0:01 Heavenly Father, in our memory verse this morning, you said that we should do all that we do for your glory. And so I ask you to guide us and teach us um in this area of money, how to do that in Jesus name. Amen. All right. So, we're going to talk about 0:20 money this morning. Does everybody everybody know what money is? Anybody not know what money is? I'm not sure I fully know what money is to be honest with you, but we'll get into that. I do want to a couple disclaimers. Um, probably the next few 0:36 sessions I'm going to focus on money. And there's two verses that I want to keep in mind and begin with uh every time we we start. And there's there's two, you know, the first one is kind of a disclaimer. When we talk about money, 0:49 um, I want to keep this verse before me. It's easy when you start looking at money to get really focused on it and get wrapped around it. And this verse, uh, I think a young child can understand that, look, you got two choices. You're 1:01 either going to love God or you're going to love money. And so, as we go through this, I want to continue to examine my heart and say, I don't want to love money. I want to love God. And I want to make sure that as I examine this, my 1:12 love for him is increasing and my love for money is decreasing. And so, I see that in this verse. So, that's something I always want to keep before me. And then the next verse, the goal in this uh in talking about money is this. 1:26 you know that the Lord will test us in money. It say it makes it very clear in this verse. It says if you can't be faithful in money, then why would the Lord give you something that is truly valuable? And this kind of links that 1:39 first verse, right? You have God and money and then you have this kind of connection between it and the Lord allows every one of us, I think everyone in this room has dealt with money in some way, shape and form. Some of you it 1:50 may be just two copper coins. Uh some of you may be much more. But all of us are given a certain interaction with money. And God, our heavenly father, has allocated that and says, "Okay, I'm going to let you be tested in this 2:04 area." And every godly man that I can think of, the ones that I've truly got to know or even some that I've read about, every one of them without exception, not just men, women, and including in this church, godly men and 2:16 women in this church, what I find is the ones that truly have some sort of spiritual anointing on their life have been tested in in money. And I'm I'm listening for that. And I I've tried to pay attention and I've noticed that 2:28 that's almost always true. And one of the things about this verse, if you've been a failure like me, there's another verse you need to consider. Acts 17:30, God overlooks the time of ignorance, but now has called men to repentance. And 2:42 so, even if you've made many mistakes in the area of money and you've been unfaithful in the area of money, so have I. And so, we focus on now and going forward. Okay, Lord, I acknowledge that I haven't always been faithful in this 2:54 area, but from today on, will you teach me so that I can have what's really really valuable in life and not just settle for uh money that is very temporal and and goes away? Will you teach me? And so, even if you you you've 3:10 have unfaithfulness in your past, that's over. That's done. God can overlook those times of ignorance. But let's start today seeking to be faithful in money. So, first thing I want to do today is look at what is it? Like what 3:22 is money? You know, you you keep saying that that term, but what what do you mean by it? And uh I looked it up in the dictionary. I thought I would start there. And so in the Webster's dictionary, it says that money is something generally accepted as a medium 3:35 of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment. All right, everybody good? Did that help you practically or spiritually? It didn't. It didn't do a lot for me. And I actually uh I pulled out a $1 bill and decided to see what 3:49 was what what it says about money on the $1 bill. And it says this. It says, "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." Oh, I I studied finance in college and I thought I at one time knew a lot about 4:04 money, but the more I I hear these definitions, the more I'm just confused. Like I don't know if that helps me. I know it's on my dollar bills and you guys check it. see if it's written on your dollar bills. But that doesn't help 4:16 me. And so at my age, even after looking at money for many, many years, I find that the only thing that really helps me understand it is the scripture, is the Bible. So I want to go to the Bible. I want to go to the Lord of all creation 4:29 and see what his word says about money. And I think and I've discovered that that's where I learned. And that's where real wisdom regarding this subject comes from is from him. you know, all my earthly training, uh, you know, kind of 4:44 really at the end of it confused me. You know, I I don't understand. If you ask me about Bitcoin, I don't know. And they say, ' Josh, didn't you study about money in college? I did, but I I can't tell you about blockchains. I I just 4:56 don't know. I don't know. And so, but but this word, the Holy Spirit can open up and teach us about things that even the world doesn't understand. I believe it. So, when it comes to money, I like this word. All right. I like this 5:09 concept. And I think this is what the Bible teaches and this makes sense to me and I get this. All right. So, here's the word silos. What is money? Money. Money is silos. What's a silo? Well, I'm going to we're going to look at a verse 5:25 of scripture this morning. I think it'll be clear uh to all of us. But it talks about barns. And in this picture, we have a barn, but next to the barn, we have this this cylinder structure in which you it's used. It's a storehouse. 5:39 It's where you put all the grain in that you couldn't eat or consume in the in the immediate moment, right? So, we store it away. And so, a silo, it represents that storage, and that's really what money is. So, let's go to 5:53 the scripture uh this morning. So, if if you have your Bibles, I want you to see it in your Bible. So, I'm going to put it on the screen, but I prefer you read it. And this is a verse that always disturbed me and I kind of stayed away 6:03 from it regarding money because it made me uncomfortable. And so, I want to look at it head on. on this morning and think like Lord what what can you teach us about money? What can I learn from you? So it's in Luke 12 starting at verse 16 and we'll read for 6:18 six verses. Here's what it says. It says, "And he told them a parable saying the land of a rich man was very productive and he began reasoning to himself saying what shall I do since I have no place to store my crops?" Then 6:36 he said, "This is what I will do. I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods, and I will say to my soul, soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come. Take your ease, 6:53 eat, drink, and be merry." But God said to him, "You fool! This very night your soul is required of you. And now who will own what you have prepared? So so is the man who stores up treasure 7:10 for himself and is not rich towards God? Those verses tell us very clearly what money is and honestly if we're honest um kind of our relationship with it, don't they? That that uh you know the world wisdom is is is in this verse. You know, 7:27 it says in the Bible, eat, drink, and be merry. It said it right there. And you say, Josh, it doesn't say in the Bible that to take ease, that I should seek for comfort in this world, and I should save enough and get to a place that I 7:41 can just relax and take it easy. It doesn't it say that in scripture. And I would say, yeah, it absolutely says that in scripture. You're correct. But then right after that verse, it says God says, "You full." God says, "That's a foolish way of 7:55 thinking." But I'll tell you quite honestly, I sought for this for many many many years. I thought this is the relationship I have with money. I need to save a lot of it. I grew up in a a relatively poor part of the United 8:08 States and you know there was never enough of it and I needed to save it so I could get to a point where I could be comfortable in life so that I could relax and not have to labor day and night for it. That's what I sought it 8:18 for. But if I read this scripture correctly in my relationship with money, God says you're foolish if that's how you live your life. Oh, okay. Lord, thank you. Thank you for telling me because I would have I would have followed that pattern all the way 8:33 to my grave. But you're a merciful God and you say that that's a foolish thing. And so, another thing I want to do, I want to look at this this again. I I I highlighted some of the some of the phrases, some of the pronouns, and I and 8:45 I think you see the the problem in it. And one of the things that I want you to notice in this verse, you see this, I will. I will. I will. I will. I I I I my my my repeated very often in this in this passage, don't you? Do you guys see 9:01 it? I put it in bold to help you see. It's in bold in black. I will. And I thought, you know what it brought to mind was Isaiah uh 14. Isaiah chapter 14. It reveals the spirit of Satan, of Lucifer, right? Satan said something 9:16 very similar. I will. I will. I will. I will. And I saw a connection there that that attitude of I will when it comes to money is very much the same attitude that that Satan had and it got him cast out of heaven. And I just want to be 9:31 honest with myself when it comes to this. Like I don't know what your relationship is with money. I don't know what goes into your heart. But whenever I see that I will, I will. I will. I'll make a plan. I'm in control. I'm in 9:42 charge. I want to acknowledge it and say, 'Lord, if that's the spirit of Lucifer, I don't want that. I don't want that. If money is so my focus um that I think that I'm in control and I'm in possession, Lord, and you say 10:00 that that's foolish. I I want to listen to you. I want you to teach me and I want you to reveal this and I'm sorry if my attitude is contrary to what you want for me. And I said I put it in red. I put the attitude the the the essential 10:13 problem with what this guy said. And and I I think if we're honest, we've all said something very similar. I think if we're all honest with oursel, we've said something very similar. And that part that I that I bolded in red is the 10:26 problem. For myself or for himself, but it's talking in the third person. So the problem is it's for me. I will for me. And then the solution is right after it. But he's not rich towards God. So the problem is not the silos themselves and 10:42 we'll look at that in a little more detail. It's the attitude. It's the heart of it. And I see that Lord. Now I want to go back and I want to look at this that that passage starts out and it says the rich man's land was 10:58 very productive. And I want to step back and say, well, how did that land become productive? And I think we'll see some of our our attitude and where it develops from. And when you think of land, you start uh you know with a with a a plot of land. And 11:11 the very first thing you have to do is turn that dirt over. That dirt is hard and it needs to be plowed before it before that land will produce anything. That hard ground needs to be uh needs to be turned. Right? So that's step one. 11:26 And that's hard work. I don't know if you guys have ever taken a shovel and tried to overturn hard dirt, but it's work. You're going to you're going to sweat. I guarantee it. Even if you have a tractor, if you're turning ground 11:37 today, you're going to sweat out in that tractor. I think some of them are air conditioned, but uh unless you have like tons of money, you're probably not going to, you know, have a million-dollar tractor. So, you're probably going to 11:47 sweat turning that ground. And then it gets soft and then you get the soil and then you can put a seed in that soil, right? And it's not going to grow up right away, right? It's going to take time and it's going to take luck, if you will. You 12:01 know, you're going to hope that the the pests don't get it and that it continues to grow. And you're going to hope there's not a thunderstorm that comes and wipes out your crop. And you're going to hope that the the the weather 12:12 cooperates. And you're going to hope that uh you know the the locusts don't come. And you're going to hope that, you know, an animal doesn't get in your field and ruin everything. And then the harvest, right? Finally, after all that work, you 12:28 get the the the weed in this case. I think that's what I have the picture of, but it could be anything. It could be apples or anything you grow. You finally get a crop and you work so hard for that crop and you can only eat so much of 12:40 that crop right then. There's only so much wheat by the way. You got to, you know, sift the wheat, you got to grind it, you got to turn it into flour, then you can make bread with it. But you can only eat so much. So what do you do with 12:49 the rest of it? You store it and you put it in these barns and in these silos. You know, when you get a paycheck, I assume that not everybody eats their entire paycheck, right? Like they they don't spend it on food, right? Then you 13:02 you want to store some of it. And the same thing happens today. Maybe you guys aren't farmers, but doesn't some didn't you you come about money the same way? Didn't you have to study in high school and in college? And didn't you have to 13:15 work hard turn in that ground to give a you know a fertile place for you to have employment? And then didn't you get the job? And didn't you have to work hard in that job? and and toil and labor. And then finally, the harvest comes, payday. 13:29 You earned it. All your hard work pays off and you got a payday. And you want to store it away, right? Because you can only consume so much right now. I'll need the rest in the future. And so there's some wisdom in that. But what's 13:42 the attitude? Is it that you worked? I love I love the, you know, considering the farmer and how much he's at the mercy of God. I've seen, you know, some uh some movies and TV shows where a farmer puts all this labor in and then a thunderstorm 13:56 comes and just destroys everything and he just, you know, ask God, why? Why did you do that? Do you ever look at your paycheck that way? Like, Lord, you know, do you ever look at with thankfulness like you could have I could have been in 14:10 a car accident and and not worked and not got paid. Do you recognize that, you know, even that that that harvest is the result of his good goodness towards you? Or do you just like, hey, it's payday. It's mine. I need to store it. Be honest 14:25 with yourself when you get that paycheck. When you get that pay stuff, I think it's direct deposited nowadays, right? What is your attitude towards it? Did you work hard or was God favorable to you? I like this picture and I'd ask 14:36 you to keep it in mind for the rest of this message. These are silos and these are the the things that we could put in our silos and it's this is the concept of money right I can't consume it right now I need to save it for later and it 14:50 takes all different forms and some of you have probably at least one or more of these forms and right of money I'm sure everybody does everybody have some cash at least does everybody have you know like a a savings account or a 15:05 checking account or and I even put some of the more modern ways to to store it right through Bitcoin and NFTTS. I don't know much about them, but I'm just saying it's the same concept. The Bible truth does, you know, you could change 15:17 the form, but in essence, it's the same thing. I want to preserve something I've worked hard for so that it's there when I need it. That's the idea of the the silo. And so, so these are these are the things that we we store in. These these 15:31 are this is our money, if you will. And so, as we go forward, I want to I want to look at an example. And I don't know if you've ever thought of this guy as an example, but in Luke uh Luke 10:es 33-35, a story you're very familiar with 15:46 is the parable of the good Samaritan. And and what I'm put I'm going to put to you is that this good Samaritan, he had silos. And I'll prove it with the story. It says, here's the here's the here's the verses. I'll read them. It says, 16:00 "But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him. And when he saw when he saw him, he felt compassion and came to him and bandages up his wombs, pouring oil and wine on them. And he put him on his own beast and brought him into an 16:15 end and took care of him. On the next day, he took out two daener and gave them to the inkeeper and said, "Take care of him and whatever you more you spend when I return, I will repay you." And so I want to go through this as a 16:29 list. You know what did this Samaritan pull from his silo to help somebody else? Well, he he had bandages. He had to purchase those bandages. You know, even though he may have had them intended for something else, here was an 16:43 opportunity to use them. He had wine and oil or oil and wine, you know, that he may have intended for something else, but he saw a need that day and he had to purchase those beforehand, so he had those on hand. He also had a a beast. I 16:57 don't know if it was a donkey or an ox or what, but I think of that it was his transportation and I think of that as the way I look at my car. I I immediately connect with this. You know, I imagine that I picture that he had a 17:09 donkey. Let's say it was a donkey and he had a a brand new saddle blanket on there. He had a blanket on top of his donkey that he was using to ride on. And uh you know, here he's got this bloody disgusting guy and he lays that on top 17:20 of his blanket. You know, and I'm challenged the way I look at my car. you know, do I want to keep my it's good to keep my car clean, but is it does it need to be so clean that I can't be inconvenienced by somebody who maybe is 17:31 not clean, who's hurting? You know, would I look at my transportation the way that this Samaritan did? Again, he had to buy that beast with with money from his silo, right? And then here's what's interesting to me. I I love 17:43 converting this to modern times, right? Two deneras, two days wages. I don't remember exactly. I think I looked up the national average and figured out what it would cost somebody. You know, what what amount of dollars would be 17:54 produced by working two days for the the median or average income and I figured it was about about $417. So that's about what one day wages for the average guy is. For some of you that may be less, for some of you it would be 18:07 more. But what impresses me about this parable is he said, "$834, that's all I have on me. I'll give it to the inkeeper." And then here's my conviction with the story. It's a parable, so I don't think it's a true story. But he gave all that 18:21 he had to the inkeeper. And then he basically said, "I I gave you all I have on me. I need to return to the silo and get more." So this guy had silos and you see the way he lived and the way that he used them. And I'm challenged by his 18:37 example. And I want to look at this verse. I want to, you know, we'll spend the rest of our time looking at this verse in 1 Timothy. 1 Timothy 8 uh 6 verse 18 says this. It says, "Let them do good that they be rich in good works, ready to give and 18:56 willing to share." And I see that attitude in the Samaritan. I see that he had this exact attitude. But my question is, so who is this verse to? In other words, who is them? Who is them? And to get to get who them is, I need to go back a verse. And I'm 19:15 going to tell you before we even go there, I'm going to tell you who them is. It's those who are rich. Them is those who are rich. And now you have to ask a question. Is Josh talking about me or is he talking about somebody 19:26 else? And I'm going to put to you if you looked at that picture of all the silos and you saw any of those things listed that you have custodial responsibility for. And I say custodial responsibility because if you've decided to be a 19:41 disciple of Christ, then you've given up all your possessions. That's a condition. It says it in Luke 14:33 that if you want to be my disciple, you must give up all your possessions. So that means I no longer possess them. The Lord 19:55 has given me responsibility for them. And so that means the house I live in, the car I drive, those aren't mine. Those are his. And so since I have those things, I have to acknowledge that since I'm not using the money I earn to 20:10 directly feed my family, that there's some left over, I'm rich. Now, you got to ask yourself, you wrestle with that and you determine if you're rich or not. I think I'm rich. I might be the only rich guy in the room, but the Lord has shown me, Josh, you 20:23 have abundance. Don't compare yourself to billionaires. If you want to compare yourself to somebody, compare yourself to that some that guy in the third world country that hasn't eaten in four days. You can make that comparison now. Are 20:34 you rich? Yes, Lord. I'm rich. I'm sorry that I thought I'm sorry that I I thought I didn't have anything. All right, let's go back a verse. So, if we're rich, if that's you, then this verse is for you. And I I think I'll 20:48 give you my opinion of you. I think you're rich. I think you have more more money than just what it takes to get meet your basic needs of food and clothing. So, this is for us. So that's the first thing I want to establish. I think that 21:04 I'm rich. So that means this verse is for me. So that's the first thing. The second thing, it caught me this morning as I was thinking about this. That first word, I think if you had changed the word from command to encourage in my 21:19 Bible, I would have I wouldn't have noticed. But it doesn't say encourage. It says command. I spent 24 years in the military. I know what a command is. Soldier, I gave you A DIRECT ORDER. YOU DO IT. That's a command. 21:37 And Paul is speaking to Timothy with an authority. He says, "Listen, I know you got rich guys in the church. Command, not encourage, not tell them, not not, you know, strength them in this." He says, "Give them a direct 21:51 order. They are in such danger. You need to tell them this." I almost missed that word as I was thinking about these verses. And again, I have to ask myself, Lord, is is this authority you're talking to me? Am I the rich one that needs the this 22:08 commandment? I need this attitude. Here's the third thing I see in that verse. It says, "Not to be hottie." Not to be hottie. Now, I understand that some of you are from India. Let me ask you this question, and I don't answer it 22:24 out loud. And I want you to think about it. Those of you that have are from India, when you go back to India, do you ever do you ever even have a little bit of hottiness in you? Do you ever think like I'm in America, I make dollars there, I could I could buy 22:41 anything in this store? If I convert my my dollars to rupees, man, I could own this town. Do you do you throw money around like you're a big rich big shot? You ever done that? Are you ever been tempted in your heart to think like that? Oh, I worked hard. I 22:59 studied hard. I I turned the land. I planted the seed. I produced a harvest. Now I made it. I'm not like the riff raff here. I arrived. Have you ever been tempted like that? When you return to India, don't answer out loud. Look at your heart. I tell 23:15 you, I I've gone back to to where I grew up and I've had that temptation. I've had that temptation. I didn't I'm not in this poor place anymore. I'm in Austin, Texas. Booming economy. I'm not like this. Is there any hottiness in you 23:29 at all when it comes to when you compare to where you grew up? And I'm challenged by that. Remember, this is a command. Lord, Lord, am I proud? You've given me all this and am I thinking that I'm somebody because you've blessed me and now I look down on 23:47 people that haven't been blessed in the way I have. Is that my attitude? Lord, forgive me. I don't want that attitude. And then it says, don't put, Paul tells Timothy, remember still the still a command. Hey, tell them tell them tell 24:02 those rich people in your church, don't put your trust in money. Don't put your trust in money. I carry in my wallet. It was funny. I was back there trying to find this in my wallet. I have a $50 billion bill that I keep in 24:16 my wallet. This was actual circulated country currency in the country of Zimbabwe until April of 2009 when it all collapsed. Actual circulated currency. $50 billion right there. I was fumbling trying to find $50 billion in my wallet. It was 24:33 quite a sight. You know, I lost $50 billion, right? Why do I keep this? Because of what that verse says right there. I've grown up in the United States. I'm 46 years old. the my entire life there's been security in the dollar. You could 24:50 always trust the the dollar to get you through recession or inflation. It was always stable. But what if it's not one day? You say, "Oh, that would never happen." And we're not like Zimbabwe. This is the United States of America. You can trust 25:05 that dollar. It'll always be there. Josh, you've worked hard. You've saved up me many of those dollars through your retirement account. You got plenty of of years saved up. Just relax, take it easy, eat, drink, and be merry. 25:19 I want to obey this verse, brothers and sisters. If tomorrow I wake up and it's all burned up, if moth and rust and thieves have broken and still it and it's all gone, that's fine, Lord. If that was your will, I'm going to trust in you to 25:34 provide my needs. It's easy to say. The Lord will allow us to go through little tests to see if we mean it. Do you really mean that, Josh? you got up there and you said some powerful things up there on Sunday morning. I'm going to take you through 25:47 this little test and see what how you react with losing a little bit of money maybe. And he's taking me through those tests, brothers and sisters. But I want this to be my reality. The fifth thing that I want you to see in this verse 26:01 is it says that God gives us richly all things to enjoy. All things to enjoy. And I was thinking about this and I was examining my own attitude. You know, I share this with you guys for about 30 minutes, but I try to go over it again and again and again 26:17 and again and again and again before I come and share this. I try to examine my own heart, examine my own attitude. And honestly, maybe I need it more than than you guys. You guys can get it in 30 minutes. I needed a lot more time to 26:30 really think about this. But I was thinking of that list and uh about 4-minute drive from here uh in my name is a a plot of land. It's 0.43 acres. And on that that site, there's a house that the Lord has also allowed to be in 26:46 my name. And inside that house, there's a kitchen. And inside that kitchen, there's a refrigerator. And on Saturday morning, usually Amber will will decide what we're going to eat. She plans the meals. She prepares them. And I I thank God for her and she 27:02 does that for me so I don't have to think about what to eat. But Saturday morning, she said, "You guys are on your own. You can eat whatever you want. And so I went to that refrigerator. I opened it up and guess what? It was full. 27:16 There were so many things to eat. I I settled on the frozen breakfast cassant. Actually ate two of them. God is so good. He gives us all things to enjoy, right? That's what I had. I don't know if that's healthy or not, but you get 27:28 that's what I chose. But I went to his land, his house, his kitchen, his refrigerator. I opened it up and I pulled from his storehouse something delicious to eat because he gives all things for us to enjoy. And I realized 27:43 after eating it, it was it was probably maybe an hour after eating it that I never told you thank you. Yeah. To Lord, I didn't I didn't thank him. I just soon it's my house. I'll eat what I want. So I fixed it right then. Soon as I 27:58 realized my error, Lord, I never told you thank you for those two breakfast sandwiches. Thank you. You give us all things to enjoy. Coming back to that verse, remember these are the rich. All those exhortations in that first verse, he 28:14 says this. He says, "Let them do good to be rich in good works." I like that. He puts it Paul does a play on it. Yeah, they think they're rich in money, but here's what they really need to be rich in. Good works. An abundance of good 28:29 things to people. Looking how they can help people. And I love these six words. This is the attitude, Timothy, that you want to command them to have, that they're ready to give and they're willing to share. Those six words, I 28:44 think of it like this, like if if Satan were to go to my heavenly father and he says like, "Hey, I heard uh Josh share a message on Sunday about money." And then my father would say, "Yeah, I heard it too." And Satan said, "You know, tell 28:57 the truth. What's his attitude towards money?" Brothers and sisters, it would delight my heart if my heavenly father said, 'Well, Josh is always ready to give and he's willing to share. Oh, I would love that. Now, I was 29:13 thinking about this. That's an attitude. Like when I when I when I drive down Austin, there's guys standing at the street corners with signs, you know, saying, "Hey, you know, I need money. I need money for food." I would say 99% of 29:26 the time I don't give. I may have it once, but I don't give. But I'm ready to and I'm willing to. But I don't think there's wisdom in that. And I was thinking about all the times that I haven't given. I've had the thought pop 29:39 in my head, but I just feel I don't feel at peace. I don't think it would be good. I've made a lot of mistakes giving money, and I want to learn from those mistakes. I want to have wisdom. But this is the attitude that I want to 29:49 have. Lord, I don't care if that homeless guy sets my money on fire. If you tell me to give it, I'll give it. I'm ready. I'm charged up. You say the word and I'll go get it out of that storehouse, out of that silo, and I'll 30:01 give it to whoever you tell me to give it to. I want that to be my attitude all the time. Now, the execution may only come like 1% of the time, but I want that attitude always. And he may say, Josh, wait, no, no, no. Don't give money 30:14 in that situation. Hold on to it. I don't want you to give I don't want you to give my money in in that situ. Okay? But I'm ready to I'm willing to say the word and I'll do it. It's your possession anyway. Say the word. I want 30:30 that attitude, brothers and sisters, all my life. All right, here's the conclusion. We started out with a disclaimer and a goal. Remember, anytime we talk about money, our goal is to love God more and to hate money more. And 30:44 that we understand from the the goal that we want to we're going to be tested. The Lord's going to allow these things to come into our life. And he's testing us so that he can give us what's really valuable. And I would encourage 30:55 you to, you know, anybody that has those really valuable gifts, and I'm not going to tell you what they are. You can search for yourself. Anybody that really has eternal spiritual gifts, they've been tested in money and proven 31:06 faithful. And that's what that verse says. And then we looked at money and we asked, "What is it?" And we said that it's silos, but it's silos not to be stored up for ourselves, but they're opportunities to be rich toward God. And 31:20 we looked at the the example of the Samaritan in that and how that he did exactly that. He pulled from his silos and provided for a man that was in need and that was hurt. That was the story. That was the example we used. And we we 31:33 kind of looked at it through a different lens of him willing to spend his own money and he had money, right? He had the he had the resources to do to do it. And then finally, we looked at those six words that I encourage you to meditate 31:46 on and carry in your heart for a season, maybe forever. You know, Lord, is when it comes to money, is this my attitude? I'm ready. You just say it and I'll do it. I'm willing to do it. I'm ready to give and I'm willing to share.
