0:07 It's good to sing loud. Uh we're not here to listen to each other sing or even to listen to us here singing. We're just here to help you sing. So sing loud. It's not as important how this how the song sounds to you, but that you sing it 0:22 from your heart to your savior. He wants to hear us our praise each of us singing. Help us, Lord, to praise you. You say that your spirit cries out within us with groanings too deep for words. And even when we run out of words, 0:38 pray you'll fill our heart with that spirit of praise that it won't just be something we do when we're here together, but something we do all the time, Lord. We're constantly praising you and this what we have here this this these times 0:50 on Sunday mornings is just an overflow of a heart that's filled with praise for what you've done. You've done great things, Lord. Even if we just look at this week, you've done great things. You've proved yourself over and over 1:02 again as a faithful God. Thank you. Be exalted in Jesus' name. Amen. Let's sing this old hymn. All hail the power of Jesus' name. Let angels prostrate fall. 1:18 Bring forth the royal diadem and crown him Bring forth the royal diadem and crown him Lord Crown him him martyrs of your God who 1:43 from his altar call. Extol him in whose matchless drop and crown him Extol him in whose hand we drop and crown 2:03 him Lord of all. Ye seed of Israel's chosen race, ye ransomed of the fall, hail him who saves you by his grace and crown him 2:22 Lord of all. Hail him who saves you by his grace and crown him Lord of all. Let every tongue Let every tongue and every tribe on this 2:41 terrestrial ball to him all majesty ascribe and crown him Lord of all. To him all majesty ascribe and crown 2:59 him Lord of all. Oh, that with all that with yonder sacred throng we at his feet may fall, we'll join the everlasting song and crown 3:19 him Lord of all. We'll join the everlasting song and crown him Lord of all. Yes, we shall both on this earth and for 3:38 all eternity. Come thou fount of every blessing to my heart to sing thy grace. Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs 3:57 of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious song and sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount fixed upon 4:15 it, mount of Thy redeeming love. Here I raise Oh, hasn't He helped us? Thank you, Lord. Hitherto by Thy help I'm come. And He shall come home. 4:33 And I hope by Thy good pleasure safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the 4:52 fold of God. He to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood. Oh, to raise 5:10 how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be. Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to 5:30 wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Here's my heart, oh, take and seal Yes, here's my Here's heart, oh take 5:49 and Yes, here's my heart. Here's my heart, oh take and see. For your hopes. Seal it for thy God above. We sing in praise because he left his 6:11 father's throne above. So free, so infinite his grace. He emptied himself of everything except love and bled for our helplessness. It's a mercy, it's immense and free that it found me. Praise you, Lord. 6:29 And can it be that I should gain an interest in the Savior's blood? Died he for me who caused his pain? 6:47 For me who him to death pursued? Amazing love, how can it be that thou my God has died for 7:06 me? Amazing love, how can it be that thou my Savior shouldst die for me? He left his father's 7:24 throne above. So free, so infinite his grace. Emptied himself of all but love and bled And for Adam's 7:43 helpless race, 'Tis mercy all, immense and free. For me oh my God it found me. Amazing love, how can 8:02 it be that Thou my God shouldst die for me? Long my imprisoned spirit lay, Fast bound in sin 8:21 and nature's night. Thine eye diffused a quickening light, I woke, the dungeon flamed with light. My chains fell off, my heart was free. 8:42 I rose, went forth, and followed Thee. Amazing love, how can it be that Thou my God shouldst die for me? No condemnation 9:07 now I dread, Jesus and all in Him is mine. Alive in Him, my living Head, And clothed in righteousness 9:25 divine. Bold I approach the eternal throne, And claim the crown through Christ my own. love, how can 9:44 it be that thou my God shouldst die for me? Sing it again, amazing love. Amazing love, how can it be that thou my God shouldst die 10:04 for me? Let's give him praise. Lift your voice and glorify. If you really mean what you say. Thank you, Lord. Praise you. Thank you for your amazing love, Lord. You stooped down to come and pick me up, Lord, that you would call me to be a part of your 10:18 plan of salvation. Help me never, Lord, to lose sight of it, Lord. I bow before you, Lord. I fall on my face and say, "Thank you." With everything within me, I say, "Thank you, Lord." I use my the body you've given me to say, "Thank you, 10:30 Lord." The tongue that you've given me, I lift up your name. We exalt your name. We praise you. We lift you up, Lord, as individuals. We lift you up as as married couples that you brought together. We lift you up as families, 10:42 Lord, that you've united. And we lift you up as a church, a local expression of your church, your body, Lord, that's here. Praise you, Lord. You're worthy to be praised. May we never get tired of it. May we never be ones who are 10:53 ashamed, Lord, for what you've done for us. We will only sing and use our tongue to praise you, Lord. We'll only use our tongue to edify and to build up your body. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us, Lord. That's our cry. We look up to you. 11:05 You said we could open our mouth wide and you would fill it, Lord. So, do that. Fill our tongues, Lord, with the spirit of heaven, the spirit of praise that's there. Lord, anoint our tongues, anoint our hearts. Lord, that we might 11:17 see you, that the eyes of our hearts will be open to see you. We praise you. We exalt you, Lord. You are the only one that's worthy to be to to be honored and glorified and worshipped and adored. Lord Jesus, praise you. Thank you that you're seated 11:31 on the throne and all power and authority and glory belongs to you. You're in control, Lord, of this earth that like you've always been, Lord, you've never lost control of it. You're the sovereign king of kings and lord of 11:42 lords. And even though this world is passing away, Lord, we are part of that kingdom that's eternal, that city whose builder and maker is God, whom you've designed it, Lord, and we're part of that city. Thank you for giving us a 11:52 home up in heaven above that we don't seek anything here on this earth. No home, no pleasure, no investment here on this earth, Lord, that will last. Everything's passing away. Thank you, Lord, you've given us an eternal hope, 12:05 eternal hope. Thank you. Praise you in Jesus' name. Amen. May be seated. Let's continue to pray and consecrate our lives to the Lord. Consecrate this week afresh to the Lord this day. Today is a day of salvation and 12:24 he's not just talking about a one-time being born again. It's the daily work of salvation that he invites us to be a part of that today we'll be more conformed into the image of Jesus. There's a work that he wants to do in us 12:38 through this Holy Spirit. There's a word he wants to speak to us, just like he spoke every day to the earth and something happened. Lord Jesus, we come to you expecting that you would speak as you spoke light into the darkness. 12:51 As you spoke to the barren earth and it bore fruit. Lord, as you spoke to the dust and breathed life into it and we became alive as human beings, Lord, do that work that you're ultimately wanting to do, to breathe life into our inner 13:04 man. Breathe in your Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, and fill us. Take control of our lives, Lord. We lay our all on the altar. I pray, Lord, for anyone who's holding anything back. If there's something that's a hang-up, Lord, that's 13:16 preventing the outpouring of your Holy Spirit from falling upon us, from that fire from coming and consuming everything. Lord, show it to me if it's in my heart, Lord. Show it to us if there's any area in anybody here listening to this 13:28 prayer, Lord, that's that's the blockage, that's the reason why the fire has not yet fallen, Lord. And may we never go another day without thirsting for it. May we never leave this place without a deeper thirst and hunger for your 13:41 anointing, Lord, for your presence in our midst in a real way. Light a fire in our hearts, Lord, that will change the way we live this week. That it won't be just like last week, no matter how good or bad it's been. That this week will be 13:52 more consecrated to you, more taken up with, more setting our minds on heavenly things, not on earthly things. Do that, Lord, we pray. We give our whole bodies to you. Body, soul, and spirit. We know you're committed to sanctifying it, Lord. Do 14:05 that. We lay it all on the altar. Every plan we had for this week, you can tear it up, Lord, if you want. We really mean that. Take it all, Lord. Our money, it's yours. Our time, it's yours, Lord. Our children, they're yours. Our families, 14:17 our plans, our work, that's yours, Lord Jesus. Do with it as you will. We're here for one reason alone, that's to further your kingdom. So, do that, Lord, through this church. Let River of Life, the members here, Lord, those who are 14:29 part of this body, be living examples of this different world we're living in. This different kingdom that we're a part of. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Pray for any who are in a spiritual battle, Lord. I pray those who are discouraged in any 14:41 way or confused or doubting in some way of your plan and your working in their lives, Lord. Uncertain or if their Christian life doesn't look like what they thought it would be when they came to you. Lord Jesus, show us who you 14:52 really are. Shine your light so brightly upon us, Lord. Turn our eyes to you that you will see you in all your glory, and the things of this earth will grow dim. All our hang-ups, all our agendas, all our motives and preferences, Lord, will dim 15:07 will will die out in the darkness by the brightness of you, who you are. Be to us everything, Lord, that we just sang. Um thank you. Thank you for that amazing love. So, I pray in the name of Jesus you'll break the The of any who are 15:20 bound in sin, discouragement, unbelief, fear, anxiety, worry, uh complaining, grumbling, all these things, Lord, I pray you'll you'll break those bonds that are bi- binding any in the name of Jesus. Thank you that Satan is a defeated 15:34 enemy, Lord. We're not in uncertain about whether the name of Jesus works. We know it does cuz you've already defeated him. Forever he is defeated. And we trust that permanent work of victory you've already done. We exalt 15:46 you. We bind your work, Satan, in the name of Jesus. Any area in which you would bring influence into any individual, any marriage, any home, or into this church in any way, we bind your work. And we know you are bound. 15:57 Your your work is bound through the name of Jesus. Thank you. Thank you, Father. Thank you that you've given us power. You've given us a sword. You've given us shield. You've given us armor to resist the devil in every area. And he need not 16:10 have any foothold in any area of our life, in our thought life, or our motives, or our attitudes. Praise you, Lord. Be exalted. Pray for our material and physical needs as well. Lord, you touch those who are sick. We pray this, Lord, often, and we 16:23 continue to pray. We're not giving up, Lord Jesus, because we know we can come to you and ask you. You're our Father. As a father pities his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. Thank you, Lord. You have 16:35 compassion because you know our frame. You know what we're made up of, Lord. You know how weak we are and frail we are, not only physically, but emotionally even, Lord. You took on body. You took on emotions like us, Lord, so that you would be able to say 16:48 to us that you are a compassionate and understanding high priest. Help us to trust you more, Lord Jesus. Thank you. We've proven you, Lord, this last week. We've proven you this last month, this last year, and the years past. You've 17:00 proven yourself that those who trust in you were never put to shame. And you're going to prove yourself We're going to prove that even this week and in the months to come and the years to come. So, Lord, do that. Or ultimately, Lord, 17:11 we ask that your will be done. We know we can always get grace in every situation if we're humble. So, we humble ourselves Lord and we say no matter how you answer our prayers whether it's a yes or a no or a wait, give us grace Lord. Thank you that we 17:25 can come to your throne of grace and get help right at that moment. We don't have to wait long for it if we're humble. You will give us grace Lord. We don't have to doubt. And so we ask you today without any doubting believing that you 17:36 will give uh give us wisdom Lord to know how to make decisions in every situation. How to be wise in our words. How to be wise in our thoughts. We long for that Lord. We don't want to just live by our own ideas and our own wisdom 17:49 or earthly wisdom that's demonic. We want heavenly wisdom Lord. So, pour out your spirit of wisdom upon us. We know how to do even to discern between the soul and the spiritual. To discern between what is best and what is good 18:02 Lord that we will always choose the excellent. To prove that excellent way. Let our love grow in discernment Lord we pray and thank you. Build a deeper unity in our church Lord we pray among us. We pray for every marriage that you'll knit 18:14 the hearts of husbands and wives together. Knit the hearts of parents and children Lord. Knit the hearts of families in this church in a deeper unity Lord in the spirit in the bond of peace Lord. Help us to seek peace in 18:25 every situation. To humble ourselves to be a greater wheat that falls into the ground and dies. Thank you. We believe you've heard our prayer Lord Jesus. You've heard the cry. Uh you've heard these spoken words but you've heard even 18:36 the silent words from every heart that's sincerely looking up to you. We believe you will do that. You invite us all who are weary and heavy laden to come to you knowing that we will find rest. Thank you. Help us not to miss this rest. Help us 18:52 to be diligent to enter this rest. We fear Lord less the rest that remains for us that we will miss it somehow. So, we come to you with expectation. We come to you with reverence and godly fear. Lead us to rest. We believe you will 19:07 Lord. We take your yoke upon us as well. We're learning from you how to be meek and lowly, to always take that lowly path of humility. Doesn't matter how others treat us or what they say about us, help us to be truly lowly and we shall find rest 19:24 for our souls. Thank you, Lord. We ask these in Jesus' name. Amen. Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of who thou art. I am finding out the greatness of 19:44 thy loving heart. Thy blessed face upon me and thy beauty fills my soul. For by thy transforming power, thou 20:02 hast made me whole. Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of who thou art. I am finding out the greatness of thy 20:21 loving Let's have the sisters start the second verse. Oh, how great thy loving kindness, vaster and broader than the sea. 20:38 Oh, how marvelous thy goodness, lavished on me. Joy of the Lord, yes. Yes, I rest in thee, beloved. No wealth of grace is thine. What wealth? 20:56 Know thy certainty of promise and have made Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of who thou art. I am finding out 21:15 the greatness of thy love. Simply trusting thee, Lord Jesus, I behold thee as thou art. And thy 21:33 love so pure, so changeless, satisfies my heart. Satisfies its deepest longings, meets and supplies its every need. 21:50 Compasses me round with blessings. Thine is love indeed. Ever lift thy face upon me as I work and wait for thee. Resting 'neath thy smile, Lord 22:09 Jesus, where the shadows flee. Brightness of my Father's glory, sunshine of my Father's face. Keep me ever trusting, resting, 22:28 fill me with thy grace. Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of who thou art. I am finding out the greatness of thy 22:47 love. Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of who thou art. I am finding out the greatness of thy love. Here's another old hymn. It's written by 23:18 Madame Guyon. And uh you know, she lived out these words that we're about to sing. She had a pretty rough life in many respects in an earthly sense, but she knew her God. She walked with Jesus in in intimacy and fellowship, and God gave 23:35 her tremendous revelation of himself. I want to read these words so that we because there are some big words in there, children, it's important that you understand what we're about to sing as well. When we say all scenes alike engaging 23:48 prove, that means that if we're really living for the kingdom of heaven, doesn't matter what the scene looks like here on this earth, whether we're in a doctor's office and hearing some bad news, or we're getting a promotion in a job, 24:01 or something's going on with the children that we don't understand, we're engaged because we're engaged with heaven, not with anything here on this earth. It'll be that way if we're impressed with one thing alone, and that's sacred 24:14 love. May we always, always, always only be impressed with the love of God, not the love of anything here on this earth. And so wherever we dwell, we dwell in him. In heaven and earth, or even on the sea, for cot or boat, 24:31 God is there. We're dwelling in him. The next verse, to me remains nor place nor time. My country is in every climate. That means we're not Americans, or Indians, or Nigerians, or Mexicans, or any other country. My country is wherever God places me 24:48 while I'm here on this earth because I'm seeking a place, a city. My citizenship is in heaven, like we're told. So it doesn't matter where God places me. I can be calm and free from care wherever he places me since God is 25:04 there. While we seek places or we choose other places, you might choose a certain home and not another home, but the soul will never find happiness in any of these things and should never find happiness in any of these things. 25:18 But, if you have God to guide your way, if he answers your prayer and gives you something, that's great. If he doesn't, holds it back from you and answers your prayer that way, that's fine. It's equal joy to go or stay. 25:32 But, the only dreadful lot is to be cast where God is not. Could I be cast where you are not? That's sin. God can never dwell where there is sin. So, while we tolerate sin, while we tolerate unforgiveness or bitterness or 25:46 critical attitude, that God's not there. Even if we pray to him or seek his name, if he if we tolerate sin, he's not there. That's the only dreadful line. But, I don't call anything remote if I can be sure of finding God in all. 26:03 So, my dwelling place is you alone. No other can I claim my own. I choose not to claim any other own, any other dwelling place. The point where all my wishes meet, my law, my love, is the only thing in life that is sweet 26:19 is Jesus himself. So, let me to your throne run and never be a stranger there at the throne of grace. There love divine shall be my guard and peace and safety my reward. It's a rich hymn. Sing with it Sing with us. You should 26:36 know the melody, so sing loud from your heart. All scenes alike engaging to souls impressed with sacred ties, there 26:54 they dwell in me, in heaven, earth, or on the sea. To me remains no place nor time. My country is in 27:13 every clime. I can become and free from care, for any shore since God is there. While place we seek or place 27:31 we shun, to us all might happiness be known, but with my God to guide my way, 'tis equal joy to go 27:49 or stay. Could I be cast where Thou art, God, that were indeed a dreadful lot, but regions don't remote 28:08 I call, secure if finding God is all. My dwelling place I know alone, no other can I claim my own, 28:29 but points there all my wishes be, my love, my love, lies only in Thee. Then let me do Thy holy will, and never be still. 28:50 a stranger there. There love divine shall be my God and peace and safety my reward. There love divine shall 29:11 be my God and peace and safety my reward.
