0:00 [Music] There's something about little children, the simplicity and freedom from guile which we can imitate and copy. And Jesus once said when they asked him who's the 0:18 greatest in the kingdom of heaven. He he took a little child and said this is the greatest. I wonder we have learned a lesson from that. You know, I have tried to learn from children. Not just these children, but even smaller ones. I think 0:34 of a baby lying in the womb and I say, "What can I learn from that baby?" A lot of things. Jesus said, "Be like that little child because I think Jesus is referring to very poor babies carried by the mothers when he said that." And I 0:52 meditated on that. Now what sort of thoughts are going through the mind of that two-month old baby lying in the womb, sorry, in the cradle. He's not thinking how smart I am, how clever I am. Those are all stupid things that older people 1:09 think. He's just so happy looking around in the world and enjoying it. And that's how we are to be. We should not have those high thoughts about ourselves. And then I think of uh sometimes some naughty person can go and pinch that 1:24 child. Maybe it'll cry at pains, but tomorrow when that same person comes and sees that child, he doesn't remember. You're the one who pinched me yesterday. He's completely forgotten about it. I said, Lord, make me like that two-month 1:36 old child that somebody come and hurts me today and tomorrow I don't remember who it is. Meditate on being a little child because Jesus told us to do that. We are far too grown up. We we act like big grown-ups and dignified people. And 1:52 that's why we are so far from God's kingdom. You'll get close to Jesus. If you become a like a little child and the other thing Jesus told us is to be like a servant. We have servants in many homes in India because people are so 2:05 poor. They have to work somewhere to survive. So it's an act of mercy if you employ one of them as a servants in your home and give them a good salary so they can earn a living. There's one thing I've seen about servants in Indian 2:19 homes. They will sweep the floor, put the food on the table and disappear. So when the guests come to eat, everything's on the table. They don't know who did it. He says the servants. I don't know who they are. And the Lord said, "Be like that. Don't want 2:37 to be known. Don't make a big show of putting it out there for everybody to see that you're the great person doing that service. Do the job and disappear. Meditate on being a child and being a servant. And there are a lot of things 2:50 we can learn of becoming like Christ. The Christian life is simple. If you want to do obey these little little exhortations that Jesus gives, we got to step down from our dignified high position and come down and we'll enter into God's kingdom that 3:07 way. So I want to share something with you today about our human personality. Uh in the Old Testament they never had light on God is a 3:23 trinity father son and holy spirit. They only knew him as God. Today we know there are three persons and that first became evident at the baptism of Jesus. The son of God was there. The father was there in heaven and the holy 3:42 spirit came upon Jesus. There you see the three persons and the voice from heaven said this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased. And then the spirit of God came upon that's the first time there was an evidence outwardly 3:57 that there are three persons in one God. If you can't understand that this because you're not God. I've often said I can't understand the trinity. Uh how many of you know that 1 multiplied by 1 multiplied by one equals 4:15 one. Try and explain that to a dog. You put three bones in front of that dog and try to explain that one multiplied by one multiplied by one is one. You just can't understand. There's no dog in the world that can understand it. That's why 4:28 we can't understand how three persons can be one God. I'm not surprised. It just means I'm not God. It just means that dog is not a human being to understand multiplication. So the Bible says in one we are also a trinity in one sense but in one person 4:47 and the three the part three parts of us not three persons three parts of our being is in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says I pray that God will sanctify you 5:05 entirely your spirit soul Soul and body will be preserved complete. There are the three parts of every human being. Dogs have got a body. They don't have a spirit. What is the soul? The soul is 5:24 basically our mind and our emotions, feelings. Dogs have got a mind and feelings, but they don't have an eternal soul because they don't have a spirit. Between the soul and the spirit is a thing called 5:44 self-will. It's a part of the soul, but that is the door into the spirit. If you want God to enter into your spirit, the deepest part of you. The body has got ears, eyes. We understand truth as we read with our 6:03 eyes. We read the Bible. You understand truth as you hear with the ears and then it goes into your soul which is your mind. And when you hear something really stirring, it excites your emotions. It makes you excited and 6:23 happy. But you're still not spiritual. This is the mistake a lot of Christians make among brethren type of people who they emphasize the mind mind study study study study they don't become spiritual among Pentecostals it's 6:43 emotion emotion emotion clap shout jump and emotional songs and get all stirred up strobe lights and all that they don't become spiritual it's mind and emotions there's something else that will make you spiritual The third part of our soul is the door 6:58 into the spirit which is the veil the in the temple the will and if the will is not yielded however much you understand in your mind however much you get excited in your emotion it'll be temporary the conference is over you'll 7:16 go home you will return next year exactly the same what is it that will make you spiritual We need the mind to understand. We need the emotions to stir be stirred up. I'm excited when I sing some songs. It's my 7:35 emotion. I understand songs in my mind. I'm emotion. But if I don't yield my will. I can sing those songs for 50 years and never be spiritual. And that's a problem. My dear brothers, please understand it. I'm not teaching 7:51 technical stuff. I'm teaching something intensely practical. Man is spirit, soul and body. Body is our we have the five senses you know taste and smell and touch and feeling and all that that we understand clearly. The soul again let 8:08 me repeat is our mind with which we read understand emotions with which we feel. Feelings of love feelings of hatred that's all in our emotions. And then there is a will and your will determines whether you open the door to 8:26 your spirit or not. So if you don't yield your will and you just understand everything you hear in the meeting and you're stirred up in your meeting, you think you're spiritually or not. The mind has been stirred, the emotion has been stirred, but the will 8:42 is the door of the will is still shut and there's not you can't penetrate. Go inside. Let me show you a picture of the tabernacle. Can you put that picture of the tabernacle up there? The tabernacle had three parts. You see, outer 8:58 court, holy place, most holy place symbolizing the three parts of man. The outer court which everybody could see symbolizes the body. The holy place and most holy place are 9:19 covered. That is a soul and spirit can't can't be seen. It's inside the body. You could anybody could see the outer court. Everybody they can't see inside that part is covered. It's exact picture. And I want to show you a verse in John 1. 9:36 Before I come back to that picture in John 1 it says everything is in scripture if you read carefully John chapter 1 and verse 14. If you have a a margin in your Bible 9:54 which gives the exact Greek word like I have in my NASB. It says here the word became flesh and tabernacled among us. That's the word. It's translated as dwelt because most people won't understand tabernacled. But if you read the Old Testament, that is 10:11 the word here. Jesus, the word became flesh and tabernacled among us. That means he was a tabernacle of God in our midst. And we are to be the tabernacle of God among other people. And that means I must allow God to control my 10:28 body which is my eyes, my ears, what I hear, what I look at, what I watch on the internet and what pictures I see and my feelings and uh not my feelings my in everything my body but then I need God 10:46 also to come into my soul and spirit as well. So let me tell you a little bit about that. Between the holy place and the most holy place was this thick curtain which blocked off the holy place. You can't see it because it's 10:59 covered. A thick curtain which telling man in the old testament you can't come into the most holy place because holy place because God dwells there. And they were taught you cannot go there. The high priest went in went 11:13 in once a year with the sacrifice of the blood to be accepted. But the message was you can't come in there. You see there that's the outer court which had a altar of sacrifice and a labor. The altar of sacrifice symbolized Calvar's 11:28 cross and the labor symbolized water water baptism. And then inside in the holy place there are three parts. The table of bread symbolizing the word of God, the altar of incense symbolizing prayer and the lampstand symbolizing 11:44 being the light of the world. Then there's that thick curtain there marked by a partition between the holy place and the most holy place. That thick curtain was the one that was which symbolizes the will. I told you the soul has got three 11:59 parts. Mind, emotion and will. The will is the part which opens the door for God to come into our spirit. When Jesus died, that veil symbolizing the will of man, the self will of man was torn top to 12:18 bottom. What did it symbolize? It symbolized that Jesus never did his own will in all those 33 and a2 years. John chapter 6 verse 38. John 6:38 Jesus said, "I came from 12:36 heaven never to do my own will." That means he tore that veil. When the veil remains unto it means I'm doing my own will. The rending of the veil means my 12:53 will is given up. I don't do my will. And Jesus tore that whale every second of 33 years and a half years on earth. And at the end of his life, this it was symbolized by the veil being torn when Christ was crucified. And he said, 13:11 what did he say on the cross? It is finished. What was finished? The guilt of man's punishment was taken. And more than this, which many Christians don't know, the rending of human will has been finished. 33 and a2 years he rent the veil. And 13:31 inside the most holy place was God. And because he rent his veil, Jesus lived in fellowship with God every second of his earthly life. I'll tell you how this has helped me. I realize that I can go through 13:49 Calvary, water baptism. I'm still in the outer court. I'm inside the tabernacle. I'm a child of God but I need to go beyond that. So here we also have a picture of Jesus three ministries. First is out of court. Jesus is our 14:07 savior. Forgives us our sins, cleanses us. We take baptism. The next is we go into the holy place. Jesus is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. That's the second function. The word of God becomes living. the table of bread. It's a picture of God's word. The 14:26 God's word can be a dead book until we are baptized in the Holy Spirit. I remember the amazing things I discovered in scripture after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Many things that I share with people is what I got light on 14:39 through not through reading books. I got it from the Holy Spirit. And the light, the lampstand, I cannot be the light unless I'm filled with the Holy Spirit. It makes the life of Christ manifest through me. the baptism of the Holy 14:53 Spirit and prayer. You cannot pray properly if you're not filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who stirs us to pray to God meaningfully. Otherwise, it's a ritual. So that holy place symbolizes Jesus the 15:07 baptizer. First the outer court, Jesus is our savior. Then Jesus is our baptizer. There's one more which almost nobody knows. The third area because very few Christians yield their will. The Christianity of most Christians is 15:26 believe that Jesus died on the cross, take baptism and spend the rest of your life studying the Bible, going through prayers and trying to be a witness for Christ. Those three things there, but without the power of the Holy Spirit and 15:41 without yielding the will. Many people who are baptized in the Holy Spirit don't keep on yielding their will. So they remain in the second area, second compartment or the first part of the tent. Many this very meaningful what God 15:55 has given in the Old Testament. Every part of it had a meaning and it's very interesting to understand it. If I want to dwell in the presence of God, I've got to keep on yielding my will. Throughout the day when somebody tempts 16:09 you, yield your will and die. This is what Jesus meant by taking up the cross. You know what taking up the cross is? Let that veil be rent. Taking up the cross is die to your own will. Somebody irritates you. Ren the veil, 16:25 die. Somebody provokes you. Somebody tells a false story about you. Ren the veil, die. You'll be inside with God. You won't be disturbed by what they do. Very few Christians live with the presence of God all the time. That's why they get 16:43 upset. That's why they're discouraged. I'll tell you something. There's plenty of discouragement in the outer court. There is even discouragement in the holy place. The first the first part of the tent. People are baptized in the Holy 16:56 Spirit. Haven't you seen them discouraged and gloomy so often? But you get into the most holy place. There is zero discouragement. Rejoice in the Lord always. You cannot do it in the first outer court. You can't do it in the holy 17:08 place. You can only do it in the most holy place. Many of the commands in scripture, rejoice always, pray without ceasing. In everything, give thanks in be anxious for nothing. These commands cannot be obeyed in the first 17:25 outer court or in the holy place. You have to rent the veil and get into the most holy place. Then you obey all these commands. Now you understand why you're not able to obey it. Maybe some of you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. Maybe 17:36 you speak in tongues. I've seen lots of people who speak in tongues who are gloomy who tell lies will get angry. Where are they living? You never get angry if you're in the holy most holy place. I'll tell you that. I tell you 17:47 from my testimony. Go and ask my wife how many times she hears me getting angry. Zero. I want to dwell inside the veil all the time. You think I live without out in the world and people in the church irritate me and all that. People do 18:05 wrong things. Go and ask them how much I get irritated with them. It's a wonderful thing to dwell in the most holy place. This just is not just a picture. That veil is the most important thing. So the renting of the veil is 18:20 what we need to experience in our life. Jesus says follow me. Take up the cross. That is ren the veil. Die to yourself. Yield your will. Always it's the will. It's not intellect. It's not emotion. As I told you, the brethren assemblies 18:39 emphasize intellect. Pentecostal assemblies emphasize emotion. Which assembly emphasizes death to self? We do. In fact, that's our main message. Run the veil, die to self, take up the cross. There are very few 18:57 Christian preachers. They may preach it once in a year or so. We had to preach it every Sunday in one way or the other because we had to do it every day of our life. Our main job, we are not taking baptism every day. It's once finished. 19:11 We move on. We are to live inside the most holy place. Now let's turn to another verse in uh Hebrews chapter 4. So you now understood 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Man is spirit, soul, and body. 19:29 Starting with spirit which is the extreme left then soul then the outer court is the body and the picture is very exact only the body can be seen by others spirit and soul in us nobody can see it's covered tent okay in Hebrews chapter 4 19:45 we read about the word of god here is another verse which very very few Christians have understood I think a lot of people sitting here have also not understood I had a principle that whenever I come to a scripture I don't understand I'm 20:03 going to stick there till I understand it. It's like you study subject some subject in the third grade. You must learn it before you go to the fourth grade. Don't just ignore it and move on. Determine that everything taught in the 20:16 third grade you learn before you move on. That's a principle. You come to a passage of scripture you don't understand. I say Lord I'm not going to move on till I understand that. Do you know sometimes I've got stuck at one 20:27 verse for many, many days. I come back to that verse, come back to that verse. I say, "Lord, I want to understand this before I go on." Okay. Hebrews 4:12. I'm sure all of you have read this sometime in your life. Tell me how many of you understood 20:39 it. Hebrews 4:12, the word of God is living. Okay, that we can understand. Active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit. Have you understood that? You'll understand it when you look 20:58 at this picture. Piercing the division of soul and spirit. What is the division of soul and spirit in this picture between the holy place and the most holy place? That curtain, the way the curtain, the word of God is sharper, 21:15 seeking to pierce that curtain, seeking to rend that curtain. That's the word of God is always seeking to rent that curtain. And Jesus yielded to the word of God and the curtain was rent. In 33 and a half years, every day 21:31 it was rent. He was living in the father's presence all the time. This is the secret of living in the father's presence because of God's presence isn't in the most holy place. Anybody can go there if you want. You got to rent the veil or take 21:45 up the cross or die to yourself. Whichever way you put it, the word of God is sharper, piercing to that dividing curtain between soul and spirit. And there it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. The heart is also that innermost 22:07 being. the thoughts and intentions of the heart, the word of God. Do you allow the word of God to pierce through to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart? It's only then you'll become spiritual. Many Christians never become 22:26 spiritual in their whole life. They become soish. There are fleshly Christians who even though they're born again, they watch dirty movies and they're living in the outer court and probably after a while get out of the gate right out into the 22:40 world because you can't remain in the even in the outer court and live in sin. You'll gradually drift out of the gate out into the world again. Some people go in and out of the gate of the world into the world and back in in and out all the 22:52 time. But if you allow the word of God to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart, allow the whale to be rent, you will become a spiritual man. I tell you this, you'll be a different person if you take this seriously between now 23:07 and next year. You come for a conference, you'll be a totally different person. You'll be living in another another realm of spirituality which you never knew anything about. you've missed out on a lot because you not been taught or 23:22 because you read Hebrews 4:12, never bothered to find out what it meant. What should you do when you come to a scripture which you don't understand? Go to your shepherd and if he's honest and he doesn't know, he'll tell you, "Sorry, 23:37 sister, sorry brother. I don't know that. Let's go to ask some older godly brother who can explain it to us or go to some book. This is there are books of mine that explain all this. You can find the answer there and you can go to 23:51 through the Bible, read it there. But if you're determined to understand scripture, you will do that. Many people buy a copy of through the Bible and it's there you see see after 10 years they haven't read through it. They're not serious about knowing 24:08 the Bible really. I mean, if you're not serious about reading the one book that God sent to this earth, how can you say you're a serious Christian? We are supposed to be the bride of Christ. The bridegroom has gone away on 24:23 a long journey and said, "I'll come back and marry you." And if a bridegroom loves his bride so much and he sends a long 20page letter to his bride and she reads one or two sentences here and tosses it right aside, do you think she really loves 24:38 him? Do you think a Christian who claims to be the bride of Christ sometimes says, "I forgot to read the Bible." Yeah, my bridegroom sent a letter, but I didn't have time to read it. I was very busy the other thing. I don't believe that bride loves her 24:54 bridegroom. If you don't read the Bible every day and seek to understand God, I want to tell you in Jesus name, you do not love your bridegroom and you can take it straight from me and you're not ready for the bridegroom's coming either. 25:09 You're a hypocrite pretending to be a wholehearted Christian active in singing and so much activity but you don't love your bridegroom because you don't read his letters and if he write if he writes something which you don't understand you 25:21 don't bother to find out what does it mean supposing your bridegroom has written a letter to you and there's some sentence in it you can't understand what will a loving bride do call up a bridegroom and say darling I couldn't 25:33 understand this one sentence you wrote can you please explain it to me and he tries to explain to you you can't understand. Call him again tomorrow. I didn't understand fully what you said yesterday to tell me this is a real 25:43 bride. Such a bride will be and the bridegroom will be delighted for a bride who wants to understand what I wrote in my letter. What do you think of a Christian who reads something in the Bible? He can't understand what it is. 25:55 You say, "Ah, forget it." Goes on to the next room. What do you think your bridegroom thinks of you? One letter he's written for you to read and you don't understand something. you don't even bother to ask him or you don't even 26:06 bother to ask somebody else to explain it to you. I decided when I I started the reading the Bible 65 years ago as soon as I was born again I said I want to read the Bible through in eight months I read the whole thing most of it 26:19 I didn't understand so I kept on reading kept on reading found I hardly found any book that would speak to my heart a lot of the commentaries of the Bible were all speaking to the mind I wanted something that would speak to the heart 26:31 to challenge my life I hardly found Christian commentaries like that that's why I wrote through the Bible If you're serious about following the Lord, you cannot say you ignore the Bible, you must read the Bible, especially the New 26:48 Testament. I have the habit of reading every day four chapters of the Old Testament and sometimes one verse of the New Testament or two. I read the New Testament serially, mostly the Gospels because I want to see the life of Jesus. 27:05 And sometimes I'm stuck in one verse for a few days, sometimes four verses, five verses because I love my bridegroom. I want to really understand what he said to me. My relationship with Jesus is a love relationship. And when he I look at his 27:22 letters and he says love letter to me, I want to understand every sentence in that love letter. Do you read the Bible as a love letter? especially the gospels and the episodes Jesus speaking to you. I hope you will start now. If I can get 27:36 you folks to begin to love Jesus today and eager to hear him and listen to him and read his love letter to you and understand everything. I'd be delighted. I've done my job in this conference. And that's why I wanted to 27:51 point out this to you. Being excited, understanding you haven't gone through the veil. That is only soul, mind, emotion. However much you understand, you maybe you understood everything you heard in this conference. You're excited 28:09 about everything you heard. You're not going to be spiritual till you rent the veil. So here's another picture of soul and spirit. The soul has got mind, emotions and will. Only through the will will you reach the spirit. So supposing you 28:28 understood everything in this conference and you have stirred also some sometime you heard something boy that's exciting. You still not enter the spirit. When you yield your will, when you go home and you're tempted in some situation with 28:43 your children or your marriage partner, there your will is exercised. That's where you're going to become spiritual. You don't become spiritual sitting here. I'll tell you that here, you're only being taught the way to go into the 28:59 spirit. The Old Testament teaching is so exact. This is how it is. Do you have that other picture there uh of the house on the rock and the house? Yeah, here it is. Same thing here. The house built on sand. Jesus, 29:19 you know the story. The house built on the hands. House built on the rock. What is the difference? Sand is mind and emotions. You build your Christian life on mind and emotions and all excited. One day it collapses. You get all upset 29:32 and angry and you flare up. See what happened? You your Christianity never reached your will. Your entire Christianity was built on mind and emotions and a sto till there when there was no storm. Everything was peaceful in 29:47 the house stood. One day a storm came into your house and your house sank. That's not the day your house had a problem. The house had a problem from the beginning. It was not built on the yielding of the will. Now here's another picture of a house 30:03 which is built on rock. Do you have that picture there of the house built on the rock where the will is broken? You that means uh it says in Luke's gospel the man dug deep and went through the sand to the 30:23 will and that is where the house remained firm. So that is God's purpose that you go through the mind and through the emotions to the will and then you can your house will remain firm. It's the same thing as the other picture of 30:38 spirit, soul and body. So please remember this all your life dear brothers and sisters that you have to go through the veil to enter into the most holy place. You got to through through the mind and emotions to rock. Turn with me to Luke's gospel. 30:57 You know, I always used to think that the man who built on the rock and the man who built on the sand built in two different locations. One was a rocky area and the other was a sandy area. But you saw in that picture the rock is 31:09 underneath the sand. And that you see that in Luke chapter 6. When you read the story in Matthew chapter 7, the same story, you don't get it. But in Luke chapter 6, if you read only Matthew chapter 7, you think that the rocky area 31:24 is some other area. But when you read Luke chapter 6, you see this picture now and you see in Luke chapter 6 that um Luke 6 and verse 48 he's like a man that is verse 47 31:43 everyone who comes to me and hears my word let me add a little there understands it nothing happens excited about it nothing happens but obeys it ah And I'm adding there everyone who comes to my e verse 47 hears my words 32:01 understands it nothing happens gets excited about it mind and emotions nothing happens but does it acts on it that's the will see here now that this man dug deep see he's gone through the sand that's what it says in verse 48 he 32:18 dug deep so they were both building in the same area the foolish man also could have dug deep and gone as far as the sand, but he didn't. He's just too much trouble. Blasting the rock, what a lot of expense. So easy. Just dug the dig 32:31 the sand and build up. Living in the mind and the emotions so easy. Yielding the will, you know that yielding the will when you're tempted is the most difficult thing to understand scripture and to be excited about is the easiest 32:41 thing in the world. So foolish people build on the mind and the emotions. You probably discovered that most of your Christianity you're building in your mind and your emotions. Start from today building in your will that is 32:53 yielded. That is that is the meaning of taking up the cross. He blasted it's expensive to blast the rock. He was willing to pay the price through the sand built on the rock which is the yielding of the will consistently and 33:06 the storm and everything could not knock that house down. I hope you'll never forget these pictures. If you want to listen to that whole message with all those pictures, you go to YouTube Zack Punan. Soish or spiritual. soloulish or 33:22 spiritual that's the message the whole thing is there but I hope you will take this more seriously in the days to come and say Lord I want to be a spiritual person I don't want to be a sooulish person the Bible speaks about carnal 33:39 Christians those are those ones who only cater to the body you know they go by their eyes and feelings and ears are not eyes and sexual desire and food desire to eat food but they come to the meetings and all they are carnal carnal 33:55 means fleshly then there are some people who go a little beyond that and understand understand and emotionally stirred excited and like to clap and jump and all that they are so Christians so there are carnal Christians soish 34:09 Christians then there are the spiritual ones the spiritual ones who are consistently yielding their will every day who every day they say not my will but thine what did Jesus teach us to Our father, you remember that prayer who 34:25 art in heaven. He didn't teach us to repeat it but the spirit of it. But there's one word in it which teaches us that we must have that spirit of that prayer every day. You know which sentence that is in that prayer. Sorry. 34:42 Give us this day our daily food bread. That teaches us that we need that spirit of that prayer every day. He's not asking for tomorrow's bread. Give us this day our daily bread. 35:02 This day, Father who art in heaven, which means one who loves me, my father, one who's in heaven, who rules the universe and can control every circumstance that comes into my life, controls everything in the world is is better than knowing the 35:21 president of America. You're here, you're knowing the president of the whole universe. That's whom that's whom you're talking to. A father who art in heaven. There are people who say I I can't be touched because I know the 35:34 president of the United States. He'll deliver me from every situation. He's got the power to even pardon whatever crime I commit. You know that. But I'm talking to the president of the universe. Do you believe that? That your father is the president of the 35:50 universe greater than all the presidents in the world? Many Christians don't act like that. They get into some situation and say, "How in the world will I solve that?" Talk to the president of the universe. Our father who art in 36:05 heaven. One of the first things I learned from that is there from the very first word. What is the first word of that prayer? What's it? Our not my. You know the difference between my and our immediately I 36:24 recognize I cannot live this Christian life alone. I am a part of a body not my father. Our father I'm with you folks. I think of you also when I pray. Our father who art in heaven. And what is my 36:42 number one request? Heal my sickness. Solve my problems. Give me a job. No. that can all wait. Let your name be respected, glorified on earth. Make that your number one aim. I'll tell you this. This is what want to this is what it means to 36:56 seek the kingdom of God first and have the other things added to you. Hallowed be thy name. Forget about what people are saying about my name. Are people ruining your name by telling false stories about you? Forget it. Hallowed 37:09 be thy name. Lord, let your name be honored and glorified. Are you concerned that the name of Jesus is dishonored in the United States and in other countries of the world? Does that burden you? Or are you concerned because somebody said 37:20 one bad story about you that disturbed you so much? Somebody told said may told one false story about your son or daughter. Oh, that disturbed you so much. Start praying hallowed be thy name, father. Start praying that. I I train myself to do that. I 37:36 said, "Lord, I'm not bothered about what people think about Zak Punan or my sons or my wife or anybody else. Hallowed be thy name." Consistently every day, I want to say hello. You want to be spiritual, just pray this prayer. Our 37:51 father, he's my daddy who art in heaven ruling this universe. So I'm afraid, not afraid of anything that can happen. My first request, all my pains and aches and needs and jobless situation can wait. Hallowed be thy name. Your name is 38:08 so dishonored in the world even by Christians. I want your name to be respected and hallowed. Make that the number one burden of your prayer. It is the number one burden in my life. That's why I serve the Lord. Hallowed be thy 38:21 name. Next request. All my requests can still wait. Lord, your kingdom must come on this earth. All these earthly kingdoms dishonoring your name. Let your kingdom come to this earth. I'm waiting for your coming, Lord. I'm waiting to 38:35 see your kingdom established all over the world. Are you really? And next, rending the veil. That's the third thing. Rending the veil. Thy will be done in my life on earth exactly as it is done in 38:52 heaven. Uh if if God tells the angel Gabriel, I want you to go down to Nazareth and tell a woman called Mary something. Gabriel doesn't say, "Hang on, Lord. I something I'm doing something urgent. I'll come back in half an hour." Is that 39:07 what the angel says? He'll drop what he's doing and go be like that. Thy will be done on earth exactly as it is done in heaven. Don't pray it unless you're willing to do it. Your convenience will be 39:24 disturbed, but you live an amazing life. Thy will be done on earth exactly as it is done in heaven. And the angel Gabriel doesn't go and do half the job and come back and say, I'll do the rest later. He does not come back to God till he's 39:39 finished the job. And then thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We need our food. Give us this day our daily bread. I'm not asking for millions of dollars for the next hundred years. Give me this 39:58 day, Lord. Each day, I'm not saying you should not have savings. I I told you before Jesus had a big savings in Judas's car with the bank, but he was a big bunch of savings. It's good to save money. The Bible says in Proverbs 40:11 chapter 6, learn from the ant during the harvest time. It accumulates food because it knows that winter time is coming. There won't be enough food available. And that small I've seen little ants crawling on the ground in 40:23 India taking one piece of rice, one small bit of rice going through the to its wherever it's staying. And I said, "Boy, what wisdom?" Because it knows the time is coming when it won't get it. And how quick haven't you seen ants 40:40 at every picnic? They know where the food is. You'll always find them. Wherever there's food, there's an ant. They they know where to get it. Lord, give me this day my daily bread. Provide. Recognize. That's why we pray 40:53 when we eat. Because we are recognizing God has given me this. I don't deserve it, but God's given me my food. Thank you, Lord. Even Jesus prayed when he ate the food and when he multiplied the loaves. Give us this day our daily 41:08 bread. And forgive us our sins. It doesn't stop there. at the same way and the same level and to the same extent as I have forgiven others. If you tell a person, I forgive you but I can never forget what you did. Heavenly Father, please forgive me but 41:27 never forget what I did. Always look at me with that stern face because of what I did. Is that how you want God to forgive you? Or do you want to say like God says, I will not remember your sins anymore. Look around at the people who have done 41:43 evil to you and say, "I will not remember the evil you have done to me anymore." There's a lot of meaning in that little Lord's Prayer. There's a book of mine at the back called God- centered praying. It explains the whole 41:55 thing what I'm saying just now. God- centered praying because everything in that prayer is centered on God first. Thy kingdom, thy will, thy name, then it comes to my things. That is a God centered prayer. All our prayers, Jesus 42:09 said pray in this way. not heal my sickness and give me the job. That can wait. It'll come. You put God first, the other things will be added to you. You put your needs first, you don't get anything. Change the priorities. Forgive me as I have 42:25 forgiven others. Lord, I have blotted it out. Please blot out my sins and deliver me from temptation. I'm not strong enough. I recognize I'm weak. You deliver me, Lord. I'm very weak. I fall so many times. I'm depending on you to 42:40 deliver me. I'm depending on your Holy Spirit to help me. And depending on you, you can grit your teeth. You'll fall in temptation. Ask God to deliver me from temptation. For thine is the kingdom. And when it's all done, thine 42:55 is the glory. I'll give the glory to you, Lord. When I overcome temptation, I will not take the credit for it. When I my needs are provided, I will not take the credit for it's your your glory. Thine is the kingdom, the power and the 43:08 glory forever and ever until you come again. Amen means so be it. It will be so. It's a wonderful prayer. So a lot of things we understand when we take things seriously. I'm sorry to say that for many years I attend a attended a 43:25 Christian church as a young Christian. I knew nothing about all this and I never heard a single sermon about the Lord's prayer. They taught us to blindly repeat it. And I blindly repeated it for years till I said, "Hey, what am I saying to God? I 43:40 don't understand it." I said, "Lord, let me study." Then I took a full study on the Lord's Prayer and that's in that book. I want to encourage you, my dear brothers and sisters, be serious in your Christianity. Take serious. Supposing 43:53 you had to complete a certain course in order to get a job. Wouldn't you study every page of that book you have to study that course to get your degree? At least spend 50% of that earnestness to study the Bible. Your life will be completely different. 44:09 In conclusion, Romans chapter 8. This is how we conclude. You have heard so many things from me in these days. Strong exhaltations. And the answer to all of 44:29 that is seek for the power of the Holy Spirit. If everything you have heard in these last days has made you have a sense of need, boy, the standard is so high I can never attain to it. Praise God. If you feel like that, you'll be 44:42 driven to God to seek for the power of the Holy Spirit. And you'll begin to seek for the power of the Holy Spirit much more seriously now because you say, "Boy, what a standard this is. How will I reach it?" The answer is the Holy 44:52 Spirit. Lord, I believe this is the standard of your word which I've heard today and these days. Give me the power of your Holy Spirit to live according to your will. And if you have said, if you got that, if you got that far, I want you to 45:08 conclude this conference with these words. For all that you've heard, verse 31, Romans 8:31, what shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 45:26 Nobody. God is for you. If you're serious about everything that you've responded responded to all that you heard in these days, nobody can be against you. And if you have any doubt about that, if God did not spare his own son 45:39 when you did not care for him, you were his enemy. He sent his son to uh die for you, delivered up for you. Do you think now that you've become his child, he won't give you more for you? When you were his enemy, he sent his son to die 45:53 for you. And now that you're his son, her daughter, how much more will he not with him give us all the other things? At what price? Freely. I heard a saying once, man is always 46:10 selling. The devil is always stealing. And God is always giving things freely. It's true. Man is always selling. He's always want to pay a price for what he gives to others. Even preachers, you want to hear my sermons, this is the price. Pay my 46:25 salary. Man is always selling. Devil is always stealing. God is always giving things freely. It says here, he freely gives everything. Okay. Do you feel accused by somebody? Verse 33, who can bring a charge of accusation against those whom 46:42 God has elected? That's you. God is the one who will take your side. And justifies means declare you righteous. You dare not criticize my son, my daughter. I am his lawyer. Christ says he's righteous. Why is he righteous? Because Jesus says, "I have 47:02 put my righteousness on him." He's not perfect, but in my eyes, he's righteous. I don't care what you fells think about him or her. Who can condemn you? Verse 34. Christ who died and raised up at the right hand is praying 47:21 for you all the time. Let anybody come to the court of God as an accuser and accuse me. I've got a lawyer. I've got the greatest finest lawyer in the world. Jesus Christ is my lawyer standing in my side standing up for me. 47:34 Father, I shed my blood for him. Forgive him. What that guy says about him or her is right, but I shed my blood for him. Forgive him. He's saying it all the time. He ever lives to intercede for us. It says in Hebrews 7:25. Okay. 35. Who's going to separate 47:51 you from the love of Christ? Tribulation. You don't have much tribulation here. It may come. It won't separate you from the love of Christ. Distress. Are any of you going through distress? Maybe you are. It won't separate you from the love of Christ. 48:07 Persecution. Maybe some of you are persecuted in small ways in your office for being a Christian or for being upright. You lose your job because you're upright. Don't worry. Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ. Famine, shortage of 48:22 food, nakedness. Some people suffer that. Peril, danger, sword, where people are chopped their head off because they are Christians. It cannot separate a person from the love of Christ. It is written many people who follow the Lord 48:35 wholeheartedly. It says we are put to death all day long. We are considered sheeply slaughtered. That means you can be put to death while you're alive. People humiliate you, accuse you falsely, shout at you, get angry with 48:49 you. They're they're sort of putting you to death in a sense, ruining your personality. There's a dignity about every human being and they are robbing you of your dignity by humiliating you. As Christians, we must always recognize the dignity that every 49:05 human being has has. I used to tell my children in India, the beggars on the street who are so poor and rock bottom, there's a dignity about that person. He's a human being made in the image of God, respect him. Just because he's poor 49:19 and he's begging, respect him. That homeless person, respect him. There's a dignity about every human being because they were made in the image of God. And so we preserve that dignity. We'll never hurt anyone. In all these things, we've 49:34 listed a number of things. In all of these things, we not only conquer, but as the King James version says, we are more than conquerors. I don't know what that means. You conquer everything and more than a conqueror. Wonderful. Through him who ever loves 49:51 us. My relationship is always with Jesus. All these things, tribulation, persecution can all be there. But I live in a love relationship with my bridegroom. So, and so Paul says, I'm convinced about one thing. I hope all of 50:04 us will be convinced also that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. Neither death nor life nor angels nor evil principalities or things present or things to come. You know the demons try to harass you. Every demon was defeated on the 50:23 cross of Calvary. Satan was defeated. The sword of the spirit is given to you to res rebuke Satan. In Jesus name I resist you Satan. You got no right over me. You got no right to come into my house. You cannot enter my house. It 50:41 belongs to Jesus Christ. Sword of the spirit drive him away in the name of Jesus. Demons flee. I'll tell you that. I've actually seen it happen. Demons flee in the name of Jesus. No demon can stand in front of you if you have faith in the name of 50:59 Jesus. If your conscience is clear. I guarantee everyone sitting here, if you live with a clear conscience and you encounter a demon situation and you have faith that Jesus defeated Satan on the cross, you can tell that demon to get out in the name 51:14 of Jesus Christ. It will go to the weakest believer here. I say that you're a conqueror in Christ. Not angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing will be able to separate 51:29 you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. If God be for you, who can be against you? Please remember that as you go away from here, nobody can be against you. And don't let your past failures 51:46 weigh you down. God is on your side. always. And when you fail, he'll pick you up just because you trip up. He doesn't give up on you. You may try to give up on him, but he's hanging on to you. He won't let you go. And everything you hear in the 52:05 church in the meetings these days was not to discourage you, but to challenge you. We we've often heard sort of these worthless messages that keep us in a shallow level forever. But the Lord has been saying to many of you, come up 52:17 higher. Come up higher. Come where I am. Say, "Lord, I want to respond to you." Let's bow in prayer. Dear brother, sister, respond in your heart to him. Even if you didn't 52:37 understand anything, you may forget many things. You can always listen to these messages again. But say Lord Jesus with what little understanding I have and what little ability I have it's very little I give myself to you the 52:53 best I know completely totally. It's very little I have Lord but that little I have I give to you. You're my savior. You're my friend. I'm not a great saint but I'm a sinner saved by your grace. And I know you love me. I know you have 53:10 said that you'll never let me go. I know you hold on tight to me and that's my security. My security is not found in myself or even in my faith. My security is found in you. I can't hang on even to my faith. I hang on to you, Lord. And 53:25 you will never never let me down. I thank you. I know that I can go away from here with this tremendous assurance. God is on my side. who can be against me. Thank you, Lord. Help me to live with that assurance every morning when I 53:43 get up to rejoice in that God is on my side despite my all my failings, limitations, failures. He'll make me a better person tomorrow and still better person the next day and he'll move on and he'll fulfill all his purpose for my 53:56 life. Confess that. Don't confess defeat and failure. Please, from today onwards, don't confess defeat and failure. Say, God will fulfill his purpose in my life. Even if I fail a h 100 times, he will fulfill his purpose in my 54:10 life. It's that confession that'll make you victorious in faith because God is on your side. Thank you, Father. You'll do more for us than we ask or think in Jesus name. Amen. [Music]
