0:00 Девочка-пай 0:30 Our theme for this conference is, the truth will make you free. 0:52 There is a reason why we need to think about that. In every Christian denomination, believers are in bondage. 1:13 And the devil has made them think that they are free when they are not free. They glory in the differences in their doctrine. 1:37 Many of these groups have come out of other churches because of wrong doctrine. And when they come out, they think, we've got the truth. 2:00 Then after a few years, another group comes out of that saying, we've got the truth. Now many of us sitting here also came out of some churches saying, we want the truth. 2:21 And we also say, we've got the truth. So we have hundreds of Christian churches saying, we've got the truth. And all of them use the same Bible. 2:44 So how to find out who has got the truth? How to find out whether you've got the truth? Well, I'll tell you the answer the Lord gave me when I was a young man. It was this verse. John 8, verse 32. 3:10 You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. What freedom is it talking about? These people said, we're not enslaved to anybody. What do you mean? We shall be free. We can also say that in India. 3:35 Before 1947, we were enslaved to somebody. Now we are free. And Jesus said, I'm not talking about that freedom. I'm talking about only one type of freedom. 3:59 Verse 34. The one who commits sin is the slave of sin. And verse 36. If the son shall make you free, you will be free indeed. So he's not talking about being free from British rule or Roman rule. 4:28 There are some people who say, oh, they look at different denominations in your church. You all sit like as if you're in a funeral. No, they look at other churches and say, no, we must be free to jump and run around and shout and yell. 4:53 But that is not the freedom that Jesus is speaking about. Because that type of freedom, you don't need Jesus Christ. To jump and yell and scream, you just go and drink some alcohol and you'll do it without Jesus Christ. 5:24 If you drink enough, you will do those things. You don't have to be a Pentecostal. Just drink alcohol, that's enough. That is a false freedom. Then there are some people who say, I don't listen to anybody, I'm free. 5:49 He's usually the biggest slave of all. There is only one type of freedom, Jesus is speaking about here. It is being free from sin. And that is the freedom Jesus came to give us. 6:14 In the first sermon that Jesus preached in Luke chapter 4, in Nazareth in the synagogue, you read in Luke chapter 4, that he preached these verses in verse 18. 6:35 Why did the spirit of the Lord anoint Jesus Christ? It was to preach the gospel to the poor. Poor does not mean poor in money, it means poor in spirit. 6:57 Jesus did not say, I only preach to the beggars on the street. Because there are no beggars sitting here, then Jesus has no message for us. He's talking about poor in spirit, those who have a sense of need in their spirit. 7:21 The reason many people don't understand the gospel, is because they are not poor in spirit. The gospel is preached to the poor. I want to tell you, the more poor you are in spirit, the more you will understand the full gospel. 7:41 It doesn't depend on your cleverness. It doesn't depend even on how much you have studied the Bible. Some of you may have listened to hundreds of my messages, you will still not understand the full gospel. 8:05 The gospel is preached to the poor. To the poor in spirit. And that is the very first verse, Jesus spoke in the Sermon on the Mount, Blessed are the poor in spirit. And that means one who has a sense of spiritual need in his life all the time. 8:34 The kingdom of heaven belongs to them. They understand the gospel. Even if they are not very clever. So that's the first thing. And the result of hearing the pure gospel is this. 8:55 That the captives get released. That's what it says in the next sentence. Jesus was sent to proclaim release to the captives. The religious people in Israel were all captives to sin. 9:18 And Jesus came to set them free. But most of them did not want that freedom. They loved their traditions more than the freedom that Jesus came to give. Now, we don't have to criticize them. 9:39 Dear brothers and sisters, how is it with you? Jesus has been sent to us to proclaim release to every captives. Do you acknowledge that you are a captive? 9:59 That's the first thing. If you imagine that you are free, then the Lord will say, I didn't come for you. I came for the captive. Let me tell you that everyone who is still getting angry, losing his temper, is a captive. 10:23 Anyone sitting here who cannot control his anger is a captive. Anyone who cannot control his dirty thoughts, sexual thoughts, is a captive. 10:44 Anyone who tells lies when he is in a difficult situation is a captive. Anyone who is jealous of somebody else who has got something more than you is a captive. 11:06 Anyone who is longing for position and honor in the world or in the church is a captive. Anyone who is proud anyone who is proud that he is better than others is a captive. 11:27 That's one of the biggest captivities of all. If you are proud that your children are better than other people's children, you are a captive. If you can't forgive somebody else, you are a captive. 11:51 And we could go on like that. Most Christians are captives. They have not heard the full gospel. They believe their sins are forgiven. It may be true. But they are captives. 12:11 They speak in tongues but they are captives. They are baptized in the Holy Spirit but they are captives. They pray for the sick and they are healed but they are captives themselves. They have great honor as preachers and pastors 12:30 but they are captives. It's more important to be free from sin than to be a great preacher. How many of you when you look at a good preacher you say oh I wish I could preach like that. 12:53 Let me tell you that's not the greatest thing. The greatest thing is to be free from sin. Jesus did not come to earth to make preachers. He came to set people free from the captivity of sin. We need to read and read that 13:12 and read that and read that and understand it. It says he came to give recovery of sight to the blind. That's another thing I found among Christians. They read the same Bible as I read but they are blind to many things 13:32 written here. I was also blind when I read this book for many years there is a veil that the devil puts over our eyes when we read the scriptures. 13:53 And so so many things written in the scripture we don't take seriously because the devil has put a veil over our eyes. it has been my experience for the last 25 years as I have traveled in many parts of the world. 14:14 So many people have told me this. Oh brother Zach I read that verse for 30 years I never saw what you showed me today. I constantly get emails from people saying I never saw that in that verse till you showed it to me. 14:38 It was in their Bible all the time. Haven't you had that experience sometimes when you have come to some of our conferences that you saw something in a verse that you never saw before. You know what happened at that time? 14:58 The Lord lifted a veil from your eyes and you saw something that the devil had blinded you for so many years. Jesus has come to give recovery of sight to the blind. 15:20 When blind people came to Jesus he asked them what do you want me to do for you? First they said have mercy on us oh son of David that's just like Christians pray today oh God bless me the most common 15:41 prayer that Christians pray is bless me there's nothing wrong in that it's a very good prayer to pray that the Lord blesses us but sometimes the Lord may ask us like he asked those blind men don't just say 16:01 have mercy on me tell me exactly what you want and sometimes the Lord may say to us don't just say bless me tell me exactly what you want and those blind men 16:23 said Lord open our eyes we want to see why don't you pray that prayer it's a very beautiful prayer to pray it's a prayer that David prayed open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things 16:43 out of thy law he prayed that in Psalm 119 open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law because when in Psalm 119 verse 18 it's a beautiful 17:06 prayer to pray a blind man coming to Jesus you know I have prayed that prayer so many many times Lord open my eyes that I may behold amazing things 17:26 in your word which I haven't seen so far whenever you read the Bible pray Psalm 119 verse 18 open my eyes Jesus has come 17:47 to restore sight to the blind but if you pretend that you're not blind then the Lord will do nothing for you do you know even today after studying the Bible for 51 years I say 18:08 Lord I am blind to many things in your word still open my eyes let me see the truth I want to fly like the eagle in the sky like you see in that painting there I don't 18:31 want to be earth bound I don't even want to be like some birds that can only fly at a low height no I want to fly like the bird like the eagle in the sky I don't want to just fly for a little while and fall 18:51 down I don't have seen sometimes even these cockroaches will fly for little time and fall some believers are like that they heard a message they fly few few days later like the cockroach 19:11 they come down you want to fly like a cockroach or you want to fly like an eagle open my eyes Lord that I see the truth which you have for me you 19:32 have hidden these things from clever people and when I see those truths it says here also in Luke 4 verse 18 he came to set free those who are downtrodden do you know that the 19:52 devil has trodden many believers down you can't overcome this this is too big a problem in your home what is a big problem that God cannot handle is there any problem God cannot handle 20:12 do you find in the gospels any problem that people came to Jesus with which he said no no no I can't handle that that when I read the four gospels I get one message clearly there's no problem 20:32 Jesus cannot solve I believe that he may not solve it the way I want it but he will solve it in a better way than I suggest I may say Lord solve the problem like this no the Lord will 20:52 do it another way and when I look at it I will say that is a better way for example when Adam was deceived Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan and 21:13 the Lord said now Satan has to be crushed under my feet which would have been the better way we would have thought Lord just crush Satan under your feet like I crush a little ant under my foot he 21:38 could have done it in Genesis 3 and we would have born into a world without the devil how wonderful that would have been no devil no demons nothing God could have done it there in Genesis 3 he didn't even have to 21:59 put his foot down one word and every devil and demon would have vanished into nothing I know that's what I would have done I would have got so angry with Satan for deceiving Adam and Eve that's 22:19 what I would have done but I can see that I am a stupid man God's ways are not our ways what a wonderful way he thought of to send his own son like a 22:39 man to suffer to be ill treated to be mocked and for the devil to get people to hang him in an underwear on a cross and 22:59 humiliate him spit on him and kill him and thus to crush Satan would you ever have thought of that method I would never have thought of that method why 23:20 all this trouble when we can just speak one word and finish him off I learned one thing from God sending his son to this earth that God's way of defeating Satan is completely different from the way I would have planned and 23:43 that teaches me a lesson for my life that when I say Lord get rid of Satan in this area he's troubling me here he's troubling me there of course God can just speak a word and he's gone God 24:05 God can speak one word right now from heaven and all your problems will disappear like that just like he could have spoken one word in Eden and made the devil and demons vanish like that why didn't 24:29 he do it and first of all why did he wait 4000 years for man to suffer in so many countries and go all types of problems and then send his son I would 24:50 have sent his son the next day see we are all people who do things very quickly that's not God's way have you wondered sometimes why God waits to answer your prayer he wants 25:10 to set you free he wants to answer your prayers if you want to know why he waits ask yourself why he waited 4000 years before he sent Jesus to the earth he won't 25:31 wait 4000 to answer your prayer don't worry but you can learn something from that that God is not in such a hurry as you are to do everything immediately we want we want everything so quickly but God 25:55 does things slowly you know even holiness it takes a long time for us to be really holy we we would like to be holy in one moment that's not God's way 26:15 he wants to set us free but he does it slowly he doesn't give us all the truth in one moment he doesn't drive out all the sin in our life in a moment I have 26:37 discovered little little subtle sins in my life in the last one year that I never saw for 49 years which I never even knew was sin before you know it's like when you study mathematics in the 26:58 first standard you're studying just 2 plus 2 and 3 plus 3 but then as you go to the higher levels of mathematics in the college and all they say ooh I never knew all these things are in mathematics it's like that when we 27:18 deal with sin we think the truth will make us free means the things which I see now as sin I'll be free from I mentioned a few things at the beginning like anger and dirty thoughts unforgiving spirit jealousy 27:39 pride those are things which are very obvious but as you progress with Jesus and go into college spiritually God will show you certain things in your life which today you don't even realize are sin why 28:01 doesn't he show it all on the first day and get rid of it completely it's not God's way it's like he didn't kill the devil the first day in Eden he took a long time to send Jesus to the earth he 28:22 took 80 years to prepare Moses to be the deliverer of his people can you understand that when Jesus knew the Bible at the age of 12 why did he spend the next 18 years just 28:42 in the carpentry shop he said a young man who knows the Bible at the age of 12 why should he waste his time in a carpentry shop for 18 years all these things are to teach us one 29:02 thing God says my way is not your way I do things slowly but I do a thorough job now here is a reason why God doesn't drive away all our sins 29:22 immediately Exodus 23 the Lord told the Israelites I'm going to send you into the land of Canaan Exodus 23 verse 23 I 29:45 will bring you into the land of the Amorites Hittites Parasites Canaanites Hivais and Jebusites and I will completely destroy them tremendous promise there that the 30:05 Lord will completely destroy all sin and everything that's an enemy in my flesh but but he says I won't do it all at the same time verse 30:26 28 I will send the hornets to drive out the Hivais and Canaanites and Hittites to verse 27 it says all your enemies will turn their backs to you everyone but 30:46 verse 29 I will not drive them out in one year I will drive them out in 10 years Lord why why don't you drive them out in one day why 31:09 don't you get rid of all sin in my life in one moment aren't they enemies yes they are enemies but I will not drive them all out in one day because if 31:29 that happens the beasts of the field will become too numerous for you as soon as you enter Canaan if I speak a word and wipe out all the giants in the land 31:49 oh the lions and the tigers and all types of things will take over those uninhabited areas then then you'll have a bigger problem than killing giants 32:09 it's easier to kill a giant than a lion so what is the spiritual meaning of this for us today listen if I deliver you from sin in one day the 32:33 wild beasts of spiritual pride will take over your life and you will become a proud person oh I've got all victory over sin he says I know your nature yeah 32:55 so as I was saying our nature is such that if God were to give us victory all of a sudden we would become very proud the 33:16 only person that ever walked on this earth who could have victory without waiting for it was Jesus Christ because he came from heaven and he knew the value of humility more than 33:36 any of us anybody anybody who has seen who has seen even a little bit of heaven will know that humility is fundamental and important when 33:58 when I see believers spiritually proud when I see believers boasting about something when I see believers imagining that they are superior to other believers I know 34:18 these people have read the Bible but they haven't seen heaven they haven't seen God you see God once I tell you you'll never be proud again you'll 34:38 hate it like the way you hate what is in the toilet bowl that you flush down immediately you know as soon as you finish using the toilet you like pouring the water and getting rid of it once 34:59 you see God you will hate pride like that that is the clearest proof to me that most believers I met in my life have not seen God and why don't they see God because it's only the pure in heart who can see God they 35:24 play the fool with sin too much they want bitterness in their heart against somebody their glory in their own accomplishments God wants to save us from spiritual pride those are the beasts of 35:44 the field that become too numerous as it says here so that is the reason why God does not reveal all truth in a moment and set us free in a moment we cannot bear it the Bible 36:04 speaks of a weight of glory glory is a very heavy thing the glory of God to share in the glory of Jesus Christ to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus 36:24 Christ from one degree of glory to another how shall I describe it it's like God putting five kilos on me I can take that shall 36:46 I give you some more glory ten kilos twenty kilos thirty forty fifty hundred hundred hundred brother can you bear it or will you get crushed by it it's a weight and 37:06 you don't put that on a little child how much weight can a child take when you're traveling in a train with the children you may give a little suit bag for your child to carry what 37:30 three or four kilos that's all if he's a little older give eight kilos you know all of us would like and say oh God let your glory come upon me it'll crush you you're 37:51 not mature enough to hold it it'll make you so proud God is wise he knows how much you can bear and so he says I will not deliver you completely in one moment or 38:14 even one year the piece of the field will become too much for you yeah we must know the truth the truth will make us free but it has to be slowly from 38:35 one degree of glory to another God could easily give us all in a moment but as I said it'll crush us then how long does it take for God to give it to us with children we 38:55 know that growth is very slow takes one whole year for them to learn a little more in a school it takes one whole year for them to even grow one or two inches in height so 39:17 it's slow but when we are believers your growth does not depend on number of years you're a believer I've seen many believers who are babies very small 39:39 they cannot bear anything small little thing they get offended they cannot overcome any sin they've been believers for 30 40 years their husbands and wives fighting even after they are married for 20 30 years what 40:03 shall we say these are like child marriage two little babies who got married and they never grown up it's really sad and that's why God shows us truth little by little by little see 40:24 what Jesus said in John chapter 16 that's a word the Lord speaks to us many many times John 16 you know to whom does he say this he's saying this to disciples who have forsaken everything most 40:46 of us sitting here have not forsaken everything to follow the Lord there may be a few who have forsaken everything to follow the Lord but very few but most of us we've got a lot of interest in this world still I'm 41:09 not talking about giving up your job you don't have to give up your job to follow Jesus but you have to give up your attachment to the world that's what I'm talking about there are very few who have given up all their ambitions 41:28 and all their attachment to the world but these 11 disciples they had given up everything and even to these people who had given up everything see what the Lord says verse 41:52 John 16 verse 12 I have many more things to say to you but you cannot bear them now you're not it's it's like a businessman father millionaire telling his little four year old boy 42:12 I have many things I want to share with you I have many things I want to share with you but you're too young I cannot share all my business secrets and plans with you I hope 42:38 you'll grow up quickly so that I can share these business plans of mine with you my brother sister can God share his plans with you are 42:59 you grown up enough for that or does the Lord have to say to you I have many things to say to you but you cannot bear them because your mind is always occupied with making money or something in the world or 43:21 your mind is occupied with so many earthly worries which you don't know how to cast them onto me do you know whenever you get an earthly worry the Bible says we have to cast our burden upon the Lord as 43:43 soon as it comes I have to cast it on the Lord I'm not supposed to carry a single anxiety or worry in my mind I'm to share it with Jesus many 44:05 Christians don't do that they share it with human beings they don't get much help there learn to share it with the Lord so that our mind can be free to receive what he has for us otherwise 44:28 we are like little babies we can't understand God's plans especially if some of you are elders in churches you really need to understand God's plan not only for yourself but 44:48 for the church you know when I was single I only had to worry about myself when I got married I had to worry about my wife also when I got one child then I had to think of one more person another 45:10 son I had to think of that one and what all things I have to think about food clothing education college admission so many things and imagine one day you become an elder of a church oh 45:31 what a lot of people God has put upon you now but many elders don't take that seriously like they take for their own children they just sit like some manager of a 45:51 factory they say we just give orders if you cannot treat the people in your church like a father and a mother you are not fit to be an elder in the church many 46:12 elders treat their churches like managers treat their factory workers you come to you you're not to work in this factory anymore you're not you're not do that 46:32 to your son or daughter at home will you are you a father or a manager of a factory that's why the lord cannot reveal his plans we're not growing up to take responsibility there are 46:53 many truths God wants to reveal to us a truth can solve many problems I often think of that in Jesus life how truth helped him in so many ways in his earthly life Jesus 47:14 had a habit which I want all of you to develop the lord taught me this many many years ago Isaiah 50 verse 4 here it says the lord has given me the tongue of disciples 47:34 so that I know how to sustain a weary person with the word you know every brother every sister here can have this gift this is called the gift of prophecy did 47:59 you hear it I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy do you know my dear brothers and sisters that God can pour the Holy Spirit on you that you 48:19 speak the words of God to other people I am not talking about standing in a pulpit 95% of you will never stand in a pulpit in your life but you can speak the 48:39 words of God to people whom you talk to when you speak at home to your children to your husband to your wife to your neighbors when somebody telephones you and you speak to them how much all of us talk every 48:59 day God says I will give you the tongue of a disciple that the weary people who come by you they will get a word from you that lifts them up how do you get that word 49:20 not only you must be filled with the Holy Spirit it says every morning when you wake up Isaiah 50 verse 4 you must allow the Holy Spirit to open your inner ear when 49:41 we are born again it's like a little baby born inside then we have a physical life and a spiritual life the people in the world who are not born again have only got a physical 50:01 life but we are born again there's a little baby inside it's not a physical baby it's a little spiritual baby it's called a new man you read 50:21 about it in Romans chapter 6 and 7 a new man and that's got years just like this physical years this new man has got spiritual years but 50:42 the new man can go to sleep just like we can go to physically sleep but this new man must be awake all the time and it says here in the morning he wakens the year of this inner man and 51:06 then it is open the whole day this is not talking about some half an hour quiet time with the Bible in the morning no this is talking about a year that is open throughout the day listening 51:30 what is the Lord saying to me and as we keep on listening God will say so many things to us and then somebody comes our way and has a need and 51:52 we have a word for that person isn't it wonderful to live like that you may never stand in a pulpit all your life it's not easy to stand in a pulpit it's clear I mean to get up here and speak 52:12 a boring message anybody can do it and a lot of people do that but to get up and speak a word in season that will sustain every person sitting here that is almost impossible to only Jesus can 52:32 do it it's like trying to feed five thousand people with five loaves only Jesus can do it but he can do it but he will do that only if he calls you to stand here a lot of people standing in pulpit today whom God never called 52:50 them to stand there are a lot of people whom God calls to stand here for 15 minutes they stand for one hour I have seen that all over even in our churches God calls a man to stand for 15 20 minutes but he says no I am going 53:10 to stand for one hour so 15 minutes they speak the word of God and 45 minutes they speak their own word and they kill the church this is happening everywhere because most people do not know 53:30 when to stop they don't know how much God has spoken that's not prophecy prophecy is speaking what God has spoken so that's how we must be hearing what God has to say and 53:50 sharing it with others let me show you a lovely verse in Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 2 song song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 2 I was asleep but my heart 54:10 was waking what a wonderful way to sleep that's the way I want to sleep every day of my life go to sleep my heart is awake and I can hear the voice of my beloved knocking at 54:31 my heart I want to hear that it's happened to me so many times I suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and the Lord has something to say to me 54:52 sometimes I even hear and I wake up but the knocking was only in a dream but I 55:12 thought it was a real door knocking sometimes I hear a door bell wake up and it's the Lord he's got something to tell me every one of us can have that if 55:36 you're free from bitterness free from hating other people you love God more than you love this world and the things of heaven are more important to you than the things of this earth even when you're asleep your heart can 55:56 be awake and God will speak to you and will set you free Jesus was like that when somebody came to him with a difficult question Jesus is listening and 56:17 he hears the spirit saying tell them to give to Caesar what is Caesar and to give to God what is God and he says that and the problem is solved another time they bring one woman caught in adultery so he doesn't know what 56:37 to say he is waiting scribbling on the ground and then the spirit says tell them the one who is without sin to throw the first stone one sentence do you think God will do that for you I have seen that happen so 56:57 many times in my life one word of truth solves a difficult problem it's one of the most important habits that fathers and mothers and elders of churches need to develop instead 57:20 of arguing with believers and arguing with our sons and daughters ask God for a word in season of truth set you free let's pray heavenly father help us to live like 57:40 Jesus lived listening for the word of truth that can set us free and set other people free pray in Jesus name amen
