sisters dear children how much do you think Jesus is worth that we should sing to him how should we sing what does he deserve there's nothing we can give that's worthy of him no matter how loud or how well we 0:40 sing it's never going to be enough compared to his great Majesty but he he wants us to sing and if you had one last time to sing for him on this Earth how would you sing this was the last time you get to do this on this Earth and then you get 0:59 to do it in heaven Heaven that's wonderful that we can do it in heaven but there's something different about doing it here on this Earth we haven't seen him with our eyes we hav haven't heard him with our physical ears but we know 1:13 him we've tasted his goodness he's done so much for us he's worthy to be praised and so let's sing from together in love in this local expression of your body thank you do it Lord I pray that with nothing in us will hinder you from knitting our hearts together no Pride or self-seeking or 21:48 selfish ambition or jealousy but that our hearts will be knit together in in your body because that glorifies you as the head when the body is knit together in unity likewise in our marriages Lord I pray you will knit us as husbands and 22:00 wives together that no coldness will come in between oh strengthen our marriages Lord we know the devil wants to get in there and bring a division or bring a distance even and unite our hearts we pray husbands and wives 22:12 together knit our hearts we pray pray for our children as well that you'll knit our homes together that our children will will be they will have their hearts knit together towards their parents and the parents to the children 22:23 Lord give us Grace as parents to be faithful examples to them that they won't see any laziness or lacad disiness in our hearts Lord but that we will have a zealous attitude towards the kingdom of heaven so that they too will have 22:35 that attitude when they're grown up we know they're watching us Lord so help us to be circumspect to be sober To Be watchful over our lives that we our garments are not soiled by the things of this Earth by the attitudes and the 22:47 Ambitions of this Earth so that our children also can follow that you might be glorified that you look down in our homes and you see Godly homes where the word of God is read where prayer is valued where we sing to you Lord and 22:59 that our thoughts our motives our attitudes our Ambitions how we use our eyes how we use our tongues is glorifying to you please do that Lord we can't do it fill us with your Holy Spirit I pray that us as men as leaders 23:11 of the homes that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit our wives will be filled with the Holy Spirit our marriages will be full of the Holy Spirit our children will be filled with the Holy Spirit you said they would be Lord and they too 23:22 would prophesy your word would be on their tongues do that father I pray in our children and in our homes and in this church a living testimony Lord we don't want a reputation here we don't want to be popular we don't want to be 23:33 liked we don't care what people say about us but Lord we want to be known in heaven and we want to be known in hell where the devil's afraid of us because we have authority we have your name established we honor your name we 23:44 glorify your name and therefore the devil is afraid of us Lord we believe he is and may it be so preserve us Lord as the days get darker as the times get more and more evil before your return we ask that you will preserve us Lord in 23:58 Holiness and Purity not in size or in numbers but in Purity Lord as many as you call into this place let it be Purity that's a that's a testimony of this church preserve us Lord we pray thank you thank you you will help us we 24:12 commit our Earthly needs to you as well Lord our um thank you that you've given us jobs you've given us homes to live in you've given us clothes to wear oh may we never be distracted Lord by the things of this Earth by the Fashions of 24:24 this world or the things of this world or the food of this world or the houses of this world and the Commodities of this world but that we will be taken up with eternity Lord thank you thank you for providing those for us and I pray 24:36 that in everything we will do we we we do we will give it back to you we will honor You by how we use our money we'll honor You by how we use our time and we pray for our bodies also that you that we will honor You by how we use our 24:48 bodies Lord every part of our body from head to toe every moment even our thoughts and our words and our Deeds our actions our motives our attitude udes Lord let it be honoring and glorifying to you and we s we pray Lord with that 25:02 in mind that you will heal our bodies we pray for many who are sick in our midst some who couldn't be here because they're sick others who are here would deal with constant pain and suffering and others who are suffering in other 25:12 ways Lord in their bodies will you this morning lay your hands on them Lord we have no power in ourselves we're weak our bodies are weak even if we think they're strong they're weak Lord but we rely on you we're helpless like the 25:24 branch in the tree touch those who are in need of touch from you a healing touch Lord that will raise them up so that we can serve you with our bodies joyfully and freely Lord unhindered so that we can fulfill your purpose in our lives and knit our 25:39 hearts together in this church in love Lord we don't want a Unity or a uniformity that comes from liking each other or tolerating each other or enjoying common interests Lord we're done with that we don't want anything of 25:51 that we ask for a work of your Holy Spirit knitting our hearts together because we've surrendered Our Lives to you our eyes are on you we fixed our eyes on you and our only ambition is to live lives that are pleasing to you and 26:03 out of seven churches and the Seven lampstands are the seven churches so here throughout the New Testament you'll 57:20 see that Jesus is in the midst of his church he's got the lampstands there he's in the midst of them and he's holding these Messengers notice doesn't say that he's holding all the people in the church yes he is but here there's a 57:34 wonderful picture we're given about how those Messengers Those whom God had called Jesus has appointed in the church certain ones to me as Messengers and different gifts he's holding them in his hand this is the picture of authority 57:48 that we're given now it's interesting that to me it's significant that Jesus that God used uses human agents to exercise his authority let's turn to 2 Corinthians chapter 4 you might think well does Jesus really need Apostles prophets evangelists 58:05 pastors teachers probably not God can do anything he doesn't really need us to perfect his work of Salvation And yet he chooses to and before we get proud and thinking well Lord I'm so good of me that you can use me whatever gift it might be even if 58:24 it's being a father father or mother or whatever before we get proud let's remember this 2 Corinthians 4: 7 Paul says we have this treasure This Life of Christ this Authority this calling this purpose that God has called us with this 58:41 treasure is in an earth and vessel in a human body so that not that so that I can get greater glory out of it or feel proud of myself so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves so when you see God using 58:59 human agents whether it's an elder in a church somebody with the gift of being an apostle or uh uh gift of prophet gift of Prophecy the gift of tongues the gift of interpretation of tongues the gift of an evangelist all these gifts when you 59:12 see God using you in whatever capacity's called you to be used you ought to be able to say God picked me to prove how great he was how because I'll say he could use even me horrible me that's what Paul is 59:31 saying that it's almost like I'm going to think of the worst possible thing I could think of to demonstrate my power I'm going to pick Santos do you see yourself that way if God gives you a gift to be a Godly husband or a godly father a Godly mother 59:46 a brother God gives you a gift of an evangelist a prophetic word on your tongue after you share that and somebody says brother thank you for sharing that that's exactly what I needed what should go through your mind I'm such a horrible person God 1:00:00 could still use me he is so great you see how different this is It's the exact opposite of the world where you get preachers who sit there on their Thrones and and act so in their nice suits and all that and are so impressed by they 1:00:12 they love the attention that that they get from people and on TV and they're looking at the camera and all this junk that's going on in Christendom it's a dishonor to the name of Christ and God is looking for those who when when God 1:00:24 is able to use them they want to go down and say Lord I I'm such a horrible person I'm such an earth and vessel and yet
