Summary
The speaker advises developing a lifelong thirst for God by consistently reading the Bible with an open heart, seeking a challenge from God's word daily. To maintain this hunger, one must confess sins and forgive others, as these simple acts keep the 'fire burning' in the heart. He also addresses questions on baptism and the Holy Spirit, emphasizing that belief is paramount and that the Spirit's work is sovereign, like the wind, and not dictated by ritual.

How can I develop a lifelong thirst for God?Daily openness to God's word and dealing with unconfessed sin or unforgiveness keeps a spiritual fire burning in the heart.
Is water baptism necessary?Water baptism by immersion is a clear command of God rather than a minimum requirement, and believers should obey it rather than clinging to dead traditions.
Is the laying on of hands necessary to receive the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit moves like the wind in various ways, and while hands were laid on some in Scripture, others received the Spirit directly from God without it.John 3:8
Is it right to pray to the Holy Spirit? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one, and God looks at the heart of His children like a loving father even when our prayer language is imperfect.
Can genuine miracles be done without the Holy Spirit? Many will perform mighty works and cast out demons in Jesus' name yet lack a personal relationship with Him, proving that spiritual fruit and love matter more than miraculous gifts.Matthew 7:22
What is the new covenant application of remembering Lot's wife?Believers must remain detached from earthly possessions and live in constant readiness for the Lord's return without needing to look back.Luke 17:32
How do we distinguish spiritual pride from discernment?Spiritual pride stems from self-reliance, whereas true humility comes from looking to Jesus and receiving discernment strictly within one's God-given sphere of responsibility.
How do we properly prioritize ministry, family, and work?A clean personal walk with God is primary, followed by faithful fulfillment of family responsibilities and honest labor in secular work without mixing times inappropriately.
How can I avoid discouragement in physical pain, mental disability, and loneliness? When faced with severe trials like physical pain or mental limits where healing is not granted, believers must rely on God's sufficient grace and find their ultimate satisfaction in Christ rather than earthly marriage.
What is practical advice for meditating on God's word? After initially reading through the entire Bible, believers should slow down to meditate deeply on smaller portions or even single verses as the Holy Spirit speaks.
What is the biblical model for church leadership?Unlike the old covenant high priesthood or modern one-man dictatorships, New Testament churches are led by multiple elders appointed through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
How can we foster fellowship without it becoming a club?True church fellowship must prioritize the vertical relationship with God through Christ before building horizontal relationships with one another.
Is it unloving to avoid certain people who caused harm? While believers must completely forgive others and pursue peace by avoiding unnecessary conflict, they are not required to maintain close fellowship with troublesome individuals.
What is the significance of the head covering?Head coverings in church meetings serve as a symbolic acknowledgment of spiritual hierarchy and the covering of human glory, reflecting the instructions given in scripture.
How do we receive assurance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit?Believers should seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit by faith through God's word rather than relying on human opinions or manufactured experiences.Galatians 3:2
