0:00 So first of all I want to thank all those who prayed for me to be able to come here. I am very rarely sick but the last two weeks I was very sick. 0:23 And so I was not sure whether I would be able to come. But God is good. Our body belongs to Him. And there is a beautiful verse which I always claim, which I can encourage you also to claim. 0:54 Whenever any of you are sick. And that is 1 Corinthians chapter 6. Verse 13. 1:15 The middle of verse 13. It says, "The body is not for immorality but for the Lord." And the Lord is for the body. 1:39 And he also speaks in the first part of that verse about food. Food is for the stomach. Stomach is for food. God will do away with both of them. So there are two ways in which we can spoil our body. 2:00 One is by too much food. And the other is immorality. Food is the God of some people. Food is the God of some people. 2:23 That is what the Bible says. In Philippians 3. And verse 19. Some people that God is their belly. 2:43 Is that amazing? Is that amazing? That some people that God is their stomach. So we have to make sure that food doesn't become our God. 3:06 We must always be content with whatever food we get. If you complain about food. It is an indication that food is your God. 3:31 I decided many years ago that I will never complain about food. Whether it is tasty or not tasty. Little or much. Eat food only to live. 3:54 So it says, 1 Corinthians 6:13. Food is for the stomach. Stomach is for food. God will do away with both of them. The second thing, this body. 4:16 We have a tremendous drive for food. And we have a tremendous drive for sex. These are the two strongest desires in our body. And both of them have a possibility of becoming a God in our lives. 4:39 But if you say to the Lord, food will not be my God from now on. Help me. Give me grace for that. You know that is one of the purposes of fasting. 5:01 That we break the power of food over our body. That we break the power of food over our body. And from the time you are born again, it's good to develop a discipline. For fasting once in a while. 5:21 You can easily, if you are a young person, fast once a week, no problem. That will accomplish two things. 5:43 One, it will break the power of food over your body. And secondly, you will understand how hungry people suffer in the world. And if you break that power when you are young, you can grow up to serve the Lord where food will have no power over you. 6:19 Many, many people are useless for God because food has got such a hold on them. Wherever they go, they want people to serve them good food and things like that. And they complain so much against their wives for not being good cooks. 6:47 God did not say, Adam needs a good cook. He said, Adam needs a helper. Who will help him in his ministry. Help him in his ministry. 7:08 So immorality, that's the other area. It says the body is not for immorality. We have to, especially men, we have to break the power that sex has over our body. 7:29 Fasting can help you there also. So then it says, the body is for the Lord. Then what is the promise? The Lord is for the body. 7:50 That's a wonderful promise. Many, many years I have claimed that. I say, Lord, I don't want to do anything in this body except your will. This body is not for making money. 8:11 This body is not for eating food. This body is not for immorality. This body is not for looking at dirty pictures in a magazine or on the computer. From head to foot this body is for you. 8:35 I'm not saying you'll never get sick, but you'll find that the Lord is for your body. Sometimes the Lord will allow us to get sick to make us realize we are weak. The Bible says the outer man decays. 9:01 But that will not affect our serving the Lord. So I will encourage all of you, especially young people. Decide that your body will be for the Lord. Then the Lord will be for your body. 9:25 He'll preserve you. So we were thinking earlier on about what the world is. And let me repeat, the world is used in two ways in the New Testament. 9:49 They had no understanding of this in the Old Testament. Why? Because the Holy Spirit had not come into their hearts. Even the disciples who walked with Jesus did not know about this during those three and a half years. 10:15 So when Jesus told them on the last night. What we read in John 14:30. At the Last Supper. The ruler of this world comes and he's got nothing in me. 10:42 They did not understand it. Because they were Old Testament people. The New Testament started on the day of Pentecost. Till then they were Jews. Their understanding was all from Old Testament. And there's no mention in the Old Testament of the ruler of the world. 11:07 The only earthly rulers like Nebuchadnezzar and Pharaoh and all that. And in their time Caesar. But who is this ruler of the world Jesus is talking about? They understood after the day of Pentecost. 11:29 No, we are not Old Testament people. All of us must know who the ruler of the world is. Then Jesus told his disciples. In John 16. Verse 12. So. 11:49 I've got many more things to say to you. But you can't understand them now. He's saying. I have many things to say. But if I tell you all that you won't understand it. Because they were like kindergarten students. 12:10 Because they were like kindergarten students. They are in first standard. And the teacher says to the first standard children. You know as you grow up. You need to study geometry. Physics. 12:31 Science. So many subjects. But. You can't understand that now. You are in the class one. So that's how they were there. But. That doesn't mean. That they would never understand it. 12:52 He said. After the day of Pentecost. Verse 13. When the spirit of truth comes. That is the day of Pentecost. When he comes. He will guide you into all these truths. Which I cannot tell you now. 13:13 So now. We are living. After the day of Pentecost. So all those things. That Jesus could not explain. To his disciples. Now we can understand. But yet. I find so many believers. Don't understand. 13:33 They are like students. Who sit in the first standard. For 25 years. You know. We don't want our children. To sit in a class. For two years. One year. Then we must go to the next class. That's God's will. For all of us. 13:54 So we must know. What the world is. And who the ruler of this world is. And what are his tactics. Paul told the Corinthians. In 2nd Corinthians 2. Verse 11. So that no advantage. Should be taken of us by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes. 14:07 For we are not ignorant of his schemes. And who the ruler of this. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. 14:11 And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. And who the ruler of this world. For we are not ignorant of his schemes. We must not be ignorant of Satan's tactics and tricks. 14:48 Did you hear that? We must not be ignorant of Satan's tricks. And he mentions one of his tricks here. What is that? Don't forgive somebody. 15:08 He says I forgive. Otherwise Satan will take an advantage over us. That is one of the tricks of Satan. To destroy your life. Somebody did some harm to you. And you don't forgive him. You may say he did so much harm. 15:28 I cannot forgive him. But when you don't forgive. It is like drinking poison yourself. Supposing somebody does harm to me. And I don't forgive him. And I don't forgive him. He is not suffering. I am suffering. 15:51 Because first of all God will not forgive my sin. But Jesus said if you don't forgive others. God will not forgive you. Secondly God will not hear my prayer. And very often I won't be able to sleep properly at night. 16:11 Because lying in bed I will be tossing around thinking about that man who harmed me. What a fool Satan makes of many believers. What a fool Satan makes of many believers. So Paul says I am not going to be fooled by Satan. 16:29 I will forgive people immediately so that Satan can take no advantage over me. So as we grow in the Christian life. We must be more and more aware. Of how Satan tries to. 16:53 He is the ruler of this world. And I told you that one of the ways in which he. Tries to deceive us is by making us think. That money is the most important thing in the world. And that is how he makes some believers. 17:16 The lies to get more money. To cheat in the examination. To get a promotion and get the job. Do you know that. Satan offered Jesus also money. 17:37 I will show you that. In Luke chapter 4. Luke chapter 4. We read. 18:02 He. Verse 5. Satan led Jesus up to. A mountain. And showed him all the kingdoms of the world. In a moment of time. And he said. And he said. I will give you all this. And its glory. 18:25 What is the glory that he offered? The glory of the world that he offered Jesus. The thing that men covet the most in the world. The thing that men covet the most in the world. Money. Power. 18:45 Position. He said. I will give everything to you. Because I give it to whomever I wish. All you have to do. All you have to do. Is bow down to me. Jesus rebuked him. Saying. You will only worship God. 19:06 He says. Get away Satan. Now how does the devil tempt you in that. He comes to you. Says. You want to pass on that examination. Just bow down to me. Just cheat. 19:27 You want to get that job. Just bow down to me. Give him a bribe. Many many things. You bow down to me. I will give you this job. I will give you this money. I will give you this. So many things in the world I will give you. 19:51 Do you know that every time you go against your conscience. You are actually bowing down to Satan. One of the things God. The devil offers. Believers. Is what the Bible calls the pleasures of sin. 20:18 You find that expression in Hebrews 11. Pleasures of sin. That's also part of the world. So when we try to understand this verse. That the world is passing away and all its lust. What is going to pass away? When you read that verse you may think it is this world with all the buildings and the trees and all will pass away. 20:49 This world is not going to pass away. Jesus is going to come and establish his kingdom on this earth. No. But there is another world that is going to pass away. And that is this invisible world controlled by the devil. 21:10 That is the world I have to hate. Not these buildings and flowers and all that. So. Satan tries to have power over us. Through the pleasures of sin. 21:30 Hebrews 11:25. It says about Moses. He refused to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin. I want you to think of that expression. 21:52 First of all, sin. Pleasures of sin. The bible does not say there is no pleasure in sin. See so clearly. There is pleasure in sin. Otherwise we would not choose it. 22:13 We don't normally choose suffering. It is not because of suffering that we choose sin. It is not because of suffering that we choose sin. We choose sin because of the pleasures of sin. So the bible does not pretend, oh there is no pleasure in sin. 22:33 Avoid it. The bible says there is pleasure in sin. But it also says. It is a passing pleasure. That means it won't last. 22:55 You will get some pleasure. Okay, you think of any pleasure of sin that you have indulged in in your past life. Right. How long did you have that pleasure? Short time. And then it is gone. 23:16 That is what the bible says. The passing pleasure of sin. And then afterwards. You reap the consequences of it. Because there is a law in this universe. Which is mentioned in Galatians chapter 6. 23:39 It is an unchanging law. Nobody can change it. It is a law made by God. Just like the laws in the universe. The earth. The earth rotates on its axis every 24 hours. 24:01 So the sun rises and sets. That is a law. Every day. Every day it happens. Here. Here is another law in Galatians 6. Verse 7. Whatever a man sows. 24:22 He will reap. This works two ways. Bad way. Good way. Verse 8. If you sow to the flesh. You reap corruption. If you sow to the spirit. You reap eternal life. 24:42 That is like saying in your field. If you sow bad seed. You get a bad crop. You sow good seed. You get a good crop. We don't realize. We don't realize. That our actions are like little sowing seeds. 25:03 No. The devil never allows you to see the harvest. No. The devil never allows you to see the harvest. So. He tells you of the pleasure of sin. But. He won't tell you what you will get afterwards. He won't tell you what you will get afterwards. 25:17 Because if he tells you what you are going to get afterwards. You won't do it. You read. You read in Genesis 3. What the devil told. Eat. He pointed out this fruit that God said don't eat. And we read that when the woman saw. 25:36 You see here. The lust of the flesh. The lust of the eyes. And the pride of life. You see here. The lust of the flesh. The lust of the eyes. And the pride of life. No. This world that we are talking about. John says. Is the lust of the flesh. 25:48 The lust of the eyes. And the pride of life. No. This world that we are talking about. John says. Is the lust of the flesh. The lust of the eyes. And the pride of life. What we are talking about. John says. Is the lust of the flesh. 26:02 The lust of the eyes. And the pride of life. That is the world that is going to pass away. But it started in Genesis 3. Here it is. The lust of the flesh. 26:23 She saw the tree was good for food. The lust of the eyes. The lust of the eyes. It was delight to the eyes. It says here. And the pride of life. It will make me wise. That is the world. 26:45 Right there. The world is right there. Turn with me to 1 John chapter 2. And verse 16. See we must understand verse 16. Before you go to verse 17. The world is passing away. The world is passing away. And all its lusts. 26:59 Verse 17. But what is that world? Verse 16. All that is in the world. The lust of the flesh. The lust of the eyes. The pride of life. Is not from the father. But from the world. Three things. Lust of the flesh. Lust of the eyes. 27:11 Pride of life. Now you turn back to Genesis 3. Lust of the eyes. Pride of life. Now you turn back to Genesis 3. And you see how the world is right there. It started in Genesis 3. And you see the God of this world is also there. That's the devil. 27:55 He came there. He tempted Eve with the same thing. He has been tempting people for 6,000 years. He said look at that tree. It's good for food. Doesn't it make a delight to your eyes. 28:16 It will make you wise. And Eve thought yeah. And she took. That is exactly how we sin. And then when we sin we make other people also sin. She gave it to her husband. And. Immediately. Their connection with God was broken. 28:35 And. Not only that. Their connection with each other was broken also. Now they had to hide from each other putting leaves around their body. Now. Supposing the devil had told Eve. 28:55 This is good for food. Delight your eyes. It will make you wise. You will enjoy it. 29:16 But. God will throw you out of the garden. If you. After this. And you live for 900 years fighting with your husband. And your first son will murder your second son. And your children grandchildren will have so many diseases. 29:39 And there will be thorns. The lions will become wild. Okay now eat it. She said no no no no. Please I don't want to eat it. But did. Did the devil tell all that to her? 30:01 No he hides what she is going to reap. After sowing. If some of you have reaped the consequences of sin in your life. He doesn't tell you what is going to happen in the future. 30:23 There are many people who get sexual disease. Because they go after a little bit of pleasure. There are people whose marriages are broken. Because they indulge in some sexual pleasure. Or. The devil tells young people. To look at. 30:41 Dirty. Sexual pictures. On a computer. Or. The devil. Tells young people. To look at. Dirty. Sexual pictures. On a computer. Or a magazine. And. These young people. Don't realize. That they are putting. 31:02 Pictures. Into their mind. Into their memory. Into their memory. And you know. If a glass gets dirty. You can clean it out. But when you put dirty things into your mind. It remains there. For. Ever. 31:22 If you put dirty things in your room. You can clean it out. If you put dirty things in your room. You can clean it out. But. What the devil doesn't tell you. Is what you put into your memory. Remains there. Forever. And. 31:35 What the devil doesn't tell you. Is what you put into your memory. Remains there. Forever. And. The more you put in. The more dirty. Your memory will become. And. The more you put in. The more dirty. Your memory will become. 31:47 And. After doing that. For four or five years. Putting all these. Filthy pictures into your mind. You must say. Oh Lord. Now I want to give it all up. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Does God forgive? In one moment. Every sin you committed. 32:01 Is forgiven. The blood of Jesus cleanses you. From all those filthy things. You see. That will not be taken away. You will reap. What you sow. You will reap. What you sow. You will not forgive. Not forgive. In one moment. 32:16 Every sin you committed. Is forgiven. The blood of Jesus cleanses you. From all those filthy things. You see. But. The pictures will remain. In your mind. For 50 years. That will not be taken away. That will not be taken away. 32:29 You will reap. What you sow. You will reap. What you sow. You will have problems. With your thought life. When you get married. When you are 50 years old. All those dreams. 32:49 Will come back to your mind. Which you saw. When you were. 18 and 19. If you don't believe me. Go and ask any older man. Who has done that type of thing. To tell you the truth. They may not tell you the truth. 33:09 But I know it is true. And. It will plague you. And trouble you. For the rest of your life. And you won't be able to meditate. On God's word properly. But. When you watch those dirty pictures. That's the second thing. That's the second thing. 33:29 The devil says. First. Money is the most important thing. Second. Sex. Is a very important thing. Very very important. You must enjoy. Sex. In your mind. At least. In your mind. At least. Until you can enjoy it physically. 33:42 You must enjoy it in your mind. Until you get married. Enjoy it in your mind. Until you get married. Enjoy it. In your mind. At least. Until you can enjoy it physically. You must enjoy it in your mind. Until you get married. 33:52 Enjoy it in your mind. Until you can enjoy it physically. Until you can enjoy it physically. For 50 years. He's a liar. Did he tell Eve. All the problems. That will come. By eating that fruit. Just once. She did it. We are all the children of Adam and Eve. 34:28 Everyone in the world. Look at all the evil. And wars. And death. And confusion in the world. And it all came out of one thing. That Eve did once. 34:49 Once. You do one wrong thing. Once. There are consequences. Did God forgive Adam and Eve? Forgive Adam and Eve. I believe he did. I believe he did. 35:10 Because I think he saw. That they were sorry. See it says in Genesis 3. He killed an animal. That is the first sacrifice. That was the first sacrifice for sin. When Adam and Eve had sinned. 35:33 And even though they blamed each other. And blamed the serpent. They acknowledged their sin. They didn't say. They didn't say. We did not do it. Adam said. I did it. But my wife told me. And the woman said. I did it. But the serpent. 35:54 They admitted their sin. The Lord God made garments of skin. For Adam and his wife. God made garments of skin. For Adam and his wife. Because till then. They were covering themselves. With leaves. 36:18 Now you and I know. That leaves will dry up. In a few weeks. You can't blame Adam. He was the first man. He didn't know that. He thought. These leaves will last forever. 36:38 So God said. I will give you something better. I will give you a dress. That will last. All your 900 years. And he gave. He killed an animal. Took off the skin. And gave it for the dress. 37:01 And before that. The blood. Of that animal. Was shed. That is a picture. Of Jesus. Being. Shedding his blood. For our sins. And then. His righteousness. Is put upon us. There is a picture. 37:21 Of that. Right there. In Genesis 3. So I believe. God forgave their sin. And clothed them. Clothed them. With the dress. And then he said. Okay now get out of the garden. I mean. They must have thought. 37:41 Oh God has forgiven us. Now we can stay here forever. I forgive you. But you have to be punished. Get out of the garden. Now you are going to sweat. And you are going to have. Difficulties. And all that will happen. So. 38:01 What did we learn there? God is a good God. He clothes us. He gives us what we need. Pergives our sin. But then he says. You have to reap what you sow. And they reaped. What they sowed. So. 38:21 Don't let the devil deceive you. These things are written. For our instruction. He will show you. Oh this tree. This is the greatest tree. In this garden. You must eat it. Wow. And that is how the devil deceive you. You must enjoy this. 38:33 Or this particular cinema. That has come out. You must watch it. It may be full of filthy. Half naked women. And you say. No but the story is very interesting. Even though there are. There are these half naked women there. 38:44 And you say. Models. In the. Models. Advertisements. Advertisements. Advertisements. 39:30 Advertisements. Advertisements. You know. Where it started. Where. Where did it start. God. Gave. Adam. And. Eve. A. Proper. Dress. For. Their. Whole. Body. They. Had. Covered. Themselves. With. Two. 39:50 Three. Leaves. And. If. You can. Picture. Covered. With. Two. Three. Leaves. That. Is. How. A lot. Of. Women. Dress. Nowadays. But. God. Threw. 40:10 That. Away. And. In. That. In. Genesis. Three. About. How. A. Woman. Should. Dress. You. Must. Teach. Your. Daughters. That. Not. To. Follow. The. I told the young girls in our church in Bangalore. I am proud of you young girls who dress modestly in the midst of your college and all where everybody dresses immodestly. Because God clothed man and woman. And what God does the devil undoes. 40:56 God put a dress and the devil takes it off. So we got to see the tactics of Satan here. The God of this world is out to destroy your life. He will tell you there is pleasure in sin but he won't tell you it is a passing pleasure. 41:21 He won't tell you that you are to reap one day what you have sown. And he hides from you the real pleasure. That was the tree of life was there. In the garden. Oh he said don't look at that. This is more exciting. There is another type of pleasure the Bible speaks of. Which is not a passing pleasure. 41:52 We saw the passing pleasure of sin. Let me show you another pleasure in the Bible. That is the tree of life. Psalm 16. Psalm 16. Psalm 16. 42:13 Verse 11. The last part. Lord in your presence there is fullness of joy. And at your right hand there are eternal pleasures. 42:37 Not passing pleasures. This is the opposite of what we read in Hebrews 11.25. Where do you get this eternal pleasure? In the presence of God. That is where the Holy Spirit seeks to bring us. 42:59 That is why we must seek God in prayer. To be filled with the Holy Spirit. The most important thing you need to pray for. Which I pray for every day. Every day. Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit. 43:22 I don't pray for health every day. Because most of the time I am already healthy. We pray for health when we are sick. But every day I pray Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit. Because. The Holy Spirit will bring me into the presence of God. 43:45 And in his presence there is fullness of joy. And there are eternal pleasures. And when I enjoy those eternal pleasures. I will not be tempted by the passing pleasures of souls. 44:05 If Adam and Eve had gone to the tree of life and taken that first. They would never have been tempted by this tree of life. Why are some of you tempted so much in the sexual area. 44:25 Even though you are a believer or a preacher. You are still sinning in this area. And in your thoughts you are falling and falling and falling. And sinning in secret. You know why? 44:46 Because you are not going to the tree of life. The devil says come here. Here you get some pleasure here. You get some pleasure here. And you listen to that liar. Go and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and bring you into God's presence. 45:05 He will satisfy you with such pleasures that you will not be hungry for that. I will give you an example. Jesus told a story of a prodigal son who went away from his father's house. 45:29 When he was in his father's house he was not eating pigs food. He was eating such good food. Enjoyed it. But then he went away from his father's house and wasted all his money. And you read in Luke 15 he became so poor that he wanted to eat what the pigs were eating. 46:00 You must read what Luke, what it says in Luke 15. Eating what the pigs are eating. Have you seen pigs what they eat? Even a beggar won't eat what they eat. 46:21 So imagine how low this boy had come. That he is so hungry as to eat what the pigs are eating. When a person wants to see dirty sexual pictures. That is the same thing. 46:42 Eating what the pigs are eating. Why? Because he is not going to his father's house. Then one day he repented. And he comes back to his father's house. Then he could eat such good food there. 47:02 And when he was eating the fatted calf. The father had made all that wonderful curry. Sitting at that table. Do you think the boy was thinking. I wish I could go back and eat some of that pigs food again. 47:27 No. But if the father had gone to the father's house. And the father said you are not going to get any food. And he is starving, starving, starving. Then he would want to go back to the pigs food. But when he is sitting at the father's table. 47:48 It is impossible to want the pigs food again. So I learned something from that. That if I sit at my heavenly father's table. And enjoy those eternal pleasures. And the fullness of joy. 48:09 And the word of God that he speaks everyday that stirs me up. And the joy of his presence that excites me. And the joy of being able to talk with him. 48:31 And to hear him talk to me. It is impossible to want to go and see all those dirty filthy pictures. So. Remember this. Whenever you are tempted. When the devil says. Sex is the greatest thing. You must have it. 48:56 And you are tempted strongly in that direction. Remember what I told you now. You are going for the pigs food. Because you are not sitting at the father's table. Come to the father's table. Read God's word. 49:16 Seek fellowship with God's people. Ask God to fill you with his Holy Spirit. You will not even be tempted with those things after that. In the beginning it will be there because you have done it so many times in the past. 49:39 See when we have fallen into sexual temptation so much. It is like climbing out of a deep pit. It is like climbing out of a deep pit. Every time you sin in the sexual area. In your mind. By reading dirty stories and watching dirty pictures. 50:01 Or watching filthy cinemas. You know sometimes. I don't know how the Telugu cinemas are. But all cinemas are pretty much dirty about the same. They will. They will. They will. They will. 50:21 They try to tempt you sexually with improperly dressed women. Who. They will. They will. They will. They will. They will. They will. They will. And. You may say. Well this is not long. Just for a little bit. 50:41 Only. Four or five minutes. In the rest of the two hours. The interesting story. You know what will happen. After ten years. You will forget the story. But you will remember those five minutes that you saw. That is what will remain in your mind for fifty years. 51:05 Because that is the thing that. The devil puts there. So like Paul said. Don't be ignorant of Satan's tactics. So. This is the God of this world. Who is trying to control people. 51:31 If the devil wants to destroy you. He first wants to get your mind. And he knows the easiest way to get into your mind. Is through your eyes. Through the eyes. Pictures go into your mind. That go there forever. 51:56 What you hear through your ears. Goes into your mind. But it doesn't stay so long. But what you see. Goes in there forever. And the devil knows that. The devil knows that. The devil knows that. So.
