Remember, this is a man who has got no Bible, no preacher, no church. Only his knowledge of God is from his conscience. If I am still a young man considering marriage, then I can look at different girls and say, shall I choose this one or that one? Job 31:1 Not to lust after them, 11:28 but shall I choose this one or that one to get married to? Job 31:1 So then you have to look at different girls to see whom you want. But once you are married, why do you have to look at other women then? 11:51 I mean, if they come to talk to you, you have to look at them. But otherwise, why do you have to look at some woman walking down the street? There's no need. Job 31:1 But we are tempted. Job was also tempted. He was a man just like anybody. 12:09 And so he says, when some pretty woman was walking down the road, He says, I made a legal agreement with my eyes. 12:29 This covenant means like you sign a document in a court. I made an agreement with my eyes. I am a married man. I will not look at any other woman with any lust. 12:55 Who told him that? He didn't have Matthew chapter 5. He never heard Jesus saying, if you lust with your eyes, you are committing a sin. Today, people have that word in the Bible. They still don't obey it. They hear about it again and again in CFC conferences. 13:15 They still don't obey it. But here is a man who had no conference. No Matthew chapter 5. No Bible. No preacher. But he still felt it's wrong. 13:35 How is that? There are many things we learn by the fear of God, which you don't even need a Bible for. If I fear God, 13:55 it is more important to fear God than even to study the Bible. is the fear of God that keeps us away from sin, not studying the Bible. The devil has studied the Bible fully. He doesn't stay away from sin. 14:18 Job had no Bible and he stayed away from sin. Many of you have heard so much from the Bible so many years, and you still sin. So what can we learn from Job? That you don't stay away from sin by listening to many conferences and messages. 14:40 There are some people who say like this. Brother, I have to go to the Sunday meeting every week, otherwise I will fall into sin. That is a very poor way of staying away from sin. 15:01 It's like saying every one week I have to go to the doctor to get an injection. How many of you would like to go to a doctor every week of your life to get an injection? If you follow the laws of health, you don't have to go to a doctor for years. 15:25 So, if you always have to go to the meeting and then only you are kept from sin, that is not the best way. That is good but it's not the best way. The best way is Job's way. He feared God. He turned away from evil. 15:48 He says for example in verse 24. 21, 24. I don't put my confidence in gold or make my trust in fine gold. So, so many times we have taught in the church, don't put your trust in money. 16:10 Use money but don't depend on money. Depend on God. Now, who taught Job that? He had no Bible. He came to no conference. But he said I will not trust in gold. 16:32 because he feared God. He knew things that other people did not know. See for example something else. In verse 29. In Job chapter 29. 16:52 Job chapter 29. He says in verse 15. I was eyes to the blind, feet to the lame. I was father to the needy. And verse 13. The blessing of the one ready to perish came upon me. I made the widow's heart sing for joy. 17:24 Who taught him to care for the poor? You know the blind, the lame, the needy, the widows. These are the people who are on the outer fringes of society. 17:45 These are not in the center of the rich, famous people. These are the people who are the poor and despised by the world. God says I am the God of the fatherless. I am the God of the widows. 18:08 I am the God of the orphans. I am the God of strangers. Those people whom others don't care for. Do you seek to have fellowship with people who are not big in the world? When I was a young Christian. 18:34 Just a new Christian, 21, 22 years old. I did not know much about Christian churches. I never even knew what Pentecostal churches. But I knew there are so many churches. So, I made little investigation about these churches. 18:55 And in every church I found, if anybody has got a big job, he will be on the board member or the elder of that church. And the police officer, he will definitely be an elder or board member. 19:20 Some big company chairman, he will definitely be on the board. Some poor carpenter or plumber, even if he is God fearing, he will not be an elder. Every church, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, anything. 19:48 So, I discovered all these people have different doctrines. But when it comes to this, they honor all those who are rich and big in the world. Now, I never, I was a young man, I was never thinking of starting any church. 20:07 But I felt in my heart, there is something wrong here. And that is why the blessing of God is not there. Because God is the God of the orphans and the fatherless and the widows and the strangers. 20:29 So, Job realized that. So, he would care for the blind and the lame and the weak people in society. So, when a person fears God. Even if he doesn't know the Bible. He automatically comes to a very Godly life. 20:52 And that is what you see in the book of Job. For example, telling lies. He says in Job 31 verse 5. If I have walked with falsehood or my foot has hastened after deceit, then Lord God judge me. 21:21 I have been, I have not told lies. Or, verse 9, if my heart has been enticed by a woman or I go and visit my neighbor when he is not there. You know, there are believers who do that. 21:44 Look at other people's wives. There are believers like that. Job was very careful. Job was very careful. If the man is not there, I will not visit that home. 22:07 I have followed that rule for 40 years, all the years of CFC. And then he says something else. Verse 13. If I have despised the claim of my male or female slaves, then let God judge me. 22:27 I have learned one thing through my life. When we had small children, we used to have people helping in our house. And today we don't have, but those days we had to help my wife. 22:54 He never called them servants. They were always helpers. And just like Job says, it says they have a claim and I must not despise it. I learned something that the way I treat the people who work for me, God will treat me in the same way. 23:25 If I am good to people who work for me, God will be good to me. Because they are lower than me in society. 23:45 And I am lower than God. And the way I treat people lower than me in society, God will treat me. And I want to say to you. God has not been good to many of you. 24:06 Because you have not been good to people who are under you. Think about it. Are you good to people? 24:26 I ask people this question. Okay, you get a monthly salary from your office. But aren't you happy that once a year you get a bonus also? That is not your salary. That is an extra. 24:49 What about your servant? Does your servant girl or lady also get a bonus from you? Do not pay sir. We can be so legalistic towards the people who work for us. 25:12 Very tight-fisted and calculating. And that is why God is also very tight-fisted and pours drops of water upon you. 25:32 I will tell you honestly, I don't get drops of water. I stand under a river. A waterfall. That is flowing through me. 25:52 I never want to be tight-fisted towards anybody. You know, if I give a teaspoon to somebody, God will also give me a teaspoon of blessing. That is the reason so many people are spiritually poor. 26:14 Don't you want to be spiritually rich? Learn from Job. Let me show you something else. Verse 33 Have I covered my transgression like Adam and hid my iniquity in my bosom? 26:37 See, how did he know about Adam? Genesis is not written yet. But... One tradition came down from Adam and Seth and Enoch and all the way down to Job. It is true. Adam covered his sin. Adam covered his sin. Adam covered his sin. 26:56 How did he cover his sin? How did he cover his sin? By blaming his wife. Job says, I won't do that. I will not do that. I will not do that. So, there are many things I find in the book of Job which he could understand without even knowing the Bible. 27:25 So, I have learned something. Even if you don't know the Bible. If you fear God. You will know what pleases God. But now we have a Bible, it is good to know that also. 27:47 But to understand the Bible, you must fear God. Only by fearing God, we can understand his ways. And you must be humble. There are two things very, very important that Job had. 28:09 Fear God and humility. See one example here. In the book of Job. We read how in chapter 29 verse 15. 28:29 I was eyes to the blind. What does that mean? Job was one of the richest men. He was like a prince and a ruler in the city. And he saw one poor blind man walking with a stick. 28:54 This is almost like the ruler of that city. Job. He goes to the blind man and says, "Where do you want to go?" See, I am trying to find my way to this place. Come, I will take you there. 29:14 Amazing man. It requires real humility to be like that to some blind person. If you are another beggar, you can do that. That is not a great thing. But when you are like a king. To be like that. 29:35 If you are an elder brother in a church. And you care only for the more important people in your church. You have not understood God. You must care for the weakest. And the poorest. And even the little children. Even if it means a lot of inconvenience to you. 29:58 I said that to the Lord many years ago. Because the Lord said to me when he called me. I am calling you to be my servant. 50 years ago he called me when I was working in the Navy. And he said to me. 30:20 If you are to be my servant. You also have to be the servant of all men. You have to be the servant of all men. You have to be the servant of all men. You have to be the servant of all men. So I said okay. So Job feared God. 30:38 And so he did not think he was such a big man. That he cannot help a poor blind man. So. In the book of Job chapter 1 verse 1. I want you to see something here. There are many things written about Job. Just see. 31:00 Blameless. Verse 1. The upright. Feared God. Turned away from evil. Seven sons. Three daughters. In those days wealth was not counted by bank account but by the number of animals you have. And the number of animals you have. 31:28 Sir. Seven thousand sheep. Three thousand camels. Five hundred yoke of oxen. Five hundred female donkeys. And very many servants. So that he was we can say the richest. 31:48 Of all the men in that area. And. One day the Lord. Talks to Satan. The Lord said to Satan in verse 8. 32:08 Have you considered my servant Job? No. I want you to compare. What God says. With all those things we read in the first three verses. Out of all the things we read in the first three verses. 32:30 Does not say anything about verses 2 and 3. Only about the first verse. See what he says. Have you considered my servant Job? I know one like him on the whole earth. Blameless. Uptavan. Fearing God. 32:51 Turning away from evil. Say Lord what about his seven thousand camels? Seven thousand sheep. Three thousand camels. Seven sons. Three daughters. God says. I don't care for all that. 33:11 Do you know that God doesn't care for all your bank account and your business and your prosperity and all that? Not even you can boast about I've got seven sons and three daughters. God doesn't care about that also. He doesn't mention one of those things to the devil. 33:34 Very important to understand that. What can God point out in your life to Satan today? People boast about so many things. Oh. See what wonderful sons and daughters I have. 33:55 See the house I live in or. No. They may not say it but in their mind they think. There are people who look at their house and say yeah God has blessed me with a nice house. They won't say it. They won't say that. They will just think it. 34:13 See what good looking sons and daughters God has given me. They are very clever. They do well in school and college. They learn something from the first book in the Bible. 34:35 That God doesn't even mention that to the devil. So don't glory in those things. Don't even think about those things. This is what God looks for. Are you blameless? 34:55 Are you upright? Are you fearing God and turning away from evil? Even many believers are jealous of others or compare themselves with others. Oh I wish I had a house like that. 35:15 I wish my children were like his children. You don't worry about all those things. God doesn't care for those things. That is all comparison that leads to jealousy. God does not mention those things to the devil. 35:35 Please meditate on that. Three verses written about Job. But only one of those verses God boasts about to Satan. And it is very important to apply that to ourselves. What will God boast about me to Satan? 35:59 Not how smartly I have done my business and earned so much money. Not even what a wonderful church I have built. The Lord says have you seen that servant of mine? That he is a blameless man. 36:23 Have you seen that daughter of mine? Satan have you seen that daughter? With this name living in this address? She always keeps her conscience clear. She always keeps her conscience clear. Fears God. 36:44 Turns away from evil. What your job is and what you earn and no mention. You may be childless. Okay, it doesn't matter. Some people think children are the main thing. Some people think children are the main thing. 37:05 No. No. In the Old Testament it was right. Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of children. Blessed is the man who has got a lot of money and prosperity. God has blessed him. But everything that was physical in the Old Testament is spiritual in the New Covenant. 37:38 In the Old Testament a physical land of Canaan. Today a spiritual land. That's what God gives. A life of victory. In the Old Testament it was physical giants to be killed. Now it is spiritual giants to be killed in our heart. 38:06 In those days it was physical sacrifices, lambs and goats and bulls. Now it says spiritual sacrifices secretly in our heart. Everything physical in the Old Testament is spiritual in the New Covenant. 38:30 Physical wealth, now spiritual wealth. Physical health in the Old Testament, spiritual health in the New Testament. Many physical children in the Old Testament, many spiritual children in the New Covenant. 38:57 If you have not understood this, you are still living in the Old Covenant. And you see that in the book of Job. All these earthly blessings God doesn't mention at all. Isn't it something for a man to boast about if he has been faithful and acquired a lot of money and a lot of good children? 39:21 Nothing wrong. But that's not what God primarily boasts about Job. So please remember this, my brothers and sisters. compare verse 1 with verse 8. 39:45 Same thing. Blameless. Upright. Upright means like these steel rods you cannot bend it. not like a branch that you can bend and break. God has called us to be upright. 40:10 That means the devil cannot bend us. With anything, there are so many ways in which the devil tries to bend us. He came to Jesus and said, you have come from heaven to get all these kingdoms of earth to God. 40:36 I will give it to you. Adam gave it to me 4,000 years ago. It's all mine now. I will give it to you. Just bend a little bit and bow to me. 40:57 That's all. Just a little bit. He said, get away Satan. what a big harvest 55:18 but very few workers everybody is seeking their own how to make money and how to make money so what shall we do shall we say come on go out into the field because we will send
