I seek thy praise with all my heart, to be with you just as thou art. 9:27 If all my life revolts around me, and thoughts of my own family. If I am living selfishly, Lord, give me light that I might see. 9:51 Lord, help me judge myself each day, to walk this new and living way. I seek thy grace with all my heart, to be made purest as thou art. 10:15 Sing verse 5. If someone's failure has not wrong, concern and care within my heart. Help me judge others inwardly, Lord, give me light that I might see. 10:40 Lord, help me judge myself each day, to walk this new and living way. Believing your Son, believe in your Spirit till the work on earth is done. 14:29 Last song, He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. 14:54 He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess. 15:26 He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. 15:50 He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead. 16:21 He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead. You may be seated. 16:51 When we look around at the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead and He is risen from the dead. 17:06 You see that in the Bible. In the time of Joshua, it was a great revival. And by the time Joshua died, you go to the book of Judges, there's a verse in the book of Judges which says, "Every man did what was right in his own eyes." 17:27 And that's what happened in the New Testament too. The book of Acts is like the book of Joshua, a great revival in the beginning. It was so powerful that if one man just pretended to be spiritual, pretended to be spiritual, Ananias. 17:47 He died on the spot. It was dangerous to be in such a church. See, Ananias never committed any crime. He sold his land for something and then brought only 50% there. Don't you think he's a wholehearted person? How many people sell their land and give 50% to God? 18:07 But he pretended that it was everything and he died on the spot. His wife died on the spot. That is Acts chapter 5, tremendous revival. Peter would walk down the street and they would expect his shadow to heal people. That was like the book of Joshua. 18:23 The sun would stand still and they would conquer. That's how Christianity started, the Israelites started. But decline came in very quickly. That was Acts chapter 5, Ananias and Sapphira. You go to Acts chapter 6 and grumbling has started. 18:41 Why are the Jewish widows getting more food or better food than the Greek widows? See how quickly decline started. It happened in the ministry of Paul, Acts chapter 20. He stayed three years in Ephesus. It was the most powerful church at that time. 18:59 The word went around everywhere else. But then Paul said, now that I'm gone, you elders, he told the elders, you people will not be able to keep this church pure. They were with Paul for three years. 19:20 They never got his spirit. And sure enough, the church in Ephesus backslid. And throughout history, it's always been like that. And so, somebody once asked me, Brother Zach, if that's happened to all the movements, what will happen to us? 19:38 Every movement said, every movement said, it will not happen to us. But it happened. What are we going to say? I'm not here to judge. But one of the things that every movement should do is to train other people to carry on the ministry. 20:08 And that's what we've sought to do through the years. And those who are in the front should gradually pull back. And, you know, the early conferences here, if you came to the conferences 15, 20 years ago, it was just me speaking at every session. 20:27 Last year in the conference, we had 12 speakers. We're gradually pulling back. And this time, also, we don't have so many sessions this time. But our desire is in every place that those who, if you've really sought, if you've really been a good leader, 20:45 you'll be able to produce a few Timothys. Paul could produce only one or two. Timothy, Titus, I don't know how many there were, but not many. He said, all the others are seeking their own. We're not better than Paul. We also have a number of elders in churches, and quite likely, many of them seek their own. 21:05 I don't know. Because I don't go examining all those churches. But we thank God for some who I have great confidence in. And we're going to listen to one of them right now. His name is Victor. And, see, all these guys are 20, 25 years younger than me. 21:25 So it's another generation. And we praise God that a grip, it's not a question of how well a person preaches. That's not what I look for. Have they been gripped by the spirit of Jesus Christ, seeking to follow in his footsteps? 21:43 They will all preach different from me, and I wish they do. So you're going to listen to him. He's an elder overseeing a church in a small village in Tamil Nadu. And like many of our elders, they don't speak English. That makes no difference. 22:04 Paul didn't speak English. It's okay. And so that he'll be translated. And we pray that God will raise up a number of brothers in the years to come to carry on the ministry of CFC in different places. Brother Victor. 22:28 Brother Michael is an elder in Tamil Nadu. He will translate. He will translate. And we pray that God will have a number of brothers in the years to come to the people of CFC in different places. 23:04 And we pray that God will have a number of brothers in the years to come to the people of CFC in different places. And we pray that God will come to the people of CFC in different places. And we pray that God will have a number of brothers in the years to come to the people of CFC in different places. 23:11 I want to share the burden that is in my heart. 23:41 Malachai, the book of Malachai, chapter 1. In the last book of the Old Testament, we see the mind that was there in the Israelites. 24:08 We read in the second verse like this. Please. I have loved you, says the Lord. But you say, how have you loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother, declares the Lord. Yet I have loved Jacob. But I have hated Esau. And I have made his mountains a desolation. 24:25 We read in the first verse like this. We read here a question which the Israelites were asking God. These are the people who doubted the love of God. From the book of Genesis, the main work of the enemy is this. 24:58 In the beginning in the Garden of Eden for the fathers, the first father and mother, this was the doubt the enemy gave. The enemy showed that God does not love you. If God had loved you, he would not have kept this fruit away from you. 25:22 God does not love you. This is the story which began in the beginning in the book of Genesis. We read about it in the book of Malachi. How did the Lord love us? The Lord is telling you, I loved you. 25:47 You ask, how did the Lord love us? And the Lord is giving an explanation for that. Esau was your brother, right? He was your elder brother, right? I hated him, but I loved you. 26:09 This is the question they had from the days of Joshua. The question which was, you know, boiling within them. How did the Lord love us? He says that he hated Esau. 26:34 We read in the book of Joshua, chapter 24. Joshua, chapter 24, verse 4. Joshua, chapter 24. We read in verse 4 like this. 26:55 Joshua, chapter 24, verse 4. Joshua, chapter 24, verse 4. 27:20 Joshua 24, verse 4. It says, To Isaac, I gave Jacob and Esau. And to Esau, I gave Boundside to possess it. But Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt. We read here a thing like this. Isau, Isaac had two sons. Isaac had, Isaac had two sons. 27:43 Jacob and Esau. To Esau, what did God give? For a carnal person, what did God give? A good mountain seer, that region. A good mountain seer, that region. That is what I'm saying. For the person whom God hated, Esau, he gave a good mountain region. 28:12 For the person whom he loved, Jacob, do you know what he gave? For 430 years, he sent the descendants of Jacob to Egypt. Now, the people of Israel are asking. 28:36 They are asking Malachi and they are asking God. How did the Lord love us? You keep on telling God loved you, God loved you, God loved you. You know where you sent us? To Egypt. You sent us to Egypt. 28:58 You kept us as slaves. We were like, you know, foreigners. We were people who were, you know, travelers. You kept, you keep telling that the Lord loved us. This is how it appeared in their eyes. They could not, you know, understand the love of God. 29:23 Beloved, the ways of the Lord are all good. God's ways are perfect. The Lord's ways are perfect. For the person whom he loved, he gave, he sent them to Egypt to a land of slavery. For the people who are of the, who are carnal, he is giving them the good things of the world. 29:44 We read in Psalm 17, we read in Psalm 17 like this. The Lord's ways are wonderful. They cannot be, you know, understood. 17, verse 14. 17, verse 14. For men with your hand, O Lord, from the men of the world whose portion is this life, and whose belly you fill with your treasure, they are satisfied with children and leave their abundance with their babes. 30:15 Okay, as for me, as for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness, I will be satisfied with your likeness when I awake. Here, here, the writer of Psalms is saying this, the inheritance, or the portion the Lord has kept for the people of the world. 30:34 The portion for the people of the world, He has filled this belly with the treasures of the present world. Beyond that, they have nothing. 30:57 For the person, Esau, the person of flesh, the carnal person, there is this monster, and beyond that, there is nothing. For the people of the world, the treasures of this world, in their belly, that's all. But for the godly people, the Lord has kept some other treasure. 31:17 The divine nature, partaking of the divine nature, the Lord has kept for the righteous people. That is, the Lord has kept it for the godly people. For the people of the world, the treasures of this world. Good education, in the belly, which is needed for this belly, 31:42 the employment needed for this belly, In the belly, the marriage which is needed for this belly, And the good children for that, Houses, The houses for that, The wealth, All those things for this belly. But for the godly people, 32:03 For the godly people, many times these things may get delayed, Or they may not even get it. But the Lord has kept a different thing for them. He has kept his divine nature for them. And that also, he has kept it through the tribulations. 32:25 All those things with suffering and loss, He has to send them to Egypt. And he has to give them a lot of trials. And through all these struggles, The Lord is making them conformed to the divine nature. But these godly people, 32:47 Do you know whom they look at? When they look at those worldly people, Then they immediately get discouraged. Or they become jealous. Like how Asaph became jealous, They also become jealous. They become discouraged. 33:09 They are praying and they are not getting an answer. All those things are for the present world. In all those situations, Do you know what Satan is saying? Is God loving you? See this worldly person. Look at this unconverted person. 33:32 You look at your relatives. Do you know what your age is now? You know what is the age of your daughter now? It is cost thirty or thirty-five. You have not got a job. You have not got a good education. You have got married but you don't have children. 33:54 See the world. They are also there in any of the denominational churches. They also have a religion. Did your God love you? Like this many things which Satan shows. Where is your God? Where is your God? 34:14 Where is your God? He keeps on asking where is your God? What will we say? Beloved. We have to endure in the love of God. We have to call Satan many times. Do you have this question that is God loving me? 34:38 Will you come to Calvary? Will you come to Calvary? Come. Will you come to Calvary? We will go to Calvary. Can I show you the love of my God? In many situations, we have to tell this to Satan. 34:58 We have not come to that place yet. When Satan brings these doubts. But when we look at many things in the world. But when people of the world enjoy some blessings and we don't get it, we get discouraged. 35:22 We become people who are doubting the love of God. For example. For example. Sometimes, you know, some children get married. The people of the world have many demands. People of the world, the worldly people, they have demands. 35:42 But it's very unfortunate that the same demands have come into the children of God. I don't know how people learnt these things. They must have learnt it from the worldly people. 36:03 The demand number one is that the moment you get married, within a year or two, a child must be born. Two years. If it crosses two years, then immediately there is a discouragement, there is a questioning. Demand number one. 36:19 That is demand number one. Demand number two. Demand number two. In two years, a child must be born and that child must be a son. That is demand number two. Demand number three. Demand number three. That is normal delivery. 36:35 It must be a normal delivery. It must be a normal delivery. Demand number three. Demand number three. Demand number four. Demand number four. The second baby must be a girl. In the four demands. Because it's happening all around us in the world. 36:56 They get married correctly. Immediately, within a year or two, they get a child. Normal delivery. Normal delivery. With male child. Male child. What a blessing. Where did they learn all these things? Is there a glory in this? 37:18 Even if they don't get children, it's okay. Even if they don't get children. I will never stumble over the love the Lord has for me. Even if they don't get married. I will not doubt the love of God. 37:38 It is not at all a matter for me. It is a portion for the people of this world. It is the thing which belongs to the belly of the people of the world. They worship the belly God. That is why the belly is filled. So the Lord also fills their bellies. 38:00 But our God is a living God. Whenever we have a temptation to doubt the love of God, we should look at the Calvary love. Beloved, let us not doubt the love of God at any time. This is the problem with the Israelites. 38:22 Until the time of Malachi, the people had this problem. Whatever was spoken of during the days of Joshua, it was there remaining in their heart until the book of Malachi. For generations, we have been pilgrims and wanderers on this earth. 38:47 But these people have settled very comfortably in Mount Seir. Where did the Lord love us? The Lord didn't love us. They spoke in a very despising manner. They spoke without the fear of God. They are the people who doubted the love of God. 39:09 This is, beloved, these things, you know, belongs to the Satan, the enemy. This is not a problem between the worldly and the godly. But even in the church, among us believers also, this is a problem. Even among us, we have the same problem. 39:32 Here also, we have this up and down. We have some people who are of the low profile, some of the high profile. Then also, we begin to doubt the love of God. Beloved, it's not like that. God's ways are always perfect. We will never be able to understand that. 39:52 I read one article of Spurgeon, and I was convicted of this. Thought on money. He said, he wrote about thought on money. He's written something beautiful on that. Mordecai, Esther. There are two godly people. He shows two godly people, Mordecai and Esther. 40:13 They were in the same palace. But one of them was in the same palace, but he was doing the security work in the palace. He's a low profile. Security officer. Queen. Esther was queen. 40:36 She was sitting in the palace as a queen. See the place of one and place of the other. They are both believers. They are both god-fearing people. They are both god-fearing. They are at the same place. One is in the palace and the other sits on the throne. 40:55 See the difference. Do you know, see the beauty among them. Beloved, no time should we become jealous. We should not doubt the love of God. Mordecai. Security is made in the gate of God's purpose. 41:16 The Mordecai, he fulfilled God's purpose sitting in that security gate. He sat there and completed his work. In his responsibility, he was faithful. He was so faithful in protecting the king. And the act. This act which he did of protecting the king spoke for him. 41:39 And the king Ahasuerus took the matter in his own hands. In his days, in his days, in his generation, the Mordecai fulfilled the purpose for his people in his time. Okay. Esther. Esther. And Queen Esther. 42:03 And Queen Esther, she in her role, whatever was the purpose she had to fulfill for her people, she fulfilled that. Both of these people were needed for God. The Lord used both of these people for the protection of the Jews. 42:23 Beloved, it doesn't matter where the Lord has kept us. If the Lord has kept me in a low profile, what does it matter? If he keeps me in a high profile, what does it matter? I have to fulfill God's purpose. 42:45 Have I fulfilled that purpose which the Lord has kept for me? These are, you know, very wonderful ways and these are perfect ways of God. The Lord knows where to keep each one of us. He knows where, which place to keep us. 43:04 Whether it's in village or city. Whether to keep in India or in abroad. Whether it should be in low salary or in higher salary. The Lord knows, these are his plans in the way he determines things. Wherever I am. 43:24 The Lord keeps me. Whether he keeps me in a high position or in the gate. But the Lord has kept me in that place to fulfill his purpose. Beloved, we need those eyes. 43:44 We should never doubt the love of God. The Lord has kept me very well. The Lord has kept me very well. We should never be in a discontent spirit. We should not look at anyone and become jealous. We should be secure in the love of God. 44:05 This is the wonderful, good portion the Lord you have kept me in. Beloved. We should never doubt that love of God. We should never doubt that love of God. In our troubles, sufferings, trials, whatever it is. D.L. Moody has spoken about one thing like this. 44:29 D.L. Moody has spoken about one thing like this. He had spoken about a saint who lived in Scotland. He went to see this saint. He was a person, a brother, who had been beddened for about 40 years. 44:54 Around 15 years of age, he had a fall and he broke his back. And he was, you know, paralyzed and lying in bed. He didn't know that he had to be in bed for 40 years. Like that, 40 years passed away. 45:18 In his 55th year, D.L. Moody meets him. When he saw his face, he saw it bright and very, you know, happy, joyful. There was no murmuring or complaining. So, D.L. Moody asks him. 45:45 So, he asks the saint. Satan would have come to you many times and would have asked you, Does God really love you? If God had really loved you, would he have kept you on bed for 40 years? He must have given you a deliverance many years ago. 46:06 Like this, many situations, Satan comes and whispers the ear. Where is your God? Why does your God have to make you lie down like this? For 40 years you have been like this? Many times when Satan came and spoke like this, 46:24 That brother is telling D.L. Moody. Many times he has come like this. At that time, what will I say? You have a question whether God loves me? Come, shall we go to Calvary? Shall we come? 46:45 Shall we go to Calvary? Immediately Satan will disappear. The enemy disappears. Another situation he comes. Shall we go to Calvary? That's all. Every time like this, whenever I am tempted to doubt God, love of God, 47:09 this Calvary, that one thing is enough. He completed his life in that love and that security all through. Whenever he wants to see the world, when he opens the window, whatever he can see, that is all that he can see. 47:31 Then D.L. Moody writes about his brother like this. Beloved, maybe it's our sufferings. Maybe all the troubles. Many times during our troubles and sufferings, Satan will come and make us doubt the love of God. 47:54 When Paul is telling Timothy, when he writes the second Timothy, He writes that, you know, many people have left me when I was in Asia. Because wherever Paul was going, there was problems. 48:15 Wherever he was going, there were suffering, trials, tribulations. And there was no income through Paul. There was no income, but there was a lot of suffering, trials, tribulations. The whole team was not able to stand with him till the end. 48:37 In Asia, everyone left me. Beloved. We are in the end times like this. We have to remain steadfast in the love of God and complete our course. 2 Timothy chapter 3. 49:01 2 Timothy chapter 3. We read here about how Paul is warning about people who are form of godliness, but they deny its power. We know all the context of these verses. 49:22 We see here that in the end times, there will be people who do not love God, but they love self, love money, love comforts. We read here about the terrible times in the end times. 49:46 Because the lawlessness is increased, the love of many will grow cold. Because they love self, the love of God goes down. Lovers of money, they increase, so the love of God goes cold. 50:08 Because the lovers of pleasure, their lawlessness increases, the love of many will grow cold. Then they start wearing or putting on a form of godliness. These people will not stand until the end. 50:28 They will not be able to end you until the end. Somewhere towards the end, they will take a side track. They take some false religion. They put on the form of godliness. Beloved, we are there in the last days. 50:50 I want to tell one thing here. Numbers, chapter 32. The two and a half tribes, Reuben, Gath, Manasseh and the half tribe of Manasseh, they were not able to withstand until they came into the land of Canaan. 51:23 They are the people who had come from Egypt. They are the people who had crossed the Red Sea. They have crossed the entire wilderness. See, what an interesting thing. Egypt came out from Egypt. They crossed the Red Sea. 51:45 They had crossed the wilderness. This one more thing was left. They have to cross Jordan and go into the land of Canaan. They have to inherit the land which God has promised for them. They came to the east of Jordan and they settled. 52:05 There are two and a half tribes. Reuben. Reuben. Kath Koth Kotharathar. Gad. Manasseh, one of the Padi Kotharathar. And half of Manasseh tribe. Jordan, one of the border. They came to the border of Jordan. Moseh, they asked Moses. 52:20 Moseh! Moses! We will remain in this border. Border Christians are there. We will remain as border Christians. Please, give us this land. Give us this land of Gilead. 52:41 We don't want to cross Jordan and go into that land of Canaan. Why is it that they did not desire it? Why did they not want to cross Jordan and go into the land of Canaan? Why should we settle here itself? The abundance. 53:00 It was the abundance of wealth. They had an abundance of flock. And herds. We read here. We read here in the first verse, second portion. It is indeed a place suitable for flock. The sons. Exceedingly large. 53:20 Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Ger had an exceedingly large number of livestock. Okay. They found that this place was suitable for the livestock. It is a fertile land. It is a place filled in well watered and very fertile. 53:40 They had exceedingly abundant livestock. In verse 16 we also read one more thing. In verse 16 we read here. They came. We will build here sheep foals for our livestock and cities for our little ones. Future. 54:00 Children's welfare. Children's future. They take care of the children's future. It's not wrong. It's not wrong. But what is the first place? Children's welfare. The children's welfare. Children's future. The children's future. 54:15 Business. Business. Money. Money. Wealth. Wealth. That is all the portion belonging to the people of the world. The belly. We will look after the livestock, the sheep, the herd, and the sheep foals and the city for our children. 54:37 What is God's perfect will? They have to cross Jordan. We don't know what is the portion of the land the Lord had allotted for them. We don't know where he kept it for Reuben. We don't know where he kept it for Gad. 54:58 Where he kept it for half tribe of Manasseh we don't know. But they chose something for themselves. We read in Deuteronomy, book of Deuteronomy that Gad, you know, he selected the best place for himself. He selected the best place for himself. 55:19 Enough for me. This is a fertile land. This is a fertile land. Okay. Future will be bright. Our future will be bright. How do you see it? Our children will be comfortable. What about the promised land? Beloved, what about the promised land? 55:32 This is also promised land. Here also we killed the Amorites and took charge of this land. Is this Gilead not promised land? Is this Gilead not promised land? Okay. I will also remain in this corner. I will remain here. 55:53 Please leave me. I will remain in the border. I will remain in the border. Border Christians. Border Christians. No. They didn't desire to go forward. If we keep on itching, you know, keep on nagging God like that, the Lord will allow us to take our will. 56:19 If I keep on going and tell God that I won't remain in Gilead, I won't remain in Gilead, the Lord will allow you to remain in Gilead. Okay. The Lord also told lots like that. Lord, go to the mountain. Climb the mountain. 56:40 Leave me. Leave me. Leave me. Please. This nagging. This itching. In one English translation, it was very nice. The words which Lot says to the angel. Don't compel me. Don't compel me. 57:00 Don't compel me. Don't keep on telling go to the mountain, go to the mountain. Leave me here. From my younger days, days of youth, I have got used to selecting the land of plains. I always, you know, got used to living in the plains. 57:18 Okay. I will go to the land of Zohar, which is also in the plains. I don't want mountains. I don't want to cross Jordan. I don't want to go further into the promised land and conquer the soldiers. If this is an easy and a comfortable life, let me settle here. 57:40 They had the love for money. They were not lovers of God. They were not lovers of God. Beloved. Beloved. The terrible times is not just for those two and a half tribes. The trouble is there for us in these days. 58:00 We always seek for pleasure and comfort and easy life. We want to live in the plains. We don't desire to cross the Jordan. Beloved, let us come into the perfect will of God. Do you know what happened to these people? 58:21 One Chronicles. First Chronicles, chapter 5. One Chronicles, chapter 5. These are the people who are taken captive. The first. First Chronicles, chapter 5. 58:42 Last verse. 26. The verse 26. It says, So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Assyria, even the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser, king of Assyria, and he carried them away into exile, namely the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, 59:00 and brought them to Hala, Heber, Hara, and to the river of Gozan to this day. The people who are living in the border, the border Christians, they will be taken captive first. We don't know about this king of Pul and Tilgath-Pilneser or all of them. 59:20 We don't know. But we know all about the boyfriends and girlfriends in the world. Who are those border Christians? 59:40 Those are the people who are gone into the middle of the promised land and have not got mixed with them. Who are our visitors? They are there in the outer orbit. I have seen those children being taken captives. Because the parents are giving importance for money. 1:00:09 These are the people who are sitting here and thinking of the children's welfare in the future. But the children have been taken captives. Because of the things which belong to the world. Because of these pleasures, the fleeting pleasures of this world. 1:00:26 Because they love this world. They are the people who have lost their children. They have become captives. They don't have this protection. Because they have remained in the border. There is no protection. Beloved, let us fear. 1:00:46 Let us go into the love of God. Let us be, I mean, in the middle of, you know, the brotherhood. We should remain within the promised land, the fellowship of the brothers in the promised land. That is safety for me. 1:01:07 That is where, you know, I can see the brotherhood, the love of God in that. We can see the love, I mean, the length, breadth, width and depth of God's love in that core. We should not say that, you know, we are having fellowship with those two and a half tribes. 1:01:29 It is not, you know, fellowship, but it is all worldliness there. All their choices they make is based on worldliness. Their preferences are worldliness. When we are taken captives, then we will be taken captives along with our families into them. 1:01:52 I want to tell one thing and then close. I want to encourage the young people. 1 Samuel chapter 9. 1 Samuel chapter 9. Let us be gripped by the love of God. 1 Samuel chapter 9. 1:02:18 We read the first time about this young man, Saul. His father, who was from the tribe of Benjamin, Kish, his donkeys were lost. We read in verse 30. Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. So, Kish said to his son, Saul. 1:02:39 Take now with you one of the servants that arise and go search for the donkeys. So, he went to search for the donkeys. He had a good, you know, obedient spirit. When the father told him to go search for the donkeys, he heard his father and went. 1:03:02 This is how children should be obedient children. Okay, he was also faithful in that work. He was faithful in that work. We read here that he had a young son who... In Tamil, it is written that he was a young person. See how faithful he was to search for these donkeys. 1:03:30 In verse 4. He passed through the hill country of Ephraim and passed through the land of Shailashah, but they did not find them. Then they passed through the land of Shalem, but they were not there. Then he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they did not find them. 1:03:44 Verse 5 also. When they came to the land of Ziph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, Okay. Just looking for donkeys, see how many regions he is passing, nations he is passing. Abraham. Ephraim. Salisha. Salisha. 1:04:03 Salim. Shalim. Benjamin. Benjamin. Zouf. Zouf. Eretedi. Searching for what? So, today also, many unbelievers and wisdom of the world, they keep searching for many things, you know, very diligently. 1:04:27 For the people of this world, they seek for the things of this world in a very diligent manner. So, what all do they cross? Abraham. Ephraim. Salisha. Shalisha. Salim. Shalim. Benjamin. Benjamin. Zouf. Zouf. They did not get it. 1:04:48 They are just crossing one land to another land. In one sense, I appreciate their faithfulness. We read in the book of Pravas about a person who has been faithful in his work. Diligent in his work. 1:05:09 These are the days when we have to search for people who are diligent in their work. Because today, it is a very competitive world. Whatever our hand can find, we should do to the whole heart. If you don't have a job in one place, we have to search for another job in another place. 1:05:27 We see here now, there are people who are going to the Gulf and to the other country and other country searching for jobs. All of them are donkeys. They are keeping on crossing lands to find the donkeys. But God has a purpose. 1:05:49 It's not the donkeys which matter. It's not that. But the Lord has kept a plan behind that. We read here. Verse 20. As for your donkeys. A prophet Samuel encounters him. 1:06:11 Don't worry about the donkeys which were lost three days ago. In NASB, it says, don't set your mind on these donkeys. On what should you not set your mind? Don't, you know, keep your, don't set your mind on them. 1:06:34 You don't have to worry about them. Shouldn't I search? You have to search. Shouldn't I search for a bride? You can search for a bride. You can search for a job. You can search for education. But don't worry about them. 1:06:51 Mind only set when they went down. Don't set your mind on them. Samuel says, The remaining half of the verse. The next half of the verse. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father's household? 1:07:08 See the calling and purpose which God has. There is a purpose the Lord has got. Don't worry about your donkeys. Don't set your mind on them. It will all be given to you. 1:07:29 It is already there for you. The Lord has kept it for you. But God has a purpose for you. What is it that he has kept for you? The Lord has kept a kingdom for you. The Lord has kept an anointing for you. 1:07:50 The Lord has kept the fellowship of a godly, elderly person like Samuel for you. He has kept prophecy for you. Beloved. Beloved young people. What should we set our mind on? For whom is all that is desirable in Israel? 1:08:14 It is not for you. The desire which God has towards the church. The young people, the next generation should rise up. The Lord has kept, you know, his purpose and his, you know, whatever he is determined for them. 1:08:35 He has kept the anointing. All these things are there in the back of him. So, enough. Don't worry about your donkeys. All these things have been given to you. It has been given to you. When we seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness first. 1:08:59 It will be put on your lap. It will be put on your lap. It will be found. Caught. The Lord has kept a purpose for you. Beloved. Beloved, let us fulfill that purpose. Let us never doubt the love of God. 1:09:19 Because of the desire for anything of this world, let us not reduce the love for God. Amen. Brother Victor came from a Hindu family. 1:09:49 Brother, many years ago, many, many years ago, somebody told me that if you want to be a good Bible teacher, you must grow up in a Christian home. People who come from Hindu homes become evangelists. Do you see how God has helped our brother to teach the word of God so clearly? 1:10:18 Do you think that is something that comes just by the Holy Spirit coming upon you? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know his private life, but when I listen to a man, I can discern how much he has studied the Bible. 1:10:40 And I find most preachers are lazy. Most Christians are lazy. Most Christians are lazy. They don't study the Bible. They don't study the Bible. And they expect to grow spiritually. They neglect the one book God has given us. 1:11:06 I've heard Brother Victor many times. It's always so refreshing, every single time. And I praise God that God raises up such brothers in our church. I pray there will be many more. There are many others who have been in the church longer than him, who are more educated than him, who can speak English. 1:11:34 Why is God not able to use you? He's not a full-time worker. He's a teacher. He's earned his own living. He lives in a very small house. He's got four sons who have grown up and are following the Lord. 1:11:57 I pray there will be many more like him in our midst. Dear brothers, don't come to the church just to get a benefit. Say, Lord, I want to be useful to you. And I'll tell you, you will never be useful to God if you are not diligent in your study of the word. 1:12:19 And so one of the most important things, don't have a casual understanding of the word of God. If you can read English, I want to ask you whether you have read the commentary we have through the Bible. 1:12:43 I even told people, if you can't afford the cost of it, come to me. I'll give it to you. At whatever you can afford. We're not interested in money. We are not interested in making money in this church. Never been that. Every single one of our books is on the Internet. 1:13:00 You can listen to it all freely. We don't operate our ministry like all these other Christian ministries where everything is for money. They won't put their books on the Internet because nobody will buy them. 1:13:22 They are more interested in profit. They have to pay royalty to the authors. This is where Christendom has gone. The love of many will become cold. Because iniquity will abound. 1:13:42 Because the love of money will increase. Remember this. We are living in that time. If you want to endure till the end, make sure you associate with people who do not love money. There are so many Christian groups, I know personally, 1:14:04 and that I've studied about, that started out in great simplicity, zeal, pursuing holiness, wanting to overcome sin and all that. I mean, from the time of John Wesley, holiness has been preached by many, many groups. But in most cases, 1:14:24 in almost every case I have seen as I have studied them, their downfall was money. They became rich. They pursued after wealth. That became the big thing. They had to urge people in their churches, give money, give money, give money. 1:14:44 Is that following in Jesus' footsteps? To say, give money, give money, give money. When did Jesus say that? He said, give it to the poor. Don't give me anything. Where did Paul say that? And yet, every group that I know of in Christendom, 1:15:06 that I know of, there may be some groups I don't know of, but every single group that I know of, they urge their people, come on, give money, give money, give money. And that proves to me, that is not a work of God. Maybe it was when it started, 1:15:20 in the days of John Wesley and all. But not today. Beware of that. And I'll tell you why. Because, you know, we say, endure in love until the end. How can I endure in love for Jesus until the end? 1:15:40 There's one competitor, you know, like we read of the bride and the harlot. The bride is the church and Christ wants the love of the bride exclusively for himself. That's not wrong. All of you are married. 1:16:01 You want the love of your wife only for yourself. You don't even want your wife to admire another man. Leave alone. Go with another man. That's serious. You don't want your wife to look longingly at another man and say, 1:16:16 I wish I had married him. That is a faithful bride. But if you have a wife who is looking at others and wishing I were married to him, that's a harlot. She may be married to you, but she's got the spirit of a prostitute. 1:16:39 The spirit of the bride is one who's loyal to you. Now apply that to Christ and money. In the world. If one is devoted to Christ, Lord, you are everything to me, there will be no attraction 1:17:00 to money. We use it. It won't be attracted. Now I'll show you this verse. It's very, very important. How shall we preserve ourselves in love? Jesus said in Luke 6 to 16. Luke 16. And verse 13. 1:17:25 No servant. This is a very important verse and I'll tell you something. You will almost never hear anybody preach on this verse in the rest of Christendom and explain it the way I'm going to explain it to you now. No servant can serve 1:17:43 two masters. And the two masters are not God and Satan. Nobody imagines that they can serve God and Satan. The two masters are God and wealth. Read verse 13. See what Jesus said. There are only two masters. He said, not three. 1:18:06 Satan is the master for many people in the world but for a Christian. He's talking about those who are his disciples. There are only two masters challenging a Christian. You Christians will never serve the devil. Impossible. 1:18:20 But it's very possible that you can try to serve God and money at the same time. And it says, no servant can serve two masters because he will hate one and love the other. It's not that he will love one more than the other. 1:18:40 It's not saying, I love God more than money. That sounds so spiritual. Yes, I love Jesus much more than I love money. It's like a wife telling her husband, I love that man but I love you more. Would you be happy with that? 1:18:56 You husbands? You ask your wife, do you love that man also? Yes, I love him also. I love you more. Harlot, prostitute. You cannot say, I love money but I love Jesus more. And all of you who are living like that, I want to say to you 1:19:16 in Jesus' name, you've got the spirit of the harlot. You won't hear that in another church because they want your money. We don't want it. 45 years in all our nearly 100 churches, we have never once taken an offering. 1:19:37 Not once in any church. Not in the poorest villages, not in the richest cities. I'll tell you why. because we look unto Jesus and run the race and I never see Jesus taking an offering, not even once. I never see Paul passing a bag around 1:19:55 saying, please support me. You say, then how will the churches continue? Seek the kingdom of God first. And these other things will be added to you. And we have proved that. I remember when I left the Navy, I said, 1:20:15 Lord, I want to prove. I earned a lot of money in the Navy. I was a very, very highly paid naval officer. But when I left, I gave all my entire life savings away for God's work and started God's work with zero in my bank account. 1:20:31 And I said, I want to prove if God can take care of me with a zero bank account and trust God and somebody may give me a gift. But I was working mostly among students and villages people, not among the rich churches. And the message I preached 1:20:47 was not appealing to all the big denominations. So I got a little bit here and there. My wife and I, when we were married, first three, four years, we were so poor, so poor, that we could not rent a house. I had to live 1:21:03 in one room in my father's house, which he kindly gave us. Not out of choice. Nobody likes to live with their father-in-law or parents' house. What to do? When you don't have money, what do you do? But I said, Lord, I'll never love money 1:21:20 if you let me go through the struggle. I don't know why you're letting me go this way. It's difficult for my wife. But what to do? We're going to be faithful. We will not send letters to other places, sending reports of our work 1:21:33 and all that to get money. I'll never do it. God tested me for four years. And I proved in those years and subsequent years also that he's faithful. who tested me through years to see when you're in need, will you go and tell somebody? 1:21:52 Will you write a letter describing your work to people so that they'll support you? No. And then, after I proved it in my life, we got married, I proved it in my family. then we could have a church, CFC, say, now I proved it 1:22:07 in my life, I proved it in my family with two or three children. Now I want to prove it in a church that the same principle will work in a church. You cannot serve God and money. I proved in my life I can serve God and not bother 1:22:24 about money he provides for me. I couldn't buy whatever I wanted when my shirt collar tore. My wife would remove the collar, turn it, invert it and use the other side of the collar. That's the type of shirts I wore for years 1:22:43 because I couldn't afford to buy a shirt. Now, today people give me so many shirts I don't know what to do with them. I have to give it away to other people. Please remember these are old times. I'm not like that today. 1:22:58 But what I say is God was testing me. We couldn't afford washing machines. We washed our hands, washed our clothes the way Jesus washed his clothes. Is there a better way than that? We can't afford it. We refused to get 1:23:13 into debt. In 80 years of my life I have never borrowed money one rupee from anybody else. If I don't have the money I say I won't buy it. If I don't have the money for something I won't go on a vacation. I won't go on a holiday. 1:23:28 I won't travel. It's fine. I can live without traveling but I'm not going to get into debt. I will not owe one cent to anybody. And I've taught my children that don't ever get into debt. Credit card debt the worst possible thing. 1:23:43 It's an absolutely shameful thing for a Christian child of God to go and buy things on a credit card credit card and not pay it the next month. If you're paying it immediately next month fine. But if you're not able to pay it next month 1:23:56 get rid of your credit card. Can you imagine Jesus buying things in a credit card and not paying it the next month and clearing that debt? Which Jesus are you people following? What are you hearing in the church about Christ 1:24:11 manifest in the flesh? Which Christ? One who gets into debt? One who has credit card debt? Shame on you! That is not the real Jesus Christ that is another Jesus. And you must be an example you must be able to say at least from now on 1:24:26 until the end of your life I did not get into debt. I can say that in our entire married life we never borrowed money. When we had little we lived with little. God was testing us. I'm absolutely convinced that God tests a man 1:24:41 in the area of money before he gives him a ministry. Sure and I'm sure a brother like Victor God has tested him I don't know how God has tested him but I'm absolutely sure he must have been tested in the area of money. And I'm absolutely sure 1:24:54 the reason why many God does not give a ministry to many of you is because he's tested you in your money and you have failed. You're begged you're borrowed and sometimes you're not returned. I've seen that in CFC. People who borrowed money 1:25:10 and never returned it for a long long time get into debt and they want to say Christ came in my flesh. I want to follow him. Another Jesus. Paul says there were times when he didn't have enough to eat. 1:25:31 Why couldn't he borrow? You think people would not loan money to Paul? He wouldn't borrow. He'd say okay if God doesn't give me enough to eat I'll eat what little there is. These are the men whom God has used throughout the generations. 1:25:46 I want to encourage you. So we proved it in our church. For years in Bangalore no offerings. Those who were with us in the early days know that. We never asked never made any drive we never sent reports to anybody. People would sometimes give 1:26:06 and I'll tell you one example. After six years in our home we found it was getting a bit crowded. There were about 60 people and we wanted to have a conference. You know my old house we put a shamiana there and we had a conference there 1:26:24 and all the brothers would sleep one next to the other in our front room. The sisters in different places. and we had our first conference there but it was getting crowded and we needed a place and we looked here and there 1:26:39 we couldn't get one. Then my father had paid the advance for a plot of land in Da Costa Square and he said you can have it for the church but you have to pay the balance and the balance was quite a lot. He had paid only 1:26:58 20% as in a deposit. We had to pay the 80% balance and after six years we didn't have that money. From our offering box we had a little and what we had was less than half. It was about one third 1:27:19 of the money we needed that we had and we had to clear the money in about two or three weeks. In six years we did not have collection. What shall we do? He said we will not send reports to anyone we will not ask anybody 1:27:33 in the world for it. If God wants us to have that land it will be written across it reserved for CFC nobody can touch it. We trusted God and I think it was those who live with us and those who are with us in those days know about it. 1:27:50 about two or three weeks before the deadline before we didn't pay the other fellow would take the land back. Somebody sent us a check for the entire amount which we needed to buy the land. Somebody whom I have never seen 1:28:09 in my life till then and somebody whom I have never seen in my life till today. We just sent a thank you note to him and somebody who never sent any money after that. He's never met me I've never met him he's never come to 1:28:26 CFC. Who did that? Do you believe in God? Do you believe God honors those who trust him? What an that proved to us God wants us to have that land and God gave us on the 1:28:47 main road with a purpose because there were some Roman Catholic believers who walked by that road once and walked in and got converted. Thank God we were on the main road. God put us there with a purpose. We couldn't get a land 1:29:05 on the main road. We became the object of jealousy of all the other Christians around there. How did these guys get this land here? And then it got crowded. So anyway we proved in that church over years. Then I said Lord 1:29:25 I proved it in my life. I proved it in my family. I proved it in this local church but Bangalore is a city. People earn a lot of money here. I want to prove this in the poorest villages in India. That there also we will 1:29:38 have a church without offerings. Let's see whether we can survive. Because God is the God of cities, villages, poor people, rich people. And so God gave us opportunity to go into the poorest villages of India. In two villages where 1:29:52 there were no churches for 2,000 years. Same principle. We will not take an offering. Of course we will help one another. That's fine. But ultimately we want every church to be self-supporting. Not supported by other churches. 1:30:09 And every one of our churches is self-supporting. No church is supported by another church. For their own needs. We may help them to put up a building or something but not more than that. And we have proved in all the poorest villages 1:30:25 in India. We never ask for our money. We never take an offering. All the needs are met. and all our conferences we give free food free accommodation. Come to the villages and see 2,000 people 1:30:46 come. No offering because we have a father in heaven who is interested in our work and we want to prove to an unbelieving generation of Christians Christians that God is faithful. You cannot serve God and money. 1:31:06 You cannot love God and money. You will love one and hate the other. We are talking about enduring in love until the end. If you want to endure in love to Jesus until the end, you've got to stop loving money. And you've 1:31:17 got to prove it. Don't jump into the big ministry first. Start in your personal life. God taught me in my personal life first, then in my family life, then in a small church, and then in other churches. Expand it. And then 1:31:31 the building we had there became small. We had to build another floor. People sitting on top with closed circuit television there and then on top floor. And I thought these poor old people climbing two floors and it got 1:31:42 crowded. Lord, give us another land. And where could we get it? To get a land in Bangalore, first of all, you have to have money which is not declared to the tax authorities. unrighteous money that you keep 1:32:02 in cash. And they'll ask for millions like that if you want to get a land. And we say we don't even have one cent like that. Not even one paisa. Not one rupee like that. No, no, no, then we can't sell you the land. The other 1:32:18 condition we needed in Bangalore was the neighbors must all agree to have a church building here. And which neighbors will allow you to have a church building there? They say we don't want all your cars parked over here and 1:32:28 the children throwing things across the compound wall and so everywhere we went we had these two objections. First we people wanted what they called black money. And second it must be neighbors must agree impossible. There's a 1:32:46 saying that for a Christian the word impossible is in a fool's dictionary. And somebody showed us this land. all the land surrounding here were given by an old Muslim ruler of 1:33:08 India called Tipu Sultan gave it to his descendants and all the descendants are fighting as to who owns it. So it is all in the courts so nobody can build anything here. So we have no neighbors so we didn't have to get anybody's 1:33:21 permission to build the church. God planted it from Tipu Sultan's days. He's got CFC in mind. You don't realize how early God plans everything for us. I'm not telling you stories. Go and ask Ian. Go and ask our treasurer. 1:33:38 He'll tell you. What about the black money part? The man who owned this was a nominal Christian. He had bought it from a good neighbor there in front who owned this whole land. and he had read one of my books this Christian 1:33:56 man who owned this and he was willing to give it to us and I told him listen please give us 10 months to pay the full amount and he said sure and we had only one third of the cost of this land we never 1:34:18 told anybody we never sent out letters asking for money and we had spent from 1980 to 2000 or something to more than 20 years and we had only one third of that amount and in six months we got the remaining two thirds without asking 1:34:39 anybody not even putting pressure on people in our church I know what will happen if I got up in CFC and said brothers we have to buy this land I know the poor people will give the rich people will keep their money it's always 1:34:53 like that I've seen that when I preach about fasting all the thin people fast the fat people never fast I've seen that regularly the fat people remain that's not for me so I've learned from that it's always like that you 1:35:10 preach about giving the poor people will give so I said I'll never preach about it we'll trust God to take care of it and he provided for us we came into this property without debt we have never been in debt in 45 years 1:35:27 in any of our churches we never go to a bank to borrow money because the bank will say where's your income we say we trust God oh sorry we can't give you any loan and then we had to build a hall 1:35:47 here and we had this nice builder who was a Christian of some sort and he said sure I said I don't know whether we'll have enough money he said build it give us the money when you have it and we built it we paid him we did 1:36:05 not get into debt to him for one rupee the numbers increased the type of people sitting here could not fit downstairs what to do Lord we have to build another floor never ask anybody dear brothers and sisters if you 1:36:25 serve God and honor him it doesn't matter what it's your personal need and I'll tell you something all this has cost millions of rupees and we have never asked a person for one rupee I'm not telling stories our treasurers 1:36:45 know it our board members know it I'm saying that for your encouragement when you're in dire need trust God love him and God will supply your need God's called us to pursue after righteousness peace and joy 1:37:05 you cannot love God and love money if you want to endure in love until the end make sure that love of money is not there in your heart at all that you don't pursue after it you should be able to this was my desire as a young 1:37:19 Christian when I committed myself at the age of 26 54 years ago I said Lord I want to live for you and I will trust you till the end of my life money will never be an important factor in my life and I can say today after 54 1:37:35 years of full time Christian work God honors those who honor him you should be able to say at the end of your life I spent my life seeking the kingdom of God and he added everything for me he's added everything I remember 1:37:52 my father was a good man and he gave me some inheritance but it was just enough to sort of make ends meet because through the years God has prospered it but when my father died it was very little that I got and when he was 1:38:07 dying in his deathbed he called me and he said see you got four sons he got he got he got he got he got he got he got he got he said dad if I stop seeking the kingdom of 1:38:27 God even the small school fees to about 100 rupees per month school fees which I was paying those days I will not be able to pay even that but if I seek God's kingdom first God will take care of my children's education I 1:38:40 don't have to beg borrow or ask anybody for anything God helped them to get scholarships and they could study in colleges God does amazing things yeah he can do amazing things for you if you honor him but determined I would 1:38:57 rather die than dishonor the principles by which Jesus lived on this earth to me that Christ manifest in the flesh I am to live like him and to see how he lived particularly in the area of money and we have preached that 1:39:16 through the years that Christ came in our flesh that is the secret of godliness we have preached it for 45 years in this church and in all of our churches and in this area of money we must prove it in ecclesiastes let ecclesiastes 1:39:35 in chapter 2 this is how we can endure in love until the end in love for Christ ecclesiastes chapter 2 in verse 26 for to a person who is good in his sight that is a child of God he gives 1:39:55 them the privilege of collecting in his life wisdom knowledge and joy or in new testament terms righteousness peace and joy in the holy spirit that's the task he has given us believers to accumulate accumulate accumulate 1:40:13 the knowledge of God the wisdom of God and the joy of the Lord all through our life and to the sinners he gives the task of collecting money and money and money and money and money which group are you in and then out of 1:40:29 that money God will make sure that the one who is good in God's sight gets enough for his need also isn't that amazing how God does it I like that which group are you and are you one of those who is good in his sight to 1:40:46 whom he has given the task not of collecting money by putting an offering bag in front of every people or in many places in these big conferences they pass buckets offering bags too small buckets to collect money is 1:41:06 that what he's given are you one of those who is good in God's sight he's given you the task of collecting wisdom knowledge and joy in your life or are you in the other category of those gather collect collect collect more 1:41:23 and more of yourself it will perish with you love God with all your heart and please have this testimony that I have at the end of your life I spent my life seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness and in what way 1:41:41 I could I help the poor and lived with what was minimum necessary for me never buying unnecessary things not living like a beggar bare necessities I mean if you come to my house you'll find it 1:42:02 looks nice but I don't waste money and I thank God that I have a wife who's with me in this when you get so many people and they say we're planning a marriage for our child they 1:42:23 say even in CFC churches we must get a woman a girl who's educated who can earn her own living has she got a college degree in what subject literature she can't earn anything computer science or something 1:42:44 like that where she can earn money that's the type of girl I want to get for my daughter for my son and what family do they have a lot of wealth in their family I thank God that all my four sons their wives are not working 1:43:02 they didn't marry wives to make them work to make money my wife did not work she looked after the children I have seen women who work and I like to see what their children are like wayward leave the home 1:43:22 don't respect the parents because the wife is busy making money I thank God my wife did not go that way and I thank God that all my four sons married into families that 1:43:42 could not give them any money that parents are not rich I'm a living testimony I don't preach here I seek to live the life before I speak dear brothers and sisters examine your life why doesn't God anoint you he sees that 1:44:02 you are a hypocrite you want the honor of belonging to CFC but you don't live by the values of CFC in your life you love money more than you love God you want to live on the border like brother Victor said from the border 1:44:17 I can sometimes go across the border and collect some good things from there but I want to live this side where it's comfortable I hope some of you will wake up now and live at least the rest of your life saying Lord I want 1:44:30 to be a living testimony to this world that there's a father in heaven who cares for his children forget the past God ignores the years of ignorance but he's now commanding all men to repent and say Lord Jesus I want to 1:44:46 love you more I'm not saying you should not get educated by all means I educated my children they must support themselves I said Lord I don't want my children to grow up as beggars they must work hard and support themselves 1:44:57 and serve the Lord and that's what they're all doing I'm very thankful but put God first and he'll honor you and be a living testimony at the end of your life and in your ministry to 1:45:17 you others wherever you are even if you're lonely now and you'll be able to build a church in your locality that has a similar testimony let's pray heavenly father we do not take any credit for what you have done all the 1:45:36 glory is yours you're the one who took care of us from day one till today in our life in our family and in our ministry and we give you all the glory for that be honored in our midst Lord raise up many brothers who can minister 1:45:52 your word powerfully backed up by their life and raise up many churches that will be a testimony to your name we pray in Jesus name Amen 1:46:14 Amen
