0:00 I consider myself to be a very blessed person 0:29 to stand before you in the church which the Lord is building. The word which we heard in the morning was a challenge for me and I have also repented. 0:51 I am a part-time specialist who works even after I have retired. I believe the Lord spoke to me through Brother Zach 1:12 that I am a person even after I have retired I am going here and there and making money but now I have to go here and there and do God's word. I have repented. All of us will imagine 1:33 that we know what is the meaning of the gospel but I wanted to show from the scriptures what gospel means. Mark chapter 1 verse 15 Later on after John was arrested by Herod Antipas 2:08 Jesus went to Galilee to preach God's good news or the gospel. At last the time has come he announced the kingdom of God is near. Turn from your sins 2:28 and believe this good news and believe this good news. What does the gospel refer to? It refers to the kingdom of God. This is the word of Jesus Christ. This is the first word 2:49 which Jesus preached to the people. That is why as we heard the prayer should be in our heart. Let your kingdom come. Not my kingdom. 3:11 Not my family. Not my church. Many of us have this zeal or this passion that we belong to CFC. 3:35 I want to tell honestly that I don't have a passion to build the CFC church in any place or CFC kingdom in any place. I want to tell my testimony. I go to a place which is a CFC church. I see an elder 3:55 but I don't see Jesus Christ. I have to be honest and give account to God. We need to repent. even today 4:27 wherever I go I must have that burden and that thirst. Lord your kingdom should come. I want to compare this verse with Matthew chapter 24. This is one of the last 4:47 words which Jesus spoke. Matthew 24 14 24 verse 14 and the good news about the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world so that all nations 5:08 will hear it and then finally the end will come. Even as we heard whether we pray or not one day the end of the time will come. But the Lord 5:32 has given me a word he's asking me a question in my heart does the kingdom of God exist? Is the kingdom of God existing in my family? For some time for some years I've been sitting 5:52 in this church as an elder is the kingdom of God present in this church? The next question will be what is the kingdom of God? we heard that 6:13 Jesus Christ spoke about the kingdom of God we talk about the heaven but we ignore the kingdom I am not sure I am not sure 6:33 I want to tell you that I am not sure whether I will go to heaven or to hell I am not sure I am not sure I am not sure of God is not sure of God's sake of God's sake I am not sure of God's sake I am not sure of God's sake 6:45 I am not sure of God's sake I am not sure of God's sake I am not sure of God's sake as AW Toves are told the person who is so confident that he will go to heaven he will not go there but a person who is in doubt he has a chance 6:57 that he may you know enter heaven I also want to look at you and ask this question are you thinking that you know like you should keep your name or Prabhakar when he is in the grave 7:18 that he is now in the kingdom of God resting in the kingdom of God please wake up brothers and sisters when I can examine 7:41 myself when I wake up in the morning and say whether I have righteousness peace and joy in my heart then I can say the kingdom of God is within me one day sometime when I go to bed my wife will ask me why is it that you are going 7:59 to sleep without praying I will ask him I will ask her do you know when I am praying I have already finished praying I would have just prayed one sentence I would only have this small prayer 8:27 Lord I thank you for being with me the whole day the whole day the whole day and keeping me in peace and not having friction with anyone doing righteousness and going to bed 8:48 at peace Lord tomorrow morning also I should get up and be in like that in my heart friction there will be friction the important point is whether I have preserved my peace during that friction the important thing is 9:08 I did not sin when there was that friction whether I have the joy which comes from the Holy Spirit and whether I have been able to preserve that joy we read in Romans chapter 14 9:35 verse 20 kingdom of God Romans 14 17 for the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink but living a life of goodness 9:56 peace and joy in the Holy Spirit beloved brothers and sisters are we making sure of this every day you must know this 10:34 that in my personal life I should have righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and then in my family I should ensure that there is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and among the many families where we are building 10:47 the church there also the righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit should be there peace and joy the whole christendom is talking about you know having a ticket to go to heaven the moment you are born again and that is all 11:07 and that is all they are speaking about as good news but the apostles they said that if a man sins he doesn't know God the apostle told 11:28 that you know if you claim to be abiding in Jesus Christ you should walk even as he walked I want to show one verse which has been a challenge for me in the gospel of John morning we heard 11:49 about the dwelling place of God where God lives do you know that the disciples of Jesus Christ before they became the disciples of Jesus Christ majority of them 12:11 were disciples of John the Baptist John the Baptist used to keep on saying that one who is coming after me is greater than me he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit after the baptism 12:42 of Jesus Christ John the Baptist had a revelation and then he pointed to Jesus Christ and he told behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world and there were these disciples of John the Baptist 13:03 who continually heard that the one who is greater is coming after me they saw him and they followed him John 1.40 Andrew 13:23 Simon Peter's brother was one of these men who had heard what John said and then followed Jesus who was the next one and that was the one who wrote this gospel John can you read what 13:45 these two disciples asked Jesus when they saw him the following day the following day John was again standing with two of his disciples as Jesus walked by John looked at him and then declared 14:05 look there is the Lamb of God then John's two disciples turned and followed Jesus John and Andrew Jesus looked around and saw them following what do you want he asked them they replied 14:27 Rabbi which means teacher where are you staying why did they ask this question the one who was their guru or master before Jesus was the one 14:47 who lived in the wilderness they had heard you know strong preaching but there was no one who could show by living a life like that 15:08 if you compare the gospels and notice you will see that John lived in the wilderness and the people who were living close by they all went out into the wilderness 15:28 they had only this thing that this man who was greater than John and who could baptize in the Holy Spirit 15:48 first question they wanted to ask him was where are you living and verse 39 it says come and see Jesus said they stayed with him 16:13 the whole day it was about four o'clock in the afternoon they went to him to the place and they stayed there the rest of the day you can see after that it's not just these two disciples 16:33 but Philip then Nathaniel verse 45 we have found we have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about him his name is Jesus the son of Joseph 16:53 from Nazareth when I was meditating on it this was the challenge which I received when I noticed 17:15 how things happen people read the books of Rude Zak or see some CDs or they hear some messages and they come to my church but when they come 17:39 and meet me and I speak to them are they convinced oh we have come here and we have seen that same person whom we have you know heard all this time and we can have fellowship with that person we can become one with that person 17:53 are they convinced like that or then we say that brother sister we have a meeting on Sundays in our church come for the meeting and after they come 18:23 to the church and meet us are they saying the same thing that here Jesus Christ is present and are they continuing to meet and say that whatever we sought for we are found here and they are here that is the fear that I have 18:41 when I go to some other place for 2-3 weeks and I come back I will ask my co-elders there was one new family which came 3 weeks ago are they still continuing to come here are they coming 19:07 to see or hear a very powerful sermon or are they coming to see a family here and they want to become a member of that family have they seen have they seen you know a person who has got a strong rhetorical power who can 19:28 thump the table and give a very powerful sermon or have they seen Jesus a family of Jesus this is the burden which I have my burden is 19:48 keep on showing me the places where your families are gathered or where there are no such families let such families be built up as your church I have meditated much comparing John and Jesus Christ in this book of 20:09 John the gospel of John I meditated very deeply wherever John the the apostle has linked or referred 20:29 both Jesus and John John the Baptist you all know Jesus Christ was baptized in the water Jesus Christ told John 20:50 the Baptist in Matthew's gospel give room now so that all righteousness will be fulfilled and John obeyed and baptized Jesus Christ in the gospel 21:16 according to Luke we read that Jesus Christ was baptized along with the others who came that means that means that means he didn't come secretly and get baptized but in the presence of all the others why did Jesus Christ 21:30 take baptism from John now now come to come to some practical matters brother about Jesus Christ being baptized why talk about that I am not able to find God's will for me in so many areas yes 21:53 I don't know I don't know which job I should take or which girl I should marry or which city I should transfer to I want to learn from Jesus how did Jesus Christ find God's will we'll turn to 22:15 the word Mark chapter 11 we read in this how Jesus Christ is being pressed 22:35 about just after he had cleansed the temple as we heard this morning from brother Zach we need a zeal and a passion but along with humility this John 23:07 the apostle who wrote the gospel he was the one who could say after meeting Jesus Christ for one day we have seen him full of grace and truth in Mark chapter 11 you would have seen how Jesus Christ drove out the merchants 23:28 and their customers and people are coming here and asking him who gave this authority to turn out the merchants and overturn the tables Jesus Christ 23:51 did not give them an answer he asked them a question verse 30 did John's baptism come from heaven or was it merely human answer me if we say 24:20 it was if we say it was from heaven he will ask why we didn't believe him when Jesus Christ 24:57 wanted to know about his baptism he saw God and asked him and then he saw the kingdom of God and John the Baptist coming to establish the kingdom of God and so he said oh this baptism has come from God and so he took this baptism 25:13 I ask, "Who is the one who is going to work? What is the one who is going to work? What is the one who is going to work? We are going to stop all the issues." I ask this question that you know we have so much of doubts or we are not able to find very clearly which job I should take up or which girl I should marry or which town I should shift to. 25:33 If Jesus Christ had looked at the people standing before Him and after Him and said, "Oh these are all sinners and this baptism is only for sinners," He would have got out of the queue and gone away. 25:55 You, sister or brother who has ears, please hear. Many of us who want to find God's will, when we look at ourselves and think about that, we only want to know what is our will and want to do our will. 26:22 Do we ask the Lord, "Lord, I want to do your will." This is the same John who said, "The world and all its lusts will pass away but he who does the will of the God, he will be established." 26:49 But when we also go on a road and we say a left folk and a right folk, we have to say, "Lord, which is the way which you want me to go? Lord, I want your will to be done in my life." 27:12 If Jesus Christ had said, "I don't want to stand in the queue along with sinners," then the nation of Israel who would be baptized by Jesus Christ, they wouldn't have been, even have that revelation that Jesus Christ was the one who would baptize them in the Holy Spirit. 27:39 Do you know that the kingdom of God or heaven was established by John the Baptist and Jesus Christ? When we talk about a family, we talk about a father, mother and children. 28:05 For the beginning of the kingdom, the one who had the authority to be the father was Jesus Christ and the one who had the burden was the mother, John the Baptist. 28:28 And the day of the Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured upon these disciples who had been trained both by Jesus and John the Baptist, they became one family. I would like to see like this, whether it was John or Philip or Nathaniel or Andrew, they had seen a family, father and mother, Jesus and John the Baptist. 29:08 My question now is, is our church, CFC, is that a family of God? In my home, between me and my wife, have we been like Jesus Christ and John the Baptist, and with full of peace have we built this family. 29:42 I am never alone. Wherever I go, co-elders are formed or developed. How have I learnt to live along with them? How have I learnt to live along with them? 30:04 As I told you earlier, a person has seen a man who has seen a person who has killed each other. a message in the YouTube or had seen a CD and they are coming to the Pondicherry Church. 30:31 Are they able to see me and my co-elder, like John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, obeying each other and being built as one family? You know that there could be many reasons why two people can't become one or have fellowship with one another. 30:51 We say that we have different languages or cultures and we give many reasons for not having fellowship. I have seen cities and I have seen villages. 31:11 I have seen Tamil Nadu. And within my limited experience or limitation, I have just gone around the villages and cities of Tamil Nadu. But when I look at that, I have seen people who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones. 31:37 And I have been so saddened to see in some places where there is no family which is being built. What is the reason for that? The reason is because we don't want to accept one another and be, you know, sort of yielding to one another and being built up together. 32:07 We are independently standing apart. Whenever my wife and I are not united, my children are also standing away, independently. If they are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are the ones who are not able to get along together in harmony, they are separate. 32:42 But then there will be a division in the church and there will be groupism. I am not pointing a finger at anyone. I want to show the Lord and the Word. We will turn to the Word. In the Yovan Suvishesam. 33:02 John's Gospel. Chapter 3. Chapter 3. 24. This was before John was put into prison, verse 24. 33:26 We don't know how long John and Jesus worked together or lived at the same work together, but during that short time, how did they live together? Jesus was baptizing and everyone went to Jesus for being baptized. 33:59 How does John the Baptist take that? Verse 27. Verse 27. God in heaven appoints each person's work. 34:19 Now this is a challenge for you. Can you recognize a message coming to you during your lifetime? From heaven. From heaven. 34:45 Even though I have been here for 37 years, it's not because you know I have a zeal or a loyalty to say I am from CFC. I am not going to be like a political party raising a political flag and following a political leader. 35:06 When I am gathering together as a church, I have my elder brother, I have my younger brothers. Is the Lord speaking to me in the church? When the message comes about the love for money, why don't you take it as the message which has come for you about the love for money in you? 35:40 If you say, "Oh, I don't want you to retire." I don't know who is. I don't want you to take it as a list. When you hear this message, immediately you start making out a list of those people who have retired and who are working. 35:54 Because we point the finger at others and we don't look into ourselves and judge ourselves, we don't have the spirit of John the Baptist. 36:15 The days when I am living on this earth, this is the message which has come from heaven. When I am living on this earth, I am living on this earth. And that is why for the last 37 years, I have kept Brzezak Ponen as my elder. 36:38 See how he is ending that. Verse 30. He must become greater and greater and I must become less and less. 36:58 When I read this verse, the Holy Spirit told me something to write after this in brackets and I have written that in my Bible also within brackets. John the Baptist had no jealousy towards Jesus Christ. 37:26 Here was John the Baptist who was speaking so powerfully and all the town was going to him and after that Jesus Christ starts speaking and everyone follows Jesus Christ. Now, John the Baptist had no jealousy. He said that he has come from heaven and let people go behind him. 37:51 I don't have any jealousy or envy. Do you know the friction? Do you know the reason why we cannot become a dwelling place of God where God can't come and dwell? Because of this friction, this envy and jealousy, competition. 38:12 You can continue and read this verse. John chapter 4 verse 1. Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard Jesus is baptizing and making more disciples than John. 38:39 John the Baptist. John the Baptist had no envy or jealousy or competition with Jesus Christ but in the church we have some Pharisees sitting there. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. 38:59 He said that the Pharisees are the first one. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. He said that the Pharisees are the first one. 39:04 He said that the Pharisees are the first one. These are the Pharisees who sit in the church meeting and they say, "Oh, this man has given this sermon, point number one, this sermon is better than, point number two, than this sermon." 39:19 Who are the people who can sit and say, "These words are coming from heaven, Lord, and I am repenting because these words are for me." 39:40 Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who are you talking about Sahariya Poonan? 39:46 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 39:52 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 39:58 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:04 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:10 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:16 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:22 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:28 When I went for that conference, I was imagining that since I am the elder one, I will be called to speak first in the conference. And I was going and sitting there. When I went there, I saw morning 7:45, 8:45, Bible study, Brother Victor. 40:48 I was tempted. Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 40:57 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 41:03 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 41:09 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 41:15 Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? Who is talking about Sahariya Poonan? 41:21 In the beginning of that Bible study, I yielded myself and surrendered and said, Lord, I am getting this thought of jealousy towards my younger brother. I want to yield myself to you and I surrendered myself. Because of that, I listened to that Bible study very intently 41:40 and I was also benefited tremendously. After the meeting was over, I went and shook hands with him and told him, You have come to replace Brother Zach. You were such a good Bible study. And I congratulated him. 42:02 And then the next meeting, they asked me to speak. Kerala conference, I asked this. Has Brother Prabhakar and Victor come to the Kerala conference because there is no one in Kerala? 42:24 When I was talking about Sahariya Poonan, I asked him to take the Bible study. When I came to the Kerala conference, I said, I am going to take another Bible study. I rebuked the church to say, Don't belittle a younger brother 42:38 who is taking a Bible study because it is not Brother Zach Poonan. If you know, I am saying, I am saying, I am saying, We know. We call the way in which Jesus Christ went as the new and living way. That means, the sword first fell on Him. 42:53 That means, the sword first fell on Him. That means, the sword first fell on Him. I will not be on the way. If I don't repent and say, I am now, you know, having this jealousy and I allow the sword to fall on me. because, 43:10 it fell on Jesus Christ first, it has to fall on me first. I want to repeat what Brother Zach spoke. Whoever does not have the sword falling on Him, he has no authority in the church. He has no authority in the church. That means, 43:21 I don't have the word, but, I will not have the word, but, I will not have the word. If I don't have the word, I will not have the word, but, if I don't have the word, I will not have the word. I will not have the word. 43:31 I will not have the word. I will not have the word. Whoever does not have the sword falling on Him, he has no authority in the church. Maybe I am thumping the table and preaching very vehemently, 43:52 but, if I am preaching in jealousy or envy, where will it reach? Where will I go? I can go and sense this kind of a competition in some churches. 44:22 That is what is written in John chapter 4 verse 1. The Pharisees, they were, you know, recognizing and they were trying to say that there is some, you know, they were doing this comparison. So, Jesus Christ left that place, 44:33 and he went to another place. I want to show another important passage in the Bible for you. You have to get this light, because you meditated on this John's Gospel, 44:53 where it is written about Jesus and John the Baptist. John chapter 10. As I told, there are many differences between Jesus Christ and John the Baptist. 45:15 dwelt in the wilderness. He ate locusts and wild honey, and he had no place to live. Jesus Christ dwelt amongst the people, and then he got a name as friend of sinners. as a friend of sinners. No, he didn't do anything. 45:27 Jesus Christ dwelt amongst the people, and then he got a name as friend of sinners. John the Baptist. John the Baptist never did even one miracle, but wherever Jesus went, 45:48 there were miracles done continuously, people getting healed, and demons being driven out. We see in John chapter 10, many miracles that he does, they don't recognize him for those miracles. 46:11 Once again, verse 31, the Jewish leaders picked up stones to kill him. Jesus Christ had to ask him, "At my father's direction, I've done many things to help people, miracles. For which one of these good deeds are you killing me?" 46:24 He had to ask this question. Jesus Christ had to ask him, "At my father's direction, I've done many things to help people, miracles. For which one of these good deeds are you killing me?" He had to ask this question. He had to ask this question. 46:39 Because of this enmity, they would have killed him with stones. That is, what did he do? We read in verse 39. Once again, they tried to arrest him, but he got away and left them. He went beyond the Jordan river, to stay near the place, 46:49 to stay near the place, where he had to kill him. He had to arrest him, but he got away and left them. He went beyond the Jordan river, to stay near the place, to stay near the place, and to stay near the place. Once again, 47:00 they tried to arrest him, but he got away and left them. He went beyond the Jordan river, to stay near the place, to stay near the place, and to stay near the place, and to stay near the place, and to stay near the place. 47:11 He went beyond the Jordan river, to stay near the place, to stay near the place, where John was first baptizing. He went back to the same place. This is how I see Jesus Christ. 47:38 You know, I feel like this, that you know, Jesus Christ would have felt, oh, I have done so many miracles, for these people, but still, you know, they want to kill me, and you have thought about, how it was, when, Jesus Christ was in the same place, 47:50 where John was baptizing. Maybe, John was not alive, at this time. you know, you know, 48:10 you know, you know, you know, you know, verse 41, verse 41. you know, you know, you know, you know, 48:30 you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, Jesus Christ, you know, you know, you know, and many followed him. They said, John didn't do miracles. They remarked to one another, 48:49 but all his predictions about this man have come true, and many believed in him there. That's why, the people who did that, We can say in this way that you know those people had an enmity for Jesus Christ. Now he has come here and these people had also heard John the Baptist and now they were believing in him. 49:25 And they were not having, not just for the miracles but for the teaching, for the message they accepted Jesus Christ and believed in him. Do you know the challenge which Jesus gives me today? 49:52 If you are really a disciple of Jesus Christ, like Jesus Christ, then you would be like John the Baptist who after he died, he spoke. You will also be a person like that. I don't know whether it's a challenge for you or not, but it is a challenge for me. A man who is dead but he speaks, still speaks. 50:18 I am also ready to die anytime because I am 62. According to the life expectancy of India, it's only three years more. What the Lord is telling me is, you be faithful and you keep proclaiming the words of God and even after you are dead, because of your words, someone will still come to the Lord. 50:59 This is my desire. This is my desire. Will not the young people rise up? Will not, you know, we have prophets 30 years and 40 years like John the Baptist? 51:21 In CFC. He died. In CFC. In CFC. He died. But they remembered the words of Jesus Christ and believed, they remembered the words of John the Baptist and believed in Jesus Christ. 51:41 My desire also is that many prophets will rise up in this CFC church. Every day, I am counting like that. If you ask my wife, she will say that I pray this prayer at least once every day. 52:01 Either morning or evening. Lord, fulfill the purpose of which you created me. Fulfill the purpose of which you saved me. I am proceeding towards the grave, Lord. I don't want to get trapped in love for money. 52:24 I don't want to have a competition with anyone. I don't want to have jealousy. May the kingdom of God heaven be in my heart. In my family. If I remain as an elder, then in that church, let the kingdom of God be established. 52:55 I am waiting. I am waiting. I am waiting to hear from Brother Zach. Enough for you to have been an elder. Amen. Amen. I hope we understood the spirit there was in this message. 53:15 Because this has been the spirit of all the great men of God through the years. As we heard when John the Baptist heard that Jesus came after him, is getting more disciples. He said, naturally, he should increase, I must decrease. 53:33 And that spirit, you know, when you see someone else being a greater blessing than you, maybe speaks better, maybe he can sing better or play an instrument better, and yet you are the one who is respected all along, to graciously withdraw. 53:55 That is the spirit that builds the church. I think of even in the Old Testament, you know, there was a time when God told Moses, I want to just read it, since we have a few minutes left before we conclude this session. The Lord once said to Moses, when Moses said, "I am not able to carry all this burden myself." 54:23 Numbers 11:14, "The people are so many, I can't bear this burden." Very often as our numbers increase in our churches, we do realize that burden becomes more. But, there are some people like King Saul, who will not recognize that God should raise up young Davids, 54:53 anoint them, and accomplish greater things through them than Saul could accomplish. Saul was scared of Goliath, David killed him. Younger brother. Cain and Abel went to offer a sacrifice and the fire fell on Abel's younger brother. 55:15 Cain could not stand it. I don't believe Cain would have killed Abel, if Abel was an older brother. The problem is, this was a younger brother. There you see the beginning of Babylon and Jerusalem. Cain and Abel started two streams. 55:32 Cain's stream ends up in Babylon in Revelation. Abel's stream ends up in Jerusalem, the true church. And it all centers around jealousy. The first sin, committed outside the Garden of Eden, was jealousy. That led to murder. 55:50 Very often, my brothers, sisters listen. You sisters may not be preachers. But when you speak against another sister, ask yourself. Is it jealousy? You don't take a stone and hit the fellow on the head like Cain did to Abel. 56:08 You only use your tongue to tear down that person. It's the same as killing. Because that sister has been more blessed than you in some way. Jealousy. I'll tell you this. It will destroy you like it destroyed Cain. 56:28 It will bring a curse on you and your children like it brought a curse on Cain and his children. Beware of jealousy. James chapter 3 says there's every evil work wherever there is jealousy. Numbers 11. When the burden became great, he told the Lord and the Lord said to Moses in 16. 56:51 Numbers 11:16 "Gather 70 men from the elders of Israel whom you know to be the elders. Bring them to the tent of meeting." And now listen to this. "I will come down and speak." And he does not say, "I will put my spirit on them." 57:09 Read carefully. He says, "I will take of the spirit that is upon you. I'll take out some of your anointing and give it to them." Would you like that? Would you like an anointing that you have received after much sacrifice and prayer and seeking God and God has been with you. 57:32 God says, "I'm going to take some of that and give it to somebody else." You'll have a little less. You say, "Praise the Lord. Let that other younger brother increase and let me decrease. I never want to be a Saul sitting on a throne, rotting away like some elders are." 57:52 Look in your own church. Where are the younger brothers coming up? You have been sitting there for years. Nothing has happened. You say, "Oh brother, the problem, they are not coming up." They are not coming up because you are sitting like King Saul on a throne. 58:07 That's the reason, without a doubt. And Moses said, "Fine." So he called for seventy and then we read. Verse 25, "The Lord came down and did exactly what He said. He took up the spirit that was upon Moses and placed it on the seventy elders." 58:31 And they prophesied. They had never done it before. They began to prophesy like Moses. But there were two men who did not come. There were only sixty-eight here. Two of them were, didn't turn up for some reason. They were sitting in the camp. 58:46 They didn't come to the tent. And the spirit rested on them also who didn't come. And they began to prophesy over there. And the news went around. These two people are prophesying over there. Verse 26. And a young man came and told Moses, "Hey Moses, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp." 59:05 And Joshua, who is a zealous young brother, without much wisdom at that stage, said, "Moses, stop them! Restrain them!" And Moses said, "Are you jealous for my sake? There you see a man of God. 59:26 Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the 600,000 people here would be prophets. And that the Lord would put spirit upon all these 600,000 men and all the women and children as well. Two million. I wish all these two million would be prophets and would be filled with the Holy Spirit." 59:49 That is the Holy Spirit. Moses was a New Covenant man living in the Old Testament. Just like there are thousands and millions of Old Covenant people living today in the New Covenant age. If you read carefully in the Old Testament, there were a few New Covenant people living in the Old Testament. 1:00:10 Like Joseph, who could resist adultery and even be willing to go to prison because he would not commit adultery. Where do you find such people? And who do not complain and who can forgive his brothers who tried to kill him. 1:00:24 That is a New Covenant spirit. Who could say to his brothers in Genesis 50 verse 20, "God makes everything work together for good." Romans 8:28, he is quoting in Genesis 50 verse 20. Such men of God have revelation. Moses was another like that. 1:00:42 Daniel was another like that. New Covenant people in the Old Testament. Just like there are Old Covenant people today in the New Testament. Learn from these people. I wish all of God's people were prophets. I wish they would all prophesy. 1:00:58 I wish the Holy Spirit will be upon them so that Moses says I can move out and just become one among the crowd. Instead of being the outstanding leader. I wish. Dear brothers and sisters, that is the only type of person God will ever use to build His Church. 1:01:19 And as we heard from Brother Prabhakar, we do not believe in promoting CFC. It is absolutely true what he said. That some people glory in their association to CFC. Oh, we are a CFC Church. That does not mean you have the same values. 1:01:38 It does not mean you have the same anointing. It does not mean that you can bring the Lord's presence into your meeting with your word. That is like the Jews who told John the Baptist, "We have got Abraham for our father." 1:01:49 We say, "Oh, we are connected to CFC Bangalore." What does it mean? We are connected to Brother Zach. God says, "From the stones I can raise," John the Baptist said, "God can raise up children from Abraham." Don't glory in connection to CFC. 1:02:03 I myself have told brothers who have gone away from, say, Bangalore to some other place. I say, "If you go to another place, and you find the CFC Church there is pretty dead, and the elder is a proud, arrogant fellow, and you find another church, a Methodist Church, where there are more Godly people, please join the Methodist Church." 1:02:23 I have told him that. Because I don't want you to have a loyalty to CFC, I want you to follow Jesus, and become better disciples of Jesus. I fear that some people have this human loyalty, which destroys the work of God, and I will never be a party to it. 1:02:45 Christ must increase and CFC must decrease. The glory of the Lord must be seen in the church. Not the glory of CFC or of any man. The glory of Jesus Christ. I pray that God will raise up in our churches, elders with that passion. 1:03:05 To disappear like Moses. So that the glory of Jesus will be preserved in our church. Let's pray. Father, we thank you for the word of God that encourages us and challenges us and helps us to follow you. Please give us grace, each one of us here. 1:03:28 It's an amazing grace that saved wretches like us. We never want to forget it. We never want to have any high thoughts about ourselves. We want to be what you want us to be. We want to fall at your feet like John did on the Isle of Patmos. 1:03:43 And say you are Lord, you must increase and I must decrease. Thank you, Father. This is the way we want to press on to perfection. Bless everyone here. Thank you for this morning. In Jesus name. Amen.
