0:12 This question is about dreams. Why do I get dreams where I feel so powerless under Satan's hand even though I know his head has been crushed on Calvary and tried to claim that while I dream, what should I do when I have such dreams? 0:28 >> Yeah, okay. Um Uh let's start with Ephesians 6. Ephesians chapter 6. And while you're turning there, the thing about dreams and I hope this will be liberating for you for you all who here who may struggle with dreams. Dreams are the 0:46 remnants, kind of the leftover of sinful thoughts we had in the past. If we had sinful ways of thinking in the past then even after we have repented of it, have been cleansed of it the mind is in such that some of those 1:00 things can sometimes come back into our memory while we're asleep. And I I want you to know that you don't have to be discouraged by that because you're asleep. You didn't choose to think that thought. In the past you had thought those 1:12 things. Maybe it's impure things or lustful things, fearful things like this question talks about. Maybe you fear controlled your life in the past. And because it was so much a part of your past, now in your dreams they kind of come up to the surface. 1:27 But, But, uh, uh, as you keep thinking about whatever is pure, whatever is praiseworthy like we're told in the scriptures as you keep filling your mind with God's word, then those things will get further and further down into your deep recesses of 1:43 the memory and won't come up again in your dreams. And for that we're given the word of God. Ephesians 6 verse 17 tells us that the way to fight Satan is with the word of God. In the whole armor that we are given, there's only 1:59 one thing that is an off offense weapon. Everything else like the shield of faith, the breastplate, the helmet, the shoes, the belt, those are all defense, you can say. The one weapon that we're given that's offense, that attacks, is the word of 2:15 God. And that's why you must know God's word, fill your mind with God's word. And it says, "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God." That's the sword by which you can attack Satan. So, 2:27 when you fill your mind with God's word, that effectively becomes a sword that you can use against Satan. And over time, if you're faithful in this area, keep fighting it, you'll find that those dreams will get less and less and 2:40 eventually go away. Amen.
