Summary
Knowing God as our Father through the New Covenant brings freedom from destructive attitudes like discouragement and self-condemnation. Unlike the Old Testament where only the greatest priests could approach God, Jesus taught that all people—young and old—can personally know God intimately as their loving Father who rules the universe. This intimate relationship with a Father who loves us and cares for us is the foundation for overcoming the sins of discouragement and self-judgment.
