You understood the reason now? 7:02 Only one reason Pride But you may say I think I am quite a humble person I think all the Pharisees thought they were very humble Till Jesus exposed their pride And I have seen that 7:24 Most proud people Do not know that they are proud Most proud believers Don't know they are proud Most proud elders Don't know that they are proud And that gives a warning to me 7:46 What warning? Lord, I may also be proud And not know it So how to find out Something which I don't know There is one way The Bible says Looking unto Jesus 8:08 We run the race If you meditate on the life of Jesus You will automatically discover your pride See in the Old Testament We have an example of that In Isaiah chapter 5 8:31 Isaiah was a great preacher He was probably the holiest man on earth at that time And he never preached And he never preached anything that was wrong He was inspired by the Holy Spirit And he condemns a lot of sinners in Isaiah 5 8:52 Now some of you who are elder brothers May see that you also sometimes preach like this And to your congregation And what you are saying may be correct Verse 8 Verse 8 Woe to those who have added house to house 9:15 And joined field to field Until there is no more room He is cursing people who just are interested in Buying more and more property To make more money Verse 11 Woe to those who get up early in the morning 9:36 To get drunk Stay late in the evening To get drunk Verse 11 And then again He says in verse 18 Woe to those who drag iniquity With the cords of falsehood Tell lies 10:01 And keep on living in sin Verse 20 Woe to those who call evil good And good evil And who put darkness in the place of light Verse 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes 10:22 See the number of people he is condemning Then after God heard all that God knew that Isaiah was a sincere man But he knew that if Isaiah has to move forward Into a true spirit of prophecy 10:44 He needs to see God So one day Where chapter 6 Verse 1 He sees the Lord Now you can't see the Lord Whenever you feel like God has to be gracious To give you a vision So God gave Isaiah a vision 11:11 And there And there In the temple He saw the seraphs With six wings And he saw That they were not saying Woe to the drunkards And woe to the sinners And woe to this And then the seraphs And the seraphs 11:31 And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs And the seraphs He said He saw them Looking at the Lord 11:40 Not at all the sinners He saw the Lord And said Holy, holy, holy And then he realized That in heaven They are not always Condemning the sinners Parisees do that 12:04 In heaven They are occupied With God You know the earth Is like a small Speck of dust When you look at it From heaven All the planets Are like little Specks of dust And they are 12:26 Occupied with God And they say Holy, holy, holy And what about The earth Says in verse 3 The whole earth Is full of his glory Isaiah thought The whole earth 12:47 Is full of sinners But the seraphs Say No, there are so Many wonderful things God has created We praise the Lord For that They were occupied With so many good Things that God Had done And when Isaiah 13:07 Saw that He didn't say Woe is so and so And woe is so and so He said in verse 5 Woe is me Because I have been Using my lips In a very bad way Dear brothers and sisters 13:29 Have you ever felt Like that Have you ever seen In your spirit The glory of the Lord That you say Woe is me I am such a sinner I am not imagining That everybody Around me is holy No 13:51 That would be Deception The people around me Also he says They are also unclean Like me He sees that I live in the midst Of a people Of unclean lips But I am also A man of unclean lips Compared to them 14:12 I am a little better But compared to God I am filthy So We don't have to live In a world Of imagination Imagining everybody Is holy When they are not holy But we must be realistic 14:34 To see that There is sin in us too It's like in an Examination in a class Say mathematics Examination results Have come out And that fellow Got one out of hundred Another person 14:57 Got two out of hundred And you make fun of them What type of fellow You are Two mark Another fellow Got one and a half And you are waiting For your result And you got Three out of hundred You feel so proud 15:20 I am better Than all these others And then you meet Some other students From another school How much did you get In the max examination I got 98 This chap got 99 Suddenly you feel 15:44 Very small How were you proud Five minutes ago Suddenly you became Humble It all comes out of comparison It all comes out of comparison Pride Comes out of comparing Ourselves with others Who are not as good 16:04 As we are And humility Comes out of comparing Ourselves with people Who are better Than we are But the devil Will make you Concentrate On comparing Yourself With people Who are worse Than you are See he got 16:28 Only one He got two You got three He will not Allow you To compare Yourself With those Who got 98 And 99 And 100 God gives His grace To the humble And I will Tell you something It's a secret 16:49 I have discovered Through many years Because you know I also have A battle With pride Just like you Every human Being has got A battle With pride Every human Being has got A battle With the love Of money The beggar 17:12 And the rich Man Do you think That you don't Have a battle With the love Of money You are deceiving Yourself Do you think You have no Battle with pride You are deceiving Yourself I don't Deceive Myself There is 17:33 Every human Being I know Battles with pride And the love Of money But I have Learned the secret Of how to Overcome Very simple Compare myself With somebody Who got 100% That is Jesus Christ 17:53 He was Completely free From the love Of money He was Completely pure With his eyes He was Always humble And I look At him And there is No more pride Left in me So dear 18:15 Brothers and Sisters This is This is Let us run The race Always Fixing our Eyes On Jesus You remember The story Of Peter There was a day When the Lord Said come out Of that boat And Peter 18:37 Peter left All the other Disciples And came out Of the boat And he started Walking on the water There was a day In your life When the Lord Told you also To come out From among your Relatives And from that Dead denomination 18:53 You came out Of the boat And you looked At Jesus And you were So happy And you were Walking Then how did Peter begin To fall How is it Some wonderful 19:14 Brothers who Started out So well Are now Stumbling And sinking In the sea There are People sitting Here You know Yourself That you Are stumbling And drowning I'll tell you 19:35 Why Because you Took your Eyes off Jesus And started Comparing yourself With other Believers And you Don't Realize That it's The devil Who's Made you Do that Not to Make you 19:55 Humble But to Make you Proud He knows That if You keep Your eyes Only on Jesus You'll be A humble Person The devil Is not Afraid of Clever People He's Afraid of Humble People He's Not afraid Of Great 20:16 Preachers Your Congregation May Admire you Because They Don't Have Discernment Because You can Preach Well Or Because You've Got Some Other Qualities But The devil Is Afraid Of Only One Type 20:36 Of Person A Humble Person And A Humble Person Is One Who Never Compares Himself With Other Believers He Only Compares Himself With Jesus He Doesn't Pretend That The Drunkard 20:56 Is Not A Drunkard He Doesn't Imagine That Everybody Around Him Is Holy He Sees That They Are Sinners But He Sees Sin In Himself Also But When He Looks At Jesus He Is Not Only Humble But 21:16 He Is Encouraged Because He Knows Jesus Can Save Him From His Sin When We Look At Others We Can Either Become Proud Because We Are Better Than Them Or We Can Become Jealous Because They Are Better Than Us 21:36 So Either Way There's A Danger I Look At People Who Are Worse Than Me I Become Proud I Look At People Who Are Better Than Me And I Become Jealous The Best Thing Is Not To Look At Either Of Them Run 21:59 The Race Looking Under Jesus And Then When I Preach To Sinners I Will Still Speak Strongly But I Will Speak With Compassion So That's Why God Gave Isaiah This Vision And 22:22 Then After He Saw This Vision And He A A Sin Something Wonderful Happens When You A Sin It Says One Of The Seraphs Verse Six Took A Fire From The Altar And Put It On Isaiah's Lips And He 22:46 Touched Isaiah's Lips And This Is Your Iniquity Is Taken Away Your Sin Is Forgiven Verse Seven Now You Got The Fire Of God On Your Mouth Now There's Something Very Wonderful That I See Here That Coal 23:06 Which The Seraph Could Not Touch Isaiah Could Touch You Know You See There Seraph Could Not Take It With His Hands He Had To Take A Tongue It Is So Hot But 23:29 That Can Touch Isaiah's Lips What Does Teach Us That We Can Receive An An An An An Fire Which Even The Angels Cannot Get Even If You're A Brother Or A Sister Young Or Old You 23:49 Must Pray That The Fire Of God Will Touch Your Mouth I Pray That All The Time I Say Lord I Want The Fire Of God On My Tongue All The Time Not When I'm Preaching Alone When I'm Talking To Somebody Who's Come To See Me In 24:09 My House I Want The Fire Of God's Love Upon My Tongue And The Fire Of God's Purity See The Fire Does Not Only Symbolize Purity I Think It First Of All Symbolizes Love Because 24:34 You Know Jesus Spoke About In The Last Days The Love Of Many Will Become Cold So What Does That Love Need Fire And Then The Lord Said Okay Now I Want To Find Out Who Can Go For Me As 24:55 I Said I'm Ready Lord Verse 8 Send Me And Now The Lord Said Now You Can Go And Preach To The People And Tell Them What I Have To Say You Know Until You Have Acknowledged Your Sin 25:15 And Until You Have Got The Fire Of God Upon Your Lips If You Try To Go And Preach You Will Be Going On Your Own But Once You Have Acknowledged Your Sin And The Fire Of God Has Touched Your Lips Then 25:36 When You Go God Would Send You There There There Is A Lot Of Difference Between Going To Somebody Sent By Myself And Going To Somebody Sent By God Even Jesus Did Not Come From Heaven Till The Father Sent Him And 25:58 Even When He Was On Earth He Did Not Leave Nazareth Until The Father Said At The Age Of 30 Now Go So Learn This Lesson God Gives His Grace To The Humble Now I Want To Show You Something About Humility Which Maybe We 26:18 Haven't Understood We Must Study Humility Why Do I Say That I Show You One Verse First In Matthew 11 And Verse 29 You Know This Verse 26:38 Take My Yoke Upon You And Learn From Me Okay What Should We Learn From Jesus We Don't Have To Learn How To Preach We Don't Have To Learn How To Sing Look At The Number Of Years People 26:59 Spend Studying So Many Things Necessary For Life On This Earth They Spend 20 Years In A School And A College They Spend Lacks Of Rupees Studying In A School In 27:19 College They Spend So Many Hours Learning How To Play An Instrument Properly That's All Good For Life On This Earth But If You Want To Be A Spiritual Person In Addition To All That You 27:40 Must Spend Some Hours Learning Humility From Jesus He Says Here Learn From Me For I Am Humble And Gentle He Never Told Us To Learn From Him How To Preach Or How To He He 28:01 Said Learn From Me How To Be Humble Because We Are Not Naturally Humble You And I Are All Naturally Very Proud People And The Lord Says Learn From Me How To Be Humble And 28:23 We Are Naturally Very Hard People So He Says Learn From Me How To Be Gentle Jesus Was Not Gentle Against Sin But He Was Gentle Against Sinners There 28:45 Was Only One Type Of Sinner Whom Jesus Spoke Very Hard Against Not the adulterer, not the murderer, not the thief. The hypocrite. Jesus spoke hard against hypocrites. 29:06 And may God give me grace to speak hard against hypocrites all my life. And to speak gently to every other type of sinner. I want to learn from Jesus. Jesus says, learn humility from me first of all. 29:32 That's a command. I want to ask you a question. How many of you have gone to Jesus and said, Lord, teach me humility? For many, many years, I have sought to learn from the Lord what is humility. 29:55 I never asked Jesus to teach me how to preach. I asked him to teach me how to be humble. It's good to learn to preach like Jesus. So that we don't imitate all these American preachers. And the television preachers. 30:17 They are not my example. Don't follow them. There are all types of tricks these people try, which is all psychology. Don't imitate the Pentecostal preachers. If you want to imitate someone, follow Jesus' preaching. 30:40 You know, I was once in another country and we had a question-answer time. So one of the questions somebody asked me was. Brother Zach, in the middle of your sermon, why don't you say hallelujah? 31:03 So many of the Pentecostal preachers do that. I said, they've got nothing to say. That's why they keep saying hallelujah. I've got so much to say. So half the message is hallelujah. No, half of their message is hallelujah. 31:26 If I keep saying that, I won't finish what I have to say. And second reason, I said, when they say hallelujah, they're trying to think, what should I say next? And the third and most important reason, is I never see Jesus doing it. 31:52 I don't see him saying, blessed are the poor in spirit, hallelujah. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, hallelujah. No, I never see him saying it even once. Do you know that in the whole New Testament, the word hallelujah comes first in the book of Revelation? 32:16 Did you know that? None of the episodes you read hallelujah. In Jesus preaching, you never see hallelujah. Only when you come to Revelation, that also towards the end, chapter 18, then you see hallelujah. 32:45 And then, why do they say hallelujah there? Hallelujah, because Babylon is destroyed. That is a good thing to say hallelujah for. Let me show you, Revelation 19. Verse 2 and 3. 33:06 They say, hallelujah. Because God has judged, verse 2, the great harlot was corrupting the earth. And second time, they said hallelujah, verse 3. And you ask them, what is the second hallelujah for some other reason? 33:29 No, no, no. Same reason, the Babylon is destroyed. And all the elders say, yes, amen, hallelujah for that, verse 4. So, I say, amen, hallelujah, when Babylon is exposed and destroyed, corrupt Christianity. 33:56 What is Babylonian Christianity? Money-loving preachers. Preachers who are after people for their money. Preachers who are seeking honor and position. Preachers who want to join up with political leaders. That is Babylon. 34:18 Jesus never joined with political leaders. Jesus never asked anybody for money. That is Jerusalem. So, if you want to say hallelujah, say hallelujah for the destruction of Babylonian Christianity. But what is humility? Let's learn humility from Jesus. 34:42 Because there is a lot of wrong understanding. Some, many wrong understandings. Some people think if you walk with your head down like this, you are very humble. Do you think Jesus always walked around like this? I don't think so. 35:01 I think Jesus walked very upright. Some people think humility is always having a long, sad face. Do you think Jesus always went around like that with a long face? He had so much joy on the day before he was crucified. 35:21 He said, I want to share my joy with you. I want to be a joyful Christian all the time. Supposing you go with a long face to somebody. Say, do you want to accept Christ? 35:42 He says, no thank you. I have got enough problems already. Be a cheerful person. That is not humility. Our humility is going around with very simple clothes. Or humility is always saying, oh, I am such a wretched sinner. 36:08 Say that to God. There is no use telling other people that. Isaiah didn't go around telling everybody, oh, I am such a man of unclean lips. He said that to God. So, what is the right understanding of humility? 36:29 The humblest man that walked on this earth was Jesus Christ. He did not go around with a long face. He didn't go with his head hanging down. He could wear simple clothes. Sometimes, he wore something expensive also, which was so expensive that the soldiers at the cross didn't even want to tear it up. 36:57 They wanted to try and... I don't think Jesus did not go around with a long face. I don't think Jesus spent money buying that. He did not go around with a long face. I have wondered, how did Jesus get such an expensive dress that the soldiers did not want to tear it up? 37:26 I cannot imagine Jesus spending money buying such things. These are the things I meditate on to try and understand Jesus. Because I want to follow him. I got an idea. I think his mother must have stitched it and given it to him and he decided, okay, I'll wear it because my mother gave it to me. 38:00 And he was not bothered what will other people say, oh, Jesus, you're wearing this fancy dress and all that. He was not. One wonderful thing I've learned from Jesus, he was not bothered what other people said about him. 38:19 He lived before God's face. That's all. What a wonderful way to live. That's why he was so free. He didn't have to explain anything to people. So what is humility? You see it in Philippians chapter 2. 38:44 You understand this, brothers, and you really understand humility. And you will get grace more and more every day of your life. And that will not only enable you to overcome sin. It will bring you into wonderful fellowship with other people. 39:06 Verse 5. Have the same attitude in yourself which was in Christ Jesus. What is that attitude? Though he didn't hang on to that position but came down. That means he did not walk around this earth as if he's a very big man. 39:33 He didn't go around. He didn't say, do you know who I was before I came here? Nobody in Nazareth knew that this is Almighty God walking on the earth. Nobody in Nazareth knew that this is Almighty God walking on the earth. 39:49 They thought he thought he was an ordinary man. They thought he was an ordinary man. They thought he was an ordinary man. Do people know you as an ordinary man? Then you are really following Jesus. I remember in the early days in the conferences in Bangalore. 40:14 I used to tell my wife, you must be such an ordinary person that nobody in the conference knows who is Zac Poonin's wife. Then you are really following Jesus. 40:36 And I think she really succeeded. I have seen some elder's wives who, if they want everybody to know, I am the elder's wife. There are many Pentecostal churches, the pastor's wife is assistant pastor. It is all against the word of God. 40:59 Jesus, though he was God, he came and lived like an ordinary man. If you are really like Jesus, you will move around people as an ordinary man. Even if you are very qualified, you will not impress people with your qualifications. 41:26 Let them think you are stupid. Let them think you are uneducated. We must, Jesus made himself like his brothers in all things the Bible says. That is the first mark of humility, Hebrews 2.17. He made himself like his brothers. 41:51 What does that mean? When you are in the midst of educated people, you can be like them. When you are in the midst of very poor, uneducated people, be like them. When you are in the midst of 17-year-old young men, talk to them like a 17-year-old. 42:14 When you are talking to a 7-year-old child, you become 7 years old in your mind. I want to do that. I love to talk to little children, just as if I am a little child myself. And I talk to them about the things that children are interested in. 42:37 I learned it from Jesus. And you can learn it from Jesus too. I have seen many elders and preachers, they don't know how to talk to little children. They only know how to talk to grown-up people. Do your sisters, older sisters, know how to speak to little children? 42:59 Not your children, other people's children I am talking about. Can you smile at them and talk to them just like you are their age? This is the first lesson we have to learn from Jesus. See, the difference between God and man 43:19 is much more than the difference between me, a 70-year-old man, and a 3-year-old child. And if God could become a man, in order to help us, why can't I be in my mind like a 3-year-old child to talk to him? 43:53 I believe that if you learn this from Jesus, you will be able to speak to people much better. Come down to their level. Become like them. Like in English, there is a saying, put yourself in that person's shoes. 44:18 Or, let's say it in Tamil, put yourself in that person's chapels. That means, the meaning is, try and imagine what that person is going through. So, you talk to your sister, for example, who's got a non-Christian husband who's always beating her and hammering her. 44:47 You try to imagine, if you are beaten and hammered by somebody, how you'll feel. Every day. How will you feel? And some of these battered sisters come to church Sunday morning. 45:09 And the elder also hammers them and beats them with his words from the pulpit. Poor woman. She gets beaten at home and beaten in the church also. That is not, Jesus wouldn't do that. But it happens. 45:31 It is all foolishness. These are elders who are not looking at Jesus. Who don't make themselves like the poor people who are struggling there. He made himself nothing. And then it says, he made himself a servant of everybody after coming here. 45:58 You know, I left my job 44 years ago when God called me to serve him. And I remember something clearly the Lord told me way back then. If you are going to be my servant, you have to be the servant of all men as well. 46:22 If you are going to be my servant, you have to be the servant of all human beings. And you must serve the rich and the poor equally. The older people and the children equally. 46:42 The men and the women equally. I learned something there. You cannot serve God without being a servant of others. Jesus became a servant. That's why when they tried to make him a king, he ran away. 47:04 And then I want you to see the greatest mark of his humility. Verse 8. Verse 6, verse 7, verse 8. These are steps in humility. And what is the greatest mark of it all? He was obedient unto death. 47:27 The greatest proof of humility is that I am willing to die. And that's what God did to me on the cross. You know, this is a great mystery. But I will try and explain to you what it means in Romans 6, 6. 47:48 That our old man was crucified with Christ on the cross. You know, this is the secret of victory over sin. I believe many of you have not understood it. We can understand that Jesus died for our sin. 48:10 But we cannot understand how we were crucified with him. Now, I want to try and understand that. First of all, by showing you another verse. Ephesians 1, verse 4. 48:32 It says here that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. Where were you when God was creating the earth in Genesis 1, verse 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? 48:50 Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? 48:55 Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? 49:00 Where were you when God was living in Genesis 1? Do you know that God knew about you before you were born? Do you know that God knew about you before you were born? Yes or no? Why? Because God knows the whole future. 49:23 Just like you can see a video of something that happened in the past. Yeah you can see that. For example they have taken a video of yesterday's meeting. You can see that what happened yesterday. 49:48 God can see a video of what is going to happen tomorrow. You can't see it, I can't see it. God can see a video of what is going to happen next year. That is God. He can see a video into millions of years in the future. 50:15 And so way back in the past. He could see me. He could see you. As he looked into the video of the future. He saw me accepting Christ one day. He saw you giving up your idols and accepting Christ one day. 50:43 Other people saw it only now. But God saw the video of you accepting Christ millions of years ago. And he knew your name. Before he made Adam. 51:04 Before he created the heaven and earth. In his mind. He knew my name. He knew your name. That's why he says he chose us before he created the world. That's why he says he chose us before he created the world. See. Actually Ephesians 1:4 comes before Genesis 1:1. 51:27 And it says he doesn't just know us. He chose us in Christ. So when did he put you in Christ? Before the world was created. He created it. 51:48 Okay. Let me picture that now. Supposing this is you. And this is Christ. And you are in Christ. Okay. You are there in Christ. When? 52:08 Before. Genesis 1:1. You are there. Because in God's mind he knows you. Then one day. Jesus comes to the earth. And he is killed. 52:29 You are there. He was killed. He was buried. You were also buried. Because you are there. See. He rose up from the dead. You were there. You rose up from the dead. He ascended to heaven. 52:51 In your spirit. You are there in heaven. It says that in Ephesians 2:6. We are seated with Christ. In the heavenly places. Not only we died with him. We are raised up with him. 53:12 And we are seated with him in the heavenly places. You understood it now? It says in Romans 6 now. What does it say? Therefore. Verse 11. 53:33 Now consider yourself dead to sin. Why? Because verse 10. When he died. He died to sin once for all. Now he lives before God. He is not going to die anymore. Verse 9. 53:54 It says death no longer is master over Christ. Even so. Verse 11. You also consider yourself dead. Dead to sin. Alive to God. This is something we have to use our mind. 54:14 That means when I am tempted. I say Lord. I want to consider myself like a dead person now. For example. If your husband shouts at you. Or your wife shouts at you. 54:36 Or your neighbor shouts at you. Very angry. What should you do? Now you know as a child with the flesh. We like to talk back to that person. And they say no Lord. I am dead to sin. 54:57 What will this dead person do now? If you shout at a dead person. No response. You kick him. No response. Lord I want to be like that. Some very pretty woman walks by him. 55:18 Some pretty woman walks by him. The dead man doesn't even open one eye. He is dead. What a wonderful thing it is to be dead. This is what Jesus said meant when he said. 55:38 Pull out your eye. He couldn't explain dying with Christ that time. In Matthew chapter 5. But the meaning is the same. I am dead. But that doesn't mean I do nothing. Because it says. 55:58 It also says I am alive. I am alive unto God. So I may say something to the person who gets angry with me. I will say something gently. I will say something gently. There is a lovely verse in Proverbs. Chapter 15 verse 1. 56:20 15. A gentle answer turns away anger. That's good. It's easy to keep quiet when somebody is angry. That's good. It's to be dead. But if you are alive unto God. 56:40 You will also give a gentle answer which is more difficult. Because when you keep quiet. It may indicate that you are angry but you are keeping it inside. But when you give a gentle answer. 57:02 You may get clear. I don't even have any anger inside. Dear brothers and sisters. The secret of victory. Is to die to sin. Be alive to God. Let's pray. Heavenly Father. 57:23 Help us to walk this way all our days. To really understand that humility leads to death. Like it was with you. We pray in Jesus name. Amen. Амин. 58:09 Субтитры создавал DimaTorzok
