0:00 [Music] I often think when we gather on Sunday mornings how easy it is for this to become routine across the world almost in every country perhaps in every 0:18 city. There are people who gather on Sunday mornings in some form of religious gathering. And uh for many of us, we've probably done it for years, perhaps from the time you were a little boy. And it's so easy for this just to become routine. You put 0:34 on nice clothes, you put on a nice face, and you stand here together with others. But in the presence of God, nothing is old. Even though he is the ancient of days and has been from before time, every day is fresh with him. He is 0:51 eternal. Life in God, the life of God is always new. He's always fresh. He's always alive in a way that we don't really fully understand life. But he's promised us that same life through the Holy Spirit. And so, dear friends, dear brothers, sisters, 1:08 and even the children, before we sing, before we even go into this meeting, pause for a moment and ask him to fill you with his life aresh this morning. The outpouring of his Holy Spirit will change the way you sing, will change the 1:22 way you live your life, that will change the way you pray. change the way you even listen. He calls you aresh. He calls us aresh to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. Give him your eyes this morning. Give him your ears. Give him 1:35 your tongue. Let him fill it. Give him your mind, how you think. Give him your heart, your emotions, your feelings, whatever's been going through your life this past week or even this morning. Give it to him. lay it on the altar and 1:51 let the fire of heaven fall upon it and it will change the way we sing. It'll change our meeting. May this meeting be the best you've had yet. Not because of anything that will happen here, but because of the change he will do in your 2:04 heart. And according to your faith, it shall be so. Our God is alive. He reigns. It says in 1 John 5 that Christ came to this earth to destroy the works 5:52 of the evil one to undo all the bad things that the devil did that we did through his influence and through the temptation of our own lusts. This is why Christ came. Dear brother, dear sister, dear friend, dear child, if there's a mess in your life 6:09 today, if things are knotted up, Jesus has come to undo that knotted ball of yarn, to undo all the works of Satan, all the works of sin, all the works of your flesh. He's come to undo it and to set it right. He's done that for so many in the 6:28 past. He's done that for many of us. He can do that for you. There's no situation that's beyond hope. And if you're praying for somebody who's in a mess today, whose life is a mess today, believe that Christ has come for this 6:42 purpose to destroy all the works of the evil one. We'd like to sing this chorus that proclaims the glory and the majesty and the power of Christ. In the chorus, we're going to sing, if you'll go to the words of the chorus there, Vienna. There'll be no more opportunities for sanctification, no more opportunities for repentance, no more opportunities to deny ourselves and take up our cross. We will be with him for all for all eternity. And the dress we are wearing 11:34 when he comes is the dress we will wear for all eternity. The dress that the bride of Christ wears is without spot or wrinkle or blemish. Examine your heart, dear friend, this morning, for any blemish, any attachment to the things of this earth, any 11:53 wrinkle, even a little wrinkle. The bride of Christ's dress has no spot or blemish or wrinkle. Wake up. If you're sleeping, wake up. We may not have this day again. Awake, oh blessed bride of Christ. Like we sang, 16:20 the mark of the bride is our delight is in Jesus. Not in anything on this earth, not even in friends, not even in having a nice church family, but in Jesus. And it's our delight in Jesus that unites us in a way that no power 16:34 can ever separate. We'll never grow tired of each other. Our love for each other will never grow cold. Because our delight is in Jesus, not in each other, even not in our experience, not in what it feels like on a Sunday morning or 16:47 when we meet, but because our delight is in Jesus. And Jesus is eternally delight delightful. It's sweeter than honey in the honeycomb. His love is everlasting. And if your delight is in Jesus, for if it's not even, come and give yourself to him. 17:04 Give your heart to him aresh and say, "Lord, it's as I look back on this week, I see why there's been anxiety or fear or unbelief or discouragement, self- condemnation or even failure, falling into sin. It's because I've lost my 17:19 delight in you. Lord, I'm coming back to you this morning. And I want to worship you. I want it to be said of me, Lord, that there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you and nothing in heaven that I desire besides you. You are 17:31 heaven to me. You are everything to me. If that hasn't been the case so far, dear friend, give yourself to him. Ask him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit makes Jesus glorious. This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. 17:44 He makes us delight in Jesus. And that's why we seek to be filled. So, open your heart to him. Open your mouth wide and he will fill it. He said, "And he will fill you with the Holy Spirit, a spirit that delights in Jesus, that delights in 17:58 the fear of the Lord, that delights in wisdom and revelation." Father, we ask you and we come to you, Lord, as your children sitting at your table and asking for you to give us bread. Not bread that any man can give us. Not wine 18:11 that any man can give us, Lord. But the bread of heaven and the wine of heaven, the wine of the new covenant, the the wine the bread of your body that's broken for us and the wine of your blood, the new covenant, Lord, that's 18:22 given to us. This agreement that you started with us, Lord, we didn't come up with it. It was your idea. You started it. You promised it. And we're just saying yes to what you've already we saying amen to what you've already said 18:34 would be so. We agree with it. and we we give ourselves to you that that experience of new covenant life may be ours in full measure. Lord, do that we pray, Lord. And all of the new covenant, our relationship with you is the head 18:47 and our relationship with others within the body that you've placed us in. Make it ex uh make it something that grows, Lord, through your Holy Spirit. So, thank you that you're committed to doing that. That's why we're here. not to feel 18:58 good about ourselves, not to tick some check box, Lord, that we went to a church meeting on Sunday morning, but we want a deeper experience with you, a reality of coming in touch with the living God who's alive and who's all 19:11 powerful, who's never changing, whose love for us began before even the foundations of the world when you wrote a plan for our lives. And that plan hasn't changed, Lord, that you will finish the work of conforming every 19:23 single one of us into the image of Jesus. That's what you said, Lord, and that's what we're agreeing with. So, Lord, draw us closer to you. Knit our hearts more closely with yours, Father, and knit our hearts more closely with 19:34 each other. May we be rooted and grounded in love. Thank you. We commit those, Lord, who are in a battle, in a spiritual battle, any who in whom the devil has a foothold, some bad habit or addiction or other forms of sin, a sin 19:46 that's besetting them or hampering them, entangling them, Lord, with the things of this earth. In the name of Jesus, will you set them free? You gave the church the keys of the kingdom to loose on earth and it would be loosed in the 19:57 heavenlies where the devil and his host have authority. You said that we could bind on this earth and it would be bound in the heavenlies where the devil exists Lord where he's seeking to bind more people in bondage. Lord we pray that you 20:09 will loose them in the name of Jesus and set them free. Thank you Lord. You came to set them free and when you set them free they are truly free. We don't have to go back to a life of bondage anymore because you've set us free from sin and 20:21 all the things of this earth. So thank you Lord for that promise. Do that we pray. We lift up even those we know maybe those that are not here right now who are bound in some sin some love of this world or love of themselves bound 20:31 in pride in some way. Lord their eyes are blinded. Oh Lord I pray that you'll remove the scales off their eyes and loose them and set them free. Help them to see the reality and the shortness of time that we have left here on this 20:43 earth. We can't afford to waste a single day Lord. So help us to redeem the time to be ready for your coming to wake up. Lord, I pray that you'll give us a burden for those around us who are sleeping, those whom you placed within 20:54 our circle of responsibility, who may be asleep. Help us, Lord, give us boldness and a prophetic word to wake them up through a text message or a phone call or some other thing we say, Lord, while your Holy Spirit, may we use, may you 21:07 use us, Lord, to wake up those around us who may be asleep that we'll draw as many as we can into your kingdom before the time is ended. Thank you, Father. You'll do that. Make us set us on fire, Lord, for you. Set our lips on fire. 21:18 Give us boldness that we haven't experienced yet to be bold witnesses for you by our life and by our words that everybody around us, those in the communities in which we live, those around this building where you've placed 21:29 us here, Lord, will know that we are a people part of a different kingdom. We're not after the kingdom of this world, not even a little bit, but everything that we do here on this earth is for your kingdom and your kingdom 21:39 alone that you might get the glory. We pray, thank you, Lord, that you are also care about every earthly need. You said if we seek your kingdom first, you will provide all that we need. We say, Lord, that we want to seek your kingdom first 21:51 in every area. If we're ever not seeking your kingdom first, open our eyes to see it. Remind us of it through your Holy Spirit. And may we always seek your kingdom first. And thank you that you will meet all our needs. We commit our 22:03 earthly needs to you. Those who are sick and aren't here this morning or deal with constant pain or sickness in their body. Oh Lord, I pray you will touch them and heal them. You are a healing God. There is power in your hands, Lord 22:14 Jesus. You took our sicknesses on the cross along with our sins, Lord. And so, Lord, by the power, by the fact that you have borne all our sicknesses like we sang, Lord, will you heal according to your will. If it is your will, heal them 22:25 completely, Lord. Those that we know who are sick, thank you. You will do that and heal them. Also pray for our job situations in this world of uncertainty. We know that in the world we will face tribulation and uncertainty. Nothing is 22:38 certain in this world because it's passing away. But in the midst of this uncertainty in this world around us, Lord, will you take care of our needs and keep us as a people who are trusting and resting in you to provide for us, 22:50 Lord. And so provide for our job situations. We recognize that our our hope is not in our employers or what's in our bank account or what we think we will do tomorrow. Lord, our hope is in you and you alone. And so you provide 23:02 for those who are in need. You provide for us today. You provide for us tomorrow and the rest of this week and the rest of this month. May we be a people that's constantly leaning on you. Whether we know we have a job to go to 23:13 tomorrow or not, we're leaning on you, Lord. And thank you that all is rest when that is the case. Thank you, Father. Knit our hearts together by this purpose, Lord, to be united in you. Knit our hearts in deeper unity. Knit our 23:24 marriages. I pray for every marriage in this in this listening to this prayer. Knit us as husbands and wives into deeper unity. Parents and children, knit our hearts together in deeper love. Lord, I pray pray that every one of our 23:36 children as we pray every time, Lord, that not a single one of these children will be lost, but every one of them will be a part of your kingdom and be disciples of yours, taught of you, and be useful vessels in your house, Lord. 23:49 Thank you that that is your purpose, and we're praying according to your will for each of these children because your angels are watching over them, beholding your face. So, Lord, I pray that none of us will ever do anything that will 23:59 stumble. that they will see in us adults as well people who are committed to your kingdom not loving this world Lord so that they will have an example to follow. Bless them Lord and during this time of summer break for many of them 24:10 from school will help them to use their time wisely. I pray that all of them will develop the habit of reading your word diligently. Lord, spending time in reading your word and in prayer, being kind to each other, protect them in 24:22 health and strength. Lord, thank you. And in our hearts together as families in this church, Lord, we believe that it's you who has called us into this body to experience unity. You said that we would be one as you and the father 24:33 are one, Lord Jesus. And we're saying amen to that prayer that you will make us one. you will knit our hearts together and we will experience a unity that's not of this earth. A unity through the Holy Spirit. Thank you. Thank you, Lord, that the church 24:48 that you're building, the gates of hell, will never prevail against. So take us to the gates of hell today. Take us to the gates of hell this week, Lord, that we'll take down those gates knowing because you are our captain. Because all 25:00 authority has been given to you in heaven and on earth, we can go and make disciples and tear down the gates of hell. We have a responsibility, church family, as the church of Jesus Christ, to rise up to not wallow in laziness and 25:17 self-centeredness and thinking only of ourselves with our heads down to the things of this earth. Arise, church. Wake up. Stand up. Take up the battle for your own life, for your marriage, for your homes, for your children, for this church. Take up the 25:33 battle. Oh church, arise and put your armor on. Hear the call of Christ our captain. For now the 25:49 weak can say that they are strong in the strength that God has given. With shield of faith and belt of truth, we'll stand against the devil's 26:08 eyes. And our evil whose battle cry is love. Reaching out to those in darkness. [Music] called to war to love the captive soul 26:27 or to rage against the capt. And with the sword that makes the wounded we will fight with faith and battle. 26:42 and faced with trials on every side. We know the outcome is secure and Christ will have the price for which he died and inheritance and salvation. Come see the cross where love 27:08 and mercy meet as the son of God is stricken. and see his voice. I crushed beneath his feet. For a conqueror has [Music] 27:31 rises from the grave, the st continues till the day. Every eye in heart shall see him. And as the stor is 27:47 all away and Christ emerges from the grave victory continue till the day. Every eye and heart shall see him. So spirit 28:06 come strengthen every strike. Give praise for [Music] everyone that we may run with faith to win the prize of a servant and 28:22 faithful and silly the way we telling triumphs of his praise. We hear their call and hunger for the day. And with Christ we stand in 28:41 glory. As sinners of old still light the way retelling triumphs of his grace.
