Brothers and sisters, as we remain 27:58 standing, let's put our trust in the Lord alone. Let's rejoice 28:17 that He's the center of our joy. And everything good and perfect comes from Him. And when He's our shepherd, we don't need, we don't want, we don't desire 28:36 anything else. Bow down in our hearts. Acknowledge that God reigns. 29:02 To Him belongs the kingdom and the glory. He rules over heaven and earth. All dominion and power is with Him. This great and mighty God has reached out and individually 29:22 called us by name, touched us, revived us, lifted us up, clothed us with His righteousness, washed us clean in His blood, filled us with His Holy Spirit. 29:43 And much more today He wants to give us >> [snorts] >> and fill us. He deserves the praise and the glory and the honor. I want to read from 30:01 Isaiah chapter 35. The wilderness and the desert will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom 30:20 profusely. It will rejoice with rejoicing and a shout of joy. They will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Encourage the exhausted, strengthen the feeble, say to those with anxious heart, take courage, fear not. 30:35 Behold, your Lord will come and he will save you. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. The lame will leap up like deer. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. 30:55 The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water. And there will be a highway there, a roadway it will be called the highway of holiness. And the unclean will not travel on it. No lion will be there, nor will any 31:15 vicious beast go upon it. But the redeemed will walk there. The ransomed of the Lord will return, come with joyful shouting to Zion with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy and sorrow and sighing will flee away. 31:31 Brothers and sisters, this is the invitation of the Lord that we can go together to see our king, to draw to to hasten his coming. And the Holy Spirit will move in our midst and bring forth fruit and healing and revival in our hearts. 31:46 Let's just cry out to the Lord and give him praise and glory. Brothers and sisters, lift up your voices. Heavenly Father, Lord, we want to praise you and thank you for all your goodness, Lord, your majesty, your great kindness, 31:56 your loving compassion, Lord. We praise you. We praise you. Yes, Lord, we thank you for your promises. We thank you, Lord, for your father's heart. With out- with outstretched arms, Lord, even today, even this morning, Lord, you're reaching 32:08 to us. And we praise you and thank you, Lord, we can come to you just as we are, Lord. We thank you and praise you, Lord, for your upward call, Lord. We thank you and praise you for the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord. We thank you that you 32:21 deserve the glory and the honor, Lord. It belongs to you. It belongs to you, Lord. You're high and lifted up and we can trust in you, Lord. We can lay all our burdens at your feet, Lord, because you are worthy. You are worthy and yours is the kingdom and the 32:34 glory and the power, Lord, forever and ever. We want to praise you, Lord, and thank you. Thank you, Lord, that you are our shepherd. Thank you for your compassion, Lord. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you, Lord, for your kindness and 32:45 goodness that's everlasting, Lord, that rests on us. Yes, Lord, we trust you, Lord, that even today you will speak to us according to our need. What a faithful God you are, Lord. What a faithful God. Yes, Lord, and we want to just lay aside 33:03 every every doubt, every burden. And we look to you, Lord. We don't go by our feelings or what our eyes see and our ears hear, but we know that your word is true and you will fulfill every promise, Lord. You'll bring it to pass. Thank you. We 33:17 praise you. We pray in your mighty name, Jesus. Amen. Please be seated, brothers and sisters. We will go over our memory verses. Let's 33:39 commit them to our hearts. Let's read the last week's verse, which is a promise. You can repeat after me, Joshua 21 and verse 45. Not one of the good promises 34:01 which the Lord made failed. All came to pass. Amen. It shall be so. And uh we want to repeat this week's verse, Psalm 20 verse 34:20 7. Some boast in chariots and some in horses but we will boast in the name of the Lord our God. Say that again, Psalm 20 verse 7. 34:41 Some boast in chariots and some in horses but we will boast in the name of the Lord our God. Brothers and sisters, the name of the Lord our God is Jesus, our savior. 34:59 He's the one who saves us from our sins. We can boast in that name that he will save us. Let's come with that faith. Uh it is uh uh a privilege to hear from Brother Danish. I want to call upon him to share what's on his heart. Brother Danish, 35:19 please come. Good morning, beloved CFC family. 35:42 So, um the burden and desire in my heart is to first to encourage encourage everyone who's seated here. You know, I was thinking um some of us 36:01 we often come up in front and speak or sing. That's just 1% of the church. We have 4 to 500 people are gathering um every Sunday and there is a visible ministry in the 36:20 church. That's just 1% or 1 to 2%. And uh it's quite possible to think that brothers and sisters, those who don't feel that there is a visible ministry for you um you can get a sense of unworthiness 36:44 or uh um you know, I've heard um other churches or the pastors are boasting about their number of services. They have four, five services. People don't even get a place to park. And an ordinary believer goes to those 37:02 churches, they feel very very small. I uh one thing I've honestly desired in my heart to see everything from the way God looks at. Whether it is in my own heart or others. 37:21 And uh even to the church. So, and we praise the Lord that we can see in the scripture how God looks at the church. It's not in the way we look at the church. And I really want to encourage you, dear brothers and sisters 37:40 each one of you seated here everyone including children young and old, you're so precious in God's eyes. And it is you're so precious that if you were the only sinner still God the Father would send his only son 37:58 to die and redeem you from your sin. And the price which God has paid for you, it is the same price which he paid for everyone else. So, recognize that God loves you, God values you. And not only that, there is a unique 38:15 function God has for you. The purpose in which he molded you the circumstances in which you grew up even the failures, even all the blunders which you made everything God has a purpose. 38:34 However insignificant you feel in your own eyes or even others' eyes God has a unique plan for your life. So, let me read this word from 1 Corinthians 12 verse 18. 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 18. 39:08 But now God has placed the members, each one of them in the body just as he desired. That means God has a desire to keep you as a member in the body of Christ. 39:24 And he places according to his desire. And it's a I don't want to go go through complete. Maybe I want to jump to verse 23. It says, "And those members of the body which we deem less honorable 39:43 On these we bestow more abundant honor. And our less presentable members become much presentable. Whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body 40:03 giving more abundant honor to that member which is lacked. That means the way God honors is completely different from the way we look at. And so none of us need to feel small, 40:21 discouraged, and depressed thinking that you don't have a great ministry. So rejoice, brothers and sisters, to recognize it is God who desired to keep you as a member in the body. And 40:39 I want you to turn to this book of Exodus, Exodus chapter 26. Exodus chapter 26. So these chapters there we use about 41:03 Sorry, we read about different materials God used in the construction of the tabernacle. You know, we read about gold, silver, and bronze, and fine linen, blue linen, acacia, so many costly precious things. 41:21 But Exodus 26:7 it says "Then you shall make curtains of goat goat's hair for the tent of the tabernacle." So there is a curtain which is made of goat's hair. You know, sheep's wool, sheep's hair, 41:42 it's people use it. They use it make for blankets. But goat's hair is not really used even most of the places they burn the hair and then they take it for the leather. But even the you know, when the tabernacle there is a place for even 42:02 goat's hair. We think about gold, we see what is the price of the gold. Who thinks about goat's hair? So even if you feel like you are goat's hair, brothers and sisters, there is a a plan and purpose which God has for 42:20 each one of us. Yesterday one of our dear brother we attended the funeral and I I heard many thing about him. I never saw him in the stage all these years. But I wouldn't be surprised when the Lord comes 42:39 I would see him ahead of us, some of us. And because God doesn't see the way we sees. And he don't reward according to the way we put marks. And see, he came very late to the church. 42:58 Maybe after he was 60, very late he came to the church. But he lived a so upright life. I mean, it's it's something like you know, in football you have this injury time. Your team is almost losing and the new player comes into the court 43:17 at the last injury time. And he hit two three goals and take the team to the success. When I heard about him I felt here is a brother, precious blessed brother. So even, brothers and sisters, you maybe at your old age, 43:36 you can think of so many miserable things or mistake or failures. But still can you believe that God is still having a plan for you? He has not failed yet. And if there is one thing which I wanted to put into your heart, brothers and 43:52 sisters, God has a plan, God has a will for your life. So I was mentioning about you know, different ministries in the church. And what shall we seek for? We know that God has saved our life and we don't want to just you know, many brothers and sisters come 44:11 and specially brothers ask, "Brother, can I help something in the church?" And I know there is a genuine desire because we all know that what we receive from the church and we have a desire to give something back. And what should we seek for? 44:29 I want to point to this verse in Ephesians chapter 5. See, 44:48 you may be thinking you are not even born again. Or you don't even believe that there is a God exist. Maybe that is a condition of your heart. But still you can ask, you know, look at this verse. Just see if this verse apply to you. 45:06 Therefore be careful how you walk. Be careful how you walk. Not as unwise unwise men, but as wise. I remember once a brother was giving an illustration. You know, sometimes when we build this compound wall, 45:25 we put broken glass pieces you know, on top of that wall so that you know, nobody can easily jump on top of that wall. And have you seen how the cat walking over that wall? Every step is careful. Every step the 45:45 cat is alert. I was reminded. Be careful how you walk. Not as unwise men, but as wise. Making the most of your time. We heard about this brother. He He used most of his time. He could you know, he could regret 46:04 looking back I wasted 60 years. No, the moment he came, he knew the Lord, he used the most of his time. It says because the days are evil. Now if you're not convinced, you need to read the newspapers. If you don't believe that the days are evil, you just 46:22 need to spend 10 15 minutes to read the newspaper. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. So this is what I wanted to ask you, brothers and sisters. Understand, seek, 46:39 find out what is God's will for God's will for your life. When I came to the church, I I knew I was born again, I knew my sin was forgiven. And I was so happy. And 46:56 I never thought, okay, there is a plan God has for my life. But uh you know, as I started coming I heard brother Zac speaking. And um we should never become a paralyzed member in the body. So I always prayed, "Lord, help me never 47:14 to become a paralyzed member in the body. I don't know what you want me to do in the body of Christ, but I never wanted to become a paralyzed member in the body." That has been my consistent prayer even now. So I'm not talking about a great ministry 47:31 or anything, brothers and sisters. It says God has a plan, a unique plan for your life. And seek that. And if you don't seek it, you won't find it. And see, there is a book brother Zac has written um Finding God's Will. So my burden is 47:48 not to explain how to find God's will, but to encourage you to seek yourself why God has created me, why God has kept me in the church. So as I said, in the first chapter of that book brother Zac says this emphasis that you know, God has a 48:07 plan and God has a purpose and we must seek and find that purpose. It's not emphasized in the churches. And that is one of the reason of a very shallow Christianity what we see around. So brothers and sisters, I want again remind you there is a plan, 48:25 God has a plan and you need to commit yourself to give to do God's will and find out that God's will in your life. So you know, when I think of some of the need in the church, when I say this is my own opinion, I am 48:44 I'm an imbalanced brother with a partial understanding. Because that's what the new New Testament ministry is. Paul says we we know in part, we prophesy in part. So I see one need we all have in the church is the need of discernment. 49:03 Not to be like a police, not to be like a CBI who get into somebody else's matters, but to discern discern our own spiritual condition first to recognize what the Lord is thinking of us. And second to discern others. Not to 49:20 judge them, but to help them. And to protect ourselves. And if you don't discern the voices which we hear in our ears, we'll be fooled. You know, think of that incident where I don't want to point refer to that verse. It's in Matthew chapter 2. 49:37 Where these people wise men they went to the king's palace uh searching for Jesus' body. And uh he said "Tell me where is the body? I too want to come and worship." So, they went back and we see the Lord protected them. He was actually not a 49:57 worshiper. He was a murderer. You see that later. He killed all the children in that locality because he's afraid of somebody else would take his kingdom. So, he was a worshiper in his words, but he was a murderer in his heart. 50:16 And there is another worshiper we read in John chapter 4. You know look think of that conversation with that Samaritan woman. So, she's speaking about worship and the place of worship with Jesus. And if you don't know the background of 50:31 the story you may think oh here is a somebody who want to be a worshiper. Yes, he can be a worshiper. That's a gospel. And that's what the Lord came to do for us, but we need to discern. We need to understand. And I see in the Bible 50:50 some of those who committed to God's will. And God give that ability. How to discern? How to understand? How to perceive? How to see differently? And I'm not talking about great things, brothers and sisters. See, there is a 51:07 woman a rich woman in Shunem. We read we we read about the story of Elisha. So she looked at this man and she felt uh he's a godly man. And in the previous chapter we read some people some young people uh 51:26 they mocked at this man of God. They didn't recognize it. So we need to understand, brothers and sisters, the voices that we we hear um in our ears, especially in this age we hear so many things in YouTube. I very carefully I see something which 51:43 came up in the last two three. They use the name of some man of God and put something most of them many of them are created by AI. So I don't know how many of you have been deceived by the Christian preachers. I did I've been 51:57 in the beginning of my life I I came across some preachers not here in CFC. And I I've they were impressed they impressed me by their knowledge and all, but when I got close I recognized they wanted money. They just wanted to 52:12 exploit me of my money. So, the greatest need in our life is discernment. And if we commit ourself to do God's will, brothers and sisters, God will give that discernment to us. Uh 52:28 turn to John chapter 7 verse 17. If anyone is willing to do his will 52:52 if anyone is willing to do God's will he will know of the teaching whether it is of God and whether I speak from myself. This is the words of Jesus. And Jesus was so careful that he don't want to speak which 53:11 he want to speak he wanted to speak what God wanted him to speak. So, the greatest struggle the battle we go through in our heart and mind, Lord, what do you want me to speak? And uh many times we may get a leading. 53:30 Sometimes we don't understand, but we trust. And as I said we we know partially we we prophesy in part but God is wise. God can take the foolishness of our words and and bring something of good from that. So, Jesus is saying if somebody want to 53:49 really do the will of God, he will understand of the teaching. Whether it is of God or whether I speak from myself. It's the question is not whether it is good or bad. Not whether it is impressive or not impressive. Whether it is from the Lord 54:03 or it is from oneself. You know, there is other verse which Jesus said if you know the every tree which is planted by father will remain. Everything else will be burnt up. So, I want to see my own life. I want to recognize 54:19 and I want to limit myself to only one thing which God wanted me to do. So, I wanted to show you two or three examples based on the time. Um men who gave themselves to do the will of God and the Lord gave them wisdom and discernment and 54:36 understanding. The first example I want to point out is the example of David. So, he is a man after God's own heart and and if you heard today's daily devotion he his desire he don't want to offer to God anything which cost nothing. 54:54 And he was so thankful even though he recognized it is not he his son is going to build the temple. He was not discouraged and he was not looking sitting back. He did what he could and he made all the arrangements. And it was his desire he he wanted to 55:10 really please the Lord. I want to read this verse from Psalm 40 verse 6. Sacrifice and meal offering you have not desired. My ears you have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering you have 55:29 not required. Then I said, "Behold, I come in the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do your will, oh my God. Your law is within my heart." So, here is a man who had a great desire to do God's will in 55:48 his life. What a wonderful attitude we can have recognizing there is a plan God has for my life my life. And Lord, I don't want to do anything extra. I don't want to do anything less, but if it is God's will no matter what it is going to cost me, I 56:05 want to do it. I I read it in the some of these Old Testament prophets in many biographies. And see what all people went through. But they were determined that no matter what happens in their life, they they were determined to complete what 56:23 God has planned for their life. So, there is a a small incident which I want to show from 1 Samuel 17. We can see how God gave this man Daniel uh discernment and wisdom. This is a Sunday school story. 56:42 Most of us know still we can look at it again. 1 Samuel 17 verse 4. Then Goliath the Philistine champion from Gath he came out of the Philistine ranks to the face of the forces of Israel. He was 57:02 over 9 ft tall. Close to 10 ft. It's like the height of a basketball hoop or 10 or close to 10 ft or um 10 ft or 3 m. This is the roof of a usual apartment. That was his height. 57:20 Verse 8. Goliath stood and shouted a taunt across the Israelites. "Why are you coming out to fight?" He called and "I am the Philistine champion, but you are only the servants of Saul. See, I am the Philistine champion 57:38 and you're all servants of Saul. And choose one man who will come and fight with me." Verse 10. "I defy the armies of Israel today. Send me a man who will fight fight with me." Verse 10. 11 it says when Saul and the Israelites heard this 57:58 they were terrified and deeply shaken. So here is a Philistine 10 ft tall with his mighty voice he's shouting. "Who will fight?" And all the people Israelites Saul and all these people they heard 58:16 this voice and they were terrified. This is a picture of devil and coming in front of us not in a physical form the hard voices of condemnation the the hard voices of rejection discouragement. And it says they were terrified. 58:36 We sometimes if we don't have discernment we are paralyzed with fear. And when the fear grips our heart we started losing the battle. And um fear and intimidation making us feel small. 58:55 You need to recognize, brothers and sisters and come to verse 16. So, he continued this for 40 days. And verse 17 we read about David Jesse's son. So, his father wanted to send some food packet. 59:15 "Take this basket of roasted grain and then carry them to this place." So, he went. You know the story David went to deliver the food. Verse 22. David left the baggage and and he saw the battle, he ran to the battle line 59:34 to greet his brothers and he was talking with them, some of his brothers. And behold the champion of the Philistine from Gath named Goliath. Goliath was coming up from the army and he spoke the same words and David heard them. 59:50 And 24, when all the men of Israel they fled from him, they greatly afraid. So, they started running back. But David didn't run back. So, he he was not panic. You know, he he looked at all these 1:00:09 things. Hey, what is this? What is going on? What is this what will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and take away the shame from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should taunt the armies of the 1:00:28 living God? You know, he didn't see this army of Saul. He saw this is army of the living God. And he didn't see this 10-ft giant. He saw who is this uncircumcised Philistine? And I think that's the word of encouragement which was heard in that 1:00:48 camp. He looked things differently. He saw things differently because he was set in his heart to do the will of God. And come to verse 28, we see something uh happened again. This can happen in our home, brothers 1:01:06 and sisters. Be careful. Now, Eliab, his oldest brother, heard what is happening. He saw David. And Eliab's anger burned against David. Hey, why have you come down here? You're supposed to take care of the sheep. 1:01:26 You left them in the wilderness. I know the wickedness of your heart. For you have come down to see the battle. So, I don't know why Eliab was angry with David. So, instead of fighting Goliath, he 1:01:42 picked up he turned against David. You know, sometimes there is a tension between husband and wife at home. And children sometimes come. We shout at children, hey, go back. You know, we suddenly 1:01:58 change the mode. I was you know, one brother was sharing. He was driving his car. And in front of him, there was another car which was you know, driving very slow. And um I mean, he was in the right lane but that car was blocking him. And he was 1:02:18 trying to overtake and and he's not letting him come forward. And somehow he took through the left side and he wanted to ask him, hey, what are you doing? But as he came here and he lifted his hand he realized that's a brother in the 1:02:33 church. Then this hand like ha, hello, brother. >> [laughter] >> What happened? Suddenly he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Surely goodness and mercy You know, brothers, we care for 1:02:52 testimony. We care for our own testimony too much. So, we we know, we switch mode. Anyway, you know, David would have made a mistake here. You know, if he started fighting with Eliab he understood the principle in Ephesians. 1:03:10 Our struggle is not with flesh and blood, Ephesians 6 6 verse 2 12. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but with the rulers, powers and the world forces of this dark this darkness. His heart was set on doing God's will. 1:03:28 And he didn't change his heart, his mind you know, to fight. See, look at David's response. You know, how he responds to um uh his brother. 29, David said what have I done now? I was just asking a question. So, he 1:03:47 didn't overreact. So, and he just walked away not in a offended way. It's a wisdom. Sometimes we may we misunderstood. But we don't get offended by it. We just walk away Lord, I don't understand. So, that's what David did. 1:04:06 So, here is a man who set on doing God's will. And he's in the middle of trouble, trouble outside, trouble inside. But the Lord protected him. And second example I want to show is the example of Apostle Paul. Here is a another man who was set on 1:04:26 doing God's will in his life. And you know, some incident in Apostle's life, you know, it will show the direction show the path, show his commitment, where he wanted to go, what he want to do in his life. And as we think he was not aware what he 1:04:43 was doing. For example, when he write his epistles inside a prison he he had a burden to encourage the churches. And he was not aware he was building the you know, he was writing uh the greatest uh epistles which is going to 1:04:59 uh help the church for centuries. And but every place he sought the will of God. He had a sickness. He was not discouraged. He he sought for healing but God didn't heal him but he found God's will. He recognized it is God's will that sickness is by the will 1:05:15 of God God allowed and then he surrendered to that will. So, here is a you know, uh maybe we can turn to this verse, Acts 20 verse 22. Acts chapter 20 verse 22. Behold, bound by the Spirit 1:05:35 I am on my way to Jerusalem not knowing what will happen to me happen to me there. So, he knew that God wanted to him the Holy Spirit was leading him to Jerusalem. But he was not sure what is going to happen to him. But that is secondary. 1:05:54 The first thing we want to know, Lord, what where you where do you want me to go? What do you want me to do? Or what do you want me to speak? 23, except the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city saying that the bonds and afflictions 1:06:09 awaits me. Yeah, there is danger, bonds and afflictions await me. But 24, it says I don't consider my life of any account as dear to myself. That's the condition of discipleship. If we seek to save our life, we will lose 1:06:25 it. If we seek to preserve our testimony our reputation, we will lose it. So, that I may finish the course and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God. So, this is the attitude 1:06:44 of Apostle Paul. He knew God want me to go to this place, so I'll go ahead there. And in the next chapter, Acts 21 verse uh 11 there was a man there was a prophet named Agabus. 1:07:01 So, he took Paul's belt and he bound his own belt and hands. Uh coming to his, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands and said this is what the Holy Spirit says, in this way the Jews at Jerusalem will bind 1:07:18 the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hand of the Gentiles. When we heard this, we were all all the local residents began begging him Paul, don't go. Don't go to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, brothers, why are 1:07:32 you doing what are you doing? Weeping and breaking my heart. I am ready not only to be bound but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And since he wouldn't not be persuaded, he wouldn't change his 1:07:46 mind we fell silent remarking, the will of the Lord be done. You know, there was a possibility you know, by good good brothers, their intentions were pure. They don't wanted to prevent Paul to go and suffer in Jerusalem. 1:08:06 But Paul didn't yield to that. And but others pray for God's will. Let your will be done. And uh So, I I want to you know, you to turn to Ephesians. So, we're not going to study that but there are three phrases from the book of 1:08:23 Ephesians I want to show you. Paul, you know, three times he writes the prisoner of the Lord. Paul, I Ephesians 3 verse 3 verse 1, I Paul the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles. 1:08:41 And 4 verse 1 again I therefore the prisoner of the Lord. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. So, he lives in reality. So, he knew he's in prison. 1:09:00 And uh he's in chain. But you know, six times he speak about the will of God in that epistle of Ephesians. First verse, it says, Paul an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God. And 1:09:18 Ephesians 1:5 he predestined us to adoption as sons through Christ Jesus Christ himself according to the kind and intention of God's will. So, I don't want to you know show all the references. There are almost six I could find. 1:09:35 Uh Ephesians 6:6, not by the way of eye service as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from our heart. And the word which I was reading in the beginning, not be foolish, but understand what the will of God is. 1:09:52 So, the prisoner of the Lord and the will of the Lord. And another verse he repeats in that epistle six times or five times is heavenly. Ephesians 1:3, it says every spiritual blessing is in the heavenly places in Christ. 1:10:08 Ephesians 1:20, we are seated with him at the right hand in the heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6, seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ. And Ephesians 3 to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places and 1:10:22 6:20, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. We can understand what is the mind of Apostle Paul is. You know, he could deliver his mind to his physical suffering or he could suffer physically and respond to the upward 1:10:38 calling. And uh and he sought what is the will of God in this suffering. Brothers, every difficulty that you go through, every pain, every sickness, every failure, every misunderstanding, God has a unique purpose. God has a 1:10:54 plan. God has a will. And if you let the circumstances, you know, speak to you than the spirit of God, you go down. You'll go down. I I look back number of times I was depressed. And uh you know, I find encouragement in the 1:11:11 Bible. Paul says that the Lord who comfort the depressed, who sent Sansa brother to encourage me. So, but in all these things, brothers and sisters, God has a plan. God has a purpose. See, God if God wanted, God can make a a 1:11:25 smooth path for our lives. But God didn't do that. You know, God sometimes allow difficulties. You know, I I look back on my life and I see uh almost every point from the beginning even this minute there is a struggle to 1:11:39 understand. And even if you understand God's will, there is a always a battle whether to please man or please God. And uh oh uh you know, we need to take counsel, wisdom from godly elder brothers. It's not that my way is highway. You know, there is a 1:11:55 verse it say Namadari Rajadari. So, that's that's not what I'm talking about, brothers and sisters, but we must set our heart. We must set our heart to do the will of God and God will give wisdom. And the last example, I want to show the example 1:12:08 of our Lord Jesus Christ. And so, we heard about David. We heard about Paul. And then the last I want to speak about the Lord Jesus. So, when I speak about Jesus' earthly life, we just need to completely remove this picture. 1:12:21 Jesus came up from heaven with lot of abilities and gifts. No, he was just like us. He was just like an elder brother walking with us and guiding us. Um turn to Luke chapter 9 verse 51. Maybe turn to 1:12:39 uh 54. This is an incident where it says uh when the days were approaching his ascension, he was determined to go to Jerusalem. Luke 9:51. Like Paul, here is the Lord Jesus. He knew the will of God is to go to Jerusalem. 1:12:56 There is a verse I remember. I think Isaiah 50 it says the Lord he set his face like a flint. So, that means he determined to do the will of God in his life. So, here and he sent messengers before ahead of him in verse 52. 1:13:09 But uh Samaritans Samaritans they they didn't receive him. They didn't make arrangement for him. They were not willing to you know receive him. And um when disciple John and James saw this, Lord, do you want us to command fire to 1:13:24 come down and to consume them. Oh, what a sincere brothers. They can stand with thick and thin and But Jesus turned and rebuked and said, you don't know what kind of spirit you are. So, for the Son of Man did not come to 1:13:43 destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went on to another village. So, Jesus discerned there. And again, come to Luke 10:17. Luke 10:17. The 70 returned with joy saying, Lord, 1:14:01 even the demons are subject to us in your name. He said, I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I give you all authority, but don't rejoice. Don't rejoice by what you do for the Lord, but rejoice for the what the Lord has 1:14:21 done for you. So, Jesus discerned the spirit. Again, Matthew 22. You know this incident, still I would like to read it again. When Peter took him aside, here Jesus want to go to the cross and die. And Peter took uh took him aside and started 1:14:41 rebuking him. God forbid it. This will never happen to you. But he turned and said to Peter, get behind me, Satan. You are a stumbling block. But for you are not setting you you know you're not setting your mind in God's 1:14:55 interest, but on man's. So, Jesus could discern the spirit. Yeah, this is my brother who is speaking, but I see the devil put this into his mind to prevent me from going to the cross. So, brother, this is fellowship. This is the picture of fellowship and an 1:15:14 older mature brother walking with us and guiding us. Don't misunderstand me. You can spend your time. You come have fellowship with brothers and sisters. Get to know each other. But find help. I I see you know the way brothers and sisters especially the 1:15:33 older brothers brothers led me. And even now, I recognize many time we can see our own heart when brothers speak. Don't misunderstand. I'm I'm not saying that uh you should not spend time or I want to encourage you to read the book 1:15:51 uh the club, congregation, and the church. Or the messages in the YouTube, you must listen to it especially if you come from other churches and you may be already came with a word and you fed up with those things and you 1:16:03 come to the church. You can think, you know, when we come to parking, what we do? We find a comfortable place that is shade. And every Sunday we come and park here and we come little early so that we can get the same spot. It can be like that in 1:16:16 the church. We find some brothers who are comfortable with. We come, meet them, and go back without getting to know others. Brothers and sisters, it is God's will that we must uh grow in maturity, in understanding. And it happens through brothers and 1:16:34 sisters with brothers who has the wisdom and discernment who can guide us. Not just to comfort us. Yes, we all seek for comfort. I I want I want comfort. I want the Lord to comfort me. The picture of the Holy Spirit is is a comforter. 1:16:48 But uh but he can also transform us. So, maybe I want to end with this verse in Hebrews chapter 10, where the attitude of God's heart, the heart of the Lord Jesus. He's quoting from Psalm 14, but there is 1:17:05 a slight change in the word. Hebrews chapter 10 verse 7. Behold, I have come to do your will, oh God. Lord, I have come. Father, I have come to do your will 1:17:24 in my life. I don't know. I don't understand what is God's will. You know, I'm not asking you to you know just now say, Lord, I want to do your will, but ask. Ask the Lord. Lord, what is your will? My life is almost ending. 1:17:40 I don't know how long I'm going to live. I don't know whether I'll see tomorrow, but I want to do the days which are left for me. I want to do your will. Uh please help me to understand your will. And God will give you wisdom and 1:17:53 discernment. We'll now hear brother Shankar. Yeah, we'll have a song and then after that we'll hear brother Shankar. Brothers and sisters, praise God for 1:18:45 what we heard. Let's sing the song as a prayer. To ask the Lord to help us to surrender our will and understand his ways. Teach me [singing and music] thy way, oh 1:19:09 Lord. Teach me thy way. Thy guiding [singing] grace afford. >> [music] >> Teach me thy way. >> [singing and music] [music and singing] 1:19:37 [singing] [music] [singing] [music] [music and singing] [music] 1:20:03 [singing] [music] [singing] [music] >> Long as [music and singing] my life 1:20:22 shall last, teach me thy [singing] way. Where'er my lot [singing] be cast, >> [music] >> teach me thy way. Until [singing] 1:20:39 the race is run, until [music] the journey's done, until [singing] the crown is won, >> [music] >> teach me thy way. Let's sing [music] that last verse once 1:20:57 more. Long as my [music and singing] life shall last, teach me thy [music] way. Where'er [singing] my lot be cast, 1:21:14 teach [music] me thy way. >> [singing] >> Until the race is run, >> [music] >> until [singing] the journey's done, until the crown >> [music] >> is won, 1:21:32 teach me thy way. Amen. We'll hear from Brother Shunk. I want to thank God for what we heard. 1:22:05 I was really encouraged and uh it warmed my heart. Um I was thinking of you know, we heard about Jesus. He set his face like a flint. I was reminded of uh few instances or few things that I wanted to 1:22:23 read from and his life, you know, he always want to do Father's will. His entire life has revolved around what Father wanted him to do on this earth for uh when he lived on this earth for 33 and 1/2 years. You know, 1:22:43 and for him the only thing that matters is what is my Father's will. You know, uh we know about this incident from Luke chapter 2. Uh You know, when the parents uh and the 1:23:02 family goes to Jerusalem uh as part of their custom and then um You know, at the age of 12, the family goes to Jerusalem. While returning, the 1:23:21 parents uh forgot that Jesus is there or not, but after a day's journey, they realized that Jesus was not with them. And then they came back to Jerusalem and then they found him in the midst of that uh discussion and then they asked Jesus, 1:23:39 "What is this, son? Why have you left?" But Jesus' answer was, "Don't you know that I'm on my Father's business?" You know, from the childhood, he wants to be on his Father's business. And uh we can read it from uh from John chapter 4. 1:23:58 Um verse 34. John chapter 4 uh 4 verse 34, it says, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work." 1:24:18 You know, it is a symbolic way of saying, see, uh sometimes um you know, when the children uh studies for the exams, teacher says, "Well, this is very, very important. Underline it and then make sure even within your sleep in the middle of the 1:24:35 night, somebody wakes you up, you should be able to answer it." So, for Jesus, the only thing that matters is the Father's will. And uh even um in another chapter, John 7 in verse 17, "If anyone is will You know, Brother John Brother Da- Danish 1:24:53 mentioned about this verse." Uh John 7:17. "If anyone is willing to do his will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether it is I speak from myself." You know, when we read about Jesus' life, when we look at Paul's 1:25:11 life, you know, uh Jesus is calling us to do his will. "If anyone is willing to do his will." You know, say for example, um if the kitchen team says that uh after lunch, if anyone would like to have an ice cream, you can help 1:25:30 yourself. You know, that anyone is applicable for everybody. Even now, this anyone is applicable for every age group, children. You can decide to do God's will. Teens and youth and brothers and sisters, "Anyone," it says. It's not about some 1:25:50 specific group or anything, but you know, the God is calling us to uh do his will um in our own circumstances. You know, even children um many things uh we can 1:26:08 think about. Uh I'm very small. Just now we heard from Brother Danish. Uh in the body, God has a plan for everyone, every member. Uh God has placed you uh with a plan and purpose. So, I'm so encouraged, you know, even child, uh you 1:26:28 can do God's will. And uh um if you are willing to do his will, what will happen? It says in John chapter 8, third verse 31, 32. He said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue my word, you are truly my disciples." 1:26:47 It's in verse 32, 8 chapter 8 verse 32. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." You know, when you when we wanted to do his will, the Lord will lead us into the truth, the truth about my own life, 1:27:05 so that I'll not be deceived at the end of my life. You know, and the truth will set me free, so that I will go back to the Lord. This is the area I'm struggling. This is the area where I'm not like you, so that the God will 1:27:20 set me free. And uh you [snorts] know, sometimes we may not uh sure that what to do in this area or how to go forward. You know, when we think about, "Okay, God's will," we think, "Okay, it is so big." But uh we can just start with what the Lord is 1:27:36 already, you know, um declared or it's very open to us. Um in Proverbs 4:12, it says, "As you go step by step, I'll open up the way before you." It is from the uh paraphrased version I was reading. [snorts] You know, when you uh start doing his 1:27:56 will in the known ways, you know, in known ways in the sense uh you know, for children, obey your parents. It is very plain, right? So, in this known place, if I if child try to obey, the God will open another step for him. So, 1:28:16 uh Brother Danish just now reminded about David uh when before the Goliath. You know, where he started fighting uh these giants, it's not in this visible battleground. But he fought these battles 1:28:34 where no one was cared about. He began his these kind of, you know, going with the Lord's strength in the wilderness, where nobody saw about him. And then he fought the battles there. Then with the same strength, and then he 1:28:52 was reminded of the lo- the Lord's strength, and then he came to this battleground, and then the Lord will strengthen me. The Lord who strengthened me in the past, in that un- you know, nobody saw me fighting this lion and uh the bear and all that, now 1:29:08 God is going to give me the strength to do uh what needs to be done here. So, brothers and sisters, so we can go with that strength. When we obey uh when we you know, willing to do whatever is already very clear 1:29:25 and then God will show us the next step. So, that's what happened when I considering about marriage and all that, I don't have full picture about what to do. But God showed me one step. If I took that step with faith and then God showed me another 1:29:45 step. So, I cannot stand here in the first step and say Lord, I don't see the 10 steps. And then I cannot go to the 10th step. So, all that I have to do is just go to the next step. So, and then when I looked at all that how it happened, so I 1:30:03 can think about this verse what I read, as you go step by step, I'll open the way before you. >> [snorts] >> And another thing about I was reminded of 1 Thessalonians. Now, this is very familiar verse to each one of us. 1:30:22 But I just wanted to read 1 Thessalonians uh chapter 5 verse 16 onwards. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give 1:30:42 thanks. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. And you see God says, give thanks for everything. You know, sometimes we will be thankful for uh you know, unknown strangers in the bus or some we will be very polite with 1:31:01 you know, people whom we don't know much. But am I having that attitude of gratitude with the people whom you whom I live uh uh throughout my day with my children? Even if they are disobedient or with my wife. 1:31:20 You know, in every situation, in every circumstances, you know, God placed us in different circumstances. Work spot may not be sweet, but sometimes God allows those situations. I remember once uh on a Sunday morning we were getting 1:31:35 ready everything, but something happened. Uh child started showing up tantrums and then uh you know, within my heart that anger is started burning. So, and then I after the day went I went back to the Lord, what happened? Yesterday only I 1:31:52 was thinking, Lord, thank you for helping me to get over this anger. I I thought I don't have any anger. But what happened? Why my anger was born? But the Lord reminded, see that situation I allowed so that you know what is in your heart. So, I really 1:32:08 thank God for such situations and the circumstances where God takes us through so that I will know what is in my heart so that I'll not be deceived. You know, this is clear word that I should be giving thanks for every situation. And 1:32:23 in this context the Holy Spirit Paul inspired by the Holy Spirit writes, do not quench the Holy Spirit. You know, the Holy Spirit is so important for us as a Christians if you want to walk in this light, right? But how do we 1:32:38 quench that Holy Spirit? If you develop that habit of the attitude of bitterness in our hearts, then we'll slowly putting water on that fire. So, you know, in these the some some of these things are very clear and God is 1:32:55 calling us to follow and do his will. When we start begin to do these things, you know, God will slowly open his ways and then he will show us his will. You know, when we wanted to do his will, he will not throw roadblocks in our 1:33:12 life. You know, I was reminded of this verse from uh 2 Chronicles 6:9. You know, for the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that he may strongly support those whose heart is completely his. You know, uh when we 1:33:28 wanted to do his will he doesn't want to make us make our life miserable, but he will open up each our ways and then he will uh help us and then he wants to strongly support each one of us. May the Lord help each one of us to do his will. 1:33:46 Amen. Brothers and sisters, we can just close our eyes and pray. Our gracious heavenly Father, we we come with a heart of come to coming 1:34:06 to you with a heart of gratitude. Thank you for speaking to us. And Lord, show us the next step, Lord, to many of us who seek your will. Show us the next step. Open our eyes to see the things which you want us to see, Lord. Fade everything else, Lord. 1:34:22 And fill us, Lord, with the Holy Spirit. Anoint us. Fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit that we may have the strength to walk in your ways, Lord Jesus. I pray, Father, that anyone who's sitting here with a heavy heart 1:34:35 Lord Jesus, encourage them and send them with the joy in their heart and and a spring in their steps. Thank you, Father, for hearing. In Jesus' precious and mighty name we pray. Amen. We'll have the announcements now. Presenting the book of this [music] 1:35:01 month Needed Men of God by brother Zac [music] Poonen. Throughout the centuries [music] the men and women whom God's been able to use 1:35:21 to route [music] the forces of darkness to make a lasting impact upon the heathen for [music] his name and to establish a testimony for his glory have always been few in number. The blessings of God are received by many. 1:35:39 But the working remnant that labors together with God has always been a small [music] group. Out of Gideon's army of 22,000 God could use only 300. The proportion has [music] been about 1:35:56 the same throughout church history. Few are willing to pay the price of being part of that remnant. The eyes of the Lord are running to and [music] fro throughout our land today looking for such men. 1:36:14 Men of spiritual caliber whom God can use to glorify his great name where it is at present being reproached. May this book help you to become such a man. >> [music] [music] 1:37:03 >> Look at the announcements for today. Immediately after the main meeting, there will be a 30-minute
