0:24 Thank God for the privilege to be with the godly ones. I'd like to share a few verses that is in my heart. Proverbs chapter 30 0:54 We can read from verse 21, please. Under three things the earth quakes and under four it cannot bear up. Under a slave when he becomes king, and a fool when he is satisfied with food, 1:12 and an unloved woman when she gets a husband. Fourth thing, and a maidservant when she supplants her mistress. In the internet or in YouTube or in 1:40 news, we hear and see about so many earthquakes that happens in different countries. Yes. another earthquake But here But here about a different kind 1:59 of earthquakes earthquakes that happens. Now I would like to take And then out of the four I'd like to take two things. Under this under three things the 2:20 earthquakes. First thing under a slave when he becomes king. Verse 23 under an unloved woman when she 2:42 gets a husband. Then in 23 it talks about you know woman and if it is not mentioned about husband 2:59 then there is no balance there. Verse 22 a slave That's why we read in verse 22 itself you know a slave when he reigns. This evening I'd like to share few 3:25 verses in relation in relation to our family life husbands and wives. Family strength church strength the strength of the family is the strength of the church. You know to the extent that we as a 3:46 husband and wife are an example to our children then to that extent we can to them. Even after listening to all these truths 4:06 in our church, you know, there are homes where there are earthquakes earthquakes that that's in the Richter scale about 8.5. Um it's unbearable. Always there is a you know, trembling 4:25 there. Just how when the earthquakes happen, there is a shaking that those families will always be shaking. In all such you know, families, they 4:41 haven't put a good foundation yet. And there is a weakness in their personal godliness. In the church, we have heard about this uh so many times. Okay. I'd like to paraphrase uh this words 5:02 when talks about, you know, a slave who reigns. Um money I will say I do my What is he a slave to? He is a slave to, 5:25 you know, food, love for money, anger, um sex, money, irritation, lie, anger, he is a slave to 5:42 different kind of sins. But how would this husband rule? He will rule arrogantly like a king. Yes. Arrogant. Arrogance. Now Purusha. Now the leader. Now the head of the home. 5:59 Now husband. I'm bigger than Arrogance. He will So I that he is the husband of the house and he is the head of the house. And he will rule arrogantly. But he is a slave. On the other hand, he's a slave to sins. And the hand of such a husband will be 6:26 like a yoke and will be a burden to the wife and the children at home. I want to tell this about myself. In the 6:43 in the beginning of my life I've been a yoke to my wife and the children. We didn't We didn't and tidy up the For me, the house have to be neat and tidy. I don't know what they want. I want to be the one. Why? That's because that's how I've been brought up. 7:02 I don't know The supper had to be tasty for me. The food had to be tasty for me. So you put for the I was a slave to such things for many years. The children And you know coming from background the 7:22 family becomes if four children I can't expect such things at home. I don't I don't know. But my hand was a burden. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't I don't know. You don't know. Arrogance. I don't know. 7:39 I am being a slave to sin myself, but I was ruling arrogantly at home. And that is what we read in verse 22. But by God's grace, when I moment I 8:04 entered CFC, I heard such glorious truths. We saw the glory of Jesus. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Seeing the glory of Jesus will bring change in our lives. The Holy Spirit, you know, in the 8:30 church, through the godly brothers, when he showed the glory of Jesus. I want to show one verse. The verse Many of you may know this verse. 1 Corinthians chapter 11. 8:54 This verse is specially for the husbands. 1 Corinthians chapter 11. 1 Corinthians chapter 11. Verse 7. For a man 9:14 So, for man is or the husband is the image and the glory of God. The woman is the glory of man. If you have not seen this verse, I you 9:33 know, honestly request you to see this verse. For man, image and glory of God. For a man is the image and the glory of God. It was not written about the woman like that. But the woman is the glory of man. And this is God's expectation. He 10:05 expects the image and the glory of God, you know, from the man, the husband. If the husband fails to show the image 10:29 and the glory of God, then he brings dishonor to the name of God. I want to repeat it again. I bring dishonor to God's name. As a husband, if I fail to bring the image 10:48 and glory of God, then I bring dishonor to God's name. And this verse came to me very powerfully. What I expect from you, I don't expect 11:05 that from your wife. Only the wife. And your wife is the glory of the husband. And to the extent that I show God's image and glory, that will be reflected 11:21 in in in my wife's life. I mean it. You know, I have seen this throughout my ministry. You know, many when I say many 11:40 I mean it. Many are blaming their wives. They have failed to see verse seven. Why are they like that? Because the 11:58 husband is like that, the wife is also like that. And in this there are some rare exceptions. But in in our lives the husband should 12:16 show the glory of God. For example, the verse that we took for meditation. How was Jesus? He was a true slave. 12:37 I want to show that from Luke 22. Luke chapter 22. Luke 22. And let's talk about the family there, the bride and the bridegroom. bridegroom 13:01 Jesus Christ and the bride church. Okay, how do you do it in the I mean that you would think of something in Luke 22. Luke 22 verse five. You know, the heathen kings when they 13:22 rule, they rule with arrogance. Yes. Their authority and the way they rule, there is some arrogance in it. Verse 26, it should not be the case in 13:41 your midst. Yes. Come on. You know, the husband, the greatest, should be like the leader, like like servant. And he's saying in 14:03 middle of verse 27, "Among you, I am like one who serves." Last part. But I am among you as the one who serves. This is the image and the glory of 14:27 Jesus. And as a husband, I should manifest this image and this glory. Just like Jesus was a servant, and I 14:45 have to be a servant. Yes, I will lead her. He was the leader there. And he knew in what circumstances that you had to rebuke him and what 15:02 circumstances that you had to rule them. And he rebuked Peter. Mother Mary rebuked him. He rebuked his mother Mary. Yes, you will be so lonely Jesus the partner. And we see such things from the life of Jesus. 15:20 All of that. he was like a servant. For example, for example John 13 John 13 image and glory of Jesus. What we are meditating is the image and glory of Jesus. John 13 John 13 John 13 number one and number one 15:44 article How much you would have seen John 13 in our lives? Praise the Lord. Beloved, what we read here is not just one day incident. Example, verse four 15:59 John 13 verse four John 13 verse four Read here, he got up from supper. Usually 16:19 No man is upset when he is disturbed while eating and sleeping. I was tempted in this area. So, my wife will bring everything to the dining table. You know, one or two things would be missing. 16:37 Uh the salt salt or curd or one or two things are missing on the dining table. And she would ask me, "Oh, can you please get it?" And I would give a look. 17:01 After everything, then getting up from the seat. In the initial days, the words would come out from the mouth. Oh, we are the king. How would we be the king? They are servant. They are servant. You know, before we sit, we have to keep 17:26 everything. Now we're changing a little bit. I'm giving a look. Then getting up from We read here, you know, just in one sentence got up from supper. You know, are sleeping. 17:55 You know, we we are we lie down on the bed and the wife is saying, "Oh, can you please reduce the fan a little bit or turn off the light?" Then another look. You could have told me before. Supper and sleeping, 18:16 this is in our flesh that we don't want to be disturbed when we are eating and sleeping. Beloved, belly is not our god. Got up from supper. Now, what is interesting or surprising 18:34 for me is He laid aside He removed laid aside his garment. And he took a towel and girded himself. And verse 5, he poured water into the basin. Till then, all the 12 disciples were 18:53 sitting and watching what Jesus was doing and this is really surprising for me. I couldn't believe this. Imagine this, you know, if a godly man 19:11 among amongst us is getting up would be, "Brother, you please sit down, let me do it." I'm going to say all that. We will do that, isn't it? But all of us All the maharajahs are sitting and watching what Jesus was doing. 19:28 And Jesus was like a servant there. What and all he did, got up from supper. He laid aside his garments, second thing. And they are not thinking, "Why is he laying aside his garments?" Third thing, taking a towel and girded 19:46 himself. Fourth thing, pouring water into the basin. And began to wash the disciples' feet. Then wiped them with towel. Washed the disciples' feet and wiped 20:07 them with a towel. Till then, all the 12 were sitting and just watching. What kind of bride was that? This is glory of our Lord Jesus. Yes, this is the glory of our Lord 20:26 Jesus. And he said, "I have shown an example to you." Yes, beloved, if you have meditated 20:42 Christ like this, then we will weep. To wash you know, the feet of 12 disciples and to wipe, how many times you would have 21:00 bent and got up? Oh. While the disciples were sitting and he had to, you know, move the basin from one disciple to the next disciple, bend, 21:20 wipe, clean, and go to the next disciple. So, how much time he would have spent? And yes, beloved, this is how as husbands we can show the image and glory of God. This is not just one day incident. 21:47 You know, in 30 years when he was in Nazareth, this was his work. His brothers they mocked at him and he was like a stranger to his brothers. Yes, beloved, at a very young age we 22:11 need to show Jesus to our children. We need to show the glory of the Jesus who was like a servant. In in you know, 22:33 today as husbands what kind of husband are we? I would like to point out the three categories of husbands. Let us judge ourselves, you know, and 22:51 ask ourselves what category do we belong to? So, now now very very bad bad truth I am not saying. This is practically in everyday life I am saying. You know, I I want to talk about the family life. I'm not talking about some 23:06 big truths here, some practical things here. How Jesus did things practically? Three types of husbands. First category, they would do without 23:24 asking them. Husband either say you love her or you don't. Going without even asking. You know, nobody need to ask them. The wife doesn't need to ask the husband to do certain things. The moment they see a 23:43 need and realize a need, they will step in and do things. For example, kitchen garden or or need a vegetable garden or a sink bathroom or wash the dishes or or a mop the floor or or a mop the floor or washing machine or cleaning the floor 24:02 or washing the dishes or cleaning the floor or washing the dishes or cleaning the floor or washing the dishes or cleaning the floor or washing the dishes You know, kind of practical help at home. Maybe some help in the kitchen or doing the 24:14 vessels or cutting the vegetables or loading up the washing machine or drying clothes or folding clothes or mopping or cleaning the house. When they see the need, they will do it. Yes. And such husbands, you know, they have 24:33 grown up in their spiritual life. Second category, they will do when they are asked to do. They will do when they are asked to do. Can you please cut this for me? Can you please load the washing machine? Could you please clean the floor? 24:54 When they are asked to do, they will do. You would take. This is another type. There's another type of husband. Even if they were asked to do certain things, they won't do. Even after telling them, they won't do. But when it comes to exercising 25:17 authority, you know, they excel at it. And such husbands, we should say Richter scale 8.5. Earth trembling. The trembles. You know, we've seen in some families 25:37 uh the wife also will go to work in the morning time. Recently, I know of a family, you know, in one of the churches where they went up to divorce. They were not divorced. So, I know all the transactions that 25:59 happened there. This is the statement of the wife. I read the mail from the wife, and this is what she stated. I need to go to job to earn for you. I have to prepare the breakfast and 26:19 lunch for everyone at home. And you don't do any help for me in the morning. homework And you don't help with uh you know, homework for the children. When I come back in the evening, I have 26:41 to wash all the vessels. And she had quoted mentioned all this. When we when I read it, you know, I was so you know, I was so sad. glory and image of God and 27:02 zero light Now, when it talks about the husband showing the glory and the image of God, the husband had zero light on it. Beloved, we have to show mercy. In the beginning uh my Christian life, I 27:22 was like that. in the village that I lived in The wife would say, "You know, I need to 27:47 go to the ration shop. Can you come with me to get some things? Can you take me uh in the two-wheeler?" She would have told me at 10:30 in the morning. I was I would have been busy in something or other. Um was not intentionally that I avoided. 28:06 I was busy in something or other. She would have told me once or twice. I was I would have responded saying, "Yes, yes, let's go. We'll go." So, She would think, "Okay, that maybe he's 28:27 busy." And she would take a bag and go by walking. She would be standing in the ration shop. I would be looking at the house. Where is she? She was telling me to take to the shop. Where is she now? You look down there. 28:46 Oh, she shop. So, I forgot about it. Immediately lock the house, take the two-wheeler, and go to the shop, and she'll be standing there. Now, I'm seeing which queue is shorter, 29:05 the ladies' queue or the gents' queue. If the gents' queue is shorter, I would take the ration, you know, cards from her and stand on the gents' queue and buy things, and while coming home, I say, "Sorry." 29:25 And we will come together. Yes. This is how I came initially. And God is God has brought me to a place where I do without, you know, asking. And this is the life of Jesus. 12 were 29:47 there. In the upper house, you know, there's a Passover. And in the house, there was a slave. The owner had a slave. 30:03 And he brought the water. The owner should have been a secret disciple of Jesus. And why there was no servant to wash the feet? Because Jesus was there, and when 30:23 he is there, he is the servant. Okay. So, he did not invite any slave there. And please arrange the upper room and keep the water. We will take care of the remaining things. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. It's the glory of 30:39 Jesus. This is the glory of Jesus. Family, life, especially in the family. Church, in the Beloved, we have to be servants. We shouldn't be, you know, ruling or exercising authority. May God give us light in this area. Luke 31:00 chapter 10. Luke 10. One more verse for the husbands. Luke chapter 10. Luke 10. Jesus what he did. It is verse 27. I don't remember the verse. Luke 10:27. Luke 10:27. Beautiful 31:19 verse. We can, you know, put the whole of Bible or commandments in this verse. You should love your God. 31:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. And your neighbor as yourself. And this is, you know, the all of 31:57 commandments, the whole Bible is in this verse. Loving the Lord with all our heart. Loving the Lord with all our heart. And loving our neighbor as ourselves. Okay. And man there asked Jesus, "And who is 32:18 my neighbor?" Okay, Jesus what he did parable of the good Samaritan. And Jesus immediately told the parable there. Uh, verse 31. A man who was going to Jericho fell among robbers and stripped him and they beat him and left him half dead. We 32:30 read about a man who was going to Jericho, who fell among robbers and stripped him and they beat him. Okay. Half dead. Okay, verse 31. looked and passed by. And Levite passed by on the other side. 32:54 33 Samaritan, you know, when he came, he saw and felt compassion. Those we see in verse 31, 32, 33 like this. 33:12 saw him and passed by. saw him and passed by. 33 saw him and felt compassion. And we are this beloved. And you are who is my neighbor? 33:30 You know, the understanding of my number one person in my understanding in the neighbor of the yard in the garden of the yard For many years, this is my understanding. When I think about neighbor I mean I would be I would be in the 33:43 garden of the yard person who is staying next door. In the garden of the yard, the number one person neighbor For many years, this was in my mind. When I think of neighbor, for the person who is staying next door is my neighbor. 33:58 You know, the number one person in the garden of the yard in my understanding of the garden of the yard Beloved, if you have such an understanding, let us erase that understanding today. Number one person in the garden of the yard 34:09 neighbor today My neighbor is not who is staying next door. In the garden of the yard, the number one person in the garden of the yard, the number one person in the garden of the yard, the number one person in the garden of the yard, the number one 34:21 person in the garden of the yard, the number one person You know, the wife and the children whom I can see and who are very close to me Those are my neighbors. Sometimes, you know, they may be depressed. 34:41 They may be weak physically. Satan might have made them to fall down. Yes. And we see here he fell among robbers. Psychologically or spiritually or 35:03 physically, you know, they are weak and they have fallen down. And when I see and do not attend to it 35:24 and rather pass by it, I have failed. I have failed to manifest the glory of the good Samaritan. I need to attend to it. Yes. 35:55 Whether they are physically ill or mentally ill or they're depressed, I need to do what I have to do to lift them. And this is what Jesus said, "Go and do the same. Show mercy." And love your wife just as you love 36:13 yourself. Who is that neighbor? Not somebody. And those who are with us in our homes. Beloved, this is true spirituality. And I praise God for such truths. Yes, 36:35 one more truth also. One more truth for husbands. For husbands, this is a glory and image of the Lord. This is the glory and the image of our Lord. John 21. John 21. John 21. Jesus. In the bride and bridegroom, but 36:55 in the problem, even here we can see the bride and the bridegroom. In the in the verse you might have read it now. Please don't forget this verse. For sure. Image and glory of God. The husband, how is he? He is the image and the glory of 37:10 Lord. In the in the image and glory of our God we can see the image and glory of our Lord here. Okay, already disciples Jesus denied him there. I would do it disciples have denied our Lord Jesus and they have, you know, they 37:29 run off from him. Now in John 21 they have gone back to the world. Denied. Denied bride. Denied bride. If Jesus what did Jesus do there? That is the glory. And this is the 37:47 glory. Early early morning. Early in the morning. The Aladdin and the magic lamp and the money which can I say that or bread toast and the uh or fish and ready money he did not prepare the bread toast and the fish like Aladdin and the magic 38:06 lamp. And you know he blew to make make fire. Char he blew the charcoal to make fire. Verse nine verse verse nine. verse 9 They saw a charcoal fire already laid 38:31 and fish placed on it and bread. And he prepared everything. To whom? To the disciples who denied him, who ran ran away from him, and went into the 38:50 world. He looked He looked for such disciples and went behind them. And verse 12, Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." What a spirit that we see here. 39:13 And he made everybody to sit and be fed them. Even here, we see the glory of Jesus. Look at verse 15. Verse 15 When they had finished breakfast Imagine this, did he ask Peter like 39:34 this? You know, correct now, Peter. You know, okay. He didn't ask Peter like this, "Okay, everything is okay, Peter, but look at me. Look at my face and answer me. How 39:50 could you deny me for three times?" He didn't He didn't ask that question at all. Glory of our Lord Jesus. This is the glory of our Lord Jesus. His gentleness, his meekness His gentleness and his meekness Praise the Lord. 40:07 He did not ask the question at all. Oh, what a height that he is and how much we have to grow. Number number You know we claim that I'm the head of 40:29 the house, I'm the leader, I'm the king. Everything is right, but who should come down first? The head of the house should come down first. I'm the bottom. They have to come down first. Yes, I'm I'm weaker than weak person. Yeah, the other 40:41 person is a weaker vessel. They may They may not have gone to the world or they may not have gone back to their parents' house, but they may be in their room, locked their room. And we have to go and knock the door. 41:05 And we have to open the door and invite them for Oh, come, let's let's eat. Oh, we are not going to cook and keep it on the dining table. They have already 41:25 cooked. Need to take it and keep it on the dining table, open the door, and invite them and say, "Okay, yes, it was my mistake. Come, let's eat now." Some when they go and do such an act, they will start the second shift. 41:53 When they go to set things right, now they will say, "Yes, it was my mistake, but you know, you said something, I said something, it's all fine. Come." And immediately they would say, "What? Did I say something? It's because you told 42:05 first, then I said this." shift will start then. Second shift. The beginning of my I have done two shifts like this. I received, I know, many many times many corrections from 42:23 the Lord. And John 21 glory. This is the glory of John 21. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. We need to When we see this glory, and the mighty God by the power and we are transformed to such a glory. Yes, we have to go and invite. So, they 42:41 will be invited. They may be discouraged. Shall we eat? Come, let's go and eat. Okay, please. Please forgive me. It doesn't come out of your mouth naturally. And it gets stuck here and doesn't come out. And when I'm in Tamil Nadu, I used to 43:04 say like this. Konnai way. I tell me later. I tell you later. You know, one who is stammering. One who stammers. He is not deaf and dumb. When the people had come to Jesus, the 43:27 ones there was a deaf and dumb spirit. Some sick people like this also have come to Jesus. They will not be able to They know, they are deaf, but they stammer. And Jesus would say "Hepatha" and touch 43:49 the ear. And all such ones they stammer. Kanda kanda I'm going to show that you know what I tell you later. What is the stammering? For speaking useless things, they will speak nicely. 44:08 When they would have to ask, do you have any sense? They would, you know, talk fluently. This person who stammers, when they have to say idiot or fool, they will fluently speak. This person who stammers, when they have 44:31 to say idiot or fool, they will say it fluently because they have they have been saying, you know, quite regularly. Sorry. I'm really sorry. I'm sorry. But 44:51 when they have to say sorry or apologize, they will stammer. They will stammer. They are stammerers. Yes, we have so many stammerers in our midst. They won't know how to say sorry. Beloved, 45:16 let us be transformed by the glory of Jesus. You are my pal. Let this words not be true in our lives. 45:32 Husbands who are slave to sins but rule arrogantly. You didn't speak to sisters at all. Okay. Let's talk for the sisters. Proverbs 30. Proverbs 30? Yes. 45:50 You read about sisters, women also there. Yes. When such women, they are they they are also Richter scale is 8.5. Um and the verse was a good verse 20 Um 46:08 next verse. Let's read. Um verse 23. Bitter woman, unloved woman There are different words used there. Unloved woman, bitter 46:26 woman. Beloved sisters. Now our glory now now Jesus will be the model for you. Yes, Jesus is your example, too. Even for the sisters, Jesus is the 46:48 example. For example, Philippians 2:11 Jesus glory in Philippians We read about the glory of Jesus in Philippians chapter 2. What is the spirit in the world today? Equality, equality. The spirit that we see in the world 47:09 today is that I'm equal to the husband, and I need to fight for my equality. Yes. The spirit in the world today And this is the spirit that we see outside. Yes, beloved, this is not the spirit of Christ. Jesus The son of David told me that David was 47:27 equal to the father. Son, Jesus was equal to God. He was God and he was with God. He was God and he was with God. David told me that David was equal to the father. He had the fullness of God. He had the glory and the divine 47:41 attributes and the power of God. He had the glory and the divine attributes He had the glory and the divine attributes and the power of God. He did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself. Praise the Lord. Praise the 48:01 Lord. All of the glory. And this is the glory of our Lord Jesus. But what is the spirit of the Lucifer? He was a created being. But he had the spirit that I need to go up and be equal to God. And for that he wanted to lift him up. 48:23 There are two There are two spirits. The spirit which wants to grasp to be equal. The other spirit did not consider the equality something to be grasped, but emptied. Yes, the wives have to see the glory of 48:45 Jesus and have to be like Jesus. Just like for the husbands, Jesus is the example. You know, even for the wives, Jesus is the example. No, you may be equal in so many different areas. 49:03 In your you know, knowledge. In your family back background. Or the skills that you have. Or in your earning. In so many things you may be equal. You You need You need to empty everything. 49:21 That is the glory. That I don't fight for the equality. In the world today that we see such a spirit. Lord, let me humble myself. To the extent that we humble ourselves. 49:40 To that extent we can glorify God in our life. In the village that I live in Thirukattupalli. You know, around me, so many paddy fields. To remove the chaff among the, you know, 50:12 real paddy, they will remove it once, twice, and thrice. But, some chaff they will grow and come along with the, you know, other paddy. We talk about the paddy there. 50:38 And there's one specific chaff there. And they call it as, you know, a particular name for the chaff. And that chaff will look exactly like 50:57 paddy. And there won't be difference between this chaff and the paddy. And in the same way that the paddy, you know, the plant keeps the paddy, same way the chaff will also 51:15 have it. When they remove the chaff the first time or the second time, when they see this chaff, they will think that this is the real plant and they will not remove it. But, we can see, you know, one mark of 51:35 that chaff. This chaff would have would look like the paddy plant and it will have, you know, the seed but it will stand erect. Because inside that, there won't be 51:59 rice. It will stand straight. And all the other ripe paddy plants, they will bend down. We can see it clearly. You know, 52:25 because it's the time for harvest, they won't remove the chaff. They will leave it. And when they reap and they will they come, they will remove the chaff and they will set it for fire. Yes, beloved. We shouldn't have that. 52:46 Yes, when I stand straight erect, then I don't have, you know, the real paddy in me. There's no content in me. There's no rice in me. But all the ripe or mature paddy, they 53:04 will bend down. We can keep this as an example. Whenever we have this Whenever we have this submissive spirit in us, we will bend down. 53:23 We won't stand straight. And all those who don't bend down and stand straight, all all such ones are chaff. We need that 53:40 gentle spirit. We we shouldn't stand for equality. For example For example An excellent character from the Old Testament. Second Kings chapter 4 Second Kings chapter 4 You might have seen it. Second Kings chapter 4 Second Kings 54:00 chapter 4 Um verse uh eight we are watching now. verse eight Second Kings 4 verse eight prominent woman who had a lot of 54:23 prominent woman when Elisha passed over to Shunem It is not written there why she was prominent. I would like to position that in the 54:41 villa. We don't know whether it's because of her family background or wealth or riches or some position that she was holding. We don't know. She was honorable or prominent woman. Yes, there are some silly Yes, even amidst there are some 54:57 prominent or honorable woman. When I went for a ministry, I stayed in a place. for one or two days I stayed there for about two days I would deputy collector. And she was a deputy collector. The husband, you know, he he was working 55:21 in the agriculture department and he gave VRS and he was ministering the Lord. And I saw the spirit of that wife there. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Such a humble and God-fearing sister. Such a humble and God-fearing sister. 55:37 Then I remembered this sister. Then I remembered this We don't know what's the background. But in verse 14, we read about her. Verse 14, last part. Verse 14, last part. Husband is old. Her husband is 55:56 old. Matching, mismatch. There's no match there. And they did not have children. And we read that there's she has no son. Verse 14. We don't know whether the husband is 56:19 prominent or not, but the wife is prominent there. The husband is old. No children. We don't know why they did not have children. In verse 13, we read about her. Last part. 56:36 In the last part of verse 13. And she says Verse 13, the last part. I live among my And she answered, "I live among my own people." Another translation in Tamil, it's 56:55 written saying, you know, I live here without any need. I am happy. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. See how she has honored the husband. For example, for example, And she wanted Elisha to stay 57:14 at her place. So, she wanted to build a room upstairs. She asked for permission to the husband. What a spirit she had. Holy Spirit. No, the Holy Spirit had kept a sister 57:36 like this hidden in 2 Kings chapter 4. This prominent woman, though the husband 58:00 is old and weak, she didn't do a thing independently saying, "You know, I'm going to build a room upstairs for the man of God." But she consulted her husband. If you say okay for it, we'll build a room upstairs. Otherwise, we won't. 58:20 And this is humility. Holy Spirit has kept such a woman in 2 2 Kings chapter 4. Prominent woman. And we 58:43 read about another prominent woman in the Bible, you know, wife of David, Saul's first daughter. King Saul's daughter. And she despised her husband. Why? Poor heart maker. Because David was a 59:02 shepherd boy. Who am I? I am a daughter, I am a princess, I am a daughter of a king. And whenever she sees her husband, she saw him as a shepherd boy. And she despised her husband. Family 59:25 back up. Because of the family back up. Standing erect. pushing and looking down on the spirit and looking down on the husband. In the army May this spirit be far away to the sister to our sisters. See how Bible and God shows us 59:46 different, you know, characters. Why don't I know what do you put the movie out of wire into? A prominent woman, you know, she honored her husband even though she he was old 1:00:03 and not able to give a child. We need about me going the other side. And she was a barren woman forever. And such people will not be able to bring forth fruit. Yes, let us remain in humility. 1:00:26 Let's respect the husband. For a moment let us not strive for equality. Let us honor and be submissive to them. Last word. Last word. Sometimes the husband may have to dis- 1:00:44 correct us or rebuke us. Sometimes they may even raise the voice. Whether they, you know, did it because of their foolishness or unwisely, that's not the thing for us. In all such places we should not 1:01:07 stumble. Proverbs chapter 9. Proverbs 9. Proverbs chapter 9 are we going to listen? Beautiful words in Proverbs 9. Verse 8. Verse eight. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will 1:01:29 hate you. Reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. I want to read this verse from from the from the back in the reverse order. A wise woman, yes, when her husband 1:01:57 reproves her, she will love him. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. A wise woman, when her husband reproves her, she will love him. Yes. And we read in the next verse that they will become still wiser. And we read in 1:02:15 the next verse that they'll become still wiser. Yes. Because, you know, the knock of the righteous man is an anointing to our head. A costly oil, costly anointing oil. 1:02:32 Yeah, but you know, when the righteous man smites me, it is a costly anointing to my head. And many times we pray, "Lord, anoint me. Lord, anoint us. Lord, anoint us." Yes. But there is an anointing like this. 1:02:57 Grace oil credited to our account. In our account, in our account, the grace would have been accounted or added. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Whenever a righteous man smites 1:03:14 Whenever a righteous man smites us, we have to love them and when we love them It's not just for the wives, we are telling for the whole church. I'm telling for the brothers in the church. But sometimes, you know, we are 1:03:34 corrected or reproved by the brothers. When we love them God will help us to grow in wisdom. I would really like to and God would credit grace into our account. And he would anoint us with the Holy 1:03:56 Spirit. And if we hate And such people are called scoffers. For example For example Jesus in front of everyone He called her 1:04:16 his mother woman. My time has not yet come. What does it mean? He said in other words, mind your business. Earthquake, Richter 8.5 You know, today 1:04:34 if some somebody tells the wife, mind your business, immediately there'll be earthquake in the Richter scale 8.5. Yes, 8.5. Mind your business. What? You You tell me to mind my business? That's it. 1:04:52 Dear sisters Dear sisters Calm down. Calm down. Let us not think too much about ourselves. Lord, let me take this reproof. Let me love my husband. You know, the mother of Jesus, Mary, she 1:05:13 would have shocked to Jesus, Mary, she would have shocked to hear this. 30 years in the water you can hear that. She never heard this verse for this word for 30 years. And she she would have been shaken for a moment really. 1:05:39 She immediately, you know, pulled her back and said, "Go and tell the servants, do what he says." And she went and sat. And she becomes still wiser. We know because she was she grew in 1:05:58 wisdom. In Acts we saw see that Mary is completely hidden. She become hidden. Because she has, you know, grown in wisdom. She had no prominence. 1:06:19 Mary was not um stumbled, was not offended. Sometimes the husband may have to discipline us or rebuke us. And I'm so glad we didn't We should not be offended. Jesus glory and we are This is how we 1:06:38 have to see the glory of Jesus. God has kept our home as salt to the earth. Salt to the earth. God has kept us salt to the earth. Let us not cause earthquake 1:06:59 to this earth. May God give us grace. Amen.
