You are worthy, Lord. You alone are worthy. We want to give you thanks. Here's an old hymn. 4:28 In a song of grateful praise. When the song says above the rest this note shall swell. My Savior, my Jesus, has done all things well. I hope you can say that today. 4:48 I know we can and we'll certainly sing that. That'll be the anthem for all eternity in heaven. Jesus has done all things well. Now in a song of grateful praise. Now in a song of grateful praise. To thee, O Lord, my voice I raise. 5:02 With all thy sins I'll join to tell. And above the rest this note shall swell. This note shall swell. This note shall swell. This note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. 5:22 This note shall swell. This note shall swell. This note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. My Jesus has done all things well. 5:44 How sovereign, wonderful, and free. Has been thy love to sin for thee. Thou saved me from the jaws of hell. My Savior has done all things well. 6:10 And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. This note shall swell. This note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. My Savior has done all things well. 6:36 And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. My Caesar has done all things well. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. 6:48 And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. My Savior has done all things well. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. And above the rest this note shall swell. 8:58 And above the rest this note shall swell. And lasting joy, Lord Jesus found in me. I sigh for rest and happiness, I yearn for them, not Thee. 9:22 But while I pass my Savior by, His love laid hold on me. Now none but Christ can satisfy, none other name for me. 9:43 There's love and life and lasting joy, Lord Jesus found in me. I tried the broken cisterns, Lord, but all the waters failed. 10:05 Even as I stooped to drink, they fled and mocked me as I wailed. Now none but Christ can satisfy, none other name for me. There's love and life and lasting joy, Lord Jesus found in me. 10:37 The pleasures lost I sadly mourned, but never wept for Thee. Till grace my sightless eyes received, Thy loveliness to see. 10:58 Now none but Christ can satisfy, none other name for me. There's love and life and lasting joy, Lord Jesus found in me. 11:22 I hope you know that's true. It's not just a song we sing and raise our hands to or clap along and sing. But there's no satisfaction. Nothing us alone will satisfy ultimately. All the temporary pleasures and satisfactions and the things of this earth, 11:43 every single thing, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life is passing away. Everything that is in the world is passing away. And if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 11:58 We're told in God's word, 1 John 2. So commit your life afresh. In that third verse we sang about how we tried the broken cisterns, we thought we would find pleasure in something else here on this earth, some success that we were pursuing, 12:13 some pleasure, a little bit more money, a little bit more business success, another promotion, something bigger, something bigger, something more that the world tells us we need. And we found that there was no satisfaction in the things of this earth. 12:28 And the cry from hell, from anybody that's there, everybody that's there is this, that the satisfaction of the things of this earth doesn't last. And you can hear that even in the world today. Everybody wants more. Oh, may we find our satisfaction in Christ alone. 12:43 He alone can satisfy. Commit your life afresh to him, dear brother, dear sister, your children, your friend. Commit your life afresh to him this morning. Lay it all on the altar and you'll find joy that lasts forever. Fullness of joy. 12:58 Pleasure is eternal in his presence and at his right hand. Make him the only thing. Make him everything in your life. Let him shine so brightly that all the little stars that have shone in your heart up to this point will be dimmed and darkened by the brightness of the sun. 13:14 Father, we commit our lives to you and we give you thanks and praise and glory and honor. We sang it, Lord, and we mean it. And even if it hasn't always been that way, Lord, up to this point, we want it to be so. We want it to be so that none, we've proved by our lives that none but Christ can satisfy. 13:31 And we give you thanks, Lord, in a song of grateful praise like we've been singing for what you've done. You're worthy of praise, you're worthy of glory and honor, and we exalt you and give you that place, that rightful place that you deserve. 13:44 You purchased us with your blood. We are not our own. We are purchased by the precious blood, not something cheap like gold and silver, but the precious blood of Jesus that you shed, Lord Jesus, to make us your own. And how dare we think that we can do what we want with our bodies, with our minds, with our tongues, 14:01 with our eyes, with our ears, with our ambitions, with our affections, with our goals. Oh, Lord, we surrender them afresh to you today. May you be Lord of all. May you truly be Jesus Christ, the Lord, in our lives, in our deeds, in our words, 14:19 in our thoughts, our ambitions, our affections, and our motives. Be the Lord of them all, Lord Jesus. Thank you. And there alone we'll find eternal life. I pray that we might truly know you, Lord, and we'll make that the ambition of our life, 14:31 to know you more. Not to seek a reputation here on this earth, not to be known in the world, Lord, but be known by you, and to rest in the fact that you know us. We've allowed you to know us. So search my heart, oh God. 14:46 Search my heart, oh Holy Spirit. Come and search my innermost being. Show me if there's anything in me that makes you sad, that grieves you. And I will surrender it. Show me if there's any way, any attitude, or any way of conducting myself this past week 15:00 that's been grieving to you, Lord, and help us to forsake it. Lay it all on the altar. Help me to see, Lord. Show me if there's been any anxiety or worry that's grieved you because of my unbelief. That I might forsake it. 15:13 Never walk in that anxiety or fear or unbelief anymore. Open my eyes to see it, Lord, that I might truly be yours and find freedom. No longer be chained down by fear and discouragement, self-condemnation. Oh, set us free. 15:28 Thank you. Thank you. You will do that. You came to set us free. You said if you set us free, we are truly free. We're not pretending to be free. We're not acting. We're not hypocrites that look like we're free. But we're really set free and that's what we long for, Lord. 15:41 Freedom from the opinions of people. Freedom from the love of this world and love of self and love of pleasure. Oh, and the love of money. Thank you. Thank you. You will do it, Lord. And I pray that in that freedom, you'll find us a consecrated people set apart for you, sanctified, made holy. 15:58 Thank you. You've done that, Lord. We can stand here in your presence because of Jesus, clothed in the righteousness of Jesus. We can lift up hands that have been made holy, Lord, knowing what we have done with those hands, how sinful we've been. 16:09 But you cleanse them and we can lift up our hands and we know that they're pleasing in your sight. What a grace this is. What mercy this is. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lord. We never want to grow tired of saying thank you. 16:20 We pray for any who are defeated by Satan. Any who are in the battle, Lord, and they're losing. And the devil has a foothold in their life or in their marriage or in their home life or in their relationship with somebody else. 16:31 Oh, Lord, will you come and bring peace? You said that you alone are our peace. And when you're in our midst, Lord, there is peace. That's what we long for. I pray you'll help us as much as it lies with us to live at peace with all people. 16:43 That there will be peace in our relationships, peace in our homes. But we long for something even greater, Lord. We long for fellowship that comes to each of us going into the ground and dying. Lord, I pray that you'll give us grace to fall into the ground and cry, to truly take up our cross every day and follow you. 16:59 That through that death and partaking of your death, we might partake of your resurrection life. And we might have fellowship with you and with each other. All do that in our marriages. I pray that our marriages will be a taste of heaven. 17:11 Our homes will be a foretaste of heaven, Lord. Our relationship with our children. When people come into our home, they taste heaven there. That's the longing of our heart, Lord. We've asked you for it and I pray that you'll do it. 17:21 It's only possible by the power of your Holy Spirit. So we open our mouth wide and we lift our head to you and say, pour out your spirit in our midst, Lord. Fill each one of us with an anointing with the power that the apostles received on the day of Pentecost. 17:35 That we might have power to live as you lived here on this earth. We might have gifts to serve each other and to build up your body. Oh, do that, Lord. May we never have high thoughts about ourselves or be satisfied with what you've done in us. 17:47 We thank you for what you're doing in this church, what you've done already. But there are greater things to come, Lord. Smaller places that we can fill. Ways in which we can go more lowly and more humble. That you might be glorified and you might be exalted more. 18:00 That's the longing of our lives, Lord. That you might receive greater glory in this place and in our lives than you've received yet. And it's possible, Lord. We've not even come close to just seeing the tip of the iceberg of the manifestation of your glory in our lives. 18:13 We want more. You said we could see it, Lord, and we want that. That we may be one as you and the Father are one. Lord Jesus, you prayed that prayer for us. And we're coming to you in hope and faith on the basis of that promise. 18:26 That you will fulfill it in our lives. Thank you. Thank you, Lord. We pray for those who are sick. Those who are in any need of physical healing. There are many in our midst that some are not here today. Others who deal with constant pain and suffering. 18:39 Oh, Lord, I pray if it is your will, you will touch them even at this moment. And lay your hands on them, Lord. We don't necessarily even need to lay our hands on them. But you do. You're the healer. You're our maker. You're the one who created us, Lord, from our innermost being. 18:54 You know our frame. You created us wonderfully and fearfully. You fashioned our innermost being. So we thank you for that. Lord, I pray that you will be glorified through the healing work that you will do if it is your will. 19:08 Our bodies are for you. And so we know you are for our bodies. If it is your will that we should carry this until the end of our lives, we pray you'll give us grace. We know we can ask you for that. Your grace is sufficient for us, Lord. 19:18 But if it is your will, I pray you'll heal. Thank you that you are the one that meets our earthly needs. Our eyes are not on our employers or our bank accounts, Lord, or how much is there, how much we've saved up, Lord. 19:29 While we do all of those things, our eyes are on you, the owner, the one who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. All the riches of this world you can supply because Christ is rich far more than anything in this world is rich. 19:40 And our God, you, our God, shall supply all our needs according to Jesus Christ who is rich. Praise you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you made yourself poor that we might become rich. Thank you, Lord, that you are exalted to the highest place there and all authorities have been given to you in heaven and on earth. 19:56 And so, Lord, I pray that you'll give every single one of us a fresh, that mission to go out and make disciples, teaching others to obey what you have commanded us to do obey. Do that, Lord, I pray through us. Thank you. 20:08 You will be glorified in Jesus' name. Amen. We've sung a few songs about Christ already and who he is. Here's another old one. Jesus, the only one, holiest, purest one, the name above all names, exalted thou art. 20:39 Fullness of glory and fullness of majesty, fullness of love and of truth and of love. God bless you. 21:22 encompass me. Call me by name and deliver from home. Lord, hear my earnestly. Lord, lead me on with thee. 21:44 Howe'er and where'er it pleases thee best. Hold me and make me, Lord, teach me thy will, O Lord, while I, a pilgrim on earth, find no rest. 22:14 Thou art the only one, holy as purest one. Give me thy nature, thy pure holy heart. Save from the tempter, spare free from all earthly care. Still to thy glory come, earth I depart. 22:54 Jesus only is our message. Jesus all our theme shall be. We will lift up Jesus ever. Jesus only will we see. 23:14 Jesus only, Jesus ever. Jesus all in all we see. Savior, sanctifier, healer. Glorious Lord and coming King. 23:36 Jesus only is our Savior, all our guilty bore away. Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there's nothing I desire on earth besides thee, Lord Jesus. 27:39 Receive this song as we sing it to you. Jesus, Savior, wonderful Savior, thou art more than life to me. Sing it again. Jesus, Savior. Jesus, Savior, wonderful Savior, thou art more than life to me. 28:02 I will love thee, Lord forever. Thou was crucified for me. With thy blood thou hast redeemed me. Now I'm thine eternally. 28:23 Jesus, Savior, wonderful Savior, thou art more than life to me. Whom have I on earth beside thee? Whom have I in heaven but thee? 28:44 O my Savior, Lord and Master, thou art all in all to me. Jesus, Savior, wonderful Savior, thou art more than life to me. 29:05 Oh, I hope you knew that, Jesus.
