need it 9:23 when the temporary pleasures of this Earth and the cares and the deceitfulness of riches who try to press in and you will dig deep and find fruit from that root that is Jesus himself like us to learn new song it's a very 9:40 old song but it's a new one to most of us let's look at the words before we sing it I have joy in my soul as I walk Lord with thee there's a Heavenly music in me you know if you find that there's a lack of Praise if you find that it's 9:52 difficult to praise him ask God to pour out his Spirit within you a spirit of praise and unless that song songs of praise fill my day as I walk on the way that you've chosen and planned just for me do you know that Jesus God has planned your 10:05 father in Heaven has planned your day today tomorrow every day of your life he wrote it in your in his book every day he's written it so you don't there's no reason to complain or be mournful or sad or be cast on because 10:18 God has planned a perfect day for you if you you really is Abraham really your father what do you think someone now if you read your Bible 21:20 carefully you'll see that well first of all you have a physical father here on Earth and then you have a Heavenly Father in Heaven God is your father but the Bible does say that Abraham is a father like a type to all who believe so 21:32 when we sing Father Abraham what we're saying he's not he's around really Our Father we have one father that's our Father in heaven but if you believe God just like Abraham did even if you are a hundred years old and you haven't had 21:44 any children God says you're going to have children if you believe God for that which seems impossible then you're proving you're like Abraham in that sense so that's what we mean by the song and that's why we'll praise him and 21:55 that's why he's given us arms to praise him and legs to praise him um um okay let's sing this one fruit of the spirit yep yes spread out spread out you guys know the drill uh the fruit of the spirits not a banana 22:13 the fruit of the spirit's not a banana if you wanna be a banana you might as well hear it cause the fruit is love joy peace faces goodness faithfulness gentleness and singing with you that there's a Simplicity there's a 26:03 child likeness that child Madness about God that Jesus said you want to know what heaven is like look at the children [Music] here's an old hymn would like to sing again as we think about Jesus as the source of our only joy 26:21 you know we sing a lot of songs in this in this uh church family and speak about Jesus as our only joy all in all may not but thee my thoughts employ and often when I stand up here and sing I think Lord is that really true 26:36 it's so easy so easy to sing these songs here and for the melody to sound good and to lose sight of it if it's the longing of your heart that Jesus will be the endless source of purest Joy that's what I'm after family I'm after Jesus being the endless source 26:55 of purest Joy I don't want that joy to be mixed with any pleasure here on this Earth any satisfaction any anything that I see here or experience here on this Earth if the Lord wants to take it away that's fine I want Jesus to be the 27:07 endless source of purest Joy if that's the longing of your heart even if it hasn't been so up to this point if you've got to be honest with yourself say Lord I don't find your word exciting I don't find praying uh to you exciting I find 27:20 so many else other things exciting make it to your prayer this morning Lord but I want this life he who drinks from the water that I will give Jesus said will never thirst again you won't thirst for the things of this world if you drink the water you don't 27:35 have to come up with it yourself come and drink of his wine understand were we just saying Lord I'm dead to the world and I'm living in thee and I have joy with thee that's not mixed with any Joy from this Earth 30:42 I'll be honest with you I find that's the hardest thing I enjoy Jesus but sometimes it's mixed in with a little bit of enjoyment of something else now God has really given us all things to Joy on this Earth but not in a way that 30:54 corrupts my joy in Christ alone which means that if he was to take it all away everything on this Earth if he was to take it away I prove that my my joy is not an alloy Joy because he can take it all
