Blessed be the Lord God Almighty who reigns forever. 5:36 [Music] Let's spend a few minutes in prayer and consecrational personal prayer. This is a time when you use words that not somebody else hasn't written. Even 5:54 though it's good to sing songs together, lift up your heart. Lift up your voice. Dear brother, dear sister, even dear children. I so thankful that we're a church where even the children love to pray and love to speak to. He's your 6:06 savior. He's your friend. He's your bridegroom. He's your father in heaven whom who loves us. Jesus taught us to pray our father who art in heaven. Our father make it personal dear friend even as we pray and as we pray as we as you 6:22 commit any needs that you know of in your own life or in the lives of those God has placed within your circle and pray with faith. The Bible tells us that God promises us wisdom for every situation. And I was reading this morning in 2 Chronicles 20 6:38 and you know the story. We think about it often and Jehoshaphat faced a an army that was tremendously greater and Jehoshaphat had also been foolish at times in his life. And yet at this time he turned to the Lord and cried out to 6:53 him. And there's three things that he says here which you've heard us say often as well. We don't have any power. We don't even know what to do, but our eyes are on you. We don't have any power. Do you realize that, friends? You 7:07 have no power, zero power to live this life this week. And you have no idea what to do this week. Even though your mind might fool you into thinking that you know what to do because you've done it so many times before at your job 7:20 perhaps, but we have no power. We have no idea what to do. But our eyes are on you. What a way to come to the Lord in prayer. And God did a miracle for them and he's going to do a miracle for us. And they sang before they saw the 7:32 miracle. Let's sing. Let's pray and commit our lives to the Lord. Pray with me. Heavenly Father, we commit our lives to you fully. We start by saying thank you. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. You are 7:45 worthy. Worthy is the lamb that was slain. You are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. All the glory and honor belongs to you. Unto you the eternal king, immortal, invisible, belong all the glory and honor and praise. So we praise you and lift up 7:59 your name, Lord. The angels who you haven't done as much for as you've done for us, praise you. Have been praising you, Lord, for such a long time, millennia even. And here we ought to do praise you even more because you've 8:11 redeemed us. You've ransomed us. You purchased us twice. We are yours, created for your good pleasure. And on top of that, you ransomed us with your blood. So we belong to you doubly over, Lord. So thank you and praise you and 8:23 glorify your name. May you be exalted not just by our individual prayers but by this gathering. You said that we can enthrone you in the praises of us gathered together like this. So Lord, we make a throne for you. Let it be a rich 8:35 throne, a throne greater than anything we would make for an earthly ruler. Thank you that the earthly rulers and authorities have no power compared to you. All men are just breath are just vapor. You alone are the one that's 8:46 eternal, Lord. And thank you that you've put your spirit within us when we were born again. And thank you that you promise to fill us aresh today with more of your spirit that we can increase we can experience this in increasing 8:57 capacity in the days to come. Make it so. Lord, we want a greater filling of of your Holy Spirit today than we re we've received yet. And we believe that for any who have such a faith and such a thirst, you will do exactly that. Lord, 9:10 there's no reason why you can't do it except our unbelief or our lack of thirst. So Lord, we come to you thirsty and believing that you will give us more of your spirit today. We may not see it outwardly. We may not feel it 9:21 emotionally, Lord. But we believe it. We simply believe your word that you will send an outpouring of your spirit. Open the windows of heaven over us and give us that boldness, that power, that spirit, the spirit of grace, the spirit 9:33 of wisdom, the spirit of revelation, the spirit of humility, Lord. All of these things that Jesus had. He had all of that, Lord. And we we you you've promised all of that, all of the divine nature for us. So we thank you and 9:44 believe you'll do that. Praise you, Lord. I pray we pray together on behalf of any who are in a spiritual battle, those we know of or even anybody here in this room or listening online. Father, we pray in the name of Jesus that you 9:55 will break the bonds that abound any. Lord, whether it's addiction, bad habits, sin that's beset them and entangle them. Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus you will loose those that need to be loosed. You came to set the 10:06 captives free, to open the eyes of those who are blind, Lord, and uh those who are lame can walk. Lord, do that spiritually for everyone that's here and listening to this prayer. Let us run, Lord, not not hindered by anything else. 10:18 So Lord, we pray that you will strengthen the knees that are feeble and the hands that are hanging down, lazy and limp, Lord. Anybody who's discouraged, I pray that you will bring a spirit of encouragement. You are the God of all encouragement, the God of all 10:30 hope. You're full of hope, full of encouragement. There's no reason for us to for any even for a second to have our heads hanging down. So we lift up our heads, Lord. We lift up our heads to you and say, "We look to you, Lord. We look 10:41 to you believing that you will answer and meet all of our needs. There's so many uncertainties we face in this world. But you knew, you promised us that we would face difficulties and trials in this world. But you told us to 10:53 take courage. So Lord, we look to you and we take courage from you. We receive courage from you, Lord. Knowing that you have overcome the world. Hallelujah. What a wonderful thing, Lord, it is that you've defeated. Everything, every enemy 11:05 we might face, the greatest of which is death, has already been defeated. All the host of hell have already been defeated. Satan is a defeated enemy. We thank you, Lord. We praise you for what you've done and what you will do, Lord. 11:16 Thank you for even what you're doing. I pray that in none of us there will be eyes of unbelief, doubting, Lord, or uncertainty or mistrusting of you. That every one of us, Lord, that we will be characterized as a church that is a 11:28 church of faith that is truly believing you. And when you come, when the son of man comes, may you find at least in our LCF, at least in our homes and in our marriages and in our personal lives, people of faith. We believe it shall be 11:41 so, Lord. So we pray that you will do that work that we have prayed for. We commit our earthly needs to you as well. Pray for those that are sick or not here today or those who deal with constant pain and suffering in their bodies. Lord 11:53 Jesus, our bodies are for you and so we know that you will take care of our bodies as well. We only ask for help that we might fulfill your purpose here on this earth. If it's a thorn in the flesh that you want us to carry, we 12:03 receive it with grace and thankfulness and gratitude, knowing that your grace is sufficient for us. But for those things that you that you you see are a hindrance to us that hold us back, Lord, from being able to function fully. I 12:14 pray you'll lay your hands and touch and heal completely those who are sick and and in need of that touch from you even this morning. You are a healing God. You are the same Jesus who walked here on this earth. You are the same yesterday, 12:27 today, and forever. And any who came to you in faith, you laid your hands on them and healed them. And we know you can and will do the same. Thank you for that promise. I am willing that we hear from you even this morning. We praise 12:38 you, Lord, for that. Thank you for the earthly jobs you've given us. And even as the world becomes more and more uncertain around us. We know that that's just the signs of the times. We look at the world around us and the uncertainty 12:49 and and job situations and all things going around in the world politically and in the business world. We know that this is just a sign that you're coming as soon. So Lord, help us to be ready. Help us to straighten up and to lift up 13:00 our heads to look to you, Lord, and help us to continue to work hard in the jobs you've given us, knowing that they come from you. We're not dependent on our employers or our bank accounts or how much we've saved up. Help us to do those 13:12 things diligently, but our eyes are on you. You own the cattle on a thousand hills. Everything that you see in the world, you've created, Lord, from the very beginning, they were yours. And so thank you that you will never allow us, 13:23 your righteous, godly people who fear you and trust in you to be in need, to be in want. We believe that promise in your word is true. Bless our church, Lord. I pray that you will bless us with a spiritual unity that's far greater 13:35 than a friendship or a club attachment or emotional connections with each other, but a spiritual unity through your Holy Spirit. Knit our hearts together in love, Lord, because we are grains of wheat that have truly fallen 13:46 into the ground and died. Make that so. We believe you will. and bless this meeting. Even may Jesus be lifted up truly in this meeting. Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts and open the eyes of each one of our hearts. We believe Jesus 13:58 will be lifted up. Lord, I pray that we will have eyes to see him lifted up and ears to hear him speaking. We believe it shall be so. And Lord, I pray you'll give us the courage to be soldiers for your kingdom, Lord. Not just people who 14:11 are being dragged along or carried along. You were soldiers in the battle. We wrestle not with flesh and blood. We refuse to fight with anybody here on this earth, but we do wrestle against principalities, powers, and spiritual 14:23 forces of darkness. Make us, Lord, effective weapons in your church who are taking down the gates of hell, knowing that the gates of hell will not prevail. So I pray for every man, woman, and child. Every brother, sister, child, 14:35 every family, Lord, that we will be fighting units this week. Weapons that are useful, vessels that are useful in your house, Lord, and parts of your army who are useful, taking down the gates of hell wherever we encounter them this 14:48 week. Thank you that you've given us authority over Satan. Give us the boldness to use it. Help us not to be lazy, Lord. We thank you. You've spoken to us already and you will continue to do that. Thank you for your love for us. 14:59 Thank you for the promise of your Holy Spirit. Lead us on captain of our salvation. We will follow you. In Jesus' name we ask. Amen. Here's an old hymn. Some of you know it, otherwise you can learn it very simply. Am I a soldier 15:16 off the cross, a follower of the lamb? Shall I fear to own his cross or blush to speak his name? Must be carried to the skies on fiery 15:40 beds of the east while others fought to win the pride and sail through bloody seas. Are there no fools for me to face? 16:00 I not stand the flight. Is this my world of friend to grace to help me on to God? [Music] 16:16 I must fight if I would rain and increase my cous I'll bear the toil and the pain supported by thy word. The saints in all this glorious war 16:41 shall conquer those shall face the triumph from afar by face. Let's sing that verse 10. We shall conquer even though we die. The saints 16:57 in all this glorious war shall conquer though they die. They see the triumph from a far by his discerning. [Music] 17:17 Manuel shall rise and all thine aries shine in robes of victory through the skies. The glory shall be. We cannot do it without the Holy Spirit. 17:42 Here's another old hymn. um may be difficult to learn, but we're going to try to learn it because I think it's a hymn we should sing often. Many of these saints of old, brothers and sisters, and even children who experience the true 17:54 filling of the Holy Spirit, we're talking this hymn was written over a thousand years ago. Um no, 100 years ago. Um um experience that. And I love this hymn. It's it's I' I've read these words many times. You could read it. I think 18:09 it was written in Streams of the Desert, that wonderful book. But here's I I want us to meditate on these words before we sing it because it's more important not that you sing it to know the tune that you meditate on the worlds. Oh, I know 18:21 dear brothers and sisters, dear church family, this spiritful life that we're hearing about is something you long for. I believe there's a longing in us. We're praying for it. We're having meetings almost daily that the Lord would fill 18:32 us. And may it never be that we allow it to pass us by that that longing ever waines. Oh, the spiritfilled life, it's yours. He didn't give it to the angels. He didn't give it to anybody else but to you, his child. Is your soul wholly 18:47 filled with his spirit? Answer that question honestly before the Lord. Does he, oh child of the king, has he fallen on you? As we continue, uh you can swip to the next slide. Child of the king, has he fallen on you? Does he reign in 19:00 your soul so that all men may see? Can can people who interact with you know there's a filling of God's spirit in you? If not, you've missed it. Brother, sister, don't be discouraged. Have faith. This is the life we're promised. 19:12 The dear Savior's blessed image, is it reflected in thee? Oh, the spiritful life. It's for you. It's for you. Verse two, has he swept through your soul like the waves of the sea? Does the spirit of God daily rest upon thee? Does he 19:26 sweeten your life? Can your wife tell that your life is sweeter since you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Does he keep you from care? Does he guide you and bless you in answer to prayer? Is it joy to be led of the Lord 19:39 anywhere? Has he swept through your soul like the waves of the sea? Verse three. Is he near you every hour? You know his presence. This is the spiritual life. Does he stand by your side? Does he strengthen you? Has he come with into 19:51 you to abide? Does he give you to know all that everything can be done? You can do everything that God has placed ahead of you this week. You may not even know what all it is, but you can have an assurance through the baptism of the 20:04 Holy Spirit that you can do everything through the grace and the power of Jesus who was crucified. Does he witness to you of the glorified son that Jesus is not still on the cross? He's there in glory. Is he near you every hour? Does 20:17 he stand by your side? Does he witness to you of the glorified son? Verse four, has he purged you from the dross of dross through his fire? Is he first in your thoughts? Has he all of your love? Is his service your choice and his 20:33 sacrifice sweet? Is the doing of his will both your food, your drink, and your meat? Do you run at his bidding when he calls you? Is it slow to answer? Did you drag your feet or you are able to run? This is the promise of the Holy 20:46 Spirit. Does he do you run at his bidding with glad eager feet? Has he purged you of dross with fire from above? Do you run at his bidding? Verse five. Has he feed freed you from self? From always thinking about yourself and 20:58 your feelings and your own emotions and from greed? Have you will you run to help any brother or sister in need? This is the power of the life of being filled with the Holy Spirit. As a soldier of Christ, can you endure hardness? We just 21:12 sang of that. Again, something the Holy Spirit does in us. Is your hope in the Lord everlasting and sure? Do you have patience and meekness? Are you tender and pure? On that next slide, you have patience, meekness, tenderness, purity. 21:27 Has he freed you from self and from all of your greed? Verse six, oh the spiritful life, it can be yours. And I like to think it will be mine. Oh, the spiritful life will be mine. Will be mine. That's how I'm going to sing it 21:40 when we get to verse six. And in my soul ever more, the shikina, the shakina was the glory, the presence of the Lord. We're told about it in the Old Testament that dwelt there in the temple at the at the ark of the covenant. shakina glory 21:52 that people knew. It wasn't the the physical object, the ark, but the glory of God that can shine in us. Is it yours to live with the tempests all stilled and it's yours to be blessed and to be filled with the Holy Ghost? It is yours. 22:10 It is yours because the Lord has willed it. So, so think about these words as you sing. Try to learn it with us if you can. And we promise we'll sing it regularly. Oh, the spiritfilled life. Is it thine? 22:28 Is it thine? Is thy soul fil with the spirit divine? Oh, the child of the king, has he fallen on thee? Does he reign in thy soul so that home and may 22:45 see the Savior's blessed gift is reflected in thee. Oh, the spiritfilled life. Is it thine? Is it thine? Then your savior's blessed 23:02 is reflected in me. Oh, the spiritfilled light. Is it mine? Is it ground? As you tread through thy soul like the waves of the sea. Does the spirit of God 23:21 daily rest upon thee? Does he strengthen thy life? Does he keep thee from care? Does he guide thee and bless thee in ser? Is it joy to be led of the Lord anywhere 23:41 as he swept through thy soul like the waves of the sea? Is it joy to be led of the Lord anywhere? Has he swept through thy soul like the 23:57 waves of the sea? Is he near thee? Does he stand at thy side? Does he girth thee with strength? Has he come to abide? Does he give thee to know that 24:16 all things may be atoned through the grace and the power of the crucified one? Does he witness to thee of the glorified son? Is he near thee each 24:32 hour? Does he stand at thy side? Does he witness to thee of the glorified son? Is he near thee? Does he stand at thy sound? 24:50 Has he purged thee of all with the fire from above? Is he first in thy thoughts? Has he all of thy love? Is his service thy choice in his sacra thy sweet? Is he 25:07 doing his will both thy drink and thy meat? Dust thou run at his bidding with glad eager feet? Has he purged thee of tr with the fire from above? 25:25 Has the run at his wedding with anger feet? Has he purged thee of trust with the fire from above? Has he freed thee from self and from all 25:42 of thy greed? Dust thou hasten to suffer thy brother indeed? As a soldier of Christ, dust thou hardness endure? Is thy hope in the Lord everlasting 25:59 and sure? Has thy patience and meekness are tender and pure? Has he freed thee from self and from all of thy greed? Has thy patience and weakness are tender 26:17 and pure? Has he freed thee from self and from all of thy grief? Oh, this blessing will be mine as I said. Oh, the spiritfilled life may be 26:33 thine will be mine in my soul ever more. The shine animation. It is thine now to live with the tempest all stilled. It is thine with the blessed Holy Ghost to be filled. It is 26:53 mine, even mine. For the Lord has so will. Oh, the spiritfilled life will be mine, will be mine. It is mine, even mine. You heard the prayer of every sincere heart that has just sung that in faith and do it Lord that 27:28 Jesus truly alone will be everything.
