0:07 And even as we prepare our hearts this morning to sing the Lord's praise, I thought I'd read a few verses from Psalm 107. It says, "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. And let the redeemed of the Lord say 0:27 so." I was thinking about that line. Have Have we been redeemed from anything here this morning? So many of us with so many victories, so many triumphs of his grace in our lives. And let us say so this morning. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, [music] 0:43 whom he has relieved redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands from the east and from the west, >> [music] >> from the north and from the south, seated here at his father's table. Verse four, "Some wandered in desert 0:55 wastes, >> [music] >> finding no way to a city to dwell in, hungry and thirsty. Their soul fainted within them, and they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they 1:09 reached a city to [music] dwell in. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of men, for he satisfies the longing soul and the hungry soul he fills with good things. Some sat in darkness and in the shadow 1:24 of death, prisoners [music] in affliction and in chains, for they had rebelled against God and against his word and spurned the counsel of the Most High. So he bowed their heart hearts down with hard labor, and they fell down with none 1:39 to help, but they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and burst their bonds apart. [music] Let them thank the Lord for his 1:51 steadfast love." We can We can go on reading. It's a wonderful psalm. [music] But if that reminds you of yourself, if that's where you were. >> [music] >> And if the Lord has redeemed you, let the redeemed of the Lord say so this 2:03 morning. We're going to sing a line in a few minutes in this first [music] song, and we're going to sing we're declaring aloud his praise and glory and wisdom and thanks. And we've been exhorted recently to [music] to take seriously every word that we 2:16 sing on Sunday morning, but really anytime. And we shouldn't say we're declaring aloud and not actually be declaring aloud. So, let's declare aloud the salvation of the Lord. And he says, "And so we are." In the NASB it says, "In fact, we are." It's almost a moment to pause and think how great that truth is that was included in one single sentence, that we 6:32 are children of God. Those of us who had strayed, who had rebelled, those of us who caused Jesus his pain on the cross, those of us who caused the sweat drops of blood. But somehow, because of Christ's great sacrifice today, 6:47 we are children of God and in fact, we are and so we are. I was thinking about how can it be? Have we stopped wondering from when the Lord first brought us to the fold? How can it be, Lord, that me I was just [music] not a neutral being. 7:04 I was your enemy. I caused your pain. I pursued you till death. How is it that I can gain an interest in the Savior's [music] blood? How is it that I can come boldly before the throne of my father this morning? >> [music] 7:18 >> How is it I get to call God my father? Not just creator, not just almighty God, but my father. Let's praise him [music] this morning. Let's Let's give him the praise that is due. And can it be that a sinner like me, who was bound in sin, 7:33 >> [music] >> who was bound in darkness, in the valley of the shadow of death, destined for judgment, >> [music] >> can it be that I should gain an interest in my savior's blood. And can it be that this morning I can come before my father boldly 7:47 [music] before his throne of grace and call him father, be seated at his table boldness [music] knowing that my savior has paid my debt.
