0:07 Let's prepare our hearts to sing sing the Lord's praise this morning. Um the first song we're going to sing talks about different seasons of life that we may be in. We might be in a land that is plentiful or we might be in the wilderness. 0:24 We might be on the road that's marked with suffering, that's marked with sickness and pain and loss and grief. Or it might be a good season for some of us. But Job said even before the the Old Testament was given, he said 0:39 "Blessed be the Lord who gives and takes away." Whether I have a plenty, which Job had at one point and then everything was taken away. Regardless of my situation, regardless of the circumstance that God has placed me in 0:52 he is still good and he still deserves praise. Paul said this, he said, "I've learned how to be content with little and with plenty." Because God is good and I have all I need in him. Father, we're we're here this morning, 1:08 Lord, each of us in different situations, Lord. Some of us with an unknown future. Some of us are in a in a relatively easy place, Lord, in life. Help us, Lord, not to lose our focus on you. Whether that be the wilderness or 1:23 in a land that is plentiful, Lord. Help us to realize this morning, Lord, that you deserve your praise. There's so much to think to thank you for, Lord. So much gratitude that our hearts should be filled with this morning, regardless of our 1:37 circumstances, Lord, whether they be good or bad. You deserve the praise, Lord. Just like Job said, Lord even before the Old Testament was given, even before you were revealed, Lord Jesus, to us he was able to say, "Blessed be the 1:50 Lord." How much more should we, Lord, this day that you have been revealed in our hearts, Lord. And that you've given us your spirit. I pray, Lord, that you would fill us with your spirit this morning that you will assist us, Lord, to proclaim 2:05 the glory of God and the praise that is due to your name, Lord, and the gratitude for all that you've done even this past week. We don't have to go back to the beginning of our lives or to when we first came to know you, Lord, but 2:19 even this past week so many things you've done us done for us, Lord. You've You've sustained us. You've kept us from falling, Lord. You've given us a new day. Your word says everything that has breath should praise the Lord and we 2:32 have breath this morning, Lord. And we know you. We know our Father in heaven. We look up to our Father and we want to sing your praise. Be in our midst, Lord. Be enthroned on our praises this morning. [music] And maybe some of us are going through a very hard trial. And God doesn't just 6:16 tell us to be at peace, but he himself is our peace. I was reading um Micah 5 this past week and uh there's a prophecy [music] about Jesus right at the start of that chapter. In verse 2, Micah says, "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, 6:35 who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from [music] you shall come forth for me one who is to be a ruler in Israel, whose coming [music] forth is from of old, from ancient of days." And in verse 5, Micah says, "And he shall be your 6:50 peace." And he is our peace this morning. It's not that, you know, [music] we just stay positive through the trials. When sorrows come, just stay positive, just put a smile on your face. It's it's not toxic positivity. It's because Christ is 7:07 with [music] us. He is our peace. And he's been revealed not only in history, but he's been revealed in [music] our hearts, and we know him. And through the Holy Spirit, we can truly have peace this morning. [music] And brothers and sisters, I encourage 7:21 you this morning, if any one of us [music] is is a little downcast, if our heads are a little bowed in discouragement, or fear, or anxiety, let the Lord destroy the works of the devil this morning. Let him raise your heads again. 7:38 He himself [music] will be our peace. The Lord has been revealed to us. Let's ask [music] the Holy Spirit reveals more of them this morning that this is not just a song. This is not just a time of singing, but it's a time when our Lord, when our 7:53 Father will be revealed to us. And truly He will be our peace. And that quote, 16:32 um, I'll read it again. He said, "Our wealth and property, [music] which we think will provide us security now and in our old age, are broken reeds on which we have leaned. When Christ alone is the rock of our [music] heart 16:49 and our portion forever. Christ alone is the rock of our heart. The same Lord that was prophesied about in Micah 5, who will be our peace. The same Lord that was revealed in [music] Bethlehem, who suffered, bled, and died, and rose 17:06 again, and who seated at the right hand of the Father. The same Lord who's been not only revealed in the pages of history, but in our hearts. Each of [music] us, he knows our name individually. It was for us that he bled and died. It 17:20 was for us that he sweat [music] drops of blood in Gethsemane. There's no reason to be downcast this morning. He knows our name. He sees each tear that falls. He hears us when we call. This morning, if you're calling [music] out to him, if 17:34 you're singing a song of gratitude to him or praise to him, he hears us when we call. And he alone is the rock of our hearts and our portion forevermore. Not the fact that we are our careers are secure, that we are AI-proof, 17:52 or that we have our lives planned [music] out, that we're healthy now, that we have strong genes, none of that. It's that Christ is [music] in us. And that is the hope of glory. He alone is the rock of our hearts and our portion forever. 18:06 [music] Let's sing to him. And our eyes will be opened that the veil will be lifted, Lord Jesus, to see you, to hear you, you who are our rock and our redeemer, you who is our peace.
