philippians 1 verse 6 our memory verse for the week says i'm confident of this very thing that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of christ jesus so i felt led to share on that today

to God and I think it's a giant for every one of us that we should be aiming for God doesn't want lukewarm children but children who were so excited and joyful to have a dad like that to have a bride be the Bride of Christ and but

one. And then two, trust him for the future ones. Don't worry about them yet. Trust that he'll help he'll give um grace for it. And the Christian life is like that, one step at a time. The it's like that saying, "The journey of a thousand miles

you were at your prime H there's a certain age we get to we're just going to go down from there and and we'll never have as much physical energy as we used to but inwardly for the Christian that who has the Holy Spirit side of us God is doing the exact

things through him who gives me strength but I believe that Paul actually had something specific in mind when he wrote this what did Paul have specifically in mind when he said I at all I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

the way the Lord spoke to my heart humble yourself in all the circumstances that God allowed so that you can be in the presence of Jesus uh that you can live in that presence and uh I recently read uh an old Christian Saint wrote

of God or am I striving to please men if I were still trying to please men I would not be a bondservant of Christ so this to me this is the it's saying I can't serve God at all if I want to please men just like you can't serve God

Peter look to Jesus look to all I have in Christ and focus on him how I need to follow him there's no reason Jesus has given me every spiritual blessing in heavenly places that's worth infinity times more than anything that I could

what a privilege it is to suffer for christ in some way and that's much more of a picture than the answer and solution to all of my um situations that's not really what the puzzle i i think that's i feel in the darkness

against someone I really have to die to myself this is a if if I'm I'm feeling that like um I'll just let him go I'm not going to talk to him for I really have to like Paul said I'm crucified with Christ I wrapped it I have to ask

sensitive to my spirit and to my conscience then uh there there's a lot of things i'll hear from god all the time so i saw yeah a lot of christians aren't really sensitive to those small things but one who wants to be a disciple

everything's gonna be fine I got you covered and you'll get better soon enough so hopefully you can see how this relates to our Christian life the three points I wanted to make about this story one is about unbelief the dad was so confused

speck and flicker of how wonderful God's love is for us and what what God is symbolizing is his relationship in his commitment to us and so as Christians that's our that's what we can sing about the world sings all if you listen to any secular songs almost

I didn't know much about him but I just happened to run into a little more of this story this past week and he was a man who was in prison for a long time because he was a Christian and I wanted to read something somebody had asked him

in Christ what I follow there's sorrow there and a deep conviction of sin but the ones who are good getting up again are going to be the ones who are doing what Hebrews 6:1 says pressing on to perfection everyone else like that one dieter they're going to

bigger than a little parking ticket loss and when you have a big win uh small losses are much easier to bear and so that's i believe that's what god's argument is look what you have in christ and so all the passing things here

of the crowd to want to feel accepted and feel like we're you know like we're not weird we don't want people we don't want to stand out yo just go along like we don't want people to think that were you know that Christians are sort of

taste of it now and that he the one who loves me that he'll be the one i'll be able to spend the rest of my eternity with and brothers and sisters in christ that love him too and we don't know what eternity is going to look like but

you I'm gonna you may live with this consequence but I'm with you in the midst it we've all made messes of our lives and it doesn't go away just because we're Christians and it doesn't mean the end of its to the end of the story what

still kind of questions a lot of the time is it even right to be doing what we're doing as Christians eating this type of meat or whatever but Paul Paul's answer here to the Romans was um he who doubts is condemned two feeds because
