I was thinking about that woman who had 17:49 bleeding for 12 years. She came and touched Jesus, and she was healed. We want to touch the Lord and receive the healing from the Lord. Let's pray that the Lord will touch our spirits, and our lives will be changed. Our gracious, loving heavenly Father, we 18:08 thank you for your presence for the past two days, and Lord, we come to you in great need and with great expectation, Lord. We believe your touch can change our lives. It can rebuild the ruined hearts and mold us, Lord, into your image. Rekindle 18:26 fire in our hearts. Pray for those who are speaking your word. Pray, Father, that your word will come in the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power that may that we may receive a word from you, Lord, and change our hearts, our lives. 18:42 We want to give you all glory and honor, Lord. We want to give you all praise and glory and honor. You deserve the glory and honor. You alone are worthy. We want to bless your holy name. Thank you. Thank you, Father, for hearing us in 18:55 Jesus' precious and mighty name we pray. Amen. Over to Brother Victor and first, and then Brother Vincent. Brother John Paul will help with the translation. Psalm 41. 19:27 >> [clears throat] >> Psalm 41. >> [clears throat] [cough] >> What a 19:44 What a wonderful verse, now. Verse [clears throat] 11, we read a wonderful verse. Please read. By this I know that you are pleased with me. By this I know that you are [clears throat] pleased with me because my enemy does not shout in 19:59 triumph over me. >> [clears throat] >> Instead of enemy, we can replace that since the 20:18 man David living under the old covenant, he mentioned as earthly enemies. Now, new covenant with a light [clears throat] of the verse We can read in the light of the new covenant. How should we read this verse? This is how we should read. By this I 20:43 know you are pleased with me because my enemy Satan does not shout in triumph over me. Praise the Lord. Praise the [clears throat] Lord. Praise be loved. This is an aspect or area where we can 21:02 manifest the life of Jesus. Overcoming Satan. Overcoming Satan. At no point in no area of our lives, 21:20 Satan, our enemy, should not triumph over us. By this we will know that God is pleased with us. I'm a little bit good. In In a little bit good. Many of us have this question, is my 21:38 life really pleasing to God? Here we have an answer here. Satan in a miracle [clears throat] of the Lord of the world. Father to the sound of the world. I'm pleased with you. I'm pleased with you. Whenever Satan could not 21:54 triumph over us, we can hear a sound coming from the Father that I'm well pleased with you. I'm pleased with you. We can change this verse and read it like this as well. One enemy, outside enemy. One enemy, [clears throat] inside 22:07 enemy. One enemy is an outside enemy. The other enemy within inside. That is Satan. Outside enemy is Satan. enemy in the flesh. What is the inside enemy? The flesh. So, we can read this verse like this as well. In in the real story 22:27 Job By this I know that you are pleased with me because my enemy flesh doesn't shout in triumph over me. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. At no point our flesh should triumph over us. Jesus 22:45 whole life flesh In the whole life of Jesus, the flesh and Satan, they did not triumph over Jesus. >> [clears throat] >> We can test ourselves to know whether 23:08 God is pleased with us or not. Beginning God's intention Satan Right from the beginning, the intention of God was this that man should triumph over Satan. Luke chapter Genesis chapter 3 4 We can turn to 23:27 Genesis Genesis chapter 3. >> [clears throat] >> We all [clears throat] know Job chapter 1. Heaven could be done or 23:47 the real unseen real unseen drama in the real heaven in the real In Job chapter 1, we can read about the real unseen live action that's happening in heaven between Satan and God. Between Satan and God. God 24:11 Satan in the garden of the world. The Lord asked Satan, "Where are you coming from?" He said, "I roamed around the whole world and coming to you." The Lord asked, "Did you see my servant Job?" Oh. Job when Satan you only believe what 24:28 you believe. I don't know what you mean. I don't know. Does Job serve you out of nothing because you have made a hedge about him? That's why he's serving you. Okay. In the In the real story in the world in the real world Job chapter 1 in 24:42 the real world You read in Job [clears throat] chapter 1 the real incident that happened there. unseen conversation in the real Genesis chapter 3 in the real The same unseen real live action happened in Genesis chapter 3 as 25:02 well. You have to tell you that in the real world real world man and woman Adam and Eve they didn't know that But this man and woman Adam and Eve, they were not aware of that. Lucifer [clears throat] Through rebellion, Lucifer fell and 25:24 became Satan. He was already placed in Eden. And because of his rebellion, he was 25:41 pushed out pushed away. His tail took 1/3 along with him. Okay. When they fell down, they destroyed all of God's creation. Okay. When they fell down, When they fell down, they destroyed all of God's creation. 26:00 Okay. But they would restore and God restored everything. First day, second day, third day, fourth day, fifth day, sixth day. Day one, day two, day three, day four, day five, day six God restored. He made a man out of dust and from there 26:24 a woman out of from there and they made a man God made a man and woman. So, what was the intention of God? Adam and Eve Adam and Eve were not aware of that. I already kept a created being Lucifer 26:51 on this Eden. But he rebelled against me. I pushed him away. Now I'm keeping this two at Eden. Now they will worship me. 27:12 They will submit to my word. They will obey my authority. They will obey my authority. To test them, to test them They would put a tree God [clears throat] kept a tree like this. Good for all of them. Good for all of 27:34 them. Good for food, delight to eyes, desirable to make one wise. What's the reason? In the matter of Job, we know that 27:54 Satan asked question like this to God. How did he ask a question? Is he serving you for nothing? You have put a hedge around him. The same Satan, this is how he would 28:12 have asked God. >> [clears throat] >> If God had kept a tree which is not desirable, which is thorny, which doesn't look good and doesn't taste 28:30 good, what would Satan ask God? What is the big thing in that? bitter fruit a thorny tree It looks ugly. In In that, what is a big obedience 28:50 there? Satan should not ask like that. Okay. I will show you the way. Even before he could say that, this is how God planned. delight to the eyes Tree was desirable. Good for food. Good for food. 29:09 And he created all that. They would expect What was God's expectation? Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve. He did not reveal his expectation. unseen 29:24 the real conversation challenge drama The unseen real live action that's happening up there and the conversation, they were not aware. What was God's expectation? Satan would Satan would come. and tempt Adam and 29:44 Eve, what should they do? What should Adam and Eve do? Get behind me, serpent. I will show them. Get behind me, serpent. I'm going to show them. They should have said, "Get behind me, Satan, serpent." He would say like that. 29:58 They would say like was God's expectation. Satan would have roaming around every day. He's just roaming around to see whom he can devour. Should I tempt Adam or should I tempt Eve? 30:18 Through whom I can come and turn in? Oh, finally I would come to a final conclusion. Okay, in the serpent and the serpent is very clever. Yes, beloved. If you are very shrewd and very clever, be careful. They are number one. 30:32 This is Satan. Satan will come and put all the things in your life. For Satan to enter or to come in, they are the number one target. Okay, the serpent is very shrewd. The Lord is looking carefully. I'm going to tell you the roaming. I'm 30:42 going to tell you the serpent. God knew that [clears throat] Satan is roaming around. God knew that he is approaching the serpent. God's expectation is that Adam and Eve would stand up and put shame to Satan. They will overcome. That 30:47 was God's expectation right from the beginning. Just imagine this. I don't know if I have conveyed what is in my spirit to you. What would have been God's expectation when that incident happened in the Garden of Eden? Serpent 30:51 came to deceive. Adam or Eve should have said, "Get behind me, serpent." Our Lord God had said not to eat from it. It's delightful to the eyes. It's very attractive. It's very attractive. How much ever it is attractive, it doesn't 30:55 matter. Even if it is so delightful, it doesn't matter. Get behind me, serpent. Get behind me, serpent. If they have told like that, what the father would have done? He would have jumped in joy. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That did not 30:59 happen. That did not happen. Many ask questions like this in the question and answer time. If the children ask such questions, it's fine. People who are in the church for many years, they are asking questions like this. Why did God 31:04 permit Satan? Could God have put a fence around the tree and protected the tree? Beloved, God's purpose in that in the dust to make it a shape, a breath, a life is to demonstrate this human created being to Satan. In the created 31:09 beings, I would worship the creator than the created being. This doesn't matter to me. My God is important for me. They failed to do that. What a disappointment it was to God at the Garden of Eden. Beloved, let us leave the story of Adam 31:14 and Eve. What about us? If we know the intention of God, we can resist in the name of Jesus and can have victory like Jesus. This is the unseen real incident that happened up there behind Genesis chapter three. I know of real brothers true brothers in our midst. Wife will be working in a place the husband in a different place. Every time they would go sit in a 41:58 counseling for transfer. Brother, my wife is going for a counseling for transfer. Please pray for her. And what would happen? It would not have come. Next year next year counseling. Next year counseling she'd go again. Take the underground means they get the 42:22 job. They get the transfer. Praise the Lord. Even if I don't get the transfer. Even if I don't get the promotion. Even if I don't get the job. I will not worship Satan. 42:41 God is important for me. Even if it is very attractive, it doesn't matter. Even if it is a government post, it doesn't matter. I won't take an underground or secret or shortcut. Yes, beloved. The Lord is expecting such ones who will 43:04 worship him in truth. There are some others. In the world to put it to panic over there in the world to put it to panic to put it over there in the world to put it to panic to put it over there. Get the things of this earth or world, they have so many 43:22 different routes. I'd like to show a few things. bribery Some [clears throat] they give bribery wrong means to get something. by by solely by telling lies. Some by 43:41 telling lies. by solely by telling by solely They tell [clears throat] a lie. False documents submit money. >> By submitting a false document. Get get a seat. Get a seat. Did he get the things? Yes, he got things. By giving a false report. 44:04 To Naaman he went up and said, "My master said like this." And he got some things and came back. Can I tell a lie and get something? Yes. By telling lie you can get something. By telling a lie you can get a job. By submitting a false document or a 44:24 false report you can gain something. What does it mean? It's worshipping the devil. To get the things of the world I will worship or I will serve or bow down before Satan. I know of a young boy. He attended an interview once in a big 44:50 hospital for a nursing post. He should have one year experience certificate. But he had only 10 months of experience. That was during COVID. He couldn't work in any hospital for a 45:13 long time or even for a year. He only had 10 months of experience. What would the weak conscience say? What would the weak flesh say? 10 months equal to 10 months is equal to 1 year. 45:33 This is what it would say. 10 months is equal to more or less equal to 1 year. Some would do that. 1 year of experience and they will submit a certificate. Yes, beloved. The good conscience will prick. Many consciences are pricking them 45:58 today. Yes, beloved. Not here to condemn. For the future. In the coming days and for the future. Not for the past. Not for the past. We have mercy and forgiveness in our Lord. Some call me and say I have a problem 46:20 like this, brother. Conscience is troubling me so much. It's continuously pricking me. For some things we give an explanation. You you are giving explanation, brother, 46:41 but that's not helping me. My conscience is still troubling me. So I'm going to give an explanation. Some go out and give explanation like that. Beloved, we are mentioning this so that in the future we won't make a mistake 46:57 like this. We should not give room for a guilty conscience. 10 months Sorry, sir. I'm a Christian. >> [clears throat] >> 10 months on 1 year. He said, "Sorry, 47:15 sir. I'm a Christian." I can't change 10 months into 1 year. And they also said if you don't have 1 year's of experience certificate, we won't give the job to you. Okay, goodbye. Okay, goodbye. He went and joined another hospital. 47:36 See. By giving false reports we get a job. We get something. What are we doing there? We are worshipping the devil. Yes, beloved. Let us not worship Satan. We need to overcome him. That's the 47:58 desire of God. We know the story of Gehazi. What happened to him? The curse that was upon him came to his descendants. Okay, one more thing. One 48:18 more thing. The Bible says, "One who is stealing, he should not steal any further." Ephesians 4. One who is stealing should no longer steal. Deuteronomy Deuteronomy 48:36 chapter 23. Deuteronomy 23. Deuteronomy chapter 23. Verse 24. Verse 24. We read there. Deuteronomy chapter 23 verse 24. >> [clears throat] >> Deuteronomy 23 verse 24. 49:00 When you enter your neighbor's vineyard, then you may eat grapes until you are fully satisfied, but you should not put any in your basket. Should not put any in your basket. If you want as much as you want, you 49:21 eat. You shouldn't take anything. Even in the old covenant God had commanded this. Don't steal. From a very young age we should teach this to our children. The to go home to go to go to go to go. 49:41 The not to steal. They may pick up something from the school and come home. They may come home with a pencil or a pen that doesn't belong to them. Mothers will have to inquire that. 49:59 Whose pen is this? He took my pen, so I took his pen. What shall we say? Shall we appreciate him very smart? No, no, no, no, no. If it's not yours, come come along with 50:21 me. We should return it. How can you take it? Where should it start? It should start from very young age. It should start in home, family. See, We read in Proverbs 28. We have to teach 50:41 these things to our children. Proverbs 28 When we leave these things at a young age, in the future they face bigger problems. Proverbs chapter 28 verse 24 Proverbs 28 50:58 24, he who robs his father or his mother and says it's not a transgression is the companion of a man who destroys. bank You will be a companion of 51:15 guy who loots a bank. When if he starts to rob at home. Where is this stealing starts? It starts with the 51:33 Horlicks box. >> [laughter] >> They will keep it in the mouth and the Horlicks won't melt in the mouth also. It will all be sticky all over the mouth. 51:51 Open your mouth. And they open the mouth, it's all over the mouth. Stealing at home. At a young age, we should correct that. If we leave that, We talk about Horlicks now. 52:15 I'm sorry to say this. There are children who steal the jewelry of the parents. jewels of the parents. Some steal the property the documents of 52:38 the property from their parents. They're all thinking that this property is with my elder brother. But they have done so many things to that property. The others are think that the jewels of 53:01 mommy is with someone. Where do they steal from the parents? Yes, we are crossing Yes, we come across such people. All this happens in the secret. 53:21 Stealing. Taking a shortcut. By fighting. Jesus said my kingdom is not of the world. we should fight or quarrel to get 53:39 something of this world. Fighting with the parents. Fighting with the siblings. And from there and what what he would be 53:57 saying? Lord, my kingdom is of the not of the world. quarrel for money or things of the 54:15 world. My kingdom is not of this world and my kingdom is not of this place. >> [clears throat] >> Some in my >> [clears throat] 54:41 >> Last some years I'm I'm staying in place called Madurai. I stayed in a house for 5 years. Recently I vacated that rental house to a different house. I paid a lakh of rupees as an advance. 55:12 They usually take one month of rating rent painting. They should check the whole house. The owner checked the house, inspected the house. They couldn't find any problem. I thought they will take one month's 55:33 rent and return the advance amount. So when I asked, they responded like 57:07 this. I read cleaning charges and painting. Lord, my kingdom is not of this world. We stayed there for 5 years. 57:41 We have to manifest We have to manifest the fragrance of Christ. We stayed there for 5 years. Okay. 58:05 So we are so grateful. I sent a note thanking them and expressed that we are grateful and we sent a note of blessing to them and we received what they gave. This blessing can be the other way also. If God can bless you, be blessed. 58:49 you can be blessed, be blessed. No, not like that. Real blessing from the heart. with all >> [clears throat] >> All gratefulness and thankfulness, we bless them. manifesting the fragrance of 59:09 Christ. That is what it means to manifest the life or fragrance of Christ. We came out peacefully. After month, they wrote back to us. >> [laughter] >> The climax is this. They responded after 59:29 a month saying if you want to [laughter] come back to the house, you can come back. >> They got somebody to cheat upon. Suprem on a way. It's beloved. Satan on a calling kill condom. Should bring Satan under our feet. Or both 59:46 Satan may not be the one. Satan should never be there. It is God's desire that we bring Satan under our feet. May the Lord grant us grace. Amen. Thank God for the powerful word we 1:00:29 heard. And Yeah, even after going home let us recall what God has spoken to us. And mark out the areas where 1:00:48 it can be applied in our lives. Application is very important. That's why in James we read, let us not be the hearers of the word of God. Let us also be the doers of the word of God. So, we have come to the last 1:01:12 uh after last session of the conference. We'll turn to James chapter 1 1:01:43 and verse 17. James chapter 1 and verse 17. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above. 1:01:59 Coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. >> [clears throat and cough] >> The Father of lights in him 1:02:18 there is no variation. There's no shifting shadow. So, in the front of this podium it is written let us perfect let us press on to perfection. So, what is perfection? It's a 1:02:41 quality of our spiritual life. And the quality of our spiritual life gradually increases then we tend to go towards perfection. That is the spiritual growth. In today's world every company is 1:03:02 competing because they want to survive first of all and then they want to beat other companies. So, they keep on improving the quality of the product. Like it's a digital product, Apple products. 1:03:21 Yeah, they have gone far ahead in quality. It doesn't come overnight or with casual work. One has to keep on working working working to bring out the quality. Or if I want to share a common example 1:03:43 KFC chicken I go to any corner of this world KFC shop and they maintain the same quality. Why people they go? Because you can be sure of the quality. There's no variation. So, one way to 1:04:06 say that our God is perfect is 17th verse where there is no variation. There's no variation. So, in our lives also if you identify 1:04:23 where all there are variations and try to reduce the variations, reduce reduce reduce we can grow. We can press on towards perfection. God wants to do that. 1:04:40 In Isaiah chapter 40 we read God's plan for the new covenant life. God wants to remove all the variations. 1:04:56 So, how he removes the variation? Fourth verse how he prepares the way for the Lord. Third verse is prepare the way for the Lord. And fourth verse let every valley be lifted up. >> [clears throat and cough] 1:05:14 >> The first thing God wants to do is let every valley be lifted up. And every mountain and hill be made low. And let the rough ground become plain. And the rugged terrain a broad 1:05:34 valley. Or we can say all the rough be made smooth. All the crooked ways be made straight. That we read it is fulfilled at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as we read in the book of Luke. 1:05:53 Before John Baptist John the Baptist when he started his ministry this work was done. So, that the way is created for Jesus Christ to come into this world. Now, how can we apply this verse? Take for example in a family. 1:06:12 The first thing God wanted to do is to fill up the valleys. The family the wife may feel oh, I'm useless. I'm not able. I'm not uh like this. 1:06:30 Feel depressed cast down. That's like a valley. When Jesus came as we saw in the morning about the verse from Isaiah we read in Luke chapter 4. The first thing he wants to concentrate 1:06:50 is on the valley. He wants to bring down the people uh bring the people from down to up. Healing the broken hearted. And making the blind to see. So, in the family how you can 1:07:09 reduce the variations. Encourage the ministry of encouragement is filling the valley. Sometimes one of your children may be feeling very inferior because of the scoldings in the school or in the family. 1:07:28 We got so much used to you're a useless fellow. We say and then when he grows up we question why are you useless? So, who is the cause for his inferiority complex? Inferiority complex is like a valley. God doesn't want his children to have 1:07:47 inferiority complex. That I can't do. I can't go. I can't go for interview. I won't get this job. I won't get good marks. It's not not possible not possible. No. When we ask some questions people feel I may not write tell the 1:08:02 right answer. If I say this answer what others will think about me. That's also a valley. God does not want that. So, in a family if somebody is discouraged cast down, how can we fill up the valley? Yeah, God wanted to do that work in our 1:08:18 family. Sometimes there may be mountains and hills as we saw in the question answer shine session. Husband is very controlling. Very harsh in his words. It's like a mountain. People are afraid. 1:08:37 Children are afraid to talk to dad. They are free to talk to mom. And because of the fear they do so many things wrong. They say I have done out of fear. It's mount like a mountain. God wants to make it flat so that the variation is removed. 1:08:56 And children some of them may be crooked or rough. God wants to make everything. So, reducing the variation is becoming perfect or becoming a quality Christians quality disciples. 1:09:14 In our church we stress on quality not on quantity. We are not happy that so many people are coming to our church, but it is there in the flesh. But God sees the quality. How the quality of the Christian life a disciple's life in the family, 1:09:28 in the workplace. We heard so many examples the last session. The quality of a person. If he gives bribe and gets a job, yeah, he's also a Christian, but quality is not good. Whatever he proclaims 1:09:47 and whatever he does, there's a variation. So, variation is addressed in this book. James is addressing. And in James, many places you can read the verse perfect. Even sin is also perfected. That verse 1:10:06 he's using. The lust conceives. It brings forth sin, and the when sin is perfect, it brings death. So, and perfect law. Look into the perfect law. That's also he's telling. 1:10:24 One who looks deep into the perfect law. And the perfect wisdom, perfect gift which comes from heaven. So many places he shares about the perfection. So, it is God's will that 1:10:43 in our lives the variations are reduced. And we grow in our spiritual life. We grow in our spiritual life. I will Yeah, in the very fourth verse, James 1:4. 1:11:02 Let endurance have its perfect result. So, that you may be perfect. That you may be complete. That you will lack nothing. That is God's purpose for every one of us. That's our faith. Lord, I can grow. Might be it may take It It may take 1:11:22 time, but am I in the process? Am I on the way towards this perfection, achieving, pressing towards the perfection. And he talks first of all, we need to have the 1:11:41 We need to avoid the variation in our mind. Eighth verse, being a double-minded man, unstable. There's a lot of variation in our mind. We are not focused. A double-minded man means the home I live in one way, the church 1:11:59 in one way, and outside the world, I'm a different person. A double-minded man. We have been hearing about hypocrisy. Morning, Zach was telling acting. Hypocrisy and partiality, many times it is mentioned. James is mentioning. 1:12:17 I thought like this way. When you are divided inside, it is hypocrisy. When you are divided in your external, treating how you treat other persons, it is partiality. In English, 1:12:35 integer means whole numbers, 1 2 3 4, integers. And a different group, fractions, 1 by 2, 1 by 4, half, quarter, 1/8, these are all fractions. Divided numbers. So, if you are divided, we are not 1:12:54 integers. From integer only the word integrity comes. A man of integrity. A man of integrity is not divided. But since we were born in sin and this world, we are divided. And God wants to 1:13:13 make us one, undivided. Undivided is pressing towards perfection. There's no scattering. It's all focused. So, that's why he says double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 1:13:31 He says unstable in all his ways. So, first we have to make sure whether I have made a commitment to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. We often stress in the church wholehearted disciple. Are we wholehearted Christians? 1:13:49 Wholehearted means not divided, but integrity, wholehearted, wholesome, full, complete. My goal is not divided. I don't want to live for this world. It's already settled. I'm no more struggle on that. I want to follow the Lord. 1:14:08 Already I have committed my life to the Lord. I want to do his perfect will. Be it marriage, be it job, be it in my business, be it in anything, even in the church. Lord, I want to do your will. Have you made that commitment? 1:14:25 Maybe I don't become perfect when I make that commitment, but at least I have set the way. I have set a goal. Yeah, that is my goal, Lord. I want to follow. I want to pursue. If I don't know my goal, sometimes I used to call 1:14:44 somebody as a volunteer and Yeah. Would you come, dear brother, as a volunteer? Yeah. Exodus, come. Yeah. Sometimes it is risky to have some names in the t-shirt. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. So, 1:15:04 he's standing here. It's okay. Yeah. Yeah. So, 1:15:22 in front you have a textile shop. In the back you have a leather shop, shoe, chappal shop. And on your right you have a medical shop. On the left you have a hotel. 1:15:41 Now, move. >> [laughter] >> Initially, why you were not able to move? I was thinking on Thinking. Then why you move to the left side? Hungry. Hungry. Yeah. Thank you. 1:16:04 Yeah. Some people I have tested, they don't move. They keep standing because they don't know where to go. Because there's no need. He feels hungry or recently he thought he should go to the hotel. >> [laughter] 1:16:21 >> Something is there. So, he wanted food. He knows the need, so he's moving. Suppose somebody is having stomach pain or headache, where will he move? He will not think. Immediately he say he will say I'm going towards the medical 1:16:36 shop. Or somebody chappal or shoe is torn, feeling very bad. He will immediately move to the leather shop. So, the need that we feel drives us 1:16:53 towards the that particular direction. So, you may not have reached the shop yet, but you are approaching. So, what is our need? Have you made it very clear? Have I understood my need in my life? So, the need 1:17:12 decides your goal. If you want to become a great man in this world, I think coming to church and telling all spiritual life this and that and all, it's not relevant. You come for some other purpose. Some recognition, very difficult to find 1:17:26 get recognition in the world, but in the church it is easy. So, what's the motive we come to the church? Do I have my need? Do I see the variation in me where I have to uh work out. So, 1:17:44 there are at least three things James is telling where we have variations. Number one is partiality. I told you, when I'm divided inside, it is hypocrisy. When I'm divided in my treatment outside with the people, 1:18:03 I'm not uh focused. I treat somebody very nice way, and I treat somebody in a very poor way. I'm showing partiality. Based on some things. So, we read in James eighth verse, 1:18:25 James 1:8, it says a being double-minded man unstable in all his ways. And ninth verse, let a brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position. Humble brother, he is trying to fill up the valley. Humble brother means it may be because 1:18:44 of education, or it may it may be because of any reasons, but he can be happy. He can glory in his high position because God has made him as his child. And he has made you as part of this church. You are a member of the body of 1:19:01 Christ. You are saved by washed by the precious blood of Christ. Even though I'm humble, God has done a work in me. So, I need not feel that I am not good good for nothing. Valley is filled. And 1:19:18 rich man is to glory in his humiliation. Rich man is to glory in humiliation means originally he was arrogant because of his richness. And because God allowed some situation in his life where he is brought down, the hill is brought down. 1:19:35 He's humiliated. He can Richman is he can glory. Because he's brought low. And he will no more glory in his riches. So like that he talks about the 1:19:53 rich and the poor. Might be he has seen in the early apostolic church James has seen how people are treated in different different ways because of the richness or poorness. Yeah. Who are the rich people? We read that 1:20:11 the second chapter entire chapter is on this variation, partiality. How people are treating people in different different way. I'll just show one picture. Yeah. It's like No, you want to pour the water 1:20:30 and water instead of pouring at the middle it is scattered. This is variation. In technically they say it's a normal curve. These are the variations or deviation from the target value. Imagine you want to pour the water here. 1:20:46 There is a plant here. And when you pour from here it all gets dispersed. So here it's all waste and very little water is flowing here. That's a variation. Originally our lives are like that with lot of variation. 1:21:04 And many companies try to find out the ways and means in a small way how to how can they reduce the variation? They bring down this line. Some small practice they do and bring down the variation. Might be one machine is a old machine, they want to 1:21:21 change it, tighten it. And they are able to reduce the variation. They give training to the people and very good workers trained workers again variations are reduced. Like that they keep on reducing the variations. And now this is another picture where 1:21:37 you are pouring the water from above and directly it falls down here. All the variations are reduced. All the variations are reduced. So we see the life of Jesus. His full aim was not my will 1:21:55 my father's will. There was no variation. In 17th verse we read there is no shifting shadow. See my height doesn't vary much. I have grown. But morning when I see my shadow very big. 1:22:13 Noon time if I see my shadow very small. Again 3:00 it increases in size. It's shifting shadow. There's no uh reduction of variation. It is varying. So here it says God is a perfect God. We read in 17th verse 1:22:32 with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. There's no change in him. In Jesus Christ also it is said in Hebrews 13 we read he is the same unchanging Jesus. In our changes yesterday, today and forever is unchanging. 1:22:52 There's a good chorus also. He is the same unchanging Jesus. He's the same unchanging Jesus. He wants us also to become like that. And Jesus said in no occasion I will do my own will. And I saw the first picture 1:23:10 doing the will, my own will from God's will. Variations are there. Even though I am born again, coming to the church my compromise is the cause for variation. Okay, let me do that. Do that. Do that. We all are like that but we all 1:23:26 have hope that is working out our salvation. Lord little by little day by day he's changing me, changing me, changing me. Transformation. He's changing me into his image. Lord, the way I speak the way I treat people 1:23:45 Lord, I want to be like you, Lord. I want to do the will of God. That is the spiritual growth. And in the second chapter I told you he says do not follow I'll just read the two verses. Do not hold your faith in our glorious 1:24:04 Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favor- favoritism. For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes and you space special attention to the 1:24:18 one who is wearing fine clothes and say you sit here in a good place and to the poor man you say stand over there or sit down in my footstool. Have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives? How strong words he is using. 1:24:35 So I was thinking in this passage who are these rich people? May not be based on money. May not be based on property. But there are certain things here the word of God points out. For example, in the sixth verse James chapter 2 and verse 6 1:24:54 if you despise others you are rich. If you despise others you are rich. Some area you are you feel you are rich. That's why you despise others. Might be somebody struggling with some sin. Sincerely want to live a Christian life 1:25:13 but struggling struggling and you despise. You become rich. You think you are rich in spiritual life. You are rich in holy life. And you are despising others. And the same verse 6 if you oppress others you are a rich man. 1:25:28 Oppression. Emotionally you can oppress. By our look we can oppress. By our words we can oppress. Oppress, suppress. It is a devil who oppresses. And God will never do that. All who go to God 1:25:48 he will not oppress. He will not suppress us. He wants us to grow in everything. And in verse 4 chapter 2 and verse 4 if we judge others that's a sign that we are rich. 1:26:07 Because we think that we have judged ourselves and we have come out of all that and there's no need for us to judge ourselves and we judge others. If I feel that Lord there are so many areas I have not to judge. Yet Lord I am having 1:26:23 variations in my thought, in my words, in my motives. Lot of variation from your will, from your perfect will. If I start judging myself I will not have time to judge others. I read a some small text somebody has sent. 1:26:42 If I am busy in serving others I will not have time to judge others. Why I find fault? Why I accuse? Why I judge others? Because I am not involved in serving others. Think of Mother Teresa. She was so busy in serving others. 1:27:01 She never has had any time to accuse others or always I remember once she went to a rich man and she was asking help for the poor people. So many people had come to her place and that man was chewing beetle 1:27:20 and he spat on her on her dress and face and all. You know how she responded? Sir you have given me what I deserve. Now give me something what these poor people deserve. 1:27:38 That really moved that man. So in this situation who is really rich? Rich in She never she never judged that person. And that man really it moved her his heart and then he started helping regularly and he said I am very sorry for what I 1:27:55 have done it. He had a change in his life. So we are judge we are rich when we judge others. And verse 7 when we defame others defame. What is the meaning of defame? 1:28:12 Somebody's name you want to spoil. Without verifying things we pass judgment and we say this person has done it. This is bad. Defaming others. With what we face he will come and face others. You have to be very careful before we 1:28:33 speak bad about others. Defaming. And the fifth verse you are partial. You will show partiality. I am rich. And the last one 13th verse 1:28:51 if I don't have mercy if I don't have mercy on others I feel I am rich. And the second chapter entire chapter is on this particular partiality where we show partiality between rich 1:29:10 and poor. Maybe any basis. And you know in 12th and 13th verse at the end of telling ninth verse also if you are showing partiality you are committing sin. And if you have failed in one thing, you 1:29:29 have failed in the entire law. And 12th verse he says you James chapter two and verse 12. So speak and act so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. Speak and act Lord one day I will be judged Lord. 1:29:48 So I want to speak and act remembering that I love to face before the judgment seat. The questions answer session. And one question brother was answering individually we love to give account to the Lord. Every one of us. 1:30:03 Nobody I can take Lord this person supports me so shall I bring him he will testify about me he will get a she will get a give a good certificate no God says no leave everybody and you come alone. You have to face. I'm not 1:30:20 discouraging or I'm doing but the relation after the partiality he says speak and act as though as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. 13th verse for judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy 1:30:36 mercy triumphs over judgment. So after the partiality sin it talks about judgment. The same way there's another place fifth chapter and 19th verse fifth chapter 19th verse 1:30:54 my brethren sorry ninth verse uh fifth chapter ninth verse he says again he talks about the rich 1:31:14 fifth verse first come now you rich weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Like that he continues and ninth verse he says do not complain brother against one another because the judge is standing right at the door. 1:31:29 He talks about judgment. Whenever apostles talk about judgment something we have to look into. Paul says about sin of adultery we have to give account the judgment seat. So wherever judgment comes we have to take extra care and meditate Lord I want 1:31:48 to cleanse in this area. I want to cleanse in this area. And the second area about the speech he devotes the entire third chapter to reduce all the variations in our speech. Reduce all the variations in our speech. 1:32:09 Chapter three and verse two. We stumble in many ways if anyone does not stumble in what he says is a perfect man able to bridle the whole body as well. So how can we present towards perfection by taking care of how we speak? 1:32:26 That's why it says be slow to speak. How to be careful in our speech how to cleanse ourselves how to present towards perfection in the speech area. Slow to speak. Being careful whether this will hurt the other person 1:32:46 whether this will defame the other person whether this will condemn the other person discourage other person like the silver seven times it is put inside the furnace and taken out again taken out. Not only speech the way we write to 1:33:02 others emails we have to be we have to judge ourselves. Entire chapter third chapter it talks about the tongue. Now in relationship to the speech he says >> [clears throat] 1:33:21 >> we need wisdom. See the variation he's telling in second chapter and verse 10. Second chapter and verse uh sorry third chapter verse 10. Same mouth come both blessing and cursing. 1:33:41 That's a variation. How can such variation be variation can be there in his mouth? Cursing and blessing. Brethren brothers these things ought not to be this way. Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and 1:33:57 bitter water? He's giving an example. If you see a fountain or a well or a bore well where first five minutes sweet water next five minutes bitter water next five minutes sweet water next five minutes bitter water will it come like 1:34:09 that? No. Not at all possible. Then how it is possible that in our mouth so much of variation is there. Lord in my speech I want to be careful Lord. I want to be very careful Lord. That's why we need be slow to 1:34:28 speak. And while talking about the speech he says do not get angry. Mostly our anger is revealed in our speech the way we speak. Yeah. And in this speech he says if victory will it give olive berries? 1:34:48 Have you seen? No victory is very consistent every season it gives only victory. Doesn't say oh I forgot I should I I should give victory I have given olive berries I'm sorry next season you come I'll give victories will it tell like 1:35:02 that? No. No variation. The same way he talks about our mouth. And immediately talks about the wisdom. Wisdom. There are three kinds of wisdom worldly wisdom and carnal wisdom and devilish wisdom 1:35:20 15th verse. And 17th verse is in relation to our speech. The wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure. And when the wisdom comes my speech will be pure. 1:35:39 Is there any impure words coming? Impure words which is not desired by God. Matthew 12:36 he says every word useless word we speak we have to give account. And how we speak. That's why in the Holy Spirit anointing 1:35:58 what's the sign? He controls our tongue. The family how a husband speaks to his wife how a wife speaks to her husband how you speak to your children children how you address your parents how you talk to your parents. Lord lot of scope is there. 1:36:15 I can work out work out work out all the variations I reduce reduce reduce I want to my speech to be Lord according to your will perfect will. Jesus spoke like that. He spoke with compassion. And he spoke whenever he spoke people were 1:36:32 wondering how he got this wisdom. His own people they were admiring. He's from Galilee how he could speak with so much of wisdom. Because his speech was like that. So our words are to be pure first. Then it should bring peace when we speak 1:36:51 there should be peace there should be unity. Blessed are the peacemakers how can you become a peacemaker by your speech? Lord give me wisdom when I speak there's some confusion when I speak that comes disunity. Lord give me Lord your wisdom from above 1:37:07 which is peaceable which is gentle. Jesus taught us Matthew chapter 11 come to me I am gentle and humble and learn from me. So we have to go to Jesus to learn how to speak gently. Reasonable 1:37:24 yieldable full of mercy and good fruits unwavering no variation and without hypocrisy. In some other version no partiality and no hypocrisy. There is no division inside and no division in how I treat people outside. Lord I want to become like you. 1:37:44 So that's it about the speech about the tongue let your yes be yes and no be no. Telling lies it's a variation. White lies black lies so many lies are there it's all variation. Lord I don't want any variation Lord in my speech. 1:38:01 Please give me your power Lord and it is not possible to live with our own strength. It is not possible but Lord I need your power. Give me Lord your power. Transform me Lord change me Lord. You write your laws in my heart Lord. 1:38:16 And the third thing we read in the fourth chapter it is the word world and God. Variations. World and God means 1:38:34 am I loving God or the world? And who are the adulterers and adulteresses? It is not uh adultery word is not applied to bachelors. Um married people it is fornication. 1:38:52 But this adultery is I love the Lord I also love the world. I love my husband I also love my neighbor. It's adultery. So that variation. Fourth verse and when you love this world how can the 1:39:11 love of the Father be in you? What is this world? Lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, pride of life, ego, and greediness, what all my eyes I want to see, I want to possess. Possession, pride, and lust in the flesh. 1:39:30 That's why 8th verse, 4th chapter, 8th verse. How to have remove this variation? Chapter 4 and verse 8. That's the solution. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you 1:39:46 double-minded. When I'm a double-minded, sometimes I feel I should love the world, I should become great in the world. The world can give me comfort, pleasure, and that gives me meaning in my life. My friends give me meaning in my life, 1:40:00 not God. Who told you that? Satan. It's God who gives meaning in my life. You are not defined by what other people say. You are defined by what God thinks about you. That's the real me, not what you you think about me. So, purify your hearts, you 1:40:16 double-minded. Mourn, weep, humble yourselves. And that's the way we can cleanse ourselves. And for this, the spirit of God is very jealous. The spirit of God is very jealous. That's what we read. He's very jealous. 1:40:35 That is, he doesn't want us to live for this world. He wants us to live for God. He's very jealous of us. So, he gives more. We read that in 4th chapter and 6th verse. He gives greater grace grace. Therefore, it says God is opposed to the proud, but 1:40:53 gives grace to the humble. And therefore, submit that to God. Submit therefore to God. See, we know God gives grace to the humble people. And it's also true, God gives grace so that you can obey. If you are obedient to God, then you can 1:41:10 resist the devil. That's why 7th verse. Obey obey God. Submit to God. Then resist the devil, he will flee from you. Some of us Some of us feel the devil's work is still in my family. Devil is working even still with my children. They become rebellious. I'm 1:41:26 resisting resisting, it's not going. My brother sisters, check the same verse, the first phrase. Am I submitting myself to God? Complete submission to the will of God, to the perfect will of God. If I have committed myself, the devil 1:41:40 will flee from you. Devil doesn't have any place to work in the family which is wholly committed to God, submitted to God. Submission to authority. No rebelliousness. No disobedience. Let us start our life 1:41:58 towards this goal. Goal may be far away, but are we in the track? Like Exodus boy, he started moving towards the hotel. He has identified his need and started moving. If he has not identified, he'll be stagnant in our spiritual life. 1:42:13 Lord, show me my need, Lord. Where I have to work work out. Let me work out my salvation and press on towards perfection. May God help us. God is So, whether the desire that I have that I should follow this life is less than God's desire. The 1:42:31 spirit of God is very jealous that he gives lot of grace. Lot of grace. Humble my humble yourselves. So that you are able to obey to God's word. Obedience to these truths without the grace of God, without the strength of God is very difficult. But when we 1:42:49 receive the grace of God, this life becomes easier. Jesus says, "Take my yoke upon you. It is soft and light. It's not difficult. With the help of God, with the power of the Holy Spirit, I can walk this life. I can press on 1:43:04 towards perfection. May God help us. And help us to achieve this goal and to press on towards perfection. Amen. Brothers and sisters, we have 1:43:41 come to the end of the conference. At the end of the conference, almost every time we feel we wish it had gone for some more time. I I used to feel that every time we be it uh 1:44:01 youth conference or our church conferences, every time I used to feel bad about the last day and the last session. I would always wish that it would 1:44:20 continue. So, I'm sure some of you may be feeling that. But we have other things to do. So, we can't be having conference all the time. I think in heaven we may be having continual conferences. 1:44:39 I don't know. I've never been there yet. >> [laughter] >> So, we look forward to that glorious uh gathering of the saints with our heavenly Father. 1:44:59 And since Jesus has taught us to pray our Father, we all will be having only one Father. And and I mean, my perception is there 1:45:18 when we get to heaven, your father here on this earth will be your brother. And your mother on this earth will be your sister because you will be and I will be having one Father. 1:45:37 So, we will all be brothers and sisters. Not father, son, and mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, brother-in-law, and all that. So, God has called us to be a family. And God is working towards that through 1:45:57 his Holy Spirit to gather us together and make us his people. We heard many things in this conference and let it not be like one of those old conferences where we came, heard, 1:46:17 and then we look forward to another conference. But what has happened in between these two conferences? Last year we had one. Now we finished another. Have you gauged your progress? How has it been 1:46:37 between the last conference and this conference? Has there been any growth? Has the graph gone up even though it is wavy, if not a straight line, but at least it Is it going upwards? 1:46:56 Or it's the other way around. And there is no condemnation in the church, but examine yourselves, brothers and sisters, and see how it's going and how it has gone. 1:47:13 And let us work out and take God's word seriously. James says, "Don't just be hearers of God's word, but be e- doers so that you will not deceive yourselves." 1:47:31 So, let us take God's word seriously. And you see some brothers next year, if you see them, some brothers and sisters also, 1:47:48 they would have gone far ahead of you. And some may be still stagnant. Some may have gone down also. It can happen, but it all depends on one thing. Today 1:48:07 we have heard that, but I would like to reiterate the secret of continual Christian growth. And that we read from Jesus' life. We have heard it heard it many times in 1:48:25 this church that Jesus himself said in one sentence. His biogra- his biography, autobiography. That is in John 6:38. We have heard it many times. Brother Zach has told that. 1:48:44 He said, "I have come down from heaven not to do my will, but to the will of him who sent me." And until the last day on earth also, he said, "Not my will, but thine be done." So, if we keep that in mind 1:49:02 and live every day with that motto being uppermost in our mind, I think we will by the by the time we come to the next conference, we will have made a lot of progress. We would not be like this 1:49:21 stagnant, but definitely there'll be growth. And we are so thankful that God has given us shepherds in our churches. And especially I want to 1:49:40 express our thanks on behalf of the elders and the facilitators and on behalf of the CFC churches in Karnataka to our dear brothers Vincent, Victor, and brother Parisuttam 1:49:59 for taking the time to come here and share what was what God was pressing on their heart. And they have shared and these brothers have been serving the Lord for decades, 1:50:19 at least three to four decades now, if I'm not wrong. And God has blessed them and made them a blessing. He has tested them and proven them and given them ministry 1:50:37 not only in the local churches, but also over many churches, so that they can go around blessing, challenging, encouraging, and building up the body of Christ. So, we want to 1:50:56 express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you, brothers, and for your families. >> [applause] [applause] [applause] 1:51:25 >> Yeah, we look forward again to seeing them. Uh God willing, in his time. So, thank you so much, brothers, for sparing the time for us. And uh uh 1:51:45 sharing what was pressing on your heart. We praise God for you and for your families that the Lord will take care of your uh health and uh provide for all your needs, and 1:52:03 bless you in a greater measure in the years ahead and bless your families also. And shall we all stand up and give thanks to the Lord and close this meeting. I would like to close by reading one 1:52:30 verse from Hebrews 13:7 from the Living Bible. It says, "Remember your leaders who have taught you the word of God. 1:52:47 Think of all the good that has come from their lives and try to trust the Lord as they do." Let's honor them and trust the Lord as they do. 1:53:06 And give glory to God. Father, we bless you and thank you. Worship your majesty for your great and greatly to be praised. Lord Jesus, we thank you 1:53:24 that you have blessed us with spiritual manner and nourished our souls these two days through these dear brothers, your servants. Lord, we pray that you'll 1:53:42 continue to be with them. Bless them with strength in their body and spirit. Give them good health and refresh them always, and fill them with your Holy Spirit, and make them a greater blessing in the years ahead. 1:54:01 Provide for all their needs and bless their families. We thank you for all the families and individuals gathered here. We pray, Father, that your blessing will be upon us, that we will take our Christian life more seriously, 1:54:17 that we will not just be hearers merely, but also doers of your word, so that we will not deceive ourselves. Dear Father, we ask you that you will pour out your spirit upon us, that you will 1:54:36 strengthen us in the inner man and make us what you want us to be, pure and without any spot or wrinkle till the day that you come. Brothers and sisters, take this 1:54:55 opportunity and express your thanks and praise to the Lord for all that you have received. Bless you, heavenly Father. Thank you that you are not a disappointment. We praise you. You are on the throne, Lord, that you 1:55:13 are working in us to will and to do of your good pleasure. We surrender ourselves to you and we pray that you will work in us, Lord. Break us, melt us, mold us, fill us, and make us what you want us to be. 1:55:33 We surrender ourselves unconditionally into your hands. Lord Jesus, be glorified. We pray in Jesus' precious name. Amen. Amen. The meeting is over. The conference is over. And we will have the announcements. You 1:55:55 may be seated, please.
