Christians complain about small, small things. 17:36 What are the complaints of today's Christians? Oh brother, because I am a Christian, my boss did not give me a promotion. Nothing will be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ. 20:46 So whenever you think that you are facing a lot of trials and pressure. Around that ground there are many Christians that are crucified also. 22:38 On that ground. And I look at that and say. What are the little problems we face? We need to be reminded again and again. 23:00 What our brothers and sisters in the first century face. In the first century face. In the first century face. In the first century face. Could God have protected them from all those lions? 23:20 Sure. But he was going to glorify his name through their being killed. That is a wonderful testimony. So dear brothers and sisters God trains us for that day by little, little trials in our life today. Are you facing little, little trials in your home? 27:35 Little, little trials in your office. Little, little trials from your relatives. Somebody cheated you of the property Somebody spread some false story about you. 27:55 If you don't know how to overcome these things, How will you overcome the bigger trials that come to you in the future? There are many, many, many bigger problems that are to come to us in the days to come. 28:17 We must be able to say We must be able to say Like Jeremiah said See what they, how they treated him Verse 10 Jeremiah 20, verse 10. 28:37 Jeremiah 20, verse 10. That's a good verse for you to remember, or underline in your Bible. 29:54 The Lord, the Lord is with me, like a mighty champion. And he says in verse 12, Lord, you are the one who tests righteous people. 30:16 The Lord will not leave us alone in that moment. There's another question the Lord asks, asks in Jeremiah. Chapter 12. In terms of trial. 30:41 Jeremiah chapter 12. The Lord says to Jeremiah. Verse 5. If you have run with men, and you got tired, how will you one day run with horses? 31:03 The Lord says, I'm training you to run with men, so one day you will be fast enough to run against horses. The little tests that come in our life today are training us for bigger tests in the future. That's the meaning of this verse. 31:22 You have seen some of these horse-led tongas, carts driven by horses. How fast they can run. Can you imagine running with a horse? 31:46 You see, sometimes they have these horse races in a race course. Can you imagine a man running against a horse? The Lord says, I'm first training you to run with men, one day you will run with horses. 32:08 This is a picture. Giving you small trials in your life now. One day, you will be able to face big trials in your life. That even if your relatives are killed for the sake of Jesus, you will still be true to the Lord. 32:39 I heard a story of a tribe in Africa where a man became a Christian. All the tribe had, they were worshipping evil spirits. But, this one man and his son heard the gospel and they became Christians. 33:06 So, they brought this man and his son to the chief of the tribe. And they told him, you can't be a Christian in this village. We all have another religion here, you cannot be a Christian. 33:32 Give up your faith. But that man said, how can I give up my faith? Jesus loved me so much. He died to forgive my sin. And even though I was such a bad man, He forgave all my sin. 33:55 And came to live in me. How can I deny him now? It is impossible. Then they said, we will kill you. He says, you can do what you like, but I cannot deny my Savior. Oh, he has only done me good. 34:19 So, they got a sword and cut off his head. And then his 12-year-old boy was standing there. He was also had faith in Jesus. 12 years old. 34:42 So, they told him, see what we did to your father. Are you going to give up Jesus? That little boy said, no. Jesus died for me also. And he has come into my heart. Forgiven my sin. 35:03 So, just like my father, I love Jesus. I cannot deny him. And he said, we cut off your head also. So, what that boy did. He took off his nice shirt. 35:25 And he gave it to the chief. He says, I want you to give this to your son. Before it gets spoiled with my blood, take it. And I hope this will remind you, always, that I love Jesus more than anyone else. 35:52 And they cut off his head. Watch these things have come to faith. Sometimes, the old tribe comes to faith when they see such. When they see that people have such faith in Jesus Christ. 36:20 So, remember this, my brothers and sisters. There is a wonderful promise in 2 Corinthians 9. When we face many little trials in our life. We can remember this verse. 36:40 2 Corinthians 9, verse 8. This is one of the most wonderful promises about the grace of God in the New Testament. God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you always having all sufficiency in everything. 37:01 You may have an abundance for every good deed. That means, whatever situation you face. That means, whatever situation you face. 37:22 God will give you grace to meet that. Definitely. He will not allow you to be tested more than you are able. God will give you grace. So that you can overcome in all situations. See, I used to think. 37:47 When I heard about all these people who were persecuted for the sake of Christ. And, it is happening even today in China and other countries where Christians are persecuted for the sake of Jesus Christ. They put them in a prison for days. 38:11 Just one loaf of bread. One slice of bread. And, they pull out their nails to persecute them. Saying, deny Jesus. And, they say, no, we won't deny Jesus. I used to think about that. 38:32 Lord, supposing I am in that situation one day. And, they pull out my nails and say, deny Jesus. What will I do? And, I used to think, Lord, I am a very weak person. I am not so strong. 38:56 And, what the Lord says to me is. At that time. God will give me grace. I don't need it now. But, at that time. God will give me grace. Abundance of grace. For that particular need. 39:18 So, we don't have to be afraid. Today, we may think. Oh, look. How will I ever stand if people persecute me for the sake of Christ? If they say, they are going to cut off my head. And, my wife will become a widow. And, my children will be fatherless. 39:38 Nobody to support them. Shall I deny Jesus? Lord, I will be scared in that day. And, the Lord says. My grace is sufficient for you. At that time, God will give us grace. So, remember this. 39:59 God doesn't give us all the grace now for what we need in the future. According to the need, He will give us the grace. If I send my son to the shop to buy something for 10 rupees, I give him 10 rupees. 40:20 But, if I send my son to the shop to buy something for 100 rupees, then I give him 100 rupees. I don't give him 100 rupees if he has to buy something for 10 rupees. It's according to our need that He gives us grace. See, Philippians 4, 19. 40:45 It's a great promise in Philippians 4, 19. My God will supply all your need according to His riches in Christ Jesus. It's 10 rupees, 10 rupees. It's 1,000 rupees, 1,000 rupees. According to your need at that time. 41:10 So, when these Christians were facing the lions coming to eat them. How could they have the boldness to sing songs of praise to God? And the lion is jumping at them to eat them. At that moment, God gives them special grace. 41:36 There are many people who are burnt. They tie them to a wooden pole and burn them because they are Christians. And I used to think, supposing somebody ties me to a pole and burns me, saying, deny Christ. How could they sing songs of praise there? 41:59 Special grace. So, remember this. In the little trials of life, He gives us grace. That's why when we are tempted to sin, we must overcome. Lord, give me grace now. 42:21 So, like that, little by little, we learn to get more and more grace. Like we go to first standard, to second standard, to third standard. God, heal me of this. God said, no. 47:40 Heal me of this. God said, no. Red light. Again, he prayed. Red light. Three times, he prayed. Who is this person praying? This most faithful servant of God. Can a faithful servant of God pray to God for something 48:01 and God says, no. He says, it's no, because this sickness is for your good. It is to help you to be humble. God says, you may not realize it, 48:22 but I know humility is more important for you than your healing. That is what we learned from here. humility is more important than healing. So, if I heal you, you'll become proud. You are sick 48:42 means you'll remain humble. And so, he never got healed. And God said to him, my grace is enough for you. You will not be healed. I've also had that in my life. and I say, Lord, what is it you're giving me? Healing or grace? 50:25 I don't know which is better for me. In this sickness, if healing is better, give me healing. This is a toy that makes a lot of noise. 52:10 And this is a thousand rupee note. Which do you want? Which does the two-year-old boy say? Who wants a thousand rupee note? Give me this dog. He's a child. And that is how many believers are. 52:31 You want healing or grace? Give me healing. And you live a defeated life. I say, Lord, I don't want a defeated life. If you give me both, good. But if you see 52:51 one is better for me, give me that. So, when we are children, we talk like children. Paul also said, 1 Corinthians 13. Verse 11. 53:12 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child. But now I'm mature. I don't put away all those childish things. Children do not ask for grace. 53:32 They ask for healing, money, Lord, please help me promotion in my job. I get so many e-mails like that. Oh, brother Zach, I'm applying for this job. Please pray that I will get it. 53:54 I'm doing this examination to get a promotion in my bank. They're already earning so much money. They want more. to do it. I wish they had such a longing to overcome sin in their life. 54:17 Then I get some e-mails from some people. I want to overcome my anger. I want to overcome these dirty thoughts. Those e-mails excite me more than somebody praying for promotion or things like that. 54:43 I'm not saying asking for those things are wrong. For a two-year-old that noise making toy is good. But if you're twenty years old and you're still playing with a noise making toy something is wrong with you. 55:04 Supposing you go to some house and one twenty-year-old boy is playing with a toy like you'll start you'll pray for the poor parents. 55:25 See that's the tragedy of so many Christians. They're not praying for grace. It's all right something is right when you're a child. You see the two-year-old praying with that it is okay it's good. But brothers and sisters 55:45 you have been in CFC more than two years. You're not children. When I grew up Paul said I put away childish things. I want grace now. 56:06 Grace to overcome sin. grace to behave more like Jesus Christ. And Lord if you give me healing good I'll ask for it. Jesus taught us to pray give us this day our daily food. 56:27 But what if one day we don't get it? See in the Old Testament they did not have such power. They did not have grace in the Old Testament. Grace came with Jesus Christ. Grace came through the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. 56:47 Old Testament people were like little babies. So you know how they prayed? I'll show you. Proverbs chapter 30 Proverbs 30 In the middle of verse 8 This is Old Testament prayer. 57:12 Proverbs 30 verse 8 Don't give me poverty and don't give me too much money. That sounds like a very spiritual prayer And many Christians think that is how I must pray. 57:34 Don't make me poor. Don't make me too rich. What is the reason? Because if I get too much, verse 9, I will deny the Lord. And if I become too poor, I may steal. 57:58 Now tell me, supposing you become poor, will you deny the Lord? I don't think you'll do that. And supposing you become very rich, will you deny the Lord? If you become poor, will you steal? If you become poor, will you steal? 58:18 No. That is Old Testament. Lord, if I am poor, I will steal. If I have too much, I will go away from you. That is not a New Testament prayer. In the New Testament, Paul says, Philippians 4, verse 12, verse 11, I have learned a secret. 58:50 Verse 11, I have learned to be content whatever my circumstances are. If I have nothing, if I have got humble means of prosperity, it is the same. In every circumstance, I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry. 59:21 And having an abundance or having nothing. This is New Testament. Paul says, I am not praying, Lord, don't make me too rich or too poor. If you give me a lot of money, it will not spoil me. 59:41 I can give it for your work, I can share it with others. And if I have too little, yeah, I will be happy with that. Because he realized, grace is the most important thing. This is not the prayer of a child. 1:00:03 The child prayer is what we read in Proverbs 30. Remember my brothers and sisters. Grace is the most important thing that you can get. And the Lord told Paul, my grace is enough for you. And it is true for all of us. 1:00:24 And we want to be a testimony to Satan. Whatever may happen in my life. This year, next year, next 20 years. Till Jesus comes. I don't know what all is going to happen in my life. There may be sicknesses God heals me from. 1:00:47 There may be sicknesses God does not heal me from. He may give me poverty. He may give me plenty. He may give me promotion in my job. Or, I may lose my job. But I know that God will never forsake me. 1:01:08 I know that his grace will help me in every situation. Remember this verse which you read, 2 Corinthians 9 verse 8. God is able to make all grace abound towards you. You always have enough for every situation. 1:01:32 And an abundance. Finally, Hebrews chapter 13. It says here. We must be content with what we have. 1:01:56 Verse 5. Middle of that verse. Be content with what you have. Why? Because God will give you plenty of money? No. No, no, no. He will give you a bigger house? No. He will give you a better job? 1:02:16 No. But what is his promise? Something better than job and money and house? What is his promise? I will be with you. I will never desert you. I will never forsake you. 1:02:37 Hebrews 13.5 If you believe that. Lord, you are better than job, house, money, everything. You said you will never leave me. You will never forsake me. Then what shall I say? 1:02:58 Verse 6. The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me? It says that we must boldly say that. Verse 6. I want you to say that in Tamil now. 1:03:19 Please say it with brother Vincent. Yeah, no. Just say the Lord is my helper.
