Voices Jesus I worship you. Jesus I >> Jesus [Music] I worship 24:49 you. >> Jesus I >> Jesus I worship you my God and my king. Brothers and sisters, let's continue 25:46 with a heart and attitude that has a longing to give God the glory that belongs to him. Give him the praise and adoration 26:02 that is due unto his holy name. If each of us could 26:21 just carry this cry in our hearts all our days, Jesus, I worship you with heart and soul and mind. I cry, I worship you, my God and my king. He alone is the name above every name, 26:41 worthy of worship and honor and praise. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He loves us with an everlasting love. Brothers and sisters, 26:59 the longing is that the veil will be lifted. We will cleanse his glory and we will feed ourselves on the love that he longs to pour out into every hungry and thirsty heart and soul. As we sang, we have an anchor that keeps 27:20 the soul fasten to the rock which cannot move. Grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love. It is safely mowed till the storm withstand is well secured by my Savior's hand. And the cables which are passed 27:39 from his heart to mine can defy any blast through strength divided. I want to read from Psalm 18 this morning. I love you, oh Lord, 28:03 my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised and I am saved 28:22 from my enemies. In my distress, I called upon the Lord. I cried to the Lord for help. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry for help before him came into his ears. 28:41 Then the earth shook and quakd. The foundations of the mountains were trembling. And he was and they were shaken because he was angry. He bowed the heavens also and came down. He flew upon the wings of the wind. The Lord also thundered in the heavens. 29:01 the Most High uttered his voice. He sent from on high and he took me and he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the 29:15 day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay. He brought me also into a broad place. He rescued me because he delighted in me. Brothers and sisters, this is what the Lord has done and this is who he is. He's mighty to save. 29:31 He is a rock and a refuge and a redeemer. In every trial, no matter what we're going through, we can trust in him because it is not possible that his words will not come to pass. It's not possible that his love will fail. 29:46 Let's lift up our voices and our hearts and give thanks and praise to him and trust him even today that he'll meet with us. Loving father, we thank you and praise you Lord for your great love. Yes, Lord, you're worthy of praise and 30:00 glory and honor and worship, Lord. Lord, every knee in heaven and earth shall bow and every tongue shall confess that you are Lord. It's our privilege to do that now, Lord. To gladly confess that you are the King of Kings. You are the 30:13 Savior. You are the righteous one. You're the name above all names. You're the name, the only name in heaven and earth by which we can be saved, Lord. Yes, Lord. We want to come to the Father through you, Lord. That is the only way 30:26 we want to come to you even today, Lord, and rejoice in your presence and give you praise and thanks and acknowledge that you have done all things well. Thank you and praise you, Lord. Thank you that you love us and you lifted us 30:38 up out of the mighty clay and cleansed us and clothed us in your royal robes, Lord, and you filled us with your Holy Spirit, Lord. We thank you and praise you. We thank you for the joy of the Lord that's our strength. We thank you 30:50 for the peace that passes understanding, Lord. Yes, Lord. We thank you that you've clothed us in your righteousness. You've justified us. We thank you and praise you, Lord. You've done all things well. Even today, Lord, we want to be 31:02 hungry and thirsty for you. We believe, Lord, that you'll surely meet with us. You'll feed us. We thank you. We commit ourselves into your hands. We pray in your mighty name, Jesus. Amen. Brothers and sisters, please be seated. 31:20 Yeah. Yeah. Before I go ahead, I just want to also pray for brother John. He's in Kakinada. He's ministering the word over there. Let's just pray for him. Loving father, Lord, we thank you and praise you. Uh that you do all things well. And 31:35 we especially want to commit brother John into your hands as he ministers the word. Bless him mightily, Lord, and all those who've gathered there. We pray in your mighty name, Jesus. Amen. Brothers and sisters, we can look at our 31:50 memory verses. Let's make a conscious decision once more to repeat these verses. Hold on to them. Memorize them. Bible says, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against 32:10 you." And that is what the word of God will do if we hide it in our hearts. Last week, the verse was a command from Philippians chapter 3 and verse 8. Repeat after me. Philippians 3:8. I count all things 32:31 to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Amen. 32:48 And uh for this week we have a promise. Repeat after me. Galatians chapter 3 13 and 14. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law 33:07 so that we would receive the promise of the spirit through faith. Say that again. Galatians chapter 3 13 and 14. Christ redeemed us 33:28 from the curse of the law so that we would receive the promise of the spirit through faith. Amen. Um so brothers and sisters 33:45 let's have listening ears and hungry hearts look up to the smiling face of our father who wants to give us much more than we want to receive. Let's trust that he'll speak to us. But we want to hear God's word from brother 34:03 Charles today. It's our joy and our privilege to do that. Brother Charles, can you please come and share what's on your heart? Would you turn your Bibles with me to 34:32 go? John's Gospel. John's Gospel chapter 5 verse 25. John 5:25. We read in scripture a few times 34:59 that Jesus using the words truly truly I say to you and mostly he uses that phrase in John's gospel. It comes in John's gospel more than 20 times 35:16 when Jesus says truly truly and he's emphasizing something that we need to give heed to listen very carefully. He's not just preaching like 35:35 other times. Blessed are the pure in heart and blessed are the meek and things like that. But he is specifically emphasizing something here which we need to listen carefully 35:52 and he says truly truly I say to you an hour is coming. This is another phrase he used a couple of times elsewhere in chapter 4 when he was speaking to the Samaritan 36:10 woman. He was telling an hour is coming and now is he says and here also he says an hour is coming. That is he's speaking about the future hour future day when it is coming. And then he says and now is that means he's 36:29 speaking about the future and also he's speaking about the present where he says when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God and those who hear shall live. So he is speaking about two resurrections here as 36:49 we read further down in verse 28. Do not marvel at this. For an hour is coming. This is that what he spoke in 25. An hour is coming that is in the future 37:06 in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice. So he in this one verse he's speaking about two events. An hour is coming. That's in the future. 37:26 And now is that's right now. And what is that? That the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God. And those who hear shall live. Here in this verse, he is speaking presently 37:43 to the people around him. He's speaking an hour is coming and now is that the dead people sitting here around me standing here. He's speaking to them. The dead ones among you 38:02 shall hear the voice of the son of God. And those of you who are dead in your sins and trespasses, if you hear my voice, you shall live. This is the meaning of what he's saying 38:19 here. And then he says, for just as the father has life in himself, even so he gave to the son also to have life in himself. And he gave him authority to execute judgment 38:36 because he is the son of man. Do not marvel at this what we read earlier. An hour is coming in which all those who are in the tombs. Now he's speaking about those who are already dead and are buried in the tombs. He's speaking about 38:55 them. That hour is coming. those people who um are in the tombs shall hear his voice and shall come forth from the tomb. Those who did the good deeds to a 39:14 resurrection of life. He is speaking about two kinds of resurrections here. One is resurrection of life and those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment. So 39:32 the Bible is very clear there are going to be two judgments, two resurrections. One is the resurrection of the righteous. That is when Jesus comes physically at his second coming. All the living and 39:51 the dead. Those who have believe repented believed and are following him and those who repented and believed and followed him. And those who are in the grave, they will precede us. And then we will follow them and we 40:10 will be caught up in the air together with Jesus Christ. That is the first resurrection. And that is for the righteous. The the judgment of the righteous. And the judgment of the wicked will be after 1,000 40:27 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth. that we read in Revelations that at the end there will be judgment seat set up in heaven. A great white throne judgment 40:45 where all the wicked will be judged. There are blessed are that's what the Bible says. Blessed are those who enter into the first resurrection. The second resurrection there is no hope, no 41:04 chance. It's only resurrection of the evildoers, the wicked who will be judged and they will be condemned and sent to where they belonged. Because when they were on earth, when 41:23 God was speaking to them, when Jesus was speaking to them, when he was on earth, and even now when God is speaking to us through his servants, we don't listen. We harden our hearts. We say, "Okay, this is another. This is not for me. 41:39 This is for that brother or that sister." And I justify myself and go like that. It is for such people that the Lord is warning those who hear my voice 41:55 they will follow me and they shall live. And we read in Ephesians chapter 2 verse one. We know that well-known verse. Ephesians chapter 2 verse one. And once 42:10 upon a time we were all like this. Here Paul says very clearly, "You were dead in your trespasses and sins." See once upon a time all of us sitting 42:27 here we were dead in our sins and trespasses and in which we walked formerly according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air of the spirit that is now working in the 42:47 sons of disobedience. We all were like that. And it says we formerly had our conversation um with them and the lust of our flesh, indulging in the desires of the flesh 43:06 and the mind and were by nature children of wroth even as the rest of the world. But God being rich in mercy. See this is one place where it says God is rich. It doesn't speak of it. God is rich in gold and diamonds and things like that, 43:25 but he's rich in mercy. Our God is rich in mercy because of his great love with which he loved us. Even 43:40 when we were dead in our transgressions, like we saw, we were all dead in our trans transgressions, in our trespasses and sins. All 44:00 unregenerated, unrepentant people were dead. as far as God is concerned are dead as far as God is concerned. And when we respond to his call and come to him in brokenness, in repentance and in 44:19 faith, and we acknowledge our sins to him and ask for his mercy, then he forgives us and cleanses us in his precious blood. And like John 1:12 it says as many as 44:37 received him to them he gave authority to become God's children. And when we come to him like that and he makes us his children. He gives us his spirit to dwell in our hearts so that we cry out to him as aba and father. He becomes our 44:56 dad and we are born into Christ's family and we become children of God. That is how a person becomes a child of God. So a person doesn't become a child of God by coming and sitting in church 45:15 meetings on Sundays just like you put your car in the garage. I mean or you go and sit in the garage and you expect to be a automobile. You won't become like that. Same way 45:33 when you come and sit in church meeting, I don't become a child of God. Unless I respond to it and act upon the word of God and hear his voice, then I shall live. As it says here, even when we were dead in our transgressions, he made us 45:53 alive together with Christ by grace you've been saved and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ. See, this is the privilege of the children of God. My dear brothers and sisters, when we 46:12 are born again, our citizenship is in heaven. We no longer belong to this world. Even though we are physically here spiritually, we are trans 46:30 transported as it were. We are transported and we are made to sit together with him in the heavenly places in Christ. Now a believer his place is not here on this 46:48 earth. Physically we are here but spiritually we must consider ourselves as citizens of heaven seated with Christ. This is the inheritance of the saints. My dear 47:07 brothers and sisters, look at earthly things and people and situations and circumstances from heaven's point of view because you're seated with Christ in the heavenly places according to this verse. 47:26 And it says further that in the same book chapter 5 verse14 it says for this reason 47:45 it says awake oh sleeper and rise arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you And uh this verse comes very nicely in the 48:01 message rendering. It says come out of your coffin. I like that translation. Instead of saying arise from the dead, 48:20 it says come out of your coffin. That means in a sense those who have not repented of their sins, those who have not acknowledged that they are sinners. Some people have such high opinion about their self-righteousness 48:37 that they think that there's nothing wrong with us with me. I have met some people like that more than one. And when I ask them, have you repented of your sins? They say I have not sinned. I have not committed any sin. 48:56 People have told me that and when I ask them have you told one lie at least in your life they say yes many. Then how can you say that you have you not sinned? This is just one example. And uh I was speaking to 49:14 my land lady once along with another brother when I was single. I was talking to her. We were talking to her and uh we speaking about repentance and she immediately you know shot at me 49:32 saying do you mean to say I'm a sinner? I felt like saying no how sorry Jesus didn't come for you. Now there are people who have such high thoughts about themselves about their self-righteousness. 49:47 They think what sin to them is robbing a bank or murdering somebody such gross things like that because of which people are behind bars 50:04 today. They think those crimes are sins, not these bad thoughts and bad attitudes and bad motives. They think these are not sins. These are all just you know in the Catholic thing 50:22 there are venial sins and mortal sins. So small sins and big sins. So all sin is sin as far as God is concerned because the word of God says all have sinned and come short of the glory of 50:40 God. So that includes everyone born under the son including Mary the mother of Jesus. She said my soul rejoices in God my savior. Who needs a savior? 50:58 Sinners need savior. And if that verse were to be written properly, if you think then it should have been written, all have sinned except Mary and John the Baptist 51:17 and Jesus Christ. And other than these three, all have sinned and come short of the glory. Doesn't say that. My Bible says all means all. From Adam till the last person to be born. We are all born in sin, lived in sin. 51:35 But one time came in our life where God met with us, convicted us of our sins and we repented and gave our lives to him. And here it says, "If you are living 51:53 among the dead people, awake, jump out of the coffin. In a few days, all of us will be put in coffins unless Jesus comes soon." So it says some of us are already in the 52:14 coffin. We don't know about that. We think we are alive but we are spiritually dead. So to such people the word of God says arise and awake you who sleeps and Christ will give you light. 52:33 And when we listen to this God's word rather than being tossed about here and there like this verse says in chapter 4 verse 14. There are some people who wherever they go they they agree with 52:52 that they listen oh this is a pastor this is a servant of God preaching and whatever he preaches is God's word but they don't exercise their their discernment to see whether what they this preacher 53:10 is preaching is from the word of God and in accordance with what Jesus and the apostles taught or he's adding something some psychology or some positive thinking or some selfhelp improvement 53:28 thing like that. There are some people they go to this church, that church or various churches everywhere they they're quite happy and content. But the people who know their God, it says in Daniel, they shall become strong and they shall do 53:48 exploits. And those of you who don't have discernment and you agree with everybody and any teaching to such people Paul says here that as a result and that is in chapter 54:05 um Ephesians chapter 4 Ephesians chapter 4 verse 14 he is speaking about uh I'll read verse 13 also. Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the 54:25 knowledge of the son of God to a mature man to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. God wants us to be mature men and women not be tossed about like babes. It says in the next verse, as a result, we are no 54:44 longer to be children tossed here then here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine. You see in different churches you hear different types of preaching. Some denominations they don't preach about 55:03 uh the Holy Spirit at all. They don't believe that the Holy Spirit and what the Holy Spirit's gifts are there today. They believe that in the first century they all seized. They are called secessionists and they don't believe in miracles. They 55:22 don't believe in healing. They don't believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There are denominations I don't want to mention them and you go and sit in their meetings it's more like 55:37 funeral meeting very silent and very solemn you can't even say hallelujah there they will look at you who is this fellow newcomer in our midst 55:54 even that is a not permitted in some churches just to say hallelujah or even to praise the Lord, say praise the Lord or even if you say amen in the middle of the prayer, they say amen only at the end of the prayer. And they're like that. And it says here 56:14 that as a result, we are no longer to be like children tossed here and there by waves and carried away by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness, in deceitful scheming, but 56:30 speaking the truth in love. We are to grow up in all aspects unto him. This is our calling to grow up to be in all aspects to be like Jesus Christ. That is the goal with which God deals 56:48 with each one of us. It says in Romans 8:28, we all know, most of us know that verse. God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love him. But verse 29, most people do not know. The reason why he's working all these things 57:07 out for our good is that so that we may be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Like this verse says here, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects unto Jesus Christ 57:26 who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies according to the proper working of each individual part causes the growth of the body for the building up 57:43 of itself in love. See, love is the one that edifies and builds us up. Not doctrines. Doctrines can divide us. But love covers multitude of sins. Not only our sins, but if I have divine love in my heart, I cover 58:03 the sins of others also. I don't go on tomtoming and exposing others. I hide it. I bury it. I don't let others know about it. Would you do that if your son or daughter did something 58:22 very shameful? Would you go and tomtom about your child to others? But others children, you have no problem doing that. So if you think we are a body part of the body of Christ belonging to 58:40 one another, we seek as far as possible to cover the nakedness or the weakness of other people around us. We don't go around broadcasting those things. and 59:00 John John's gospel we go back to the Gospel of John chapter 10 John chapter 10 verse 26 here Jesus is speaking about his sheep 59:18 he being the shepherd John 10:26 six. He's speaking to certain people there in Jerusalem, Jews gathered around him and they're 59:42 asking him, "How long will you 24? How long will you keep us in suspense if you are the Christ or the Messiah?" tell us plainly. And Jesus said, I told you and you do not believe the works. You do not 1:00:01 believe the works that I do in my father's name. These bear witness of me, but you do not believe because you are not of my sheep. Jesus knew clearly as to who are his sheep and who are not. And he tells 1:00:19 them, "You do not believe me in spite of all these things that are happening in front of your eyes. You do not believe me because you do not belong to me. You are not of my sheep." Then he says, "My sheep 1:00:38 hear my voice." He didn't say, "My sheep know my face." He didn't say that. He said, "My sheep hear my voice." Okay. In the first century when Jesus was 1:00:57 around, the disciples and others could hear his voice. But what about us 20 centuries later? His voice is what is written now. What is in our hands now? His word, written 1:01:14 word, that is his voice. Now we have it in our hands. Then we know if you know the word of God properly and correctly then you will hear his voice. And then he says my sheep hear my voice and I 1:01:33 know them and they follow me. See there is a mutual relationship here. My sheep hear my voice. and I know them 1:01:51 and they follow me. And many people quote the next verse saying, "See, this is eternal security." Jesus said, "I give them eternal life and they shall never perish and no one 1:02:09 shall snatch them out of my hands." But read it in context, brothers and sisters. Don't take one verse out of its context and make a doctrine out of it and say see this is this verse says like this I believe this. Don't just take one 1:02:26 verse out of its context. I'll show you one more verse further. It says here Jesus said my sheep hear my voice. I know them and they follow me. And verse 28 begins with and. I checked with other 1:02:43 other translations also in the original. It says that word and is there. In some translations I think they have left out that it says they follow me and I will give 1:02:59 eternal life to them not to everybody. Those who keep on hearing my voice, those who keep on following me, to them I give eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall 1:03:15 snatch them out of my hands, and my father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the father's hand, because I and the father are one. It is 1:03:33 as if God the Father is speaking through Jesus Christ on this earth. Because Jesus said, "All authority has been given to me." And he said, "Just as the father 1:03:50 raises the dead, so shall the Son of Man raise the dead. As the father judges, so the father has given all judgment to the son. What do we understand by this? 1:04:08 That the father and the son are one. They're one in essence. And I was watching a small WhatsApp clip the other day about 1:04:27 shepherd and sheep and uh I want you to watch that. It is a one minute clip where the um I mean some other people tried to call the sheep by name 1:04:45 and they tried and the sheep didn't even lift their heads to look at who is calling. It didn't even perk the ear to listen to what is being said. 1:05:00 So they failed. Then ultimately the shepherd of the sheep comes and he calls the sheep and the sheep they lifted their heads from grazing and they came running towards him. Please watch 1:05:18 that. No, it's just one minute video. >> This is exactly what the Bible's talking about in John 10:27. [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] 1:05:40 [Music] cat. [Music] [Laughter] 1:05:55 [Music] >> Look at them. Look at them. [Music] That's amazing. >> Isn't that amazing? 1:06:14 >> Yeah. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. [Applause] >> Oh my god. [Music] 1:06:41 This is the response of the sheep to the true shepherd. There are so many so-called shepherds around us in different places, but when you listen to them, you know this is not the voice of 1:06:59 my shepherd. For instance, go to Ephesians chapter 2. This is another thing what Martin Luther he propounded solid 1:07:19 means faith alone. But is it really true? Faith is never alone. You read that in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8. It says, "For by grace you have been saved 1:07:43 through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not as a result of works that no one should boast." They stop it right here. You see it says here that we 1:07:59 are saved by grace and by faith alone and not of ourselves. It is the gift of God not as a result of our good works but so that nobody should boast. It is all 1:08:18 purely the grace of God and your faith alone not works. Okay, they forget to read the next verse. It says, "For we are his workmanship." Means God has created us 1:08:34 for this purpose and that is for what? Created in Christ Jesus for good works. Not by good works we are saved, but we are saved 1:08:52 for good works. To do good works after we are saved, not because uh we want to go to heaven. No, because we are already forgiven. We are already saved. Because we are saved, not because of our works. As a result 1:09:11 in gratitude, out comes the fruit of the spirit. That is we are created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 1:09:31 See this work related salvation and faith repentance and faith salvation. You need to make proper distinction between the two. Our good works will not save us. The Bible says very clearly in Isaiah 1:09:49 chapter 64. It says our good works are like filthy rags and they cannot please God. And nobody is saved because of his good works, good deeds. Many people out in 1:10:07 the world, they always think that when my good deeds outweigh my bad deeds, then I am fit for heaven. God will take me. That is just the opposite of what the Bible says. The Bible says we are all o overloaded with sorry 1:10:24 we outweigh our our sins and iniquities outweigh our good works because because of them we cannot enter into God's kingdom because they are filthy rights before him. But God in his mercy sent Jesus to die as a 1:10:43 propitiation for us on the cross so that we can be redeemed and saved by trusting him and then a new life begins in us. If any man is in Christ Jesus is a new creation. Old things pass away. Behold all things have 1:11:02 become new. It starts becoming new little by little. Day by day we are being transformed by the spirit of God to be conformed to the image of Christ. And this is what many people um 1:11:19 you know um ignore. We are saved. James also says always compare scripture with scripture. Here it says by grace and through faith you are saved. But listen to what James has to say. James 1:11:39 chapter 2 verse 17. He says, "Even so faith if it has no works is dead being by itself." What's the use that I say I have faith and I don't do 1:11:58 any work, good work after I'm saved? I'm saying not to be saved. To be saved is sheer mercy of Christ, grace of God through faith. And after I am saved, it says faith if it has no 1:12:16 works is dead by being itself. And it speaks about verse 25 about Rahab the harlot. In the same way was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works. 1:12:36 Notice here very clearly Rahab was justified by works. It says here but in Hebrews 11 when it speaks of the heroes of faith where Rahab's name also comes it says Rahab was saved by faith. 1:12:55 It says so faith and works as mentioned here in James go hand in hand. You can't exclude one from the other and say it's by faith alone. If you're that kind by faith alone and you don't do anything about it about 1:13:13 your Christian life and you go back as a barren fruitless you die as a barren fruitless person. I don't think God will ever make an exception. 1:13:32 It says in Titus 2:14 that those who are saved are Titus chapter 2 verse4 1:13:49 he gave himself that is Jesus Christ that we might be redeemed from every lawlessness lawless deed and pure purify for himself 1:14:04 a people for his own possession zealous for good deeds. This is the word of God. We don't read verses like this. And it also says in Titus 3:8 1:14:22 that we should be careful about engaging in good works. In the same page 38, it says, "It is a trustworthy statement, and concerning these things, I want you to speak confidently, Paul says to Titus, so that those who have 1:14:41 believed God may be careful to engage in good deeds." You hear that? Those who believed in God and have been saved should be careful to engage in good 1:15:00 deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. This is God's word. It speaks so much of good works. Not to be saved as I told you earlier because we are saved already by repentance and faith. 1:15:19 And then after that the Holy Spirit works in us and makes us bear fruit. The fruit of the spirit that we read in Galatians 5:22 onwards. 1:15:36 And then again in Colossians chapter 1 verse 10, Paul says, Colossians 1:10, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord to please him in all respects, bearing fruit again 1:15:54 in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. And again in 2 Timothy 3:17 Paul says to Timothy also another ang brother like Titus he says so that the 1:16:11 man of God he's speaking of scripture so that the man of God may be adequate equipped for every good work. So brothers and sisters faith alone is not enough. 1:16:28 We are saved by grace through faith, not by works, but for doing good works which God has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. So if you say or 1:16:46 if I say I am born again and I live as I lived in the past, then my so-called salvation experience is fake. It is not true. I better check up 1:17:04 and wake up. Otherwise, I'm headed to eternal damnation. If my salvation has not brought change lifestyle, 1:17:22 changed lifestyle and I am the same as I was before and there is no um progress, no growth in me, gaining more and more of Christ, gaining more and 1:17:39 more of heavenly riches. If I'm not heading towards that direction, I'm stagnant, then I need to question whether I'm really saved. It is never too late. My dear brothers and sisters, one last word I would like to close with 1:17:56 that is in Ezekiel chapter 37. We know, most of us know this Ezekiel 37. This is the vision of the valley of dry 1:18:16 bones where the Lord tells Ezekiel to go and see. And the spirit of the Lord set me down in the middle of the valley. Verse one, which was full of bones, dry 1:18:35 bones. Remember these were all the bones of dead people, Israelis. And he caused me to pass among them roundabout. And behold, there were many on the surface of the valley, and they were very dry. 1:18:55 I want you to remember that phrase, very dry. You know Jesus said once when a demon is cast out it goes and tries to find waterless places means 1:19:14 dry places. Why waterless places? Not that they are scared of water. The water represents the Holy Spirit. And they go and find those in whom the 1:19:31 spirit of God is not dwelling, which is fertile field for him, which the hearts which are filled with the fertile uh uh fertilizer as it were, 1:19:47 I mean, which Satan likes. It goes and occupies and brings seven more evil spirits more evil than that spirit and they come and occupy that where there is no spirit 1:20:05 there where there is no water and this is a very dry place. And he said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "Lord God, you alone know it." And the Lord tells him to do something 1:20:24 which know brings about a great miracle here. The Lord says to him, "Prophesy over these dry bones and say to them, oh dry bones, hear the word of the Lord." Today the Lord is telling us, "Hear the word 1:20:44 of the Lord. You dry people, some of you sitting here dead in sins and trespasses. You think you are okay, others are wrong. You don't need the savior because you're all um righteous, self-righteous. 1:21:04 You think everything is okay with you. The Lord is telling, "Prophesy. Speak to these bones, these dead bones. say to them, "Oh dry bones, hear the word of the Lord." And he does just that. Behold, I will 1:21:22 cause breath to enter into you that you may come to life. And he prophesies and has as he prophesies step by step, you know, the flesh comes, the senus come and they stand up, but there is no life in 1:21:42 them. And then God says, "Prophesy again. Prophesy again. Prophesy again. And prophesy again." In verse 9, "Prophesy to the breath, oh son of man. Say to the breath, thus says the Lord of Lord God, come from the 1:21:59 four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain that they may live." And he just obeys and does just that. And when I prophesied, as he commanded me, and the breath came 1:22:18 into them, and they came to life, and they stood on their feet, exceedingly great army. These were all dead Israelites bones. One day the Lord is going to call us. And when the last trumpet sounds and 1:22:35 when the Lord calls his people, even those who are dead in the grave, those who have gone ahead of us will listen, will hear and they will come out of the graves. And those of us who are alive, those who have already heard his voice 1:22:55 and are continually hearing his voice and are continually following him will also hear his voice on that day and we will all be taken up together. Are you ready for that day? That's the question. If not, you're not sure. 1:23:14 Today is the day of salvation. Jump out of your coffin, my dear brothers and sisters. Repent. Because the Bible says there is none righteous, not even one. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. 1:23:31 Anybody here who doesn't have the assurance of salvation, that your sins have been forgiven and that you are a child of God. God is your father and you are a child of God. If you don't have that assurance, 1:23:48 let's pray. Let's bow our heads. And as we bow our heads and pray, pray in your heart. Acknowledge, Lord, I am born sinner. 1:24:05 There is nothing that is good in me. Please have mercy on me. Forgive my sins. I repent of my sins, Lord. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me in my place and took the punishment 1:24:22 for me. I believe in him and have mercy on me. Forgive my sins. Cleanse me. Fill me with your spirit and make me your child so that from now on I may live a life that is pleasing in your sight. that I 1:24:42 may walk in the light as you are in the light. That day by day I may be renewed and transformed and ultimately be conformed to the image of Christ. Dear father, we pray that you will help 1:25:00 every needy person here. Pray that your spirit will work in our hearts until we all attain to that maturity and conformity to this son of God 1:25:18 who loved me, who loved us and gave himself up for us. Our father, we thank you for your mercy, for your grace, for your goodness. bless you and worship you in Jesus name. Amen. 1:25:37 Amen. We will sing a song and then we'll have the announcements. Check. Check. 1:26:51 [Music] Francis, let's sing the song. Let your 1:27:09 living water flow over my soul. [Music] 1:27:22 Let your living water flow over my soul. The gospel is the good news that man can 1:31:20 now live as God originally intended. The one who surrenders totally to the claims of Christ can live a life of constant triumph. Yet many who have accepted Christ as their savior do not enter into this 1:31:39 glorious life that the gospel offers. The reason very often is that a good foundation was not laid at the beginning of their Christian life. After we are born again, our life can be compared to a house being built. 1:31:58 The most important part of a house is its foundation. The purpose of this book is to enable you to lay a good foundation in your life so that God's full purpose for your life can be accomplished. [Music] 1:32:18 This book contains topics such as repentance, faith, disciplehip, baptism in water, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and 1:32:37 sanctification. Read this book and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. You can read this book free online at cfcindia.com/books/ a good foundation. 1:33:00 [Music]
