0:02 [music] >> Praise the Lord that we can come together and hear God's word again. >> [clears throat and cough] >> There are many things 0:21 that you have probably heard here if you've not heard me before that are probably new and different from what you normally hear in most churches. For example here we often tell people don't give 0:41 which is 100 180° opposite to what what you hear in other churches. Because we are more interested in a person having a right relationship with Jesus Christ and with the Father than in anybody's money or his becoming a member of our church 1:00 or any of these things. If they can come into a right relationship with God and live a godly life wherever they are. They don't have to be a part of our church. Live a godly life as a testimony to Christ in every area, especially in the area of 1:17 money. We are happy. We don't ask anyone to join our church. Live a godly life wherever you are and be a testimony and gather two or three people of like mind. Because Jesus said, "Do you know what 1:36 size minimum size for a church?" Two or three. Because the mark of a New Testament church is not a particular pattern. The mark of a New Testament church 1:52 is that Christ is there in the midst. And if And Jesus said in Matthew chapter 18, "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, 2:08 I am there in the midst." So, I say that is the verse that teaches us the minimum size of a church. It's not 200, it's not 2,000, it's not 3,000. It is two or three. But, notice we we must read scripture 2:27 carefully. Many people read it like this, "Where two or three gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst." Wrong. What did I say wrong? I'll repeat it. "Where two or three gathered together in my name, I am in 2:44 the midst." Wrong. Where two or three are gathered together by the Holy Spirit in my name. Gathered together means somebody else is doing it. It's not you going somewhere and getting two three people and saying, "Okay, 3:03 let's meet together in my house. Jesus is here." He's not there. Were they gathered? Who gathered them? >> [clears throat] >> Was it the Holy Spirit? This is how we have started in every church that's been planted in every 3:18 country in the last 50 years. Gathered together by the Holy Spirit. We've never attempted to just gather together and say, "Okay, we want to start a branch of our church." Garbage. Rubbish. It'll never be the church of Jesus Christ. 3:32 It'll be a gathering of people who are connected with some group. But, when we are gathered together by the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, not in the name of some group or something, in the name of Jesus, we come together, 3:48 gathered by the Holy Spirit, there is the beginning of a new covenant church. And that's what Jesus wants to see in every part of the world, in every country, in many, many cities. And we hope that many of you who have come from different places 4:04 will hear the call of the Holy Spirit. Whichever church you may belong to, perhaps in your home, the Holy Spirit will gather two or three. The Holy Spirit must gather. That's how it started in my home with my wife Annie and I 4:23 when we were literally kicked out of a Baptist church. That's what happened. In 19 75, I remember the date so well, August the 17th, 1975. We were in a Baptist church preaching. We were not members of the church. I volunteered to preach there every 4:41 Sunday. I said I'll never take a title. I've never had a title in my life. And I will not take a title, and I will not take a salary. But I'll preach every Sunday, and I preached there for 1 year on these two conditions. Don't give me a 4:54 title, and don't give me a salary. So I preached there, and then I was preaching on the baptism in the Holy Spirit. And after some time, the board of the Baptist church said, "Brother Zach, we don't believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit. So 5:10 please resign." I said, "Sure." "Will you give me a chance to speak one last time next Sunday to say goodbye to everybody?" They said, "No, we won't." "Okay, thank you very much. God bless you. I want to assure you I will not ask 5:25 anybody to leave this church with me. I will not cause a split. I'm not a servant of God who goes around causing splits. God bless you all." But two, three days later, they relented, and they felt sorry, and they said, "Okay, Brother Zach, you 5:40 can speak one last time." And I got up that Sunday, I remember it so well, the morning of August 17th, 1975. And I said there was a day when the children of Israel after they came out of Egypt 5:56 came to a place called Kadesh-barnea. And they sent some spies into the land of Canaan which God had asked them to go and occupy. And they came back. And 10 of the spies said, "We can't go in there. 6:15 The giants are too big and too strong." But two Two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, said, "We can go. If God is with us, we can go. These people will be like bread that we can eat." Those are the words he used, like bread. 6:30 And they listened to the 10 spies. And they turned around. >> [snorts] >> And I called that the moment of crucial decision. Very, very serious moment of decision. It was a decision 6:48 that would affect their families. It would affect 600,000 people there for the next 38 years. One decision. "We will not go in. We don't want this. We don't want to go in here. It's dangerous. 7:07 This is not God's will. We don't want this doctrine." And they turned around, and I called it the moment of crucial decision. And they and their families suffered for the next 38 years until all of them died in the wilderness. 7:23 These things are written for our instruction. And I said, "Today your church has come to a moment of crucial decision. You have to decide. Do you want to reject the message of being filled with the Holy Spirit? 7:41 Or do you want to preserve your Baptist doctrine? You choose. A couple of months before that, there was a godly man who came from another country who had a prophetic gift 7:59 who got up in the same Baptist church where I was this is a couple of months before I left and said, "Dear brothers and sisters, he says I'm I'm a new visitor here. I'm come from another country, but God has given me a message to your 8:14 church in that church." And I was sitting there. I'd been preaching there for about 10 months. This is 2 months before I left. He said, "God says to you, listen to this man of God. He is sent to listen with your message with a message. 8:28 And if you reject him, God will take him away from here and start a fire in this very city where people will come from all over the world to warm their hands." That's exactly what happened. We left. Two of us left. I left alone. 8:47 But the man who was a serving the Lord there as an assistant pastor, he said, "If you don't want Jack, I'm also quitting." And so two of us decided to leave that morning. And I told that brother, "What shall we do? You can come home. We'll meet in our 9:03 home." So his family and Annie and I, my wife, we met in our home with our small children and his small children. We didn't know that that was the beginning of a work that God would finally lead to spread to many countries around 9:20 the world and plant scores of churches everywhere that preached not baptism in the Holy Spirit, but the emphasis was on holy. The immersion. Baptism means immersion. Immersion in 9:36 the h o l y spirit. And so we did have the gifts of the spirit sure. We prayed for the sick, we cast out demons and we spoke in tongues and all that but the emphasis was h o l y holy 9:53 spirit. Immersion in the holy spirit. It's like you immerse yourself in some water of a particular color, that color is all over your clothes. Immersion [clears throat] in the holy spirit means you'll be holy. And we emphasize that so many churches that 10:13 preach the immersion or baptism in the holy spirit, we don't see much holiness among them. The strife and quarreling and a lot of noise and excitement and lot of musical instruments and all but holiness freedom from the love of money 10:28 freedom from quarreling and fighting, freedom from divorce, such a lot of divorce in churches that preach so-called baptism in the holy spirit. What is that? That's a fake a counterfeit a disgrace to the name of Jesus Christ 10:43 our Lord. And we said Lord preserve us and the Lord has preserved us in all these 40 50 years we've never changed the message one bit. We preach the same message continuously. Jesus Christ can save you from all your sin. 11:02 Not forgive your sin, that's an Old Testament message. Psalm 103, bless the Lord oh my soul. David said that 1,000 years before Christ. Psalm 103 bless the Lord oh my soul who forgives all a l l your sins. That's Psalm 103, that's an Old 11:21 Testament message. The New Testament message we saw was in John Matthew 1:21, bless the Lord who saves you from your sin. And I used to use the example of supposing the construction workers are digging a hole in the road in front of our house. 11:40 And my little six-year-old boy goes near and I say, "Son, don't go anywhere near there. You'll fall into that pit. It's a deep 10-ft pit they dug there." And you know how little boys are, they're curious. They go near that He goes near that pit 11:54 and he falls in. And he cries out, "Daddy." I go there and say He says, "Dad, I'm sorry for disobeying you." It's all right, son. You're forgiven. Goodbye. Have I forgiven him? >> [clears throat] >> Yes or no? 12:12 Have I saved him? You understood the difference between forgiveness and salvation? We speak about salvation, we only think of forgiveness. I forgave my sin and my son, rather, for his disobedience, but I haven't saved him. 12:27 I save him when I pull him out of that pit. Jesus did not come only to forgive. The first promise in the New Testament, Matthew 1:21, he will save. Beyond forgiveness, he will save his people not from hell. I've never preached salvation from hell. 12:44 I preach salvation from sin. And if you're saved from sin, one day you'll be saved from hell. I'm not interested in preaching salvation from hell. I'm interested in saving people from sin right now. And we've seen that happen in lives. 12:57 We've seen homes that are changed. We've seen families that are tense with each other coming in fellowship, glorious fellowship with each other. That is the work God has done in many parts of the world now. And we, you know, went to that promise 13:14 in Acts 1:8, when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you shall receive power. And you shall be my witnesses. In those days it was Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth. For us in Bangalore in India, it was 13:29 Bangalore, Karnataka, India and the uttermost parts of the earth. So, we started initially distributing CDs and um those were the old days we had CDs and cassette tapes with which all our messages were distributed. And we reached 13:44 Bangalore, Karnataka, which is a state in India. And I said, "Lord, you said the uttermost parts of the earth as well." We prayed, we waited, and many years later, lo and behold, the YouTube opened up. Free, we could put our messages there. 14:02 And we did reach the uttermost parts of the earth. We've got responses from 186 countries responding to the message of the power of the H O L Y spirit to save us from sin. And such people coming together and forming a local fellowship. 14:22 Maybe two or three in the beginning, but it rose in numbers. We're not interested in interested in a mega church. We're interested in a holy church. Jesus came on earth to save us from our sins. And it was that that is the reason why he immerses us in 14:38 the H O L Y spirit. That's the second promise in the New Testament. He will baptize you, immerse you in the H O L Y spirit. Both the promises are relation relating to holiness and freedom from sin. And that's what we have consistently 14:57 proclaimed. Sometimes a church starts off in some a good way, but you see that church, what it is preaching 10 years later, 20 years later, it's changed. It it happened to the Lutheran church in the 1500s. It happened to the Methodist 15:10 church in the 1800s after John Wesley died. Gradually, the message shifted. We don't want our message to shift. We want it to remain freedom from sin. Freedom from fear of Satan. 15:28 And the other thing we proclaimed was what all did Jesus accomplish on the cross? For years many people only praying Christ died for our sins on the cross by his blood we are cleansed. Was that all that accomplished on the cross? 15:42 Why should we get only 1/4 1 quarter 25% of the inheritance that our father laid gave for us? I told people supposing your father is a billionaire and he's left a huge inheritance for you, his only son or daughter and that inheritance is kept in 16:00 different banks in different places and he's written a will. This is for my son. And some crooked lawyer attorney takes that will and cheats and takes 90% of the money for himself and gives this poor boy 10%. That's the type of cheating that's been 16:19 going on in Christendom. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. We proclaim that. What else happened on the cross? Is it only forgiveness of sins? No. We preach the second thing. Romans 6 Sin shall not rule over you. 16:38 Romans 6:14. Why? Because on the cross Romans 6:6. Romans 6:6. Your old man was crucified with him. Romans 5 it says by the blood of Christ Romans 5 10 we are reconciled to God by the death 16:57 of his son. That's the first part. By the blood of Jesus we are cleansed. Romans 5 and verse 9. Saved from justified by his blood. Okay. Number one. But number two on the same cross our old man verse Romans 6 says was crucified 17:15 with Christ. And that's a question. How was my old man crucified with Christ? I'm living in the 20th, 21st century. How could my old man be crucified with Christ 2,000 years ago? I'll tell you how. Because the Bible says in Ephesians 1:4 17:32 that we were chosen in Christ. Do you know when? I was born again in 1959. But God chose me before he created the heavens and the earth. Ephesians 1:4, chosen in Christ before 17:49 the foundation of the world. If you're born again, dear brother, sister, do you know that God knew your name before he created heaven and earth, before Genesis 1:1, in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, before 18:03 that? He knew Zac Poonen. And if you're born again, he knew you. And that's why he could put me and you in Christ thousands of years later on the cross. Because he knew us in Christ before the worlds were created, he could 18:20 put us with Christ on the cross so that our old man was killed with him. And he says the reason is Romans 6:6, so that you will not be a slave to sin anymore. This is the truth that has not been proclaimed. That's why you have see 18:36 believers all over the world slaves to sin, slaves to anger, slaves to bitterness, husbands and wives fighting with each other. Slaves to depression. Slaves to slaves to complaining, slaves to telling lies, slaves to cheating one 18:53 another, slaves to cheating the government on taxes. Because they love money. Slaves to money. Because they have not understood the second great truth that God put us in Christ and crucified the old Zac Poonen, the old you on the 19:12 cross. Now, if you did not know that your sins were put on on the cross, you'd be still living in guilt with your sin. Exactly. And when I did not know that my old man was crucified on the cross, I was a slave to sin. Cuz it says here, 19:27 when you know, Romans 6:6, that your old man was crucified with Christ, you're no longer a slave to sin. Praise the Lord. That's the second thing that happened on the cross. Where have you heard it? Have you heard it anywhere? 19:42 That your old man was crucified and how your old man was crucified and how you God knew you in Christ before the foundation of the world. That's why he could put you in Christ even before you were born with Christ and crucify you 19:54 with him so that you should no longer be a slave to sin now. Number two. Number three. >> [clears throat] >> Hebrews chapter Something else that happened on the cross, which is hardly ever proclaimed. 20:12 Hebrews in chapter two and verse 14. Since the children took part in flesh and blood, Jesus also, likewise, took a part in the same flesh and blood. He came to earth. Why? 20:30 You said to die for my sins. Good. You said so to crucify my old man. Good. Something more. That's not the end of the good news. There is more that your billionaire trillionaire father in heaven has put down as your inheritance. 20:46 That he might render Satan powerless. Render the devil powerless. And deliver the people who through fear of death were slaves to Satan all their lives. That's the third thing that happened on the cross. 21:06 Satan was defeated. You know when that was promised? As soon as Adam and Eve sinned. >> [clears throat] >> And you know they all blamed one another. Eve's Adam said Eve gave me the fruit. 21:25 And Eve said the serpent told me to eat it. Okay, God said. He got cursed the serpent. Genesis 3:14, you're cursed. Remember he's speaking to the devil who was in that serpent. You're cursed. And that's the day that till then the 21:42 snake could walk upright. That day this from that day the snake began to crawl on the ground. If you see the snake crawling on the ground it's because of this. He said now you from now on you will crawl on your belly and eat dust. 21:56 Genesis 3:14 for the rest of your life. And one day the seed of this woman, verse 15, will crush your head. And you will bruise his heel. His heel will be pierced. And Jesus heel was pierced. But with that same heel he crushed the 22:14 head of the serpent. That's the third thing that happened on the cross. It was prophesied then that he might make him powerless. The devil's not killed. The serpent is not killed. It's been stunned and made unconscious. 22:32 He cannot touch a child of God. He's very alive for unbelievers. But to the believer who believes that he was defeated on the cross. That's the third thing that happened on the cross which is repeated also. The third thing is also mentioned 22:49 in Colossians. Let me read that verse to you. Colossians I'm trying to preach to you the full gospel. Colossians in chapter two. What happened on the cross? Verse 14. 23:11 Colossians 2:14, he canceled the certificate of debt. Because of our sins, we had a debt to God. Do you know that every single sin that you commit is a debt to God? And our debt to God was in millions. He canceled out that debt. 23:29 Took it out of the way. Nailed it to the cross. Hallelujah. But that was not all. On while he hung on the cross, verse 15, he took away the armor of the rulers and authorities, that's the demons and the devil. And he made a 23:49 public display of them. Having triumphed over Satan through the cross. That's the third thing that happened on the cross. That's why we are not I'm not afraid of the devil. I remained afraid of the devil many years after I was born again because I 24:06 nobody told me that Satan was defeated on the cross. I was always afraid, what would he do to me? Will he trip me up here? Will he tempt me there? Will he push me down here? I'm not afraid of him now. I can say boldly, Satan is afraid of me. 24:22 Not because of me, because Christ dwells in me. And because my conscience is clear. And I say to every one of you believers, if your conscience is clear and you have yielded every part of your life to Christ, Satan will be afraid of you. 24:38 He's afraid of such believers. We are trying to raise up an army of believers who will scare the devil. Not just who will preach about forgiveness of sins. Not even those who will preach about victory over sin. That's the second thing, your old man is 24:54 crucified. But you will also proclaim that the devil is afraid of you. Because Christ dwells in you. And in the name of Jesus, he will flee. And that'll be a testimony to others. I remember in once meeting one meeting that we had in our church one day. 25:12 While I was preaching I was just about to start the afternoon Bible study in a conference. And I suddenly saw some commotion on the aisle. We had two aisles in that meeting. Everybody looking down and I was wondering what is 25:22 happening. And a man was crawling like a snake up there. And when he came up to the front I saw him. I don't know where he came from. He came up probably sent by the devil to disturb the meeting. I said, "In Jesus' name, lie down 25:38 there." He went to sleep. Immediately. And we I continued the Bible study. After 1 hour the Bible study was over I said, "Amen." He woke up. Then I said, "We can counsel him now." I don't know what what it was demon possessed or what. 25:53 There's authority in the name of Jesus. Many years later a a Hindu person who had been converted to Christ and he was in that meeting who'd been a believer for some time. When he was going through some pressure he wrote to me he said, "Brother Zach 26:08 I sometimes wonder whether all this business of Jesus dying for our sins and I've never seen him never heard him but I believed it. And is it all really true or is it just a story? But I'll never forget that day when I was sitting and I saw that man 26:24 crawling up and you rebuked him in the name of Jesus and he was paralyzed. I know this is real. The name of Jesus is powerful. So sometimes God does that to show us the mighty power there is in the name of Jesus Christ. You know, there's a song 26:38 which says, "Take the name of Jesus with you as a shield from every enemy and every foe. Take the name of Jesus with you." How many people know the authority there is in the name of Jesus? There's so many believers live so scared 26:52 this will happen, that will happen, the other thing will happen. And do you can you imagine Jesus living like that in the world wondering what's going to happen, what's going to happen? No. And the Bible says as he is so are we in this world. 27:09 Do you believe that? That's what it says in 1 John chapter 3. As he is so are we in this world. What a wonderful promise that is. Turn with me there. I'm getting a bit old. 27:38 Is it in 1 John 3 or 1 John 4? 1 John 4 verse What's it? 17 That's it. I'm getting old. I used to get these 27:58 references immediately. Pray for me. Anyway, we got the verse. Thank God for the body of Christ. Praise the Lord. Sometimes God teaches me that you can't do it alone, brother. You need the body. I need the body. Sure. 1 John 3:17, last part. As he is 28:17 right now, as Jesus is right now so are we in this world. Do you believe that? Say amen. What is that? As Jesus is, so am I in this world. So are you in this world. 28:36 How is Jesus today? All authority in heaven and earth is given to him. He's not afraid of any demon. He's not afraid of any calamity. He's not afraid whether the gas prices go up or the value of the dollar goes down or any rubbish. 28:51 He's not afraid of any of those things. As he is, so are we in this world. Take that promise with you and go and live in this world without fear. You have a father in heaven who cares for you. He cares for the birds, as I said the 29:08 other day. One bird telling the other bird, "I wonder why these human beings are so worried all the time." And the other bird says, "Perhaps they don't have a heavenly father like we have." Is he's a Is one bird saying that to 29:22 another bird about you? Perhaps he doesn't have a heavenly father like we have. Jesus said, "Look at the birds of the air. They have heavenly father feeds them. As Jesus is, so are we in this world." Cuz Satan has been defeated. His 29:34 head has been crushed. Okay, I told you three things. What is the fourth thing that happened on the cross? Galatians in chapter 3. Galatians chapter 3. I don't know how many of you know this. 29:57 One of the worst words that people can use when they get angry with this somebody is, "I curse you." Curse is a terrible word. In all heathen religions, they tell people how to put a curse on others. Come here and give him this food or give him this 30:14 drink. Or tie this round his hand, there'll be a curse on him. Religion is full of people who try to put curses on others. Okay. There was a curse in the law. In the Old Testament law, there was a curse. If you did not obey God's law, 30:34 you're cursed. And all of us have disobeyed God's law. Every human being. But it says in Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed mean purchased us out of the slave market. By 30:54 of the curse of the law. Redeemed us from the curse of the law. How? What is the price he paid? Listen to this my brothers and sister. It's something that makes me weep sometimes when I think of it. He became 31:10 a curse. Not he was cursed. He became a curse when he hung on the cross because it says in the scripture, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. That's why Jesus could not be killed by somebody stabbing him or somebody 31:27 cutting off his neck. No, he had to be he had to hung on a he had to be hung on a tree because it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree and he had to become a curse. Not take the curse. He became a curse. It says there, 31:45 Christ became a curse for us. To be cursed is one thing. To become a curse. Did you know that Jesus Christ became a curse for us on the cross? So much of the gospel has not been preached fully. And I never understood all these things 32:03 till the Lord baptized me in the Holy Spirit and opened my eyes to read the scriptures that I'd read for so many years and suddenly my eyes were open. I had read that verse for 16 years before I understood it. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes. 32:17 You can read the scriptures and know it in your head and it doesn't change your life. Revelation is when a scripture changes your life. Christ became a curse for us. Christ shed his blood on us blood for us. Therefore, our sins are forgiven. 32:36 We were crucified with Christ, therefore sin shall not rule over us. The devil was defeated by Jesus on the cross, therefore I have authority over the devil. Christ became a curse for us. What do I get? So that verse 14 32:56 the blessing of Abraham might come to us through the promise of the Holy Spirit. So because Christ became a curse, the opposite of curse is blessing. The opposite of death is life. Christ died so that I might have life. 33:13 And Christ destroyed the power of the devil so I can have power over Satan. Christ became a curse, the opposite of curse is a blessing, so that the blessing of Abraham might come to us through the Holy Spirit. So then I read, "What is the blessing of 33:28 Abraham which has come to me through the Holy Spirit?" In other words, the baptism and the immersion of the Holy Spirit is [clears throat] the full immersion of the Holy Spirit, filling me with the Holy Spirit's power, is to make the blessing of Abraham come 33:41 to me. So I want to find out what the blessing of Abraham is. You know, I want to encourage you, my dear brothers and sis- dear brothers and sisters sitting down below. Please >> [clears throat] >> when you read anything in the New 33:57 Testament about the Old Testament a quotation from the Old Testament, like cursed is everyone hangs on a tree, that's an Old Testament quotation. Or the blessing of Abraham, you got to go to the Old Testament. The Old Testament mostly about the 34:12 history of the Jews, but there are certain quotations here. If you go back, you'll find what it is. So whenever you come to a quotation in the Old Testament, don't be lazy in your Bible study. Stop. It doesn't matter if 34:25 you read only one verse in a day, you get something from it. So I go back to the blessing of Abraham and And is in Genesis chapter 12. Genesis chapter 12, we read about the blessing of Abraham, which has come to me through the Holy Spirit. 34:41 And I read there in Galatians 3:14 that the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to give me the blessing of Abraham. I never knew that. Power, you shall receive power through the Holy Spirit. Power for what? Many people talk about power. 34:55 The blessing of Abraham. Okay. So, here's the blessing of Abraham. Genesis 12. The Lord said to Abraham, in two sentences. This is Genesis 12:1. And then verse two, the middle of verse 35:12 two. I will bless you. And the last part of it, you shall be a blessing. And the last part of verse three, all the families of the earth will be blessed through you. That is the blessing of Abraham. 35:30 So, the Holy Spirit has come to me because Christ became a curse for me. And I get the opposite of a curse, which is a blessing. And the blessing is that first of all, God will bless me. He'll bless me. He'll prosper the work 35:43 of my hands. He'll bless everything I do. He'll bless me with health and strength to serve him. He'll bless my mind with intelligence and understanding to know his word. He'll bless me with the ability to speak his word if that's my calling. 35:58 And he will bless my family, my wife and my children. And he will make me a blessing to every family I come across. Wow. I say, "Lord, this is amazing." 36:16 Some family comes in touch with Zac Poonen and his family and they get blessed. It's got nothing to do with me. Absolutely nothing to do with me. It's because my savior became a curse on the cross. And because of that I received the Holy 36:31 Spirit. And they are blessed. What am I going to do with it? Something flowed through me. I was just a channel. You know the pipe from which the water comes into your tap. What's so great about that pipe? It's the water that's coming through the 36:49 tap. You and I are only a pipe, brethren. Make sure the pipe is not blocked with sin, with wrong attitudes. Why did the devil make you have wrong attitudes to people? He wants to block the pipe. >> [snorts] >> Why does the devil make you not forgive 37:06 somebody? Block the pipe. You could have been a blessing for the last 20 years, but the devil blocked the pipe, blocked the pipe. Wasted your life. And the Lord's brought you here this weekend to get rid of all that blockage in your 37:21 pipe so that the blessing of Abraham will come through you. However weak you are, however old you are, I don't think anyone here is older than me. I'm 86. I don't think anybody is older than me. And if the Lord can make me a blessing, 37:35 he can make you a blessing. Believe it from today. Jesus became a curse for me so that I can be a blessing to other people. You say that to the devil. And keep saying it till he goes away from you. Do you know that Have you ever given 37:52 your testimony to the devil? We talk about giving testimony in the meeting. But do you know the Bible says we got to give our testimony to Satan. How many times have you given your testimony to Satan? Read Revelation chapter 38:05 Turn with me to the book of Revelation. Revelation chapter 12. And it's talking about the devil who's called in verse 10 the accuser of the 38:24 brothers. Revelation 12:10 the accuser of the brothers has been thrown down. Who keeps on accusing us before God day and night. The last part of verse 10 Revelation 12 verse 10. And we overcame Satan. And these people overcame Satan 38:40 how? By the blood of the lamb. And by the testimony that they gave to Satan concerning what Jesus did on the cross. Have you ever given your testimony to Satan? We emphasize giving testimony in the church. But here it says they overcame 39:00 Satan by the word of their testimony to him. This is not talking about testimony in the church. I've given my testimony to the devil many times. I overcome him by the word of my testimony. What is my testimony? Satan, you were 39:15 defeated on the cross. You have absolutely no right to touch me or my family. Get out in Jesus' name. And every single time I've said that to any demon-possessed person, I've never had to repeat it a second time. The demon goes, "It's got nothing to do 39:32 with me." Why doesn't it work with you? You don't believe it. That's all. I believe it. That's the only difference. That guy his sins were taken by Christ on the cross, but he's still suffering in his sins. Why are my sins gone away? Because 39:47 I believed it. He took my sins. It's gone. That guy still is living in his sins because he doesn't believe that Jesus took his sins. The other guy doesn't believe that his old man was crucified with Christ. So, he's still defeated by sin. I believe 39:59 that my old man was crucified. It's got nothing to do with me. It's got to do with Jesus. I believe there's no curse on me because I believe that Christ became a curse for me. Brothers, sisters, you and I are in exactly the same boat. 40:15 And if I do a little more, it's because I believe a little more than you do. I believe the Bible literally. And you have a great struggle to believe that your old man was crucified with him, even though it's written there. 40:28 Let God be true and every man a liar. If there's one book in the world you can trust, it is this book. You believe in the newspapers that there's a war going on in Iran. Really? And you don't believe the Bible which says that 40:42 there was a war in which Satan was defeated on the cross? Which is more reliable? CNN or the Bible? Your old man was crucified with Christ. The curse was taken by Jesus on the 41:01 cross. The devil was defeated on the cross. All your sins are cleansed. You're declared righteous. Dear brothers and sisters, please go away from this weekend as a completely different person 41:20 from the way you came. Determine that. Go to Jesus. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. And he loves all of you just as much as he loves me or anybody else. There's no special favorite of God. I'm not any special favorite of God. 41:38 If there are some special favorites, it's those who say, "Lord, I believe everything you said." That's a special favorite of God. Jesus delights in someone who says, "Lord, I believe everything you said." Can you go to God and say everything is 41:50 written in the Bible, I believe it? That's all God's asking you to do. To open our hearts. Say, "Lord, I believe. I receive." The Christian life is one of receiving. When it says by grace are you saved, 42:08 saved from sins, saved from your old man, saved from fear of the devil, saved from the curse. Saved means God's by grace you're saved means God grace is God stretching out his hand towards you. 42:28 And [snorts] I believe God is stretching out his hand right now to all of you, my dear brothers and sisters. Please believe it. And faith is you're reaching out your hand and saying, "Thank you, Lord." He's opened his arm and offered all the 42:46 blessings he has today. And he's asking you to just take. God always gives. Man always sells. And the devil always steals. Man's job is always selling to make 43:05 money. The devil's job is always stealing from people whatever God and God's job is always to give freely. Why do people go to the devil? Come to Jesus. He's giving everything we buy grace. His hand is stretched out to every one of you today. Faith means you 43:20 reach out your hand and say, "Thank you, Lord, for forgiving my sin. Thank you, Lord, that my old man was crucified with you. Thank you that you became a curse for me. Thank you that you defeated the devil for me. I claim all these promises. 43:35 I've been cheated and deprived of these things for so many years, but you've opened my eyes to see my inheritance today. And I'm not going to lose one bit of my inheritance. Just purchased for me by your precious blood on Calvary's cross. 43:50 And you've given me the Holy Spirit to teach me this and you've given me your word to assure me. Today I'm going to believe. I'm going to put my feet on these promises and I believe they'll be fulfilled in my life. Will you say amen to that? 44:05 Really? Say it loud enough. The and let the devil hear it every day. Jesus is my savior. He's the one who paid the price for me. Why should I get only 1/4 of that inheritance? 1/4 of that inheritance is the forgiveness of your sins. You're happy 44:23 with that? Your trillionaire father in heaven has written a will in your name. All of these blessings are yours. Turn with me to Ephesians. In Ephesians 44:57 chapter 1. Can you believe this verse? Blessed verse 3. Ephesians 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every, that's the most important word there. 45:14 E v e r y, every blessing of the Holy Spirit in the heavenly places in Christ. It's not earthly blessings of health and wealth and money and big houses and lands and cars. No, no, no, no. That is all Old Testament. 45:31 I'm in the new covenant. He has blessed me with every spiritual blessing. In the heavenly places because I've been risen with Christ in the heavenlies even though my body is here on earth and my spirit, I've been raised up with Christ in the 45:48 heavenlies in Christ. Every single blessing of the Holy Spirit, so every spiritual blessing means every blessing of the Holy Spirit he has blessed me with exactly because he chose us verse 4, in Christ before the foundation of the 46:05 world. He knew us in My name was in God's mind years before the way he created the world. He created the world long after he knew Zac Poonen. And he created the world long after he knew you. Put your name there. He chose us in Christ before the 46:23 foundation of the world. Very often I tell people, some Christians who are defeated, I said, "Do you know, the brother, the only difference between you and me is I believe what's written here, you don't believe it." That's the only difference. 46:36 And so I get these blessings and you don't get it. Why can't you enter in and believe? Say, "Lord, from today onwards I want to want to believe like brother Zac." And I want to experience the same thing he is experiencing in his life. 46:50 I'm not telling you lies. He has blessed us with every, e v e r y, e v e r y, every blessings of the Holy Spirit in Christ. He has blessed us because he chose us in Christ 47:09 before the worlds were created. Today, you have heard the full gospel. And the Holy Spirit has come to fulfill it in your life. Don't say I'm weak. I don't have faith. Don't say all that. If you believe all that you heard today, 47:25 you have faith. Don't go around with the devil telling you you don't have faith, you need to have this, you need to have that. You need to have nothing. Believe God's word and you'll experience every promise of the Holy Spirit. 47:36 The baptism, fullness of the Holy Spirit, and rivers of living water flowing out to you. Your life is going to be different from now on, my brother. Sister, every one of you are listening to me. Do you believe your life will be 47:48 different from today? Amen. Let's pray. >> Heavenly Father, what a wonderful salvation you have purchased for us on Christ. 48:06 How little we have known about it. How our eyes have been blinded to so many years through truths that were written in your word which the devil blinded our eyes to. Thank you, Lord, our eyes have been opened. The eyes of you many have been 48:19 opened here today. And life will never be the same for them again for any of us. Thanks be to God who always leads us in his triumph in Christ. Always. Thanks be to God who always leads us in 48:38 his triumph in Christ. Who shall separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus? Nothing. No power in heaven or in hell can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus for us. Thank you, Father. We confess these 48:54 wonderful promises because now it is not just a word in the Bible, it has become real in our lives. Thank you, Heavenly Father. I pray that every family represented here by one member perhaps, maybe the head of the home is here. I pray the blessing 49:10 will come upon their family wherever their family is right now in different parts of the world where they have come from. Bless them wherever they are. Even though they only it's a head of the family is here, let the blessing come to 49:22 the family. We pray, Lord, that you'll send forth these dear brothers who have taken the trouble to come here with far more than they expected to get. We pray the heavens will be open over them as they go back to their homes and go 49:37 back to their homes as different people from the ones they came that came here. Do it, Lord. Do it, Lord. And let the blessing spread from them to others in their locality that will form little churches of two or three, little churches of two or three 49:53 gathered by the Holy Spirit to be set free from the power of sin and Satan. Lord Jesus, you're here right now. We're talking to you. He said, "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst." We want to be conscious of your 50:10 presence here before we go. Lord Jesus, risen Lord, let your glory come upon us. Risen Lord Jesus, we love you. Thank you, Lord Jesus. We see here we see your nail-pierced hands. 50:28 We see your wounded side pierced for us. Thank you, Lord, for dying for us. Thank you for being a curse for us. Thank you for defeating Satan. Thank you, Lord, for taking our old man with you and putting it to death. 50:47 Thank you for shedding your blood. We thank you with the depth of our hearts. We wish we could be here on and on and on. We love you so much, Lord. Thank you for loving us. Help us to love one another with the love with which you loved us. 51:05 Free everyone here from the hang-ups and fears and doubts and snares the devil's put upon them. We break every snare and fetter in the name of Jesus. We command you, Satan, take your hands off >> [snorts] >> everyone here 51:20 whom you have put your hands on. We break the fetters of Satan on every single person who's bound here in Jesus' name. Be free in Jesus' name. Thank you, Father, for hearing us. In Jesus' name, we offer our thanks. Amen.
