Recognizing that every child is differentEach child responds differently to schooling and discipline, meaning mothers must spend individualized time and adjust their methods for each specific child.
Teaching children respectful speechMothers must actively guide children in how to speak respectfully to others rather than simply telling them what not to say.
The danger of losing our first love for the LordBusy nights and busy days can cause a mother's spiritual life to slacken and her love for the Lord to grow cold, much like the church in Ephesus.
Protecting love for our husbands and childrenMothers must be careful not to let their focus on children overshadow their love and respect for their husbands, nor let frustration make their love grow cold toward difficult children.
Maintaining love for the church family and relativesIt is easy to become so absorbed in one's immediate family that love grows cold toward brothers and sisters in the church, as well as relatives in need.
Keeping a watchful eye while children playMothers should stay nearby and observe when their children play outside to monitor their interactions and make sure they are not being mean or rude.
Teaching children fairness and considerationInstead of showing partiality to one's own child, mothers should guide them to give others a turn and avoid selfish behavior.
