0:27 I have received the grace and mercy from God. And I'm so thankful and grateful to God for that and to the church for that. The theme of this conference is the complete purpose, the full purposes of 0:46 God. Uh John the Apostle 1:06 who knew the Lord from the age of 30 and after having, you know, known him for 60 years, in the 90th year, he's writing something very clearly. If we want to 1:37 we don't want to go like what we heard this morning about the way the other churches have gone down, then we have to give close attention to what John says after having known the Lord for 60 years, when he was 90 years old, he said 1:51 this. Uh to put it in a nutshell Apostle John, he says that you know, to clearly emphasize and tell everything in a nutshell, he says that in one verse. 1 John chapter 3 2:15 verse 23 And this is his commandment, we must 2:37 believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ and love one another just as he commanded us. After having witnessed the kind of 2:57 degradation or the corruption which came into the church John gave wrote this verse as something to help. This is not a difficult matter. With great experience, John is telling 3:21 just one simple thing. What am I going to tell you something new? No, believe in the Lord. And just as he commanded us That means only one thing the Lord 3:43 expects from us. We have to believe in him. The one thing he expects from us is that we believe in him. The one thing he expects There is only one thing which he told us and this thing one thing which he 4:02 commanded us, that is to believe in him. Believe in me and obey the one commandment I have given you. 4:19 That one commandment. One thing which we should have is a commandment and one thing which we should obey. Yeah. That is very simple. I am preaching to you what I have seen 4:41 in my life. What does it mean by saying believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? John chapter 6. We know that John chapter 6 speak he 4:59 speaks completely about faith. He says that I am the bread of life. Anyone who comes to me, he will never hunger, he will never thirst. What is the work that you have to do? There is only one thing you have to do 5:16 and that is you have to believe in me. But many of us think that we have a 5:38 faith because we say that by by in the name of Jesus or by the blood of Jesus, but do we have the faith which Jesus Christ has is wanting us to have. We who have faith on Jesus Christ, we 5:59 should have faith like Jesus Christ. Just like how he was dependent on the on his father, the same way we also need to be dependent on him. We have to have that life. John chapter 6 6:25 verse 57 I live because of the living father who sent me. In the same way, anyone who 6:41 feeds on me will live because of me. Now, do you know what it is to have faith? Beloved young brothers and sisters, if 7:00 you can have the faith like how Jesus Christ had the faith, how, you know, exciting your life will be. That makes me so excited. How should you have believe in the Lord? That he's has been written very clearly in this verse. 7:20 I live because of the living father. But you're alive today because you're eating every day. For your earthly life, the food which you take, that is the one which 7:39 preserves and gives you life. Here the Lord is telling us about another life, a spiritual life. He's saying that you know for this 7:59 spiritual life I live because of the living father who sent me. That means I'm holding on to the father. I'm dependent on him. Like how a small baby is feeding as it 8:31 at its mother's bosom, I'm also feeding on my father. I'm dependent, I'm holding on to my father and because of that I'm living. The one who feeds on me, he will also live because of me. You have to feed on my flesh and you 8:51 have to drink my blood. At this time, they were offended by what they heard. Many of them, they were offended by what they heard. Oh, what is this eating the 9:10 flesh and drinking the blood and we can't take this or follow is follow this and so they didn't believe in him. They didn't they didn't follow him. Here the Lord is declaring the full purposes or the full counsel of God. 9:26 Verse 41. Then the people began to murmur and 61 Verse 60 61. Jesus was aware that his disciples were complaining, so he said to them, "Does this offend you?" Now you can see like how Jesus Christ 10:03 was saying, "Why you should have faith in me and because I'm going to another place." What will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again? Because I am dependent on the Father, 10:46 I'm leaning on the Father and I'm having faith in him, I am going towards I'm going towards the Father now. I am speaking in your own language. I'm just telling you that like how you 11:09 eat rice and sambar and you're living, you have to eat my flesh and then you have to live. Many people think that if we fast and 11:31 then we take part in breaking of bread once a month, then we'll partake of this life of Jesus. Here, young uh beloved brothers and sisters, the Lord is talking about his life of faith. Every moment, I have to be dependent on 11:55 him and learn from him the life which is lived by faith. If you don't live like this, what will happen? Jesus was saying that I will go off, and you will just look at the the way that I have gone, and you'll be 12:13 fooled, and you will just remain fooled. John chapter 7 verse 33 and 34 And even here, they're whispering, 12:36 they're murmuring. In verse 32, when the Pharisees heard the crowds were whispering such things In verse 33, he says again I will be with you only a little longer, 12:56 then I will return to the one who sent me. You will search for me, but not find me, and you cannot go where I'm going. This life of faith is a life which I am living because of the fullness of the Holy Spirit. This is not an education like how I am 13:21 sitting in front of the computer, writing a program, and learning because of that. The one who The one who sent me The life of faith is because I'm dependent on I'm leaning on the Father 13:39 and the life which he gives me. And that is why he had that burden on the last day, the climax of the 13:58 festival. Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds. Why did he have to shout? Because he saw the unbelief in the people and he became emotional and he shouted. Even now if Jesus was standing here, he 14:25 would look at you young people who have been saved at the young age, he would be burdened that you should have a faith like how he had a faith. If you will live a life which where you're leaning on the Father or trusting 14:41 in the Father, what is the kind of life you will live? Verse 38. 7:38. Anyone who believes in me may come and drink for the scriptures declare rivers of living water will flow from his 14:59 heart. Beloved brothers and sisters, believe like how Jesus Christ believed. Believe in the Father and believe in me. As you came the forgiveness of sins, you 15:26 have to believe like how I believed. Verse chapter 8 You can see how the Lord is declaring the full counsel of God in the next 15:42 chapter in verse chapter 8. Verse 24 23 and 24 meaning that I am from below Verse 23 and 24 Jesus continued, "You are from below, I am from above. You 16:01 belong to this world, I do not." That is why I said you will die in your sins for unless you believe that I am whom I claim to be, you will die in your sins. You know that Jesus Christ had that 16:26 faith and he was able to preserve sin from getting into him. He was in a flesh like where he could be tempted just like how we are being tempted. Like how he was I mean in like us in 16:48 that boundary where Satan is ruling. I believed in the Father and preserved myself from allowing 17:07 sin to come into me. Verse 46 Which of you can truthfully accuse me of Surely our behavior is found Now, the Lord is saying that I had faith 17:28 in the Father and I preserved myself from being of allowing sin to come into me. Now, What is the connection What is the connection between these two things? None 17:53 Because we have to live like him. For only that reason he told these two things. John 8:51 I tell you the truth, anyone who obeys 18:11 my teaching will never die. You know that Jesus Christ listened to the words from the Father. The Sermon on the Mount were all the words which he listened from the Father. He heard those words and preserved 18:34 himself from sin and he taught that you should also live like this. Verse 55 John 8:55 But I do know him and obey him. The 18:53 later portion of the verse 55. This morning we heard to know the Father and Jesus Christ, that is eternal life. John the Apostle says that our fellowship is with the Father and with 19:12 the Son. John had learned the faith which Jesus taught. I know the Father and I have faith and I can follow his word. And those words have told you. 19:36 How is it that you will not be able to hold to follow those words? Many of us in Christian life, we are burdened when we say that we have to 19:53 follow or obey the words of God. We feel that the words on the Sermon on the Mount are a big thing for us to follow. I want to tell these things to encourage you. After having been saved, it's 35 years. 20:13 I was saved when I was 24 years old. This truth which I am preaching now, I heard first from Brother Zach. I also believe that these words which 20:46 Jesus Christ had taught, I can also follow and obey these words. Only two sins. The young people who are sitting here, whoever it may be, two sins. Jesus Christ said that these people who 21:06 commit these sins are will go to hell. Have we learned to live without becoming angry? Have we overcome the lust in our eyes a 21:28 married person and not to commit adultery? Have we learned to live that life of overcoming? If after 10 years you are not able to 21:48 follow and obey these words, I can tell you that you do not have the faith which Apostle John is teaching here. So, okay, many of us are living a life of overcoming. We also say that we know the secret of 22:07 victory over sin. But but there is no growth in the church. There is no growth in the fellowship among the brothers in the church. If you go in Tamil Nadu, there are many 22:30 churches in many villages as groups of 50 and 100. But if I go and examine them to see whether they have the faith and whether they have that fellowship, it's not there. 22:49 Why? The reason? Whatever I have discovered, I'm telling you. The full purpose of God, the counsel of God, which I had seen in the of God because of that I'm telling you. 1 John I'm telling you what John has told. 23:15 1 John 1:5 God is light. And there is no darkness in him at all. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you. If I say that God is in light and I know 23:44 God, then I should also remain in light. verse 7 If you are living in the light as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other. You know the reason why there is lack of 24:12 fellowship among the family or among the brothers, it is because you are not cleansing ourselves. We are getting fooled because we have overcome some external sins and we are 24:31 proclaiming that we are victory over sins. Can you listen to what John is saying because from his example from his experience? 1 John 1:8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only 24:52 fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. I'm parking and I can bear. Uh what is it? You are proud or you have to be careful 25:20 about the love of money. They say, "No, I'm not having any love for money and I'm humble." If John was here, what would he tell? Don't you have sin? You don't have pride and you don't have a love for money. You don't have you know, truth in you 25:42 and that is why you got deceived. I want to show one more deep verse in this 1 John. 1 John chapter 3. It is because that I am not walking in 26:12 this light and I am not cleansing myself. Then that life is not there and the church is also not built. Here how John is giving an advice. 1 John 3:3. And all who have this faith 26:35 What is that hope? And we know that we will be like him when we see him face-to-face. And he will keep himself pure and he'll be purifying himself. 26:54 How much should you purify yourself? No, I'm not getting angry with my wife. My children don't see me getting angry with And I in the church church I am an elder with a testimony. No, I'm just keeping quiet. 27:24 Because now I don't speak to my wife about what I don't like and I'm keeping silent and it's like a cold war. The Lord knows that in my heart there is an anger and I know it. The church people will not know that my 27:46 children will not know. Even my wife will not know. But if I am a person who is honest the Holy Spirit will tell me. No, you're avoiding her. You when she's 28:05 coming this side you're going that. Now you want to even go out of the house saying bye-bye. When are you going to cleanse yourself from that anger which is there in your heart? The sin which is hidden in me, the sin 28:28 which is dwelling in me, I have to cleanse myself. Why is that we don't cleanse this sin? Because we are happy that we are having an external testimony before men. BUT HERE JOHN IS INCLUDING HIMSELF. He 28:53 says that if we say that we don't have sin. If you ask John how is it that you're cleansing yourself now, what would he say? I want to ask you now, what is your goal? If you want to overcome anger, how how 29:20 to what extent you should cleanse yourself from anger? We don't have to imagine something, but John is explaining that here. Verse five. And you know that Jesus came to take 29:41 away our sins and there is no sin in him. The Lord spoke to me some months before on this verse. You don't have to compare yourself with 30:08 some other human being, even your wife, and say, "Oh, I'm not becoming angry like my wife." Your goal The Lord Jesus Christ, he is pure. How pure is he? There is no sin in him. Beloved brothers and sisters, in our 30:32 spiritual life have we got this as our goal? We have come to a conclusion that we don't have love for money. We have come to the conclusion that we are humble. If Brother Zac has, you know, introduced 30:53 me as a person who is humble, do I have to go and relax in his in an easy chair? Apostle John says, "If we say that we have no sin, then we are deceiving ourselves." I have to cleanse my pride. 31:11 I have to cleanse my LOVE FOR MONEY. I HAVE TO CLEANSE MY ANGER. To what extent should you cleanse? There is no sin in him. That is the goal. These people who are having this hope 31:35 will cleanse themselves like this and will be having the hope of meeting him and our bodies will be redeemed. If we don't have that kind of a cleansing, we will not come into a close fellowship. 31:53 Jesus also knew that. He came to establish the kingdom of God. He did not come to raise individual Moses and Elijah. In the days of Noah in the days of 32:12 Moses, Moses was the most humble person on earth. But I want to ask this question, why is 32:34 it that two elders, they are not able to have fellowship. They speak very clearly on humility, but they can't have fellowship. Why? Can we hear the full counsel of God? John 13. Many years ago, I saw this verse and I 33:00 was shaken. John 13. Verse 33. John 13:33. "Dear children, I will be 33:21 with you only a little longer and as I told the Jewish leaders, you will search for me, but you can't come where I'm going." There are many people who are saying here that I have been born again and I 33:41 have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and I'm living a victorious life. But If Jesus Christ was here, he would tell you also the same thing. You are the disciples of Jesus Christ. You are my disciple. You have learned to live without sin. 34:04 But you won't be able to come to the place where I'm going. I'm going to the Father. For eternity, my Father and I we have been together, but to that place you cannot come. Why? Because you cannot come to the place 34:28 where I am, I'm giving you only one commandment. Therefore, I'm going to uh In Living Bible, it is written very clearly. It says, "Therefore." Therefore, now I'm giving you a new 34:49 commandment. Love each other. To what extent should we have that love, and how should we love? Just as I have loved you. 35:11 How was Jesus Christ loving? In the context, you can meditate. Judas Iscariot has left to betray him. Do you know how faithful Jesus Christ was? Until the last moment, Jesus Christ 35:37 never revealed to anyone that Judas was the one who was going to betray him. John 13:28. None of the others at the table knew what Jesus meant. Now he has left. Now he's going to be betrayed. 36:02 You see how the Lord is talking about that. Verse 31. As soon as Judas left the room The time has come for the son of man to enter into his glory. And God will be glorified because of him. 36:19 Now I'm asking you. Is the Lord glorified like that in our churches? When the when my wife is doing something which I like, at that time I'm calling her darling and I'm hugging her. But when she is not in the when there is 36:53 a disagreement and when she is not obeying me, am I able to love her like how Jesus Christ loved Judas Iscariot? When our fellow elder he is always saying yes to whatever we are saying, we are saying, "Oh, you're the best 37:12 co-worker and we are so happy with him." But if he says, "No, I cannot agree and I cannot do like that." Now, what has happened to my love? Do you know this? Jesus Christ taught one thing and he 37:39 taught that with an example like how I love Judas Iscariot now, you have to love. Was it so difficult for Jesus Christ to love John who was reclining on his bosom? In this chapter it is written that Jesus 37:56 Christ was troubled in his spirit. Why was his spirit troubled? I feel that he would have become emotional and shed tears and he would have said with a quivering voice, "One 38:15 of you will betray me." JUDAS ISCARIOT JESUS JUDAS ISCARIOT JESUS JUDAS ISCARIOT Can I love my brother like how Jesus Christ loved Judas Iscariot who betrayed him? If you say that you cannot love like how 38:46 Jesus Christ loved, whoever you may be as a disciple of the Lord, you cannot go to the place where Jesus Christ is. But many of us are so foolish like how 39:04 Peter could say, "No, others may not come, but I will follow you. I'll follow you even unto death." That's the same thing what Peter said in the next verse. Verse 37. But why can't I come now, Lord? He 39:23 asked. I'm ready to die for you. We are also saying like that. I am giving my life and building the church. Beloved brothers and sisters, 39:41 whoever we may be, the one who sins does not know him and will not be in the place where he is. Whoever it may be, if you are not able 40:09 to love the people whom we don't like or the people who are inconveniencing us, we cannot go to the place where Jesus Christ is. But after I've come to know this truth, I can say that in my life there has been 40:27 a change of direction. Now I don't have a desire for anything. Only one desire. Am I having life today? Today, if you are alive, then look at it 40:44 as a day of salvation. Lord, if you show me the love for money in my life today, I will repent and change. Nobody knows that I'm proud. But when you show it to me, I will 41:05 cleanse myself. Who can prevent you from living a life like this? It is 35 years since I was born again. Only people have helped me, and no one 41:24 has hindered me from cleansing myself. I don't have a desire to be an elder in any church. Because of some um unavoidable circumstances, I am an elder. I don't have a lust to preach in any 41:46 conference. I have a never-ending desire and you know uh uh I have one desire and you know an ending desire. Before I die, I should become like Jesus Christ. And before I die, I must love everyone 42:06 around me. When not when they are like John, but when are like Judas Iscariot. It's a challenge. When your life companion is like Judas Iscariot, you can love like how Jesus Christ 42:28 loved. Jesus Christ has come to give this life. Jesus Christ to come has come to give this faith. THIS IS THE FAITH that he started and ended. One who does not have this faith, he 42:47 cannot be with the Father and the Son. The one who does not have this love cannot have faith with Father and the Son. He cannot have fellowship with the Father and the Son. We have to be perfected in love. When I go to some village because 43:17 brother Zacharias to go to inquire, some people are not even coming to meet me. When I asked that elder, we have I've traveled so far and I've come. Why is it 43:34 that this brother has not come? He told that you only tell me what he's told. I don't want to come and see because I'm afraid to meet him. Do you know what I told? If he is not able to meet the man, me 43:59 who has a breath in my nostril, if he's not able to meet me, how is he going to go into eternity and meet the Father and the Son? I said that whether he comes now or whether he doesn't come to the church, let's talk about someone else. 44:19 Can you look at another person face-to-face and speak to him? If you can cleanse your life from anger, you can become angry like Jesus Christ. Sometimes I have to rebuke some 44:43 brothers. When my wife or my co-worker comes and tells me, "Why are you speaking so harshly? Learn to speak with love." I will not justify myself. I will go and 45:07 fall before the before the Lord my face. I want to be like you, Lord. I don't desire to be an elder in any church. I have learned I said, "Lord, I teach me 45:24 to become angry like you." Other than this desire, I have no other desire in my life. And this is the full counsel of God concerning each one of us. 45:41 He who has ears to hear, let him listen.
