This is my God and I will praise him. My father's God I will extol him. The Lord is a warrior. The Lord is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has 30:30 cast into the sea. God's heart is that whatever we do, that means even singing, praying, let all that come from the heart of love 35:48 whatever we do. But like Brother Suresh mentioned, it's not really possible. If we examine our own heart, um it's not possible. Uh we may do it out of ritual. 36:06 We may do it out of compulsion compulsion. And somehow without the power of the Holy Spirit, it's difficult. >> [clears throat] >> So, you know, it's good to examine our own life as we come to the end of our life end of 36:23 the year, by the way. Um I was thinking about this verse in Genesis chapter 1. So, um kind [clears throat] of challenging to see how God looks at his own work whatever 36:42 he does. >> [clears throat] >> Like that we also can apply Genesis chapter 1 verse 4. God saw the light was good and God separated light from darkness. And >> [clears throat and cough] 37:02 >> he saw that and said, "It is good." And the light was good. That means what I understand from there is that God examines his own work and sees whether it is good. 37:20 When God himself examines his work, how much more we should be examining our own life? Because we know the the foundation of our life is that we have relationship with God. It's not only for ourselves, but that is 37:40 the reason God has created each one of us. God has created so that he can have relationship with us. Then our utmost desire and motive or goal should be to have a relationship with him. And then verse 10 we read. 37:59 There also it says at the end God saw or God examined that it was good. God everything whatever God does God examines. For example, 38:17 God looks at my life from January to December and looks at it and should be able to say, "Oh, yeah, it is good." Or it's better. There is a time God said, I think 38:36 verse 31, where God said it was very good. I'll come to that. And one more verse I read verse 12. There again it says consistently God saw that it was good. After doing the work, 38:54 see the we need to see the goal. The goal is that ultimately God has in something in mind that he is going to create man and woman and to give them the place for them to dwell. See, when God is creating place 39:13 [clears throat] for man and he is seeing that it's good for him, uh for man, and also for himself. See, a place should be a convenient and 39:30 a right place so that God can have fellowship with man. I was so challenged. God But that was that time there was no sin. When there was no sin, God works and God creates a place. >> [snorts] 39:48 >> And then again one more verse, verse 18. There also it says God separated light from the darkness and God saw that it was good. How much more we should be examining our own life? The throat the scriptures if we see that 40:04 it's a battle for man to have a communion with God. And then >> [clears throat] >> verse 27 what we see here is God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him male and female. 40:24 But here male and female it says uh the what happened at that time is written in chapter 2 verse 18. Where God said it is not good for man to be alone. God created man. And then God said it's not good for him 40:43 to be alone. You know why? He needed a companion more than that. I think God was thinking he might he can become selfish. He starts thinking about himself. God gave a person along with him 41:02 so that he can show forth his love. And uh how he can show forth his love if the person is not there. So it's to have a vertical relationship we should have horizontal relationship also. Maintain horizontal relationship 41:20 to have a vertical relationship. It was actually a test God was giving. [snorts] But God created that place um and then God said you dwell there. And verse 15, chapter 2 verse 15, a little more description of 41:37 what what was God planning. The Lord God took the man and put him in into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. See when we were born again our eyes were opened to see the kingdom of God. 41:56 That's what Jesus said to Nicodemus. Unless you're born again you cannot see the kingdom of God. And what is kingdom of God? It's a relationship with God. And here God is when God is creating man he's um having a purpose for man. 42:15 You cultivate and keep it. I have created I have given a place for you. When a person is born again God says yes now I took care of all your past. I cleansed your heart through my son's blood. And now 42:32 I'm giving you a responsibility to cultivate and keep it. It's our responsibility. See even when God examines our own life or if I have to examine my own life from January to December, I have to see that 42:49 have I cultivated it and kept it? How is my heart today? Have I received grace from God and has my faith increased? Am I able to uh bring delight to God's heart? Am I able to keep that relationship with 43:08 God despite of my circumstances situations? With all the um tough situations or difficulties sufferings whatever it is, am I able to keep it? That's the purpose. Then God gave a partner also. 43:27 So when there was no sin God created this is what I see when when Jesus spoke to I think Philip asked that question in John 14. Where >> [clears throat] >> uh show us the Father. That time Jesus was saying that I go to the Father and 43:44 create a place for you. I make a place for you all. Then that time that place there is no sin. And God works but here um because later we see in chapter 3 when God man committed sin then onwards the 44:02 the the struggle starts with man and God. What is the struggle? Struggle is that God wanted a place to have um relationship with him but there was no place. The who had to create that place? 44:20 Uh only man has to create that place because he has sinned and gone astray from God. And he has to create a place. And God kept us cherubim there. So in the sword and man has to enter into that. The ultimate the purpose is 44:37 that God can have a relationship with man. That's why we need to examine our own life. Then God said this is good. Not not that time. So when God gave um Eve and said yes now you see you have somebody along with you. Now both of you 44:56 have a good relationship then it is good then you won't be selfish. You don't live a man-centered life. Uh for yourself everything is not for yourself. See I am giving you this place so that you can cultivate and keep it 45:10 and then you can have relationship with me. I was thinking about uh >> [cough and clears throat] >> what we read maybe most of you may have read this week's word for the week. So that is about um Haggai. It says consider your ways. 45:28 That's the title of the article. I was going through that. It is we see God's heart there. And Haggai was so burdened. There's a long time of gap. Yeah Israelites had come to Jerusalem but nothing was happening. 45:45 Then God raises a prophet and he speaks to people there. He speaks he receives the word from the Lord and he speaks there. In Haggai chapter 1 we read there verse 5. One second. 46:05 The third book of book from the last third book of Verse 4. I would like to read from verse 4 which says 46:24 is it time for you yourself to dwell in your panelled houses while this house lies desolate? So God's heart is that you make a place for me. You give place for me. So that I can come and dwell with you. 46:42 So the Old Testament hearts were not cleansed so they had to build a place for God. The Jerusalem the temple was built it was destroyed. But again God's longing was that you make a place for me so that I can dwell with you. 46:59 But that place is defiled. The destroyed. And God says no you come there. So in the New Testament how it applies to me us that Lord I come to repentance and faith. I I trust you Lord. I can't cleanse 47:17 myself. I cannot keep my my heart clean. I cannot be right with you. Lord please help me. See this is the longing of our heart. This should be a longing of our heart. Lord I want to come to repentance and see that is there 47:32 is there is something which makes you sad. I want to turn from that and believe that you will help me. So keeping our relationship with other people and and uh our especially our struggle with sin we we cannot overcome. We don't have 47:48 strength. So how much we depend on him his grace his power. So here people kept quiet said it is too difficult for us. And they thought that if we keep doing um the temple work who will take care of 48:06 how do we take care of ourselves? So that is the struggle. Then you was that's what they were concentrating on that in the verse 5 says therefore thus says the Lord consider your ways. Maybe you have to re-prioritize your life. 48:23 Something has gone wrong. And because of that um your life is not producing fruit. Something wrong. Verse 6 is is is saying you have sown much but harvest little. You eat but there is not enough to 48:42 be satisfied. You drink but there is not enough to become drunk. You put on clothing but >> [clears throat] >> no one is warm enough. And he who earns earns wages to put into purse withholds. See how dangerous it is to 49:01 um leave our relationship with God and not prioritizing God and his plans. So that means in the New Testament how it applies if I neglect my heart that I don't take care of sin 49:20 um deal with sin properly or my relationships properly then my heart gets defiled. My heart is neglected. But I'm my focus is on oh how can I uh be comfortable? How can I be okay? How I I can take care of myself. So many 49:39 things. This is the battle. The Satan wants to make it look more difficult. But like Jesus himself said, seek his kingdom and his righteousness first. That means seek his relationship and do what is right in God's eyes. Then God 49:55 will take care of you. But the Satan wants us to believe that no, let's think about God later. Let us think what uh how we can make ourselves comfortable. This is the battle which was going on. And verse seven also he says, "Thus says 50:13 the Lord of hosts, consider your ways. Go up to the mountains and bring wood and rebuild the temple that I may be pleased with it and be glorified." So this is the battle, brothers and sisters. It's It's It's our priority. Lord, I want to What 50:33 is that wood? Wood is Lord, I want to come to repentance. I want to seek you. Seek your ways. I want your relationship more than anything else. Lord, if you are there with me and things will be okay. Otherwise, it it it doesn't go well with 50:50 me. Repentance and faith is what very important, brothers and sisters. And uh God wants us to be free from self-centeredness. As long as we are focusing on ourselves, we will not be able to please the Lord. When God God says that you make a place 51:10 for me. If you make a place for me, I will come and solve your issues. See, that this is the battle for us. See, we have to make a place for the Lord to come. And which is very difficult without the power of the Holy Spirit. So and you you 51:29 see here 1 Samuel chapter 16 well-known verse. 16:7 Yeah. 51:48 It says God is People think that God is looking at external things. But here God is clearly saying that I am more interested in your internal. God sees not as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. 52:04 So we we have to examine our own heart. Lord, is there something lacking me? See, like last week we were hearing about submission. Is [clears throat and snorts] there a spirit of submission in me? Do I fight with my authorities? 52:20 Or you know, when when I fight with authorities, I am fighting with God. To realize that we need to seek the Lord. Lord, please show me. Is there something which makes you sad? Which which is hindering my growth? Especially my relationship with you. 52:39 It's a battle. So then the David is somebody uh who had a good heart. Despite of his situations, it was not easy for him and he was kind of neglected and despised. Uh everybody thought he he he's not a he's not okay. 52:56 Even when he grew up uh and after he was anointed, he was supposed to be king. But uh Saul was not happy with him. Zea- jealous he had uh disappointment about him. But uh 53:15 But if you look at uh David's heart, his heart was good. See, he kept his heart clean. Despite of his situations, so many times even when he Saul was trying to kill him, his heart was I know I should have respect for authority. 53:35 Though he's he was anointed. Whatever it is. See, that that how that comes? When he cultivated his relationship with God, he cried out to God. Lord, please help me keep my heart clean. Then God from heaven says to Samuel, 53:52 Samuel, externally so many things may be okay, but I am disappointed about the heart of even Saul and others. And whereas Jonathan kept his heart clean. So ultimately what matters is how we keep our heart. Even I was thinking 54:09 about Joseph. Joseph went through so many situations. So many It looks like he was kind of put into kind of uh uh unreasonable circumstances. But what God was seeing was despite of that, 54:28 he's keeping his heart clean. He's He's keeping his heart pure. His attitudes pure to his own brothers or circumstances, situations. So God was with him. That's what God God is desiring basically. So that's how we need to 54:47 examine our own heart. Lord, is there something hindering you to work in my heart? Is there something my attitudes are affected by my own my by circumstances? Maybe something somebody is doing. We are like so Joseph's life. Somebody did 55:06 wrong to him. And it was not reasonable. They treated him badly. But despite of that, because he's kept his heart pure, like David, David also learned from that. David also kept his heart pure. And gradually God was watching that. Oh, 55:25 he's neglected. He's misunderstood. He is ill treated badly treated. Whatever it is. But his heart was right. Then always God was looking at the heart. That is very important, brothers and sisters. Here, so when What is this 55:42 building a place for God? That is our heart in the New Testament. Old Testament, they had to their hearts were not clean. God could not have relationship there. God said, "Make a place." See there, because sin was there, look, 55:57 they had to make a place. But when sin is not there, God will make a place. See, Adam and Eve, God created a place for them. Because there was no sin at that time. God said, "Yeah, I will give you place. You keep it." But when sin was there, man has to go 56:13 back. That's why repentance is very important. When repentance is neglected, >> [snorts] >> um and faith, the right faith, true faith is neglected. See, true faith is always coupled with repentance. If I don't have right attitude to sin, 56:28 if I have some uh maybe wrong attitude to my own wife, maybe uh she's weak, or uh my uh somebody in the off- office, but if I have that wrong attitude, that will destroy me. 56:47 Despite of all that, I must realize, Lord, I want to have a relationship with you. That is more important for me. Will you please help me? See, that's what we say that uh Please turn to Jeremiah chapter 17. 17:10 57:11 I the Lord search the heart. I test the mind. Even to give to each one each man according to his ways. See. See, our ways are determined by our heart and mind. What we do, our priorities in life. 57:29 So God is saying, "I will search the hearts." I will not reward. See if if somebody is growing in the Lord, it's not that they just kept quiet. God God has given us responsibility to cultivate and keep it. We have to guard our heart. 57:48 Guard our heart. Then only we can cultivate and Then only we can guard and we can have a relationship with God. Then I would like to turn to Proverbs chapter four, which is a well-known verse. Verse 23. 58:09 Watch over your heart with all diligence. For from it flow the springs of life. You know, if the heart is not watched, then what comes out is dry. Like we read in Haggai. 58:29 What it says? It says that verse six, "You have sown much, We are listening to a lot of messages. We read books. Now it's very easy to uh get so much of messages and resources. But what it says? 58:49 You have sown much, but harvest little. The the Like it's hand pump. We pump pump I remember living in village. We go to some pumps and keeps pumping pumping pumping. Water won't come at all. The only trickles come. But some where there is lot of water, 59:09 you pump twice the water flow flows much. So that's how it is. That is what he is saying. You eat, but there is not enough. Because there's a block in the heart. There's some wrong attitudes, something 59:27 wrong attitude to God or somebody. Because of that, it is not producing. You're not satisfied. You drink, but there is not enough to become drunk. You put on clothing, but no one is warm enough. So, somewhere the priority has gone 59:46 wrong. Attitudes have gone wrong. That's what God is uh encouraging us to check our heart. Check our heart so that our heart is humble, broken, honest, and go before God. If you see the 1:00:06 history of godly people in the Bible or besides the Bible, many biographies we can read. It's all they come to a point and said, "Lord, despite of all this, maybe I have Bible with me, I have so many resources, but Lord, despite of 1:00:23 this, I'm struggling inside. Lord, will you please help me?" And that crying out, crying out, "Lord, is there is there something which is uh disappointing you or making you sad?" We read that verse. That's another verse which which is very 1:00:43 important. Living Bible I would like to read. Psalm 139. You may have read it many times. Psalm 139. See, this is the heart of David. David was like this. Because of that, God saw that yeah, I 1:01:02 can have a relationship with this man. So, verse 23, "Search me, oh God, and know my heart. Test my thoughts." This is the cry of David's heart. As we come, it's not that oh, we are coming to the end of December. Not really that. See, David's If we go to 1:01:22 David, David will say, "That was my heart's cry every day of my life." It's not oh oh, end of the year or my birthday or some resolutions. No, not really that. It's a pattern. It's the cry of our heart. "So, point out anything you find in me 1:01:42 that makes you sad and lead me along the path of everlasting life." See, you you Why Jesus started with that verse uh that attitude. "Blessed are the pure Blessed are the poor in heart, they shall they theirs is the kingdom." 1:02:00 He says, "The poor in heart means, Lord, is there something not okay? Why I got frustrated, irritated in a situation? Uh why I'm finding difficult?" It's like we read that verse, "Do everything in love." "Lord, no, I'm doing it, but I don't 1:02:17 find love in my heart. Will you please help me see more clearly what is what's wrong with me? Will you please help me?" See, this is what happened with Abraham also. Abraham at the age of 75, God spoke to him. Maybe I believe that 1:02:34 God was speaking to him different time, but that time he heard so clearly. His heart was tender at that time, the age of 75. He was such a rich man. He he had all the comforts. He was He could have lived in comfort there 1:02:52 in Ur of Chaldeans. But he heard voice. "Lord, for me more than that, uh is there some way I can please you and I trust you, Lord." But God said, "Yes, I will raise a nation through you. Will you trust me?" He says, "Yes." But you know, it took 1:03:10 the that heart of faith to cultivate. It took some time. It's a It's a battle. See, we may think that I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. No, it just doesn't work like that. It's a battle. The faith is not kind of just we get it just like that. No. 1:03:29 Because faith always uh coupled with um repentance. This is what [snorts] I was seeing. So, Romans chapter 11 I would like to come to 11. So, wonderful principle I see here. 1:03:53 I was blessed by reading this. How I can improve my life. See, when I'm born again, what was the motive of God? Who who helped me to be born again? How I was born again? How you are born again? 1:04:11 Here it says, verse 36, "From him." >> [clears throat] >> We are born again by him. Um from him. That means he caused us to be born again. That's what Peter says 1:04:29 that you're born again by God's help. He put the seed in you. And for what? So that I will continue my life through him. That means by the help of the Holy Spirit. This is what God was trying to teach Adam the beginning. 1:04:48 "You have to live by me, the tree of life. You cannot live without having relationship with me." But Adam failed. Here it says the principle is from him. See, once we are born again, we know 1:05:04 that Lord, it's you who took such a kind of a step to rescue me. You you had to be died on the cross and suffer all those 33 and 1/2 years 1:05:21 and keep yourself pure and clean before God as a pure sacrifice, and then you were offered a sacrifice, and then you suffered in hell for my sake just to cleanse my heart. 1:05:39 It is from you, Lord. And I'm born again. I can see the kingdom of God. Lord, I don't have any interest. It's Before that, I was living for sin, self, and the world. Now, I don't want that. That is being born again. My past is cleansed. Lord, 1:05:57 it's because of your sacrifice, your blood, my past is cleansed. Now, like God told Adam, "Now, I have given you a place. It's good good place. It will become very good if you keep it and cultivate it." 1:06:17 Here, who will help us to keep and cultivate it? It's the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help us. See, one day when Christ comes, then God will examine that whether we have kept it or not. We may we may show up nicely on Sundays, but 1:06:35 uh are we examining our own life? Uh is God happy every day? That only will be seen that day. And for an extent, Paul told Timothy that yeah, when you are growing, um it will become evident. It will be evident to all. 1:06:55 Most of the godly people will recognize. Those who fear God, those who are walking that path of life, they will recognize. Others may not be able to recognize. Those who are not born again may not be able to recognize your growth. 1:07:10 But here it says, "Through him." See, that that's the means God is taking responsibility. Like I will cause you to be born again. And I will you make you take you through. I will through my uh uh Holy Spirit, through the Holy Spirit 1:07:27 I will take you through each day. And for what? The so that uh to him all things. Everything brings glory to him. That's what brothers and sisters, what matters is that Lord, uh 1:07:45 am I being pleasing to you? Am I pleasing to you? And are you getting glory from my life? You know, it's not that we live good life here on earth, but our life matters before Satan for God. 1:08:05 That's why when God had to write first book about Job, the first thing was God Satan comes to him and God asks him, "Have you seen my servant Job?" Means this is what this is the battle. Actually, we think that oh, I should 1:08:20 live a comfortable life. No, not really that. Why God created man? >> [snorts] >> So that he can have a relationship and tell Satan that look at this man on earth, weak, but he is trusting me. He is 1:08:38 giving me space to work through him so that um >> [snorts] >> uh he will bring glory to me, pleasure to me. Ultimately, that's the goal. That's what I see here. But see the other thing, a contrast here in Daniel chapter 1:08:56 4 I was reading. Uh how our life can be destroyed. See, that's why in the beginning I was saying man-centered life and God-centered life. God wanted us to be centered in him. But here in Daniel chapter 4, we read verse 20 1:09:15 eight. Yeah, 28 and 30 specially. Yeah, and 28, "All this happens to Nebuchadnezzar the king. 12 months later, he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon. The king reflected and said, "See, he's 1:09:33 also examining his life." See, this king God could have removed his breath in a moment. We see the judgment later. >> [snorts] >> But he says he's examining his own work. What he did through his own power and strength. 1:09:52 And he his reaction was the the king reflected and said, "Is this not Babylon the great which I myself have built?" Brothers, if we have brothers and sisters, if we have that attitude that I am born again. I 1:10:12 am leading a good life. I am okay. Then we are not understood God's ways. See, this is what saying, "I myself have built as a royal palace, a royal residence by the might of my power and 1:10:29 for the glory of my majesty." This is this is the spirit of the world, but we have to be careful. See, we are living in this world. We should not forget that. We are not taken out of this world. You why many backslide? Because this the 1:10:48 spirit of Lord through you to you is gone and oh, I want to create my own maybe I am trying to create an impression in the in CFC. Or as a good Christian. I I I want to be known as humble brother. 1:11:07 Uh I want to be known as spiritual brother. Then God that's that could be one of the reason that I am not finding we are not finding growth. It's a block. It's a self-centeredness. I've not understood I was born again. I I was given I I was 1:11:27 [snorts] uh the Lord has made me born again. It is his work. And not for ourselves. Oh, now I can glory or God um I'm right with God and God is supplying all my need. That's not the testimony. Testimony is Lord, am I keeping my relationship with you 1:11:46 properly? Am I able to overcome sin and making you happy every day examining my own life. These are the two things. How I can destroy my life by centering by centering my own centered in myself. But how can I bring delight to God's 1:12:03 heart by being trusting him and uh um knowing that that Lord, you should get glory. And this is what Abraham's life it happened. See, the Abraham was also struggling there. Lord, how can I do this? How can I do 1:12:21 that? You called me. See, he was struggling. You You said you produce a child. You said you will give me a child, but it's not happening. It's not happening. So, I was blessed to read this uh verse 13. And 16 also. Verse 13 uh Romans chapter 1:12:40 4 verse 13. >> [snorts] >> The promise to Abraham or to his descendant descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 1:12:59 See, by trusting God, God will create a righteousness. I think uh 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that uh God is our righteousness. Christ is our righteousness. He will create. He will do it. It's not that oh, I'm born again by God. Now, how can I live? 1:13:17 That is also by God's righteousness. God will put the through his grace. Verse 16 we read that. For this reason it is that it might be in accordance with grace, not by I did this. No, it's not I did this. I cried out. I failed failed failed. I 1:13:36 cried out and Lord did this. This is This is the hope for us for the future. Maybe we failed in this area of trusting God and um through his righteousness through his grace he wanted to do something in me. Um cleanse me maybe. And then he wanted 1:13:53 to uh keep a good close relationship with me. I failed there. For me my life became more important than God being uh close to me. My importance have gone to external things. Maybe activities in the church 1:14:12 or many other things, but internally I failed to keep my heart pure. So, the relationship is gone. External is remaining, but the the Abraham struggled there. But verse 20 is the wonderful verse. Yet with respect to the promise of God, 1:14:32 he did not waver in unbelief. See, see faith is the work of God. He kept on asking, "Lord, I I don't have faith. Please, will you please help me? Will you please help me? I'm struggling." But grew grew strong in faith. You know, 1:14:49 faith is the gift of God. We cannot create in ourselves. We We cannot have faith by ourselves. The faith faith is the gift of God. He grew in strong faith giving glory to God. And he refused to look into himself. 1:15:07 It says yeah yeah, verse 19. Without becoming weak in faith, he contemplated his own body now as good as dead since he was about to uh about a hundred years old and the deadness of Sarah's womb. See, he didn't 1:15:25 see the circumstances. He didn't see uh if if he had seen his own condition and kept looking at it, he would have lost faith. But he refused to look into himself and looked at God. That's what we can do, brothers and sisters. It's not uh 1:15:42 January 2026. Not that. Each day each day I have to examine, "Lord, did you do something in me? Did I give you space for you to do something in me? Did you Did I receive grace from you? Did I receive faith from you?" 1:15:59 Faith is gift of God and grace is gift of God. Lord, by your faith by your faith by your grace are you able to do something in me? I long for it. It's I'm not thinking about year. I don't know whether I'll be there tomorrow. 1:16:18 I want to work towards this direction where Abraham went. He is the father of faith. He He is He's an example for each one of us. That that And greater example is Jesus Christ himself. And he lived one day at a time. He himself said, "Live one day 1:16:34 at a time, but are you growing in faith?" And through grace something is happening in your heart. Uh when I see brothers and sisters things are going well. It means because they are cultivating and keeping it. They are working each 1:16:52 day and and making space for God. See, God says, "I want to dwell." I think Exodus 25 it says when God was telling uh Moses to build a temple, he's telling, "Dwell a sanctuary for me so that I can dwell." See, God wants to 1:17:08 dwell with us, but the problem is are we making that space for him? If we make a space for him, he will give us grace. He will give us faith and things change. Like 2 Corinthians 4 16 where Paul says that 1:17:26 each day I am renewed. I am renewed day by day. The external, yes, the it is becoming it's decaying. Externally it's decaying. Externally I'm not much worried, but internally I'm 1:17:44 running renewed because I'm examining my own heart and I'm making space for God. Maybe I'll just end with this one verse. >> [cough and clears throat] >> 2 Corinthians chapter 13 five. Test yourself to see if you are in the 1:18:03 faith. See, it says the faith. The faith which is by God. It's not I I trust. I do this. Um no, not like that. Test yourself. >> [snorts] >> See if you are in the faith. 1:18:20 Examine yourself. Or do you not recognize this about yourself that Jesus Christ is in you unless indeed you fail the test. Jesus [snorts] comes inside when I make space by repentance and he will create faith. 1:18:37 Through grace he transforms me and I will not be shaken in whatever circumstance and situation. God God wants to establish a witness in each one of us so that we will be proof that oh, I have 1:18:54 like I I have gone met many sisters who have tough husbands, unbelieving husbands. And I see Lord, give them grace. I see that change coming when they trust in the Lord. I can think of many. Especially in North Karnataka I can see many sisters who 1:19:12 came >> [snorts] >> from Hindu background and then they were gripped by the Lord and they helped their children and then slowly husbands also come to the Lord. How it happens is it's by faith. It's but God wants to help the humble and the 1:19:30 weak. If we are humble and weak, I tell many young people especially brothers who's looking for a partner. I say if you are weak, you have a big advantage. If you are weak, 1:19:48 you you have advantage. God will come and fill the space and help you. Take you through. And when we are not weak, then we have our own things to do. We have our own strength. We use our own strength. That's what happened with 1:20:05 Abraham also. He used his strength and produced his smile. No, we have to we can cry out to God. And don't think too many days. One day at a time. Lord, I want to depend on you through your Holy Spirit. Give me grace and faith so 1:20:23 that I'll be changing each day. But ultimately, Lord, your glory goes to you. I want to give space to you. I want to make make you happy through my life. May the Lord help us. We'll have a song. We'll sing a song 1:20:45 then. Brother Charles will conclude. Amen. 1:25:32 We have almost come to the end of 2025. It's good for us to check ourselves and see how it's gone with us in 2025. In another few days, we'll be entering into the new year. 1:25:51 It's always good for us to examine ourselves because the word of God says examine yourself. Like we heard this morning, consider your ways. It's very important why God says that to us. 1:26:08 Consider your ways. Examine yourself. Why? We can't just live like the world because God has separated us from the world. You see, we read 1:26:28 in the first book of the Bible Genesis chapter 1 verse 4. In the first chapter of the first book of the Bible the Lord started doing something which is very significant. That is he said let there be light. 1:26:47 And as soon as light appear, he said in verse 4 it say he separated light from darkness. Why did God do that? Because light and darkness cannot coexist. And they cannot 1:27:08 have relationship because the word of God says you are the light of the world. And don't get mixed up with the world, he says. And we many times get mixed up with the world and we live 1:27:28 like the world. We walk like the worldly people. We talk like the worldly people. And outsiders don't see any difference in us. We are the same like them. 1:27:46 And they don't find any difference between them and us. Because we have compromised our light has become dimmer and dimmer 1:28:02 and is merging with darkness. That shouldn't be like that. We read in the first chapter God separated three times. He did separation. One is light from darkness. Another land from sea. 1:28:20 And another again sun from moon to rule the day and night. So God is a God of separation. Many of people think why are you so exclusive? Of course God is exclusive. 1:28:38 God has nothing to do with the devil. God and Satan cannot coexist. There is no peaceful coexistence before God and Satan or before God's children and the worldly people between light and 1:28:56 darkness. They cannot coexist. They are poles apart. Dear brothers and sisters, we need to see why God wants us to be separate, to come out from the heathen. Turn with me to 2 1:29:16 Corinthians chapter 6. He makes it very clear to God's people. 2nd Corinthians chapter 6. He says in verse 14, "Do not be bound together with 1:29:36 unbelievers." He's talking with believers and unbelievers being together, mixing together. He says, "What partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with the 1:29:56 darkness?" Here, the believer is called righteousness, and unbeliever is called lawlessness. And it is 1:30:14 the believer is called light, and unbeliever is called darkness. "And what harmony has Christ with Belial?" That means Christians are a part of Christ's body. 1:30:33 And in a sense, we are mini Christs, if I can use that term respectfully. Christian is a one in whom Christ dwells, Christ in you, 1:30:53 the hope of glory, it says in Colossians. "So, what fellowship has Christ with Belial?" Belial is Satan, darkness, prince of this world, or Belial. And "What agreement has the temple of God 1:31:15 with idols?" You are the temple of God, the Bible says. The ones who have repented of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ, they are called God's temple. And it says, "What temple What agreement has the temple of God 1:31:34 with idols? For we are the temple of the living God." God makes a clear distinction between light and darkness, between believers and unbelievers, between righteous people and unrighteous people, between 1:31:52 Christ and Belial. So, we are not of the world. We have been redeemed from the world. That is the reason why Christ came. He delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and placed us in the kingdom of his dear son, 1:32:10 so that we might walk as children of light. Further, it says that because we are the temple of God, just as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 1:32:29 Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate." Again, the word separate. God wants his people to be separated from the world, the ways of the world, the people of the world. 1:32:48 We are called to be God's children, and Peter uses a special word for that. You are a peculiar people, he says. God's peculiar people. Sounds funny, 1:33:07 but God wants us to be peculiar in that way, that we don't mix with the world. We don't talk like the world. We don't walk like the world. We don't mingle with them. We have our own identity 1:33:24 as children of God, as children of light. Because Jesus said, "As long as I'm in the world," Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." But when he was going, he said, "Now, you are the light of the world." 1:33:42 Now, God has made us to be light of the world and to live as children of light, not taking part with darkness anymore. Because we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and placed into the kingdom of light. 1:34:02 That's why God's children are different. He says, "Come out from their midst and be separate. Do not touch what is unclean. I will welcome you. I will be a father to you. And you shall be my sons and daughters," says "the Lord Almighty." Therefore, 1:34:21 next verse, it says in chapter 7, "Having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Isn't it 1:34:38 Isn't it God's work to cleanse us? It is true. "As many as received him, to them he gave power to become God's children," it says. "And as we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity." 1:34:58 It's true. But here it says, "Having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Why cleanse ourselves? Is it not God's 1:35:17 work? Yes, initially, we cannot do anything about our sin. When we come in repentance and ask God for mercy, he cleanses us. True. But after that, he wants us also to cooperate with him. 1:35:34 And he wants us to cleanse ourselves as far as it lies within you. "Cleanse yourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit." The same thing. In 1 John 3:3 also, he says, 1:35:52 "Those of us who have this hope of seeing Christ as he is when he comes will also cleanse himself as he is holy." So, there is a side where God cleanses me. 1:36:11 There is one another side where I cleanse myself in cooperation with God, not separately from each other. God cleanses and accepts me. And when I am accepted by God, the Bible says, 1:36:28 "Consider your ways. Judge yourself." Paul said that to the Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians 11, he said, "If you judge yourself, you will not be judged." You know, on the day of judgment, when I stand before the judgment seat of 1:36:47 Christ, if I have cleansed myself here on earth about conscious sins that I know about, sins that I'm aware of, that dwell in my flesh, as I keep cleansing myself, 1:37:11 then on the day of judgment, I will not be judged, it says. Isn't it a glorious gospel that we have? The Lord cleanses me, and I also cooperate with him 1:37:28 and hate sin as he hates. And I cleanse myself. Paul says it very makes it very clearly in Galatians chapter 5. He speaks about the deeds of the flesh. Chapter 5 verse 19. "Now, the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are 1:37:48 immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry." You see there a list of sins that we were all partaking, or we enjoyed before coming to Christ. That's immorality, impurity, sensuality, 1:38:06 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, that is heresies, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned 1:38:26 you, that those who practice such things shall not inherit God's kingdom." Can it be clearer than this? Such people will not inherit God's kingdom. If you find any of these things still in you, my friend, 1:38:46 come to Christ. Plead for mercy. Repent. He will forgive you graciously. And then it says, "But the fruit of the spirit 1:39:04 when you come to Christ and he cleanses you from all these things and gives you a new heart and a new mind, makes you a new creation in Christ. All things pass away and behold everything become new. Becomes new and then 1:39:21 it says the Holy Spirit starts working in us. And the Holy Spirit produces this ninefold fruit. That is the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, 1:39:40 goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. And against such things there is no law. My dear brothers and sisters, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Do not defile it again 1:39:58 by going back into the world. They may be I mean these temptations, these sins, these come in sugar-coated ways. You know, like how we want to give bitter medicine to our 1:40:18 children sometimes we just dip them in honey and put in their mouth or something like that. Some bitter medicines are sugar-coated so that it tastes nice and then you swallow it then inside it goes it is bitter then it does its work. 1:40:35 So, God's word is like that. It cuts but it heals. But don't be afraid. After the surgery is done, you will be all right. God does deal with us as children, as 1:40:53 father with his children. And he does that for our good. And at the end of every day it is good for us to check ourselves. How has this day been? Have I lived in the light of God's word? Have I 1:41:12 lived with a clear conscience? Has it been good with me? If I judge myself each day like that, I will not be judged. It says. So, shall we bow our heads in prayer and ask the Lord to 1:41:31 speak to us every day so that we respond to his promptings and pleadings and that we harden not our hearts but be sensitive to 1:41:49 the Holy Spirit's promptings that his word will have its effect in us in changing us every day little by little day by day 1:42:06 changing us into the image of Christ. That is the goal for which God has called us. Father, we thank you for this morning and thank you for your word and we praise you that you have a glorious plan 1:42:25 and purpose for us. You have not called us, you have not destined us to be children of wrath but you have destined us to partake of your salvation and your nature and be like you 1:42:42 the day when you come back.
