0:06 Praise the Lord. I'm glad to be with you again. The Apostle John in more than one letter, he says, "It's no greater joy he has than to hear that his children are walking in the truth." 0:22 I I believe all of you are. I hope so. walking in the truth which means according to the light that we have. It is God's will that as we grow in the Christian life, 0:39 we have a more and more satisfying relationship with Jesus Christ himself. that our life is not one of many rules and regulations by which we try to maintain our testimony. 0:58 I think in the beginning of our Christian life it is like that we know that we can slip up. So we have certain rules by which we preserve our testimony. But I was thinking of this expression here 1:14 in Romans 10 and verse 4. where it says Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 1:32 Well, that's referring, we know, to salvation is not by works of the law. And the old covenant was abolished and salvation is by faith in Christ. But I was also looking at, you know, scripture has a great depth of meaning 1:51 like a well that never dries up. You draw and then there's more in it to draw again. So I was thinking of it like this. Christ is the end. The law is a life of lot of rules saying you mustn't do this and you must do that. You mustn't do 2:08 this and you mustn't do that. That's what the law is and Christ is the end of that. In other words, Christ is if I really come into a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. I don't really need to have laws which says don't do this 2:27 and don't do that. I come to an end of that. It's quite a strain to live by rules and regulations. I think of many non-Christians I know 2:47 whose lives are far better than the lives of believers I know or those who claim to be believers who are kinder, more generous and uh externally anyway seem to be more loving 3:07 and I think it's because Those believers haven't come to a very satisfying relationship in Jesus Christ. The Christian life has to flow from a personal relationship with Jesus. 3:25 We come to Sunday services not to hear you know how we should behave really but to come to a closer relationship with Jesus from which 3:42 will flow our conduct. Christ is the end of the law and once I know Jesus like that I don't need the law. The Bible says if you are led by the spirit, Galatians 5:18, you're not under the 4:03 law. Now, the way to misunderstand it is say, "Well, I'm born again, so I'm not under the law." It's not true. I feel a lot of Christians who are born again need to be under the law because they haven't come into living in 4:19 obedience to the Holy Spirit. And that's why you find many Christians their standard of life standard of life is lower than the standard of people under the old covenant. Jewish people I mean when you think of the standard of life that Elijah, John 4:39 the Baptist and some of the prophets in the Old Testament lived. They were way above, as I understand it, the lives of many who claim to be believers today. And why is that? They had an old 4:57 covenant they strictly followed. And these believers have said, "We're free from the law. We're finished with it." But they haven't come into the new covenant. They haven't come into a life in the Holy Spirit. So what what happens is they've thrown 5:13 away the old covenant and they've got no covenant. then of course their life is much worse than people under the old covenant. So I cannot throw away the law until I've come to this into life in the Holy Spirit. Life in obedience to the 5:28 prompings of the Holy Spirit. That's what Galatians 5:18 says. If you are led by the Holy Spirit, then you don't need these rules and regulations. You don't need the law. You're not under the law. and Galatians chapter 3. 5:51 Before we came to this genuine faith, Galatians 3:23, we were kept in custody under the law. Otherwise, we'd become wild. The law was like something that kept us under custody until we came to the faith which was 6:10 later to be revealed. So, the law was our tutor. to lead us to Christ. Not only in that initial experience of salvation, not of works, not of the law, but by faith in Christ, death on the cross, his death and resurrection, 6:28 but beyond that into our daily life that we learn to listen to the prompings of the Holy Spirit. And if we are led by the spirit, we are not under the law. And the Holy Spirit will speaks to us in our conscience and 6:47 seeks to show us where we come short of God's standards. And if I keep listening to that, I really don't need rules and regulations to keep me. And Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit will take of him 7:07 and show it to us. To me, that's a very precious passage because that's what I want to experience all the time. In John chapter 16 and verse 14, it says, "When the Holy Spirit has come, the spirit of truth, verse 13, he'll guide you into all the 7:24 truth." And verse 14 in the middle, it says, "He will take of mine and disclose it to you." That's one way. I know I'm being led by the Holy Spirit that he reveals more of Jesus to me 7:44 and Christ becomes more precious. And in that connection, I think of Philippians in chapter 3 where Paul says verse 7, "Whatever things were gained to 8:06 me, those I counted loss for the sake of Christ. And more than that, I count everything to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord for whom I've suffered the loss of everything 8:23 and count them but rubbish that I may gain Christ. You know God has given us the Apostle Paul as an example in scripture. There two people who said follow me. One was Jesus the other was Paul. 8:40 Sometimes people um sort of look down on us and saying, "Hey, you're following a man." I'm not ashamed to say, "I follow Paul." Because the Holy Spirit tells me to follow him. The Holy Spirit specifically says 1 Corinthians 11:1, inspired by the Holy 8:59 Spirit says, "Follow me as I follow Christ." It's good to have a human example. And that's what Paul was. I think a lot of Christians haven't seen that. A lot of people who say, "I'm following Jesus," their lives are so pathetically poor 9:16 spiritually. There's so many uncristlike things in them who who say, "No, I don't follow." Amen. I only follow Jesus. Well, I I've been extremely thankful in my life that I could know godly men 9:34 who in from whom I could learn something of Jesus. That I don't had to be so proud to say I only follow Jesus. In the Old Testament, it was like that. There was nobody who could say follow me. Not Moses, not even John the 9:48 Baptist. So, don't look at me, look at him. But once Jesus said, "Follow me." Here we have the example of Paul saying follow me as I follow Christ. Dear brothers and sisters, that should be our challenge that we should be able 10:05 to look at people who are younger than us in the Lord. And our spirit should be saying, "Follow me as I follow Christ." Not perfect. Paul said, "I'm not perfect. I'm still pressing on, but you can follow my example. I'm moving on. I'm forward. I'm 10:22 not stuck moving forward because Christ is becoming more and more precious to me. And so here is Paul's example. And I say I I say, Paul, how did how did you come to know Jesus like this in this wonderful way? 10:41 He says in Philippians 3:8, by counting everything else on earth as rubbish. Everything outside of Christ was rubbish for me. That's how I got to know him. You see there why 11:01 we probably don't know Jesus the way Paul knew him. There's a lot of things in this earth are not rubbish to us. So our knowledge of Christ is far inferior to Paul's because there are certain things on earth 11:20 we still consider pretty valuable or maybe the opinions of men are valuable. Paul had so many earthly qualities is all rubbish. He says I count it as all as loss. I count everything as loss. You know, it's like there are gadgets that we we 11:36 get in stores which look so identical. There are things now made in China which look almost exactly like the original article. We all know that. And the difference is price is tremendous. And so here's a very expensive gadget 11:56 you got uh whether a smartphone or something like that and someone else has got one looks absolutely the same and he says hey I paid only 10% of what you paid for that I'm smarter than you really well just wait and see how long this 12:12 lasts then you'll know it's not the real thing like that did you get Christ cheap without giving up without giving up your ambitions perhaps without giving up certain things that you value 12:30 it looks like the real thing but Paul says I had to give up everything you got it cheap right Paul had to say pay such a price for look at the life Paul lived as a result of it when he says do all things without murmuring and grumbling he had come to a 12:48 life where he never murmured never grumbled you come to that when he says rejoice in the Lord always 24/7, he had come to a life where he actually rejoiced in the Lord 24/7. Have you come to that? The smartphone looks the same. Oh, it 13:07 doesn't work as well. Something like that. It's a cheap counterfeit because we wanted something cheap. How cheaply can I get Christ? Paul says I had to count everything. I suffer the loss of everything and count 13:27 it all rubbish and I gain Christ. You know this is the picture that Jesus also spoke in a parable where he says a man found a pearl of great price and the price was so high that he had to go and sell all that he 13:45 had to get it. Now, I'm sure there were other pearls that look the same. So, if someone was only thinking of showing other people, hey, I got a pearl that looks the same, he wouldn't have sold all that he had. Or the this is the 14:05 one parable where Jesus repeated again with another illustration. A man went to buy a plot of land and he sold all that he had to buy that plot of land. Even though the plot of land didn't look very great, but he discovered there was a 14:18 treasure hidden in it. And he said he'd finally be much wealthier. He sold all that he had. It's the same thing here. I count I suffered the loss of everything. Philippians 3:8. And I gained Christ. He got the pearl of great price. He got 14:34 that hidden treasure. It's good to ask ourselves whether we have found Jesus like that. It's like I mean if you come back to the beginning of our salvation which is justification by faith. There we understand this truth. When it comes to justification by 14:52 faith we know that if I add one thing to the work of Christ it's it's a counterfeit. Salvation is entirely of Christ. Not a works. not even one work that I can add to it to make my salvation more 15:10 because Christ did a finished work. And that's why we don't agree with our dear friends in the 7th Adventist Church who say that you got to keep the Sabbath in order to be saved. Well, then it's not real salvation. If there's one thing 15:24 that has to be added to the finished work of Christ, it's not it's not the original. It's not the real thing. Anything it's not a works. We know it's all rubbish when it comes to that initial step of justification by faith. 15:37 And we know that very clearly. Our theology is clear. We have to count everything else as worthless. All our works is like all our righteousness is like filthy rags. It's rubbish. Isaiah 64:6 filthy rags. Then I found Christ. And if a person can say, 15:55 well, I found Christ without a single work of mine. It was entirely Christ's work. I like we sing in that song, nothing in my hands I bring simply to thy cross I cling I found Christ. We understand it there in that initial step 16:12 that everything has to be rubbish to find that first step of justification by faith. But we forget it later on. If you want to know Christ deeper and deeper, we have to continue to recognize everything on earth is rubbish. The 16:26 honor of men, it's rubbish. The wealth of this world and the honor of this world is rubbish. Appreciation and the respect of other people in the church perhaps in this church perhaps rubbish. I find if I considered rubbish I shall 16:43 know Jesus in a far deeper way and my life will be more free from um the things that bring other people into bondage. we will come closer to the type of life that Paul lived when he says be anxious for nothing. He wrote 17:01 that in a prison. Philippians was written in a prison. He's sitting in a prison that he writes rejoice always and be anxious for nothing. I'm content in whatever state I am. When you think of these statements in Philippians 3 and 4 and recognize the 17:14 man's sitting in a prison and writing it, we can see what a wonderful life he came to. And I wonder whether we see these statements of his as a challenge for us. Follow me. He says, I follow Christ. Follow me. Come into this life where we 17:31 rejoice always and be anxious for nothing. And we are content with whatever state I'm in. And we give thanks in all situations and for everything. And I'll tell you honestly, most Christians never never come to that. Even though they hear the message in our 17:45 churches for many years, they've understood it. They've heard it. They heard it. They heard it but they don't seem to be able to say it's become true in my life. It's to me it's like an unconverted person, a nominal Christian sitting and 18:01 hearing the gospel again and again and again and still not converted and say why aren't you converted? You've heard it so often. Maybe he's trying to do something in addition to the finished work of Christ. Then of course 18:16 he cannot be saved. All non-Christian religions always say salvation is by works. There's something you have to do, you know, light a candle or go on pilgrimage or give some money or something. It's only the true gospel 18:35 that says you can't bring a single thing to for salvation. It's got to be entirely of God, completely free. That's why this person is not converted because he's not willing to come on that basis. And that's we apply the same 18:52 principle here. This is the reason why so many Christians don't come into this life that Paul describes in Philippians. They have tried. They have not considered everything else as rubbish compared to Christ. I want to turn to Paul's testimony in 19:11 Galatians 2. where he speaks about this life that he's come to this when he says it is no longer I who live Galatians 2:20 but Christ lives in me 19:30 for us it's a verse that we quote for Paul it was his testimony he was giving his testimony when he said it is no longer I who live because I have been crucified. I have accepted my place 19:49 on the cross is crucified and I do not want myself to live. And so the life which I now live I live by faith or in helpless dependence on the son of God 20:08 who loved me and delivered himself up for me. We know we are saved by faith. By grace are you saved, not of works. Here he speaks about living by faith. I live by faith and that is how Christ lives in him. So 20:27 think of these two expressions. I'm saved by faith and I live by faith. When I came to salvation by faith, I was willing to accept Christ as everything, none of my works. When it comes to living by faith, it's the same principle. 20:45 See, the only one who can truly say I live by faith, we all say it very glibly, I live by faith. For many people, even that expression has been misused. Um, many people who are in full-time Christian ministry say, "I live by 21:03 faith," meaning I'm not getting a regular income. That's not the meaning at all. It's never found in the New Testament. That's a perversion of the real expression. I live by faith. The righteous shall live by faith. Every 21:18 single one of us were born again is supposed to live by faith. But what came home to me from this verse was if I want to really live by faith, I have to go the route that we see in this verse. I have been crucified with 21:36 Christ. It's only if I'm willing to be crucified with Christ that I can live by faith that I can say Christ lives in me. So that is a choice I have to make. Lord, everything outside of Christ is 21:56 rubbish. That's the word he uses. Everything outside of Christ is rubbish. And so I'm willing to be crucified to all of that. to all that this world offers me and all that the world thinks of me. I'm finished now. I can live by faith in dependence 22:16 on the son of God who loved me, gave himself up for me. So our Christian life is one where we increasingly are to find the preciousness of Christ 22:33 day by day know him more and more and that's coming back to Philippians 3 after saying that I count everything as rubbish that I may gain Christ. 22:52 He goes on to say, "I want to know him better." Verse 10, "And the power of his resurrection, the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death." Again, being conformed to his death, being crucified. 23:11 The way of the cross is the way of life. And that is the one thing that Jesus said we have to consciously choose every day to choose our place crucified with Christ 23:29 morning till night. If we want to follow him, he said we got to take up our cross every day and follow him. And Paul experienced it and expresses it in a deeper way, not only daily, but he says in 2 Corinthians 4:10, 23:47 always carrying in our body the dying of Jesus that the life of Jesus might be manifested in our body. If you take this seriously, here is a secret. All these verses that I quoted just now all point in one direction. 24:06 that I may be conformed to his death and know the power of his resurrection. There's no if he die with him, we live with him. If I don't die with him, I will not live with him. I'm crucified with Christ and then I live by faith. I 24:18 count everything on earth as rubbish that I gain Christ. The same thing here. How can the life of Jesus, that life that was completely free from murmuring and complaining, that life that was completely free from anxiety, 24:34 that life that was constantly rejoicing no matter what happened, that life that had no bitterness against anyone in the world, that life that could love its enemies and bless those who curse him. How could I have this life? He says, 24:45 there's only one way. 2 Corinthians 4:10, I have to carry in my body always the dying of Jesus. And I believe this if in every situation you say, "Lord, 25:05 this is what the spirit will prompt me to." The spirit will always prompt me when I'm tempted. When I'm provoked by people or circumstances or tempted by various temptations in the world, choose the dying of Jesus. Choose to go that way 25:29 and then it will it will work. [Music] choose the dying of Jesus. And we we have plenty of opportunities 25:47 every day to prove this. When we are tempted by circumstances and by people to say, "Lord, here is where I have to choose the dying of Jesus. I'm I want to choose to take this place of being crucified with Christ. 26:05 And the spirit of God will then restrain my tongue, turn away my eyes. When when Jesus said that when I'm tempted with my eyes, it's better to pluck out the eye. He couldn't explain it at that time as being crucified with Christ. But that's 26:23 really what it means. Now we understand it more fully that when I'm tempted, I have to be like a dead man who has no eyes. When I'm provoked to reply rudely to someone who speaks rudely to me, I I I have to be like a 26:41 dead man who has no tongue to speak. If Christians were gripped by this truth of the cross, the truth of the cross is the way of the cross is something which I found as is the message which is almost least preached 27:00 in Christian television or on YouTube or in churches the way of the cross. And yet I see that that's a central thing in the gospels. This is the way that Jesus went. The 27:19 Holy Spirit constantly kept him going this way. And that's why it's called the dying of Jesus. And I believe that's the only way that the church can be built. That's the only way that we can have a church that's strong where every person 27:37 is manifesting that life of Jesus. In Matthew chapter 16, Jesus spoke about building his church. And it's it's the first time that he ever spoke about building his church. He'd never spoken about it before to his disciples. In fact, it's the first time 27:55 in the Bible that the word church occurs in Matthew 16 and verse 18. I will build my church and the gates of hell will not overpower it. When I when he spoke about the church the very first time, he immediately spoke of 28:15 powers of spiritual darkness trying to hinder that building of the church. And he says they won't succeed. It shall not overpower the church I built. And it's interesting that that is the very first time that he also spoke 28:32 about the cross from that time. Verse 21. I I don't know whether you've seen this connection. The very first time he spoke about the church is the very first time he spoke about the way of the cross. So there's a close connection there. Jesus died, 28:48 loved the church, and gave himself for it. That's how the church was built. And if we want to build the church today, we got to love the church and give ourselves for it just to the way Jesus gave himself. And when Jesus spoke about this death, 29:01 how he's going to be killed and raised up the third day, Peter took him aside and said, "God forbid it, Lord. This shall never happen to you." And that's the only time that Jesus ever directly called a human being Satan. 29:20 He never called even Judas's Scariot by that name. But he turned around and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan. You're a stumbling block to me." What do I learn from that? The voice that tells me to avoid the way 29:39 of the cross is the voice of the devil. Anytime. A voice that tells me don't die in this situation. Stand up for your rights. That's a voice of the devil. And once I listen to it, I will not 29:58 be able to stand against the gates of Hades. The gates of Hades will overpower me. And if we have whole lot of people like that in a church, that church will be overpowered by the gates of Hades. That's exactly what's happened. And I 30:09 believe that's the reason why the devil keeps suppressing the message of the cross in all churches. I I've been a believer 55 years, but I can count the number of times where I've heard the message of the cross preached 30:27 in churches other than our own. It's so rare. It's considered a negative message. Dying to yourself, dying to yourself, and all that. you I mean it's more psychology that's being preached in so many churches. Esteem yourself. 30:43 You're very important. If Jesus were to preach today that he who hates his life will find it. He'd be called negative in his preaching. But that's exactly what he said. And it's because people haven't understood that message that the average Christian still 31:00 grumbles, still complains, still loses his temper, still gets anxious, and still doesn't learn how to give thanks for everything. And he thinks that's a normal Christian life. That is not the normal Christian life. It's the most 31:12 substandard Christian life you can think of. It's contrary to everything that's written in the New Testament. But that is an old covenant life. Oh yeah, they grumbled, they complained, they murmured, they got angry, they lost 31:23 their temper, they did all that. And it's amazing that Christians haven't discovered that is an old covenant life. And what's the reason? They've not chosen the way of the cross. They've not turned around to that voice that says 31:39 avoid the cross and say, "Get behind me, Satan." You're interested in your own interests, not God's interests. You're a blessed person if you have understood that every voice and we got to apply it in our daily life. And for 31:56 example, you look back over just the last one week. Were there times in your life when in the last one week in your circumstances the situations you faced where you didn't die when you should have died 32:19 to yourself. I personally find there could be many many opportunities every single day. We live in a world where we are. Paul says in Romans, we are constantly delivered over to death for Jesus' sake. We there's no shortage of opportunities, 32:37 always bearing in our body the dying of Jesus. So that always the life of Jesus. There is only one life that can rejoice always. It's not the life of Adam. It's not even my gritting my teeth and say I'm going to do it from tomorrow. 32:55 No, there is only one life that can rejoice all the time and that's the life of Jesus. There's only one life that can give thanks in everything and that's the life of Jesus. And there's only one life that can free us from bitterness. It can 33:15 enable us to forgive those who hurt us. that can enable us to be content with our circumstances and have faith that God will work every single thing in my life for my very best as the life of Jesus. And it should be 33:32 our greatest longing to have this manifested in us for this is what the church is supposed to manifest the very life of Jesus. And imagine if all of us pursue this then this church will be a strong church. which the gates of hell 33:47 will never be able to overpower it. This is the life of which Jesus said the way to this life is narrow. It's narrow because hedged in on every side. I've got to die. I got to count everything else as 34:07 rubbish. And I got to go this way. And people say, "I don't want that. I want a Christian Christian life where we sing and praise and happy and all that and doesn't matter if I live the rest of the week defeated. It's always the blood of 34:24 Jesus to cleanse me. I thought of how seriously Jesus had to take sin compared to our attitude to sin. If Jesus had sinned once once in all his 34:43 33 years could never never have accomplished what he was sent to earth to accomplish. Yet to ensure that he never sinned even once in thought or word or deed or attitude 35:01 or motive. I've thought of it like this. I say Lord if you tell me that from today onwards you must never sin even once. Would it make a difference in the way I 35:19 live from today onwards? I think it would because at the back of our mind we have this feeling well if I slip up the blood of Jesus is always there. It's like a safety net is there. I won't fall down and break my head. There's a 35:39 safety net there. Even if I slip up, I I'll be protected. And that's why we don't take sin seriously. Jesus took sin very seriously. It says in Hebrews 5 that he prayed with loud crying and tears 35:55 so that he might not sin. That's how seriously he took it. Hebrews 5:7, in the days of his flesh, which is referring to 33 and a2 years, those are the days of his flesh. He prayed and supplicated specific requests 36:14 with loud crying and tears. To the only one who was able to save him from spiritual death and he was heard. We know that spiritual death because it says his prayer was heard. He was not saved from physical death. When it says he was heard, 36:32 obviously it's not physical death. So the one who was able to save him from spiritual death and he was heard because of his godly fear. So there I understand what godly fear is. 36:48 Godly fear is to say I don't want to sin even once. And when I want to live that life, I have to really seriously pray, cry out in my heart and say, "Lord, keep me. I can't keep myself. You can save me from 37:07 spiritual death and I want to be saved." This is what it means to walk as Jesus walked. And I see that when Paul says follow me and he describes the challenges in 37:26 challenges us to number of things in Philippians like be content with what you have and be anxious for nothing and rejoice always and do all things without murmuring and complaining just in the letter to Philippians and have the same 37:39 attitude that was in Christ. find, hey, here's another man who lived this life, Paul. That means it's possible for me to live this life. Why should I be content with seeing the substandard life of Christians all around me? 37:54 I know in the early part of my Christian life, I hardly ever saw anybody testifying to these things or speaking about these things. I found most Christians were just content with that defeated life and say, "Well, the blood 38:05 of Jesus cleanses us." that I never felt challenged for anything more because I said I never met anybody who would challenge me to that. I thought well I suppose it's impossible or maybe I'm misunderstanding scripture. Maybe when it says rejoice in 38:20 the Lord always it means most of the time or be anxious for nothing means be anxious. I mean few things you say okay but not nothing. No nothing doesn't mean nothing. Always doesn't mean always. Imagine if you took the word of God 38:34 seriously and believed that a man like Paul wasn't bluffing when he said he was living this life. I thank God a day came in my life when I decided I'm going to take that seriously. I'm not ashamed to say I followed a man Paul 38:53 who came to this life and I want as I grow up I said to be able to say like him follow me as I follow Paul who follow Christ God wants you to be like that my brother 39:12 sister but it'll never never be true if you don't consider Everything on earth as rubbish. There's something on earth that you still value, 39:28 something you want desperately any cost. You won't come to this life. I might as well tell you that it's only one who who like Paul says, I gave up everything. I count everything on earth as rubbish. 39:47 And I found Christ. The Christ he found was so precious. The Christ you have found I hope is the same. But if you want to know Christ the way Paul knew him, you got to count everything else as rubbish. Like I said, let me repeat. 40:06 Just like when you came to initial salvation, forgiveness of sins, there was no way to get it except by counting every other way of salvation as rubbish only by faith in Christ's death on the cross plus nothing. The same principle. 40:26 Live an overcoming life. Everything outside of Christ is rubbish. Otherwise you know we can live we may not realize it but we may be live living with certain laws which give us a very good 40:45 testimony before the church that we have certain rules by which we live uh treat others kindly don't boast too much about yourself etc. many many rules which give us a that people appreciate us 41:05 they think we are Christlike but it's not inward it doesn't come from the life of Jesus it's come from it it comes from you know holding myself back from doing things because I've got certain rules and doing certain things 41:20 because of certain rules I thank God Christ is the end of the law you see Uh, a cat doesn't have to pretend 41:37 that is not a pig. It's always licking itself and keeping itself clean. It's not a law that hey, I should be keeping myself clean. Must keep my testimony clear, so I better lick myself all the time. No, it's nature. It's it's become it's it's 41:55 part of its life. And I say, Lord, the real life in the Holy Spirit is like that. Where the Holy Spirit produces in me the life of Jesus that just wants to be pure, that hates 42:12 sin, that wants to forgive others, that wants to do good, that never wants to displease God, that does not want to ever grumble or complain. Because when I grumble or complain, I'm saying the devil's in charge right now. He isn't. 42:31 God is in charge of universe. So, and then I see that the only way to come to this life, this genuine inward life that comes from within, which is not the result of following certain rules and regulations is if I bear the 42:46 dying of Jesus. So all I'm saying is my dear brothers and sisters, some of you got a very good testimony. You live a very good life. You're highly appreciated by other brothers, sisters in the church because you don't do 42:59 things wrong and you're kind and good and all that. I hope it's coming from the life of Jesus, not because of certain laws and rules that you follow. Don't miss the best. Don't live for the testimony of men. 43:18 before God's face and ask yourself, Lord, is this coming from within or am I concerned so much about my testimony before people? Now, in the beginning, it is like that. It seems to me that people have to go the route of 43:33 the law to finally come to life in Christ. But you got to be fed up of the law. Say, Lord, this is not the way I'm supposed to live. I mean, a cat does not have to be given laws. You got to keep yourself clean all the time. 43:48 No, it's free from that law. It's nature. And I say, Lord, I want to come to that life. Possible. It's possible for every single one of us. If I say, Lord, I want to always bear in my body the dying of Jesus. I want to count everything else as 44:07 rubbish. All that I've shared today are a bunch of halfhazard thoughts, right? Something like scripture itself. If you read scripture, you don't you won't find it all neatly systematic in two, three points, etc. It's just here and there 44:26 and here and there. The way Jesus spoke and the way that Paul wrote his letters. But if it brings life, you know, that's from the Holy Spirit. I pray that God will challenge us to see but it's very difficult to express in 44:44 human words the the life of Jesus. How shall we express it? It's through the way of the cross. Amen.
