0:00 [Music] I hope you you've come here today with a song of joy in your heart. The joy of the Lord has nothing to do with emotions and feelings, what things look like on the outside or even what we feel like on the inside. It's it's the fruit of the 0:19 Holy Spirit. And if if you're here today with any heaviness in your heart, any anxiety, any uncertainty, even even perplexing, ask God to pour out his Holy Spirit upon you. It doesn't take a long time for him to fill you up. It hap it 0:33 can happen instantaneously. When God fills us up, he fills us up quickly. And if you need an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, even before we start singing or even before we go into this meeting, sincerity of your heart, dear brother, dear sister, 0:46 and even dear children, ask him to fill you right now. And then you'll sing differently than you've ever sung before. You'll uh pray differently. You'll listen differently. This whole day will be so different. If you can 0:59 truly receive his Holy Spirit uh in freshness, maybe we can clap and sing. I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart. I will enter his courts with praise. I will say, "This is the day that the Lord has made. I will 1:16 rejoice. Even if I don't feel like it, I will rejoice. I will rejoice. I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart. I will enter his courts with praise. I will sing this is the day that 1:32 the Lord has made. I will rejoice for he has made me glad. He has made me glad. He has made me glad. He has made me glad. I will sing. I will sing. I will sing of the mercies of the 2:09 Lord. Forever I will sing the mercies of the Lord. With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness. Thy faithfulness with my mouth will I make 2:28 known. Thy faithfulness to all generations. I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever. I will sing. I will sing. [Music] There's a a song we've sung a few times 7:18 before, but it's a wonderful song that says, "I'm happy in salvation. I'm happy the Lord." And the chorus will sing. He is coming soon. Think if if Jesus was to come at this very moment, and he found you with a frown on your face, your head 7:32 hanging down because of something on this earth. Think about being ready every moment of our lives. every single moment being ready for Jesus coming. That when Jesus comes, he says he sees a smile on my face. He sees that there's a 7:47 joy in my heart. That has nothing to do with how circumstances are around me because I'm looking forward to my bridegroom. That's the only thing I'm looking for here on this earth. If that's the desire of your heart, as his 7:58 bride, sing from the bottom of your heart, we can clap and sing. I'm happy in salvation. I'm happy in the Lord. He forgave my sins and now he teaches me his word. I have a living hope that 8:14 holds me up and gives me peace that you shall see my savior as he is shall soon he is coming. Oh happy glorious day. Then for Jesus Christ shall all our sorrows pass 8:32 away. Thing what rejoicing will arise from all of them who move into the new Jerusalem. Oh Lord Jesus is my shepherd. I nothing he shall lack. All things 8:49 serve me for my best and not can send me back. How could I be fearful of the valley dark and cold for through Jesus leads his sheep into the f? Soon he is coming. Oh happy glorious 9:08 day. Then for Jesus bright shall all our sorrows pass away. Make rejoicing will arise from all of them who then move into the new Jerusalem. Yes, Jesus is my fortune is a mighty 9:27 rock is he and a mighty helper who when trial strengthens me. Even if the seas do raise and mountains start to shake, I still have peace for I refuge. Soon he is coming. Oh happy 9:47 glorious day. And for Jesus Christ shall all our sorrows pass away. Think what rejoicing will arise for all of them who then they move into the new [Music] 10:08 Jerusale. Even tearful valleys seem no longer true and long. It might be a sorrow as my heart a comfort from the time is near when we shall hear the trumpet sound. Soon he is coming. Oh happy 10:27 glorious day. Then for Jesus bride shall all her sorrows pass away. Think what rejoicing will arise from all of them who then may move into the new Jerusalem. Soon he is coming. Oh happy glorious 10:48 day. Then for Jesus bride shall all our sorrows pass away. Fake what rejoicing will arise from all of them who then they move into the new Jerusalem. There is a new kingdom, a new city 11:08 coming. Jesus said, "Behold, I am making all things new." I hope there's nothing on this corrupt, dying world that captivates us cuz it's passing away. It's going to be gone in a fleeting moment. Dear brother, dear sister, dear 11:25 child, let's consecrate our lives Aresh to the Lord this morning as we pray. Jesus body was broken for us and here as part of his body as partakers of his new covenant of his life through his body and his 11:43 blood we must be broken as well as you lay your life on the altar as a living sacrifice. It does it's not a dead sacrifice but it's a living sacrifice. It's in that moment when I have the right to choose my own life and my own 11:58 will and to seek my own life here on this earth. When I sacrifice that and give that up to the Lord that he is he his name is glorified and he's lifted up. So pray with me. You pray in your heart dear friend, dear brother, dear 12:12 sister, dear children. You also pray as I pray on our behalf. Heavenly Father, we come to you and give you thanks. We've sung songs of rejoicing and we mean it, Lord. And we really long that the joy of the Lord, the joy of heaven, 12:25 the joy that characterizes your presence will be more in our lives. Lord, forgive us if any part of this week was lacking in that joy and it has to be only because your presence was not with us in some way or we weren't aware of it. So 12:37 Lord, I pray that you will turn on the light in our hearts and every single one of our hearts are fresh. Turn on the lights, Lord, so that that joy, we'll see you. You pour out the spirit of heaven into our hearts so that joy is no 12:48 longer a feeling. It's not controlled by what happens around us or what we think is going to happen today, but it's the joy of your presence that that when your presence is there, it is just fullness of joy. Do that, heavenly father, in 13:01 increasing measure in our lives. We thank you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the sacrifice you made for us that makes it possible for us to come into relationship with you, heavenly father, with you, Lord Jesus, and through the 13:12 Holy Spirit. So we give you thanks and honor and glory and praise. All belong to you and to you alone. Lord, may we decrease this morning a little bit more, more than we have decreased yet, that you might increase even more, that you 13:24 might be more glorious, more preeminent, more having the first place and the only place in everything. So Lord, we humble ourselves. We come to you as grains of wheat that want to fall into the ground and die that we might have life and that 13:37 we might bear fruit. We come to you as branches that are dead on their own except that we be united with you the vine. And if we abide in you, the vine, we shall bear much fruit. So Lord, for everything that we need for this 13:49 meeting, this this morning, for the rest of this day, the rest of this week, the rest of this month, the rest of this year, and the years remaining here on this earth, Lord Jesus, may we simply be branches abiding in the vine, bearing 14:01 fruit that you might be glorified by the fruit. Oh Lord, if there's a lack of fruit in our lives, as we look and examine our hearts, help us to be honest with ourselves. If there's a lack of fruit, if there's a lack of boldness, if 14:12 there's a lack of patience, is there if there's a lack of love or joy or peace, self-control, control over our tongues, control over our eyes, whatever it might be, Lord, love for our enemies, forgiving others. If there's a lack of 14:24 fruit in any area in our lives, Lord, we give it to you and say, Lord, we want to abide in you that we might bear fruit. Produce that fruit in us, Lord, as we commit ourselves to you and as we surrender ourselves to you. Thank you, 14:35 Lord. You will do it. It's not our work, but yours. We trust you to do it. Thank you, Lord. Pray for any who are discouraged this morning. Any in whom the devil has a foothold. Will you bind the work of Satan, Lord, and lift them 14:46 up? Lift up every hand that's hanging down and strengthen every knee that's feeble, Lord. Anyone that's discouraged, thank you that for those of us who are in Christ, there is no condemnation. Thank you, Lord. We never need to have 14:58 even a second of condemnation or discouragement. Help us to be done with all of that, all anxiety and worry. Help us, Lord, to be free. Thank you Lord for your goodness to us. We thank you especially today for the sisters in the 15:10 church on this day that the world recognizes as Mother's Day. We thank you for mothers, for our wives, for sisters, for the even the little girls. Lord, we thank you for the plan that you had in mind when you created them exactly the 15:22 way they are with the gifts they have and the calling you have for them in the church, Lord, for the jewels they are in your church. We praise you and thank you for them. Thank you for the humble, selfless way in which they serve. And so 15:34 we pray a blessing on them, a special blessing on them this morning and today. Lord, help us not just to do it and be thankful for them today, but every day. Give us a heart of thankfulness for them and bless them. Fill them with your Holy 15:45 Spirit, Lord, and use each of the sisters in this church according to the calling and the plan you have for them. Give them gifts to serve the church, spiritual gifts, Lord, that they might be a blessing. Thank you for the spirit 15:56 of Christ that they exemplify. Thank you, Father, for that. Thank you also, Lord, that you are a God who meets our material needs. We pray for those who are sick. Those who are sick today and aren't here or others who deal with 16:06 constant pain or other forms of sickness. Lord, if it is your will, will you heal them even today, Lord? If this is the day that you plan for healing, we ask you for it, Lord. Touch them and lay your nail prints, nail pierced hands on 16:19 them and heal them. You are the one that made us, Lord, our innermost being. You formed us when we were in our mother's womb. You know our body even better than we do. You know our body greater than any science or medical doctor could 16:31 describe. Lord, you created us and so you can heal. Even those areas that we don't know need healing, Lord, will you touch and heal. Thank you. Provide also for Thank you that you are our provider. You our jobs are yours, Lord. That you 16:43 gave them to us and we we we're not dependent on our employers or what's in the bank account or or what the market says the future is going to look like economically. Our trust is in you. You own the cattle on a thousand hills. We 16:55 you our our help comes from you. our maker, our creator, the one who never sleeps and never slumbers. The one whose plans for us are for our welfare, not for our calamity, whose plans for us are for us to have a future and a hope. The 17:08 hope that we will be conformed into the image of Jesus. Lord, this is our hope. So Lord, whatever you ordain, whatever you plan, thank you that whatever you ordain is right. You'll never deceive us. You plan everything for our good. 17:19 Lord, help us to trust you more, Jesus. Jesus, oh how we trust you, but oh for grace to trust you more. May this day, Lord, be a day of trusting you more than we've ever do ever trusted you yet. And oh, what a wonderful day it will be. 17:33 What wonderful things you'll be able to do. Miracles far above our thinking, our imagination even, Lord, you will be able to accomplish in our lives. Thank you that when we are weak, then we are strong because your power is perfected 17:47 in our weakness, Lord Jesus. So we come to you aresh in weakness and believe that you Lord who uses weak, who picks weak people will make us strong, will be strong through us. Fulfill your plan Lord for our lives. We believe it in 18:03 Jesus name. Amen. [Music] Amen. Let's sing the song of consecration. My life must be Christ's broken bread. My life must be Christ broken 18:22 bread. My love is out poured wine. A cup or filled a table spread 18:39 beneath his name and son. Another souls refreshed and fed may 18:55 share his life through mine. Oh, that's easy to sing. Is this the real desire of your heart, dear friend, that God can break you and take you through any trial and any circumstance, any frustration, any 19:12 disappointment, that others, other souls refreshed and fed by your brokenness and by your suffering may share in his life alone. So death works in us and life works in 19:26 others. My all is in the m master's hands for him to bless and bring 19:42 beyond the brokers and then my way I take resolve of 20:02 loves deands to give for his dear sake. For let me share that 20:18 grace of mine where thou [Music] disen the fruit of life. 20:37 The gift of buried [Music] gra with thee. All worth divine shall 20:54 rise and live again. That is our hope. who dies with thee shall rise and live again. Here's another old hymn we have sung before and I want us, it's good for us to remind ourselves again. I just want to point 21:13 out a couple of lines in this song. Verse three, will you be part of this church that God is building? Then there's one condition. You must hate yourself. Jesus said, "No one can be my disciple if you don't hate yourself." Brother, sister, child, I 21:30 encourage you this morning to examine your heart. Do you really hate yourself? If not, if there's some love of self remaining, you cannot be a disciple of Jesus. You are not a part of his bride. And I'm not the one who's saying that. 21:43 Jesus himself said it. So if you would be a part of the church that Jesus is building, say, Lord, I want to really hate myself and all my preferences and all my wants and all my self-seeking and thinking of myself. Even looking back at 21:56 this week, if you see that your life has been controlled by self-seeking and say, "Lord, today is going to be different. From now on, it's going to be different. I'm going to hate my I myself. My bitter fold. That self, that 22:09 eye is your enemy. And on the last line of the last verse, it says that this is the characteristic of the bride of Christ. Where he went, she followed him. Where he went, she followed him. Jesus is going somewhere today in your life. Dear 22:27 friend, dear brother, dear sister, dear child. Jesus is going somewhere. Where will you go? That's the question. In these last days of work, so blessed is rod of God. Oh, come and 22:46 see. A body formed to Christ's own glory. His holy bride as chasteed as he. His holy bride has chased as 23:04 he and all the meers of this body shall come to perfect purity. True branches growing and 23:22 maturing. Deep in the vine thou fruitful. Deep in the vine they'll fruitful. Will you be with this joyful 23:41 people then hate your eye your bit. Purge of the land of your self life. For narrow is 23:55 the way they go. For narrow is the way they go. So run the race that's set before you. Cast off 24:13 each thing that weighs you down. Redeem the time that God has given you. In every deed, let love abound. In every deed, let 24:30 love abound. The bride of Christ is plainly written, is holy, pure, and wise. She's as a 24:48 ding rock left in her. She has his mind and image blessed. She has his mind and image blessed. How blessed are 25:06 they who are invited unto the marriage of the lamb. But his pure bride has greater blessing. For where he went, she 25:24 followed him. For where he went, she followed him. For where he went, she followed him. And he has given us everything that we 25:45 need for life and godliness. His precious promises. Think about all the promises that God has given us. And his church that he is building. If you, as we sang, if you decided that you're going to follow him wherever he wents, 26:01 he wherever he goes, he will build his church and use you as a part of that church of God. ill loved and chosen church of Christ for whom he died. Claim thy gift and praise the giver. Ye are 26:20 washed and sanctified. Sanctified by God the father and by Jesus Christ his son and by God 26:33 the holy spirit. Holy, holy, three in one. By his will he sanctifyth by the spirit's power within. 26:51 By the loving hand that chasteth fruits of righteousness to win. by his truth and by his promise. By the word and gift 27:06 of Christ, by his own blood and by union with the risen life of Christ holiness by faith in Jesus, not 27:23 by effort of the known sins dominion, crushed and broken by the power of grace. Grace alone. Christ the holyness within thee. His own beauty on 27:41 thy brow. This shall be thy pure brightness. This thy blessed portion now. He will sanctify. He will 27:57 sanctify thee. Holy body spirit. soul shall be blameless till thy savior's coming in his glorious majesty. He hath perfected 28:15 forever those whom he has sanctified. Spotless, glorious, and holy is the church, his chosen. Amen. 28:36 [Music]
