shepherding of our um Elder Brothers we want to thank you for their selfless sacrifice and labor Lord we are so grateful to you for all that you have done for us we want to thank you and Praise You praise to the Lord for all that he has done he is good to us all these years he 21:23 has kept us and preserved us protected us and he has led us all these years in unbroken fellowship and strengthening his body the church here and in different 21:41 places we want to thank the Lord for all these things manifold blessings of God that we have received we want to praise you dear heavenly father we look up to you even this morning as we come [Music] 22:00 into your presence Lord maybe feel the sweetness of your presence and the power and your glory and Splendor let we let us experience that and dear father we pray that you'll anoint all the brothers 22:16 and sister who will be sharing and greeting and also those who testify thereafter we pray that you will bless this meeting and glorify your name we pray in Jesus precious name 22:35 amen amen please take your seats yesterday we completed 49 years as CFC church here in 22:54 Bangalore and today we are in the 50th year starting and this is the Year of Jubilee according to the Old Testament 50th year is considered the Year of Jubilee 23:10 [Applause] yeah thank you for that spontaneous response and uh uh we are so grateful for our Elder 23:30 Brothers brother Zach and brother Ian who met on the 17th of August 1975 in brother Zach's house not knowing what to do but they were 23:46 led to wait upon the Lord and they continued waiting upon the Lord for a few more weeks and then they started meeting and the that's how a trickle became know got increased like it says 24:04 in Ezekiel 7 47 it became more and more the water became more and more ankle deep Knee Deep then waist deep and then it was a river where you know he could not walk anymore so it was just flowing 24:21 and he could swim in that and that's how the Lord has led not only here in Bangalore but also in different places of this country and abroad and we are so grateful to brother Zach and brother Ian for their selfless service and the grace 24:40 that's been upon them and uh the strength and good health that God has given them all these years to be able to see the 50th anniversary and this morning we are so 24:56 glad that they are uh joining us from the US brother uh Santos will speak first this Brothers brother Zach's uh Second Son and after that we sing a song and 25:14 then sister Annie will uh give a greeting and a word if she has on his her heart and afterwards we sing a song and then yesterday we were able to meet brother Ian Robson and he was we were so blessed to be with him yesterday he was 25:33 so cheerful and so happy and uh he gave us a word to the church we asked him do you have a word on your heart for the church he said yes and he shared briefly and he prayed for the church also which we'll be uh 25:51 seeing after sister Annie speaks and we sing a song then after that brother uh Zach will share the word and uh then we will continue with our program today now over to you uh brother Santos happy 26:09 to have you in our midst in spite of your busy schedule and I think it is almost midnight for you so we welcome you and we hand it over to you Santos over to you yeah thank you dear brother Charles 26:29 and thank you CFC family for this opportunity to join you all it's amazing that it's been 49 years and we've coming into our 50th year I thought I would briefly share some of the things that the Lord reminded me of that I have 26:47 learned from CFC that I haven't found in any other uh group of churches or teachings and it has changed my life if you turn with me to Hebrews chapter 27:06 13 Hebrews chapter 13 one of the first distinctive marks of CFC is that in this church I heard people who could say follow me as I follow Christ I can honestly say I don't think 27:26 I've heard a single other preacher say that follow me as I follow Christ and yet that's exactly what Paul said and we read here in Hebrews 13: 7 remember those who led you who spoke 27:45 the word of God to you and considering the result of their conduct imitate their faith follow their faith Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11 verse one follow me as I follow 28:02 Christ and here we see in Hebrews 13 what it is about Paul and Jesus also ultimately but even those who led us who spoke the word of God to us what is it about them that we can follow and should 28:21 follow it's not their preaching it's not what jobs they had it's not their way of speaking or copying them it is their faith and the faith I'm very thankful especially for my dad and mom brother 28:38 Ian and uh the example that my dad and brother Ian have set for me personally and for us as a church is one that I believe will withstand has withstood the test of time but their faith I thought I would start by looking 28:57 at that I think of three examples we have in the Old Testament three examples of Faith ultimately Jesus is the author and perfector and finisher of our faith but I thought of three examples from the Old Testament that show us that I've 29:17 seen that an example in these Godly brothers who have led us and the first is Noah if you turn back a few pages to Hebrews chapter 11 Hebrews chap 11 it says in verse 7 by faith Noah 29:35 being warned by God about things not yet seen in reverence prepared an ark for the Salvation of his household by which he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to Faith I believe this is 29:54 exactly what happened in 1975 that these brothers being warned by God about things not yet seen decided to prepare an ark a local expression of the body of Christ gathering in a little 30:14 home kicked out by the mainstream Christendom not knowing what to do as we already heard but they decided to prepare an ark and that's the ark that um I believe the Lord is continuing to 30:31 build today we know the story of Noah it saved his entire household everything else was destroyed and Noah continued to preach Faithfully for many hundreds of years saying get into the ark get into the ark he didn't change his message 30:51 even though nobody joined him he didn't change his message and ultimately God validated his faith and that's the faith I see in these Godly Brothers the next example is in verse 26 is 31:07 Moses Hebrews 11 verse 26 Moses considered the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt for he was looking to the reward and that too I've seen in the example of these 31:26 brothers in CFC the reproach of Christ the message of the Cross and death to self and the aspects of Christ that are not attractive that was greater riches to these brothers who set the example for 31:44 us than all the Treasures of the rest of Christendom because they were looking to the reward and here we are reaping the reward of that today the reproach of Christ a lot of people in Christendom are drawn to the exciting things of 32:02 Christ the blessings of Christ and all the other wonderful things that Christ can do for us but what I heard here in CFC was that the reproach of Christ was far more valuable than any other of the treasures that the rest of Christendom 32:18 are seeking even the blessings the reproach of Christ and that's the example of Faith I've seen here in CFC the third example I thought of was Daniel in Daniel chapter 1 Daniel as you know was unafraid to 32:40 stand true to God even though everybody else around him all the other Jews around him were compromising and you've probably seen that play that we've seen in CFC standing true to God in a day of compromise I think that phrase describes 32:57 CFC see standing true to God in a day of compromise and here we read about Daniel in chapter 1 verse 8 Daniel set upon his heart that's the literal translation there Daniel made up his mind that he 33:16 would not compromise he would not defile himself even though he was going to be the only one even if he was the only one and all the other Jews said here we are in Babylon let's fit in we've got to win the Babylonians Daniel said no I 33:32 will not compromise and as a result of that three other brothers came alongside him and stood with him and ultimately Daniel got a revelation of the future kingdom of God that nobody else got even in the Old Testament because Daniel set 33:49 upon his heart not to compromise this is the example of faith that we have seen here my dear brothers and sisters uh many of you most of you were not here when CFC started 50 years ago but this is the example of faith that we have to 34:06 this day and praise God that he has preserved the life of especially these two brothers as living witnesses as living examples of Faith so that's the first thing follow me as I follow Christ and that is still the message I hear today 34:21 the second distinctive Mark of CFC that I wanted to mention is that the opposite of God is is money the opposite of God is money and I thought about this time this period if you turn with me to Joshua chapter 34:39 24 this period in time when Moses had died and now Joshua was getting to the end of his life he had led God's people into the promised land but the promise was not yet fulfilled they were in the land of Canaan in the land flowing with 34:57 mil and honey but they hadn't yet experienced the Fulfillment of the promise that God would give them every piece of land on which their foot tread and all the enemies would be defeated and here you see an interesting sequence of events in Joshua 35:16 24 verse 19 it's a dialogue it's a conversation between Joshua and the people of Israel and Joshua keeps telling them you better fear the lord you better reverence the Lord and they say yes we will and it goes back and forth you can read it 35:35 sometime beginning in verse 14 onwards but I just want you to see here in verse 19 then Joshua said to the people this is Joshua 24 verse 19 you will not be able to serve the Lord for he is a holy 35:51 God Joshua on his deathbed knew the condition of these people and said you don't know God as a holy God you won't be able to serve him he is a jealous God and look at what he says he will not forgive your transgressions or your sins if you 36:10 forsake the Lord and serve foreign Gods let me read it this way according to the New Covenant verse 20 if you forsake the Lord and serve money then he will turn and do you harm and consume you after he has done good to 36:29 you the people said to Joshua no but we will serve the Lord and Joshua said to the people you are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen for yourselves the Lord to serve him and they said we Are Witnesses verse 23 Joshua says now 36:47 therefore put away your love of money which is in your midst and incline your hearts to the Lord the god of Israel and the people said to Joshua we will serve the Lord Our God and we will obey his voice if you look in the continuation of 37:07 that story in the Book of Judges turn over the page to chapter 2:1 you see that even though these people said that they would serve the Lord and forsake the other gods judges 2:1 all that generation also were gathered to their fathers and there 37:25 arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord nor yet the work which he had done for Israel they knew Joshua they knew about their history but they didn't know the Lord and they did and they served other 37:41 gods and I wonder what will be the future of CFC 10 years from now 20 years from now 50 years from now it doesn't have to be like it was for the people of Israel doesn't have to be like it was for that generation but we must remember 37:59 what we have heard the opposite of God is money and that's a distinctive message I've heard in CFC and money has a way of creeping in the love of money has a way of creeping in I see it in my own flesh I see how easy it is to be 38:15 drawn into that and to not see that distinctive Mark between God and money and it's creeping into Christendom more and more and it could very easily creep into our churches if it hasn't already we must fight it dear brothers 38:30 and sisters we must individually fight it and you see if you go back to chapter 1 you see what it was like how did this serving of other gods come in how will the serving of money come in if it does we see first of all in Judges chapter 38:49 1 verse 5 that they were fighting against this one king uh the perizzites and they the king of the perizzites was named his name was Adon bezak in verse five judges 1 verse5 and they found him and fought against him and they defeated the Canaanites and 39:08 the perizzites but Adon bezek verse 6 fled and they pursued him and caught him but they didn't kill him they didn't deal radically with the love of money they cut off his thumbs and his toes big toes that's all they did 39:27 and you go on to see that um ver at the end of verse 7 they brought him without his thumbs and big toes to Jerusalem and he lived there until he died it started with a little little losing of that radical 39:46 attitude and that's how it will be a little compromise in the area of money just cut off the big toes just cut off the thumbs but let him live there in a corner in your heart or in our hearts and that's how that little bit of 40:02 backsliding comes in a little bit of the love of money you read further on in chapter 16 relatives who were not part of the Israelites the relatives of Moses's father-in-law the descendants of the kenite Moses's father-in-law went up 40:20 from the city of Palms with the sons of Judah to the Wilderness of Judah which is the south of irad and they went went and lived with the people relatives have often come in and drawn people away from the church and away from the truth to compromise in 40:37 some area that's another way in which the devil will try to sway us allowing us to be influenced by the love of our relatives Jesus said you cannot be my disciple if you love your relatives goes on to say in verse 19 you 40:53 see you can read that whole chapter how one after the other they took possession of parts of the country but not all of it verse 19 the Lord was with Judah and they took possession of the Hill Country but they could not drive out the 41:08 inhabitants of the valley because they had iron chariots God saw these little areas of compromise and little by little these enemies were allowed to remain little by little that love of money was allowed to remain and then you see a sad 41:24 story beginning in verse 27 the manasse did not take possession verse 29 Ephraim did not take possession zebulun verse 30 did not take did not drive out the inhabitants verse 31 Asher 41:43 did not drive out the inhabitants verse 33 naftali did not drive out and then even Dan in verse 34 and think of these families in God's people these tribes that should have d destroyed wherever they were settling they should have 42:00 destroyed all the inhabitants but they did not and that could easily be the testimony of us in a few years dear brothers and sisters if we don't take it radically the opposite of God is money but God is on our side to help 42:15 us the third thing I want to mention is the third thing distinctive thing that I heard in CFC is that my destination is not heaven but is to be with Christ and like him forever Romans chapter 42:33 8 verse 29 Those whom God fornew Those whom God forew he predestined to become conformed to the image of his son so that he would be the firstborn among many 42:51 Brethren and that's why we read in verse 28 God is causing all things to work together for us if you have faith if you love God if your if your only ambition in life is to love him to those who love God we read in verse 28 and who are 43:11 called according to this purpose to be like Jesus God will work everything out for your good even if it doesn't look like it God will cause everything to work out for good if your ambition is to love him and if this is your purpose in 43:28 life to be conformed into his image and so I pictured it if you'll turn with me to Revelation chapter 14 I pictured it like an invitation to a wedding I'm sure you've all received invitations to a wedding but there's one 43:45 invitation to a wedding that in an Earthly wedding that is the most important to me and that's the one when I got married myself that's the most important wedding invitation I ever received I've been to many other Weddings But that's the one that matter 44:00 the most and there's one wedding invitation that's most important for all of us for each of you dear brothers dear sisters dear children dear young people if you look at the wedding invitation that Jesus has given you it's not just 44:13 to come and eat the Biryani and the brol curry and whatever else it's to be his bride he's invited you to live with him beginning now to not just be sitting in the audience watching the marriage Feast of the lamb but to be 44:29 sitting at the table with Jesus because we read in Revelation Chapter 14 verse 4 and this is the invitation that CFC showed me Revelation 14 in towards the end of verse four these are 44:47 the ones who follow the lamb wherever he goes these have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the lamb and no lie no hypocrisy was found in their mouth they are blameless so I thank God that he allowed 45:05 me to be raised up in CFC to grow up here and over time to understand these truths and to experience them in in increasing measure little by little even though it's taking me a long time but I thank God for showing me that my destination 45:23 that my where I'm looking and where I'm headed is not just to sit there in the audience at the wedding Feast of the lamb but to be sitting with Jesus as his bride and I hope that we will continue to hold on to these truths that we've heard following 45:40 the example of those who are following Christ hating the money with all of our hearts and fixing our eyes on being with Jesus wherever he goes may the Lord bless us bless you all dear brothers and sisters I wish I could have seen seen 45:55 you all in I'm sitting there and I could see all your faces so happy to see you I praise God for these past 49 years the lord gave us ever since we start started CFC or the Lord started a 49:00 work um I before uh when we were before we we were asked to leave the Baptist Church I remember the days and evenings my husband and brother Ian used to pray 49:16 together in our home and maybe in some other place but many hours they'd be praying together and then knew something was going to happen and they were preaching God's word all the truth from God's word the baptism of the Holy Spirit and free 49:36 being free from worldliness free from the love and attraction of money all those things where the messages and we could see the hostility coming up in that uh Baptist Church and finally they were asked to 49:53 leave I still remember vividly that day after they both spoke their last message and we were standing outside me with the sanj Santos was holding on to my sari and sandip was a baby in my arms and 50:12 sister Vicky was there and she had two children we were both standing there and as the members of the church was was uh passed by uh many of them many who seem to love us and whom we had helped and we spent 50:30 many hours talking with them and all that but when they passed by we could see they were looking at us as if we were some kind of criminals and we something something was not right in their sight and many quickly passed by some sort of smiled 50:50 sheepishly and they went by but both of us both sister Vicki and I we knew knew that the Lord was leading us leading our husbands and all that we needed to do was to support our husbands the Lord didn't ask us to do any big 51:08 thing or to be pastor's wife or Elders wife nothing and both of us for us our calling was to support our husband and that's what we be I've been doing all these years and sister vikii all the years when the lord gave her life she 51:25 was like that is we we wanted to be just like one of the sisters dressed like one of the sisters behave not in any special way to attract attention to ourselves and I praise and thank God for the wonderful work he started in 51:42 CFC it was like a small beginning in our home but those were glorious days when we used to meet uh um for some days when there was a h national holiday the whole day we would meet fasting and prayer 52:00 singing such wonderful songs such uplifting songs we felt like no musical instruments nothing but we felt so uplifted in our spirits and prophetic word according to our need it came straight into our heart and all the 52:18 blessings that came the blessings on our children our children were couldn't understand they to sit on the floor in the front but they had their share of testing also in school they were ridiculed because they thought they were asked why why 52:35 don't you go to any proper Church you sitting at home you don't have a church and they were ridiculed but you know that testing was the best thing for them that made them strong so that they could face testings in future in their lives 52:53 they could face college life they could face pressures in their work and stand true to the Lord by God's grace I praise and thank God for that powerful word we heard in the church those days and made us and our children strong God blessed 53:13 our families so wonderfully we could every need of ours was supplied by the Lord we didn't have any desire for any of these things which other people crave for because we knew that our Lord was 53:29 sufficient and gave God gave us the promise that the glory of the latter house will be greater than the glory of the former in the coming days the glory which will come out from the church will be much more 53:48 glorious and that's what I want to testify let God's name be glorified in everything for for everything that he has done he has done wonderful things some things we couldn't understand we went through our share of Trials 54:05 sicknesses surgeries so many things but through it all we felt the presence of the Lord the strength from the Lord and God's name glorified I praise and thank God dear brothers and sisters may God bless you all and lead each one of you to 54:25 wonderful experiences where each one of you and and me too all of us will be renewed every day and stand before the Lord when he calls us or when he comes not ashamed of anything that we that uh we did in our Earthly 54:44 life I praise and thank God for the wonderful word I praise and thank God for the elders he has given us in not only in shame and sorrow that a time could ever be when I let the savior's pity plead in vain and proudly 55:19 answered all of self and none of thee at one time that was our condition my condition when I said even though the Lord was pleading I was saying all of self I want myself I don't want anything of God yet he found me I beheld him 55:37 bleeding on that a cursed tree heard him pray father forgive them and my wishful heart said faintly some of self and some of thee that was the Second Step Lord I'll give a little bit of myself to you 55:54 and little bit I want to keep for myself day by fell asleep all continues as it was from the beginning as the spirit of the times we 1:01:19 living in so when they maintain this it escapes their no that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water through it's the 1:01:38 world at that time was destroyed being flooded with water and by his word the present Heavens are being 1:01:54 preserved of fire death for the day of judgment destruction ofly men I will think that this is a passage that we should 1:02:11 constantly you know be reminded of because that's the spirit of the times we live in don't let this one fact toap your notice beloved [Music] that one day is like a thousand 1:02:29 years and a thousand years is like one day Lord is not slow about his promises some something but uh since you look for the these things be diligent Beed by him in peace spotless and that is of the word the has 1:04:35 put on my heart for myself and for us as a church you know if we are diligent that word diligent is you put everything into 1:04:54 it and uh to regard the patience of Our Lord as salvation just according to the wisdom given to as our beloved brother Paul to you as also 1:05:12 is letter speaking of them in which are these things hard to understand with the untaught and unstable just talk as they do also the rest of the scriptures for their own destruction you therefore 1:05:31 beloved knowing this beforehand be on your guard the powerful words that are there be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and 1:05:48 fall from your own said fastness but grow in Grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to him be the glory both now and the day 1:06:07 of that is the word my heart for us grow in Grace so you thanks that is only 1:08:26 because of your grace we have come so far 50 years if we are not satisfied we want to see the church Gove forward and 1:08:42 uh Run Race with such diligence that we would be diligent to be found by you in peace will not [Music] stri like 1:09:05 we all these years no stri will be diligent follow inless Without Blame 1:09:27 believe doing that hold on to that word because it's nothing of us we grow gra and in the knowledge of our Jesus Christ yes Lord and we want to 1:09:46 see Your Glory church we don't have another 50 years I'm sure we don't have another heart for for the church we want to hear from you so brothers and sisters we've completed 49 years and uh in the Old 1:13:03 Testament if you turn with me to Leviticus in chapter 25 in your Bible one of the things that we tried to teach right from the beginning when we started 49 years ago was bring your Bible to the 1:13:22 meeting okay if you have it on a phone good but um get used to reading the Bible and when you come to the meeting follow the scriptures in your Bible don't just listen to it because otherwise you will not become familiar 1:13:40 with the Bible the best thing is to have a written bible because then you'll become familiar with it you'll familiar with the pages familiar with where the promises are written I still use a Bible even though I have it on my 1:13:54 phone I still use I use it on my phone when I'm traveling but otherwise I want to be familiar with the scriptures because sometimes I know promises somewhere there and I can find it when I have a written bible with me so that's 1:14:08 one of the first things we emphasized from the beginning always have a Bible with you in a meeting and I'll tell you something I've seen people in CFC backslide and those are the ones who never bring a Bible to the meeting and I 1:14:22 can tell you right now I want to warn you you come without a Bible to the meeting in a few years you'll be a backslider I can prophesy that learn to bring a Bible to the meeting respect the word of God very very important many 1:14:37 churches have started well and they have backslid in the church doesn't backslide people in it come and go and in the last 49 years we've seen so many people come and go come and go just like in the early days of the church we don't want 1:14:54 that to happen now to all of you sitting here we want you to endure till the end till Christ comes again so in Leviticus 25 it says here in the 50th year verse 11 Leviticus 1:15:10 25:1 you shall have the 50th year as a jubilee not at the end of 50 years at the beginning of the 50th year the Jubilee begins you see in the world we celebrate the end of 50 years we call 1:15:26 it golden jubilee 50 years are over but here the Lord said the first day of the 50th year which as far as CFC is concerned is today because CFC started on the 17th of August 1:15:45 1975 and yesterday 49 years or over today is the first day of the 50th year and that's what's written here the 50th year beginning is the Jubilee and they were supposed to celebrate in verse 13 in this Year of Jubilee so in the first 1:16:02 day we begin the celebration to thank the Lord for all that he's done for us see the Lord asked the disciples the Israelites rather to remember their deliverance from Egypt by taking part of 1:16:21 a feast called the Passover every year even now after 3,500 years or more after they coming out of Egypt they're still celebrating now the 1:16:37 Passover because they respect God's word which says remember how your ancestors were brought out of Egypt so God wants us to remember imagine remembering something that happened 3,500 years ago that's what the pass Passover is 1:16:54 remembering that our ancestors who lived 3,500 years ago were delivered from Egypt that's what the Jewish people remember so it's good for us also we've come we haven't completed so many years we completed 49 years but it's good for 1:17:10 us to look back and see what the Lord did for us and at that Passover time the father would sit at the head of the table and tell all the children and family members remind them again and again and again every year of what the 1:17:27 Lord did in delivering them from the bondage of slavery that they were in Egypt so it's good for us also to remember as we look back what the Lord has done for us I want to share a few things also from because there are 1:17:43 hardly anybody here sitting here maybe two or three who were there 49 years ago and most of you 99% and more were not there so I want to tell you how it was it didn't begin just 49 years ago it began about 49 and a half years 1:18:02 ago or 50 years ago when Ian and I were in I was attending that church and Ian was an sort of assistant pastor there I didn't have any responsibility but I would preach there every Sunday freely 1:18:22 and I found myself in a great need even though I've been at that time a Christian for more than 15 years I Was Defeated defeated defeated not committing some gross outward sins 1:18:39 outwardly my testimony was perfect but in the thoughts anger things like this I thought there's no victory over these things I have no Victory I mean those are sins which people don't think are serious to have bad thoughts to get angry now and then 1:18:56 and ask we go to the Lord and ask him to forgive us so I can say that I lo I knew Jesus not as a savior because he had not saved me from these sins he he was I knew him as a forgiver and many Christians know Jesus as a forgiver that means they sin and 1:19:14 they go to Jesus and he forgives them and they sin again the next day they go to Jesus and he forgives them and they go again day after day after day year month after month after month year after after year he forgives them he forgives 1:19:27 them he never saves them from any of those sins I ask people sometimes you call Jesus your savior has he saved you from anger no now what does he do he forgives me has he saved you from the lust to the eyes no has he saved you from getting 1:19:43 irritated has he saved you from gossiping has he saved you from speaking evil of others behind their back no then what does he do when he do that I ask the Lord to forgive me I say then please be honest and call Jesus your 1:19:56 forgiver you say Lord you're not my savior because you have not saved me from these sins but you're my forgiver thank you for being my forgiver but yet Christians say Jesus Is My Savior I say what has he saved you from so that was 1:20:10 the thing that concerned us 50 years ago so we began to seek God and there was the answer did not come in one day I remember Ian and I Ian Robson and I would spend hours in prayer and fasting in and praying again because he I didn't 1:20:27 know his life but I discovered he was also defeated like me so we were two defeated people seeking the Lord for power to be free we were not seeking to start a church or anything not at all we was seeking need in our personal life 1:20:43 that's how everything starts when you're in need in your personal life and you begin to seek God and you broken and you're humbled and you say Lord I'm a hypocrite and we began to pray like that and seek God and then 1:20:59 finally in early January 1975 God met with us baptized Us in the Holy Spirit and fire and brother Ian separately and me separately but uh we've been praying together for many years but the Lord met with us separately it was an individual 1:21:19 experience for me and an individual experience for him it was good that way and that turned my life around completely I didn't become perfect that day no but what was happened was that my life that was going down down down down 1:21:38 down down down and hit rock bottom I couldn't go further down that day the graph started going up and he didn't shoot up it's a slow gradual up up up 1:21:57 up not I I hadn't become perfect if you draw a graph there were small dips on that graph now and then less and less frequently and becoming less and less frequent and the dips are not so deep but the graph was going up it means I was slowly becoming an 1:22:16 overcomer after the baptism in the holy spirit so we began to preach that Ian Robson and I were in that church we preached the baptis AP ISM in the Holy Spirit for about 6 months it was a Baptist Church they don't believe in the baptism in the Holy 1:22:33 Spirit They Don't Preach it they think it's a wrong teaching they say you get everything when you are converted and you don't have to bother about anything more there after well that is all Theory but the fact of the matter was I Was 1:22:43 Defeated what's use telling me you got everything when you're converted I say then the if I got everything when I was converted then I say the Christian Life is a pathetic life because I'm defeated all the time is there more God has for 1:22:55 me so I said I'm not going to listen to that I believe God has something more for me and we sought for the power of the Holy Spirit that's how CFC started we can say and when we began to preach that there was tremendous opposition in the 1:23:11 church they didn't they would speak behind the scenes of course I was the main preacher so they would speak against me behind my back and all types of things finally once when I was out of Bangalore visit sitting somewhere else 1:23:25 for about a couple of months I heard when I came back that there was a lot of rumbling and complaining going on against me and what I'm preaching and so I called the board together of the board of the church and I said listen if you are not happy with 1:23:41 what I preach tell me what's the matter they said we're not happy with your preaching baptism in the Holy Spirit I said so what do you want me to do they said we want you to leave I said sure and I assure you I said I will not 1:23:56 split this church I don't believe in splitting the church I don't believe in separating Believers you're all believers I won't separate you and will you give me one last chance to preach next Sunday say goodbye to this church and they said no we can't give 1:24:12 you any more chance I said okay thank you very much but the next day some of them felt a bit guilty and they called me and said okay brother Zach one last chance you can preach so I got up there last Sunday in July that is sorry August 1:24:28 17th 1975 I got up in the morning uh Sunday morning and preached and I said dear brothers and sisters I give you an example from the Old Testament the children of Israel came to the borders of the promised 1:24:47 land and God said go in and they turned back and God was so angry with them that for 40 years they wandered in the wilderness and all those people who turned back they died so I said you have today come to 1:25:06 the borders of the promised land youve heard the promise of the baptism in the Holy Spirit you can go in or you can turn away the choice is with you I'll give you a second example God sent his son to Israel gave them another chance 1:25:23 receive him receive him he preached for three and a half years and they rejected him and you know what happened God waited waited and after they crucified Christ and rejected him some years 1:25:41 later God gave them 40 years to repent they didn't and he scattered the Jewish people to every country in the world that was a punishment in the year 17 ad the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed and the Jews 1:25:58 were scattered all over the world they rejected Jesus so I said these two examples don't make the same mistake that's all I have to say and I 1:26:15 left and then Ian got up they they had not asked him to leave he got up and said if you don't accept what is teaching I'm also leaving so we both left and we met outside and said so I saidan what shall 1:26:34 we do the church has an evening meeting but we can't come to go there anymore because they've thrown us out so I said you come to my house so Ian and Vicki his wife came to our house and my wife and I we met together and we 1:26:48 prayed the four of us and some of our small children and uh he said Lord we don't know what to do but we love you we try to stand for what you preached what you taught us to preach and they've rejected us but we seek you we want to 1:27:04 wholeheartedly follow you if it's just the two of us families that's fine we two families will stand for you as a testimony but then the next week I I told let's meet again in my house next Sunday morning what else to 1:27:21 do and then the next week two or others came and we never asked anybody to come never never never till today have we asked anybody come and join our church in 50 years we've never done it those who want to come can come those who want 1:27:36 to go can go that was my attitude always and they came and then so we began to have Bible studies and we preached Luke 14 the conditions of discipleship number one love God more than your father mother brother sister wife 1:27:55 children Christ must be Supreme Christ must be so Supreme in your life like and the that your the love for your relatives and all becomes insignificant like when the sun comes up you can't see the stars I said our love for Christ 1:28:09 must be like this light of the Sun that our love for our relatives and all becomes disappears we care for them but Christ is supreme like the sun blots out the stars and the second condition I said we we must take up the cross every 1:28:26 day die to ourselves every day it's all in Luke 14 and follow Jesus that's what we are preaching in this church that's what we're going to preach here and the third thing is we must not possess anything we can have money here's an 1:28:42 example I can have money but I must not cling to it keep it in an open Palm Lord I say this is yours my house is yours I didn't have any car I I rode a scooter for 42 years I said my scooter is yours 1:29:01 everything my little bit I have in my bank account is yours I will not possess anything the Lord said he must forsake your possessions that means don't hold on to it the scooter was still in my name I had a house that was in my name but I 1:29:18 didn't possess it I said it's it's yours Lord and and I even I told Annie and I said that if Ian is ever in need brother Ian then we will sell our house and give half the money to Ian and I'll take the other half and we'll rent a house and 1:29:37 stay together we are brothers we'll stick together that is how we lived those days we were brothers who loved one another and but we will not possess anything nothing is mine that's how we started and that's how we continued and 1:29:52 that's how we are today we don't God has taking care of us he's provided for us he's provided our families but we don't possess anything that's discipleship then we started studying after that The Sermon on the Mount Matthew 56 and 1:30:08 7 and detail for months we studied those three chapters and we saw how anger was a terrible sin and lusting out of women was a terrible sin uh hating our enemies was a terrible sin and uh we have to love our enemies we have to 1:30:26 bless those who curse us and we must never uh give money with allowing people to see we must hide what we give to the Lord any sacrifice we make to the Lord in our private life we should never advertise it nobody should know what we 1:30:43 are giving to the Lord we must give to the Lord but it must be in secret all our sacrifices must be in secret nobody must know the sacrifices we make in secret for the Lord and if we pray we should hide um how much we pray people used to sometimes 1:31:00 asking much later brother sa there are people who pray for 3 hours a day and 5 hours a day and uh like that how much do you pray I said I'll give you the answer from scripture I tried to obey what Jesus said in Luke 18 and verse 1:31:19 one I said that's how long I seek to pray all right some people pray 3 hours a day and 5 hours a day but Jesus told us let me read it here Luke 18:1 he was telling them a parable to show that they ought 1:31:37 to pray 24 hours a day is that there in your Bible 24 hours a day what does it mean at all times Luke 18:1 it means 24 hours so I said you ask me how long I pray I said I pray 24 hours a day I'm 1:31:55 not on my knees 24 hours a day I do 101 things during the day but the spirit of prayer which is a dependence upon the Lord that is prayer prayer is not just a formal giving God a lecture or giving him a shopping list give me this give me 1:32:13 this you know like U mother sends a children to the shopping or the husband goes with a shopping list that his wife has given him that's how we go to God this this this this this this this Lord and that's it that's not prayer that's 1:32:26 begging men not always prayer is fellowship with God primarily we can ask for many things but primarily it's fellowship with God our Father who are in heaven not give me this give me this give me this no Our Father who are in 1:32:38 heaven Hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done that's that is prayer and I said I want to have that attitude 24 hours a day I never want my life to be centered in myself but God that's the meaning of prayer continually there's nowhere in 1:32:54 the Bible it says you got to pray for 5 minutes or 15 minutes or 3 hours a day or 5 hours a day 24 hours a day and beyond that if you do spend specific times in prayer it says in Matthew 6 don't tell anybody about it so I've never told 1:33:12 anybody about about that if you fast don't tell anyone about it encourage other people to fast but you don't have to tell how often you do it or what so the main emphasis in the sermon in the mountain is keep it all secret seek 1:33:26 honor only from God for anything you do do you do something in the church don't tell anybody about it do you secretly you know we have brothers who sometimes secretly go and clean the toilets they never tell anybody about it 1:33:44 they quietly go and clean it and like that secret things people do give quietly and do little little things that need to be done and nobody knows about it that is what we have taught in CFC from the beginning a secret life before God and 1:34:03 now you have become a big number but if you don't have that secret life I can say you're only sitting in CFC you're not a part of CFC you're only sitting here if you want to be a part of it you must have this type of Life which I'm 1:34:17 talking about where you seek to live before God's face and not seek the honor of man where you love Jesus more than you love any of your relatives where you're willing to die to yourself in every situation where you won't get offended you won't get Hur 1:34:31 hurt by anything anybody does or says and you'll forgive everybody sometimes people say oh brother that those people did some terrible thing against me and my children really I asked them what is the biggest sin that anybody ever committed 1:34:47 on this Earth the biggest is the crucifixion of Christ and what is the very first thing Jesus said when he was crucified father forgive them I said let's follow him whatever sin anybody does against me it's less than the crucifixion of Christ 1:35:05 I must say forgive them these are the things we taught in the early days of CFC forgive others love them bless them don't curse anybody and if people call you bad names just ignore it people would call me the devil they print 1:35:18 tracks to show that I was the devil and that the the head of the serpent was in my my house and all that type of things the Lord said keep your mouth shut never defend yourself the Lord will be your Defender and I can tell you after 50 1:35:36 years the Lord has been our Defender even when people took us to court the Lord was our Defender and made those people recognize that what they did was wrong to apologize to us we never follow f with 1:35:54 them we LED them then we love them today we forgave them we forgive everyone who's harmed anything against us so and then God gave us Revelation on scripture and we preach the baptism in the Holy Spirit sometimes we used to 1:36:10 have prayer meetings where would particularly in holidays we come together from 9:00 in the morning till about 3:00 in the afternoon we'd all be on our knees and fast and pray and pray for the baptism in the Holy Spirit you need to do that more you need 1:36:28 to pray and seek if you're not baptized in the Holy Spirit I urge you spend time to wait on God and say Lord I want the baptism of Holy Spirit if you can pray with another person at least one other person much better that's how we did it 1:36:41 in those days that's how the church went on and then of course many people are offended and came and went and came and went and came and went and today I'd say among the people who came out with us in the early days there only one or two 1:36:55 left here apart from Ian and me and our families there only one or two others all the others came and went away we had about 60 people meeting in our house um after 6 years they were all meeting in our household 1:37:13 and almost 99% of them left okay anyway over 90% so we didn't and many others came and like that there was a turnover we can say people coming and going and coming and going in the 1:37:32 early days some people came because we used to help people financially and then we discovered we don't want to gather people who come only from money money and financial help so we said we're not going to help people financially we want to see whether 1:37:46 people become disciples if you come here and for two years you prove that you want discipleship then we will see about helping if you if you're in need but we're not going to send a CH run a charity organization here to help the 1:37:58 poor people because there are thousands of people who will come there so these are some of the things we stood against and the main thing we preached along with baptism the Holy Spirit was overcoming sin Romans 6:14 we preached sin will not 1:38:15 rule over you that is one of the main things we preach Romans 6 ver14 sin will not rule over you because you're not under law now you're under grace you don't live by rules you're under grace that is one of the prominent verses we preach 1:38:35 sin shall not rule over you when you're tempted you'll fight fight so we encouraged everyone to seek to battle to overcome sin particularly the sin of Pride selfishness pride and selfishness are the two greatest sins we 1:38:51 need to battle all other things come out out of that anger bitterness lusting everything comes out of Pride and selfishness Love of Money everything comes from there so we preached and preached and preached against that and 1:39:09 we fought and fought and fought against it in our own lives and we didn't judge others we had to judge ourselves I said don't judge others God is the judge let him judge everybody we you judge yourself and if you judge yourself the promise in 1 1:39:25 Corinthians 11 is you will not be judged in the final day so that's how we started I'm just trying to tell you the history of how we began and little by little and we were not discouraged when people went away other people came we said Lord we are not 1:39:40 interested in numbers we are interested in quality of people not quantity quality of people we want wholehearted you know Jesus spent 3 and a half years preaching and we read in 1 Corinthians 15 about 500 Believers were there finally and out 1:39:59 of the 500 he had 11 people who were wholehearted Radical wholehearted disciples and he went away 11 wholehearted disciples who were anointed by him with the Holy Spirit on the day of 1:40:17 Pentecost and those 11 Apostles preached in such a way that the message of Christianity has gone all around the world for 2,000 years how is that did they have a lot of money no they were so poor if you go to the coasts of India you see how poor 1:40:36 fishermen are I've been there and I look at some of those poor fishermen on the coast they don't even have a shirt to wear sometimes I say yeah Peter James and John were like this these are the ones Jesus picked up not Scholars 1:40:51 ordinary uneducated people who was sincere wanted to follow the lord and how old were they you see pictures of Peter and John with gray hair that is all much later they were 27 28 years 1:41:09 old some of you are 27 28 years old that is the age at which Jesus picked his disciples and by 3 years later they were about 30 years old and I think the youngest of the disciples were 30 years old and the others may have been 30 33 1:41:23 because Jesus would not have chosen anybody older than him it was not the tradition among the Jewish rabbis so everybody was younger than him so on the day of Pentecost all the leaders of the church were less than 33 years 1:41:42 old you don't have to have 50 60 year old people as Leaders they were 33 years old but they were baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire John the Baptist was also around the same age as Jesus 30 years old and he what a fiery man he 1:41:59 was so these are the examples I I pray that they God will raise up a generation of young people in the days to come who are on fire for God set on fire by the Holy Spirit young people and so when we read Romans 6:14 sin shall not have dominion over you if 1:42:18 you are under Grace Grace is like an umbrella that protects the umbrella protects us from rain Grace protects us from sin so Grace is a new testament word that's the other thing we preached and I'm trying to tell you that 1:42:33 some of the things we preached in those early days and which we continue to preach Grace is a new testament there was no Grace in the Old Testament the first person in the Bible about whom it says Grace was upon Him is Jesus in Luke 1:42:51 2: 40 in Luke 240 it says the grace was Upon Jesus oh so Jesus also needed Grace that's amazing many people don't know that Luke 2:40 says grace of God was Upon Jesus so when the grace of God is upon a 1:43:10 person Romans 6:14 sin cannot rule over him so Luke 2:40 when Grace was Upon Jesus sin could not rule over him that is how Jesus did not sin it's not that he came here as God and did not sin that's what everybody all other 1:43:24 Christians believe but that's not true God does not if he came as God then there's no need for Grace people could have just lived as God but he had emptied himself not of the person as God he was a person he was God but of the 1:43:38 powers of God it's like if a rich billionaire from some other country comes to India and lives in the slums he's got a credit card which he can draw Millions from the bank but he lives in the slums to teach the people in the slum how to live 1:43:57 simply and clean earning just whatever you earn do you earn 00 rupees a day okay I'll earn the same thing as you I'll work like you go and earn 50 60 rupees a day and I live here and I'll show you how to live within that income 1:44:13 and to live clean but if he uses his credit card every now and then then he's cheating he does not use his credit card he lives on the same income that other people in the slum earn and he shows them I want to be honest with you I'm not using my credit 1:44:29 card I am a billionaire I own billions he says but I don't use that because if I use that then I can't be an example for you so I will never use my credit card I will only live with what I earn just like you going to work every day earning coming 1:44:48 back and living in the little amount I I earn from you if it's 100 rupees a day or 60 rupees a day whatever you earn I'll earn and on that I will live and I'll show you how we can live otherwise he cannot be an example so if Jesus came 1:45:00 from heaven and said I live here as God he cannot say follow me straight away I'll say Lord I cannot follow you because you're God but he emptied himself not of being God he emptied himself of the powers of God just like 1:45:13 this man who came did not stop being a millionaire but he did not use his credit card so Jesus did not use the credit card of being God he lived with our limitations and overcame so that he can say follow me just like I deny 1:45:26 myself every day and you can deny yourself follow me and like Grace is upon me Grace can be upon you that's why Jesus is my example so that's the other thing we proclaimed that Jesus is our example because he came like us and we taught 1:45:43 from one Timothy I'm trying to tell you the things we taught in those early days so that you can all know the history of our 49 years 1 Timothy chapter 3 have you read this verse I never understood it till I was baptized in the 1:45:58 Holy Spirit The Mystery of godliness verse 1 Timothy 3:16 or as the living Bible says the secret of living a Godly life it is a great secret let me paraphrase 1 Timothy 1:46:15 3:16 The Secret of living godliness is a great secret isn't that right those of you who are defeated by sin don't you realize the secret of living an overcoming life is a great secret yes the secret of being a Godly person is a 1:46:33 very great secret but the answer is here Christ came in the flesh he did not come as God he came like us and he kept himself pure in his Spirit came like us in the flesh and was 1:46:51 pure in his spirit and even and the angels watched him I'm just reading there and there was no synonym and then this is the message we proclaimed in the Nations and Jesus went up to Glory that's the way we are to follow that is 1:47:04 the secret of godliness so we discovered this is the secret of Godly of living a Godly life the secret is in Christ who came like us in flesh and this is what we began to preach and we began to practice it and 1:47:22 we also saw the same verse same teaching in Hebrews chapter 4 in verse 15 like I told you this billionaire comes and lives in a slum in India and never uses his credit card lived like others Jesus came without using his 1:47:39 powers as God lived like us and it says here verse 15 let me put it in a positive way we have a high priest who can sympathize with us here it says we we don't have a high priest who cannot which means we have a high priest who can sympathize 1:47:57 with us because he was tempted like us that's why he can sympathize with us see if you have never lived in a slum if you have not lived in poverty you will not be able to understand people who are poor you can preach theories to 1:48:15 poor people but you'll never be able to understand what they're going through and God had to bring me to Rock Bottom financially when I left the Navy 60 U 1:48:33 nearly 60 years ago I gave away all my life savings for God's work and I came out to serve the Lord with zero in my bank account brother Ian also came to zero in his account that is how we started serving the lord I'm not asking anybody 1:48:48 else to do it God made us do it and he doesn't call everyone to do it you can be a rich man and still follow the Lord but in our case God was starting something new and because he was starting something new we had to start like that 1:49:04 so we had to come to Sero and trust the Lord to provide our need and he provided our need consistently to care of us to care of our children to care of their education to care of getting them jobs and marriage and everything God is very 1:49:20 faithful and we are a giving testimony to the goodness of God both Y and myself many people don't know this we never boast about these things but I'm telling you people this is how God took care of us and we never once told people hey I 1:49:35 in need we never sent prayer letters to people saying will you support us never not even once we never took a offering from any church to support ourselves neither Ian nor myself we took care of our own needs as God provided for us in 1:49:50 different ways and and Jesus was tempted like us that's what we proclaimed the main thing is not the financial part that God provided for us that that is that itself is a miracle I'll tell you one Miracle you know once we were 6 years 1:50:10 after we met we were about 60 people and the house was getting crowded we had vacated one bedroom sitting room the porch people sitting all over in folding chairs that pulled it up after the Mee and after six years we were about 60 people and you know we 1:50:26 never took a collection but we kept an offering box there and I think in our offering box we had in six years we collected about I don't remember maybe about 30,000 rupees maybe 5,000 rupees in a year we collected because we never ask people 1:50:44 for money whatever people put we kept it and then we wanted to get a land because our church was growing and the house was getting crowded and where to find a place where we can build a hall so I said first let's get a land and 1:51:01 then my dad had bought a land in dasta square number 40 dasta square where he wanted to live but then he gave it up he said he had paid the advance of 15,000 or something and he said to me if you want you can have it for the church you 1:51:16 pay the balance so we had to pay he had paid the advance and that was a gift to us but we still had to pay some 75,000 Rupees to the owner within a certain number of months and if we had not paid it we would have lost that 1:51:35 property it was a good property it was on the main road so we said we're not going to tell people about our need we never advertise our need Ian and I know that how we prayed about it we prayed said Lord if you want us to have 1:51:51 that land you will Pro provide the money for it if you don't provide it that proves to us we don't want us to have that land and if you don't want us to have that land we don't want it either we have no choice you put us in some 1:52:05 remote place fine the advantage of that is it's on the main road we can reach more people that's up to God so with about 2 three months left for the deadline we still had only 35,000 rupees and we needed 75,000 uh many people when I tell this 1:52:22 people think I'm inventing some story it is not I still have the records written and just about I don't remember exactly a couple of months before the deadline we got a check CF CFC you got a check for what 40,000 rupees exact 1:52:42 amount we needed to complete the 75,000 sent by whom somebody I have never seen before or after I still have not seen that m somebody who knew about our ministry and sent it to CFC not in my name cfc's 1:53:02 name he had heard about it and sent it and he never sent one rupe before that and he never sent one rupee after that once in a lifetime he sent us 40,000 how did he know that we lack 40,000 rupees we never advertised 1:53:20 it now when I tell people think this is a fairy tale some of God's Miracles sound like fairy tales but it is God knows it is the absolute truth and I have the records of 1:53:37 those that letter he sent that day with me even now and I said Lord this is the proof that you want us to have that land then we needed the money to build a hall we had amazing Miracles we bought the 1:53:56 land now we had the land and now we had to trust the Lord for and little by little the offerings came in and little by little we built first one floor and after many many years we built another floor that's how we went and there was another big 1:54:13 need at that time cement was not available in the country and so then we have to go and apply in the government and they'll give us 150 bags and you finish come back again and 1:54:32 apply for it with 50 bags what we can build one pillar and so we go back for another permit the man in the office government office will say uh come back next week I'll go next week he'll say come back next week I'll go 1:54:51 next week he'll come back next week till somebody told me brother Zach you don't know what he means is give me a bride aha come back next week means give me a bribe so I said I a servant of God I don't give bribes to anybody I I'm not going to give you 1:55:11 anything I didn't tell him that I said okay I'll come back next week and we prayed and we prayed and he prayed you know what happened suddenly plenty of cement was available in the country and there was no need to get a permit we 1:55:24 could go to the shop and anybody could buy cement who did that God Did It for the sake of CFC again you'll think this is a fairy tale those who were there Ian and I know it some of the God's Miracles sound like fairy tales we could speak about miracles we 1:55:41 have experienced in our personal life family life it's a wonderful life to live by faith in God and I if you not even if you have never experienced such answers to prayer is because you don't have faith I could tell you so many stories 1:55:56 like this which sound like fairy tales to other people not only in a church but in my personal family life and everything and I'm sure Ian can tell you as well God is a good god that's our testimony he's faithful but the main 1:56:11 thing is not these Financial Miracles the main thing is God taught us to live an overcoming life little by little we grew up to Perfection like you see in the front of our Pulpit let us press on to Perfection that proved that we are 1:56:26 not perfect it also proved we are pressing on so this is how we sought to build the church in those early years and little by little then we began to have conferences and people came from different places and then little by 1:56:38 little after about uh 7 years or so God gave us the opportunity to go to tamilnad and Kerala for meetings and like that the first churches started over there that is also another miracle another story 1:56:57 but we are not talking about the expansion of CC now but CFC itself and Through the Years now the Lord has in the last 49 years the Lord has taken the word of God to we planted the Lord has planted churches in about 16 countries 1:57:17 100 churches we have about 200 to 300 elders and facilitators none of whom are paid we never take an offering there's no church anywhere in the world that has 50 churches where no offering is taken for 50 100 churches where no CH offering is taken for 50 1:57:35 years see if you can find another one like we don't boast about it we are saying we have tried to live just like Jesus taught his disciples to live we try to build a church in the basis of which Jesus taught us to build it on 1:57:50 this basis don't ask for money Jesus never asked for money Paul never asked for money people gave and Jesus sat near an off offering box somebody put a one Widow put two cents in that and others put little in so we also kept an 1:58:04 offering box and if you go to our offering boxes here you see certain warnings there have you read them he say please don't put money here if you're not born again don't put money here if you got a grudge against somebody settle 1:58:17 that first don't put money here if you got a debt and you know conditions like that you see those conditions don't put money here if you got a need in your family take care of your family need and don't give money here if you're not giving it 1:58:31 cheerfully there are four or five conditions there somebody once asked me brother Zach with all these conditions here does anybody put any money there I said we have enough money in this to give thousands of Rupees to poor widows 1:58:47 in The Villages of tamilnad and to help some of those poor people to educ at their children in colleges that's what we've been doing for 40 years because we put those conditions there only those who feel convicted put it God is a god of Miracles even 1:59:05 financially but that's not the biggest thing the biggest thing is overcoming sin this is a small thing so I just mentioned that to you so to tell you that if you trust God he'll never let you down never one of my promises that I 1:59:21 constantly teach to people is 1 Samuel 2:30 I I never get tired of teaching this all of you must know this promise it's the thing that has helped me many times in my life 1 Samuel CH 2:30 and that has been the testimony of CFC all 1:59:37 these years 1 Samuel 2:30 says in the middle of that verse the Lord says towards the end of that verse those who honor me I will honor towards the end of one Samuel 2:30 remember this don't have to remember the whole verse just these 1:59:57 words the Lord says Those Who honor me I will honor it's easy to remember this verse 1 1230 can you remember 1 1230 1 Samuel 230 1 23 0 those who honor me I will honor and you know how I claim that before God I used it personally in my 2:00:17 life I've used it personally in relation to the church I've said Lord if i h you and you don't honor me that will be the first time in 6,000 years that you broke a promise that's how I tell the Lord Lord if I honor you and you don't honor me 2:00:34 it'll be the first time in 6,000 years that you broke your promise that brings faith in my heart you think God will break his promise he said those who honor me I'll honor and in the church situation also we had so many problems then you see that church 2:00:49 got crowded so many people then we had to put upstairs and people had to sit there and they can't see the people you had to put a screen there and the numbers increased increased increased and I said Lord we need another 2:01:03 place and then the lord gave us this this is an area where it's difficult very difficult to get a plot of ground plot of land and God gave us this place you don't realize it an absolute that's another story The Miracle of where 2:01:17 you're all sitting today this plot of land it's an amazing miracle I and I I know the story of that and a few others who were involved with us at that time and interestingly if when we came here we saw this plot was called Paradise 2:01:31 Enclave we did not name it it was already the name it was almost as it was reserved for us with that name I said wonderful Lord what all things you do for us and then when we came here we had to put up a building that is another thing we had to 2:01:48 trust the Lord we never once did we ask anybody for money we never took an offering we never told our needs to anybody and God gave us enough money to build a hall and after some time the top floor because we said we are here only 2:02:01 to serve others we want people to come from other places and then we've had conferences here where we had people sitting upstairs and downstairs hundreds and hundreds of people but now after covid and all it's a little difficult to have people come 2:02:16 here with children we don't want people to get sick so we've cut down on conferences and the numbers have become so much that if we have a conference here now maybe 5,000 people will want to come we want place here to accommodate 2:02:29 them so we have to go to these different places and preach that how and like that God has opened doors in many many places I want to say another thing is we've always emphasized serving the poor see I'll tell you why in Luke 2:02:47 chapter 4 when Jesus preached the gospel it says in Luke 4 Verse 18 the first message Jesus preached in Nazareth he grew up there but he never preached in the synagogue for 30 years after 30 years it says here he came to 2:03:02 the synagogue in Nazareth verse 6 16 onwards and this was his first sermon first sermon Jesus is preaching in Nazareth after 30 years Verse 18 the spirit read carefully sometimes we miss it the spirit of the Lord is upon me the baptism of the Holy 2:03:21 Spirit to do what to preach the gospel to whom to whom to the poor aha so Jesus came to preach the gospel to the poor I said wonderful we will concentrate on 2:03:40 preaching the gospel to the poor to the poor people in Bangalore to the poor people in The Villages of Tamil NAD and that is where we have concentrated most of our churches and most of our Believers are among the poor based on 2:03:57 this verse We are following jesus' example you know when John the Baptist was in prison he sent some of his disciples to Jesus and said are you really the Messiah can you tell us it's in Matthew chap 11 turn turn turn with me to Matthew 2:04:15 11 and the day disciple the of John the Baptist was to Matthew 11:2 John heard about the works of Christ and he sent his disciples and are you the expected one and see what Jesus said to them go verse 4 and report to 2:04:34 John what you hear and see tell him what you hear and what you see what do you see the blind receive sight the lepers are cleansed deaf he the dead are raised and what is the last thing the poor people have the gospel preached to them 2:04:51 you see again the emphasis on the gospel preached to the poor the gospel preached to the poor and I looked around India in those days and even today and I found that all the great evangelists who come from your Germany and America and all where do 2:05:08 they have their big Crusades and conferences in the cities Bombay Delhi Chennai Bangalore which of these big evangelists will go to the poor villages in Tamil NAD no one Lord you said you came to preach the gospel to the poor we volunteer to take 2:05:25 the gospel to the poor and year after year every single year for 40 years I went to tut every single year for 40 years to preach the gospel there 2:05:42 and towards the end I had to go on one or two years on Zoom but I've gone there regularly beginning from 1983 and approximately 40 years not exactly and I found 2:06:02 that the Lord bore witness to it by bringing people to Christ not only bringing people to Christ the most wonderful thing he's done is that he's raised up Godly 2:06:15 leaders in tamilnad in Kerala in Andra Maharashtra Karnataka to spread this gospel God raised them up and so we now we have churches in all these states we 2:06:32 have churches in Punjab Delhi so many places little by little we did not do any Outreach God opens a door somebody hears about us and say please come here brother and we find people who are interested in having a fellowship it's 2:06:47 an absolute miracle if you hear the story we don't advertise it if you go to the CFC website if somebody who does not know about CFC goes to the CFC website he'll see he'll think CFC is only one Church in the whole world CFC Bangalore 2:07:02 you never see any other name of any other Church in the CFC website we don't advertise because we are not a denomination we don't advertise where all we have churches nobody needs to know that God Alone knows it that's enough but God has raised up these 2:07:19 churches it's amazing to see it and then we got we know we had a desire to reach the world with the gospel you shall be you know the Lord told the early disciples you shall be my Witnesses in Jerusalem Judea Samaria the uttermost 2:07:35 parts of the earth so we looked at it is the you shall be my Witnesses in Bangalore tamilnad Kerala and the uttermost parts of the earth India and the uttermost parts of the earth so we saw these things coming up in Kerala India and tamad in India and I 2:07:54 said Lord what about the uttermost parts of the earth and then you know what God did he opened up the internet the internet was opened up for CFC did you know that for our churches and because of that it is our prayer I mean other people may be using 2:08:11 it that's secondary but it was primarily raised for spreading the gospel I believe airplanes were invented to spread the gospel I believe every invention on this Earth is is for the spread of the Gospel I believe that God 2:08:24 loves I mean other people are using it okay but everything is for the spread of the gospel and so because of that you we have reached about 180 countries in the world altogether there are about 220 countries and we reached 180 countries 2:08:37 through word for the week and through our YouTube messages the gospel has gone out and gone out what did we do for it do we collect money for it do we send reports about it the only people who hear it are you we never send any 2:08:50 reports anywhere and we're not taking a collection after this meeting for the spread of the Gospel we'll never do it that will be an insult to Christ he has provided us so far and he'll provide us till the end so we thankful that we're able 2:09:07 to spread the gospel to the poor the other thing I want to say is we got rid of this titles Pastor Reverend right Reverend wrong Reverend pop all this type of stuff we got we we say we are brothers and I'll tell you 2:09:27 why Jesus said we believe in obeying Everything Jesus said I'm just telling you some of the distinctive features of CFC Matthew 23 Jesus said in verse 8 don't be called 2:09:45 Rabbi those days it was Rabbi today it is Pastor Reverend right Reverend Poe so many things don't keep the take these titles so what title should you take verse eight you are all brothers so that's why we all call 2:10:06 ourselves Brothers nobody's a reverend here nobody's a pastor I know all the churches have those titles that's okay we don't judge them they have to answer to God not to us but we decide we're going to obey you say oh that's a little 2:10:20 command let me show you Matthew 5 verse 19 Matthew 5: 19 the one who cancels the smallest commandment and teaches others oh that's 2:10:40 only the smallest don't worry he'll be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven but the one who keeps and teaches the smallest commandment he'll be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven do you know Matthew 5:19 the smallest 2:10:55 commandment sisters should Veil their heads when they pray very small commandment you go to other churches see whether they do it most churches don't do it we teach even the smallest Commandments turn back to Matthew 23 if 2:11:12 you're not happy with being called a brother the Lord says I'll give you another title some say I want one more title brother is not enough okay don't be called Rabbi don't be don't be called reverend Pastor nothing you are all 2:11:27 Brothers verse eight and another is verse 11 you can be you be can be called a servant so you got an option you can either be called a brother or a servant you can call me servant Z I'm happy oh 2:11:47 brother's welcome but no other type tell me you say oh that's a small commandment what did Jesus say he who teaches others this is a small commandment unimportant he'll be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven look at the number of churches which have all 2:12:05 these pastors of their titles I'm not here to judge them they have to answer to God what I'm trying to say is in CFC we have emphasized obedience to the smallest and the biggest Commandments to go and preach the gospel to the whole world we tried to do that 2:12:21 through the internet and teach them to obey everything I've commanded you Matthew that is a command that hardly anybody obeys Matthew 28 and it says in the last verse teach them to obey everything I have commanded 2:12:40 you Matthew 28:20 we seek to follow that what I'm trying to I'm giving you a history of what we did in 49 years in the Year of Jubilee we celebrate that God has been faithful in helping us 2:12:58 to okay another thing in the Old Testament don't worry I'll only be preaching another 3 4 hours just relax uh lunch will be there at the Holy Spirit turn with me to Ephesians 5 Ephesians five it says be filled with the Holy Spirit last part of Ephesians 5:18 Ephesians 2:14:03 5:18 be filled with the holy spirit it's a command it's not optional it is written to believers who already are born again be filled with the Holy Spirit and the meaning is be continuously filled I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit 2:14:20 every day I've been praying for that regularly for 50 years every day I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit and then the result will be we'll be singing and no no complaining we'll be always giving thanks verse 20 and then what is the one 2:14:35 of the primary marks of being filled with the Holy Spirit a good family life that's what it says verse 22 wives be subject to your husbands husbands verse 25 love your wives and chapter 6 vers one children obey your parents and 2:14:53 fathers bring up your children in the fear of the Lord what this is the result of being filled with the holy spirit so filled with the Holy Spirit is not only to reach the world with the gospel but to build a family a Godly family that's 2:15:07 why in all our conferences whenever we had conferences in Bangalore we emphasize Family Life we've had special meetings for families special meetings for young couples we want to preach the whole Council of God Jesus said keep your conscience like you 2:15:24 keep your eyes how carefully do you keep your eyes if one Speck of dust gets into your eye we want to get rid of it and Jesus said keep your conscience like that the lamp of the body is the ey you read and Jesus said that there a number of verses 2:15:40 that show that and that's what we taught that we must build a three-story building okay the found Foundation of that three-story building is you have a father in Heaven you're not an 2:15:59 orphan you must be founded on that complete Security in a Heavenly Father then the ground floor the first story the ground floor is living with a good conscience keeping our conscience like we keep our eyes always cleaned you know the number of 2:16:16 times your eyes watered clean it up clean it up hundreds of times a day that's that's how we keep our conscience the purest part of your body is your eyes and inside our conscience must be like that that's the first floor the 2:16:28 ground floor rather first story on top of that we have a second story that is your family bringing up living in as husband and wife in a Godly way loving one another forgiving one another patient with one another and bringing up all our children to be 2:16:48 Disciples of Jesus not most of our children but all of our children and on top of that is the third story or what we call the second floor that is the church building the church as a body so there is the foundation God is a father the ground 2:17:06 floor the first story a good conscience Second Story that's personal life Second Story is family life and the third story is the church life that's what we've sought to build from the beginning and that's how we've tried to 2:17:21 continue throughout these years building the church so we need to ask ourselves whether we are doing that whether we continue to do that everywhere we want to emphasize personal life Family Life Church Life and in we don't have titles 2:17:41 or anything but we have big gifts so we've also taught what it says in Ephesians 4 that Jesus has a appointed some people verse 11 Ephesians 4:11 I'm telling you a number of things that we proclaimed which are not being proclaimed by other 2:18:00 churches Jesus gave some people as Apostles some as prophets and teachers now these are not the 12 apostles those were Apostles he appointed on Earth but here it says in Ephesians 4:10 he ascended to Heaven verse 10 after ascending to 2:18:19 Heaven verse 10 he gave people a Apostles those are Apostles like Paul Barnabas and others and apostles are those who the Lord uses to plant churches and they are the ones who appoint elders and oversee the elders just like 2:18:36 Elders oversee the churches Apostles oversee the elders that's how we see in the New Testament and that's what we Proclaim but the Apostle will not call himself Apostle so and so he call him brother so and so he doesn't take a TI he's not going to be 2:18:51 Rabbi or reverent or any such title he's a brother and he's a servant just like anybody else but his function likewise in the same way in the church there are prophets who preach in a prophetic way that challenge people and there are 2:19:05 evangelists who bring people to Christ there are Shepherds or here it's called pastors it's not a title it's a Shepherd who care for people some people have a tremendous gift of counseling and shepherding and also teachers who can 2:19:17 teach God's word these are gifts and all of this is to equip verse 12 the Saints to build the body of Christ so ultimately the purpose is to build the body of Christ so there are many more things we can talk about you know and we look back and we praise God 2:19:36 and we pray that in the coming days the Lord will continue to preserve this work I also want to give a few words of warning when you read the letters to the that Paul wrote he had so many things to correct to the Corinthians so many things to correct to 2:19:56 the Galatians even in the Philippians there were two sisters quarreling you had to correct them everywhere there was something to be corrected but when you come to the Ephesians there's hardly anything to correct some of the most spiritual 2:20:11 things that Paul writes are to the Ephesians you know why because Paul himself stayed there for 3 years turn with me to Acts chapter 20 Acts chapter 20 and 2:20:37 verse 31 acts 20:31 he tells the people he called the elders in Ephesus together verse 17 he sent for Ephesus for all the elders and he called the elders and said said listen I want to tell you something for 2:20:53 3 years verse 31 I preach to you day and night that means Paul would preach early morning to those who came for the morning meeting before going to work and late at night after coming back from work maybe late in the evening 7:00 2:21:08 he'd have another meeting every day day and night for 3 years so calculate that day and night in one year is 365 into 2 days means 730 sermons and in 3 years that's 2,190 sermons or about 2 thou more than 2,000 2:21:28 sermons The Apostle preached in Ephesus he stayed there for 3 years and he was like a spiritual father and he appointed these elders but then see what he tells them verse 29 I 2:21:47 know that after I leave I've been near 3 years I'm leaving now wolves will come in you're all sheep wolves will come in and you Elders will not be able to keep the Wolves 2:22:05 outside and not only that you Elders will also start fighting among yourselves and try to grab some disciples after you thank God that has not happened in CFC in these 49 years we have not had Elders who seek their 2:22:25 own be thankful here is a church where Paul preached 2,000 sermons and still the elders were fighting with each other and trying to grab disciples after themselves and the would not could not protect the church from the 2:22:39 Wolves so dear brothers and sisters be thankful that you have Elders who have preserved the standards in CFC all these years and not allowed the wolves to come in you know what happened to these people people Paul was warning them they 2:22:55 did not take that warning let me show you the second letter to the Ephesians turn to Second Ephesians you know 1 Corinthians 2 Corinthians 1 Thessalonians 2 Thessalonians turn to second letter to the Ephesians you know where that is 2:23:14 revelation chap 2 in Revelation chap 2 you read the second letter to the Ephesians the first one you've already seen Ephesians the Lord wrote another letter to the Ephesians that is in Revelation Chapter 2 to the angel of the church and 2:23:33 messenger that means of the church Andis right what does he write to them you have left your first love verse four exactly what Paul warned them 30 years AG this is written 30 years after what we read in Acts chapter 20 Paul warned 2:23:50 them be careful you guys will not allow will not be able to keep the Wolves Away and the Wolves came in and the Lord said this is so bad that I'm going to take away the lampstand from here that means I I will I'll take over the L 2:24:08 means my witness will go away from you the presence of the Lord will not be in your church I praise the Lord that even today the presence of Christ is in CFC dear brothers and 2:24:25 sisters we need to pray for the future so the Lord will raise up Elders who will not seek their own you have a wonderful four Elders right now 2:24:42 here it may have started with Y and me but today you have four wonderful Elders who for whom Jes Jesus Christ is supreme who loved the Lord and Charles is a great leader of all of them and just as good as Ian and me what the wonderful thing that 2:25:02 encourages me is that generation after generation God raises up in 1998 I withdrew myself from eldership in this church after having been an elder for 23 years or so and then Ian was the 2:25:21 main Elder and there were others with him and now Ian also pulled out but God's given you wonderful Elders who are just as good as the elders that have been here in all these years isn't that amazing don't take it for granted don't 2:25:34 think it happens everywhere this is really a third generation of eldership that we are seeing here and God has raised up godly people be thankful for them that's what I want to see that's why I wanted to point you to this Ephesian Church situation that 2:25:50 started so well and collapsed and be thankful that has not happened in CFC and as we look towards the future we want to pray that it will never never happen that this church will become a backslid church never that it'll never compromise on the principles 2:26:09 that we have had from the beginning that we shall all walk in humility and fervent love for one another and what that what Jesus is building as a SP spiritual Jerusalem will not end up as a Babylon so God past year I've seen how the Lord has increased my joy in him and 2:41:51 in his church and the brother and sisters here especially the young Brothers have really been a blessing to me um I've received much of God's word and encouragement and also warnings uh from those who the brothers who are 2:42:03 older than me and it has helped me to follow the lord better and it's also preserved me from um pitfalls that I would have fallen into and I'm very grateful to the Lord for that the young Brothers this year have been a source of 2:42:14 fuel uh and a supply to me to love the Lord Jesus more and I'm very grateful for that and the Lord Jesus has become truly more beautiful for me every time I have fellowship with um the youth in this church and I'm really grateful to 2:42:26 the Lord for that one other last point I just want to share is that the little children that um I spend some time with have really been um a fragrance of Christ to me I'm learning to give up on bad attitudes quickly and grudges uh to 2:42:38 let them go quickly and to return to the joy of the Lord amen yeah um dear pres sisters one thing that I'm grateful for the church uh is for the wonderful Fellowship that God has given me here uh the true word of God and the time I spent in Fellowship 2:42:52 has always challenged and encouraged me to know the Lord more and to live in overcoming life and to seek God's will alone in my life it's an encouragement for me to hear from some of you on how the Lord has worked in your life that 2:43:06 has uh blessed me and built me up uh with faith this journey we are in and our one goal to become more like Christ as it says in Romans 8:29 has become more joyful and exciting because of your Fellowship Godly example and the advice 2:43:22 I have received today Jesus is more precious and dear to me than the years that went by and I believe as we continue in Fellowship I will know the Lord better each new day and be encouraged to love him and to live for him alone praising God for all this and 2:43:40 thank you dear family for all your genuine love Precious time hidden prayers and sweet Fellowship I value it immensely please continue to pray for me to be the person God wants me to be always filled with his joy and love and 2:43:55 to bring glory to God's name thank you good morning dear family firstly I deeply grateful to God for placing me in this church to be able to see and hear from some of the godliest men and women that have ever walked on Earth has been 2:44:11 a tremendous blessing uh I thank God for that the one thing that I am grateful to this church is for the number of witnesses that are present they are Shepherds after God's Own Heart who always seek to encourage and challenge me to live and follow 2:44:27 Jesus in everything their love and concern towards me is by far the best qualities they have shown towards me that I'm undeserving of and has always turned my cold heart to a heart of Flesh I have always been thought to 2:44:45 challenge uh sorry I have always been thought and challenged to keep the kingdom of God first not because everything will be added to me but that I do it out of the love for Jesus I love because he first loved me um as it says in 1 John 4: 19 I pray 2:45:01 that God gives me the grace to continue in this way amen good afternoon dear brothers and sisters um out of the many things that I am grateful to the church for I want to mention one which is for Godly examples in the church I praise God for such 2:45:16 examples whom God has placed in my life who through their lives have shown me that the Christian Life Is Not Mere words but is very much applicable applicable in my day-to-day life at home at work or wherever I may be they have 2:45:30 shown me that living as Jesus lived is not an impossible standard provided I abide in Christ and helplessly depend on the Lord to guide me every second seeking not to do my will but to do God's will alone I've been refreshed 2:45:45 with every conversation with them where they never draw attention to themselves but encourage and push me to look to the Lord and to have a closer walk with him I've seen how God has worked in them giving me a hope that God is able to do 2:46:00 the same in me as though saying what God did for Jesus he has done for me he can do for you too like the song We Sing seeing their lives and their faith I am encouraged not to give up but to press on to take hold that for that which 2:46:14 Christ Jesus Took hold of me the second half of uh Hebrews 13:7 says considering the result of their conduct imitate their faith I pray that the Lord will help me to imitate the faith that these Godly men and women have amen brothers 2:46:28 and sisters my name is Mahesh um I wanted to read a verse uh from Psalm 68:5 and six the father of the fatherless and the judge for the widows his God In His holy habitation God makes a home for the lonely he leads out prisoners into Prosperity so I am 2:46:48 grateful to the church uh because uh church has been a home to me and many young Brothers like me many young single Brothers um it is like a refugee camp that we can run to from this wicked and fers World um I 2:47:07 came quite Young when I was um to the church and in a city like Bangalore I knew nobody um I was working and I was earning so personally like a young person money in the hand nobody to look after and uh City like Bangalore I would 2:47:26 have perished in the world long back but the Lord preserved me in the church through the years I'm very very gr grateful for that um 2 Timothy 2:22 it says flee from youthful lust um I thought to myself where do I supposed to flee and very 2:47:44 practically um the church has been a place where I can literally run to know whether I am discouraged or distressed or I want to celebrate uh there is always uh brothers and fathers who could um I can go to uh and that's a great 2:48:01 place to be and that's a great privilege that all the young Brothers uh we have grateful to the church for the love care concern and prayers counseling and guiding uh thank you dear brother good afternoon dear brothers and sisters my 2:48:15 name is Suzanna um as I was singing about one specific thing that uh I am truly grateful to CFC about I was immediately reminded that the Lord in his immense goodness and love chose me and allowed me the privilege to be a 2:48:30 part of his church um I praise God for the sweet unity in the body of Christ here at CFC there are times when we can get weary and tired but there are those Saints in this church who silently and sincerely cheer us on in prayer who love 2:48:45 and correct who help us get back on our feet and clear our minds from just wallowing in ourselves but um who turn our eyes and focus on the love of Jesus our savior and how much he endured for us I'm truly encouraged um and 2:48:58 challenged to see families brothers and sisters who put others before themselves Shepherds who have poured out their lives and continue to do so friends who go through similar struggles but in their weaknesses fall before the Lord 2:49:12 and cry out to him for help and strength just like the Bible describes there are many varieties of gifts and Ministries but the same Holy Spirit and the same Lord working in each individual according to his will my hope and prayer 2:49:26 is that um we grow in Mercy and humility something that I have seen in this church and for John 17:23 to be true in each of our lives our hearts truly um overflow with joy and thankfulness to the Lord for his love and for his church 2:49:43 and we want to be imitators of Jesus and his Saints and not just SM admirers as Jesus walked on this Earth we want to earnestly and sincerely walk just like the clay in The Potter's hand we want to be in the Lord's hand we the youth and 2:49:58 teens want to sing this song your will be done as a prayer and honest cry from our hearts may the Lord work in us and through us to make such song which was sung Earth earlier uh the song is may Jesus be seen in me the chorus of the song goes like this uh so 2:54:55 Jesus deserves to be seen and Jesus deserves to be heard Jesus deserves to be magnified and lifted up over all the Earth father if this has to be then let it begin in me let your will be done in this younger son and may Jesus be seen 2:55:13 in me and let your will be done in this younger son and may Jesus be seen in me uh uh it's a wonderful promise we hear from uh brothers that uh from Mark 11:24 it's a great encouragement therefore I say to you all things for which you pray 2:55:28 and ask believe that you have received and they will be granted to you this is a great promise and when I go to God In Prayer asking Lord may Jesus be seen in this here I'm very much blessed by the words spoken by Brother Ian on Isaiah 589 then you'll call and the Lord will answer here I am 2:56:03 if you remove the Yoke from your midst and the pointing of finger and speaking wickedness brother Shar that we should remove pointing of finger from our lives and from our homes and we should choose between pointing of finger and a soft 2:56:18 tongue every day this spoke to me and God helped me to understand that in situations at home I should see my mistake and not Point finger at my husband whenever I fail words of encouragement to press on and never give up has help me God's heart is always to 2:56:37 help me and that's why he he has given me his holy spirit I believe he who began a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ amen I have great joy to be here in the church I am Isaac she is my wife Minnie we are 2:56:55 a family of five we have three children Joel Daniel and Sharon I'm thank thankful to our church because I've been encouraged by The Godly lives and testimonies of many brothers sisters and Elders there was a point in my life 2:57:14 before coming to our fellowship when I had given up all hope hope that no Christian can truly follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ I mean starting from The Sermon on the Mount it was so high that I felt only 2:57:32 Jesus and the disciples and apostles probably some Godly Elders can follow but it was never for me but thankfully after coming to church within few months of coming to the church and having fellowship with many brothers I was delighted to find 2:57:50 many not just elders but even our brothers and families who are living a life of Victory a full of joy peace righteousness and full of love a life which I had coveted for many many years praise God for that seeing their life and hearing the 2:58:09 testimonies I was greatly encouraged and My Hope was stirred up and I got faith that even I can live this Godly life too John John 1:4 in him was life and that life was light to men so thank you dear brothers sisters and 2:58:25 families your lives has given light and encouraged me it has not only encouraged me but also challenged me that even my light will shine before men that they see my life and my good deeds and glorify and bring honor to the father 2:58:44 thank you now my wife will share her testimony I'm thankful to the church for many things but I want to testify particularly about my condition before I came to the church I was a lukewarm Christian like it says in Revelation 3: 2:59:04 16 and 17 and Revelation 2: 4 to 5 I had lost the Zeal and passion for I had for Christ during my childhood and youth over the passage of time I had developed anger murmuring complaining bitterness 2:59:22 unforgiveness discouragement attitude without realizing it was sinful after connecting to CFC and hearing repeatedly messages about self-denial repentance Father's Love victory over sin humility all this help me to repent and turn to 2:59:42 the Lord my faith increased and it uplifted my spirit now I have full full confidence that my heavenly father has accepted me as his child and he loves me as much he loved Jesus all glory to the Lord and I'm grateful to the church amen 3:00:00 praise the Lord uh good afternoon dear brothers and sisters my name is Sam uh dear brothers and sisters I can testify that I have been preserved in this church one truth that the church has encouraged me is in knowing and 3:00:14 believing that it is the Lord alone who builds my home through this church and through the brothers and families I learned the importance of having a reverential fear of God One Promise regarding this truth is from Isaiah 8:12 and 13 which says if I 3:00:34 have the fear of God I fear nothing else and he is My Sanctuary in our initial days we were regular churchgoers every Sunday we would come in and listen to the word and leave immediately afterwards it was at this time when I 3:00:52 went through a tough situation at work that fellowship with Godly Brothers encouraged me to get my priorities right with my heavenly father two promises that I heard here in this church and I have since held on to 3:01:07 uh Hebrews 12: 27 that says the Lord will remove all those things which can be shaken so that that which is unshaken aable will remain and the other is to glory in what the Lord has done for me and not in what I do for the Lord I 3:01:26 praise and thank the Lord for what he's done in my life in my family and through this church I pray that the Lord will help me to continue to grow in having a pure and simple devotion towards him amen uh praise the Lord my name is Julia 3:01:45 uh I'm thankful to the Lord and the elders here for this opportunity to share What the Lord Has Done in my life and in our life as a family the Lord brought us to CFC when we were just a few months into our married life uh from 3:01:59 the first Sunday that we came the word of God that we heard and we received here from this Pulpit helped us to grow in our personal relationship with the Lord and also in my relationship with my husband we have received much help and 3:02:13 practical guidance for a Godly living and and it has also helped me to take my Christian Life seriously and to trust in my loving heavenly father to help me in my time of need rather than depending on confess My Hope in God's word and as we read in Philippians 1:6 I believe that the Lord who started a good work in in each one 3:03:01 of our lives and in mine will carry it on to completion until the
