If you are not doing that, and you say you are looking forward to the coming of Christ, whether you know it or not, you are a liar. 8:46 If you are not looking forward to the coming of Christ, if you look forward to the coming of Christ, every day, you will seek to be holier than yesterday. And there will be no backsliding in your Christian life, there is no such thing as standing still in the Christian life. 9:11 You are either going forward to the coming of Christ, you are either going forward or going backwards. You know, it is like cycling up a steep hill slope. If you keep on cycling up a steep hill slope, if you keep on cycling up a steep hill slope, if you stand still, you go backwards. 9:40 You can't sort of put a break and stand there in the Christian life, not possible. Whereas, most Christians never learn about those things because they are still trying to pass their kindergarten lesson. 11:47 Don't you think you will be disappointed if your child is sitting in kindergarten for 10 years? I tell you, God is disappointed with most of his children. But so many people satisfy themselves. I am going to church. 12:08 I am giving some money. I am doing some evangelism. What does it say here? Those who have this hope will go to church regularly. Those who have this hope will do a lot of evangelism or give money for God's word. 12:29 That's what preachers have told you. The Holy Spirit says, those who have this hope will purify themselves. And when you purify yourself, you will be able to do God's work much better. See, the water that the river of life that flows from heaven is absolutely pure. 12:58 But because it has to flow through human channels, it's pretty corrupt by the time it reaches people. You can have a tank of distilled water. If you send it through a dirty pipe, it's not pure by the time it reaches the other end. 13:27 So, it's no use saying, I want to give the water of life to other people. I want to give it, I want to give it. I want to give the gospel to others. Is it the water of life that flows from heaven? Then, make sure your pipe is clean. 13:51 That is why purifying yourself is so important. I mean, I found that through the years. You know, some people accuse us like this. Accuses our churches. That you churches, you people are just sitting purifying yourself. 14:14 I said, is that a crime? It's written in 1 John chapter 3. Everyone who has this hope, that's what they do. I said, so we are proud of the fact that you accuse us of purifying ourselves. Not proud in ourselves, but glad, we can say, that we have discovered the truth of God's word. 14:43 Because, when we purify ourselves, the pipe becomes clean. And every ministry we do becomes better. If you are an evangelist, your evangelism will become better. Because, to that poor, unconverted person, you will not be giving dirty water anymore, but clean water. 15:13 Otherwise, how will we give the gospel? Supposing you tell a non-Christian person. You know, Jesus died. He can forgive your sins. There is no other way to be saved, except believing that he died for you on the cross. 15:34 And that non-Christian person says, Oh, this is such a wonderful message. But, can your Jesus help me in one problem I have? I can get angry with my wife, frequently. Can your Jesus save me from, save me from that? 15:57 What do you say? You say, oh, Jesus hasn't saved me from that, so I don't know whether he can save you. But, I can tell you, he'll forgive you. You can get angry with your wife every day, he'll forgive you. That non-Christian will say, 16:17 Thank you, I don't want your gospel. I don't blame him for saying that. Because, that's a third rate, adulterated, good for nothing gospel. And, most preachers who are preaching that, are preaching such a gospel, Jesus cannot save me from my sin, 16:38 but you can keep on sinning every day, he'll keep on forgiving you. He will never be able to save you from, lusting with your eyes after women, but you do it, and he'll forgive you. 17:00 You show me one place in the New Testament, where such a rotten gospel is preached. But, it's being preached all over India. And, when we preach something else, they say it's a heresy. 17:21 Why? Because, the great burden, in a lot of Christian work today, is to somehow take people to heaven. Oh, they're going to hell. Bring them to heaven. Show me one verse in the Bible, 17:41 where Jesus said that. One verse. He said, go into all the world, and make disciples. Preach the gospel. Let them believe. And, let them get baptized. And, then make them disciples. 18:02 I'll show that to you. In Mark chapter 16, you see one half, of the great commission, that Jesus gave to his disciples. Verse 15. Go into all the world, and preach the gospel, 18:23 to all creation. Verse 16. He who has believed, and is baptized, will be saved. This is like, two sides of a currency note, or two sides of a coin. It's one side. 18:45 Here's the other side. Matthew 28. When you go into all the world, and when you preach the gospel, and when you preach the gospel, to all creation, and when they believe, here's what you must do. This is the continuation, 19:05 of Mark 16. Matthew 28. Verse 19. You must make disciples, in every nation. Don't just be satisfied, that they believe in me. 19:27 I have not come here, to take people to heaven, I have come here, to make disciples. Have you ever heard, any apostle, preaching like this? How many of you, want to go to heaven? How many of you, don't want to go to hell? 19:48 That is not the gospel, they preach. They were told, to go into every nation, and make disciples. And after you, make them disciples, baptize them. And then, it still hasn't finished. Verse 20. Teach all these people, 20:12 not to sit back, and wait for heaven. No. Teach them to do, every single thing, I commanded you. And if you do that, listen. 20:33 If you do that, if you go into all the world, make disciples of all nations. And if you, teach them to do, what I told you. I promise you, I will be with you, always, even to the end of the age. 20:56 I have found, Christians are experts, at taking half a verse, and claiming it. I have seen this, in so many houses. Lo, I am with you, always, unto the end of the age. That is half a verse. 21:20 And when you quote, half a verse, it's a lie. Because it begins with, and, Lo, I am with you, always. To whom, with whom is the Lord, always? Is he with that, atheist, and that, godless sinner? 21:42 Is he with everyone, who says, Lord Jesus, come into my heart? See what it says. Go and make disciples. Teach them to do, everything I commanded you. Then I will be with you, always. 22:03 And I can testify, to that honestly. I have been through, all types of circumstances, in the last, so many, 20, 30 years. And the Lord has been with me, every time. And he's delivered me. And that's why, I never get discouraged. 22:24 Never. I can't even remember, the last time I got discouraged, 20, 30 years ago. How can you be discouraged, when Jesus is with you? If you get discouraged, you're testifying, Jesus is not with me, right now. 22:45 There is one way, by which I have, I have found out, to test whether, I am in the Lord's presence, all the time or not. It's a simple test. For myself, it has worked, for many years. We can all imagine, yeah, 23:05 I am in the presence of God. Especially, when you have, a little quiet time, in the morning, you read the Bible, and you pray, I am in the presence of God. Then how can you, get up from that place, and go and sin? 23:26 How can you go, and lust after a woman, after that? How can you get angry, with your wife, after that? Were you in God's presence? No. You were just, reading the Bible. You could be, you could be reading the Bible, like you read a science book. 23:46 That's all. It doesn't mean, God's presence. For myself, this is the test. If you want, you can accept it. Psalm 16, verse 11. In the middle of that verse, it says, In thy presence, is fullness of joy. 24:13 Did you hear that? In God's presence, there is not just joy, but fullness of joy. It's like an overflowing fountain. It's like, and where there's an overflowing stream all the time, everything will be green, nothing will be dry. 24:38 Is your life like that? Is your life like that? Fullness of joy. Never discouraged. Never in a bad mood. Fullness of joy in God's presence. Then every word that comes out of your mouth, will have an anointing and a freshness about it. 25:04 In ordinary conversation, in ordinary conversation, or if you're a preacher from the pulpit also. It will never change. But, if you don't have fullness of joy, according to this verse, you are not in God's presence. 25:26 Whether you believe it or not, that's God's word. So, whenever I lose my joy, for any reason, it's like my losing one lakh of rupees from my pocket. I've never had one lakh rupees in my pocket. 25:47 I've never had. But, supposing I did have one day, I was going somewhere. Suddenly, I found I misplaced it somewhere. What will you do? You will stop everything and go and look, where did I misplace that one lakh rupees 26:07 that was in my pocket? That is how I go searching for the presence of God when I have lost the fullness of joy in my life. It's absolute truth. 26:28 God is my witness. Whenever there's some temptation to be discouraged, or temptation to fear, or be anxious, sure, temptation comes to me, comes to you, he came to Jesus also. 26:48 Jesus was tempted in all points like you and me. He didn't ignore it. He fought it. I'm not going to fear, I'm not going to get anxious. I'm not going to get discouraged. I go searching, where did I lose the presence of God? 27:11 Did I gossip somewhere accidentally? You know, so many Christians gossip, that is the main reason they lose the presence of God. They sit at home and talk about other people, all types of evil things. I will tell you 27:31 who will be with you at that time, the devil, the devil, the accuser of the brethren. And God will be one million miles away when you do that. If you sit at the computer, you call yourself a believer, and you go watching 27:51 some internet pornography site, at that moment, at that moment, you can be pretty sure the devil is sitting right next to you. God is a million miles away. You can call yourself believer, but you're an unbeliever at that time. 28:14 Because you don't care for the presence of God. Because you're not a disciple. You just want to go to heaven. And you watch that dirty thing on the computer, and then go to Jesus and say, Lord, please forgive me. And you know that 28:34 you're going to do it again tomorrow or next week. That is not the Christianity that Jesus or the whole apostles preached. So, teach them to do everything I commanded you. 29:00 That is evangelism. the great commission. According to Matthew 28, 20. I remember many years ago. When I left the Navy, when I was 26 years old, I spent nine years 29:21 traveling all over the country. I remember in the town I was living in, I spent two years standing on every street corner and preaching the gospel. Twice a week, I would go out and stand alone with one other brother and preach the gospel. 29:46 And I traveled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to Nagaland. to see what Christian work was like in India. And everywhere I saw how people were interested. Get these people to heaven somehow. 30:08 Just get them to believe in Jesus. Raise their hand in some meeting. Sign some decision card. Make them say, Lord Jesus come into my heart. Okay, you're finished. Go to the next person. It's like these doctors who try to make money. 30:30 You know, hundreds of patients. Okay, here is your tablet. Give me your money. Go. Next one. Here is a tablet. Go. Give me your money. This is the rotten type of evangelism going on in India today. Say, Lord Jesus come into my heart. 30:51 Okay, you're safe. Now go. Next, come. And I saw these people who have all claimed to be Christians. Baptized. Baptized. Fighting with each other. Fighting with each other. Going to court. Their children are wayward. 31:13 Their husband and wife don't live together in peace. And I said, Lord, something is wrong. I was only 30, 33 years old. And I said, Lord, something is wrong. I got discouraged. 31:35 And I said, Lord, I myself am like that. You got to do something for me. God met with me. Filled me with the Holy Spirit. And showed me that what was missing was people who were not being made 31:55 disciples. They were just being converted. Without repentance. Without being explained what sin is. and they just called themselves 32:15 Christians now. They now sing songs to Jesus Christ. The village where when they were unconverted they used to sing songs to Krishna. Now they just turned one syllable and sang the same song to Krista. their life was the same. 32:42 Everything was the same. Now they go to church. This is the type of Christianity that's going on in many parts of our country. where are the people who have taught them to do everything Jesus commanded. 33:04 Is that in your Bible in Matthew 28 verse 20? Is this some new gospel I am preaching? It has been in the Bible for 2000 years. Teach them to do everything I commanded. Teach them 33:24 that anger is like murder. Matthew 5 Teach them that lusting after a woman is exactly like committing adultery. Teach them always to speak the truth. Teach them not to love money. How many 33:44 preachers are there who are teaching other people not to love money? Most of the pastors are teaching people how to love money because they themselves love money. They are teaching people how not to do what Jesus taught. 34:06 And that's why they get angry when the truth is preached. And that's why the devil shuts the mouths of so many preachers and say don't preach that because your numbers will become less. you know there was one person who was 34:25 never afraid of his numbers becoming less. That was Jesus Christ. When people went away he said let them go. I'm not going to call them back. And he asked his 12 if you also want to go you go. I'm not 34:45 going to lower the standard of discipleship to get more people. this is the trouble in so many churches. God's standards have been lowered. You don't have to make disciples anymore. 35:06 You don't have to teach everybody to do every single thing Jesus commanded. Matthew 28 verse 20 is thrown out of their Bibles. I said then you must be honest and take a pen and scratch out that verse and say this doesn't 35:23 apply now. And what is the result? The result is we have so many people today who are religious. They are not disciples of Jesus Christ. 35:45 They have no control over their tongue. because they are not disciples. One mark of a true disciple of Jesus is found in James chapter 1. 36:08 He is a real disciple of Jesus Christ. But he cannot control his tongue. His whole Christianity is worth zero. Okay, let's leave out all the other verses. Just take one verse. 36:30 Do you really believe that all Christians believe this? You who are sitting here, tell me if you believe it. I remember the day that came in my life when I believed it. 36:51 And it changed my life. What did the Lord say? If you think you're a Christian and you cannot control your tongue when you speak to people, your whole Christianity is worth zero. 37:14 Don't you read sometimes in the papers some 18 year old boy or girl from a rich family gets drunk, drives the car, cannot control themselves and drive 37:34 over some poor people sleeping on the pavement, kill them. It happens all the time in India. The fellow does not know how to control the car. 37:56 He should not be allowed to drive. What about a Christian who cannot control his tongue? It's in the same category. There's all these people who cannot control a car. If 38:16 you cannot control a car, don't drive. If you cannot control your tongue, at least don't call yourself a Christian. Don't bring dishonor to the name of Jesus Christ with your uncontrolled 38:37 tongue. Say honestly, my Christianity according to James 1 26 is worth zero. I said that to the Lord once. 38:58 I said I cannot control my tongue Lord. I get angry with my wife. My Christianity is worth zero. But I want you to change that. I am a student who is getting zero in mathematics. I want to get 100%. And 39:20 I'm willing to take any amount of private tuition but I want to get 100%. How many of you will be happy with a child who is always getting zero in mathematics. I knew God may love me but he's not happy with me if I'm getting 39:37 zero in my Christianity. Some of you may think God is very happy with you. But here it says if you cannot control your tongue your Christianity is worth zero. You are like a child who is getting zero in mathematics 39:57 every year and some of you have been Christians for 15 years 20 years you're still getting zero and you're not disturbed about it and you fool yourself to think oh God must be so happy with 40:17 me he loves you that I know but he's not happy with you are you happy with your child who gets zero every year in mathematics yeah but God gives me so many things even 40:39 if your child gets zero for 20 years you'll still give that child food and clothing so don't say oh God has given me a job God has given me a house God has given me food clothing that means nothing but 41:01 Jesus said God gives the sun and the rain even to the people who are evil and unrighteous material blessings are given by God to everybody that is why you can be an atheist 41:21 or a godless person you can become rich in this world and you can be a godless atheist and have good health because health and wealth are something God gives to everybody it's how many times it comes deceitful spirits I asked the Lord once I said Lord why have you allowed all these deceitful spirits to come into Christendom the Lord says 1:00:49 I want to test my people to
