0:02 [music] >> Our purposes for gathering like this are that we will strengthen >> [clears throat] >> our connection with the head. Think about your own head and your body and how everything that the body needs, whether it's a finger or a toe, a kidney, a 0:21 liver, the intestines, anything, the head supplies all that it needs. And the Bible shows us this picture of Christ the head and us the body here on this earth. And our gatherings, and I pray even when we're away from each other, will be 0:40 like head uh connected to the body. Yes, heavenly Father, we ask that you will open our eyes and the Holy Spirit to be in our midst and to glorify Jesus, that we will be will see more clearly how he provides all that we 0:55 need. We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Well, I pray that that will be so >> [music] >> even during this time. Let a spirit of reverence be in our midst, Lord, a revelation of your presence here in 1:07 our midst. Open our eyes, Lord, to see Jesus. Maybe we [music] can start with this. >> [clears throat] >> It's good to bless the Lord with my hands lifted up and my heart >> [music] >> full of praise with a with mouth full of 1:23 praise with a heart of thanksgiving. I will bless thee, O Lord. Let's lift our hands together to him and [music] sing, "With my hands lifted up >> [singing] >> and my heart filled with praise, >> [music] >> with [singing] a heart of thanksgiving, 1:46 >> [singing] >> Thank [music] you, Lord, for what you've done. I will bless thee, O Lord. >> [singing] >> I will bless thee, [music] O Lord. I will bless [singing and music] 2:05 thee, O Lord. >> [music] >> With a [singing] heart of thanksgiving, [music] I will bless [singing and music] thee, O 2:23 Lord. >> [music] >> The trusting [singing] heart to Jesus clings, nor >> [music] >> any ill forebodes, but at [music and singing] the cross of 2:40 Calvary sings, "Praise God for [singing] lifted loads." Singing I go. Singing [music] I go along life's road, praising the Lord, praising the [singing and music] Lord. Singing I go along life's road, 2:58 for Jesus has lifted my load. >> [music] >> The passing days bring many >> [music] >> cares, fear not, I >> [singing] >> hear him say, >> [music] >> "And when my fears >> [singing] >> are turned to grace, the burden 3:18 >> [music] >> gives away." Singing I [music] go along life's road, praising the Lord, >> [singing] >> praising [music] the Lord. Singing I go along life's [music and singing] road, for Jesus has lifted my load. 3:38 >> [music] >> He tells [singing] me of my Father's [music] love and never slumbering eye, >> [music] >> my everlasting [singing] King above will >> [music] >> all my needs supply. 3:57 Singing I go along life's road, praising the Lord, praising [music and singing] the Lord. Singing I go along life's [music and singing] road, for Jesus has lifted my load. >> [music] 4:16 >> When to the throne of grace I [music and singing] flee, I find the promise true, the mighty [singing and music] arms upholding me will bear my burdens through. >> [music] >> Singing I go 4:35 along [singing] life's road, praising [music] the Lord, praising the Lord. Singing I go >> [music] >> along life's road, for Jesus [singing] has lifted my load. Singing I go >> [music and singing] >> along life's road, 4:54 praising the Lord, praising [music and singing] the Lord. Singing I go along life's road, >> [music] >> for Jesus has >> [singing] >> lifted my load. Oh, that you will walk differently this week, even if you haven't up till this 5:13 point. Like a man, like a woman, like a child who has been set free of a heavy burden Jesus has lifted. [music] Our Lord, thank you again. I will >> [music] >> offer to you, Lord, my life's song. >> [music] 5:32 >> With my words will I give thanks to you. Thanks, his mercies endure. >> [music] >> For your mercies [singing] enduring forever [music] and your kindness [singing] and love 5:51 ever new, so I'll live all [music] my life as a love song [singing] to you. May [music] each note >> [singing] >> be a tribute to you, Savior, and in 6:11 >> [music and singing] >> days full of sorrow, in days full of joy, I will [music and singing] live every day to your honor. >> [music and singing] >> No 6:31 >> [music and singing] >> other shall praise you but you. Just to you shall my song [music] ever be. And I'll [music and singing] join with the chorus >> [music] 6:49 >> in heaven to your >> [singing] >> honor, Lord, for all eternity. So I'll live [music and singing] all my life as a love song to you. May each note >> [singing] [music] 7:09 >> be a tribute to you, Savior, and in >> [music and singing] >> days full of sorrow, in days full of joy, I will [singing] live every [music] day to your honor. And 7:35 at times if my song [music and singing] shall grow quiet, as if >> [music and singing] >> muted by turmoil and strife, Lord, please [music and singing] help and in my 7:52 eyes let me see that that [music and singing] in you alone I find peace and life, >> [music] >> so I'll live all my [singing] life as a love [music] song to you. 8:10 May each note be a tribute to [music and singing] you, Savior, and in days [music and singing] full of sorrow, in days full of joy, >> [singing] >> I will [music] live 8:27 every day to your [singing] honor. So I'll live all [music and singing] my life as a love song to you. May [music and singing] each note be a tribute to you, Savior, and in 8:48 days full of >> [music] >> sorrow, in days full of joy, I will [music and singing] live every day to your honor. >> [singing] [music] [music] 9:11 >> Spend a few minutes in prayer. I hope you meant the words we just sang. It's so easy to sing it, to go along with the music, but [music] I hope that that's the desire of your heart deep within. Lord, every day live for 9:23 your honor alone. Even the everyday seemingly mundane, ordinary, routine things of this earth that we do day in and day out, week in and week out, you want to do it for his honor, for his glory, from him, through him, and to him. 9:40 During these times of prayers to your family, especially if you're a part of the local church, it's not just listening to somebody else pray. He wants to hear you pray. Ask the Lord to fill you with his Holy Spirit so that he will cry out, the Holy 9:53 Spirit himself will cry out within you with those groanings beyond words, too deep for words. Ask him even now, before you begin to pray, "Lord, fill me that the prayer I lift up to you, the songs I lift up to you, will be meaningful." 10:07 The Bible also says that if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear. If there is sin in your heart that's unconfessed sin that [music] your conscience has been pricking you about, the Holy Spirit has been speaking to you 10:20 [music] and you haven't set it right, you haven't confessed it. You've had a casual attitude towards habitual [music] sin. Confess it before the Lord today. The blood of Jesus Christ [music] cleanses us from all sin. There's no reason that not a single 10:34 person here or listening to this prayer cannot stand before the judgment [music] seat of Christ, before the throne of God, completely cleansed, completely forgiven, [music] completely justified right at this moment. >> [music] 10:48 >> Yes, there's a long way to go, a a process of sanctification by which he will conform us fully into the image of Jesus. But right now, at this moment, dear friend, if you have a guilty conscience, [music] there's no reason 11:00 that you should still have it. The blood of Jesus that he shed on the cross for you is that you >> [music] >> can have a clear conscience. Ask him to increase the sensitivity to your conscience. So that throughout the week, when 11:13 [music] you speak unkindly or have a a proud thought or murmur or complain or have or anxious [music] or fearful even for a moment that your conscience is quick to convict you. Ask him and he will do it. He is the one that makes our conscience sensitive. 11:32 Maybe before we pray, we [music] can sing this old hymn of Charles Wesley's. I want a principle within of watchful godly fear. [music] A sensitiveness. You can pull up those words while I read them. A sensitiveness to sin, a sensibility 11:48 [music] to sin. A pain to feel that sin is near. I want the first approach [music] to feel of pride or wrong desire as pride is approaching me or a wrong desire is approaching me. I want to be aware of it before I give in to it. 12:07 I want to be aware of that. A wrong desire. And to catch the wandering of my will which quenches [music] the kindling fire. I want, Lord, a sensitivity so that I no more stray from thee. [music] And no more grieve thy goodness. Verse 12:25 two. Grant me the childlike [music] awe and reverence, I pray, the tender conscience give. A conscience is as sensitive as the apple of an eye, quick as an apple of the eye. O God, my conscience make. [music] Awake 12:43 my soul when sin is near and keep it still awake. [music] Pray with me, dear family, for this. Almighty God of truth and love, to me thy power [music] impart. The mountain from my soul remove, that mountain of pride, that mountain of 12:59 self-seeking, that mountain of self, remove it, Lord, the hardness [music] from my heart. O may the least omission pain my reawakened soul. >> [music] >> The least omission. Awaken reawaken my soul to it, Lord, and drive me to that blood again 13:19 which makes [music] the wounded whole. If you know it, sing with [music] us, otherwise we can learn it together. I want [singing] a principle within >> [music] >> of watchful [singing] godly fear. A sensitiveness [music and singing] 13:43 of sin, a pain [singing] to feel >> [music] >> I want [singing] the first approach to of pride, >> [singing] [music] >> wrong desire. To catch the wandering 14:05 of my will [music and singing] and quench the kindling fire. >> [music] >> From thee [singing] that I no [music] more may stray, no more [singing] 14:24 thy goodness [music] grieve. Grant me [music] the childlike [singing] awe, I pray, the tender [music and singing] conscience give. Quick as the apple 14:44 >> [music and singing] >> of an eye, O God, my conscience [music] make. Awake [singing] my soul when sin is nigh and keep [music and singing] it still awake. Almighty [music and singing] 15:06 God of truth and love, >> [singing and music] >> to me thy power impart. >> [music] >> The mountain [singing] from my soul remove, >> [music] >> the hardness from 15:25 my heart. O may [singing] the least omission [music] pain my reawakened [singing] [music] soul. And drive [singing] me to that blood 15:45 again [music and singing] which makes the wounded >> [music] >> Holy Father, we come to you. Thank you that we can come to you boldly if we have truly been cleansed and washed in the blood of Jesus, there's nothing. The veil is 16:03 rent. We can come boldly to the throne of grace and find mercy and grace for help in time of need. Thank you, Lord, that your mercies endure forever. Great is your faithfulness. You're faithful in mercy, Lord. You are faithful in mercy. 16:17 I pray that not a single person here will miss that this morning of God who is faithful in mercy. We exalt you and praise you and lift you up. You're faithful in every way, Lord. Thank you that when we are humble, you are 16:29 faithful to give grace. When we're tempted, you are faithful to make sure that it's not more than what we are able to bear. Thank you for every way in which you are faithful. You are the almighty God. From you comes every good 16:41 and perfect gift. In fact, everything you give us is good and perfect. You cause all things to work together for good because we love you and you've called us, Lord, not just to live here like everybody else here on this earth. 16:53 You've called us with a purpose. And we want to live, Lord, in view of that purpose that we're not here to go about our mundane lives and just live for the things of this earth, seeking earthly benefits like all the others around us. 17:05 We want that purpose to be fulfilled. We want to say like you did, Lord Jesus, when you that you glorified the Father by accomplishing the purpose for which for which you came down to this earth. You've sent us now, Lord, here on this 17:17 earth. You placed us here with a purpose. The body of Christ, the church, to fulfill a purpose here on this earth. Lord, I pray that not a single one of us here listening to this prayer will miss out on that. Be exalted, Lord, we pray. 17:29 Lift Be lifted up more than you have ever been in this place by our decreasing, by our lower thoughts about ourselves, by our putting our face in the dust and and seeing more clearly how we are absolutely nothing and yet you 17:41 are everything. Worthy art you, the lamb that was slain before the foundations of the world. You are alone worthy. That means we have no worth at all except in you, Lord. Thank you, Lord Jesus. We praise you and exalt you, Father. Be 17:55 exalted. Thank you, Father, that we can come to you and commit our needs to you during this time, Lord, of commitment and consecration and a crying out to you and supplication, Lord. I We pray We lift up anybody who's in a spiritual battle where the devil 18:10 has a foothold in their life, where they're defeated by sin, defeated by bad habits, Lord, or other areas of of lack of spiritual life, lack of the abundant life for which you came to give us. Lord, I pray that you will bind the work 18:22 of Satan and we resist you, Satan, in the name of Jesus and bind your work. Thank you, Lord, that Jesus that the devil is a defeated enemy. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you defeated him permanently on the cross. You disarmed 18:34 him and all of his hosts. They have no power over any child of yours, Lord. Thank you for the protection we have in the name of Jesus. I pray that every one of us will use our shield of faith this week to quench the arts the darts of the 18:47 enemy. That not a single dart that the enemy shoots at us will come in and and affect our spirits through discouragement or heaviness or self-condemnation, Lord. I pray that we will walk in faith this day onwards, Lord, until you come. And may you find 19:02 faith when you come back to this earth. At least at least among us, Lord, that you will find us as men and women and children, as families and as a the church that's leaning on you, leaning on our beloved and walking in faith, 19:14 quenching every dart that the enemy sends at us, Lord. We know that no weapon formed against us can prosper because we have the mighty name of Jesus. That's our our stronghold. The name of the Lord is a strong tower and 19:26 those who run to it are rescued. Lord, I pray that we will use that name today. Not just in prayer, Lord, not just in lip service, but we will know that the name of Jesus has power because it represents you and everything about you. 19:38 You are powerful. You are a fortress. You're a strong tower. Thank you, Lord. May we use that. May we run to you in every situation this week and find shelter and find triumph and that the work of the devil in our lives, his 19:52 efforts, his plans for us will be completely thwarted, completely brought to an end. Thank you. You'll do that. Strengthen our marriages, Lord. I pray you'll knit the heart of every husband and wife here, Lord, in this room and 20:04 listening to this prayer. Knit our hearts together in deeper love that we will truly represent the unity that you and the Father have, Lord Jesus, and the unity, Lord Jesus, that you have with the church, the body of Christ. Knit our 20:16 hearts together, we pray, not through an earthly affection, not through a marriage that's just counting the number of years, but we're experiencing increasing abundant life through your Holy Spirit, and we're experiencing 20:27 Jesus in our homes, Jesus in our marriages. Lord, we want that. Make it so this week. Pray for our children as well, Lord, as we prayed often in this church. We pray again that not a single one of these children will be lost, not a not even one, Lord. 20:40 We claim them in the name of Jesus because you claimed them, Lord Jesus, when you died on the cross. You claimed them for yourself, and I pray that every one of them will have a soft heart, a receptive heart, an honest and a good 20:52 heart to receive the word that that you speak through this church, Lord, that they will receive it in humility and allow it to go into their hearts and bear fruit. That you'll raise up another generation of people who are firebrands 21:03 for you, who will take the church forward, Lord, into the days that are coming before your return. That we will be a pure witness that this church, Lord, and other churches you raise up through that will be a bold witness for 21:14 you, not compromising, Lord, and standing pure and true in the in the day of compromise around us, Lord. I pray you'll do that. Thank you for the young people you've given us, for the children you've given us. Thank you for every 21:26 member of this church, Lord. I pray that our church as a whole also will have deeper unity among us, Lord, brothers and sisters, families being truly knit together, that we will no longer seek our own, Lord, no longer be self-served, 21:38 self-seeking in in our relationship with each other here in this church, but think of the good of the others, Lord, and above all think of your name and your glory and your honor. Hallowed be your name. Let your kingdom 21:50 come. Let your will be done, Lord, we pray. Thank you, Father, for what you've done and for what you will do in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. [music] It's a wonderful old hymn written many hundred years ago. Jesus, the very thought of thee 22:08 >> [music] >> with sweetness fills my breast. But sweeter far [music] thy face to see and in thy presence rest. Ask him to show you his face. He wants to show it to you now. And then we will see [music] him.
