Summary

True repentance is not ceasing to sin, as that will not happen until Christ returns. Instead, it is a fundamental change in one's attitude toward sin, where the believer actively rejects it. To strengthen the 'new man' and resist temptation, one must actively engage in spiritual disciplines like reading scripture, confessing sins, and seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance.
