0:00 Once again, we want to look at the Word of God to see what the Lord would have us do in this new year. I was thinking particularly about certain things that the New Testament says 0:29 we must do always. And always means 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, 366 days in a leap year. 0:54 So, all the time, there are certain things that the New Testament says we should do. There are a few references to always in the Old Testament, but nobody could keep it. But now, because we have the Holy Spirit, we can keep these words. 1:20 Now, many people take a new year resolution saying this year I will do these things. And most of them, by the 15th of January, it's all gone. Most of them, by the 15th of January, they can't keep it anymore. So, I am not asking you to make any resolution today. 1:40 I'm not asking you to make any resolution today. I am asking you to look at these verses and make it a prayer. In the first sermon that Peter preached, the gospel on the day of Pentecost. He quotes this verse that this is how Jesus lived on the earth. 3:25 He set the Father before him always. So, that means Jesus was always conscious wherever he went, whatever he did. But the Father is here. He cried in front of me. And you know that makes a tremendous difference. 3:47 And here is a good thing we can pray to God. And here is a good thing we can pray to God. Number one, new year prayer. Father, please help me to keep Jesus in front of me always this year. Whenever I'm talking to somebody that in front of me is Jesus, and then I talk to that person in Jesus' presence. 4:10 Think about a difference it will make in your home if you talk to your wife and your husband in the presence of Jesus. Even if an ordinary believer is sitting in your home, you find a different way you speak to your husband or wife. 4:32 If you don't want Jesus to be in your house all the time. Don't you want Jesus to be in your home all the time? And wherever you go, and you talk to people in the bus, or the train, or so many people are selfish and angry. 4:54 If you ride the scooter on the roads, and people are not following the rules. Or people are sitting in your office and cracking dirty jokes or gossiping. Or when you visit your unconverted relatives. Or when some television program is coming up which Jesus will not watch. 5:20 What a difference it can make in your life if you say, I want to set the Lord before me. Always this year. 24 hours a day. 24 hours a day. I want to go to sleep in the Lord's presence. And if you do like this every day, you'll find even your dreams become better. 5:44 Dirty dreams, fearful dreams will all go. When you sit in front of a computer young people, set the Lord in front of you. And you will not go to some of those dirty sights that pollute your mind. 6:07 You must practice the presence of the Lord all the time. Now, in the beginning, it will be difficult. Everything is difficult. Because you try to learn driving a car. Or even little children driving a cycle, they find it difficult. 6:26 Or learning how to swim. Or learning how to use a computer. Everything is difficult in the beginning. Or learning a new language. But after some time, it becomes easy. People learn how to type without even looking at the keyboard. 6:48 Or they swim so happily. By practice. So, if we practice, Lord, I want to recognize your presence in front of me all the time. And when we practice, Lord, I want to recognize your presence in front of me all the time. In the beginning, it will be difficult. 7:07 But over a period of time, by the end of the year, you'll find it so much easier. But in some ways, you'll find it so easy. So, make this one of the main points of your prayer for this year. And in the beginning, it will be difficult. 7:19 But over a period of time, by the end of the year, you'll find it so much easier. I want to live in your presence every moment of every day. I want to set the Lord before me always. But you know, when you set the Lord before you always. 7:39 And when you set the Lord before you always. It says He supports you. And your heart is filled with joy. And your tongue sings His praises. And everything will go well with you. And everything is mentioned there in Psalm 16, quoted here. 7:55 There are many results when we live in the Lord's presence. The Bible says in His presence there is fullness of joy. You can't have that if you're not in the Lord's presence. So, that's the starting point for everything. 8:13 And remember, the main purpose of the fullness of the Holy Spirit is to bring us into the presence of the Lord all the time. So, bring the Spirit of heaven right down into our heart. So, bring the Spirit of heaven right down into our heart. 8:29 The Holy Spirit comes from heaven. The Holy Spirit comes from heaven. He's got the aroma of heaven about Him. And when He comes and fills our heart, He brings the aroma of heaven. And when we live in the Lord's presence. 8:44 Our lives will become more heavenly. Then, that means that our God expects us to look at the life of Paul as an example. Jesus said, follow me. And Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ. 9:48 Paul said that in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 1. And later on, he says in Philippians 3 verse 17. That follow us who are an example for you. Not only me, but others like me. So there are certain things we can look in the life of the Apostle Paul and learn. 10:11 Because we know that his life was so effective for God. And he has one of those secrets of his life. He has one of those secrets of his life. Acts 24 verse 16. I do my best to keep a clear conscience always before God and before men. 10:36 He says, because of this. He says, because of this. That means in verse 15 he is saying, I know there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous one day. Do you believe that there will be a resurrection of the Godly people and the ungodly people? 11:03 I think if you are a Christian, you will say definitely. And I ask you then, what do you do about it? He says, I don't do anything about it. I am just waiting for it. That is the difference between you and the Apostle Paul. 11:23 He believed it. And he says, because of this I do something. I don't just sit around waiting for the resurrection. I am wanting to be in the resurrection of the righteous. How can I be in the resurrection of the righteous? 11:42 How can I be in the resurrection of the righteous? We have so many theories propounded by preachers today. 25 years ago, you asked Jesus to come into your heart. So you will automatically be in the resurrection of the righteous. 11:55 25 years ago, you will be in the resurrection of the righteous. 25 years ago, you will be in the resurrection of the righteous. We opened to correction from scripture. A lot of ideas you have got from preachers are not according to the word of God. 12:10 Many Protestants criticize Roman Catholics saying, so many things they teach are not in the Bible. I can show you so many things which Protestants and Pentecostals also teach, which are not in the Bible. Which are not in the New Covenant, in the New Testament. 12:37 And here they go to the Old Covenant which God gave Israel to find support for what they are teaching. How did Paul wait for the resurrection of the righteous? He says, I believe there will be a resurrection of the righteous. 12:59 And I want to be in that resurrection. And what do I do? And I say, Paul, do you have to do that in order to be in the resurrection of the righteous? And Paul, do you need to do this in the resurrection of the righteous? 13:21 He says, yes. How can I be in that resurrection if I have a bad conscience? Do you believe that? Are you today ready for the resurrection of the righteous? I can find out. You've got a clear conscience before God and before men. 13:41 Is there any sin that you know in your life that you have not confessed to God? It's very easy to have a clear conscience. And it's very easy to have it all the time. You know, people say, oh, that's a big strain to always keep a good conscience. 14:02 People say, oh, that's a big strain to always keep a good conscience. Let me give you an example. Suppose you tell your little boy who was playing around in the grassy field barefoot. If you don't lose your tongue, then your tongue will fall asleep. 14:15 And if you hold it down. If you ever get a thorn, then pull it out. If you get a thorn, then you'll get out of it. And he says, mommy, if it gets into my foot five times. Pull it out five times. Suppose he says, oh, that is a big burden. 14:33 All the time I have to keep pulling out the thorn out of my feet. And he says, oh, that is a big burden. All the time I have to keep pulling out the thorn out of my feet. And he says, my son, you'll destroy your feet otherwise. 14:42 Is that a burden to pull out a thorn as soon as it gets into your foot? Can you stop and pull it out again? You wait one minute. You don't even wait one second. You stop everything and pull it out. You stop everything and pull it out. 14:57 And after some time, if some other thorn gets in. You stop and pull it out again. This is the meaning of keep a good conscience. This is the meaning of keep a good conscience. You know, as long as we live in the world, we cannot avoid falling into some sin. 15:11 We may not fall into conscious deliberate sin. God will give us grace to overcome that. But accidentally, we can slip and fall. Just like even after we have learned to walk and are steady on our feet, still, when we are old, we can accidentally fall. 15:31 Even if you are a strong 20-year-old boy, young man, you can trip and fall anytime. So, in this world, it's very easy to be polluted by sin. And this place, it's a very easy to be polluted by sin. 15:52 Let me accidentally, without even planning it, you just spoke a rude or an angry word to somebody. And then, if you don't do it, you don't do it. Immediately, you feel bad. But you don't just feel bad. You don't just feel bad. 16:06 Confess it to God. Lord, I'm sorry. And ask forgiveness from that person whom you hurt. And if you do that, you will get victory over those sins that defeat you. That's like pulling out the thorn immediately. That's the meaning of keep your conscience always clear. 16:24 And if you do that, you will get victory over those sins that defeat you. So, here is a good prayer to pray. Lord, about this year, I need to do what I've never done before. Let me to keep my conscience always clear. 16:46 I don't want to wait till the night to confess my sins. If my sins in the morning, let me confess it immediately. In Ephesians chapter 4, it says there, don't let the sun set on your anger. That's a very important word. 17:09 In Ephesians chapter 4. Do not let the sun set on your anger. Verse 26. You do not let the sun go to the sun. In those days, people used to go to sleep when the sun set. There was no electricity. So, what he's saying is, before you go to bed, settle everything. 17:31 So, what he's saying is, before you go to bed, settle everything. If you hurt your wife or husband, you'll ask forgiveness and then go to bed. Sunset is the outer limit. But, wholehearted believer doesn't wait till sunset to remove the thorns from his feet. 17:49 No, you immediately take it out. No, if you have got angry at 9 o'clock in the morning, you settle it before it is 1 minute past 9. Whatever sin. 18:18 You are a dirty thought looking at something. You always keep your conscience clear. Somebody asks you why. Say what Paul said. Paul says, I want to be in the resurrection of the righteous. I don't want to be in the resurrection of the ungodly. 18:37 I don't want to be in the resurrection of the ungodly. Number 3. Jesus said in Luke chapter 18 and verse 1. Luke 18. Man ought to pray always. Now, many of you may have read stories of men of God who prayed for 2 hours or 4 hours or 6 hours every day. 19:01 I don't still used to read that. I'll tell you my testimony. But I always used to discourage me. Because I found I couldn't do it. Because I did not want to do it. And I used to condemn myself. Look at this man of God. 19:21 You spend 6 hours in prayer every day. When I try to do that, my mind is wandering here and there. And I did not want to do it. And my mind is here and there. Then as I grew up and got to know the Lord better. As I grew up and got to know the Lord better. 19:37 I found that nowhere in the Bible does it say you must pray for 6 hours in a day. You don't have to know the Bible. That means 24 hours a day. That means 24 hours a day. That means 24 hours a day. So that doesn't mean we should not have times of private prayer. 19:55 Jesus said lock the door and don't let anybody see you and go and spend some time in prayer. But how do other people know what this man of God is doing? Because Jesus said you must not tell anybody how much you are praying. 20:13 I don't want to judge anybody. I don't want to judge anybody. But I say how do other people discover how long you pray unless you tell them. But I don't want to judge anybody. How do other people know how long you pray unless you tell them? 20:24 And Jesus said he must not tell anybody. And I don't want to judge anybody. I want to obey Jesus. And I am not here to judge another man of God. But I want to obey Jesus. Two things. Jesus said pray always. And secondly he said when you pray privately don't tell anybody about it. 20:43 And I don't want to judge anybody. Those are the commands that I get from Jesus. And that's what I want to obey. I disagree with a lot of things that I find Christians preach. Because I don't find them in the Bible. And this is not the only thing. 21:00 This is not the only thing. Any other areas. I always tell people show it to me in scripture I will do it. I don't just say this is the Bible and then ignore it. This is the word of God and ignore it. This is the word of God and they don't go according to this. 21:15 They go according to the testimony of some man. They say this is the word of God and they don't go according to this. They go according to the testimony of some man. I say this is the word of God and I try to obey it. I say this is the word of God and I try to obey it. 21:30 How often does the Bible say we must pray? What does the Bible teach? How do you pray? What do you say? What do you say? See one more place where Jesus said something. Luke 21 verse 36. Luke 21 verse 36. He says keep on the alert always and pray. 21:48 Sarva prasangi pratna karay jaagrut raha. Always. Sarva prasangi. Always be alert and pray. Sarva prasangi jaagrut raha. Not two hours a day or six hours a day. Don taas nahi saaha taas nahi. Whenever Jesus spoke about prayer he always said always. 22:04 Yeshu jama kadhi pratne vishai manai cha to manai cha sarva da. Now let's see what the Holy Spirit says. Ata pavitra atma kaay man to hai bhaguya. You know the epistles are written by the Holy Spirit. Patra pavitra atma ane li le aahe. 22:15 That is as good as the words of Jesus because the Holy Spirit is also God. Aani Yeshu cha vachna sarkha chahe karan pavitra atma sudha deva hai. Ephesians 6 verse 18. Ephesians 6 verse 18. The Holy Spirit says through the Apostle Paul. 22:27 The Holy Spirit says through the Apostle Paul. Pray always in the Holy Spirit. Sarva prasangi aatma cha prayer nene pratna karan. How often should we pray? He doesn't say pray in the spirit for two hours a day. Tumharat nahi pavitra atma hai dhon taas pratna karan. 22:41 Kiva 8 taas. Pray always. Sarva prasangi. And then another place in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5. I am just trying to show you these verses to show how many ideas we have got which are not in the Bible. 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 17. 23:00 Pray without seizing. Always. And it says in verse 18 this is the will of God for you. And it says in verse 18 this is the will of God for you. How many more verses do you need to know what the Bible says about prayer? Let me tell you there is not a single verse which says you must pray for two minutes or two hours or eight hours. 23:22 Now you can choose to spend little time in prayer whether two hours or six hours or that's up to you. Or all night perhaps like Jesus did once. 23:42 But you cannot make that as a command for people. But you cannot make that as a command for people. You must only say one thing. Pray always. Otherwise you are making a new law which is not in the New Testament. Now we need to understand what does it mean to pray always. 23:58 But what does it mean to pray always? Does it mean we must be on our knees always? No, because Jesus himself was not like that. No, Jesus himself was not like that. Prayer is an expression of our dependence upon God. We will build our dependence upon God. 24:13 Lord, I need your help. Lord, I need your help. But I didn't need his help. I won't pray. My God doesn't need his help. I won't pray. It is saying, Lord, I can do nothing without you. It is saying, Lord, I can do nothing without you. 24:24 And I am praying saying, Lord, I can do everything if you give me your power. And I pray, saying, Lord, I can do nothing without you. And I pray, saying, Lord, I can do everything if you give me your power. 24:47 And I pray, saying, Lord, I can do everything if you give me your power. And I pray, saying, Lord, I can do everything if you give me your power. Prayer is an expression of our dependence upon God. And prayer is an expression of our dependence upon God. 25:00 Shall I have that four hours a day? No, 24 hours. Is there something that you can do 24 hours? Which you are doing? Breathing. Don't you breathe 24 hours a day? You're not always conscious that you're breathing. You're not always conscious that you're breathing. 25:22 How many times you may take this little deep breath exercise, you'll be conscious. Sometimes you'll be conscious. Otherwise, it's automatic. Otherwise, it's automatic. So, prayer also must become like that. A constant dependence on God that is there all the time in you. 25:42 And prayer is also that you will be able to give us the same place. It's not just repeating and making a big shopping list and giving it to God. Lord, give me this, give me this, give me this, give me this.
