The eye as the lamp of the bodyIf our heart is set on the heavenly treasure of God's notice, our whole body is full of light, but if it is set on man's notice, our whole body is full of darkness.

Repenting from the attitude of Jesus' brothersWe must confess and radically repent of jealousy, choosing instead to eagerly anticipate and celebrate the Lord's work in our brothers' lives.

The ministry of making my brother gloriousLike Joshua and Moses—who wished that all the Lord's people were prophets rather than being jealous—we should embrace the ministry of making others glorious out of a passion for God's name.

Seeking God's glory aloneSeeking credit and being jealous reveals whether we truly have a passion for God's name, prompting us to ask the Lord for grace to be doers of His word and store up treasure in heaven.

Jesus' example of pointing others to greater worksJesus sets the ultimate example, telling His disciples on the night He was betrayed that they would do greater works than Him, showing He was not interested in personal record or glory.
