And I was thinking about this hymn we're about to sing, just as I am. Probably every single one here knows this song, even the children. And I was thinking of the line, just as I am, verse two, and 16:03 waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blood. To thee whose blood can cleanse each spot. Oh lamb of God, I come. And I was thinking if there's even one spot in me that's dark, one dark blot this morning, we've heard often in this 16:20 church that even if there's one room in our hearts that's still dark that the Lord has shown us, we can cry out to him this morning. We can come to the lamb of God, to the baptizer in the Holy Spirit, and say, "Lord, fill that room, Lord. 16:34 Cleanse that one dark lot." And this morning, if there's mercy that we need, we can come to the throne of grace and ask for mercy. But there's also grace. In verse 5, we sing, "Thou wilt receive, thou wilt welcome, thou wilt pardon, but not just that, 16:50 thou will cleanse and relieve." There's grace to overcome. We don't have to go back to that way of life. We don't have to go back to those fears. We don't have to go back to that sin that has kept us bound for so many days, so many years, 17:04 months. We can be relieved this morning. Grace can set us free. Those chains can be broken. Where sin has abounded, grace can abound all the more. And we we're coming to the right one. We're coming to the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. Brother 17:18 and sister, your prayer this morning. Whatever it is, there are fears and fightings that you're dealing with, the anxieties in your mind, so many things that have l that have weighed you down, things that you know will be waiting for 17:30 you on Monday. We can come to the baptizer this morning. John said that he baptizes with water, but Jesus will baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire. We can come to him this morning. That's going to be my prayer. Whatever 17:43 has held me back, whatever has whatever that one dark blood is in my heart, that one dark room, I come to the lamb of God. That I come to the baptizer that even as we praise, even as we sing, even as we share our memory verses, that that 17:57 promise will be true. And in the last verse, we sing because thy promise, I believe. Oh lamb of God, I come. Let's come in faith this morning, brothers and sisters. Even as we sing, let's come to the baptizer. Let's come to the Holy 18:11 Spirit and ask for that one dark block to be removed. Ask to be set free. Ask for grace that will go with us, that will strengthen us, that will release us from the bonds of sin. Let's sin.
