0:02 [music] >> My glory [music and singing] and lifter of my head. My glory and lifter of my head. For >> [singing] >> thou, oh Lord, art a shield [music] for me. 0:22 My glory and the lifter of my head. >> [music and singing] >> I cried unto the Lord with my voice. I cried unto the [music and singing] Lord with my voice. I cried unto [music and singing] the Lord with my voice, 0:42 and he heard me out of his holy [music] hill. My glory [singing] and the lifter of [music] my head. My glory [singing] and lifter of my [music] head. For thou, oh Lord, [singing] art a shield [music] for me. 1:02 My glory and the lifter of my head. I cried unto the Lord. I cried unto [music and singing] the Lord with my voice. I cried unto the Lord with my [singing] voice. I [music] cried unto the Lord with my voice, [singing] 1:21 and he heard [music] me out of his holy hill. >> [singing] >> My glory and lifter of my head. >> [music] >> My glory [singing] and lifter of my head. For >> [music] >> thou, oh Lord, [singing] art a shield for me. 1:41 My glory [music] and the lifter of [singing] my head. >> [music] >> Now >> [singing] >> with a song of grateful praise to thee, [singing and music] oh Lord, my 1:58 voice I'll raise. With all thy saints I'll join to tell >> [music] [singing] >> My Jesus has done >> [music] >> all things well. How sovereign, [singing and music] 2:18 wonderful, and free has been thy love [music and singing] to sinful me. Thou saved me from [music and singing] the jaws of hell. My [singing] Jesus [music] 2:34 has done all things well. [singing] >> [music] >> Since [singing] ere my soul has known his love, what mercies [music and singing] he has made me prove, mercies which do 2:52 all praise excel. [singing] My Jesus has done [music and singing] all things well. And when on [music and singing] that bright day I rise and join the [singing] 3:12 anthem of the skies, [music] above the rest this note [singing] shall swell. >> [music] >> My [singing] Jesus has done all >> [music] >> things well. >> Let's sing the verse again. When on [singing] that bright day I rise 3:31 >> And [music] when on that bright day I rise and join the anthem of [singing and music] the skies, above the rest this note shall swell. My [music] Jesus [singing] 3:50 has done >> [music] >> all things >> You know that shall be true. We're going to sing another uh new hymn for [music] many of you, but it's an old hymn, maybe 70 years old or so. You know, for many people coming on Sunday morning is a chore, it's a 4:09 burden, they would rather [music] be doing something else. For us, this is what we would most rather be doing. We would do it every day if we could, be in the presence of the Lord together with His saints. That's what heaven is going to be like. 4:23 And so we get a little bit of a taste of heaven here on Sunday [music] mornings. But it's not a club attachment, it's not a human attachment, it's not liking each other because of our human love for each other. [music] It's a unity in the spirit, and that's 4:37 what this next song talks about. Oh, we long to be together. What rejoicing [music] fills our hearts, if you can pull up those words. There's no other fellowship we here desire. [music] Are we able to pull up the words on 4:52 uh this next song? >> [music] >> Yeah, there we go. Okay. Uh and that fellowship comes through each [music] of us choosing to die, to put our flesh on the cross. Jesus said, "Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, [music] 5:08 it remains alone." If you're looking to have fellowship, to have community through spiritual community, there's only one way, and that's through [music] falling into the ground and dying like a grain of wheat. Otherwise, you'll always be alone, even 5:23 sitting in a church like this. A grain [music] of wheat must die, fall into the ground and die. But if it does fall into the ground and die, Jesus [music] said, it would bear much fruit. So, when the flesh is on the cross, the third line of that first 5:36 verse, and Jesus' spirit reigns within us, then His glory and His oneness we [music] acquire. In the second verse we'll [music] say, "We are happy and contented when together we can be. God is drawing 5:55 us together more each day. And we're strengthened [music] in our faith, built up in the spirit. The price he asks only one price, that is death [music] to self life. If you're willing to give up your self life, offer your body as a living 6:09 sacrifice, you [music] too can experience this life. And in the last verse, so we praise his name together as we see his grace so great. He saves us and keeps us, [music] every one of us, by his holy word. His word is our food and drink from 6:25 heaven, which gives [music] us power in temptation. That's why we memorize, we read God's word, we hear from God's word. It's our food and drink today [music] to gives us that gives us power in temptation so that we too can 6:38 overcome the devil. This week, dear friend, dear brother, sister, and even you children, >> [music] >> Jesus Christ wants to defeat the devil afresh through you. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, but what you're going 6:51 to face this week. And so, in the chorus we'll sing, "With Christ glory [music] radiating in the church and God's clear light shining through." This is the fellowship that can carry the heavenly light. Searching deep, [music] it shines within 7:06 us. Brings our flesh upon the cross and everything that's hid in darkness comes to light. [music] Do you want everything in you that's hid in darkness to come to light? It's a safe place. The light is much safer than darkness. 7:20 >> [music] >> No more reason to hide, no more reason to cover up because Jesus has taken your shame and guilt away. Come into the light. This is the place [music] of safety. Thank you, Father. Let's sing together. Oh, we long [music and singing] to be 7:35 together. What rejoicing fills our hearts. There's no [music and singing] other fellowship we desire. >> Let's clap and sing. When the flesh >> When the [music and singing] flesh is on the cross and Jesus' spirit reigns among 7:51 us, then His glory [singing and music] and His oneness we acquire. With Christ's glory [music] radiating and God's clear light shining through, such a fellowship can bear the [music and singing] heavenly light. Searching deep, it shines within 8:13 >> [music] >> us, brings our flesh [singing] upon the cross, and everything [music] that's hidden darkness comes to sight. We [singing] are happy and contented when together [music] we can be. God is drawing us together [music] 8:32 [singing] more each day. In our faith we all are strengthened, and our >> [singing] >> built up in the spirit, [music] and to self-denial is the price that we must pay. >> [music] >> With Christ's glory radiating [singing] 8:52 and God's clear light shining through, such [music] a fellowship can [singing] bear the heavenly light. >> [music] >> Searching deep, it shines within us, brings our flesh upon [music] the cross, [singing] and everything that's hidden 9:10 darkness comes to sight. >> [music] >> So we [singing] praise His name together as we [music] see His grace so great. By His [singing] holy word He saves and keeps each one. [music] It's our food and drink from heaven, 9:29 [music] gives us power [singing] in temptation to overcome the devil just [music] as has done. With Christ [singing] glory radiating [music] and God's clear light shining through, such a fellowship can bear the [music] 9:49 heavenly light. Searching deep, it shines [music] within us, brings our flesh [singing] upon the cross, and [music] everything that's hid in darkness comes to sight. With Christ glory radiating 10:08 and God's clear light shining through, [music and singing] such a fellowship can bear the heavenly light. >> [singing] >> Searching deep, it shines within us, [music] brings our flesh upon [singing] the cross, and everything that's hid in 10:26 darkness [music and singing] comes to sight. >> We'll go to a time of prayer and consecration, commitment to the Lord. Dear brothers, sisters, children, I invite you all to make this a a an altar that you build before the Lord 10:45 in your heart. We don't build earthly altars anymore. The altar's in your heart where you give up your will. Like we just sang, death to flesh, death to the self-life. That you that's maybe still unbroken, still unmelted and bended before the 11:03 will of God. Offer it to him afresh. This is the only way to a truly joyful life, a true life of peace and rest and freedom from anxiety and worry. So, offering him your self-life. Say, "Lord, no longer my will, but yours." 11:21 So, build an altar and lay your body as a living sacrifice on it today, this morning as we gather, as we're here. It's not my prayer for you that matters, it's your prayer. You talk to your father. He's your father. And the Holy 11:34 Spirit is within you if you invite him to come and dwell within you and cry out within you and lead your prayer with groanings too deep for words we we read. The Holy Spirit will cry out within you. Invite him afresh to guide your tongue 11:50 and to give you words to say, heavenly words even to say that you might glorify him, that you might commit your life afresh to him. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for this time that you gathered us together, Lord, and we're 12:02 here to to know you more intimately, not just to have a good time together, not to sing songs that we enjoy doing or even uh have our ears tickled with some message, Lord. We're here to have an encounter with you, the living God. It 12:17 is you with whom we have to do. It's you before whom we stand, every one of us individually. Every one of us one day will have to stand before that throne and give account for our lives. And Lord, we want to do it now. And judge 12:27 ourselves and to examine our hearts, to have you search the deepest portion of our hearts through your Holy Spirit so that when we stand before you, we know that we will not be judged because we have already been judged and searched 12:39 and examined and cleansed and freed and liberated by your Holy Spirit. So, do that, Lord, now throughout our not just on Sunday mornings, but throughout our moments every day, every every week, every month, and as until you come, 12:53 Lord, may we walk in this purifying life, the sanctified life set apart for you. So that we're ready for your coming. We don't want to take it for granted. Thank you that the work is finished. You've already done it, Lord. We don't have to 13:06 add anything to it. We cannot add anything to it. But we give ourselves that your cleansing work, that finished work will be in our hearts thoroughly applied and thoroughly cleansed. Thank you, Father. We give you all the glory and honor and 13:20 praise. You're worthy. You alone are worthy, Lord. You will make us holy, we know that, but you alone are worthy. You will receive all the glory and honor and praise. We thank you. Thank you, Lord. I pray on behalf of anyone who's in a 13:32 spiritual battle here. Any life in whom the devil has a foothold, even a little child perhaps, or young person. A husband or wife, brother, sister, whoever it might be, father, I pray that you will come and break the chains that have bound them 13:45 for so long. You said that when we bind on this earth, it would be bound in the heavenlies. And when we loose on this earth, it would be loosed in the heavenlies as well. And so we bind your work, Satan, in the name of Jesus and 13:56 resist you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that we can have and do have authority over Satan because you defeated him completely on the cross. So Lord, I pray we lift we know who are going through a difficult trial, Lord, or defeated by 14:11 sin, bad habits, addictions. Whoever it might be, Lord, whether it's somebody here in this room listening to this prayer, or others we know, we intercede for them, Lord, as you are, Lord Jesus, at the right hand of the Father, even 14:22 now, 24/7, interceding for us. We thank you. Lord, just partnering with you in the work that that is carrying on there in heaven. We join you, Lord, in that. So we commit them to you. Break the power of sin, Lord, in any life. We ask 14:36 that you will do that. You pray for marriages that maybe are growing cold or distant. We pray that you'll unite the hearts of husbands and wives into deeper unity. That our marriages will be a a little bit of a taste of the 14:49 relationship between you and the church and the unity of heaven. Do that, Lord. It seems impossible. In fact, it is. But we believe that through your Holy Spirit, you will do that step by step, a little bit more each day, growing 15:00 sweeter in unity and fellowship here in our marriages, in our homes, Lord, in our hearts, we pray. Pray for our relationships with our children, parents and children, children and parents. That our homes also will be an 15:12 a foretaste of heaven. Will you establish our homes, Lord, that those who come in who who observe our lives will see there's something different. That we're not like the rest of the world. We are we are seeking to be united. We want to win the hearts of our 15:24 children. We want our children to grow up to be obedient and and to honor their parents, to respect them, Lord, in a generation that's growing worse and worse, growing further and further away from the the commands and the 15:35 instruction you've given us in your word. I pray that our children will be gripped by the truth. Will you fill them with your Holy Spirit as well, Lord? Will you write their laws on your hearts and in their on their hearts in the same 15:46 way that you wrote your finger wrote on those tablets of stone, those commandments. Write your laws on our hearts and even our children, Lord, that inside them they will have the power to resist sin, to overcome, to not be like 15:57 the rest of the world, to not be drawn into the things of this world. Oh, we plead with you, Lord. We We're helpless as parents. We have no no ability in ourselves. We can't change their hearts, but you can. You are the heart-changing 16:08 God. You are the savior who can save even the utter the for the one who's most sinful, Lord. Thank you. Thank you, Lord. You will save us to the uttermost. We praise you. So, knit our hearts together in our homes, Lord, and I pray 16:20 for especially for our young people during this time of summer holiday, Lord, that they won't be idle with their time, but they will dive into your word, that they will be immersed in your word, they will cry out to you, they'll spend 16:31 time in prayer when they can, seeking for you to fill them with the Holy Spirit, Lord, as well, that they'll lay a hold of you. Will you grip their hearts, Lord? Help them to be to be loving and kind to others and to be of 16:42 service, Lord, to wherever they can, to be helpers in the home. Thank you. Give us wisdom, Lord, as parents. We've asked and we believe in faith as we have said before that not one of these children will be lost, Lord. We know that is your 16:54 will and we're praying according to your will that not one of these little ones will be lost. Thank you that you care for them. Thank you, Lord, that your eyes are on them and so you will help us. We fix our eyes on you. We We don't 17:05 know what to do, Lord, and we're powerless, but our eyes are on you and therefore we know we have confidence. You this the the all-powerful God will save will save them will save us all. We think of those all that have walked away 17:18 from you or those of our loved ones that aren't in a living relationship with you. Any who have not surrendered their life to be to you to be their Lord and Savior. Lord, we lift them up to you. You know, we know that you love them far more than 17:31 we do. We're just attached to them in our earthly way, Lord, but you are their maker. You are their creator. Lord, you intended for them to be a part of your family. They want them to be your children. So, Lord, old or young, I pray 17:43 we intercede for those who don't know you that that you will draw them to you and use us, Lord, as your hands and your feet and your voice and your eyes. Give us your heart, Lord, that we can draw them to you. We thank you, Lord. We also 17:56 commit our earthly needs to you. Pray for those who are sick. Even right now, Lord, we pray that you will lay your hands on them and touch them and heal them. We believe there is healing power in your hands just as much 18:07 today, the risen Savior, as it was when you walked on this earth and every single person whom you touched to heal was healed. And every single dead person whom you laid your hands on was raised to life. And every single blind person 18:20 who's who's whom you touched had their eyes open, Lord. You are the same God. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, Lord, will you do a miracle according to your will where it's needed, Lord. Touch those who are sick 18:32 today, those that can't be here, others who deal with constant pain in their body. We know we've asked many times, but we don't even though the answer might delay, we don't grow weak in faith, but our faith grows stronger that 18:43 you are a God who loves. You are a God who has compassion. As a father pities his children, so our God, so our heavenly Father has compassion on us because we fear you. We love you, Lord. We are your children. Thank you for that 18:56 comfort. For our earthly needs as well, our material needs, we thank you that you are the you are our provider, Jehovah Jireh, our provider. You are that God still today, Lord. We give you all the glory and we trust our earthly 19:08 jobs, the means of providing for our family so that we don't have to beg, borrow, or steal from anybody else, Lord. You are our provider. Our confidence is not in the jobs we have or how much is in the bank account or what 19:19 the job market's going to look like. Our confidence is in you who never changes. You own the cattle on a thousand hills. All the riches of the world, Lord, belong to you. You You allowed this to happen. It's just play in your hands, 19:31 Lord. It's just a small thing in your hand to provide for our earthly needs. May we be those who seek your kingdom first and your righteousness, knowing that you will add all that we need. Thank you, Lord, that you are God will 19:45 supply all our need >> [music] >> according to your riches in Christ Jesus. Praise you, Lord. Even as we continue [music] to sing, I pray that you will search our hearts. Try our actions. See if there is any thing in us [music] that makes you sad. 20:04 Any way Any way of speaking, any way of thinking that grieves you. And free us from it. [music] Thank you, Lord. You will do that.
