But nothing compares [singing] with the love of your Son, who came to reveal >> [singing] >> who you are. >> [music] 17:59 >> He shone [singing] in darkness the light of your glory [music] to make [singing] us a part of your wonderful story. [music] Jesus alone [singing] is the way that your children [music] can come. So, Jesus deserves to be seen. 18:25 Jesus [music and singing] deserves to be heard. And Jesus deserves [singing] to be [music] magnified and lifted up [singing] all over the earth. Father, [music] 18:41 if this has to be, then [music] let [singing] it begin in me. Let your will [music] be done in this younger [singing] son. And may Jesus [music] be seen in me. May Jesus be seen [music and singing] 19:02 in me. >> [music] >> Father, you spoke to [singing] the darkness and void and filled it with [music] all that was good. And Jesus lived [music and singing] down 19:20 on this earth like I do, but did [music and singing] everything as he should. Help me to live by [singing] the word of your power. Let [music] me be under [singing] your glorious shower. 19:38 Jesus, the [music] hope of your glory in all that I do. >> [music and singing] >> So, Jesus deserves to [music] be seen. Jesus deserves [singing] to be heard. Jesus [music] deserves to be magnified 20:04 and lifted up all over the earth. >> [singing] >> Father, if [music] this has to be, then let it [singing] begin in me. Let your will be done in this [music and singing] younger son. 20:23 And may Jesus be seen in me. May Jesus [music] be [singing] seen in me. Father, [singing] when evil and pride touch my heart, you can bring [music and singing] things 20:42 to a head. The worst thing that happened, you [music and singing] changed to the best when Jesus was raised from the dead. >> [music] >> He came for sinners, of whom I'm the chiefest. 21:01 Show forth the power of your grace in my weakness. Jesus, [music and singing] the cross where you humbled yourself, I am raised. So, Jesus [music] deserves [singing] 21:18 to be seen. And Jesus deserves to [music] be heard. Jesus deserves [singing] to be magnified and lifted up [music and singing] all over the earth. Father, if this has to be, 21:41 then let it begin [music and singing] in me. Let your will be done in this younger [singing] son. And may Jesus [music] be seen in me. May Jesus be seen [music and singing] in me. 22:01 May Jesus be seen in me. >> [music] >> May Jesus be [singing] seen in me. Let's all stand up and sing the last song. Jesus, [singing] 22:23 we enthrone [music] you. We proclaim [singing] you as [music] king. Standing [singing] here in the midst [music] of us, we raise [singing and music] you up with 22:46 our praise. And [singing and music] as we worship, build your throne. And as [music and singing] we worship, build your throne. >> [music] 23:06 >> And [singing] as we worship, build your [singing and music] throne. Come, Lord Jesus, and take your >> [music and singing] >> place. Let's sing that again from the top. Jesus, [singing] 23:27 we enthrone [music] you. >> [music] >> We proclaim [singing] you as king. Standing [music and singing] here in the midst of us, >> [music] 23:46 >> we raise you up with [singing] our praise. And [singing] as we [music] worship, build your throne. And as [music and singing] we worship, build 24:05 your throne. And as [music and singing] we worship, build your throne. Come, Lord [music and singing] Jesus, and take your place. >> [music] >> As we remain standing, shall we bow our 24:52 heads in prayer? Let's quieten our spirits. 25:19 Our wandering thoughts, let's bring it into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Let's forget about what happened, what's happening around 25:37 you. Concentrate on the one who is on the throne. The great God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, the King of all kings and the Lord of 25:56 all lords. We enthrone him this morning and proclaim him as king. He is standing in our midst, and we raise him up with our praise. 26:13 As we worship him, we build a throne. And our prayer is that he will come and take his rightful place in our midst. The Bible says, >> [cough and clears throat] >> I blessed the most 26:37 high and praised and honored him who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures from generation to generation. And all the inhabitants of the earth are 27:00 accounted as nothing. But he does according to his will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth, and no one can ward off his hand 27:19 or say to him, "What has thou done?" He is able to humble those who walk in pride, and he is the most high God, ruler over the realm of mankind, 27:39 and he sets over it whomever he wishes. That is our God, holy, great, and glorious. 27:56 There's none like unto him in heaven or earth or under the earth. All heavens declare his praise. Let's declare his praise with a thankful heart for 28:16 all that he has done. Let's open up our mouths and give him praise and thanks. Yes, Lord, we praise you because you're worthy of all praise, honor, glory, adoration. You are the only one 28:35 who deserves all the glory from your people. The whole earth declares and is filled with the glory of the Lord. Lord, the heavens declare your mighty works. Your glory is seen around us. 28:52 We thank you that we are upheld by you, and the whole world is upheld by you, the universe. Lord, you uphold by the word of your power. Lord Jesus, we thank you. We praise you. We bless you, majesty. Father, this morning as we come before 29:11 your throne, we come with expectancy, Lord Jesus, that you will speak to each and every one of us according to our needs, that you will give us the word that we need and not what we want. Lord Jesus, we pray that you will 29:28 anoint your servant, that you will fill him with your word, with your spirit, that you will speak to us according to our needs, and that you will be glorified in our midst. Thank you for this morning time. Thank you for 29:45 all those who are gathered here, we pray that Lord your presence will be mighty in our midst this morning. Be exalted, be glorified, and honored. We bless you and praise you in Jesus' name. Amen. 30:04 Amen. Please take your seats. We will [clears throat] look at our last week's memory verse. Last week's memory verse was a promise from Jeremiah 17:7. 30:24 Say together with me, Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 7. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is in the Lord. And 30:44 today we have a command this week. This from Jeremiah chapter 7 verse 23. Obey my voice and I'll be your God and you'll be my people. 31:01 Jeremiah 7:23. Obey my voice and I'll be your God and you will be my people. Dear brothers and sisters, this morning 31:20 we have in our midst our brother Jesudas who is from Chennai. He's an elder in uh Chennai Tambaram church. And uh we are glad that he's going to bring God's word to us. >> [snorts] 31:37 >> And uh brief introduction, brother Jesudas worked as a research scientist in a pharmaceutical industry. And he's been the elder of Tambaram church in Chennai since 2016. 31:57 And he's married to sister Geetha who is also with us this morning. He has two daughters uh Suba and Sudha married to two godly brothers, John Polo and Finny. 32:14 And we have the privilege of listening to God's word through uh dear brother Jesudas. Brother Jesudas, over to you. Praise the Lord. 32:41 I want to share the greetings from the Chennai church to all of you here. We thank God for the church here in Bangalore for all the blessings that we and all of the churches in Tamil Nadu and other places have received. 32:59 Especially the word of God that is gone forth from here to many places and we have been tremendous tremendously blessed. And we want to thank God for that. Yeah, we've been uh 33:17 in the last couple of days uh we've been thinking on a theme. As you see here, turn your attention to the Lord. And today also 33:32 I want to continue to meditate on that. Especially to the young people and of course to all of us sitting here. Let us turn 33:52 our attention to the Lord and fully surrender ourselves to him. You know, one of the tactics of Satan is he always want 34:12 you young people and all of us here to have a divided heart. That is his one of the tactics. He knew if your heart is divided he knew for sure one day he can make it fall. I want to read these words in 34:34 Luke 11:17. As the words from the word [clears throat] Lord spoke Luke 11:17, every kingdom divided against itself is doomed to destruction. 34:56 And a house divided against itself falls. If my heart is divided, your heart is divided it is doomed. 35:14 And one day if it is divided, a house divided, your heart and that you can the house we can see it as your heart. If it is divided it's sure to fall. Let me ask you a question. 35:32 Young people has ever Satan asked you can you give me a place in your heart? Have you ever heard Satan asking you that question? 35:49 Will you please give me a place in in your heart? You have never heard that because Satan will not ask a place in your heart because he knew if he come and ask you, you will say definitely no. Yeah, he may indirectly 36:13 ask that question through a girl or a boy. Or he might want your attention to some other earthly thing. But you know what his suggestion is, 36:31 what his tactic is? He'll say he knew that you are going to give your heart to the Lord. He knew that you want to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. But he'll only say 36:50 don't give everything to God. Keep something for yourself. Keep something for yourself. That is his tactic. Young brothers and sisters, please understand that. His tactic is I tell you again, keep 37:12 something for yourself. That is his tactic. And many have fallen into that tactic. That is how he wants to bring a division in the heart, a divided heart within you. Something happened in the 37:35 early church. There were two believers two kinds of believers I would say. They uh let's turn to this passage in Acts. Acts chapter 5. 38:00 Acts chapter 4 and 5. See, there is a great danger in keeping back something for ourselves when God asks us to to surrender everything of us to 38:19 him. The danger in keeping back it might be a small area. It might be a very small thing. But if he if you don't surrender it the devil will one day fill it 38:41 and he will destroy. That is exactly happened. That is the lesson we learned from the first church at Jerusalem. In Acts 4, the last part the last passage of chapter 4 we hear about we read about a person 38:59 Joseph. A person called Joseph, a Levite. And apostles apostles you know, did not call him by that name, but they called him a son of encouragement. Barnabas. We see clearly 39:19 from his life that he had an undivided heart, undivided heart. He did not keep anything for himself. First he gave his heart completely to the Lord. And he must be a spiritual person. 39:37 Otherwise, he couldn't be a person of encouraging other a man of encouragement, a son of encouragement. And the Holy Spirit, you know, attested is how he wholeheartedly gave everything 39:56 to the Lord. If we read here, this is one example I see how you are such a wholehearted person. It says in verse 37, he owned a tract of land. And he sold it. 40:14 I don't know how many of you know what a tract of land is. I just searched the internet and I found a tract of land is about 300 to 600 acres of land. Huge, vast area of 40:34 land. And he sold it. I think he must have got a very huge amount of money. And he decided whatever comes I'll give to God. I'll lay it on the feet of the apostles. 40:52 And he did it. That was an undivided heart. And to such a undivided heart, definitely the Lord commits a ministry. The Lord has a purpose for you young people. 41:12 For each one of you. And if he sees in you a longing, a desire, "Lord, I want to have an undivided heart. I want to fully surrender to you, Lord, my life. I don't want to keep anything for myself." Yes. The Lord will plan a ministry for you in the 41:33 church, in the body of Christ. And he will he'll help you like he helped um like he helped he'll also help you 41:49 to be an encouragement to others. Like Barnabas. He'll give you a ministry of encouragement, encouraging others. We all know about that poor widow who had only two mites. 42:10 She gave. She gave. And you know how the Lord's heart was delighted on seeing that. See, it is not the amount of thing or money that you give to the Lord. I remember one godly man saying 42:29 "You will be rewarded not on the basis of how much you give, but you will be rewarded on the basis of how much you kept for yourself." And Barnabas, he did not keep anything for himself. That was an undivided heart. And in his heart 42:50 he purposed, "I want to give everything to the Lord, everything to the Lord." And you know, I I was blessed by the um a phrase a phrase in Acts 15 25. How Barnabas 43:10 was seen by the apostles. It says in verse 25 the council, you know, they gathered all the apostles and the elders. And they say um I want you to notice this. They say in 43:29 verse 25, "Our beloved Barnabas and Paul." He was called beloved Barnabas. What a wonderful way when God sees that we want to surrender everything, willing to pay any price to fully surrender our heart to him, our 43:49 life to him. As we become beloved to him and beloved to his church. The blessings upon this man with undivided heart, what a great blessings. And immediately after this incident 44:10 the next chapter in Acts 5, I mean in after chapter 4 in Acts 5 the Holy Spirit inspired Luke to write about another person. Another couple, Ananias and Sapphira. As 44:29 we all know that story. And that you this was like another group of people in the church. A one group of people who is willing to give everything, fully surrender to the Lord. And another group 44:44 of people like Ananias and Sapphira. They had a divided heart. They had a divided heart. They also were willing to sell a land and give it to the Lord and lay it on 45:04 the apostles' feet. And you all know the story. They sold only a piece of land, it says in English. In the verse one, chapter 5 verse one, they sold a piece of property. One sold a tract of lands, 300 to 600 45:26 acres, but this family, they sold That's not it's not the quantity that matters. But how much you keep it for yourself. They sold a piece of property. And verse two we read, they kept back 45:46 some of the price for himself. Keeping back something for himself. Keeping back something for yourself. That is how the devil was working in the 46:04 early church. He's looking for people. He's He's enticing people. "Don't give everything to the Lord. Keep something for yourself. Don't give up everything. Don't put every idols on the altar. Keep something 46:21 for yourself. Keep something. You don't need to give that. Or maybe you can give it later." But you know what happened. They kept back something for themselves. 46:38 And they gave a picture as if they are surrendering everything. For them the honor of men was so important. They were not living before God, but they were living before the apostles, other men, other families. 46:58 Young people. That is the danger. When you keep something for when you keep something for yourself you will you will always seek to please others, please the elders. You will not live before God. Like Ananias and Sapphira, they kept 47:17 something for themselves. And they were living before others. They only want to give a picture. They were pretending as if they are giving everything to the Lord. And you know the sad story. They kept something for themselves and 47:36 that was enough for the devil. That was enough for the devil. You know what happened? Peter said, they didn't realize. But Peter said in verse three "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart 47:54 to lie?" They did not give everything to the Satan. They only kept something for themselves. But apostle could see that, could see through that. 48:10 That Satan filled your heart, Ananias. That's a lesson for all of us. Keeping something for myself is a great danger. That is why we have to turn to the Lord. 48:30 If you have turned to the Lord, young brothers, young sisters in your heart toward the Lord give everything, surrender everything. Don't keep anything for yourself. Don't keep anything for yourself. One day the devil will completely fill it 48:49 with a sin. For them it's a sin of lying. They put the spirit of God to test. The nature of the divided heart is it it always seek honor 49:08 at the expense of truth. A divided heart seek honor from others at the expense of truth. And the price they paid is very huge. There was immediate judgment upon them. 49:27 Well, such a thing cannot happen today. God is merciful. But you will not grow. You will not grow. The devil always have a say in your life because he found something in yourself. That's something that you want to keep it for yourself. 49:46 That is why brothers, young brothers and all of us, let us not keep anything for ourselves. Let us fully surrender to the Lord. Let us ask God, "Lord, I'm not able to surrender everything, Lord. This is something I'm not able. Lord, please 50:04 help me, but I want to surrender. Make me willing, Lord." Brother, sister, young brothers, sisters, if you have that cry, >> [clears throat] >> the Lord will help you. The Lord will open your eyes to see his love. He will not grab you and make you to 50:22 put everything on the altar, to his altar. No. He'll show his love. He'll help you to show his love for to see his love. And you will surrender. Our God is a good God. You know, God wants to set your heart on 50:40 fire. The fire of his love always burning in your hearts. He wants to do that. I learned a lesson from the disciples of Emmaus. It's a one way. We all know how the hearts of those 50:58 disciples, Emmaus disciples, their heart were set on fire that day. They themselves testified it. Our hearts were burning. Jesus wanted to set their hearts on fire. 51:17 But why he chose those two disciples on that day? There were many followers of him. 11 disciples were there, Mary Magdalene was there, and other women were there. There could have been many other disciples on that day. 51:37 They were gathering in one place, but why God, the Lord Jesus, chose these two disciples of Emmaus? Let's turn to Luke 24. Why did the Lord choose to approach 51:56 these two disciples who were in a in a errand? They were traveling. What is it the Lord found in them that he decided after his resurrection, after his resurrection, some wonderful thing happened in the two disciples' life? 52:16 So many blessings they received on that day. You all know that. They he explained the scriptures. And not only that, they after after resurrection, he spent nearly 3 hours all the way. 52:35 They travel. It was nearly they it would have taken nearly 3 hours. Jesus chose to be with those disciples for 3 hours and having fellowship with them. Why? What is it that made the Lord to have such as to spend such a time with them? 52:55 And not only that, we know he broke bread with them. The first time after resurrection, he broke bread with them. A symbol of fellowship. A deep fellowship. Why? We read. I want to tell you the reason 53:16 that blessed my heart. In Luke 24, yeah, the story goes, two of them were going to a village near Emmaus. And they were talking with each other about all these things which had taken place. They were on the way where they 53:35 started the journey and they were talking about it. >> [snorts] >> And while they were talking and discussing, verse 15, Jesus himself approached and began traveling with them. They didn't know that it is Jesus. They thought some guy is joining with them. 53:55 It says their eyes were kept from recognizing him. And he joined with them and walking along with them, he asked, "Hey, what are what are these words you are discussing, you are exchanging with one another as you are walking?" 54:10 >> [snorts] [sighs and clears throat] >> And they came to a stop. They stopped. And their face became very sad, looking sad. And one of them, named Cleopas, he answered and said, "Hey, are you the only one living near 54:29 Jerusalem who don't know anything about what happened the last 2 3 days?" And Jesus was asking, "What sort of things?" As if he doesn't know anything. And they told him the background. 54:50 You know, those about those things are about Jesus the Nazarene who proved to be a prophet, mighty indeed in word. You know how the chief priests and our rulers handed him over to and sentenced to death and crucified him. 55:03 But we were hoping that it was he who was going to redeem Israel. It's third day now since all these things have happened. And also, some women this morning, they left us bewildered. They were at the tomb early morning 55:22 and did not find his body. They came saying they had also seen the visions of angels. And those angels said that he is alive. And it is true, some of us, you know, some of the disciples with us, you know, they were went to the tomb and found it 55:39 was exactly as the woman had said. They did not see him. They were just narrating what happened. Suddenly he had there, "YOU FOOLISH MEN, SLOW HEART TO BELIEVE IN all that the 55:59 prophets have spoken." A strong rebuke. Can you imagine that? Someone who is traveling, you are Supposing you are on a travel and someone is coming along with you. And suddenly says, "You are You are fool. 56:17 You are a foolish person." How do you react? How will you react? They were the first person after resurrection that Jesus rebuked so strongly. Do you know how they received it? 56:37 They received the correction without getting offended. They didn't know it is Jesus. They received They had a heart to receive correction from others. Young brothers, young sisters, 56:56 that's the secret. That is the secret. You want your heart to be set on fire? You want to have a deep fellowship with the Lord Jesus? You want to walk with him every day? Do you have an attitude, a heart to receive 57:14 correction from others? From your parents? From the elders in the church? And how do I say that they received the correction in the right attitude? Supposing one of the elders in your church [snorts] 57:34 calls you and rebuke you very strongly. What will be your attitude towards them? Think about it. Will you invite them to your home? Brother, please come to my home. 57:55 Will you invite them from your heart? Will you nag them, "Please come to my home, brother." Or will you keep yourself away from that elder? Or any person? It applies to all of us sitting here. 58:15 How do I receive correction? How you when the husband corrects your wives? And even the wives when correct husbands, we husbands, how do we take correction? 58:33 Do we get offended? And they did not get offended. You know, in verse 29, that is the proof. Luke 24:29, it says, "They strongly urged him." They strongly They didn't They didn't say 58:51 for the sake of, you know, inviting him, "Please come. Please come, brother. Please come and stay with us tonight." No. After receiving the correction from an unknown person, they they called him. They strongly urged him. 59:10 Because he had They had a heart to receive correction, the Lord explained all the scriptures to them. He opened their mind. He opened their mind. Yeah, the most important thing is not 59:29 listening to the explanations of the scriptures, though it is needed, but an explanation that leads to the fellowship with Jesus Christ. Dining with him. And it is then 59:48 the Lord made them to recognize himself. What a loss it would have been if they got offended. What a thing they would have missed. Their heart would have become cold. You want your heart to be set on fire? 1:00:12 You want the Lord to speak to you every day explaining the scriptures to you? Want to have a fellowship with the Lord? Learn that small lesson. Receive correction from others in the right attitude. Another thing I want to 1:00:31 say to the young people is to all of us let's have a great longing. Let us ask the Lord, "Lord, give me a longing for Jesus." I remember, you know, I I read a 1:00:49 prayer of a a Catholic nun who lived nearly 700 years ago. She prayed a prayer. It's one of one one request in that prayer is 1:01:08 that really blessed my heart. "Lord, give me a longing for Jesus Christ." A Catholic nun 700 years ago. I was ashamed. I said, "Lord, I have known many truths, wonderful truths, 1:01:26 but I do not have a longing, Lord." Ashamed of and and reading that prayer. A longing, a longing, you know, I remember I remember reading that poem by Frederick Faber. 1:01:45 It is is a big poem and in in one stanza it says it reads like this, "For the lack of desire is the ill of all ills." I repeat, "For the lack of desire lack of desire for the Lord is the ill of all ills. 1:02:05 >> [snorts] >> And many thousands through it the dark path have trod." The balsam, the wine of predestinate wills is a jubilant pining and longing for God. A longing for God. What is Ask yourself, what is my number 1:02:25 one longing now? All of us of all ages. The lack of longing that is the danger that we all face. The lack of longing for Jesus. That is the reason why we are not 1:02:44 growing. We have not known the real Jesus because we do not have that longing to know him to know him to have more thirst more longing for him. And if you don't have that longing 1:03:09 and if it is decreasing now you can be sure something else has replaced that replaced Jesus in in your heart. That's how I want to judge myself. Lord, I don't want to lose that longing. I want to have that longing for you 1:03:29 to know you. And I know if something else if that longing is decreasing, I know something else is trying to take that place trying to come above my longing for Christ. See that. What is it 1:03:47 that is trying to take the place of place above Christ? That takes away the longing for Jesus Christ. I've read a prayer of a very godly man, A.W. Tozer. And he said 1:04:09 he said, "I'm Lord, I'm ashamed of my lack of desire. But I want to want thee. I want to want you. I long to be filled with longing. I thirst, Lord, to be more thirsty still. 1:04:28 Show me your glory." Show me your glory. I want to long for you, Lord. Is your longing for the word of God increasing or decreasing? If your prayer time with the Lord is 1:04:47 increasing or decreasing if it is decreasing, you know the reason. See, we can do a lot of things in the church without any longing. Even Bible reading, even prayer, you can do as routine 1:05:05 without any longing for Jesus. You can do You can do so many things in the church. You can be very active in doing a lot of work in the church without longing for Jesus. So, doing a lot of work in the church, being accepted by the elders, that's not a 1:05:18 mark that you have a longing for Jesus. It may not be. Cry for that, Lord. I want to have more thirst for you. I want to have more longing for you. But when things become routine in our 1:05:37 life, we will not make any progress. It will be just like the merry-go-round. You'll be running faster and faster and faster, but you will not grow if that longing is missing. It is that longing 1:05:55 a longing for Jesus that leads any person to a personal devotion to him to your pure and simple devotion to him. That longing. Let that be your heart. Pray, "Lord, I don't want to lose that longing. At any cost, Lord, I don't want to lose that 1:06:13 longing. I don't want any idols in my life to take away that longing. I don't want any sin, Lord, to to quench that longing for Jesus Christ." But if you don't have that longing, that 1:06:30 is a mark of as Faber said, it is ill of all ills. Is the lack of longing. >> [snorts] >> And that paves way for the devil to deceive us like he deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden. That is what Paul says in 2 Corinthians chapter 11:2 and 1:06:47 3. That longing for God when it is removed what is the danger? You can do a lot of things in the church. But if that longing is not there, you'll be following another Jesus. That is what Paul warned. 1:07:05 11 2 [clears throat] Corinthians 11:4. You'll be following another Jesus. You'll be you'll be filled with another spirit, not the Holy Spirit. You'll be believing another gospel. 1:07:29 "Lord, I don't want to keep anything above that longing, Lord. I want to keep you in the first place. I want you to sit on the throne of my heart." I want to show this picture in the last book of 1:07:47 the Bible in the last chapter. Many of you want want the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You want the rivers of living water to flow. You want to drink that living water and the rivers of living water to flow. But I see here a picture of the church 1:08:06 in chapter 22:1. The angel showed John the apostle verse one, "He showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal." >> [snorts] >> That's the picture of the Holy Spirit. You can see the triune God in this first 1:08:21 verse. River of water of life flowing from where? Coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb. As a throne where God is on the throne and the Lamb, 1:08:41 Jesus Christ, on the throne. As a beautiful picture of the church. We sang, "Let be enthroned." Be enthroned. If God the Father is on the throne and 1:09:00 the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, on the throne something flows from the throne. It says, "The river of water of life flowing from the throne." If God is on the throne of your heart if God the Father is on your on the 1:09:20 heart of your the throne of your heart and the Lamb of God who died for you if he is on the throne of your heart the river will flow from that a clear crystal 1:09:36 water living water shall flow. Long for that. God I want to give the throne of my heart. I don't want to ever sit on that Lord. Please fill me 1:09:54 with your power. Open my eyes to see your love. I don't want to sit on that throne myself Lord. I don't want to put myself on the throne. As there are wonderful words in the Psalm 107:30 1:10:13 Psalm 107 He guided the second part. He guided 1:10:39 guided them to their desired heaven. What we desire. What you long for. You want the Lord the Father and this Lamb of God sit on your heart's throne. You want to have a 1:10:57 longing for Jesus. If that is what you desire the Lord will guide you to that desired heaven. But if you want something else uh he will guide you to that place. If you want something on this earth I want to achieve this you have some 1:11:15 earthly ambitions. Well if you go after it the Lord may allow you to have it. But what are the things that we are going to miss? But I be you may have a question. 1:11:31 Will I be able to live this life? Yeah the devil may be telling you right now. Well maybe the person sitting next to me can live. He or she looks to be very whole hearted maybe she can live he can live. 1:11:51 And the devil may say you know you can't live you can't live. You wait. You wait. Don't commit to yourself now. I want to encourage you. What really blessed my heart years ago. I want you to turn to John 14. 1:12:14 John 14 See what the Lord says. This is the words of Jesus John 14 verse 12 >> [snorts] >> John 14 verse 12 Truly truly I say to you he who believes in me 1:12:37 the works that I do he will do also. Greater works than these he will do because I go to the Father. What are the works the Lord is mentioning? >> [snorts] >> And he says underline the word truly truly. He emphasize that I am telling you 1:12:56 truly. Take it personally my dear brother and sisters all of us. The Lord is saying emphasizing truly truly I say to you if you believe in me the works that I do you will do also. What are those work? Not the miracles 1:13:13 not the ministry that he did the life that he lived. The previous words you know if you see that read the previous words he said I do not speak on my own initiative. It's life. Verse 10 I do not speak on my own initiative that life. 1:13:31 How we speak how he spoke. The Father abiding me does his work. How he did things. Not on his own but Father abiding how he spoke how he did things that is what he is talking about. 1:13:48 The works that I do you will do also. I mean how I obeyed the Father how I loved the Father. The Lord says you can also do that. YOU CAN LOVE. YOU CAN OBEY THE FATHER. And he didn't stop with that. 1:14:11 He gave wonderful promise in verse 13. Whatever you ask in my name that will I do. Whatever you ask in my name that I will do. So that the Father may be glorified. 1:14:29 I know we Christians have taken this promise and use this promise to get many many earthly things. Oh Lord you have promised that whatever you ask my name give me good admission for my children. Give them a good marriage partner. 1:14:44 Give them a good job. But what is the context in which the Lord gave this promise Lord Jesus gave this promise? In the context of living like him loving the Father like him obeying the Father like him. And he said truly truly I say to you you 1:15:00 can do that. And for live that life to live that life to love the Father like I love to obey the Father like I obeyed whatever you ask in my name I'll do it. And the Lord has to repeat it again the 1:15:19 same thing again in the next verse. Verse 14 If you ask me anything in my name I'll do it for you. What a wonderful promise. And now the question what should I ask? What should I ask? He gives a hint what I should ask what 1:15:43 you should ask the next verse. The Lord said if you love me you will keep my commandments. If you love me oh that's the secret. So what should I ask? What is it that that makes me not obey 1:16:01 his commandments? I don't love him. You love somebody and you do whatever that person ask you to do. And that's true. The person whom you love the most whatever he or she tells you to do we do 1:16:19 it gladly it will not be a burden at all. And that is what the Lord is saying if you love me you will keep my commandments. So what do I need? I need love. Can I manufacture that love? Can I produce that love by myself? 1:16:44 That won't be possible at all. We cannot produce that love. We can only grit our teeth and try to obey the commandments but that is not the way. If you love me you will keep my commandments. So how can I have that love? 1:17:01 Jesus he knew our heart and he knew our weaknesses. And he knew what we need. And he knew that you cannot produce that love. And that is why he said in the next verse. Okay I understand. I'll ask the Father. I know your need. 1:17:18 I'll ask the Father. You cannot produce that. You need a helper. He will give you another helper the Holy Spirit. And he will be with you forever. And on that day when he was telling Holy 1:17:38 Spirit has not come into our hearts because come into anybody's heart because blood of Christ was not available to cleanse our hearts of all our sins. But the Lord said one day he will come inside you. And what he will do? 1:17:55 When he come inside? And what happens when he come inside? We read that in Romans chapter 5 verse 5. And what do we need what we need to ask? The love of God. The love for God verse 5. Hope does not disappoint 1:18:15 because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit was given to us. Holy Spirit he he pours that love of God into our heart. He shows us the love of Christ. 1:18:34 And now out of that love Paul says the love of Christ constrains me. Love of Christ constrains me not to hurt God. 1:18:51 It constrains me to obey him. It is not oh I hear a message today I want to obey it. No it is not driven by messages. It is driven by love. That is what Jesus said I'll give you a helper. And this is a wonderful promise. 1:19:16 Verse 19 You know what the Lord said? Verse 19 the second part. When I read this, my eyes opened. The Lord said, as I felt as if he's saying to me, 1:19:32 verse 19, last part, because I live, you will live also. Because I live this life through the power of the Holy Spirit, he was not talking about resurrection. 1:19:51 He was not yet crucified. That This the Lord said before crucifixion. Because I live, because I live this life, because I I obey I could obey the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit. Because I live this life, put your name there, brother, sister. 1:20:11 You will also live. Jesus is saying to you, because I live this life, because I live this life through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can also live through the power of the Holy Spirit. What a wonderful promise, what a 1:20:24 wonderful thing. The Lord can set your heart on fire. Brothers and sisters, last two, three days, we we heard the Holy Spirit speaking to you to turn your hearts to the Lord. 1:20:43 Those of you are not born again, turn your heart to the Lord who is on the cross, who died for you. Away from the world, away from the flesh, having the right 1:21:02 value system, and surrendering ourselves completely to him. Shall we bow our head and pray? Father, we thank you 1:21:19 for this commandment, Lord, to turn our attention to you. Lord, we want to surrender everything. We don't want to keep anything for ourselves and lose the purpose 1:21:38 that you have planned for us, Lord. I pray for all these young brothers, sisters, Lord. I pray, Lord, that you will give them a longing, a longing for Jesus above every other thing, Lord, in their life. 1:21:55 You know their hearts cry. How they desire to be filled in the Holy Spirit. I pray, Lord, that you will fill them with your Holy Spirit. That they will have you, the Father, and Lamb of God, Jesus, enthroned in their hearts. 1:22:13 As you promised, Lord, the rivers of living water shall flow out of them. Thank you for the wonderful promise, Lord. You said, because I live, you will also live through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. 1:22:26 That your name be glorified. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Thank you. >> [music] 1:23:35 >> Let's sing the song, Give of your best to the master. >> [music] [singing] [music] [music] 1:24:00 [singing] [music] [music and singing] [music] 1:24:19 [singing] [music] [singing] [singing and music] [music and singing] [music and singing] 1:24:48 [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [music] 1:25:06 [singing] [singing] [singing] 1:25:31 [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [music] [music and singing] 1:26:08 [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [music] [music] 1:26:32 [singing] [singing and music] [music] 1:26:54 [singing] [singing and music] >> Thank you, brother Yesudas.
