But I believe that every one of you came here looking for something more than that. We've received the rich teaching of the word. We'll continue to receive it today, and God's been faithful. 34:40 But it's something precious about being together with God's people. Jesus said where two or three are gathered in my name. There I am in their midst. And by that two, I believe he meant more than the numbers. It was the spirit of two being willing to be made one. 35:01 Two or three. That meant that two very different people. Two very different families. Two very different cultures. Or three, or I don't know how many cultures are represented here. I think quite a few different countries, even though we mostly are from the U.S. and Canada. 35:20 Many of us have come from different backgrounds. And it's that many, many different cultures, many different preferences, and tastes, and all the other quirks that come with being who we are. That God says, when I see you coming together, that you don't want to just sit by yourself with your cozy little family, 35:42 in your cozy little home, on your cozy little couch, watching something on the screen. But you're willing to come and spend, and be spent, and use your vacation days for something like this. That God says, I'll come and see the sacrifice that you're making, and I'll be in your midst. 35:59 And he has been in our midst. Praise the Lord for that. I've certainly been blessed by our fellowship, dear family. You all are family in Christ for us. Some of you I've met for the first time, others familiar faces. We're seeing after a long time. 36:14 Thank you for coming. So tomorrow is as much a part of the conference, even though logistically our decision to have no formal meeting tomorrow was partly driven by logistical circumstances. We believe the Lord has led us in that. 36:29 We prayed about it. And so I encourage you all to take tomorrow seriously. I hope you believe that the Lord is going to be with us in the park, as he has been with us even here. I believe it. So we're thankful to the Lord. And let's pray for, if you think about it, pray for this group that meets here, Emmanuel Lutheran Church. I want to give you a little testimony that some years when I first came to this place, 42:23 to the group of people that was meeting at the church building that we are normally at, they used to pass an offering plate. And again, at that time they didn't believe in the principles that we believed in. And we were quite significantly in depth with regard to the building that we are in, 42:42 there in downtown Loveland. And then we decided that we were going to implement biblical practices. After I became an elder, I talked with my fellow elder and said, "Let's do it the biblical way. CFC has set us a wonderful example in a poor country like India." 42:56 And we stopped passing the plate, put a box in the back, and it was amazing. I don't see the finances. As an elder, I stay out of that. We have a treasurer. But our treasurers over the years have given us updates. And it was amazing to see how the giving just increased. 43:13 We don't know where it came from. But it multiplied. And if I'm doing the math correctly, I think in four or five years, God gave us the means to pay off that building completely. It's almost unheard of that a small church like us, we were very small in numbers, never asked for money after that. 43:31 And the debt just continued to increase until we start passing the plate. And God provided our needs. And I share that just as a testimony to say that when you follow God's principles, when you put God first and you seek His kingdom and His righteousness and say, 43:47 "Lord, we're going to be righteous in the matter of money. We're never going to beg. We're never going to ask anybody or let our needs known as we have seen in the example and the teachings from CFC." We believe that you will provide all our needs. 43:58 And He has. So we have our needs well met. Dear brothers, dear sisters, many and children, many of you have spent a lot of money to come here. So please don't feel obliged to give us anything. If you have needs in your home, I know many of you have taken much sacrifice financially and in time. 44:16 Some of you told me that this was your vacation. Praise the Lord. What a heritage to pass on to your children. And I tell you, I remind our local church often that it could very well be that one day in eternity, you all who have traveled from far away will be further in the kingdom of heaven 44:34 because you valued this more than those of us who have it every week and take it for granted and have complaints about things in the church. May it never be. So at RLCF, we want to learn from your example that those of you that have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars to come here. 44:52 And for us, it's just the gas money to travel five or six miles that we don't miss out in eternity because we took for granted what God had given us. Many who are first will be last. Many who are last will be first. So don't be discouraged if you're in a place where you don't have what we have at RLCF. 45:09 Seek God's kingdom. Seek to be first in heaven. You seek Jesus Christ above all and you can be first in heaven. So may that be so in our lives, in all of our lives, local church or visitors. But if you would like to still give, that box will still be there until we dismantle the table. 45:28 We don't like electronic giving. It's just we want it to be difficult to give because we want it to be cheerful. That's why we have conditions. And we want to make sure that you're really giving cheerfully. The children really had fun being out in the heat. But there's a group of people who really made some sacrifices to be in the heat longer than anybody else. 46:39 And that is our volunteers. We asked for volunteers 16 and older until the age of 25 or so. I think some others who were above that age chose to be in the marriage meeting because they want to be married. But others who also want to be married chose to be outside and help the youth. 46:54 Now, I'm not making a judgment on either group. But they really sacrificed and that really made the event such a success. Children, did you have fun outside? That much fun? Tell me again, how much fun? Okay. So, thank you for that. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your presence. Lord, we never want to take that for granted. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit, Lord, in our midst. 48:13 That also we don't want to take for granted, Lord. Who are we? Who are we? Mere flesh, mere mortals, sinners whom you have ransomed and cleansed. But who are we, Lord, that you would make such a sacrifice to come and live on this earth and live in a sinful world and live in the likeness of sinful flesh to be tempted, something God could never experience. 48:40 And yet, Lord Jesus, you came, were tempted and suffered, humbled yourself as a servant and as a criminal and suffered even death, something you as God didn't even know. Lord, I pray that we'll never lose sight of that. 48:57 Who are we that you would choose to do that? And on top of that, who are we that you would choose to allow your Holy Spirit to dwell in us? Thank you, Lord. May we always value that and treasure it. Who are we that you would choose to bring us here, of all the millions of people in the United States and Canada and elsewhere in the world, that you would choose to bring us to this place to be blessed as we have been? 49:20 We don't deserve it, Lord, but we simply want to say thank you. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Heavenly Father, and thank you, Holy Spirit, for coming and dwelling within us and that you've committed to finishing the work that you've started in us. 49:33 You will remain with us until that work is complete. We believe it. So, Lord, come even now, O Holy Spirit, unplug our ears, ears that have become dull of hearing, perhaps. I pray that you'll open the ears of our hearts to hear what you, the Spirit, are saying to the church. 49:50 Perhaps this is one last warning that we'll receive tonight in this last meeting, Lord. One last warning. If we won't turn from sin and our selfishness and our love of these things of this world, we may not get another one. 50:02 Lord, I pray that we won't turn away from it, that our ears won't be dull of hearing, that there will be a sensitivity in our ears and a sensitivity in our conscience, a reverence for you, an attentiveness to your word, that we won't be distracted from what we're going to hear, Lord. 50:18 And that your Spirit will have freedom. If you want to speak to us for three hours, let it be. If you want us to stay here longer, to plead with you for your Holy Spirit to fall upon us and fill us, let it be, Lord. We have no timeline. 50:30 But we long for your Spirit. We long to be changed. We don't want to leave this place the way we came in this morning, Lord. That's the cry of our heart. And like those 120 people who gathered on the day of Pentecost, will you send your Holy Spirit even now? 50:44 Thank you, Lord. You want to anoint our children as well? I pray that the young people and children will be gripped by what they've heard, Lord. That you will lay a hold of their hearts. If there's somebody in this room that doesn't know you yet, that they haven't yielded their heart to you in some way, Lord. 50:59 Will you lay a hold of their heart tonight? I believe your Spirit is moving already, Lord. And you're going to move even more through the preaching of your word. Not an emotional stirring. Not to just listen to some message, Lord, but that your Spirit will stir our hearts. 51:53 I believe you'll do that. Thank you. Thank you. Praise you, Lord. I give you thanks with all of my heart because you're going to answer what we have asked for. We've agreed. And you said if two of us agree in your name, you will do it. 52:06 Hallelujah. Praise you, Lord Jesus. Thank you. Anoint Dad with a prophetic word, Lord. Touch his lips. Touch his body. Set his tongue on fire with a fire from heaven as you have all these days, all these years, Lord. We believe you will give him the anointing that he needs beyond his human ability. 52:24 Thank you, Lord. You are the God who provides. The God who provides all our needs. Thank you, Father. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, first of all, thank you all for your patience in listening to me all these days. 53:22 I'm sure you discovered it requires a lot more patience to listen to me than the average preacher who preaches 20 minutes on a Sunday morning. I don't know whether I ever preached for 20 minutes. And Jesus poured out his heart to people. 53:47 He didn't just prepare sermons to preach to people. He loved people so much that he wanted them to have the best. And he waited on the Lord, spent hours waiting on his father to hear what the father wanted to say. 54:10 And then went out with a heart that was full and burdened and spoke. In the Old Testament, you read about prophets who say the burden of the Lord. Very rarely I hear preachers like that who speak with a burden in their heart. 54:30 It's like the old time prophets who had a burden. And until they unloaded that burden, they'd continue. Many of them were persecuted, misunderstood, killed. But they are the ones who did God's work and built up his kingdom. 54:49 And it's the same today. And it's been wonderful to experience that in many places in India. Irrespective of language or education, we have churches in many languages in India. And we have very rich people in our church, very few of them. 55:11 But multitudes, thousands and thousands of very poor people. Who, some of them, many of them don't have a bank account. Very poor people who very often live by working in the fields. So their work is very often during the sowing time when they are employed. 55:31 And then the reaping time. And again they are employed. And in between they have to live with what they get. And they don't have any complaints. We teach them to live without debt. To be thankful and to live simply. And it's been a tremendous blessing for me and my wife 55:52 as I've gone and met these simple people. I always look forward to them. I want to share with you today from Genesis Church. Genesis chapter 4 to begin. Genesis chapter 3 is the chapter of man's fall into sin. 56:12 And how he was, the last verse of Genesis 3 says, Genesis 3:24, God drove out the man from the Garden of Eden. And put a cherub in there to prevent anybody from coming inside. The door was shut. 56:32 And what's the next thing we read? We read about Adam and Eve have two children. Cain and Abel. And that's the very first thing we read. The first event that happened in the history of this world. After Adam and Eve were thrown out of Eden. 56:53 Very interesting story that you must pay attention to because it is the first story written of what happened on this earth after our forefather Adam and his wife Eve were put out of Eden. And there's a reason why this story is kept here. 57:17 It speaks about Cain and Abel, two sons of Adam and Eve, who were taught by Adam and Eve that we must show our gratitude to God by giving him an offering, which is called a Thanksgiving offering. Not a sacrificial offering where you shed blood, but a Thanksgiving offering. 57:41 There are different offerings in the book of Leviticus. Thanksgiving offering did not need any blood in it. It could be grain. It could be sheep. It could be anything. It depends on what you're working with. If you're a farmer, you bring grain. 57:54 If you're a shepherd, you bring sheep. It's a Thanksgiving offering. So here Cain and Abel came with a Thanksgiving offering, not a sin offering. And a lot of people have misunderstood this story. That's why I want to clarify it to many of you. 58:10 You've all read the story of Cain and Abel. What are the lessons you have learned from it? What I heard for many years as a young Christian was completely wrong. They said that Cain was a tiller of the ground and he brought something, some grain from his field. 58:26 Abel was a keeper of the sheep, of flocks, and he brought a sheep. And they said that Abel's offering was accepted because he killed a sheep and blood was shed. But this was not a sin offering. This was a Thanksgiving offering. 58:42 And a Thanksgiving offering, even in Leviticus it says, you don't need to shed blood. You could bring grain. You could bring anything. You read Leviticus, I don't have time to show it to you. But notice the two types of offering they gave. 58:54 We also come with the Lord, come to the Lord. We don't have to bring a sin offering that is already given, completed by our Savior Jesus on the cross. But we do have to come with a Thanksgiving offering. We come regularly to God with a Thanksgiving offering. 59:11 And that's not just in words. Words are cheap and easy. It's with our life. That's what I want you to learn today. Because if you learn this secret, it will change your life like it changed mine. And this is why this is the first story mentioned in the history of the human race, which began here. 59:34 Because this is where human history began outside the Garden of Eden. Genesis chapter 4. So read here. Cain, it came to pass in verse 3. Cain brought an offering to the fruit of the ground. And Abel brought from the firstlings of his flock. 59:50 Because that's what they were working with. Abel was a shepherd. Cain was a tiller of the ground. They brought from their profession what it was. But notice this difference. It says here that the last part of verse 4. The Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering. 1:00:11 Do you know what that means? It means a fire from heaven came and fell upon Abel's offering. That's the meaning of the Lord had regard for his offering. That's the way the Lord approved of offerings in many places in the Old Testament. 1:00:26 But for Cain and his offering, he had no regard. The fire did not fall. That is how they knew which offering God accepted. It was not by a voice from heaven. Here was Cain offering. Picture this in your mind. Cain, Abel offering his sheep, cutting it and offering it. 1:00:45 Abel offering his grain. And how do they know which one God accepted? There was only one way. On which offering did the fire fall from heaven? On Abel's offering. The Lord had regard for his offering. And Cain saw that. 1:01:06 And he saw that no fire fell on his offering. And throughout church history, there have been these two types of offerings. And people with these two types of offerings have produced two different types of churches. You must listen carefully today. 1:01:27 The church on which the fire fell is called Jerusalem. And the church, it is a church on which no fire fell. It's called Babylon. It's another church. And both these, these are symbolic names. These types of churches are in the world today. 1:01:50 Churches of the Jerusalem style are very, very few. Very small in number. The churches of the Babylonian style are numerous. And have 10,000 members, many of them. People are impressed by the size. Abel, Cain's offering was a huge pile of grain. 1:02:13 Cain's offering, Abel's was a small little lamb. Okay. And Cain saw that his offering was not accepted. And Cain was very angry, verse 5. Immediately, he could see fire falling and jealousy. 1:02:35 Why has God accepted his offering and not mine? And he got so jealous, his face fell. And the Lord said to Cain in verse 6. Why are you angry? Why is your face fallen? If you do well, your face will be lifted up. 1:02:59 But if you don't do well, sin is crouching at the door even now. The Lord warned him. Because of this jealousy with your brother, there's a terrible sin crouching at the door of your heart. And his desire, the sin's desire is to master you. 1:03:18 To get inside the door and master you. But you must master it. Do you know the first place in the Bible where we read the word, you must conquer sin, is here. It's not in the New Testament. As soon as man went out of the Garden of Eden, God's first message is, 1:03:43 Sin is desiring to conquer you, the last part of verse 7. But you must conquer sin. It's not in Romans 6:14, sin shall not have dominion over you. It's in Genesis chapter 4, verse 7. You must conquer sin. That is God's message to man right from the beginning of human history. 1:04:05 As soon as man fell, that's his message. I hope you hear it. I'll tell you why. Because the vast majority of Christians have not heard it. To the vast majority of Christians, the message is, your sin must be forgiven. Go to God. 1:04:22 Jesus shed his blood. Sin as much as you like. You will always be a sinner. You will never conquer sin. You will always fight with people. You will always be jealous of others. You will always seek your own. You will always live for yourself. 1:04:36 You will seek your own. You will never conquer sin. But the message of the Lord is, you must conquer it. Right from the very first place when man fell. Please don't forget that. And what is the result? 1:04:56 Cain did not listen. And it says, in verse 8. When they were alone, Cain rose up and took a rock and hit Abel on the head and killed him. And the Lord said to Cain in verse 9. Where is Abel, your brother? Didn't God know? 1:05:18 Why was God asking Cain? Because God wants a man to confess his sin. I want to tell you something, brothers and sisters. God knows everything about every sin in your life. Every single sin. Your wrong attitudes towards him. 1:05:33 Your shallow Christianity. Your half-heartedness. Your compromise. And your pretending to be so holy when you are a downright hypocrite. God sees it all. And He wants you to acknowledge it. He wanted Cain to acknowledge his sin. 1:05:52 Where is Abel, your brother? And can you imagine Cain's reply? Verse 9. I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper? Of course you are. You are your brother's keeper. I hope all of you realize that. If you have a brother near you, you are supposed to help him. 1:06:15 To come close to God. And God says, what are you trying to bluff me for? What have you done? Your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. Do you know that when you harm a brother in any way, the harm that you have done to that person, 1:06:36 whether by backbiting against him, speaking evil, doing any harm, that has a voice that goes up to heaven. Take revenge on that person who has done this harm to me. It's not the man speaking. It's his blood. The blood is crying out to God from the ground, 1:06:58 saying, somebody shed me here, this blood. Take revenge on him, God. It says the voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. Verse 10. Shouting out. Imagine blood shouting out to heaven. 1:07:20 Take revenge on the one who shed this blood here. And God says, God takes action immediately. God takes action. You know, when you shed, today we don't shed blood physically, it's by backbiting and speaking evil of others. 1:07:36 We shed our brother's blood symbolically. And that cries out to God. And God takes action immediately. Not by sending them to hell. Cain did not go to hell. Cain lived for many years after that. He had a family, children, grandchildren. 1:07:59 But, he was cursed. From that moment, he was cursed. There are many people today on earth, they haven't gone to hell yet. They've done wrong to others, to their fellow believers. God has, God has heard the cry of the evil that, every evil, I want to tell you something. 1:08:19 Every evil that you have done to somebody else, has got a voice. That's crying out to God. Take revenge. This person has spoken against me. This person has done this harm to me. There are so many voices going up to heaven. 1:08:37 The record kept of it all. And there's a day coming, when God will take, avenge every one of those voices. Because they are crying out to God. Take revenge. The harm that is done to me. You believe that blood lying on the ground has got a voice? 1:08:55 It has. Your blood is crying to me, verse 10. Crying to me from the ground. We don't hear that voice. Because we think it's just blood lying there. But God hears it. How did it come there? One man was jealous of his brother and stabbed him to death. 1:09:16 Today it's not with knives that we stab others. It's with words. With words we stab others and hurt them. Do things against them. Because we are jealous of them. Because we don't like them. People preach against, speak against Christian preachers. 1:09:35 There are numerous people around the world who have spoken against me. You go to the internet, you'll find it. People are wishing that I were dead. On the internet. It's humorous when I read it. I read one man who said in the internet that, 1:09:52 I wish Zach Poonin would fall on the ground and break his head and die. Go to the internet, you'll find it. There are many others like that. I love them. When I read that, I said, Lord have mercy on that poor man. He's ignorant, he doesn't know what he's speaking. 1:10:06 Forgive him. I'm just mentioning to you that anyone, it's not just me, anyone who truly serves the Lord. They call Jesus the prince of devils. Can you imagine? The purest, holiest, most loving human being that ever walked on this earth. 1:10:24 They called him the prince of devils. Because they were jealous. All this evil that's speaking against godly men is because of jealousy. Why was Cain so angry with Abel? Jealousy. God is accepting that man. God is blessing that man. 1:10:40 He's not blessing me. Jealousy. Makes me want to tear down his reputation and speak evil of him. My brothers and sisters, see if that is there in your life. See if it is there in your life. Jealousy of someone who's blessed more than you. 1:10:58 Whom God is approving of more than you. And you think you're pleasing to God, you're not. The jealousy shows how far away from God you are. And then we can ask, and he punished him. The Lord said to Cain, you will be a wanderer and a vagrant. 1:11:19 Verse 12, all your life. Now, we can ask this question. What was it that made the difference? This is what I want to emphasize. Why did God accept Abel's offering? Why did the fire fall on that and not accept Cain's offering? 1:11:38 Have you ever thought of that? When you read the scriptures, the Bible says in Psalm 1, not blessed is the man who reads the word of God every day, no. But blessed is the man who meditates on the law of the Lord. I want you to see that verse. 1:11:59 Please turn with me to Psalm 1. It's a beautiful verse which I have obeyed, practiced for more than 60 years. I mean the truth. I'm saying that before God. I've obeyed and practiced that verse for more than 60 years. Psalm 1. 1:12:20 How blessed is the man who does not walk according to the advice of evil people, or mix around with sinners, nor sit in the people who make fun of God's things. 1:12:41 Listen to this. He does not walk according to the advice of evil people. He does not stand in the path of sinful people. He does not sit in the seat of those who make fun. His delight is in God's word. And in his word, in God's word, he meditates day and night. 1:13:03 He doesn't say he reads it day and night. You can't read something for 24 hours. Maybe he reads it only for 15 minutes a day. But once he reads something for 15 minutes a day, he keeps it in his head. And while he's doing his work, while that woman is cooking food in the kitchen, 1:13:19 he's meditating. Just like, you know, you finish your breakfast in 10 minutes, but it's being digested, digested, digested for hours inside your system. And then you go and eat lunch in another 20 minutes, and it's being digested and digested for hours and hours. 1:13:35 That's meditation. So, you receive God's word into your mouth, into your mind. If you don't meditate on it, it's like food that you eat that's not being digested. You'll vomit it out, or it'll go out some other way, and it will do you no good. 1:13:52 You read the word of God every day, it'll do you no good, because the food is not being digested. Any doctor will tell you that. If you don't digest your food, it might as well not eat it. It's as good as not eating it. 1:14:04 In fact, it's worse than not eating it. If you eat it and it's not digested, it's going to cause problems inside your body. Any medical person will tell you that. And you read God's word and you don't meditate on it, you're going to have a greater judgment, because you read it. 1:14:20 Blessed is the man who meditates day and night on verse 2. I took this seriously. And because the result is, here's the result. He will be like a tree. My life will be like a tree firmly planted by the streams of the Holy Spirit. 1:14:43 The water is always a picture of the Holy Spirit. And I will always bring forth fruit. Wherever I go, there will be fruit in my life. And my life will never look withered. Always my Christianity will be fresh and bright. 1:15:02 Morning, noon and night. Anytime. However old you may be. And here's the best part of it. Whatever he touches will prosper. Whatever he does will prosper. Every message he preaches will go home in the power of the Holy Spirit. 1:15:22 Whatever he preaches, whatever he does will prosper. Don't you want such a life? I want it. What is the solution? Don't walk, verse 1, according to the counsel of ungodly people. Compromising Christians. Don't stand in the midst of people who are sinners. 1:15:46 I tell people, don't stand in the cinema queue, collecting tickets to watch a cinema. Or a movie. Don't stand in that path. Don't sit in the seat of scoffers who sit there. There are people who sit in a meeting, and all they do is to try to find some fault with the preacher. 1:16:04 Some fault with the preacher. I was down in one town in California, and after a message, somebody came to me and spoke to me about some Greek word. I said, listen, I have no time for that. You go and deal with that yourself. 1:16:24 Did you hear what God spoke to you today? Obey that. That's more important than trying to impress me with all your knowledge of Greek. I'm not interested. I have no time for that. There are others who responded to that same word and were tremendously blessed. 1:16:41 Whatever you do, my dear brothers and sisters, do you want a life where whatever you do will prosper? When I left the Navy, I told you I gave away all my wealth for God's work, and I left with zero in my pocket and my bank account. 1:17:01 And then, I don't want to go into all the details, I got a little bit of money from my dad. And I said, Lord, I've got to use this money carefully, so that my wife and I can live on it. We don't want to live very simply. 1:17:15 We don't want to live in style. We are willing to live simply. And we lived 40 years. I never had a car in my life. I rode a little two-wheel scooter. And 40 years, I rode a scooter in India. We lived simply. My wife and four children, if we had to go somewhere, we'd do two or three trips on the scooter. 1:17:36 And we were very happy. And I said, Lord, the main thing is, we want to glorify you in our life. Even with little. Our leaf must not wither. And whatever we do must prosper spiritually. I'm not interested in becoming a millionaire or anything. 1:17:59 I just want to earn enough to take care of my family. And so I took that little that I got from my dad and I said, Lord, how can I use this in a way that I don't depend on anybody and I can invest this in some way that it'll help me. 1:18:12 And with that little that I got, we have survived as a family for 50 years and more. God's good. Whatever he does will prosper. 1:18:33 It's not made me a billionaire or a trillionaire. That's not what I'm interested in. To me, prosper means I get enough for my food and shelter and take care of my children and educate them. That's the earthly level. Ministry. 1:18:47 That's what I was thinking of. Wherever I have gone, God has blessed and given me the right word and encouraged people, changed people's lives, and brought people closer to the Lord, built little groups and formed churches. 1:19:01 To me, that is the definition of whatever he does will prosper. How can he do that for you? And it's not only for me. God's given me some wonderful co-workers here in North America, in England, in India, in Australia, in Singapore, in Dubai, in Bahrain, in different places of the world, in Canada. 1:19:25 And they are carrying on that work and say, God's prosper. I didn't do it. God did it. I want to say to you, if you don't, if you don't walk in the counsel of the wicked, don't stand in the path of sinners, and don't sit in the seat of scoffers who sit and criticize every message they hear, but delight in the law of the Lord, 1:19:52 you will also be, you will also live a life, believe me, you, weak, unknown, person like you. Whatever you do will prosper. And you will look back over your life ten years from now and say, how did this happen? See what God did with your life. 1:20:11 Take seriously what you have heard these past couple of days. It doesn't matter if you are a sister. God can use sisters to do miracles, to do wonders. God has used some amazing ladies in different parts of the world to build his church. 1:20:27 It's not only men. It's amazing what God has done in Africa and India through women who gave themselves completely to God and established churches. So what was the secret? Let's turn back to Genesis 4. There's a very important lesson in this very first event mentioned that happened on this earth. 1:20:52 What is the first event that happened on this earth after Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden? Here it is. Here it is. Here it is. I'm speaking about the very first event that happened on this earth after man was thrown out of Eden. 1:21:07 They brought an offering. Notice that. Read the Bible carefully. Listen. Abel and Cain. What did Cain bring? Please read carefully. Verse 3. 1:21:27 middle of verse 3. Cain brought an offering. A-N. Cain brought an offering. That's the only way it's described. Compare that to Abel. Abel brought the best of his flock and their fat portion. 1:21:48 Firstlings means the very best. One man brought an offering. The other person brought the very best that he had. That was a result of sacrifice. To give the very best involves sacrifice. To just give an offering involves no sacrifice. 1:22:09 That is the point I want you to notice here in the first event described in the Bible in the human race. They brought offerings to God. For one person it involved a tremendous sacrifice. To the other person it involved nothing. 1:22:26 And the fire fell on the person who offered with the sacrifice. It's the same I have seen in every part of the world I've traveled. God has given me the grace to travel to many countries of the world. And see people from all types of races. 1:22:43 And I've seen one thing. It is the fire falls where people offer a sacrificial offering. But that will just cost them something. And where people come and give an offering. And I'm not talking about money. Not at all. I'm talking about a life. 1:23:02 Those who offer their life sacrificially to God. And their time sacrificially to God. And others who just give, okay, little time on Sunday. I'll go, I have to, an obligation. I have to go to church for an hour. Or we give their life like that. 1:23:17 Just minimum. What's the minimum I have to give to God? Let me put it like that. Then you'll understand it. Cain's offering was, oh God, I have to give an offering. Okay, what is the minimum I have to give? Let me give it. 1:23:30 Abel's attitude was, such a wonderful God. What is the maximum I can give to him? These are the two different offerings described here. One who says, what is the maximum I can give to this wonderful God? And the fire falls on that. 1:23:46 And the other says, what is the minimum I have to give to keep God happy? And God mocks him. And I want to say, people sitting here are of these two types. I'm not a prophet, but I know. Because I know enough of people having dealt with people for more than 67 years in Christian ministry. 1:24:13 I know people. And I know there are these two types of people. And I see the descendants of Cain and the descendants of Abel today. In every nation. And those who offer with sacrifice, the fire falls on their life. And the others who just argue about words and language. 1:24:35 And don't offer anything. Except give just an offering. They remain useless and good for nothing. Just people who warm the seats on Sunday morning. You know people who warm the seats on Sunday morning. Just sit there, warm the seat. 1:24:51 And after one hour go home. There are others who sacrifice. Willing to do anything. Serve the Lord in any way. Not just to preach. I remember when we had our first building in Bangalore. Church building. After we had been gathering for a few years. 1:25:11 And we had appointed people to clean the place. We once a week come to clean the place. Different people were appointed to do their duties. And the brother who was appointed to clean the toilets hadn't come. Well, we assumed that maybe he had an urgent appointment or a flat tire or something like that. 1:25:31 And the Lord said to me, what are you waiting for? You go and clean the toilet. I said, sure. And the Lord said to me, don't you clean the toilets in your own house? This church is your house. Go and clean the toilets. And I went immediately and cleaned the toilets. 1:25:48 And I learned something that day. And that's what I preached in our church. To become a member of CFC, number one qualification, you have to come and clean the toilets. If you're not willing to come and clean the toilets, you cannot be a member of CFC. 1:26:03 If you think you're too proud to do something like that, you want to serve on the table, aha! You don't want to clean the toilets, you can't be a member of our church, sorry. We followed that rule from day one. There are different membership rules in different churches. 1:26:19 Some say you must give so much money to be a member of our church. Here you have to give no money. But you've got to come and clean the toilets. I don't know if there's any church in the world that makes that requirement. 1:26:29 That's what we teach. Your service to God must humble your pride. You who think you're such an important person. You've got to be humbled. You've got to offer to God that which costs you something. That which breaks your pride. 1:26:44 Which smashes your opinion that you're such an important person. Let me show you a little story. When God... When God was once... Judging... David. 1:27:05 Because he did something wrong. And the result was... It's in 2 Samuel 24. 2 Samuel chapter 24. And God punished him. And God punished him. And a lot of people were punished. And the judgment was going to spread to others. 1:27:27 And immediately... And he prayed to God. And God said, "Okay. I'll stop it." And this is what he told him in 2 Samuel 24. Go... 2 Samuel 24 verse 18. Go... And erect an altar to the Lord. An offering. Give an offering... 1:27:48 In the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. 2 Samuel 24 verse 18. Remember now the offering that Cain and Abel gave. You see a connection here. Go and... An offering there. In that particular place. David went. And Araunah... 1:28:06 Whose property that was. He was a servant of David. He said, "Oh... Oh master, king. Whatever you come for." He bowed down. And David said, "I've come to buy your threshing floor. Because I have to make an offering here. 1:28:18 The Lord told me to make an offering in your threshing floor. And I will buy the bullocks and everything for the offering." And Araunah said, "Oh no. Oh no. It's my king. You don't have to buy anything. I'm your servant. 1:28:32 Please take this land freely. Take the oxen freely. Even the yoke of the oxen. You can cut it and use it for firewood. Everything I'll give you freely." How many people are there who will reject something when it's offered freely? 1:28:52 And I've seen that in book stalls. This is free. Ah, that disappears very quickly. Books that are offered free. But books that cost a little? Oh, I'm going to pray about it. And that's man. Man's always wanting to get something free. 1:29:11 But not King David. No, he wouldn't take anything free. He said, "I will surely buy it," verse 24. "I'll pay you the full price for the land, for the oxen and everything." And listen to the statement. Very important statement. 1:29:31 This is the statement that changed my life in 1973. How many years ago was that? 1973. "I will not offer to the Lord that which costs me nothing." When I meditated on that and I read this way back in 1973, 1:29:52 the Lord said to me something. I was still in the Navy. The Lord said to me, "You must never in your life offer me that which costs you nothing." Then I understood why the fire fell on Abel's offering and did not fall on Cain's offering. 1:30:15 Why God accepted David in spite of all the blunders and mistakes that David made. David made so many blunders and mistakes. You know some of them. But there was one good quality about him. When he offered something to the Lord, 1:30:32 he offered the very best. He would not offer to God that which cost him nothing. In a world full of people who want to offer to God that was just cheap, which cost them nothing. And the Lord said to me so clearly from that day, 1:30:49 "Never offered to me that which costs you nothing." And I decided that day, and I've tried to keep that word till today, everything, every message I preach, it must cost me something. It must cost me time, energy, loss of sleep, 1:31:10 and everything. And my mind has to be stirred up. I have to wait on the Lord. It must cost me something. Otherwise, there will be no fire on that message. It will be like Cain's offering. It didn't cost me anything. I wanted to offer something cheap to God. 1:31:30 I want the fire of God to fall every single time I preach. Not once in a while. Every single time I preach, I say, "Lord, if the fire is not there, I've been a failure." I don't want people to just nod their heads and go home. 1:31:47 It doesn't bother me. It doesn't interest me. I don't want people to come up and shake my hand and say, "Oh, brother, that was a good message." Did it change their lives? Did it stir them up? Did it show them their sin? 1:32:02 It doesn't matter if they got irritated with me. A lot of people got irritated with me when they hear my message. That's fine. That shows the fire of hell. Good. And then the Lord showed me the place where the first temple was built. 1:32:22 The church that we built today, the church is invisible. No building of what we call churches and all is not the real church. The church is people. A lot of people come together. That's what the New Testament calls a church. 1:32:35 Nowhere in the New Testament is a building called a church. Unfortunately, today we call buildings churches. In God's eyes, no building is a church. Church is people. The church in Ephesus was people. The church was not a building. 1:32:48 The church in Thyatira was a people. The church in Philadelphia were people. The church in Galatians or Corinth were people. The church in Rome were people. And in every place, the church is not a building. The church is people. 1:33:05 What type of people? Who have offered that which cost them something. And I'll show you that. The temple in the Old Testament is a picture of today's church. The temple that Solomon built. Fantastic temple. It's one of the most magnificent buildings of that time. 1:33:24 And it was a picture of the church that Jesus was going to build. And I want you to see in 2nd Chronicles chapter 3 where Solomon built that temple. 2nd Chronicles chapter 3. We read: 1:33:45 Then Solomon began to build. God told Solomon exactly where to build that temple. He couldn't build it anywhere he liked. It had to be in Jerusalem, but in a particular place in Jerusalem. That's the exact spot. And you know, if you read the news, you find there's a big conflict today in that very spot. 1:34:06 Because that is the spot where the Muslims came and destroyed that temple one day and built a mosque. And that is a sacred place which God had chosen to build his temple. And the Muslims destroyed that and built their mosque there. 1:34:25 And that's why there's a big conflict that between the Jews and the Muslims in Jerusalem over that spot. Where the mosque is there. And that's why you sometimes find Israelites going in there and offering prayers in that very spot. 1:34:39 And irritating the Muslims there in that place. The Jews and the Palestinians in conflict. They say, "This is the spot which God chose way back to build his temple. This is our spot." And there's a conflict. And the Muslims built their mosque there and there's a conflict. 1:34:57 It's a place of conflict. The church is always a place of conflict. So where did he build the temple? Turn with me to 2 Chronicles chapter 3. It's very significant. The place God selected to build his temple. Symbolic of the church. 1:35:13 Solomon began to build the house of the Lord. 2 Chronicles 3 verse 1. In Jerusalem on Mount Moriah. Where? Where was the place? The exact spot in Mount Moriah was where he appeared to his father David in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. 1:35:32 You saw that? That's what he just saw. Where David had said, "I will not offer to the Lord that which cost me nothing." God said, "Build the temple there. Build the temple with people who will say those words to me. I will not offer to the Lord that which cost me nothing." 1:35:49 And there's an exact spot in that place. There's one more place that Clarke points out that spot. It is Mount Moriah. Now if you know a little bit of the Old Testament. Mount Moriah was where God told Abraham, "Take your son Isaac." 1:36:08 He had already sent away his earlier son Ishmael. He said, "Take your son Isaac whom you love. Take him to Moriah. And offer him to me as a sacrifice." And it was three days journey. And Abraham left his tent next morning. 1:36:27 He didn't tell his wife. His wife would not have let him go. He quietly took his son Isaac. Immediately. He need not have offered his son. He could have said, "Lord, I will give you sheep, gold, anything." No, your son. 1:36:44 He said, "The son whom you love. Take your knife and stab him to death and offer him to me." And I want to show you something that Abraham said when he was going there. He went up there to the Mount Moriah, walked three days. 1:36:59 Why did he give him three days? He could have offered him around the corner. Why did he say walk three days? God gave him three days to think about it. Is it worth serving a God who's asking me to kill my son? Is it worth serving a God who's asking me to kill my son? 1:37:18 And all those three days at the end of it, his answer was yes. It is worth serving such a God if he asked me even for my son, I'm ready to give it because I will not offer to my God that which cost me nothing. Why did he give him three days? 1:37:34 Because he didn't want Abraham to rush him. He said, "I will not offer to God that which cost me nothing." Why did he give him three days? Because he didn't want Abraham to rush him. He said, "I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing." 1:37:47 Why did he give him three days? Because he didn't want Abraham to rush him. He said, "I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing." Why did he give him three days? He didn't want Abraham to rush him to a decision. 1:38:03 He didn't say, "Just kill him around the corner." Take three days to think about it. Is it really worth it serving such a God? And at the end of three days, he said, "It is worth it." And you know, he went with his servants. 1:38:17 And before he went up to the mountain, to the top, to offer Isaac, this is what he told his servants. It's very interesting. The Bible study is a wonderful thing. On the third day, Genesis 22:4. Listen to this. Genesis 22:4. 1:38:35 On the third day, Abraham raised his eyes and saw that place. And he told the young servants who had come with him, "You stay with here." Now listen to read these words carefully. This is the word of God. Every word is important. 1:38:49 I and my son will go there and we will worship. Aha! What does he call this matter of killing his son? Worship. Killing his son was an act of worship. A worship that cost him everything. 1:39:10 True worship is that which costs you everything. This is the first place in the Bible the word worship comes. And it's a principle of Bible study that whenever a word comes for the first time in the Bible, it has tremendous significance. 1:39:32 That applies to many words. The first time it occurs in the inspired word of God, you understand what worship really is. Today, a lot of people worship is clap the hands, sing and sing a few jumpy songs and choruses and call it worship. 1:39:46 That's not worship. That's just entertainment. Worship is when you offer that which costs you everything. For Abraham, it was his son. And he called it worship. I will not offer to God that which cost him nothing. And years later, God said to Solomon, build the temple there where Abraham offered up his son. 1:40:11 Where David said, I will not offer to God that which costs him nothing. That is where my temple is to be built. Symbolically meaning that in the New Testament age, that is where the church, the living church of Jesus Christ is built. 1:40:26 Comprises of people who have the same attitude. I will not offer to my God that which costs me nothing. And I told you, the Lord told me that. Never, never offer to me that which costs you nothing. If you preach a message, it must cost you everything to prepare for that message. 1:40:50 Not just sit in your study and just take a few notes and go and preach like a lot of preachers do. It must cost you everything. Don't try to impress people with clever language and three point sermons and seven point sermons. 1:41:06 It must cost you everything. Then my fire will fall upon your life and upon your sermon. Otherwise, you'll just impress everybody. People say, oh, what a beautiful sermon that was. Oh, those were lovely thoughts that he gave us that day. 1:41:19 I'm not interested in that. I'm not interested in people saying those were lovely thoughts, Brother Zach, you gave us. I want a fire that falls that disturbs people. Disturbs the carnal people who have got carnality in their lives and think they are following Jesus. 1:41:36 And stirs up the sincere people and puts a fire in their heart that fills them with the Holy Spirit and makes them devoted servants of God. And I pray that will be true of everyone here. I pray the fire of God will fall into your heart and make you a devoted disciple of Jesus so that you can go and build a church wherever you are. 1:41:57 That's God's will. God doesn't want you to just be a wholehearted, one single wholehearted Christian. He wants you to move out from there and become a wholehearted family. And then as a family, you must build a wholehearted church. 1:42:10 God doesn't need 200 people. Two or three is to begin with. But they must be people who are on fire for God. Who want purity. And who are humble like Jesus was. Who can follow in Jesus' footsteps. Who said, "Learn from me for I am humble and gentle." 1:42:27 That's the type of Christ we follow, one who has got humility. I've often preached the three secrets of the Christian life. Do you know what they are? Humility. Humility. You know the third one. Humility. And that's not original with me, by the way. 1:42:50 It's from the Holy Spirit. And I'll show it to you in scripture. The three secrets of the Christian life. Philippians chapter 2. "Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus." It's a command from God. Have the same attitude. 1:43:13 Philippians 2:5 Have the same attitude in yourselves, which is in Christ Jesus. Got it? The same attitude, the same mind. And what is that mind? What is that attitude? Number one. The second step of God. He gave it up and became a man. 1:43:33 Humility. When he came as a man, he could have come as a king, but no. He became a bondservant. Verse 7. Second step of humility. First step, God became man. Second step, man became a servant. Slave. Oh, you see, that's the lowest form. 1:43:52 You can't go lower than a slave. Yes, there is. He went down to the death of a cross. Verse 8. Crucified as a criminal. God became man. Man as a man. He became a bondservant. Slave. And as he was treated like a criminal. 1:44:09 Humility. Humility. are the three secrets of the Christian life. And because of that, God exalted him and gave him a name which is about every name. That every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And what does it say at the beginning? 1:44:28 Verse 5. Have the same attitude in yourself which is in Christ. What is that? Humility, humility, humility. Have that attitude in you. That is why I say the three secrets of the Christian life are humility, humility, humility. 1:44:45 And very, very few people have it. Examine your own heart and see how you compare yourself with others and think you're better than them. See how you show off to others in some way or the other. Impress them with your qualifications 1:45:00 and your knowledge and like I told you about that guy who came to me after a meeting in California and tried to impress me with his knowledge of Greek. I said, you go and study all that yourself. I'm not interested. I'm interested in people who want 1:45:11 to follow Jesus' footsteps. Not those who study Greek and argue about words in the Bible. I want to see those who want to walk in Jesus' footsteps of humility, humility, humility and who take up the cross every day in their home 1:45:25 life, in their office and who build a church full of people who take up the cross every day. Amen. Let's bow our heads. dear brothers and sisters has the Lord spoken to you 1:45:48 today in the last three days give thanks to God for it in your heart and please never forget what you heard. Because God wants to change your life and make you an effective servant of His a servant of the living God to build His church where you are. Don't be satisfied with a third rate Christianity. 1:46:53 God wants to use you weak person that you are. If you will say Lord I will not offer to you that which cost me nothing. Just say that to the Lord today. Lord I never want to offer to you that which cost me nothing. He will take you 1:47:06 and use you to build His temple because that is where the temple was built in the Old Testament where Abraham and David said I will not offer to God that which cost me nothing and that is where the church is built today 1:47:18 where people say I will not offer to God that which cost me nothing. We have a Christendom full of third rate people who offer to God cheap sacrifices just like Cain. Just like Cain and that is why there is no fire in those churches. 1:47:33 That is why there is no fire in those preachers. That is why there is no fire in the meetings. But if you will say Lord I am willing to take up the cross today die to myself and allow you to fill me with the Holy Spirit 1:47:46 and fire and I will never offer to you that which cost me nothing. God can use you the weakest some young person perhaps a young teenager here. God can use you to build his church. If the older people are too proud God will bypass 1:48:02 all of them and use some of you young people. Give yourself to the Lord completely today and say Lord I will never live for myself from today. I am going to live for you 100%. Heavenly Father raise up an army like that of men and women 1:48:16 young men and young women who will be on fire for you and who will build your church in these last days before you come again here in North America in Canada and the US and do a mighty work here Lord. There is a great need 1:48:30 so much of shallow empty hollow Christianity preachers who are running after money and all that rubbish please raise up a new generation of those who will live for you 100% and build a pure church of people who take up the cross 1:48:45 every day and live pure lives and follow you who build godly homes we pray in Jesus name Amen.
