0:00 So dear brothers and sisters, it's great joy hours to speak to all of you and believe me, but honorary helps and your desire to hear what God has to say. I've seen through the years 0:19 that you know God is always speaking. He never stops speaking. When Jesus said, "And man shall not live by its bread alone." Remember these are 0:36 the first words of Jesus public ministry and he spoke immediately after his baptism when he was in tempted the very first words he spoke in public. 0:52 Man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. There is Matthew 4 verse4. They're very important words because those are the first words that Jesus 1:12 spoke in his midst. And in the Old Testament we could just listen to a big lecture of Moses and move on. But in the new covenant, we read every word carefully. So here's a verse which we can spend a 1:31 lot of time meditating on. And uh it contrasts here our physical food and we can say all our physical needs. There are many physical needs we have. God has created them. 1:51 The desire for food perfectly normal and nothing is wrong in it but it can be abused because we read in Philippians 3 about people who made food their god 2:07 and there are people like that and uh we have no control on their appetite and even their health. God never gave us faith to ruin our health. They still do that. If people can ruin it being on their own any doctor will tell you the number of 2:23 people in the world ruin their health by food. Everybody's been taken to an excess or taken outside the boundary. Man shall not live by food alone. the other areas where God has given us desires in our body which 2:41 are legitimate desires but which can be carried to an excess uh one is food. The other is sleep. To sleep is a perfectly normal desire if you if you can't sleep something wrong. But even that can be carried to such an 3:00 excess that people can neglect having time with God because they see and uh I often said that the first thing we should do in the morning as soon as we wake up is to talk to our heavenly father before we get out of bed. Even if 3:20 it's only five minutes, talk to your father before you get out of bed. And so even if you're in a rush that we don't have time to read the Bible because you're going to rush off to work, you can do it. It would be better 3:33 if you read the Bible first when you know it. But if you can't at least talk to the talk to your father before you get out of bed and then as soon as you're ready during the day, read the scriptures. So food, sleep, both of 3:50 which can be carried to an excess which means we are woring the body. If we live to eat instead of eat to live there's a lot of difference between the pre things and like that sleep and we need a certain amount of sleep but we 4:06 can be lazy and in discipline area and the third area is sex. there there also God is it's a desire that God has put in our body and no man or woman need ever be ashamed of the fact that they have sexual desire but why do we feel guilty about it we 4:26 never feel guilty about talking about food or sleep but when it comes to sex guilty because in the area where tremendous amount of sin is committed by many many people and so many believers and preachers through the ers have 4:43 fallen in sin in this area but it's a legitimate desire and as I said all these three areas that God has given us desire we can be indisciplined and hinder God's purpose for our life so even in the sexual desire God has 5:01 planned it such that it must only be fulfilled in marriage one person God gave one woman to Adam. He did not give him two and he did not even create many women and ask Adam which do 5:21 you want? There was only one woman and God said Adam this is your wife. Now I have personally now everybody doesn't agree with me in this but I have personally believed right from my young age when I gave my life to the Lord at the age of 5:37 20 that God had one woman for me only one somewhere in the world and I didn't know at the age of 20 through that voice I believe that I should give my body only to that one woman and I'm thankful that I discovered that 5:57 woman got married to her at being the 28th and that is the only person that God has permitted me to have a physical relationship with and if we are not faithful in this area just like in the area of food 6:16 this is a much more dangerous area because it's in the world in which we live today this is very easy to sin in our thoughts. If you look at pictures, if you're married, you're being 6:34 unfaithful to your wife by looking and admiring another woman, whether it's in your office or on the road, on the streets or in a poster or in your phone or in a movie or anywhere. 6:52 You begin to admire a woman other than your wife, you have already fallen into sin. Even if you don't touch her and if we don't adopt these standards then we have descended to the not even the in the old testament also 7:11 we they were told not to commit adulthood but this is a particular area which I want to emphasize and say many young men say oh brother the desire is so strong I can't control it well that's true there are many people who lust for 7:27 food. They can't control their appetite. They just eat and eat and eat and eat. Never know how long to stop. There are people who say that about sleep. What to do? Brother, I just feel so sleepy. I can't get up in the morning to pray or 7:39 read the Bible. Yeah, it's it's a desire. But God wants us to discipline our body. And that is why he gives us the power of the Holy Spirit. And if we don't discipline our body, we 7:57 will destroy ourselves. That is not possible in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, imagine God permitted Abraham to have many wives and concubines. Concubines were not even people that sleep around. [clears throat] And God permitted David 8:16 to have so many wives, but he a man after God's own heart. It was very different in the Old Testament. God knew that people cannot control their sexual land, but they are still not permitted to commit adultery, but we could have three or four wives. 8:33 God, not God's perfect will, but he permitted it. But when it comes to the new covenant, it's very different. The standard is so much higher. And if we were to ask how much higher it is, who was the leader of the old covenant 8:51 people? Moses. who's the leader of the new me and people of Jesus. So if you want to know the difference between the standard in the Old Testament and the New Testament see the difference between Jesus and Moses and then you'll know how much 9:08 [snorts] more the standard our standard of life should be compared to the old covenant standard of people. So let me show you a passage of scripture which I often quote in the book of Job. Turn with me to Job 9:27 and uh chapter 31. I never get tired of showing this passage and it doesn't matter if you've seen it times. Please see it again today because I know it challenged me so much 9:45 that even today I'm amazed at the standard of this man was not under Moses. Moses lived 500 years after Job. Job, the book of Job is the first book written in the Bible. Moses wrote Genesis 500 years after Job. So when God 10:03 wanted to write a book for man like I've often said this the first book he wrote was not about in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth that could wait God said for 500 years when Moses comes I'll write that but 10:20 before that God wrote another book the first book of the Bible was the book of Job and I think Job himself wrote it because all those intimate conversations only he knew inspired by the Holy spirit and he writes about himself. He writes 10:35 about how he was about the trials he took through. God took him through. And listen to what he says in Job 31. This is a man who lived before even the ten commandments was given. 10:54 And I have wondered whether new covenant men can say this. Job says in chap Job 31, I made a covenant with my eyes. [snorts] How can I then look at and gaze? Gaze mean keep on looking. It's not just a 11:11 look. Gaze means I'm staring at a virgin. You know, you see some young men see some pretty girls somewhere, maybe in the office, maybe on the screen, maybe 11:27 in a poster and gaze. Like I've often said, the first look at that woman was temptation, the second lift is sin. 11:44 Because I ask many these questions, why do you want to have a second look? It's not real life. Why do you have a second look? First look, we came out of white. As long as you live in the world, we may see so many people. But when he turned 12:01 around to look at Samuel second and the old Job says in the Old Testament before he did not have the Holy Spirit blood in him, I made a covenant with my eyes. A covenant is like an agreement. You know how you in a law court is a very serious thing. When 12:20 you sign an agreement, you have to keep it. And you know the seriousness of signed the agreement. A covenant is something like that. And Joe says, "I made a covenant with my eyes." And very good advice to all young men and older men 12:35 and married men. And even if you're 100 years old, I'd say make a covenant with your eyes. I will not I mean I will not I can't say I will not see because accidentally I see so many. I will not gaze. I will not gaze. That means I won't have 12:52 a second y. The first look is unavoidable temptation. The second y is sin. I will not gaze at a virgin because he says that that's so dangerous. Doesn't God first see all my ways and number all my stuff? Don't you see what 13:11 what I'm doing at that moment? And he says also, he's a married man. And so he says in verse 9, if my heart has been enticed by a woman, it's in the heart. It comes through the 13:29 eyes, but it's in the heart that that desire comes. And he says, "With I've been enticed and I gazed and if I have done that, if I've been already unfaithful in my life, even though I've not touched that woman, it's just that I broke the covenant with my 13:49 eyes, then made my wife grind for another man and let others kneel down over her and have sex with her because it would be terrible, lustful crime if I ever did I want to ask how many new covenant 14:08 Christians have this attitude. People say, "Oh, the desire is so strong. How can I control it?" This man without the Holy Spirit, without a Bible, without any fellowship, without any special meetings like this, without anybody to challenge him, 14:26 without a preacher came to this life. You know why he came to this life? It's very important to understand that. Turn with me to Job chapter 1, God's own God gives the reason it says in Job 14:45 and chapter one verse one, the first verse that God wrote in the Bible. This is if you want to know what is the first verse that God wrote in the Bible, here it is about a man. It says in Job 1 vers1, he 15:02 feared God and turned away from evil. And therefore, he was blameless and upright. When God wanted to write a book for man, he did not decide to write about the creation of the heaven and earth. That was written 500 years later through 15:21 Moses. God said that can wait. That's not important. I want to write a book and the first verse in my book will be about a man who was blameless who feared God and the proof of his fear of God was that he turned away from evil. He would 15:40 turn away his eyes and run away from anything that's evil. And so anyone who wants to be serious about his Christian life, I would ask him to read the first verse in the Bible. Have you read the first verse in the 15:57 Bible? It's about a man who feared God and turned away from Egypt. And the same applies to a woman too. One who fears God and turns away from evil. There are a number of things we can see 16:16 about this man. First of all was his personal life. He's blameless. There not he wasn't perfect. Blameless means according to the area of conscience he had there was no blame. You know God does not expect us to be perfect. We'll 16:32 be perfect only when Christ comes. But in the circle in which God has given us light on what is wrong and that is different for each of us. It's different for a child. It's different for a teenager. It's different for a father, 16:47 mother, married man. The sphere of light God has given us. In that sphere, I should be with conscious sin. There could be many other areas in my life which I don't have light on that God doesn't worry about but the 17:06 area I have light on I must be free from conscious sin and if a man like Job God could see that he was blameless and it's very interesting if we repeat it that is the first verse that God wrote in the Bible blameless man who feared God turned away 17:25 from evil showing me what is the upper what is uppermost in God's kingdom and then he goes on further down to show how he he was a family man and how he had a concern for his children the first 17:43 beginning of one's personal life blameless fearing God turning away from evil and I showed you one aspect of his turning away from evil let me show you something else about his attitude 18:00 of all to the parents in chapter 23 of Job. Job chapter 23 and verse 11. 18:20 My foot job 23:11 has held fast to his path. I have kept his way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the command of his lips. Now you see Job heard only in his conscience. He didn't have a printed Bible. So when he talks about hearing 18:39 God, it the conscience is the voice of God in his he says I've treasured the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Like they say, no Bible, no breakfast. That's some people motto good motto in their life. No Bible, no breakfast. 18:57 Think if people followed that all all the days of their life, no Bible means I will not have no breakfast. That was Job gratitude. I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Breakfast is necessary. But I have 19:14 treasured the words of God's mouth more than my necessary food. Now I wonder how many new covenant Christians are living even at this level of a man who lived before the old covenant. These things challenge us and they're 19:31 meant to challenge us and say Lord had so much information and knowledge today glory and all that knowledge kept in my head but practically in my life am I better than this man? You know all around us we hear about 19:48 Christians we follow it. We hear about Christian leaders who follow it and preachers and pastors you follow very often very in three areas money or sex and Job overcame in all these all those 20:07 areas. He says here, I esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. And I want you to turn it down to Job from chapter 31. He says in chapter, we saw that already 20:24 about gratitude to women of the opposite sex. And I wanted to show something else in Job 31. He says in verse 24, Genesis sorry Job chapter 31 verse 24 20:44 if I put my confidence in money and called money my trust if I deed because my wealth was great he talks about gold and money if my if I put my confidence in my money my savings 21:03 and called my savings my trust My trust is in my bank account. And if I bloated because my bank account was large and because with my hard work I had earned so much then 21:22 that would call upon me was to call the judgment of God upon me. There was a man who did not make him. He was a rich man but he never trusted in him. He said I will not make my confidence in them. And then he talks also about you know the attitude of 21:41 revenge towards someone who hurt you. Verse 29. If I have rejoiced at my enemy being hurt and finished off by God or I have exalted when some evil fell upon my enemy, then if we allowed my mouth to ask for a 22:02 curse upon me, then he says, "Let God judge me." Look at the attitude of man. Even revenge against his enemy. This is wrong. I can't do it. And remember this is a man who didn't have a viral. 22:20 And then he talks about after permitting sin verse 33 if I have covered my transgression like Adam. Adam tried to cover himself by hiding behind a tree after committing a sin. And God had to search him out and said 22:40 where are you Adam? And he says, "If I'm trying to cover my sin like Adam, then may the Lord judge me." You know, if you read the testimony of Jesus, it's amazing what what a it all 22:58 came out of one thing. He had a fear of God. He lived in the presence of God even without the Holy Spirit. That shows me the height I can reach without [snorts] the Holy Spirit. It's like a student in the kindergarten 23:21 saying so many things which a 10th grade student was not able to understand. Kindergarten school is like a kindergarten school. We are all like college graduate. You come means you're in college. If you take the old old covenant as school, new 23:40 covenant is college. And here was someone who was in kindergarten and look at the way he speaks. Okay, let me tell you another area that is his family life. He emphasized so much family life in CFC. Look at Job attitude to his family 23:58 life. He can turn with me to back to Job chapter one. in Job chapter one and it says in verse he had seven sons and three daughters and they're all grown up and as far as we know none of these 24:15 children were married they they all very rich they lived in their homes and it says here in on their birthdays each child's birthday it says in verse [snorts] 4 Job 1:4 24:31 all his sons used to go and the feast of each one on his birthday and they would invite their three sisters and they would have a feast there. Seven sons and three daughters then brothers and sisters and it would 24:49 be a birthday feast not just for one day a number of days they would celebrate that birthday. And here he says when the when the days of feasting were 25:05 over, look at Job's care for his family. He says when the days of feasting had completed Job 1:5, Job would call them. He called all his 10 children. He was a father who had a responsibility for children. I wonder 25:25 how many parents do that. These are grown up children who are having their own celebration and he calls them to his house. I wonder how many fathers have the concern for their grownup children. These are children who are living in 25:41 their own houses. He calls them gives house. And then he would consecrate them. That means he pray for them. Job 1:5. And early in the morning he would offer burnt offerings according to the number of them. That means he were he was that's 26:00 understanding of I've got to offer some offering to God in case they had sinned. He's just thinking possibly in the midst of all their celebration they may have said something against God or you know joke about God or something like that. 26:15 There could be some sin there. And he says in case they sin, he says perhaps in the last part of verse five, perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God not with their lips but in their lives. 26:32 Men had a bad thought on the god boy. I'm absolutely amazed at this. How many parents today have a concern that perhaps our children had some bad doubt about God in their heart and Lord have mercy on them. Today you don't offer offering 26:51 to me and pray for them. He called them and prayed for them and look at the last part of verse five. Thus Job did continually. That means those 10 children they had 10 times a year they had birthday parties 27:10 and it was a number of days they had their birthday parties. All those 10 times he would call them home pray for them and ask God to forgive them in case they had secretly sinned against God in their heart. Boy, 27:29 this is not external sin. This guy was living almost a new covenant life even before the old covenant had been established. So I believe God has put that as the first book of the Bible to cut out all excuse from new covenant Christians saying we 27:47 can't do this and that is a too highest standard. Go to Job Job and learn from him. I'm absolutely amazed. And the other thing I want you to see is how God could boast about Job to Satan. 28:05 He calls Satan. And he says to Satan in verse seven, verse 8, the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? Yet in the whole earth there's nobody like him. blameless, upright, fearing 28:23 God, turning away from evil. Four things, no blame in his conscious life, upright, no crookedness in straightforward, upright and 28:38 fearing God, turning away from evil, amazed of the standard of life. And the thing is Satan is one who is called the accuser of the brothers in revelation 12. He observes everybody on earth with all 28:57 his demons carefully and as soon as he sees something he accuses them to God. Amazingly, Job Satan didn't find anything to refuse job about absolutely amazing. 29:18 So, and then the next thing you read there is Satan tells Job, "Yeah, he's like that because you have blessed him." was a favorite accusation of of God of Satan rather favorite 29:35 accusation of Satan even today you have given this person God you've given this person hell you've given him a good job you have brought into the United States where he wanted to come so badly and given him a very high salary not in 29:55 rupees but in dollars and he's got a family he's got a nice house that is paid for and he lives there. No wonder he is serving you. God says take it all away and let's see whether you serve me or 30:12 not. That's what God says. That's what the devil says. You take all that away from then let's see whether he will still serve you. Can God say that about you to the devil? If the devil says take it all away from him then let me see 30:30 whether he love you and serve you or you complain and friendly whether you see whether his interest is on something on earth in God says do it do it 30:47 verse 12 don't kill him do it can God say that about Take away all those things which he has accumulated and which is accomplished 31:05 and achieved all those earthly things that he has. Take it away and let's see whether he'll turn away from him. I hope he can. Brothers and sisters, we claim to be new government Christians who love God more than money and love 31:23 God more than our job and more than our house and more than everything else. I hope it's true. The devil knows and God knows. I'm trying to point out this to you because 31:41 many times you know we think this government standard is the high CFC they preach too high a standard I mean you know other churches they don't make such a high standard they just say you s forgiven okay doesn't matter if you lust 32:03 everybody lusts of women so but anger people that's normal just go to God the blood of Jesus cleanses you that is the right attitude that so many Christians it's a very sad thing that people who claim to be in the new 32:19 covenant have that attitude as well may God help us to learn something from Job in his when he lost 10 of his children all 10 We could say in nursing one 32:41 and I came in my mother's womb. I didn't have any children. I didn't have any problem. I didn't have an American citizenship. I didn't have any of these things. What did I have when I was born? God has given me all this after I was 33:03 born. The Lord gave mean blessed be the name of the Lord. research it 33:21 you know whether it is true in your life spend before God and say that I believe the examples of people in their Bible they should challenge us and especially when we see they had nothing of what we have we have the Bible we 33:40 have so many meetings we have so many special meetings we have the Holy Spirit we have fellowship with so many believers We have teachers who continuously challenge us and we read so many books and we got so many tapes to listen to. What is it we 33:58 have? The nor is given. Jesus said nor will be required. So I'm not trying to make anybody feel condemned. My dear brothers and sisters, there's no condemnation in any preacher who preaches to condemn you is not a 34:16 servant of God. But there's a difference between something to condemn myself into challenges. I'm always challenged. I read throughout my life I read from the time I was converted. I read the biographies of Christians. It was the one of the main 34:34 things I used to read. I never read so many Bible commentaries almost zero. I never read any Bible commentaries. But I used to read biographies of believers. Oh, that sounds good. Oh, this guy gave up everything and went 34:49 as a missionary to the place and slacked by some I read so many missionary biographies in my own days as a Christian. That's what challenged me. I said Lord these people really they prove their life their love for me by 35:05 sacrificing everything that the world considered very important and prove their love by sacrificing earthly things in order to serve you. You know, I said, you know, I want to be like that. I don't want to end my life just holding 35:21 nice voices and talking about how much Jesus loves me and how much I love him and singing nice songs and being a nice church and I'm ending my life like that. No. I said, Lord, I really want my life to come to you. That's the only work I 35:36 live life on earth. My brothers I tell you and Job I've been challenged from the book of Job from almost the beginning of my Christian I faith many times and challenged every time I read it and you know the devil 35:55 doesn't give up we don't he can't he couldn't make joke complain even when he lost his children then the devil says ah that's because he loves his own life Nothing like you know man will give up everything. Um know Job 36:12 3:4 Satan says skin for skin. Yeah man will give up everything but his own life. No you touch him then he will start containing person 2 verse 10. And the Lord says okay I allow you to touch his body 36:31 but don't take his life. What I learned from that in the very first book of the Bible is that the devil cannot do anything to you or me without taking permission from God. You believe that much more know that we are a student and 36:50 we are cleansed in the blood of Christ and still joining us from the first book of the Bible. God tries to tell us that David cannot do anything in your life without my permission. How much more when you're God's children? 37:09 So brother, sister, do you have some complaint about something that happened in your life? Did it happen to you without God's permission? Was it something that God's eyes were shut when it happened to you or God forgot about you? Impossible. 37:27 Every new attack that God permits in your life from the devil is with permission. And we are told in 1 Corinthians 10:13, beautiful verse in case you don't know, remember it. 1 Corinthians 10:13, God 37:44 will not allow you to be tested and tempted beyond your ability. Like I've often said, if you're in the third grade, you'll only be given a fourth grade person paper. Your brother is in the sixth grade, you'll get a sixth grade paper. Your sister is in the 38:03 10th grade, she get a 10th grade paper. You will not be given a 10th grade person if you're in the fourth grade. If earthly teachers have that much sense, where would God allow me to be tested beyond their ability? And yet there are 38:22 believers who complain, "Lord, this is too much for me. I'm in the third grade and you're giving me a 10th grade pressing." Never. Don't accuse God of something which even an earthly unconverted teacher will not do in a school. 38:39 You give a child an examination in a at a level that child has not yet studied. Nowhere in the world do even ungodly teachers give that type of person to the child at 38:57 any age. And yet there are multitudes of believers who turn to God and say Lord this is too much for me. So I say I'm not in that grade yet. You've given me a question about my grade. the number of complaints that believers 39:15 make against God manifesting their unbelief and the devil says see God see this punishment to be a child look what he's saying if he's a hard-hearted God who gives him present which he will not give above their level 39:34 brothers sisters let us put the lie of the devil to an open shed in our light that in every situation we shall give thanks and say Lord I don't believe this child is too 39:52 and you say that about everything that has come into your life should be able to certainly the new covenant I tell you once came to chapter 3 is failing he failed he begins to complain 40:09 all the way up to chapter 42 almost 40 anyway he's complaining even try to exalt him and he's defending himself and you say what happened this wonderful man certainly couldn't boast about David 40:27 about Job behavior from chapter 3 onwards you know it was shameful occasionally he would say yeah even if this happened I will trust We got sporks of running out millennium sink again. 40:45 So you say well he failed right? Absolutely reason he did not know about the blood of Jesus Christ. He did not have the Holy Spirit. If he did, then imagine the height he 41:04 could have reached. Job chapter one and chapter 3. If that man was cleansed in the blood of Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit like we can be, where would he have been? A job living today, for example, all that's written about him from 41:23 chapter 3 up to chapter 39, there'd be nothing. Zero. Those chapters will be blank which have been triumph and triumph and triumph of follow. Yeah, that's a tremendous challenge to 41:43 us and you see that particularly there are many things you know I didn't read everything. I'll just show you one more thing in Job 31 before I move on. U 41:59 Job 31. Job 31 and verse 16. His attitude to poor people. If I've kept the poor from their desire or caused the eyes of the widow to fail 42:18 or if I've ignored orphans and eaten my food alone. Job 31:17. If I did not care and if I did not care. Verse 19, for those who are without clothes and if I lifted up my hand against any 42:37 orphan verse 21, let my hand fall off from my shoulder. And he talks about how he treats his servants and all that. It's amazing what this woman and then when you come to the end in 42:56 chapter 42, he repents of all that he says. He he says a lot of stupid things because he didn't have the Holy Spirit. But at the end, you see see this 43:12 wonderful thing we can learn. He says, "Till now I only heard about Job 43 years from I'd heard of you, Lord, by the hearing in my ear. 43:31 But now that you've spoken to me," God spoke to him directly in chapter 38, 39, 40. And he said, "Now my eyes sees you. Now I see that you really are right. And when I see you, I repent. I take back verse six. I take back 43:50 everything I have said. That's the meaning of retract. And I repent in dust and ashes. In that one sentence, everything that Job said from chapter 3 to 39 is wiped out. There's no record. It's written there 44:08 only for our instruction. But it was wiped out with one statement of Job. Lord, I take back I retract everything I said and I repent in dust and ashes 44:25 for all that I said. And immediately he was declared righteous. So righteous that God tells Job's three friends who had criticized him. 44:44 Go to my servant Job verse 8 last part and he will pray for you and I will accept him. It's almost like the intercession of Jesus for us. Like Jesus prays for us. He tells these people who criticize Job, you ask Job to 45:03 pray for you and then you'll be forgiven. Otherwise, you won't be forgiven. go to my servant Joe and ask him to pray for you. Verse eight, and I will accept his prayer otherwise I'll punish all of you. So 45:20 they did that and they went and asked Job to pray for them all those three people and it says the Lord verse 9 accepted Job's prayer and the Lord restored the false change of Job verse 10 increased already had 45:40 what did it all change just one statement follows Lord in my ignorance and confronted I take it all wonder yours dear brothers and sisters there's a tremendous power 45:59 when you have a repentant spirit and when we fear God then awaken evil and today we have no excuse I don't believe today any [snorts] of us should ever say any of the things that Job said in from chapter in chapter 3 to 39 not 46:19 one of those There's no excuse for it because we are we got the Holy Spirit that we never ever question God about anything. Job did not have an example to follow 46:36 like we have in Jesus. God has not given we only got a word from God. We have the word made flesh. Jesus as an example. He never questioned his power about anything. Even when the father forsook 46:56 him on the cross, he accepted it. So the Bible says, "Let us run the race looking at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." Job is not the author and finisher of 47:14 our faith. and God. No, he's an example that challenges me only in the sense that with so little that he had of the knowledge of God, he could come to such a standard of life. So challenges me 47:31 that such a man would so little no Bible, no Holy Spirit, no fellowship could come to such a life. How much more I have abided and you have the example of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with others and 47:47 many meetings like this. Where should I way ahead? So that there is no excuse for us anywhere. Yeah. Let's turn 48:04 in the New Testament. Let me turn to the book of James. James chapter 5 and verse 11. 48:29 James reminds us James 5 verse 11. We count those blessed who endure faithfully. And here Job is used as an example. 48:45 We have heard of the endurance of Job. Not one word is mentioned there about all the foolish things that Job said in chapters 33 to chapter 3 to 36 39. All those 36 chapters. No mention of 49:05 that. Why? Because to blot it out. And after Jesus died, the blood of Jesus cleansed Job's sin. And he only talks about the good things. You've heard of the endurance of Job. And you have seen the final result of the Lord's dealings. 49:24 And what does the book of Job teach us? One thing, James 5:11, that the Lord is full of compassion. and merciful. That is the New Testament commentary from the book of Job that we can learn from the book of Job that our heavenly 49:44 father is full of compassion and merciful. Have you heard that when we read the book of Job as a challenge to us? And in the Lord being like that to us, the Lord says that's how we should be to 50:03 other people too. Full of compassion and merciful as God has been to you. He taught us to pray, "Heavenly Father, forgive us our sins as we forgive others. How have you forgiven 50:22 all the people you have done wrong? Is it in the same way that God forgave you? I hope it is because the way God forgave us is an example. Not only forgiveness is something good for us, but it's an 50:39 example given to us as if how we should forgive others. Do you forgive others but keep a memory of it all the time in their mind? You know how God forgives us? In Hebrews 8 verse 12, I will not remember 50:57 their sins anymore. God says, you know, the Old Testament, I've often said this. The Old Testament sin was covered. Psalm 33:1 Psalm 32:1, blessed is the man whose sin is covered. 51:14 In the New Testament, 1 John 1 7 and9 our sins are cleansed. You know the difference between covered and cleansed. If you see some dirt on the floor and you put a carpet over it and cover it, that's covered. 51:33 If you scrub it away and cleanse it with soap and water, it's cleansed. It's not there anymore. Otherwise, it's under the carpet. You can lift it. It's there. Old Testament sins were all covered. It could not be cleansed until Jesus 51:48 shed his blood. Every sin committed by people in the Old Testament was only covered was forgiven. Psalm 103 verse three, bless the Lord who forgives all your sins but remembers it. God remembers with he covered. But when Jesus cleanses 52:06 it, Hebrews 8 cleans it. I will not even remember it. It's wiped out. How blessed we are. You rejoice in that my brother and sister that God says I will not remember all the wretched evil things you did in 52:24 your life even after you were converted. Think of all the evil things you did. All the wrong attitudes you had towards people. And you asked the Lord if he mercifully and he blotted it out and said, "I will not even remember it against it." And 52:41 now the Lord says, "Forgive others in the same way. Don't remember their sins against them." Are you forgiving others in exactly the same way God is forgiving you? Just think for a moment. I never stop 53:01 preaching about this because I find I always have to come back to the leaders that they get stuck in his path. There's somebody they got to gr against. There's somebody they keep in their mind. Never forget about that guy against 53:19 the Lord said, "I'll treat you in the same way you treat that person." He want that. You want the Lord to say to you, "I'm going to forget what you did against me." You don't want the Lord to say that. You say, "I will forgive everybody 53:33 and I'm not preaching what I've not practiced." There's not a human being in the world who I'm not forgetting. There's not a human being in the world who might remember what they did against. I mean, I can't do anything 53:45 about my memory. My memory remembers those things. Well, I don't hold it against them. Zero. I can stand before God and say zero. There's not a single person. And being a servant of God, I've been 54:03 the target of the devil for many years. Many, many people have attacked me. There are all types of things, much more favorable than whatever experienced. But given me grace to forgive all of them, Lord, I hold nothing against them. I 54:20 love them. I wish the best for them. I'll be very happy if they repent and I see them in heaven and I'll hug them. Even the people who did the worst evil to me, I'd be very happy if they repent and I see them in heaven. I will not 54:33 shrink away from them by seeing heaven. I say, "Oh, I'm so happy you're here because I not only forgiven them and blotted it out of attitude towards them. I can't remove it from my memory, but my attitude towards them, I had nothing else. I hope it's 54:50 like that for every one of you. is I don't know what evil people have done to you, but you be like the Lord is to your children. It will make a big difference in the coming days in your life and take sin seriously. 55:10 Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds in the mouth of God. Not proceeded along the globe but proceeds present continuous tense. You studied grammar. You know what present continuous tense is it proceeds from the 55:29 mouth of preceding. Now did you hear a word from God today in this meeting? The word that proceeded from God's mouth to me through me, he can live by. Say man shall live by 55:46 say Lord I want to live by and life the life of God is something that can overcome the forces of death. Spiritual death that you and God by his holy spirit just have faith that God may by the Holy Spirit to come to a much higher life than Job. 56:05 God is in heaven today and he rejoice if he sees that his life has challenged us and that the Holy Spirit helps us to live at the highest time and God help us. Heavenly Father, 56:30 we thank you for all your love and care. Take these healing words of all spoken and take it home to every heart that we shall live. 56:49 Every Lord represents me.
