Summary
The foundation of all ministry in the church must be love, as demonstrated by the warning in 1 Corinthians 13 that gifts without love are nothing. True Christian love, which is supernatural and divine, is required to be a fully functioning member of the church. This love should not be based on natural affinity but on the shared Spirit, which constitutes our 'spiritual flesh and blood.'
