Transcript 0:00 [Music] As we sing Our songs of praise this morning and I was thinking that before we come to a Sunday meeting meeting we prepare our hearts to hear the Lord's word but it's also good to prepare our 0:19 hearts to sing his praise and to give him thanks even if it's just a few minutes just to ponder um on the things that the Lord has shown us the things that he's done for us just this past week we don't have to go um well into the past but we'll have 0:35 so many reasons that we can come here with a fresh mind to praise him for and to thank him um uh this past week's um daily reading had uh Psalm 119 in it and verse 65 stuck with me uh Psalm 119:65 you have treated your servant 0:55 well oh Lord according to your word and I stopped that verse and said Lord that is my testimony you've treated me well you've dealt with me well the ESV says and if that's your testimony this morning if you feel the Lord has treated 1:08 you well let a song of Praise fill your heart no matter what song we're singing just that attitude of gratitude Lord I'm here to sing your praise cuz you've dealt with me well we're going to sing about what Jesus did for us uh this 1:23 first song says oh what a wonderful day we might not remember the the specific day we were born again but we remember the season we remember where Jesus picked us up from when we were at our worst he sent us a wonderful savior so 1:35 let's sing his [Music] Praises oh what a wonderful wonderful day day I will never 1:51 forget after I wonder in darkness Jesus my Savior I met oh what a tender compassionate determine in our hearts to spend time in secret with him second where says take time to be holy the 9:32 world rushes on but spend much time in secret with Jesus alone even though the world is rushing on all around us we we have safety in that secret space with Jesus where we spend time with him and those moments will remain 9:48 with us he will strengthen us he will give us Grace to fight our battles and this this verse convicts me it's not just encouraging but it convicts me to do that more and more if I see weaknesses in my life areas where vulnerable to sin or to temptation to 10:02 spend much time in secret and to look to Jesus and my friends in my conduct will see his likeness soon in me this is a promise and I want to claim [Music] it take time to be 10:20 holy speak off with thy [Music] Lord abide in him [Music] and feed on his [Music] 10:36 word make friends with God's children help those who are weak forgetting and 10:51 nothing his Blessing to seek take time to be holy the world rushes on spend much time in 11:10 [Music] secret with Jesus Alone by looking to Jesus like him Thou shalt 11:27 be thy friends in thy conduct his likeness shall see take time to be 11:42 holy let him be thy guide and run not before him whatever be 11:57 tied he in Joy or in sorrow still follow thy Lord and looking to 12:13 Jesus still trust in his word take time to be holy be in thy soul 12:29 each thought and each temper beath his control thus led by his spir to Fountains of 12:48 Love th soon shal be f for service above [Music] 13:10 give me one pure and holy passion give me one magnificent obession give me one 13:27 glorious ambition for for my life to know and follow hard after you to know and follow hard after you to grow as your disciple in your 13:51 truth this world a line and we're going to sing it again in this next song that he saved the worst Among Us when he saved a Wretch like Me and I was 15:45 thinking how some this is a testimony song it's we're singing this song and the next as our testimony my testimony my story but I realized how it's easier to quote a verse like Romans 3:23 and kind of ize it and say and say we've all sinned and 16:01 fallen short of the glory of God but it's harder to quote a verse like 1 Timothy 1:15 where Paul said Christ Jesus came into the world to save Sinners among whom I foremost you don't see that on a shirt printed out and people wear but I was thinking this 16:15 morning that as I think these lines that that's the verse I'm proclaiming and is that true is that what I believe it's true but is that what I believe that I have been not only forgiven much but forgiven the most and that's why I'm grateful this morning 16:31 that's why I stand before my savior and I see his scars and I'm grateful and I am
