Jesus alone is the way that your children can come. So Jesus deserves to be seen. 18:15 Jesus deserves to be heard. Jesus deserves to be magnified and lifted up all over the earth. Father, if this is to be, 18:34 let it begin in me. Let your will be done in this younger son. And may Jesus be seen me. May Jesus be seen in me. Father, you spoke to the darkness and 18:59 glory and filled it with all that was through. And Jesus lived down on this earth like I do and gave everything as he should. Help me to live by the word of your 19:18 power. Let me be under your glorious shower. Jesus, the hope of your glory in all that I do. So Jesus deserves to be seen. 19:39 Jesus deserves to be heard. And Jesus deserves to be magnified and lifted up all over the earth. Father, if this has to be, 19:58 let it begin in me. Let your will be done in this younger son. And may Jesus be seen in me. May Jesus be seen in me. 20:15 [Music] Father, when evil and pride touch my heart, you can bring things to a head. The worst thing that happened, you changed to the best. Jesus the cross where you humble yourself I am brave. 20:54 [Music] Jesus deserves to be seen. Jesus deserves to be heard. Jesus deserves to be magnified 21:11 and lifted up all over the earth. Father, if this is to be, let it begin in me that your will be done in this younger son. 21:30 May Jesus be seen in me. May Jesus be seen in me. May Jesus May Jesus be seen in me. Amen. voices. [Music] Holy, holy, holy 23:34 are you Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the lamb. Worthy is the lamb. You are holy, holy 23:56 are you Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the lamb. [Music] Worthy is the lamb of 24:11 [Music] Brothers and sisters, we can remain 24:40 standing. We are creatures of time and space. But the 24:57 truth of the words that we sing are eternal throughout this universe across all history and and beyond. The cry of worthy is the lamb must 25:21 resound. every every corner of every distant planet. There is no other voice to compete with that voice. Worthy is the lamb. It's our privilege brothers and sisters 25:41 to come into his presence to call him father to join our voice. Lift up his name. In 26:14 Revelation, the book of Revelation chapter 15, there is a mention of the song of Moses. It says in that final day, 26:32 they'll sing the song of Moses. I want to read this. It's in Exodus 15. And Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the Lord. I will sing to 26:51 the Lord, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. This is my God and I will praise him. My father's God and I will extol him. And 27:08 we can say he is my heavenly father and I will praise him and I will extol him. The Lord is a warrior. The Lord is his name. Your right hand, O Lord, is majestic in power. Your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy. We know that Jesus is seated 27:26 at the right hand of the father and he is the one who shatters the enemy. In the greatness of your excellence, you overthrow those who rise up against you. You sent forth your burning anger and it consumes them as shaft. At the blast of your nostrils, 27:42 the waters were piled up. The flowing waters stood up like a heap. The enemy said, "I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the spoil. I will draw out my sword." But you blew with your wind and the sea covered them. 27:59 They sank like lead in the mighty waters. Who is like you among the gods? Oh Lord, who is like you? Majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders. In your loving kindness, you have led your people whom you have redeemed. In 28:15 your strength, you have guided them to your holy habitation. And you will bring them and you will plant them in the mountain of your inheritance. The place, oh Lord, which you have made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, oh Lord, which your hands 28:30 have established, the Lord shall reign forever and ever. Brothers and sisters, let's join in and lift up our voices and proclaim that our God is King of Kings and he's Lord of Lords and he is the one who has triumphed over Satan. Yes, Lord. 28:49 We praise you and thank you, Lord. We thank you for the privilege of praising you and rejoicing in you and lifting up your name. We thank you, oh heavenly father that you are the king of kings and the lord of lords and you looked at 29:02 us and loved us and showed us compassion lord and made a way for us to come to you. It's Lord your name is the name that deserves to be praised and honored and magnified. Lord we want to lift up our voices and thank you Lord for this 29:15 time. We thank you Lord for your triumph. We thank you for choosing us, Lord, before the foundation of the world. We thank you for your everlasting love, Lord. We thank you for your good plans, Lord, which are sealed with your 29:27 blood. We thank you, Lord, for your great, high, and heavenly calling. We thank you for the cross, Lord. We thank you for the price you paid. Fill us, Lord, even now with your Holy Spirit, Lord. Let your spirit flow in our midst. 29:39 Have liberty, Lord. Yes, Lord. Lift the veil that we might see, glimpse your glory, Lord, and be transformed into your image, Lord. We thank you. We praise you. We come at this time into your mighty hands, Lord Jesus. Great is 29:53 your faithfulness, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for your mercies that are new every day, Lord. Even now, Lord, we come with boldness to your throne to receive, Lord, according to our our need. Uh and we thank you, Lord, for this privilege. 30:07 We pray in your mighty name, Jesus. Amen. Please be seated brothers and sisters. Last week uh we had promise 30:26 from John 8 and verse 12. You can repeat after me. John 8:12. The one who follows me will have the light of life. Amen. And we can look at the verse. This is a 30:48 memory verse for this week. Once again, brothers and sisters, encourage you, strengthen your resolve to take these verses and you know, hide them in our hearts. Uh, memorize them. 31:05 So, this is a command. Romans 15:2, each of us is to please his neighbor for his good. Say that again. Romans 15:2. Each of us is to please his neighbor 31:28 for his good. Amen. Brothers and sisters, let's prepare our hearts to listen to the word of God. Uh it's our privilege to hear 31:46 the words that the Lord speaks. This is how we live. This is how we draw near to him. This is how we have eternal life. Uh brother John Pereira will give us the word this morning. Yeah, it's a privilege 32:16 to look into God's word. The Lord has given his word to help us. Um, scripture helps us to know God better. Holy Spirit will help us to know God better 32:35 and through scriptures we get to know ourselves better. First we know God and see the Lord and then in the light of that we see ourselves and we get better understanding about ourselves 32:55 and also scripture helps us to know the purpose which we have on this earth. There there is a goal set. If we look at the life of Jesus, there was a 33:10 focus and purpose. He set his eyes on the will of the father. He was focused. So that's how he accomplished what he came to accomplish. And he could say, um, it's finished. 33:30 We'll look at this verse in 2 Timothy chapter 3:16 and 17 which we know well all scripture is inspired by God. It's our privilege. All scripture is 34:03 inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 34:22 See that means God has a purpose. Scripture helps us to understand his purpose. To understand his purpose first we need to know God better. That's how we we will know God's purpose better. Otherwise we we can have 34:41 our own ideas. Like uh there there were people in Jesus' time read the scripture. In fact, Jesus himself said, "You search the scriptures so diligently, but you don't understand God." I'm just 34:59 paraphrasing what Jesus said in, I think, John 5:39. You search the scriptures. You're so well versed with the scriptures, but your heart is not connected to God. You don't know God. And in fact, another place he said, you 35:16 don't know God and power. So it's very important that we are equipped in a right sense and God reveals his truths to the humble. That's the beauty of it. Isaiah 57 says 35:35 that Isaiah 57 verse 15 it says thus I and exalted one who lives forever whose name is holy. I dwell on a high and holy place and also with a contrite lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly. See 35:55 the Lord when it comes to the earth he's committed to certain category of people those who are contrite and lowly in heart. It's very important that we examine ourselves. Do I qualify? 36:13 Um that means God says I dwell only in two places that is high and the holy place and with a lowly and contrite. I want to stay with a person on this earth and he will be seeking for me and I will be seeking for him. Jesus said in one 36:32 place I think John 4, father seeks for worshippers those who are contrite and lowly in heart to revive the hearts. Now midst we we have come here I believe the Lord is committed to those 36:51 who are lowly in heart those who are not looking around oh who's what's mistake with others what's oh we read the command oh that command okay for whom uh so and so or I should be concerned about 37:08 um means like needy I should be I should think about good of our name my neighbor That means ah somebody should be thinking about me to help me because I am their neighbor. See that is a pride. The lowly in heart is someone who thinks 37:25 Lord what I can do how that applies to me what's my lack. See that's how it is. That is what the outcome of knowing God better. So here God wants to revive the heart of the lowly. Definitely I believe 37:44 that the like the Lord was um talking to me when I was going through these scriptures. Lord give me give me grace that I keep my heart humble and lowly that you will have a company with me and 38:01 help me. So that's what in fact Jesus told in Matthew chapter 11. He said something like this. At that time Jesus was so excited. I praise you father, lord of heaven and earth and you have hidden hidden 38:19 certain things and you have hidden very very important things these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Those who have lowly heart, humble heart, pure heart, 38:35 infants have pure heart, pure motives. Yes, father for this way was ple well pleasing in your sight. This is well pleasing to you. All things have been handed over to me by my father and no one knows the son except the father. See 38:53 the Jesus is saying I know the father. Like we heard last week we were hearing about that that knowing God as father impacts our life our dealings our attitudes our motives our faith and our 39:11 goal everything everything changes like brother Zach was saying when I got to know God as my daddy that made a big difference to my life you know that's that's what you revealed them to babes infants That re revelation is what we need. You 39:30 know man shall not live by bread alone but every word which proceeds out of the m mouth of God and that will help me know who is my God, who is my father, who's taking care, who is running the universe. He is my father. That's how 39:46 Jesus lived. Jesus lived under that light of heaven, the revelation of heaven. I was so satisfied and uh so content, so secured. We heard about insecurity also. See, it brings lot of security. And I'm not 40:05 trying to prove to somebody no I didn't do this brother. No, that's not right. This is not right. No, no, I don't have to. Jesus never kept justifying before people. Even Pilate and he was arrested also. Nothing that that fluttering was 40:19 not there. That's what knowledge of God makes it. As we face the future, uncertain future, what should hold us? That knowledge of the father, knowledge of God, that will hold us. That's what 40:37 it says. That's why Jesus said, I I know only I know the father. Nobody knows the father except son. Anyone to whom the son wills to reveal him. Again the word revealed revelation Jesus will reveal us the father. That's 40:54 the purpose with which or a burden longing with which Jesus came and we shouldn't miss that point. Our life is not oh I come to a Sunday meeting I read little read little Bible and um this and that I'm I'm doing something. No, more 41:11 than that Jesus, if we look at Jesus, we get a better understanding of a purpose with which we have been sent here. So, I would like to turn to a verse in Daniel 11. This was coming to me um 41:30 more powerfully. In chapter 11:32 it says by smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant. This was something very important which came to me. By smooth 41:48 words he the enemy will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly towards the covenant. Enemy cannot deceive everybody. Enemy cannot deceive the humble because humble 42:07 God is working with them to revive the heart and God has a company and the humble has a company with God. But who gets deceived? Those who act wickedly toward the covenant. What is that covenant? What is that agreement? 42:24 What is that? That's a new covenant. Uh it says I think in Acts 20 it says Jesus who bought the church by his blood by through his blood Jesus made a covenant with the church and uh we read that in I 42:43 think Ephesians chapter 5 it does it has blessed me many many times it says about husbands but uh if we see it's it's more than that Ephesians chapter 5 verse 43:02 25. Husbands, love your wives. But just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 43:19 and he might present to himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she should be holy and blameless. You know, this is the work which is happening. This is the work Jesus is 43:37 doing through the work of the Holy Spirit. See, when we are born again, it's kind of we are engaged to the Lord. We are engaged to the Lord. It's like somebody got gets engaged, a girl gets engaged to a boy. But that time of 43:52 courtship, one day there's a wedding. Yeah. With the Lord, we are waiting for the wedding day. But what's happening now is this. And he say it says he loved the church and he gave himself and that he might sanctify her. That 44:11 means the sanctifying work is happening now. And um having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word and he might present to himself. See, he he's preparing us 44:27 and and he's preparing our hearts and he's preparing us that we get to know God better. We get to know God better. That we don't violate this covenant. See, we when boy and girl are engaged, 44:45 they sign a paper and say that yes, I'm committed to this now. I don't look around. and she also and they both have to keep themselves that covenant and if they want to break it they can break in the earthly weddings but yeah even in 45:01 heavenly wedding also if somebody says it's like something like this what is the covenant um it's something like Jesus said love your enemies it's a one of the condition love your enemies uh am I not supposed to hate my enemy no you 45:18 cannot and forgive you you can't um live you you cannot keep the covenant without forgiveness. You have to because I have forgiven you. You have to forgive. Seek his kingdom first. Love not the world. Keep your conscience 45:38 clear. Stay within your boundary where God's love can reach you and your financial boundaries. Are you careful in keeping your financial boundaries or you violate? See this is this is what it is saying those who act wickedly to the 45:56 covenant. We have a covenant and we cannot violate. Once I violate the covenant then enemy will lead me to godlessness. But uh second part it says verse 32 say but the people who know their god will 46:14 display strength and take action. This is very very important as we are going towards the last days as god is closing up everything. And what is that we have to keep our covenant and u intact and keep our conscience clear. We should be 46:34 in right side of Jesus with Jesus. We may slip up but we must make it right quickly and the time if we delay getting right with God and Satan can deceive. It has happened. I have seen 46:52 many people somebody starts uh some construction or some buying and selling and they get into problem. Somebody gets wrong with wedding or something. So many things we can and somebody starts having bitterness against somebody. Some 47:08 somebody did something to them. They violated. They gone. Then slowly what happens? Then they become blind. They become blind and they think everything is everybody's wrong. I am only right. That's the blindness. See somebody who 47:25 knows God, they'll be like think about Isaiah. He was saying woe to so and so. Oh to so and so to so and so and he gets the light and he says Lord I am the oh to me that's how it is you think about all the godly men and that's how they 47:43 when they got the revelation of God they got light on themselves no no let let I don't blame Satan also I don't blame anybody Lord what's wrong with me and deal with me I'm here just to fulfill your purpose I want to know you better. 48:00 That's how Jesus lived. Jesus didn't have any complaint against anybody. No complaints. He was filled with love. He was within the boundary where God's love can reach him. He remained himself, sustained himself in that boundary 48:15 because the knowledge of God and the fear of God which he had. And here it says once we break the covenant, Satan can deceive me. But those who know their God will be strong. That is what my burden is. That is what the Lord is 48:32 speaking to me was speaking to me for a long time. John, you should know God. You should know me. And that will help you u stand in grace all the situations all the dealings which I have with you. 48:50 You know the lord's lord deals with us. In fact uh you go further verse 33. Those who have insight among the people. Insight means revelation. Those who have a revelation of God among the people will go give understanding to the many. 49:06 Praise the Lord that God has preserved us in giving insight to some who have grown in the knowledge of God and they have helped us to know God better and helped us to understand the situations better. where the situation thinks that 49:23 somebody is doing something to me. No, no. God says no, no, nobody is doing anything. I allowed it with a good purpose. It's my dealing that that's what that's such people only will grow otherwise they grow in bitterness. 49:39 They they don't grow in the Lord. And what what happens to those people who have insight and uh give understanding to the many yet they will fall by the sword and by flame by captivity and by plunder 49:58 of many days for many days. See this is this is what Paul was saying I think 2 Corinthians 3:12 maybe where it says all those who want to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted because this flesh hates and nobody understands very 50:17 few people understand God's ways very people are seeking after knowing God but God says I will allow this the persecution like persecution what is that Jesus said when you are persecuted for my names sake and when you are persecuted for righteousness 50:35 sake what you are supposed to do Jesus said rejoice another translation says jump for joy because it is not people it is not circumstances it is me I am dealing with you I am dealing with you see that that's what we see that God as as much 50:54 people wanted to seek after God and get to know God better and they understood God's dealing also That's what we see so many examples. We can see we will see few examples. So Acts 17 is this this makes it little more clearer at Acts 51:12 17:26. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the on all the face of the earth. Having determined that means it's very important. He determined their appointed times and appointed 51:29 boundaries and their habitation for what? He decides what circumstances I have to go through. Oh Lord, it's too difficult and too embarrassing whatever. And God says, "No, I appointed all that. I decided all that that they would seek 51:48 God perhaps go for grow for him and find him and seek him and find him know him know him. Such people only can withstand the pressures of life. How do I get grace? If I keep accusing 52:06 my wife or circumstances, situations, people around me, do you think I get grace? No, I don't get grace like that. I I go to God all you think about even Jesus. He he prayed with loud cryings and tears. He he had the pressure of 52:22 life. He didn't accuse. He didn't fight. He went to the Lord. He went to his father. That's how all godly people that's how they have grown. That's that's what the scripture shows that they went to God. They they shut their 52:37 mouth and I can't defend myself. What can I do? I don't do anything. I see God and know him and get close to him and find him and then then even I think Psalm 73 that's what happened with that 52:56 psalmist and he saw a lot of confusion but then what did he do and verse 17 I think it says that he went into the sanctuary of God he saw what outcome of the dealing of the lord he saw that hey what is the outcome hey outcome is going to be completely 53:14 different. What I see now is different. Ah people those who have force and power that's why I think Jeremiah 17 says uh cursed is the man who trusts in his his makes his strength man this that and he will fight and he's a cursed person. He 53:33 will be dry like dead bones. No, he cannot live with his financial situations, boundaries. He cannot keep his boundaries in his words and attitudes. He cannot keep boundaries. He will violate in every way. But the 53:51 humble man who seeks after God, he says, "Lord, you are sufficient for me. I know, I know you are dealing with me. It's not people's circumstances." That is what uh we need to understand. I need to understand brothers and sisters 54:06 because we are going to face such hostile situations much more in future in the last days it'll be much worse means the Jesus said when the lawlessness increases what do you do obviously many people's love will grow 54:24 cold they cannot keep the boundary within they cannot keep themselves in the boundary of God's love they go out and they are ready to do anything but to defend themselves and fight but God will not fight. Scripture says Lord will 54:40 fight for you when you keep silent. That means I earnestly desire after him. And the excellent example was Job. Job 1 vers1 says there was a man in the land of whose whose name was Job and that man was blameless 54:59 upright fearing God turning away from evil. This is the certificate which God gave him to begin with and after that what happened you we we all know what happened. God 55:15 allowed something so difficult and uh and we know what happened. See, God was dealing God permitted which now today we know scripture says but Job didn't know that there was a conversation between uh 55:34 God and Satan and God permitted it. So that was God's dealing. How do I know? James chapter 5 says that. James chapter 5 verse 10. Yeah. Verse 10 says, "As an example, 55:55 brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord." Verse 11, "We count those blessed who endured." You know, we need to endure Lord's dealing. We have to 56:12 endure. We should see that like Jesus said, I think Matthew 5:10, 5'8, uh, blessed are those are pure in heart. They shall see God. And if we reverse that verse, what happens? Cursed is the man 56:29 um is impure in heart and he shall not see God. That means what he will see? He will see people and circumstances, situation. It's impurity. But here this man held it back. He he was so scared to say anything. But what is the outcome? 56:46 You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealing that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. See, he got to know God better. See to begin with verse one chapter 1 verse one says 57:05 he he was upright blameless and fearing God but uh God was not uh kind of satisfied with that. God said no I'm going to deal with this man. He he 57:23 longs after me. I want to deal in such a way that he will seek me and find me. He will get to know me better and he will be a testimony for me. Today we have the book a life of Job to show that like James says, have you seen the outcome of 57:43 the Lord's dealing? That's what is happening with all of us brothers and sisters. We are all going if we are righteous we want to follow Jesus God deals with us and what is the outcome of the Lord's dealing we get to know God better that he is compassion 58:01 and merciful then only we can sustain otherwise we'll be bitter we'll grow bitter we don't grow bitter we'll go grow bitter so that's the outcome what happened and then I was thinking about Moses See mo 58:18 about Moses it says in act seven uh when where Stephen was speaking it was at that time uh this time that Moses was born and he was lovely in the sight of God and was nurtured 3 months um in his father's home and after he had been set 58:36 outside Pharaoh's daughter um took took him away and nurtured him as her own son and verse 22 says like this Moses was educated in all learning and of the Egyptians and he was man of power in 58:55 words and deeds. But when he was approaching the age of 40 it entered um his mind to visit his brothers. See he grew and he felt that yes I have to stand with God's people. In fact, 59:13 Hebrews 11:24 says, "By faith, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, and choosing rather to endure ill treatment with the people of God than to en enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering reproach 59:29 of Christ greater." See, this this happened at the age of 40. But do you know God was not satisfied? God said, "No, I'm going to deal with this man who is so excellent at the age of 40 and I'm going to deal with him and 59:46 put him into very tough situation like I did to Job. And now I'm going to deal with him and and he's going to seek me and he's going to find me and I want him to know me better." So what is the outcome? 1:00:04 After 80 years, he was a humblest man and he was so much grown in the knowledge of God. He he he had a fear of God. Such a lot of fear. He knew what God would do. And he was the humblest man. God could do so many things. He he 1:00:20 was he he was uh humble even then. He was he didn't become proud. He he understood God's dealings and he grew in the knowledge of God. That's how he could stand. He's an excellent example. See the when he was excellent at the age 1:00:37 of 40, God dealt with him and the outcome was he grew in the knowledge of God. That's how it works, brothers and sisters. See, we if if somebody's like simple example would be somebody passes fifth standard, your child passes fifth 1:00:52 standard, then what do you do? Put him in sixth standard. Oh man, what what is this? And if he passes 10th standard, you put him in college. It's much more tougher. See why do you do that? Just because he passed and he may think that 1:01:06 it's good I fail that I don't have to go to college. No, it's so you you know that it's it's a tough situations. They will seek and get to know better their subjects and they will grow. It is good for them. That's how God God also is 1:01:25 dealing with us. And God God may not be dealing with some also because I say thus far no further. No lord no I don't don't I'm touch me not don't touch me don't give me this I don't want this I don't want this like children say I don't want vegetable 1:01:40 okay then what happens one day they have to take vitamin tablets they'll when they go through so many things see that's how it is even sickness for that matter the Paul Paul was an excellent example here I was thinking about Paul 1:01:55 also understood God's ways he understood God's heart rather uh uh I think Philippians chapter 3 here it says that but whatever things were gained to me those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ more than that I 1:02:13 count all things to be loss in view of surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord for whom I have suffered the loss of all things count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ see the thing is He was not satisfied. He 1:02:32 was content. I think chapter 4 verse 11 or 12 says I'm content. I know a circumstances, situation, even hunger. I am content when it comes to earthly things. I am content. But chap chapter 3 7 and 8 says I am not content. I want to 1:02:48 know God better. And what is the way he will deal with me? Paul knew God is going to deal with me. God will put me in some more tough situations, some more difficult situation. As much I desire, he's going 1:03:05 to allow so many things and I can overcome. I think it's chapter I think 2 Corinthians 2:14 says uh I can overcome all things by grace. I can be triumphant in all circumstances by the grace of God. That's what in 2 Corinthians 4 he 1:03:24 says something like this and very important verse 16 therefore we do not lose heart but though our outer man is decaying maybe sickness and problems difficulties externally tough situations 1:03:42 it is decaying but no no problem yet our inner man is being renewed day by day I grow in the knowledge of God I know God better. Oh, they put me in jail. Okay, I know God better. He wrote from jail only. This Philippians, I know God 1:03:59 better. And God will put me into some more tough situations. Yes, that will help me know God better because every tough situations, difficult situations, misunderstandings and sufferings and sickness. He was going through sickness. 1:04:14 He was talking to Timotei. Timotei, you're also going through sickness. No, don't worry. Don't worry. All this works for good. This is what he's saying. For you know what he calls all that sufferings a momentary light afflictions 1:04:29 is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. This that's how he he saw that I think he knew how God dealt with Moses, how God all God dealt with Job and many many godly ones. But he says 1:04:48 that yes this this this is momentary afflict light afflictions. It says and verse 18 while we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal. These are all 1:05:03 temporal situations which God allows. See like Jesus said the cup my father has given is not Judas's career. So my father is given although this all temporal but uh what do I get? I get the better understanding God get the 1:05:20 knowledge of the father and that's how Jesus lived and we come to best example Jesus Jesus said in John 1:18 no one has seen god at any time the only begotten god who is seen in the bosom of the uh 1:05:38 who is in the bosom of the father he has explained to him see you know Jesus had the right to explain and what do I get the explanation of from the life of Jesus all the tough circumstances situations from the birth till death 1:05:57 humanly speaking no easy day was there was not an easy day but because he was committed to growth I want to seek him and find him seek him and find him get to know him better because knowing God 1:06:14 helps me to withstand every pressures of life and pleasures of sin and situations circumstances whatever Satan does and even I'm crucified betrayed in fact Jesus told in one place your own 1:06:30 brothers will betray you means I remember bazak saying don't say oh brother why are you doing this no no no Jesus already warned you don't be surprised about it that's how see the thing is difficult situations circumstances 1:06:46 I remember once Brazak mentioning something like this many many years back. He said when I observe our churches the some church somebody growing in some village Tamil Nadu or somewhere in a remote place there's no no not there's no not a good church or 1:07:03 something like that but I see some growing in good church. The difference I see that though they grow better and faster than those who are in the good church. The difference is and they don't have 1:07:20 anybody to rely on. They don't have good brothers, good fellowship to run to and they seek God and they find God and they grow much faster. And whereas uh those who are living in a good church they depend more on good brothers, good 1:07:37 fellowship, good elders and things like that and their their need is met and they miss the miracle. The miracle God would have done if they had gone to God. I'm not saying that you shouldn't take help from anyone. That's the reality. And when it comes to 1:07:56 spiritual help, if we seek God and find him, God delights in it. Those who fear him seek him. And God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. That's that's how God has arranged. That's that's what it talks about Jesus. Jesus 1:08:11 was like that. I think John 17:3 says, "This is eternal life that they may know you and only true God and Jesus Christ." That's the purpose of life and for that God deals with us. God all those situations and all those things is for 1:08:25 our good. It talks about Isaiah 53. I think verse 10 says God was pleased to crush him and means a crushing means putting under some more circumstances where he will blossom in the the 1:08:43 sufferings and the outcome and he grew in the knowledge of God and he could face more problems and difficulties. Whatever God it's it's come from father's hand. Jesus took it from father's hand. He didn't look at Pilate 1:08:58 or Anna Caiaphas or Judas. No, no, nothing. No, he grew in the Lord because he focused uh on God and dependent on God and he accepted the dealings of God in a good attitude and he grew. And we can also see many examples. May the Lord 1:09:17 help us to understand this so that in the last days Satan will not have upper hand. Whatever he does will remain humble and don't our our fighting is not with flesh and blood. We we don't fight with people. We don't fight with people. 1:09:34 We don't find fault with people. We see Lord you you take you take me through this and help me know you better. May the Lord help us. Amen. the Danish after the song. I'm sorry. [Music] 1:10:46 Let's sing this song. Lord Jesus Christ, we bow in full surrender. [Music] We'll sing verses 1 3 5 and 7. [Music] 1:11:15 Lord Jesus Christ, we bow in full surrender for thou has purchased us on Calary. Now we are thine and thine alone forever 1:11:39 and thou our portion for eternity. We seek to serve thee. We seek to serve thee. conscious of our weakness. 1:11:58 Knowing full well that we are poor and free, yet knowing to them thy almighty fullness 1:12:14 will be our strength and we shall never fail. Repro and scorn this world may heap upon us. 1:12:33 Sorrows and trials in our way. Still we would walk with thee alone Lord Jesus. 1:12:49 till we would love thee more and more each day. Lord, fill us with thy spirit's mighty power. 1:13:08 Make us a blessing to each one we be. Oh, let thy life flow through us like a river 1:13:24 and help us spread abroad thy savior's dream. Dear brothers and sisters, we heard 1:14:16 about knowing God as our father. be heard. Eternal life is to know God personally. And uh I believe uh uh you know even before I came to CFC I knew God was love because even in the unconverted days of 1:14:35 my life I used to pray whenever there is a need in my life I I would pray when exam comes I I would pray. I didn't have much faith but I look back and I see God's mercy that uh he used to answer some of those prayers 1:14:54 and uh Bible says God is good good to his children and even those who are not his children that's why God sent rain that's that's how God allows sun to rise up so this verse if you could turn to 1:15:11 John chapter 1 verse14 14. And the word became flesh 1:15:32 and dwelt among us. And we saw his glory. glory as the only begotten from the father full of grace and truth. So when Jesus manifested his father 1:15:51 through his life, his ministry, it was full of grace and full of truth. In verse 17 again, for the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized 1:16:08 through Jesus Christ. So the two sides of the father, the grace and the truth. And we heard one aspect of that last week that God welcomes a failed sinner who is uh repentant. 1:16:28 You don't need to turn to that story. But you know that you know father when son came back he ran but his elder son uh even to him he was pleading going out and pleading to the son to come in but 1:16:46 uh the younger son even when he was eating the pigs in the pig's farm father didn't go after him because the desire of God was not to give a little earthly comfort. It was to uh prepare us eternally to 1:17:06 meet God even as we think of you know the Holy Spirit is pointed in the scripture as a comforter. We all need God's comfort but not just comfort and encouragement but I want God's word to touch me and cleanse me. 1:17:24 How do I become pure? We said we need pure heart. By nature none of us are pure. We are impure. We are mixed. But the Lord deals with us. Even the Job, we heard the story of Job. You know first the beginning itself God says he was a 1:17:41 man who fear God. But was that mean he was perfect? No. There were high thoughts about his own life. It was hidden. He had a name in that place. And when God allows all these things and his own friends came and you know added 1:17:59 to that pressure and then the real self came out. Oh I had a great respect that place. So there the lord met with them. So we believe brothers and sisters that we just uh don't come to church only for comfort. I don't come for comfort. Yes I need 1:18:16 comfort but I said lord please deal with me. And even in the circumstances and the prayer is Lord make me like you. I want to become like you. Not a better version of Danish. No, I have to be crucified with Christ so that the life 1:18:34 of Christ I want to carry in my body the dying of Jesus so that the life of Christ must must be manifested. That's in my home and in my church in our church. So Matthew chapter 5 6. If you turn to Matthew chapter 5 where Jesus 1:18:48 speaks about speaking to disciples and these are the foundation I believe for the new covenant life. These are not rules that we need to try to keep but these are pictures of 1:19:07 spiritfilled life. When holy spirit fills us we will become like this. So, and one thing he often reminds in this is your father. Turn to uh verse four in chapter 6. It's about giving 1:19:31 three and four. When you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. So that your giving will be in secret. and your fathers who sees what is done in secret will reward you. 1:19:49 So I believe Jesus has done much good in secret. I don't believe many of all these things are written in the scripture but and he knew that there is a father who sees my life. He will reward me. There is a public life and there is a 1:20:08 private life. And these chapters reminds us to where to put our focus. As I try to speak, I am very careful how I speak. But I believe I'm I really want to be more careful about my heart. That there is no root of bitterness. 1:20:27 No matter how the devil try to put in us the bitterness or unforgiveness, we will not yield to him. We keep our heart pure. You know we heard brother John was mentioning the church should be spotless. So how do I become you know create a 1:20:47 make a sport in the church if I come with the wrong attitude bitterness unforgiving attitude then it's a sport on Christ's body and again if you come in the same chapter again in verse 8 1:21:04 7 and 8 when you're praying go into your inner room close your door and pray to your father who's in secret. And your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you're praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles 1:21:23 do. For they suppose that they will be heard because of their many words. So do not be like them. Your fathers knows. Your father knows what you need before you ask him. Our father knows our needs. Brothers and sisters, many of us have different needs 1:21:42 in our heart and uh sometimes we let our brothers and sisters to pray brother I'm going through a difficult condition but there are sometimes which we can't say that to anyone because it's so private but the lord knows the father knows our need. 1:22:01 So this is the picture of God. A father who knows the needs of his children and a father who sees what is done in secret. And then you know when it comes to prayer there 1:22:18 is something which Jesus reminds us. This is in verse chapter 5. Chapter 5 verse 22. I say to you that everyone who is angry 1:22:39 with his brother shall be guilty before the court. And whoever says to his brother, you good for nothing, shall be guilty before the Supreme Court. And who say to you, you fool, 1:22:57 shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. Therefore, if you're presenting your offering at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before at the altar 1:23:15 and go and first be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your offering. So I don't know whether you see it in this is speaking about prayer or come to give an offering to the Lord 1:23:33 and I don't know how many of you believe a praying person can go to fury hell. So a thief can go to hell. We understand a a murderer can go to hell. But if you see these verses, it says a praying 1:23:50 person can go to hell. A praying person can go to fear a fury hell. So we believe you know there are religious things that we do come to church on Sunday and u maybe prayer these are religious things 1:24:09 and uh we think okay these things will compensate for our failures or for the things which we need to settle Jesus taught us give it to Caesar what due to Caesar if I don't settle where I have wronged. If I have not 1:24:28 apologized to someone whom I hurt, the Lord will not hear my prayer. I don't have any doubt against it. So brothers and sisters, we please don't misunderstand. We are not saying that you know Bible says we can come to the 1:24:44 throne of grace with boldness by the blood of Christ. It is the blood of Christ through which we enter. But there are conditions. And in the same first three chapters 5, 6 and 7, we see when Jesus taught us to pray to forgive others. 1:25:02 So turn to chapter 6 verse 15. But if you do not forgive others, then your father will not forgive your transgressions. So do you believe brothers that I can be 1:25:21 in a church 50 years but at the deathbed I can be like David? David was in the old covenant that I die with bitterness I see this has this that person has done this to me that person has done this to me and then all my life 1:25:39 will be wasted and I will go to hell according to the words of Jesus Christ. So the the the father in the which Jesus presented I'm so thankful for the church here that uh over the years brothers would let us show showed me the both sides very 1:25:57 clearly. It's not grace it's grace and truth and there are conditions which we need to apply which need to follow. If I want God to answer my prayer u that's why even you know many times we reminds us to read good foundation those 1:26:16 who come newly because many do not practice this truth and they themselves cannot guide somebody else. So we are not saying we are the only church who proclaim the truth but uh as far as we know to the best of us we want to proclaim the truth in the 1:26:35 scripture. We want to give you comfort. We want to encourage our children but we want to make it clear that unless you follow the scripture you cannot be a disciple. Those who love God will obey him. And uh the love for God is not proved by 1:26:53 singing, not by singing, not just by attending sing uh the meetings but it is by obedience. Obedience in the secret life. I when I became Christian I before that I had cheated lot lot of people in business. I had to give back thousands 1:27:09 of rupees and uh sometimes apologize. It's not very easy to go before somebody and I did this wrong. But the Lord remands it. Demands it brothers and sisters. But uh instead of that I say I will give something in the offering box. I will 1:27:28 pray more. It won't help. It won't help one bits and sisters. The the father is righteous. And uh the father is righteous. And you know the last week we heard a message from brother sag that was a series of 1:27:45 threepart three uh message. There are three messages in that series and the last uh part of that message is titled the father who disciplines. So I believe brothers and sisters we will have a balanced understanding of god in our heart and if you are sincere 1:28:03 we are honest and uh we will seek the lord that is that's what it's called commitment. If uh if I say to god lord don't touch me I just uh want to be here I want to be comfortable. I don't think God will allow you to go through struggles, 1:28:19 difficulties. But if you say, Lord, I don't care what it takes, Lord, but before this I leave this earth, I want to know you, Lord. I want to complete the plan which you have for me. Then the Lord will allow you to face difficulties and trials. 1:28:36 And uh uh I believe brothers and sisters uh closing I want to share one more verse in 44 5 uh Matthew 5:44. I say to you love your enemies and pray 1:28:58 for those who persecute you. I say to you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. So this should be our heart. This should be our attitude. No matter what difficulty that we face. But it is also reminds here 1:29:16 it says uh pray if someone persecute you. No it is says pray for those who persecute you. That means if you really want to live a godly life you will face persecution. It's a promise. If you want to those who want to uh live a godly life, they will 1:29:34 be persecuted. Our attitude is that we will love them and we will pray for them. And that's how Stephen uh entered into glory and people were throwing stones at him and he prayed for them and his eyes was fixed on heaven. 1:29:51 His eyes was fixed on the Lord who was standing up. Brothers and sisters, I believe God will make us like him. grant us his character and pray that uh God will give us grace to endure till the end in love. Let's pray and commit this 1:30:06 time. A gracious heavenly father, we thank you father for revealing yourself Lord in our midst and thank you for the teachers, brothers who led us and he showed us the correct picture of 1:30:25 you and Lord help us Lord to please you in all things. You are a father who sees what is in our heart and you're a father who sees our hidden motives and our attitudes. Lord, help us to represent 1:30:42 you. Help us to be full of grace and truth. Help us to find that balance in our lives. Help us to please you alone, Lord Jesus. Help us to do your will. We pray for all of us who are gathered here, Lord. Make us all ready to meet you, Lord. You don't 1:31:01 desire anyone to perish, Lord. Pray that Lord, you will grant repentance and faith to each one of us and prepare us, Lord. Fill us with the Holy Spirit, Lord. Thank you. Thank you, Father, for speaking to us. We commit the rest of 1:31:14 the day. Thank you. In Jesus precious and mighty name we pray. Amen. We'll have the announcements now.
