Do not be anxious about anythingWe find rest and peace by taking our worries to God rather than leaving our minds empty and vulnerable to anxiety.
Third distraction: Money and wealthProverbs warns us not to weary ourselves to gain wealth, as the temptation to chase money or obsess over possessions can easily choke out our devotion.
Fourth distraction: Obligations and busynessLife's endless obligations related to work, home, and church can easily make us busy and worried about many things instead of the one necessary thing.
Martha and the one necessary thingJesus gently rebuked Martha for being worried about many things when only one thing was necessary, serving as a warning against wasting our lives on lesser pursuits.
Withstanding Satan's distractionsSatan uses religion, problems, money, and busyness to rob believers of their love for God, but by His grace we can withstand these traps and keep our love alive.
